AEW hopes the best for Jon Moxley.

As first shared on Twitter by Tony Khan, Jon Moxley is coming to terms with his personal demons, and we here, too, at the Chairshot wish him well.

Kenny Omega w/ Michael Nakazawa VS Alan Angels!

The Cleaner opens Dynamite against a man who’s proven he can keep with him. Independence is fired up for this one, but will Omega have smooth sailing into Full Gear?

The bell rings and Angels SHOTGUNS Omega! Angels fires off in the corner, stomps away on Omega, but lets off as the ref counts. Omega comes back with a hard kick down low! Omega CHOPS Angels, CHOPS him again, then chokes him against the ropes! The ref counts, fans boo and Omega lets off at 4. Omega CLUBS Angels, CHOPS him again, and fans taunt Omega with “KENNY NO BALLS!” Omega CLUBS Angels more, digs his boots in at the corner, but lets off at 4 again. Omega comes back for more and applauds himself but the ref counts again. Omega lets off at 4, whips Angels but Angels rolls and dodges and things speed up, calf kick from Angels! Cover, ONE!

Angels brings Omega up but Omega pokes him in the eye! Fans boo, the ref reprimands, but Omega reels Angels in for a back suplex. Angels lands on his feet, bobs ‘n’ weaves but swings into a full nelson! Angels arm-drags out and Omega goes to a corner. Angels runs in but into a boot! Omega runs in to KOTARO KRUSHER! And then he KICKS Angels right in the side! Omega runs to pie face STO Angels down! Cover, TWO! Omega slashes the throat, drags Angels up and reels him in to hook the leg. AOI SHODOU! Angels flounders, Omega takes aim and BANG! Omega runs but Angels dodges the V-Trigger to roll him up! TWO!!

Omega runs in, blocks the boot and puts Angels on the apron. Angels GAMANGIRIS, then he dodges Omega! Angels builds speed to DIVE! Direct hit into the railing! Angels drags Omega up, but Omega RAMS him into the apron! Omega snarls as he RAMS Angels into the railing! Omega has a wild grin as he brings Angels around RAM him into the apron edge. Angels stands and Omega CHOPS him! Omega whips, Angels tiger feints to kick from the apron! Angels goes up the corner to ARIHARA MOONSAULT! Direct hit again! Angels puts Omega in the ring, climbs up top and CROSSBODIES! Cover, TWO!!

Fans fire up and Angels hurries back to the corner. Angels climbs, Dark Order pose, FROG SPLASH onto knees! Omega saves himself and reels Angels in for a BUCKLE BOMB! And then a whip to a pop-up SPINEBUSTER! Cover, TWO!! Angels survives and Omega is frustrated. Omega drags Angels up, reels him in again and underhooks the arms. Angels resists the lift, Omega keeps trying. Omega throws down palm strike after strike to Angels’ neck! Fans rally and duel as Omega gets Angels back up. Omega underhooks again but Angels fights free! Omega ROCKS him with a forearm but Angels gives it back! Omega hits again, Angels KICKS the leg!

Omega hobbles, JABS, JABS, and Angels responds with forearms! Angels runs but into a CHOP! Omega reels Angels in to full nelson but Angeles breaks free! Angels goes to run but Omega reels him in to CLUB him! Electric Chair, but Angels sunset flips, TWO!! Omega V-TRIGGERS! Cover, TWO!! Omega was too cocky with that cover and fans are fired up! Omega kicks Angels back to ropes, takes aim again, BANG! V-TRIGGER! Omega keeps going, another V-TRIGGER! Cover, Omega wins!

Winner: Kenny Omega, by pinfall

Nakazawa gets the AEW World Champion a mic to tell Angels, “I never had a chance to thank you. You embarrassed me, you ruined my career, and from that, you gave yourself a great opportunity. But as the God of Pro-Wrestling, Angels, I have the power to giveth, and I have the power to taketh away. Nakazawa, give me the chair.” Nakazawa fetches the chair, just as Omega said. Omega kicks the chair to center and drags Angels over. Electric Chair lift, but here comes HANGMAN! Fans fire up and Omega is panicking! Nakazawa runs up but gets clobbered! Angels snatches the chair away, too! Slingshot, but Omega ducks the Buckshot just in time!

Hangman stares Omega down, and look what Omega left in the ring! Hangman sees the title, and picks it up! Hangman grins as he tells Omega, “I think you forgot something. So I’ll play nice, I’ll lay it right here. You better hold tight to it, you’ve got ten days.” Will the Cowboy take the title from the Best Bout Machine when they finally face off at Full Gear?

Malakai Black speaks.

“Why do men of power always think that their decisions serve more than their own interests?” Tony Khan’s decision to bar Malakai from ringside tonight will not affect anything. It will not change the outcome of this match. And do you know why this decision won’t have an affect? When they assassinated Caesar, it wasn’t just Markus that betrayed him. Ominous words from the Dark Father. Does that mean someone closer to Cody Rhodes is ready to betray him and join the House of Black?

CM Punk heads to the ring!

Independence rocks out for the Best in the World as he gets the mic. The fans chant his name as he squats in the ring. He’s sorry for not doing a stage dive. He’s not in the best mood. He just wants a few minutes to talk to us seriously. “There’s two people who aren’t here today, and one has a very legitimate reason as to not be here, and that’s the name I want to hear chanted, and that’s Jon Moxley.” Fans do chant for Moxley, and then Punk says he could spend all his time listening to that because it is important to him.

Punk has history with Jon Moxley. They’re not super tight or best of friends, but last night, Punk’s traveling here and he gets a phone call. He gets the situation explained to him, and he knows what it’s like to go and go and have to think you’re so tough and be sick yet show up to work and all these things that get compounded. Eventually, it gets to a point where you have to take yourself off the hamster wheel. He’s been criticized for it. But he doesn’t want anyone criticizing Moxley because Punk is so damn proud of him.

And he’ll say one last thing about it: If anyone here or watching at home is in a place where you think you need help, get help! Reach out, text or call someone! There’s nothing harder than you could do but also nothing more courageous. There’ve been plenty of times Punk thought about getting help but didn’t because he thought he was being a tough guy.

Now to the second guy that’s not here tonight… Eddie Kingston. Kingston’s not here so Punk can’t ask him to his face so he has to do this. It might be embarrassing but Punk felt Kingston was embarrassing himself last week. Punk doesn’t like being interrupted, so here we are. Punk doesn’t know what fabricated story Kingston has in his head, maybe there was something Punk did years ago, but there’s no such thing. Fans want him to fight Kingston, and Punk would, but Kingston isn’t here. Fans chant for Full Gear, and Full Gear is an option, but St. Louis is right up the road, so if Kingston has the balls, because Punk has the time, that’s where Punk will accept an apology.

And Punk will leave us with this. Because Moxley isn’t here, there’s a spot open in the title eliminator tournament, and Punk was going to fill that after settling up with Kingston. But now you don’t get that, you don’t get Punk VS Orange Cassidy, you don’t get possibly Punk VS Danielson at Full Gear. Don’t boo Punk, boo Kingston who thinks he’s somebody. Friday, Punk finds out exactly who Kingston is! The Best in the World just called out the Mad King for Rampage, will they go on a rampage in St. Louis?

Miro speaks.

“My God, I cursed you, I warned you, I threatened you. And then I waited patiently. And now the word comes in that The Redeemer, God’s Forsaken Champion, has been put in the title race all of a sudden. Is that you trying to help me? Or are you trying to toy with me? When I look up in anger, do you look down in fear? Because in this tournament, it is you who needs to prove yourself to me, like I need to prove myself to her. For my road home is clear now, and it is going to be paved with skulls with those who dare to stand in front of me! I will be champion! I will be forgiven! I will be loved! And then, you will be forgiven.” Will Orange Cassidy be living on a prayer against the wrath of Miro?

Backstage interview with The Super Kliq.

Alex Marvez is with Adam Cole, The Young Bucks and even Brandon Cutler, pointing out that Full Gear is coming. What is the plan for them? First of all, last week was 100% a fluke! Something like that will never happen again! And do you know why? Because he and the Bucks will remind everyone how bad they are! Nick Jackson says they’re tough guys! They’re not afraid of anyone! But then Christian Cage walks in. Matt Jackson tells him not to do anything stupid. It’s 3v1 (Cutler doesn’t count) and they’ll just beat him down like last time. Bad move, alright? But then LUCHASAURUS walks in! The Bucks try and talk this out, then try to walk away.

But then they throw hands, only to get thrown around! Christian fires hands on Cole while Luchasaurus takes care of both Bucks! And this spills out towards the arena area, just off to the side of the stage! The brawling continues but then  Matt LOW BLOWS Luchasaurus! Cole whips Christian into the stage! The Super Kliq regroup to whip Luchasaurus into barriers! But wait! JUNGLE BOY FLIES IN from the stage!! Him being tossed last week did nothing to keep him out of this fight! But then Matt gets up to throat chop him! Matt goes up towards the stage, Christian SPEARS him down!

Christian brings Matt to the metal light structure, gets the arms, but Nick is there! SUPERKICK! The Bucks regroup, Cole crawls out from the tunnel as Luchasaurus stalks behind him! Luchasaurus choke grips the Bucks, throws Matt down and JB RANAS Matt down the ramp! Luchasaurus uppercuts Nick, headbutts Cole, and JB positions Cole for Luchasaurus to CHOKE SLAM Nick onto Cole! JB puts Cole in the SNARE TRAP! Luchasaurus TOSSES Nick down the ramp to join Matt! Christian returns and has CHAIRS! Christian wants to go Rated R as he puts Cole on one chair and gets the other! CON-CHAIR-TO!!

Cole twitches, fans want “One More Time!” but Christian leaves it at this. Will Captain Charisma and the Jurassic Express run through Super Kliq now that they’re back to 100%?

AEW hears from TBS Championship Tournament competitors.

Ruby Soho says that when Tony Khan first announced this tournament, it was monumental for the company. Kris Statlander knows she hasn’t faced Ruby before, but she’s known about her longer than Ruby’s known about Kris. Ruby says she is a big fan of Kris’, and admits this will be one hell of a match. The Galaxy’s Greatest Alien doesn’t need a title to prove herself, but it couldn’t hurt. Ruby’s nervous, but confident. Who comes out of the quarterfinals one step closer to that historic new title?

AAA Tag Team Championships Open Challenge: FTR w/ Tully Blanchard VS Samuray Del Sol & Aerostar!

Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler were very specific, and very sneaky, about this open challenge. It was open to any two luchadors not named Rey Fenix and Penta El Zero Miedo. But will they #FeelTheRegret giving this chance to a duo they don’t know? Or will they actually prove they’re the best luchadors in the world today?

The introductions are made, the belts are raised, and we see if Dax & Cash can put their money where their mouths are!

The teams sort out and Cash sneaks up on Samuray. They circle, tie up, Cash powers Samuray to a corner. The ref calls for the break, Samuray avoids the cheap shot and headlocks. Cash powers out but Samuray headstands to handspring and headscissor! Dax gets in but a get a dropkick, too! Tag to Aero but FTR bails out. FTR regroups with Tully for a “timeout,” and take their time returning. Cash gets back in, tags to Dax, and now Dax circles with Aerostar. Aero shows off with his endless handsprings! Fans fire up, Dax flips him off! Dax and Aero tie up, Dax puts Aero in a corner and fires off hands! The ref counts, Dax stomps and CHOPS Aero, then throws uppercuts!

Dax tags in Cash, FTR double whip Aero but he goes up and up and TORNILLO Body attacks! Samuray gets in and gets a boost to double dropkick FTR out of the ring! Samuray springboards to SENTON! Aero runs and ESCALARA! Direct hit on Dax, Samuray starts up the “LUCHA! LUCHA!” chants. Aero puts FTR in then climbs up top to leap, but the double rana is blocked for a HOTSHOT! Cash covers, TWO! Cash is annoyed as AEW goes picture in picture.

Cash mocks the lucha chants, drags Aero to the FTR corner, and Dax gets his cheap shots in while the ref is busy with Cash and Samuray. Even Tully gets in on it as he chokes Aerostar on ropes! Cash hushes the fans then goes back to Aerostar. Cash drags Aero up, chokes him on ropes, but lets off as the ref counts. Cash tags Dax, FTR double suplex Aero to hang him out to dry! Aero flops to the floor, Dax goes out to fetch him and CHOP him against the railing! And then whips him into more railing! Dax gets in the face of some Aerostar fans then puts Aerostar in the ring. Aerostar gets away but just misses the tag! Dax tags in Cash, FTR mugs Aero in their corner!

Cash brings Aerostar up, scoops and RAMS him into the buckles! Aero ends up in a Tree of Woe, Dax tags in, and FTR go corner to corner to double basement dropkick! Cash tags back in, Dax DECKS Samuray, and FTR mocks the lucha chants before Cash whips Dax in! Aero sits up as AEW returns to single picture, and Dax gets posted up the middle! Cash runs over and CLUBS Aero, but Aero fights back with elbows! Cash falls, Aero adjusts, and Aero DIVES onto Dax!! They wipe out into railing, Aero hobbles back to the ring as fans lose their minds, and Cash stands to get a TRUST FALL! Hot tag to Samuray! Samuray CROSSBODIES! Cover, TWO!

Samuray fires off on Cash, mule kicks and front kicks! Dax gets in and gets kicks, too, but FTR double whip! They double back drop but Samuray lands on his feet! And does the splits! Aero jumps in to try the double rana again, but he’s caught! So Samuray double missile dropkicks them down! Samuray covers, TWO! Cash survives, Aerostar tags back in. They double whip Cash, then Aero runs in but is put on the apron. Samuray runs in, dodges Cash’s clothesline and comes back, Cash pops him up but he RANAS Dax! Aero RANAS Cash! Double rana covers, TWO!! Tully coaches FTR up but Darby Allin is watching from the shadows!

FTR regroup, Aero ducks and dodges but is put on the ropes. Aero body scissors Dax out, Samuray fires off on Cash! Cash blocks a clothesline to Gory Especial but Samuray slips out! Cash fights off the Shiranui but Samuray slips out of the suplex! Waistlock, switch, SOLINA DEL SOL!! Aerostar springboards and SPLASHES! Cover, Dax breaks it up! Dax drags and throws Aerostar down, but Samuray DIVES, only to be sent into barriers! Dax gets Samuray up, BRAINBUSTER to the floor! Aero BOOTS Dax down, ROCKS Cash, slips under and jumps up to victory roll! TWO!! Cash has it, and the ropes!! FTR win!!

Winners: FTR, by pinfall (still AAA Tag Team Champions)

Another sneaky win for The Pinnacle, but a close one at that! Will their luck run out when the Lucha Brothers come #ForTheirRevenge with the AEW World Tag Team titles on the line?

Backstage interview with Hikaru Shida.

Tony Schiavone presents Shida with a properly repaired 50th win trophy. But Nyla Rose and Vickie Guerrero walk in to sarcastically applaud. Congratulations! What a ride, what a journey, to get to 50. There were some speed bumps, but now she’s hitting a full on roadblock! Because very soon, it is Shida VS Nyla in the TBS Championship Tournament. Enjoy 50 wins. How long did it take her to get there? Nyla says she and Vickie are going to celebrate, because it’ll be an easy win for them. How’s that leg, by the way? The Full Metal Warrior knows she’s going into a battle with the Native Beast at less than 100%, but can she find the heart to overcome those odds?

The Inner Circle heads to the ring!

Independence serenades Chris Jericho, Sammy Guevara, Jake Hager, Santana & Ortiz with their rendition of Judas as they make their way down the ramp. Jericho gets the mic to shout out Kansas City! Last week, Sammy Guevara, the TNT Champion, the Spanish God, won against Ethan Page, which means at Full Gear, 10 Man Street Fight, Inner Circle VS Men of the Year & American Top Team, but Inner Circle gets to choose who faces them at Full Gear! But speaking of, here come The Men of the Year and American Top Team. Dan Lambert would really like to leave this “shi*tstain city” ASAP so let’s get this over with!

Jericho sees Lambert, Scorpio Sky, Ethan Page, and the rest on stage and says, “What an ugly collection of dumb idiots right here.” American Top Team, led by their mascot, “Dan ‘Don’t Call Me Dipsh*t’ Lambert.” Lambert won’t stand for the chants, and defends his face is not that fat! But Jericho, you need to put some respect on his name. He founded this team 25 years ago and made it the greatest gym in the history of the business! That makes him American Top Team member #1! But he has a collection of killers for Jericho to choose from, and an open contract signed by them. So let’s just get started. Fans want Lambert to STFU as the contract is brought down to the ring.

Lambert hopes they pull up a table for four and a high chair for lil’ Sammy, and allow Lambert to go over their menu selection. The main course will be the Men of the Year. The three selections from the MMA portion of the menu starts with former UFC Heavyweight Champions, Andrei Arlovski and Junior Dos Santos! Andrei has the most victories in the HISTORY of the UFC Heavyweight Division! And he knows they’re proud of Big Jake Hager’s Bellator record, but let’s not get a big head over it. Oh, too late. So bigger head. But there’s not one but two undefeated Bellator stars in “Hercules” Dalton Rosta and Austin Vanderford!

These Johnny Come Lately fans may not remember, but the Road Warriors used to say they snacked on danger, and dined on death. Hopefully the Inner Circle has a similar appetite. Time to pick your poison! Well… The contract is here, so they can choose any members. Hager starts it off by calling out Junior Dos Santos! Hager doesn’t want to say Dos Santos looks stupid, but he does look like Popeye. At Full Gear, the Inner Circle will drop him faster than his last fight, aka 71 seconds. That is pretty fast. Santana steps up and calls out Arlovski! He calls himself the pitbull? Hopefully not cuz of that pointy teeth BS he be wearing.

But check it, he’s always had rules and regulations to protect him. But what happens when there are no rules, there are no regulations! You want someone to bite? Bite this! Lambert says these guys belong in this town, because they’re just as dirty and rude. But before they make their third selection, speaking of disrespectful pieces of slime, Jericho had some nasty things to say about Paige VanZant back in Miami! Austin wants in this match for that reason! Austin gets the mic but Paige takes it to say she doesn’t need a man to fight her fights. They should put HER name down, because her schedule’s wide open! And Chris, there isn’t a filter out there that will hide the beating she’ll give him.

Y’know what? Given the look of those tight pants, no one in the Inner Circle has the BALLS to take her on! She could take them all five, by herself! Wait, she wants to take on all five of them by herself? Well that joke writes itself, doesn’t it? Maybe they can put it on her OnlyFans page. Ortiz wants to ask a serious question, and asks it in Spanish. Paige asks what Ortiz just said. Sammy translates it to, “You’re a bitch.” But alright, alright. The Inner Circle knows they have to choose one more. They could choose Paige, she’s tough as nails. They could choose her hubby, Austin Vanderford. They could choose that other guy.

But they are thinking about it, and choosing the guy who said he’s the number one member of American Top Team. Lambert freaks out and says he didn’t mean that literally! They choose DAN LAMBERT!! Fans are loving that! Lambert says check the tape! But he said any member of the American Top Team, and then said he was member number one! If Independence heard that right, say, “Fat Faced Dips*it!” Lambert tells them to shut up but it’s too late! See you at Full Gear so they can kick your asses!!

Backstage interview with Lio Rush, Dante Martin, Matt Sydal & Lee Moriarty.

Tony Schiavone says third time was the charm, what a match we saw on Friday’s Rampage between Sydal and Dante. Matt wants to say something: Congratulations, Dante Martin. Everything Sydal saw in him came to fruition in that match, and he still believes in him. And if Dante still wants to train with Lio and not Sydal, that’s fine. He has plenty of people he can train, such as Lee Moriarty! There is a lot of talent here, and they will go to the top. So let’s see if they mix it up with them! Oh, is that a challenge? Listen, Lio knows who Moriarty is. Very talented wrestler.

But make no mistake, he is not more talented than Dante Martin. Especially not with Lio in his corner. So challenge accepted! They will be ready, and Sydal better be ready to be on the highest flight. Then it sounds like a great tag team match in the works!

AEW TBS Championship Tournament Opening Round: Anna Jay VS Jamie Hayter w/ Britt Baker & Rebel!

The Queenslayer has a score to settle with The Doctor and her crew, but she’ll have to settle for getting at one of the sidekicks first. Will Number 99 keep it 100 and take on the number one seed, Thunder Rosa? Or will Hayter make Jay hate her even more?

The bell rings, Jay and Hayter circle, tie up, and Hayter powers Jay to ropes. The ref counts, Hayter lets off and Jay ducks the sucker punch to kick low! Jay headlocks, Hayter powers out, but Jay runs her over! Hayter gets up, Jay headlocks to a takeover! Hayter headscissors but Jay kips free to get another headlock. Hayter throws body shots, gets the headlock for herself but Jay throws body shots. Jay powers out, elbows Hayter down then covers, ONE! Hayter gets to ropes, Jay is after her but Hayter throws Jay out! Hayter brings Jay around to whip, but Jay reverses to send Hayter into railing! Hayter crashes hard but Jay dares her to get up, so she can kick her down!

Jay puts Hayter in the ring, Jay gets in the ropes but Hayter BOOTS her down! Hayter stomps away on Jay as AEW goes picture in picture.

Hayter brings Jay up, bumps her off buckles, then dusts off her hands before she whips Jay corner to corner. Jay bounces off buckles, Hayter digs her boots into her at the ropes! The ref counts, Hayter lets off at 4 then drags Jay up. Hayter suplexes hard, covers, TWO! Hayter is annoyed and Britt argues the count on her behalf. Hayter brings Jay up, Jay throws body shots but Hayter clubs and stomps her own. Jay comes back with fast hands, then pulls hair! Hayter pulls hair to throw Jay down! Hayter tosses her hair and talks some trash before she drags Jay up and CLUBS her on the back. Hayter stalks Jay, kicks her around, stomps her, then throws her down again.

Hayter steps on Jay for a cocky cover, TWO! Hayter grins and brings Jay up to throw forearms. Hayter has Jay in the corner, she throws more forearms then stomps a mudhole into Jay! The ref backs Hayter off, Britt is there to talk trash while Hayter wraps an arm around ropes and pulls! The ref pulls Hayter back, but Britt chokes Jay! Hayter drags Jay up to suplex high and hard! Cover, TWO! Hayter is annoyed again as AEW returns to single picture. Hayter has an arm, kicks at Jay but Jay throws body shots! Hayter CLUBS Jay, whips her to ropes, but Jay throws Hayter down! And again! Jay bumps Hayter off buckles, then off more buckles!

Jay whips corner to corner, runs in and HEEL KICKS! Jay brings Hayter around, roars, DDT! Cover, TWO!! Hayter survives and Britt is relieved. Jay wraps on a sleeper! Not quite the Queenslayer but Hayter throws her off! Jay gets up and ducks a clothesline, QUEENSLAYER! Rebel gets in, the ref is distracted and Britt grabs at Jay! Jay lets Hayter go to glare at Britt, but Hayter CLOBBERS Jay from behind! Hayter runs to LARIAT! Cover, Hayter wins!

Winner: Jamie Hayter, by pinfall (advances to the next round)

Anna Jay couldn’t win against the unofficial 3v1, and now she gets mugged for it! But here comes TAY CONTI! Britt runs off so Tay fires off on Rebel and Hayter! Britt comes back but gets DECKED! Conti DECKS Hayter then BOOTS Britt down!! And then gives some ground ‘n’ pound! But now she gets mugged by the henchwomen! Rebel gives Britt her belt to put under Conti’s face, but here comes THUNDER ROSA! Rosa has her own beef with Team Britt and she SHOTGUNS Hayter down! Britt retreats, will she be able to survive Tay Conti at Full Gear? Will Rosa tear into Hayter as the next best thing to tearing into Britt?

Mark Sterling and Jade Cargill speak.

Smart Mark says, “Everyone knows that Jade Cargill has a bye in the TBS title tournament, and obviously that’s because of her unbelievable, amazing, undefeated record.” But this Friday, they will watch closely as we see Red Velvet VS The Bunny. But Jade sighs and says it doesn’t even matter who wins, and Sterling agrees, it doesn’t matter who wins. Because whoever wins will meet their ultimate demise, Jade Cargill. And Jade plans on making this short and sweet to rename that title #ThatBitchShow. But who gets to be part of the “pilot” of that show in the quarterfinal round?

MJF is here!

Maxwell Jacob Friedman swaggers out on stage alone and has the music cut as he heads down to the ring. “Let’s cut through the bull, huh, Darby? When all these fresh new faces came into this company, all the boys in the back were sweating bullets. But not us, man. Nah. Cuz we’re pillars. We know for a fact without us, this company doesn’t work.” MJF gets in the ring as he continues. “And out of all the pillars, I mean, we’re already top guys. Have been for awhile. And don’t get me wrong, the other two guys are great, Darby, but they’re not us. Because we have ‘it.’ We’ve had it way before Dynamite ever existed. These fans know who we are, and they know damn well what we’re going to become, and that, my friend, is legendary.

“So why is it that they boo me, and cheer you?” MJF says it used to make him really, really mad, and he’d even lose sleep over it. And he’s not deaf, he hears them every single week. They chant Darby’s name at the top of their lungs. They even do it now. And then it hit him. Of course they hate MJF! He reminds them of their perfect, successful boss, brother, step, ex, hell! He is a symbol of everything everyone wishes they could be, but simply can’t. But Darby is one of them! A misfit, an outcast, “an incel who can barely string together four words.” Darby claims to live life with reckless abandonment, but not because he’s too cool for school. It’s because deep down, he’s not good enough to be a normal, functioning member of society.

The people love Darby because they’re just like him. “You’ll never fit in, and you’ll never win. And sure, Darberino, you might be cool and brooding Darby Allin outside of the ring, but once you step foot in it, that all goes away, doesn’t it?” Darby lets his emotions get the best of him. He goes from proficient pro-wrestler to glorified stuntman. At Full Gear, Darby will lose to MJF because mentally, he’s weak. Darby will lose because he will be too concerned with battering MJF than beating him. He will lose because MJF is better than him, and he knows it. “And one more thing!”

Let’s just say that by some grace of God, Darby changes his ways in 10 days and he doesn’t come running at MJF like a brainless hyena. That’s great, bud, but MJF is still a better wrestler. There is a reason no one has beaten him clean in the ring, and it’s because he’s that damn good! It’s easy to overlook that, Darbs, because when someone is even a fraction as good as MJF on the mic, they can’t hang in the ring. And unfortunately for Darby and the mindless fans, Darby will find out that MFJ breaks the mold. MJF is so much better in the squared circle, he could beat Darby with a headlock takeover.

Darby has a mic and says, “Max. I am an outcast. I’m everything you called me. And at Full Gear, I’m not gonna attack you with my skateboard. I will keep my composure, and we will have a wrestling match. Because I’m gonna let my anger out right now tonight.” Darby heads for the ring and MJF eggs the fans on. “You wanna see it? Too bad.” MJF heads out of the ring before Darby gets there, but Sting and some Darby followers block MJF’s way! MJF is scared back to the ring, but then Shawn Spears and Wardlow rush in to fight the followers! MJF watches that brawl, but he sees Darby is creeping up towards the ring! MJF eggs Darby on, and they brawl in the front row!

Fabs get a preview up close and personal, but MJF rakes Darby’s eyes! And whips him into a barrier! MJF throws off his jacket and shouts at the fans, then he drags Darby back up to bowl off chairs! MJF brings Darby back to the ring, whips, but Darby reverses and MJF hits railing! Darby dribbles MJF’s head off the railing! Fans fire up with Darby as he gets space to run back in and CLOBBERS MJF up and over the railing!! Darby gets MJF up and into the ring! Darby’s up top in a hurry but MJF bails out just as fast! Fans boo as MJF runs around the ring and back to the crowd! Darby stares MJF down from the top rope, and now MJF is the one that’s furious! Will this explode into a fight no matter what either man says?

Cody Rhodes w/ Arn Anderson VS Andrade El Idolo w/ Jose!

The American Nightmare thought he’d settled things with Malakai Black, but things took a twisted turn as the Face of Latinos joined Malakai’s side. Andrade has called out Cody’s entitled and perhaps deluded ego, but will this battle of multi-generational stars end the way Andrade wants?

The bell rings and the two circle as they stare down. Fans rally and duel and Andrade SLAPS Cody! Cody ducks the clothesline to SLAP, kick and Rhodes Uppercut! Cody puts Andrade in a corner to fire off! Cody climbs, rains down fists and gets all the way to 9 before topping it off with the tenth! Cody then wrenches, whips corner to corner, but Andrade reverses. Cody tumbles up and out but Andrade goes out to join him! They brawl, Cody gets the edge but Andrade BOOTS! Cody drops down to TRIP Andrade! Andrade rolls into the ring, Cody slides in and reels him in to put up top! Cody climbs up behind Andrade, Andrade elbows him away!

Andrade adjusts, leaps but Cody anti-air dropkicks him down! Cody kicks and throws more hands, then runs to go up and up, only for Andrade to shove him out! Cody hits the floor, the ref keeps Andrade in, and AEW goes picture in picture.

Arn checks on Cody, Andrade wants after Cody but Cody hobbles. Andrade slips out other side to run around the way and CHOP BLOCK Cody down! Jose applauds Andrade while Cody gets up, Andrade throws a CHOP but Cody throws a fan’s water bottle! Andrade kicks Cody down, drags Cody up and into the ring, then stalks up behind him to KICK the leg out! Andrade stomps Cody down then fires up and fans fire up with him. Andrade stomps, gets a leg and turns Cody over to a HALF CRAB! Andrade twists the leg at an angle, Cody endures, turns over and throws hands! Cody is free but Andrade comes back to KNEE him down! Andrade paces while Cody is on the ropes, and AEW goes to break.

AEW returns as Andrade gets himself back in the ring. Cody hobbles up, Andrade reels him in but Cody elbows him back! Andrade CLUBS Cody, runs, but Cody follows to rally with forearms and clotheslines! Cody scoops and RUNNING POWERSLAMS! Cody fires up, fans are divided and Andrade stands. Cody kicks low, reels Andrade in and underhooks, but Andrade slips out. Cody ROCKS him with a forearm, runs but into the boot feint ELBOW! Cover, TWO!! Cody survives and drags himself to the corner where Arn’s coaching him up. Andrade drags Cody up and stomps a mudhole into him! Andrade grins and fans are also divided as he goes corner to corner.

Cody denies the knees by hitting a LARIAT! Cody calls for it, waits for Andrade to stand and goes for the dragon sleeper. Andrade spins it to snap suplex! Uno amigo! Another snap suplex, Dos Amigos! One more, but Cody fights it as fans chant for Eddie! Cody powers Andrade back but Andrade snap suplexes him into buckles! Three Amigos with something a little extra! Andrade fires up again, fans chant “SI! SI! SI!” and Andrade comes in with CIEN KNEES! Cover, TWO!! Cody survives again but Andrade grits his teeth. Andrade puts Cody in a drop zone, goes up top, and SPLIT LEG- NO! Cody avoids the moonsault, comes back to waistlock, but Andrade elbows out hard!

Andrade throws hands, Cody throws them back! Cody JABS and JABS and JABS and JABS! Flip, flop, fly, BIONIC ELBOW! Cody runs, but Andrade BOOTS him straight up! Andrade runs, Cody trips him and has the leg! But no Figure Four as Andrade slips out and trips Cody! “WOO~!” Andrade gets the leg, FIGURE FOUR! Wonder who he learned that from! Cody endures, keeps his shoulders up, turns and gets things reversed onto Andrade! Andrade endures, reaches, and gets a ROPEBREAK! The leglock is undone, Andrade flops out of the ring. Cody builds speed but Jose stands in his way! So Arn trips up Andrade’s personal assistant to DECK him!

Cody runs and builds speed, to DIVE into a double belt shot from FTR!! Andrade helped them get the AAA tag titles, this is them paying him back! FTR sneak under the ring, Andrade throws Cody in! Andrade drags Cody up, hammerlock for the DDT!! Cover, Andrade wins!

Winner: Andrade El Idolo, by pinfall

FTR reappear to celebrate with Andrade, as does Tully. They then stand Cody back up so Andrade can BOOT him down! FTR mugs Cody, but Arn gets in! Arn shoves Tully and the Horsemen stare down! Fans want to see this one! Tully takes off his jacket, but here come the Lucha Brothers! They brawl with FTR while Tully and Andrade retreat! Arn falls back to help Cody, Fenix whips Cash, Penta whips Dax but things get turned around. Fenix SUPERKICKS Fenix off the apron, the brothers DOUBLE SUPERKICK Dax! Fenix uses the tiger feint to back Cash off, and then Penta gets Dax up! Cash saves Dax from the LB Driver, but they’re 10 days away from Full Gear! Will FTR #FearTheRevenge of Fenix & Penta?

AEW returns as Tony Schiavone is in the ring.

And he’s joined by “Johnny Hungy,” John Silver of the Dark Order! Friday in St. Louis for AEW Rampage, Silver will take on Adam Cole 1v1! Schiavone wants to stay neutral, but he really hopes Silver kicks Cole’s you-know-what. Silver thanks Schiavone for that, but it won’t really be John Silver VS Adam Cole this Friday. No? No, it’ll be John Silver VS #BUDGE. And since #BUDGE has been here, Silver’s been trying to give him some advice. Maybe he should change his hear, get rid of the hair, change his name to Budge, become the Dark Order’s manager, but he hasn’t taken any of that advice. If he did, he wouldn’t have gotten that Con-Chair-To from Christian…

But Cole not taking Silver’s advice makes Silver mad! Silver will be ready! It’ll be the Meat Man, Johnny Hungy, and this Friday, Silver kicks some BUDGE ASS! Silver is hungry for a fight, will Adam Cole be able to give it to him after what we saw earlier tonight?

AEW looks closer at Velvet VS Bunny.

Bunny knows Red Velvet likes to play by the rules as a “nice person.” But being nice doesn’t win you championships. Unlike Velvet, Bunny does whatever it takes. She’ll be the villain of the story if it means winning the TBS Championship. Velvet says The Bunny couldn’t have chosen a better opponent. She better bring everything she has. Velvet beat her once, and under these circumstances, she won’t hesitate to beat that ass again. But with Jade Cargill waiting on the other side, is the winner really just the next big loser?

Bryan Danielson is here!

The American Dragon is already a finalist, having defeated Eddie Kingston in an all-time classic on Rampage. But he wants to be here to personally watch what goes down in the other semifinal match. Bryan joins commentary and thanks JR and Excalibur for having him. He says Kingston didn’t want to give up, so he had to elbow him into oblivion. Kingston was furious and that brought about the incident with CM Punk, but that will be settled with a face-to-face this Friday. For now, we see who heads to Full Gear with Bryan!

AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament Semifinals: Orange Cassidy VS Miro!

This was meant to be Freshly Squeeze’s chance at avenging Wheeler Yuta, but that’s all water under the bridge now. His ribs are still taped up, will he be able to tough it out through another brutal match? Or will God’s Forsaken take matters into his own hands and crush all in his path?

The bell rings and we see Big Money Matt Hardy watching from the crowd again. Hardy’s grudge with Cassidy is far from done, but he’ll simply watch someone else go after Cassidy. Cassidy goes to put his hands in his pockets but Miro rushes in! Cassidy scrambles to another corner, raises his hands again, but then baits Miro into buckles! And he unleashes the “devastating” shin kicks! Miro is not amused, but Cassidy dodges him again and goes to the apron and then around the way to the ramp. Fans cheer as Cassidy puts his hands in his pockets! Miro scowls, rushes out but Cassidy rushes back in and returns, to DIVE! But into Miro’s hands, and an OVERHEAD Belly2Belly!

Miro talks trash as Cassidy writhes, and Miro drags Cassidy up to DECK him! AEW goes picture in picture as Miro POSTS Cassidy! Cassidy crawls, Miro pulls at the rib tape and uses that to drag Cassidy around. Miro throws Cassidy around, pulls the tape away, and gets Cassidy into the ring. Cover, TWO! Cassidy gets to ropes and drags himself up but Miro brings him around  to a facelock. Miro has the fans fire up before he suplexes Cassidy high and hard! And then does it again! And then gut wrench TOSSES Cassidy! Miro wants to hear more from the fans, and even climbs the corner to look up at the sky. He seems to ask if God is watching this closely.

Miro stalks Cassidy, drags him up and brings him around to a bearhug! Cassidy endures, throws elbows, but Miro just squeezes tighter! Miro then scoops and SLAMS Cassidy down! Miro lets fans get louder as he rips the rest of the rib tape away. Miro looms over Cassidy, mocks him with the tape, then scoops again. Cassidy slips out to a STUNNER! Miro staggers, Cassidy hobbles up and is in the corner. Miro RAMS into Cassidy then stomps him down! The ref counts, Miro lets off at 4, and AEW returns to single picture. Miro snarls while the ref checks on Cassidy. Cassidy is okay so Miro whips him hard into the corner!

Miro encourages fans to get loud again as he stands Cassidy up. Miro whips Cassidy into the corner, but Cassidy hits back with a forearm! Cassidy fires up and fires off forearms!! Miro shoves Cassidy back, Cassidy dodges in the corner and then shoves Miro into buckles! Cassidy runs to SHOTGUN dropkick! He kips up through the pain and runs, into a tilt-o-whirl DDT! Cover, TWO!! Miro survives but Cassidy throws off his elbow pad! Fans fire up as Cassidy aims from the corner. Miro bails out to avoid the Orange Punch! Miro rests against the timekeeper’s area but Cassidy goes up top! FLYING ELBOW through the table!! Fans lose their minds as both men are down and Hardy talks trash!

Cassidy drags himself back towards the ring and the ring count is 6 of 10! Cassidy’s in, Miro stirs at 7. We’re at 8, then 9! Miro hobble sup and in at 9.99!! Miro survives, Orange takes aim, Miro hobbles up and ORANGE- NO! Miro catches Cassidy to pop him up! Cassidy slips out, gets Miro up, BEACH BREAK!! Cover, TWO!?!? Cassidy shrugs it off, aims from a corner, Miro flounders up! ORANGE- CHOP BLOCK! BEST KICK!!! Miro storms around and shouts, “GAME! OVER!” Stomp and GAME OVER CLUTCH!!! Cassidy taps, Miro wins!

Winner: Miro, by submission (advances to the finals)

And now we know the Full Gear match-up! Bryan goes right to the ring and stares Miro down. Fans are fired up to see these two in the ring together, and Bryan offers a handshake. Miro steps away without taking it. Miro may not respect Bryan now, but will the American Dragon make him show respect after their title contender’s match?

My Thoughts:

Another great episode for Dynamite here. And as they say, the show must go on. It is honestly a great thing for Moxley to go into rehab. The first step to solving a problem is admitting you have one, and a lot of that promo he had last week felt very real. Again, we here at the Chairshot wish Moxley all the best, Moxley can and will definitely get through this. And while I was waiting for Miro to take opportunities for himself on Elevation or Dark, him getting the spot against Cassidy in the tournament and in the main event is great for him. Miro and Cassidy had a great match, but just as Mox was the surefire winner, Miro won here and now we get a great match-up for Full Gear.

Omega VS Angels as an apparent last minute addition was actually great stuff. Great match from Angels again but Omega wins to get momentum, but then the math kinda cancels out as Hangman gets after him and stands tall. There’s still the go-home next week, who knows how that goes. I also like that there’s a lot going on for the Super Kliq, with Christian and Jurassic Express returning but also still beef with Dark Order. Trios Championship tease here since that’s some big trios contenders right there. Also I loved the teasing Silver did to Cole in regards to the RawDown rumors. Cole VS Silver is going to be really good stuff for Rampage this week.

Punk had a great promo because in one go, he gives his shoot support of Moxley and his kayfabe condemnation of Kingston. Punk and Kingston will have a face to face that will definitely turn into a match, and perhaps it gets a spot on Full Gear, not that it has to. Good promos from the TBS tournament entries, but I still see Ruby and Velvet winning. Jade and Sterling had a good promo, and I’m pretty sure Jade wins against Velvet there, too. Hayter winning was a big surprise to me, but I suppose it makes more sense for Team Britt to be on their heels. Rosa will definitely beat Hayter, Britt will surely retain against Conti, I’m sure we’ll still get Britt VS Rosa after all this.

Great to see Samuray Del Sol (aka Kalisto) and Aerostar in AEW and they had a good match with FTR. Could’ve been a bit better but I think Aero went a little too hot into one of those dives and that slowed things down after that. FTR retains, of course, to attempt becoming the next dual champions between AAA and AEW. Still hoping they were going to make this Winner Takes All, but oh well. We got a fun segment from Inner Circle and American Top Team, and I just knew that Lambert would be chosen. Lambert even saying the words that Jericho used against him was a foreshadowing of it. But that was half the reason this was a Street Fight Tag, so that the non-wrestlers could be involved and not worry about the subtle rules. And Lambert is in it to take the loss, count on that.

We also got a good promo from Sydal and Lio, though I didn’t expect Sydal to get weirdly passive aggressive about his protégé leaving him for someone else. But this is great for Moriarty, he really is a great in-ring talent, he and Dante are going to tear it up all on their own. MJF and Darby had a great promo segment, and I like that Sting brought Darby Allin followers like they had for the warehouse fight with Team Taz. Darby clotheslining MJF over the railing was the most physical one of those I’ve ever seen, and their match will probably be very physical for being what Darby promises to be a normal, technical match. Those guys might even steal the show just to prove they are two of the four young AEW pillars.

And I’m surprised Cody didn’t make himself the main event, but I suppose the tournament story should take center stage. Cody VS Andrade was great stuff, and I suppose one way around Malakai’s ringside ban is to have FTR help out. I almost feel like there could be a way to make Andrade a member of The Pinnacle. Or he could even take it over? Who knows, there could be an upheaval the way MJF’s been treating Wardlow. But it was all good stuff to pump up FTR VS Lucha Bros, and puts a bit more heat into Cody’s feud with Andrade and Malakai. Pac should’ve been part of this, too, to keep things going on his end, but maybe that happens in the go-home.

My Score: 9/10

PLAY BY PLAY

MJF arrives backstage.

Renee Paquette is there to bring up tonight’s main event is Darby Allin VS Konosuke Takeshita for the AEW World Championship. If Darby Allin wins, MJF will then have to sign a contract for Title VS Hair at Double or Nothing. Darby has made it clear that if MJF doesn’t sign said contract, Darby will never allow MJF to face him for the title again. We all know how important the title is for MJF, but is MJF willing to put his hair on the line for it? MJF just chuckles and moves on, but he notices the very bald Rick Knox, Bryce Remsburg, and the head of security, David Aponte. And then various bald members of the production staff…

And then even Christopher Daniels & Sonjay Dutt are there! Daniels and Sonjay chuckle before moving on, and then MJF sees John Silver flexing. Brandon Cutler, some arena staff, and even Tommaso Ciampa, all bald. Then last but certainly not least, Ricochet! He tells MJF that don’t worry, he’ll look great. Just not as good as Ricochet. AHA~! MJF storms off, will he have no choice but to choose between gold belt and chrome dome?

10 Man Tag: Orange Cassidy, Adam Copeland, Christian Cage & The Young Bucks VS Tommaso Ciampa, David Finlay, Clark Connors & FTR w/ Stokely Hathaway!

While we know the AEW World Tag Team Championship match will be a conglomeration of I Quit Match and New York Street Fight, THE Conglomeration will be waiting on the other side for their own tag title match. And let’s not forget that Matt & Nick Jackson want their own shot at those titles again. With that, can Freshly Squeezed work together with C&C and The Bucks? Or will the Psycho Killer, the Dogs, and the Top Guys all stand tall on the road to Double or Nothing?

The teams sort out and the teams just brawl it out! The fans cheer as The Bucks have The Dogs, Cope is after Ciampa, Christian is after Cash, and Dax brawls with Cassidy! Dax bumps Cassidy off buckles but Cassidy ducks the haymaker to waistlock. The Bucks, Cope & Christian clear everyone else out, then take the brawl outside! Dax ROCKS Cassidy to send him out, and  the fans fire up as Matt fires hands on 100 Proof right by commentary! Ciampa whips Cope but Cope reverses, sending Ciampa into barriers! Cash sends Christian into railing, then CLOBBERS Cassidy! Nick fires hands on Finlay, Cassidy sends Cash into railing!

Cassidy and Dax meet in the ring, Dax ROCKS and CHOPS Cassidy, but Nick sends Finlay into railing! Dax DECKS Cassidy, throws hands on Cope, but Cope fires back! The fans fire up but the ref reprimands! Cope DECKS Dax, and wait, Christian and Cash are brawling in the crowd! Same for Matt and Connors! Finlay CLAWS Nick’s face, Cassidy ROCKS Dax, and Cassidy whips. Dax reverses, Cassidy goes up and out to then SMACK Dax off buckles! Cassidy goes up, Ciampa BOOTS Nick, and Dax trips Cassidy. Dax CHOPS Cassidy, climbs up after him, and goes to the very top! The fans boo but Dax stands Cassidy up, SUPER DUPER PLEX!

Dax then rolls through to suplex again, but Cassidy STUN-DOG MILLIONAIRES! Cassidy runs, tilt-o-whirls, and DDTS! Cassidy kips up, the fans fire up, but Finlay sends Nick into steel steps! #BigStoke grabs Cassidy’s foot, Cash CLOBBERS Cassidy! The fans boo but Dax puts Cassidy in the corner to tag Ciampa. FTR and the Psycho Killer mug Cassidy! The fans boo and the ref reprimands, but Ciampa stands Cassidy up. Cassidy blocks the chop! And he blocks another chop! The fans cheer but Ciampa kicks low and CHOPS again! The fans boo but Ciampa soaks up that heat. Ciampa drags Cassidy by a leg, turns him over, but Cassidy fights around!

Cassidy kicks and kicks but Ciampa drags him back! Cassidy turns to BOOT Ciampa away! Dax tags in and he CLOBBERS Cassidy! The fans boo but Dax flips them off. Dax whips Cassidy, runs up, but Cassidy dodges! Dax POSTS himself! Both men are down, hot tags to Cash and Nick! Nick rallies on FTR with haymakers, BLASTS Ciampa, but Cash kicks low! FTR whips, DOUBLE HIP- NO, Nick lands out, MEETING OF TEH MINDS! Then DOUBLE WHEEL KICK! The fans fire up as Nick then DROPKICKS Dax out! The Dogs run up, but Nick knuckle locks and CHOPS Finlay! Then Nick jumps over Connors, SUPERKICKS, and he goes for the corner!

Nick goes up, up, and “LUCHA LIBRE~!” FLYING ARM-DRAG RANA COMBO! The fans are thunderous and Nick tags Matt. Nick whips Finlay, Finlay reverses, but Nick goes up and over. Matt SUPERKICKS Finlay! Nick SHINING WIZARDS Connors, adds a GAMANGIRI, then The Bucks DOUBLE BULLDOG with the high-five! The fans fire up again as Matt winds up. Matt WRECKS FTR with a dropkick, then holds the way open, Nick FLIES onto FTR & Ciampa! But Connors back suplexes! Matt lands out, and NORTHERN LIGHTS! Roll through, NORTHERN LIGHTS! The Polar Express is getting going, and Finlay joins the ride! DOUBLE NORTHERN LIGHTS!

The fans are electric and it’s not just the volt green! Time for a SUPERKICK PARTAY~! Wait, Stokely grabs a foot each! The fans boo, the ref reprimands, but Stoke can’t even trip The Bucks up. The Bucks drag Stoke in! Stoke pleads for mercy, but FTR runs up! The Bucks dodge, mule kick, then SUPERKICK for Dax! SUPERKICK for Cash! DOUBLE SUPERKICKS on The Dogs! Then FTR is sent into The Dogs before DOUBLE SUPERKICKS! Ciampa runs up to waistlock but Nick switches. Ciampa BOOTS Matt away, ELBOWS Nick, but Matt dodges, PSYCHO KNEE into Cash! DOUBLE SUPERKICKS for Ciampa!

The fans fire up again, and The Bucks see C&C. They point to Christian, and the fans cheer! Christian steps in, the ref reprimands but Cope argues with the ref. This distraction lets Christian LOW BLOW Cash! DOUBLE SUPERKICKS for Cash! Christian covers, TWO! Cash survives, the fans boo, but Christian rains down fists while Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Christian puts Cash in the corner to CHPO, CHOP, and then rain down fists! Christian goes past TEN, maybe to fifteen, then stops. Cash sputters, Stoke talks trash, but Christian grabs Stoke! Cash CLUBS Christian, Ciampa HOTSHOTS the bad arm, and Ciampa hurries to tag in. Ciampa drags Christian around, SLAMS the bad arm off the mat, then SLAMS the arm again! Ciampa POSTS Christian, and Christian falls to the apron. The ref keeps his eyes on the rest of the team so they stay back. Ciampa goes out, and he SWINGS the bad arm into the post! Christian scrambles away, clutching the arm, but Ciampa taunts Cope with a wave.

Ciampa tags Connors, Connors tags Finlay, and The Dogs stomp away on Christian. Finlay clamps onto the bad hand, bends the fingers, then JAMS them into the mat! The ref reprimands but Finlay anchors Christian while he tags in Dax. Dax CHOPS Christian, DECKS him, then taunts Cope and The Bucks. The Bucks rally the fans, Cope coaches Christian up, but Dax brings Christian around. Christian blocks a shot to hit back, but then Dax kicks low! Dynamite returns to single picture as Dax UPPERCUTS Christian back to the corner. Stoke is on commentary suddenly to say Christian tried to steal Stoke’s watch, aka the watch Stoke stole from Christian.

But Christian fires back on Dax and the whole corner! Then he and Dax DOUBLE LARIAT! The fans fire up while both men are down! Christian crawls, but we can see Cash and The Dogs sneaking over! They and Ciampa YANK down Cope, Cassidy and The Bucks! The fans boo but Dax drags Christian back to center. Dax kicks and scuffs Christian, then talks trash. Finlay hits buckles but Ciampa runs up! Christian sends him into Cash, then dragon sleepers Ciampa. Christian sees Dax run up, kicks him low, and gets him in the same hold, DOUBLE REVERSE DDTS! The fans fire up as FTR, Ciampa and Finlay are all in drop zones! “This is Awesome!” as Cassidy, Christian and The Bucks climb the corners. Connors runs up on Cope, but Cope snatches him into a facelock!

Winners: Orange Cassidy, Adam Copeland, Christian Cage & The Young Bucks, by pinfall

Another star-studded 10 Man Tag, and it was a huge win for all the hungry contenders. Christian doesn’t wanna celebrate, but he does signal that he and Cope will be champions. Will putting their tag team legacy on the line be enough to take the gold? Or will Double or Nothing be the last night that team reeks of awesomeness?

Will Ospreay continues to train with The Death Riders.

They’re outside this time, Claudio Castagnoli playing some wall ball with Marina Shafir and Pac. Daniel Garcia says, “Tonight is the night that we’ve all been waiting for: The Aerial Assassin, Will Ospreay, is cleared and back on Dynamite. And rumor has it, the kid’s been working real hard and he’s got some new tricks up his sleeves. So Young Boy Billy, tonight you gotta show me something, c’mon.” Garcia gets a quick turn in on wall ball while cameras move over. Ospreay is maintaining a neck bridge while Jon Moxley uses Wheeler Yuta as a living dummy to show just how to push and pull and bend and twist on the various chinlocks and headlocks.

Use the right arm to push against the head, then snake in the left arm for the sleeper. Pry and shoot. Moxley asks how Ospreay feels. Ospreay lets off the bridge and says honestly, the best he’s felt in forever. Moxley asks if Ospreay remembers the night he won the Best of the Super Juniors. Yeah, 2019. AKA a lifetime ago. Ospreay was carefree, flew like a bird, for no other reason than that’s just what birds do. So simple back then, chasing that feeling, like no other feeling in the world. Can’t really grab it in your hands for more than a few seconds. The joy of doing it. Then everybody comes in and tries to make it so overcomplicated.

Years pass, life happens, a family starts, responsibilities show up, bad things happen, bad choices catch up to you, and it’s all weight on your shoulders. You feel like you can’t fly. But Moxley will tell you something: Nothing is different. Nothing has changed. All those things are still gonna be there, but you can still fly. You’re just more dangerous now. You’re a bird of prey. So tonight, when you got out there, don’t go out there to protect anything. Not your neck, your image, your reputation, or what you’ve built in your career. Go out there to give something. Moxley checks on Yuta and says dammit, if you’re gonna snap a headlock, snap the headlock!

Moxley storms off to instruct his pupil, but will Ospreay use everything he has been taught to great effect? Or will he have to fold against Ace Austin?

Chris Jericho speaks.

“You wanna face Jericho in a match of my own design, Ricochet? A spectacle so innovative, so imaginative, it cannot be contained, it can only be witnessed. Well, be careful what you demand, because you’ve made a few enemies yourself, Ricochet. And now a match designed specifically to settle scores without any, and I mean AAANY~, limitations has gotten even bigger.” Chris Jericho & The Hurt Syndicate were just looking for two more, but “Jungle” Jack Perry said he can bring four: himself, The Young Bucks, and KENNY OMEGA! Jericho tells Ricochet that this is no longer what he designed, but it is a devil’s dance of destruction! Ricochet’s destruction!

Ricochet got what he wanted, now can he handle it? Bald. The first-ever SEVEN VS SEVEN Stadium Stampede, who will even survive?

Ricochet & The Demand respond.

They stand with Mark Davis of the Don Callis Family and Ricochet says we all know Jericho does a lot of talking out of his ass while The Demand gets things done. Just like Davis did when he defeated Jack for the AEW National Championship at Fairway to Hell. Hold it with pride, Davis, Ricochet knows you’ll do it well. Davis says he’s got this. Ricochet says Davis has joined the dream team, but he’s not the only one. Because compliments to Ricochet’s golfing buddy, Don Callis, look who else he’s sending: Andrade El Idolo! Gracias, amigo. But it doesn’t stop there, the train keeps rolling. Ricochet was just approached by two guys who have an ax to grind with the superkick sidekicks.

These two wanna fill out the last two spots, so who is Ricochet to say no to The Dogs? Finlay & Connors storm in, and Finlay says to put it simple, they will fight The Bucks in the streets, in the ring, but guess it’s fighting at Double or Nothing! If they want violence, if they want carnage, if they want chaos, who better than The Dogs?! The Dogs bark and Liona roars, but will these seven stand tall in the Big Apple?

“Speedball” Mike Bailey w/ Kevin Knight VS BK Westbrook!

JetSpeed has a lot of momentum on their side, and as stated last week at Fairway to Hell, they’re looking to grab up all the gold they can. Will Speedball keep on rolling towards his own golden opportunity? Or will #Supastud prove his own worth?

The bell rings and the fans rally as the two step up. Bailey bows in respect, offers a handshake, but Westbrook goes to roll Bailey up! Bailey stays on his feet, then steps over to sit down on a cover, TWO! Westbrook ducks a Penalty Kick, avoids the moonsault, and the sweep! Bailey dodges, Westbrook tiger feints through the ropes, but Bailey handsprings up and over! The fans fire up as Bailey ducks an elbow to whip. Westbrook goes up, around, but kinda fumbles his tumble. The fans cheer and jeer him for his attempt, but Westbrook blocks the boot! Westbrook FLIPS Bailey, springboards in, but Bailey dodges! TIME ADVENTURE!

Bailey pushes Westbrook down, goes up the corner, and the fans fire up for the ULTIMATE WEAPON! Cover, Bailey wins!

Winner: Mike Bailey, by pinfall

Another fast ‘n’ furious finish, and Bailey’s on a hot streak! But now, the other side of JetSpeed looks to keep it up! But just who is Kevin Knight defending the TNT Championship against? It’s… BRIAN CAGE!? The Machine finally returns to action, and he has the Don Callis Family with him! Will Cage be able to ground Knight and take this title back to the family?

AEW TNT Championship Open Challenge: Kevin Knight w/ “Speedball” Mike Bailey VS Brian Cage w/ The Don Callis Family!

That might’ve been Ospreay’s first win by submission ever! He signals that his neck is no longer a problem, and he shows Ace respect for that fight. Ace accepts the handshake again, and Ospreay is moving on towards Double or Nothing with a great amount of momentum. But wait! SAMOA JOE is here! He and The Opps walk out on stage, and with mic in hand, Joe says, “Ospreay, Ospreay… OSPREAY, OSPREAY!” Joe is clearly mocking the chants for Ospreay, and the fans give genuine chanting and even singing in return. Joe says he just wanted to make sure Ospreay was listening, because these past few weeks, it seemed like Ospreay had a hard time hearing him.

Despite Ospreay’s best efforts, fate has put them on a collision course in the opening round of the Owen Hart Cup. The fans like the sound of that! Joe say she is here for one reason and one reason alone. He wants to speak about choices and consequences. Ospreay could’ve made the right choice and get a bye in this tournament, because that is what Joe would do for one of his friends. But Ospreay chose poorly. He could’ve been with the team that would do nothing but support and enhance Ospreay, but he decided to be a lapdog for Moxley and the Death Riders. The fans boo, Ospreay says he’s not a Death Rider.

Joe says Ospreay has made his choice, and come Double or Nothing, Joe makes Ospreay suffer the consequences. But Joe leaves Ospreay in peace tonight, for he has his date with destiny. But unfortunately, Joe’s friends, Katsuyori Shibata & Anthony Bowens, still feel slighted, and he doesn’t put leashes on his friends. Shibata & Bowens storm down the ramp, Ospreay ready to fight them both if he has to. But then The Death Riders appear! Ospreay may not have officially joined the club, but the Death Riders aren’t going to let their investment go to waste! The Opps say they’re #NeverLacking, but that doesn’t seem to be the case now!

Shibata & Bowens back down while Moxley, Marina, Claudio, Yuta, Garcia & Pac all step up to support Ospreay. Joe says, “Soon. Soon.” The fans cheer the Death Riders, or at least Moxley, but Bowens promises Joe is gonna kill you, Ospreay! The dream match for Double or Nothing is on, but will the training with The Death Riders make Ospreay the new King of Harts?

Backstage interview with Don Callis & Konosuke Takeshita.

Renee is now with The Invisible Hand & The Alpha, saying tonight is a huge opportunity in the main event, Konosuke facing Darby Allin for THE AEW World Championship. Konosuke could be heading into Double or Nothing as a- Callis stops Renee there to say Konosuke will be heading into Double or Nothing as a DOUBLE champion! But then MJF steps in, apologizes for the interruption but says Renee’s doing a great job. The Scumbag tells Konosuke that while it’s been a minute since the two of them have talked, three years actually, back when MJF beat him… MJF has seen Konosuke develop into truly one of the best wrestlers in the world!

MJF believes that tonight, Konosuke beats Darby for the title, goes to DON to beat Okada, and MJF can’t think of a better match than Konosuke VS MJF Part 2 for the world title. How’s that sound? MJF offers a handshake, Konosuke shakes his hand, but in Japanese, Konosuke tells MJF that he’ll beat the crap out of him. Thankfully, MJF doesn’t know Japanese. Callis says that was a nice pep talk MJF just gave, and MJF says yes, he knows. That kid needs to win, okay? MJF can’t let Darby turn him into some disgusting, bald freak! No offense, Callis looks great. But look, there is only one foolproof way to know MJF won’t be put in that situation.

So if things get hairy… MJF hands over the Dynamite Diamond Ring! Callis smiles, and say she understands what to do with it. But then in steps Andrade. El Idolo takes off his hat to shake out his amazing head of hair, and smiles at MJF. MJF frowns and leaves. Callis says here’s the deal: Takeshita will bring the world title home to the Don Callis Family tonight! Andrade asks, “How you know?” Callis says aye dios mio, he seriously doesn’t know where Andrade learned English. Andrade says one way or another, the next time, that will be HIS title. Callis says yes, he knows, it’s all good. Callis is a man of many talents, but will his family be dripping with gold thanks to a diamond ring?

AEW now announces the Women’s Owen Hart Memorial Tournament brackets!

Double or Nothing will see Willow Nightingale, the reigning Queen of Harts, take on Alex Windsor, while we will see Persephone VS Hazuki, Skye Blue vs Sareee, and Mina Shirakawa VS Athena! Champions from around the world are gathering for this tournament, but who will be headed to Forbidden Door, and then All In: London?

Backstage interview with The Conglomeration.

Renee Paquette is now with Orange Cassidy, Kyle O’Reilly, Roderick Strong, and Willow Nightingale. Renee commends Cassidy on his part in the 10 Man Tag victory. But it seems that there is even more business to attend to. Cassidy says yes, the team has a shot at THE AEW World Tag Team Championships. It doesn’t matter who it is, they’re getting their shot, but the thing is… They still haven’t decided on which two will be. Kyle says Cassidy & Roddy should go for the gold, but Roddy shouts, “KYYYLE~! Thank you.” Kyle says of course. But that’s cuz he’s got gold to chase for himself!

The same man that put Kyle on the shelf for months is the man that Kyle submitted twice, and will submit again. Jon Moxley, Continental Champion, when are we doing this? Willow says speaking of gold, she is still the TBS Champion. But she is also in the Owen Hart Cup. She won this tournament before, she’ll do it all over again, so that she can have all the gold for herself at All In: London. She knows she can, and she will! Then Conglomeration has it all in order? Cassidy says hold on, there’s something missing. They should do a Word of the Day. Why haven’t they done one in so long? Roddy shouts for “MAAARK~!” And yes, Mark Briscoe returns!

The Sussex County Chicken is all fired up, and he says the Word of the day is reunification! For Mark Briscoe is back with his boys and his girls, The Conglomeration! But he’ll put this plain and simple: Tommaso Ciampa! Next Wednesday, Briscoe’s after your ass, son! You hear him? But before that, Saturday Night Collision is in HIS hometown, Salisbury, Maryland! That’s just 4.4 miles from where Briscoe originated on this earth! They’re gonna conglomerate and it’s gonna be a a hell of a time! Are you ready!? Willow and Kyle are fired up, Briscoe goes wild, and the team heads out. Cassidy admits, that was a lot of yelling.

But while The Conglomeration is ready to go Double or Nothing, will they soon have even more gold in the collection? Or are these high and lofty a little too much even for them?

Darby fires forearms, then goes up a corner! COFFIN- NO, Konosuke catches him for a SUPER BLUE THUNDER BOMB to the floor!! The fans go nuts again and Callis says that’s the end of Darby Allin, but Dynamite goes picture in picture.

The ref hurries to check Darby but Callis tells Doc Sampson to call it. Darby is somehow still in this, so Konosuke storms his way over. Konosuke drags Darby up, puts him in the ring, then paces around him. Konosuke runs the ropes to LARIAT! Darby flips inside-out, Konosuke covers him, TWO!! Darby still has fight inside but he’s also dazed. Konosuke clamps onto Darby with a chinlock and squeezes tight. Darby endures, even as Konosuke leans on him with his much-taller frame. Darby reaches out, fights around, and rises up, only for Konosuke to CANADIAN RACK BOMB! Darby sputters all over again while Dynamite returns to single picture.

Konosuke sits back as he watches Darby crawl to the apron. Konosuke storms his way over, but Darby RAMS low! Slingshot sunset flip, but Konosuke rolls through! Only for Darby to kick the legs out! Darby catches Konosuke to a GUILLOTINE! Konosuke endures the squeeze, fights up to his feet, and he powers out to THROW Darby! Darby lands out, fires shots, and RAMS low! Darby then hops on, but Konosuke stops Code Red! Konosuke swings Darby around, tucks him in, BASTARD DRIVER! And WHEELBARROW GERMAN! The fans fire up and Callis says that’s true power! Darby sputters again and Konosuke vows to end this.

Konosuke runs corner to corner, HELLUVA KICK!! Then he hoists Darby up top, climbs up after him, and goes to the very top! The fans freak out already for the SUPER DUPER GERMAN SUPLEX!! Bridging cover, TWO!!! Callis is freaking out as much as the fans, and he protests the count! Konosuke is furious, but he aims for the WAGAMAMA KNEE!!! Cover, TWO?!?! Darby survives by nanoseconds, and Konosuke is beside himself! “This is Awesome!” but now CLØN rushes out here! He distracts the ref, and Callis hurries to take the Dynamite Diamond Ring off his finger to put it in Konosuke’s hands! Konosuke thinks about it, but The Alpha has honor!

The fans cheer as Konosuke wants to do this his way! But then Darby runs up, cradles, TWO!! Konosuke escapes, ALPHA ELBOW!! Darby is down, dazed, but still moving! Konosuke drags Darby up again, goes back to the corner and back to the top rope. The fans hope these two “FIGHT FOREVER!” but it has to end somehow! Darby fights against the lift with headlock punches! Then he hops on, SUPER CODE RED!! Konosuke staggers up, Darby leg scissors, steps through, LAST SUPPER!! TWO?!?! Konosuke escapes again, then bails out! So Darby just goes up top! SUPER COFFIN DROP!! Direct hit and both men are down again!

The fans are thunderous as Konosuke and Darby stir. A ring count climbs, Callis complains that some people just gotta follow directions and run the play! Coach Callis pulled Konosuke outta obscurity, Konosuke would do anything! Now he’s got some gold, some fame, and gets a mind of his own! Callis complaining aside, the ring count is climbing! Darby drags himself in at 9, but Konosuke YANKS him back out! That refreshes the count, and Konosuke vows to end this for real now. Konosuke points to the steel steps, and he drags Darby up onto them with a deadlift RAGING- NO, Darby knees Konosuke, turns things around, and FULL METAL SCORPION DEATH DROP!!!

The fans go nuts again while Konosuke writhes! Konosuke flops off the steps, Darby crawls into the ring, and Darby just climbs the corner again! SUPER DUPER COFFIN DROP!!! Konosuke might be unconscious! Darby still hauls Konosuke into the ring, pushes him to a cover, TWO?!?!? Konosuke survives and Darby is furious! But Darby just reloads, COFFIN DROP but onto knees!!! Ghost pin, TWO!!! Darby escapes but the WAGAMAMA KNEE finds him!! Konosuke hauls Darby up, but Darby pops free! Trip, step through, and SCORPION DEATH LOCK!!! Konosuke endures, reaches out, but Darby sits deep!!

Callis says don’t even think about it! Konosuke almost does, but he bites his own thumb to ignore the pain in his back! Konosuke reaches out, crawls his way forward, and he fights to the ROPEBREAK!!! But Darby is right up top! COFFION DROP on the back!! Then Darby goes right back up, COFFIN DROP again!!! Cover, DARBY WINS!!

Winner: Darby Allin, by pinfall (still AEW World Champion)

Callis is steaming, but Darby overcomes Konosuke to avenge that loss in the Continental Classic! But it also took so much out of him just to do it! Darby still asks for a mic and one is brought to him. Darby sits up against the ropes, has them cut his music, and he tells MJF to get his ass out here! There’s a contract MJF needs to sign! The ring crew hurries to bring in a table and some chairs for that very contract signing, and MJF makes his entrance. MJF reluctantly makes his way down the ramp, and both men meet at the table. Darby grins with blood still in hiss teeth, and he signs his part of the contract without hesitation, unlike MJF.

The fans already chant “BALD! BALD! BALD!” at MJF, and Darby pushes the contract to his side of the table. MJF grabs the pen, reaches out, but then steps away. MJF scratches his chin as he thinks on this, and the fans just chant, “BALD! BALD! BALD!” again. MJF takes a mic to say he’ll explain something to Darby, looking like he has rabies. But see, MJF is happy for Darby, he hopes Darby’s had fun holding MJF’s AEW World Championship. The fans boo that, but MJF says deep down, there is a small part of him, like the size of a North Carolinian p*nis small. That small part of MJF feels bad for Darby, because he’ll never hold this again!

Darby’s got about a good a chance of holding this title as Hangman Adam Page does again. MJF says guys like Darby are a dime a dozen, here today and gone tomorrow, stuntmen who burn the candle at both ends. In this life, people like all these fans here like to pretend that life is about making friends and family and children. The only thing that matters in life is your legacy. And Darby’s legacy will be that of the kid who had his 15 minutes of fame. They’ll pretend like Darby made a lasting impact, but the fact of the matter is, he hasn’t. He hasn’t! They’ll know deep down that Darby Allin was just a little pr*ck who got lucky.

They’ll know that Darby was too reckless and stupid to stay on top. And after May 24th, Double or Nothing, in that sh*thole of Queens, New York, y’know what MJF’s legacy will be? He’ll go down as the guy who became a THREE-TIME World Champion at just 30 years of age, unprecedented in this sport. And MJF will go down, when it’s all said and done, as the Greatest of All Time! THAT is the difference between them! Darby Allin brags about climbing a mountaintop. But when it comes to professional wrestling, Maxwell Jacob Friedman IS the mountaintop! The fans boo but MJF soaks it up. Darby tells MJF to SHUT UP!

Only someone like MJF who is so vain would think that the number one most important thing in this world is his legacy. Darby doesn’t care about legacy, he cares about living in the moment! And in this moment, Darby just wants MJF to sign the contract. Then at Double or Nothing, Darby makes Maxwell Jacob Friedman a BALLD HEADED B*TCH!! MJF frowns but the fans cheer that! MJF grabs the pen again, and with no choice, he signs on the dotted line! Then he TACKLES Darby! The fans boo as MJF beats up Darby after the war he went through with Konosuke! MJF CHUCKS an armchair outta the ring, FLIPS the table, then picks up his Dynamite Diamond Ring.

MJF puts the ring on his finger like always, then winds up to DECK Darby!! The fans boo but MJF just soaks it all up. MJF throws off his jacket, picks up the belt, and he stands over Darby with it. But then MJF isn’t done with Darby, he puts Darby on the top rope! MJF climbs up to join him, and drags Darby into position! But wait! Kevin Knight runs out here to chase MJF off! The Jet still owes The Scumbag a receipt, but it seems we’ll all have to wait on that. Will MJF still take back the title at Double or Nothing? Or will Darby keep the belt and take MJF’s dignity?

My Thoughts:

An awesome episode for Dynamite as things heat up towards Double or Nothing. Awesome 10 Man Tag to open, great win for the Faces, not that it added much to FTR VS C&C. Good promo from Jericho to look back on Stadium Stampede and hype up this year’s match. Good promo from The Demand with Davis and The Dogs, and I suppose this maximizes the feuds as well as the alliances throughout the locker room. Who knows who wins but the match will still be awesome, just as the original was. Good promo from Conglomeration, too, Cassidy & Roddy going after FTR while Kyle VS Moxley happens on the side, that’s great stuff.

Speaking of Moxley, great promo from him and Ospreay. Moxley’s semi-turn has really brought out his sage philosophical side. Great match from Ospreay VS Ace, and while Ospreay could always bring out his aggression, seeing him use more technical wrestling and even winning with a submission is good stuff. Good promo from Joe, and I liked Death Riders backing Ospreay up. Very good Owen Hart Cup brackets this year, Joe VS Ospreay is a great choice given this story, but I would think Ospreay wins that one. Good promo from Jack Perry to call out Davis, and I suppose Jack can win in the Owen Cup to then move on from the National title.

Great seeing Brian Cage back, he gave Knight an awesome match, but with JetSpeed wanting to go on a Two Man Power Trip, it makes sense Kevin won out. Same for Bailey beating Westbrook, even though Westbrook maybe went too hard on his own acrobatic escape. Great stuff in the Six Woman Tag, and I appreciate Shida didn’t ditch until after the match. Willow, Mina & Rosa might get their own Six Woman Tag with Triangle of Madness after that interaction, but also can’t wait to see if Willow can go back-to-back as Queen of Harts. For that matter, I personally would love to see Athena use the Owen Cup to move on from being ROH Women’s World Champion, but that depends on how Supercard of Honor goes this Friday.

And of course, another wild instant classic from Darby as he overcomes Takeshita. I knew the diamond ring would come into play with that reverse effect, good way of protecting Takeshita in the loss. Good stuff with MJF tonight, too, such as the opening segment’s parade of bald men to send the message to MJF. That was also a unique contract signing segment in that it came together so quickly after the main event match. Good stuff from MJF as always, and of course he attacks Darby. I feel like either Knight should not have made the save, or both parts of JetSpeed should’ve made the save. It just seems odd that only Knight cared about saving Darby. The closing moment was much better when it was MJF standing over Darby with the belt.

My Score: 9/10

The fans boo Davis but he soaks it up while Collision goes to break.

The ref checks Jack but Davis goes out to fetch him. Davis grabs a towel to CHOKE Jack with it! The ref reprimands, Davis stops, but then he sits Jack up on the railing. Davis CHOPS Jack into the crowd! Davis leaves Jack behind while the ring count climbs. Jack drags himself up while the fans cheer him on, and Jack gets help getting up and over the barriers. The fans are thunderous but Callis rushes to ringside! The fans all boo Callis, but wait! RICOCHET slides into the ring! Still dressed in his golf course attire, he CRACKS Jack with his nine iron!! Ricochet hides, Davis deadlifts Jack, COUNT TO PAIN!! Cover, DAVIS WINS!

Winner: Mark Davis, by pinfall (NEW AEW National Champion)

Talk about a handicap! Callis AND Ricochet gave Davis quite a considerable one, and now Davis has his first singles title in AEW! The Jurassic Express National Tour has just been run off the road, but will Jack be able to get his revenge?

Collision returns, and Jack Perry is on the phone.

He tells someone, “Let’s do it. Thank you, guys.” Jack ends his call, then shows his frustration. Winning the National Championship in his hometown, in front of his friends and family, was one of the proudest moments of his entire life. And yet Ricochet and Callis had to end that for him. But he happens to know that Chris Jericho & The Hurt Syndicate are looking for two more partners for Stadium Stampede. And Jack go to thinking, the show is called Double or Nothing. So how about instead of two, Jack brings FOUR! The ELITE! Jack, The Bucks, and KENNY OMEGA! See you there. Ricochet may have just messed himself over, will he regret ever getting involved tonight?

Backstage interview with Don Callis, Mark Davis and Ricochet.

Renee Paquette is with the Jackal, Dunkzilla and the Bald Eagle as she says she was going to congratulate Davis on the title win, but after Jack putting out that news, what is their reaction? Callis says he’s thrilled! Jack just gifted him his ultimate fantasy! A chance to beat up Jericho, The Bucks AND Kenny, all on one night? Callis would’ve paid good money for that, and Jack, you dumbass, just gave it away from free! Ricochet says The Don Callis Family must be joining The Demand for Stadium Stampede. Well, given the way Ricochet just used that golf club, the National Champion will gladly stand beside him!

Ricochet says playing golf with Tony Khan has really improved his swing, so see you all there. Callis says yes, let’s go have a drink at the 19th Hole and talk about which of the many members of the Don Callis Family are going to join Ricochet in the slaughterhouse! Ricochet says oh yes, so many great choices to choose from! Callis & Ricochet head out, just how massive will this Stadium Stampede match get?

AEW Women’s World Championship Eliminator: The Divine Dominion VS Ruthie Slay & Rachel Ley!

Megan Bayne & Lena Kross are so dominant, they don’t even think this match is going to last five minutes! But while there’s a time limit, will there be no limit to how devastating the Megasus & Aussie Amazon can be? Or will Slay & Ley manage to survive the day?

The teams sort out, Lena starts against Slay, and the clock is ticking! Slay DROPKICKS, but Lena doesn’t budge! Ley ENZIGIRIS, but Lena still doesn’t flinch! Ley & Slay double kick, but Lena blocks the double whip! Lena whips them, ELBOWS Slay and SPIN-OUT SIDEWALK SLAMS Ley! Then she scoops Slay to SLAM her onto Ley! Lena drags Ley up, whips her to the corner, then runs up to LARIAT! And ELBOW! Tag to Megan and the Divine Dominion run side to side! BOOT from Lena, BOOT from Megan! Then GERMAN SUPLEX! Ley tumbles, the fans cheer, and Megan tags Lena back in. Lena storms up on Ley to GERMAN SUPLEX again!

The fans cheer as Lena tags Megan back in. We’ve hit 90 seconds, but it feels like forever for Ley as Megan GERMAN SUPLEXES again! Megan kips up, then she stalks Ley. Megan eggs Ley on, slaps her around, then drags her up. Megan fireman’s carries, but Slay manages to tag in! Slay runs up, but Megan scoops her! FALL AWAY SLAM SAMOAN DROP COMBO! They’ve made it two minutes but that might be all! Tag to Lena, she and Megan get Slay up, DIVINE INTERVENTION! Cover, Divine Dominion wins!

Winners: The Divine Dominion, by pinfall (denies Slay & Ley a title opportunity)

Two minutes and 15 seconds is all Slay & Ley got, will any team last even that long? Or will the Divine Dominion continue to dominate AEW until the end of time?

BREAKING NEWS for Double or Nothing!

The Triangle of Madness may have misted Persephone and injured Alex Windsor, but that only heaps on more trouble for the champion! Thekla must now defend her AEW Women’s World Championship in a FATAL 4 WAY! Thekla VS Jamie Hayter VS Kris Statlander VS Hikaru Shida, is The Toxic Spider about to get squashed? Or will she need her Sisters of Sin now more than ever?

BREAKING NEWS for Dynamite!

The annual tradition is back! The 2026 Owen Hart Memorial Tournament begins, with the brackets for both men’s and women’s divisions to be announced on Wednesday! Who makes the cut? And who will become the King & Queen of Harts?

Don Callis speaks, again.

“Just moments away from the AEW World title match between Darby Allin and Pac, and gentlemen, just wanted to let you know that the Don Callis Family, no matter who wins tonight, the Don Callis Family will be waiting for the winner. This Wednesday on Dynamite, the Don Callis Family will take the AEW World title from one of you. And y’know, it’s already been a great night, a big night, for the Don Callis Family! We won gold, but can’t wait to get some more. And on the subject of that, Okada has had to go to Japan to take care of some very important family business. But don’t worry, lads, because I have someone in mind to take his spot this Wednesday in the world title match.

“And it is none other than the firstborn of the Don Callis Family, Konosuke Takeshita, The Alpha!” Takeshita steps in, and Callis tells him, “You’re gonna be the world champion! If you listen to me like you always have, you will be successful, and you will finally fulfill the destiny that I had for you when I plucked you out of obscurity and made you the replacement for Kenny Omega. You’re the best wrestler in the world when you’ve got my game plan in your head. Go win the title.” Konosuke tells Don that he was going to take the International Championship, but now he is the person who will bring the world title back to the Don Callis Family! Unlike Okada.

Takeshita heads out, will he still make himself a double champion when he adds #PrettyPlatinum to the NJPW World Television Championship?

“Speedball” Mike Bailey w/ Kevin Knight VS Kiran Grey!

This match was on standby in case the Divine Dominion didn’t need all five minutes of their time, and now it’s a chance for Speedball to shine! But will he keep his momentum going from last Wednesday’s super show? Or will he get lost in the Grey Area?

Grey is already starting trouble as he pushes Bailey. The ref backs him off, then the bell rings. Grey runs up, but into a BOOT! Bailey then PENALTY KICKS, STANDING KNEE-SAULT, then Bailey waits on Grey. Grey ducks the buzzsaw and bails out! The fans boo but Bailey TRIANGLE JUMP MOONSAULTS! Down goes Grey and the fans fire up! Bailey daps it up with The Jet, then he climbs up the corner. But Grey goes after him! They brawl up top, Grey fires a flurry, but Bailey fires back! Bailey SHOVES Grey down, takes aim, but Grey hits the ropes! Bailey is tripped up onto his speedballs, but Grey dribbles him off the buckles!

Grey CLUBS Bailey into a Tree of Woe, then soaks up the heat before he stomps Bailey! Grey tells Bailey to stay down but Bailey grabs  that leg! Bailey uses that to drag himself back up, and he ROCKS Grey again! Bailey dribbles Grey off buckles, then HEADBUTTS him! Grey falls, Bailey takes aim, ULTIMATE WEAPON! Cover, Bailey wins!

Winner: “Speedball” Mike Bailey, by pinfall

A fast win for Speedball, and Knight gets the mic. he says he likes that! Speedball is red hot right now. And though The Jet didn’t get two belts on Wednesday, he’s still the Face of TNT. Now, the future of AEW is wide open, so why not they make it to the top together? They shake hands on it, will JetSpeed shift gears to become a Two Man Power Trip? What belt(s) will they aim for next?

AEW World Championship No Count Outs Match: Darby Allin VS PAC!

Anticipating how wild this one can get given the nature of their grudge, AEW decided to remove some of the obstacles standing in their way. They can’t do anything they want, but they can definitely go anywhere they want here in the SoFi Center! But will Darby even up the career series between them? Or will it be 3-1 in favor of The Bastard?

The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see who takes this belt to Dynamite!

The bell rings and the fans rally behind Darby. Darby hops outside already, and he goes around the crowd to be on the golfing green! This is No Count Outs, so he wants to take full advantage of it already! He dares Pac to join him, so Pac heads over to the green! They fire hands on the rough and the fans fire up! Darby ducks, fires hands then HEADBUTTS Pac down! Darby brings Pac up but Pac BACKDROPS Darby! Pac then brings Darby closer to the bunker! Pac suplexes, Darby fights free, and he fires hands! Darby runs up, CODE RED into the sand trap! The fans go nuts seeing what is surely the first one of those ever!

Pac gets himself out of the sand and ends up on the fairway. Darby pursues, runs up, and ROCKS Pac1 they’re near another sand trap, and Darby SHOTGUNS Pac into the sand! The fans cheer “A E DUB! A E DUB!” for making this madness a reality! Darby goes after Pac, but Pac throws sand in Darby’s eyes! Pac then hauls Darby up to BELLY2BELLY SUPLEX Darby into the sand trap! Darby sputters, but Pac clamps on the BRUTALIZER! The ref reprimands, this isn’t Falls Count Anywhere! But fans know “This is Awesome!” as Pac makes Darby suffer! Darby sputters again as Pac lets him go, then shakes out the sand in his boots.

Pac drags Darby up with a headlock, but then decides to fireman’s carry! And gorilla press to THROW Darby back into the bunker! The fans boo but Pac soaks up that heat. Darby sputters and coughs while Collision goes picture in picture.

Darby sputters as he sits up, but Pac brings him back around. Pac brings Darby around, dumps him down, and soaks up more heat. Pac then brings Darby along the fairway, CLUBS him on the neck, and stalks him as they return to the crowd. They then return to ringside, then the ring itself, and Pac covers, TWO! Darby toughs it out, but Pac stalks him to the corner. Pac uncovers a crossbar before he stands Darby up. Fairway to Hell returns to single picture as Pac tiles the tag rope to Darby’s chain necklace! Darby can’t get free before Pac BOOTS him! The ref reprimands, but Darby SPITS at Pac! Pac takes that defiance and BOOTS Darby again!

Pac then has Darby’s legs, and YANKS him from the corner! The tag rope breaks and Darby flounders around. Pac whips to then BACKDROP Darby 450 degrees! Pac then builds up speed, but Darby avoids the lariat! The fans fire up as Darby slingshots back in and dragon sleepers for the SCORPION DEATH DROP! Cover, TWO! Pac and Darby are both down while the fans rally up again. Darby crawls to a corner, climbs up top, and he watches Pac rise. Pac turns around, but he manages to trip Darby up first! Pac then climbs up after Darby, hauls him up, and SUPER DUPER FALCON ARROWS! Cover, TWO!! Darby survives and the fans fire up again!

Pac frowns while Darby flounders out of the ring. The fans rally for Darby while Pac takes his time going to the outside. Pac looks under the ring, and he brings out a table! The fans cheer but the ref reprimands, this isn’t No Disqualifications! Pac still sets the table up nearby, making sure it lines up with the corner. Pac puts Darby on the table, then climbs up said corner. The fans freak out, anticipating what Pac is planning, and he steadies himself as he takes aim. Pac SUPER SHOOTING STARS but only gets table!! Darby avoids disaster, and Pac is somehow still in this after his crash landing! Darby puts Pac in, trips him, and steps through!

The fans fire up as Darby steps over, SCORPION DEATHLOCK!! Pac endures, reaches out, but Darby sits deep! Pac fights, claws, reaches out, and powers his way forward! ROPEBREAK! Darby lets Pac go, and Pac waves to the back. Well, of course The Death Riders are here! Darby spots Wheeler Yuta, Daniel Garcia & Marina Shafir storming down the aisle, but then Pac CLOBBERS him! A distraction tactic is good enough as Pac now turns the proverbial tables. Then he signals for them to get something, and they bring out another table! The fans chant, “On The Green!” but Pac doesn’t care about that. He scoops Darby to go up the steel steps!

The fans boo as Pac tucks Darby in, TOMBSTONE on the steel steps! The fans go nuts as Darby flops to the floor! Wait, wait, wait, now The Death Riders have STACKED tables?! Pac smirks as he brings Darby back up, and he fireman’s carries Darby to bring him over. Darby goes to the backstage area while Collision goes picture in picture.

Pac carries Darby all the way around to the backstage area, because this is the only place to get upstairs! Pac SMACKS Darby off a wall on the way to the stairs, and the ref reprimands while Pac scares off curious fans. Pac drags Darby up the stairs with a headlock, and they go to the upper deck! Pac brings Darby past the nice bar and lounge area, the ref and Death Riders making sure fans don’t get too close. Pac SMACKS Darby off another wall, then drags Darby through this VIP seating area to go to the balcony. Pac stomps Darby to keep him down, then drags him to the balcony railing! And lo and behold, those stacked tables are right there!

The ref reprimands and the fans are freaking out already, but Pac is looking to toss Darby! Darby clings to the railing but Pac CLUBS him. Pac then drags Darby up, but Darby fires body shots! Fairway to Hell returns to single picture as Darby fights desperately! Darby CLAWS Pac’s back, but Marina shouts at Darby! The ref keeps her back, but that lets Pac LOW BLOW Darby! The Problem continues to be just that, but also the insurance policy for the Death Riders! Pac stands Darby up, and THROWS him off!! Darby crashes down through the tables!!! The fans lose their minds all over again while Pac hurries to go back downstairs!

AEW medical staff is already checking Darby as he’s down in the wreckage, but Pac says screw that! He fireman’s carries Darby and puts him back in the ring! Pac covers, TWO!!! Darby survives and the fans are thunderous! Pac and The Death Riders are in shock! Pac falls back to a corner as he shakes his head. Pac argues with the ref, but 2.99 still isn’t 3! The fans rally for Darby, but Pac storms over to him. Pac looms over Darby, Yuta slides a chair into the ring, but the ref snatches it away! Only for Marina to slide the title belt in! Pac takes aim while Darby rises, but then Darby springs to life! Pac has seen a ghost, or maybe a zombie!

Pac winds up, but Darby LOW BLOWS! And BELT SHOTS!! Darby gets Pac in place, goes up top, COFFIN DROP!! Cover, DARBY WINS!

Winner: Darby Allin, by pinfall (still AEW World Champion)

Pac said it himself, Darby is the indestructible boy! But can Darby keep this up? Or will The Alpha come through on his promise and bring this title back to the Don Callis Family this Wednesday?

My Thoughts:

A great hour of AEW here as this special edition of Collision, though “Fairway to Hell” is such a random thing to begin with. They must’ve made a business deal with SoFi and TGL, which to me might be more AEW helping TGL get noticed on a national scale. And changing the status quo with the National Championship was quite the surprise, but that’s still great for Davis. Ricochet being the reason why, and then that compelling The Elite jumping into Stadium Stampede is a bit convoluted. I get they’re using continuity of how Kenny hates Callis and vice-versa, but it undercuts what I was hoping for in Hurt Syndicate getting to introduce new members. But hey, 7v7 is pretty wild, too.

I appreciate Divine Dominion adding something to their squash matches with that five minute goal. Slay & Ley already set a good time with over two minutes, and I’m sure two minutes will be the average as they just dominate all summer. And it seems Alex Windsor is gonna be out a little longer than expected, given that adjustment for Double or Nothing. A Fatal 4 Way is still good for how Thekla can use her challengers against each other, or be protected in a loss if they choose. It also helps bring in the Shidalander story, but it also feels like we’re skipping chapters. That Fatal 4 Way can probably get us to the team breaking up and Shida turning on Statlander for their own feud.

Bailey VS Grey probably was a legit standby match, that went quick. And Knight had a decent promo saying he and Bailey are still gonna be JetSpeed going for all the gold. Not sure if that comes true or just sets things up for the team to fall apart. And then a really wild main event with the “No Count Out” match. They probably could’ve just called that No Holds Barred but they wanted to add heat on how The Death Riders were cheating the second half of that match. Both table spots were risky, but obviously Darby did the crazier one. AEW really needs to be careful not to push it much further than that, though.

Then the news of Okada being out for Dynamite, hopefully it’s nothing too tragic with his family. But Takeshita as the substitute is a good choice, this helps build the Okada VS Takeshita match at the same time as building Darby up. Pretty sure MJF accepts the terms of Title VS Hair, and it’d be very MJF if he were to announce that while attacking Darby to close the show on Wednesday.

My Score: 8.8/10
