JB gest in the ring, ducks Fish’s roundhouse and tackles him! The bell rings as JB grounds ‘n’ pounds Fish, but Fish kicks him away. JB throws forearms and puts Fish in a corner for more! Fans are fired up but Fish knees low and puts JB in the corner. JB BOOTS back, CHOPS Fish then knuckle locks to go up and up, only for Fish to WRING JB out! JB hits ropes on the way down and Fish pursues! Fish gets JB up for body shots and forearms, then a KICK to the leg. Fish SLAMS JB’s arm into railing Fish puts JB in, stalks him and throws more body shots. Fish waistlocks, JB blocks the lift and wrenches out to a waistlock, only for Fish to back him into a corner!

Fish throws hands, wrenches and back suplexes, but JB land son his feet! JB waistlocks, Fish resists so JB CHOPS away! JB goes up and up and tries again, FLYING ARM-DRAG! And a dropkick! Fans fire up while Fish gets to a corner. JB CHOPS Fish, and CHOPS again! JB whips Fish corner to corner, Fish reverses and runs in. JB slips out to slide under, go around and shoulder in! JB suplexes but Fish lands on the apron to waistlock! JB throws elbows while holding onto the ropes. Fish keeps trying, JB keeps throwing elbows. Fish hops down to sweep the legs! JB lands on the apron hard and clutches his arm as he hits the floor.

Fish gets JB up, wrenches and hammerlocks to then RAM JB into railing! Fish taunts fans who are talking trash, then he stomps JB. Fish drags JB up, JB throws body shots. Fish DECKS JB, then he drags JB up to wrench and WRING him out again! The ref reprimands and counts, but Fish brings JB up to hammerlock. JB reverses the whip to POST Fish instead! Fish is in a daze, JB drags himself up but Fish YANKS him into the post! Fish drags JB up, throws knees, then throws him down hard. The ref goes out to try and make Fish stop but he stomps JB while AEW goes picture in picture.

Fish finally goes back into the ring, only to refresh the count. Fish KICKS JB while he’s down, then egg him on. Fish drags JB up, wrenches and CLUBS the arm, then taunts more fans. JB hits back and CHOPS, but Fish KICKS him down! Fish drags JB up, throws forearms, then throws body shots and kicks. Fish wrenches, RAMS a shoulder into JB, then puts him in the ring. Fish takes a moment to flex on the fans literally before he goes into the ring. AEW returns to single picture as Fish runs corner to corner, into an elbow! JB forearms and CHOPS with his good arm, whips, but Fish reverses and JB dropkicks a leg out! JB runs but Fish side steps, the COMEBACKER hits!

Fans fire up for JB as he gets Fish up. Fish turns suplex into a wrench and CLUBS the bad arm! Then he RAMS JB into a corner! Fish wrenches, hammerlocks and back suplexes JB onto the arm! Cover, TWO! JB is toughing it out but Fish seethes. JB rises, Fish runs corner to corner at him, but into an OVERHEAD Belly2Belly into buckles! GERMAN SUPLEX! Bridging cover, TWO! But JB holds on! JB drags Fish up, Fish blocks the lift and pries the hold to wrench, knee, hammerlock and POST JB! JB falls back, crawls, and Fish gives him last rites. But JB ducks the buzzsaw to schoolboy! TWO, and Fish puts JB on the apron! JB shoulders back in, steps in, TORNADO-

NO! Fish wrenches, hammerlock, EXPLODER into the ropes! JB has a rough landing, Fish covers, TWO!?! Fish can’t believe it, but he drags JB up. JB is dead weight, Fish wants this called! JB somehow rises, pushes Fish away, but Fish KICKS the bad arm! JB sits up again, into another KICK! JB uses the good arm to block the kick! He gets the leg, and the SNARE- NO, Fish fights it so JB CLUBS him on the back! And again, and even crossface forearms! SNARE TRAP IS IN!! Fish taps, JB wins!!

Winner: Jungle Boy, by submission

The Young Bucks say they’re tough guys but JB just showed how tough HE is. But here comes Adam Cole! He and JB brawl, Fish KICKS JB’s leg out! These old friends stomp away on JB, then hug it out! Cole goes out to look under the ring, and he brings out chairs! Fish keeps JB down as Cole puts chairs in. Cole wants to do what Christian did to him, but here comes Christian and Luchasaurus! Cole runs away, Fish gets mugged! Luchasaurus feeds Fish to Christian’s KILLSWITCH! The Bucks arrive but Captain Charisma and Luchasaurus are ready! The Super Kliq backs down, but will they have no chance in the Falls Count Anywhere fight?

AEW looks closer at the Eliminator Tournament Finals.

The American Dragon saw AEW as “the place where real professional wrestling lives.” If Bryan Danielson wants to be the best pro-wrestler, he had to go to AEW. Miro still vows that God’s Forsaken will become God’s Favorite. Bryan has known Miro a long time and has never once beat him. This Miro now is more experience and knows himself more. In one way, it’s great to see. In another, it’s a problem. Miro vows that he will be forgiven and will be champion! Bryan says that he hasn’t beaten Miro yet. But will Bryan come out the new #1 contender after Full Gear?

The Super Kliq speaks.

Cutler, shut up. Promote the PPV! Tomorrow night, it is them and “those three chumps,” but wait, Hangman Page walks in! He wants to talk to Matt & Nick. Anything he wants to say to the Bucks, he says to Cole. Matt says it’s okay. They’ve got this. They’re sure? Yeah. Cole walks away and Hangman says Cutler can keep rolling. Hangman knows they had nothing to do with Wednesday, but there’s something he’s been wanting to say for a long time. “I’m sorry.” Oh? He was an ass for a long time, threw away their friendship and cost the Bucks a title shot. But then they cost him a shot in July, so they’re even now.

So on Saturday, if the Bucks so much as lay a hand on him, Hangman swears to God to RUIN them. Cutler, cut it. Will the Cowboy have to come through on that ultimatum at Full Gear?

Jade Cargill w/ Mark Sterling VS Santana Garrett!

The storm is coming, and she will face Red Velvet in the next round of the TBS Championship tournament. There’s a cake for her to celebrate one year anniversary in AEW, but Cargill wants nothing to do with it. Will she simply make a snack out of her second generation opponent to send a message to Velvet?

The bell rings, the two circle and tie up. Cargill powers Garrett to the corner, lets off to then fire off forearms and get in Garrett’s face! Garrett walks that off, ties up and gets a leg, but Cargill CLUBS her then throws her right out of the ring! Cargill takes her time pursuing Garrett, drags her up and bumps her off the apron. Cargill spots Velvet in the crowd and they start jawing right away! Sterling has them back down, Garrett mule kicks Cargill! Cargill blocks the post shot to throw Garrett onto Velvet! Velvet scowls, Cargill drags Garrett up, but Velvet has to be held back! Cargill drags Garrett into the ring, takes a moment to flex, then she gets in, only for Garrett to be all over her!

Cargill shoves Garrett away, steadies herself, and catches Garrett’s handspring into the chicken wings! JADED!! Cover, Cargill wins!

Sterling celebrates, but Jade still wants nothing to do with the cake. Velvet SPEARS Cargill on the ramp! Sterling turns around, and Velvet shoves the cake into his face! And the brawling begins! Cargill has Velvet down but Velvet turns it around! The referees pull these two apart but then Velvet gets after Cargill again! Fans want to “LET THEM FIGHT!” and Velvet gets loose again! The refs pull them apart again, Sterling gets Cargill outta there. Will things really explode when they have their high stakes rematch?

AEW takes a closer look at Punk VS Kingston.

The Best in the World admits that the Mad King isn’t all that different from him. “He’s very much a what-you-see-is-what-you-get type of guy.” They come from very different places, but also very similar, Punk growing up on the streets of Chicago, Eddie Kingston being from the streets of New York. But Kingston knows Punk’s never respected him. He’d look at Kingston like he’s a low life. Everyone praises Punk now for “helping the young guys,” but he’s fooling everyone.

Punk knows people are wondering how Punk will beat Kingston, but Punk asks, “How’s Eddie Kingston gonna beat himself?” Because as cruel as this may sound, that’s Kingston’s life story. All the talent in the world, doesn’t put in any of the work, and Punk didn’t even bring that to light. Kingston’s been wanting Punk to fight him for years. In parking lots, everywhere, but Punk wouldn’t. Punk is here to wrestle and have fun. And if he has to hurt Kingston to have fun, to get that respect, then he’ll do that. Will this be less about winning and more about surviving at Full Gear?

Dante Martin VS Ariya Daivari!

A hometown hero takes on a hometown heel as Angel Dorado returns to Minneapolis to take on the Persian Lion! Will Dante keep the momentum going while ruining the AEW debut of Daivari Dinero?

The bell rings, Daivari and Dante circle, shake hands, and fans fire up! The two tie up, Dante headlocks, Daivari powers out but Dante rolls. Things speed up, Dante whips, hurdles but Daivari holds ropes. Dante fakes Daivari out, waistlocks and O’Conner rolls, ONE! Dante goes up the corner, leaps over Daivari then sobats! Whip, Daivari reverses, “This is Awesome!” as Dante RANAS Daivari! Things keep moving, Dante springboards to SHOTGUN! Daivari bails out and fans are thunderous! Daivari gets in, Dante boots through the clothesline to go up and RANA Daivari again! And he handsprings just to show off!

Dante runs in at the corner, is put on the apron but he ROCKS Daivari! Dante goes up, Daivari trips him up! Dante hits buckles, Daivari rolls him up, TWO! Daivari puts Dante on the apron, through the ropes, and he CHOPS Dante! And CHOPS! And mule kicks! Daivari goes to the corner, goes up and GUILLOTINE LEG DROPS! Cover, TWO!! Dante holds onto ropes, Daivari whips and drops but Dante ducks and dodges, into a kitchen sink knee! Daivari mule kicks then dropkicks Dante down! Cover, TWO! Fans rally up, Daivari gets Dante up and CHOPS him again. And CHOPS him again! Dante staggers away, throws body shots and haymakers back, but Daivari knees low.

Daivari whips, Dante leaps to sunset flip, TWO! Dante dodges to PELE Daivari down! Fans fire up as both men are down and slowly stirring. Dante gets up, throws big forearms, then he runs, but Daivari follows to RUNNING NECKBREAKER! Daivari gets Dante up into the hammerlock, LION’S LARIAT! Daivari drags Dante to a drop zone, goes up top, FROG SPLASH! Cover, TWO!! Fans are thunderous as Daivari drags Dante back up. Dante drags Daivari down, rolls him, gets spladle, TWO!! Dante goes to the corner, elbows Daivari away, staggers to ropes, and flips up and over Daivari! Then he runs, jumps and FLIES to take down Daivari!

Dante puts Daivari in, fans are loving this as Dante goes up again, triangle jump QUEBRADA! Cover, Dante wins!!

The hometown hero wins, but Team Taz moves in off commentary? Ricky Starks introduces himself to Dante and says Dante’s been on a roll. Shut up and let him finish, fans! Dante’s real hot, Team Taz has noticed. Will Hobbs gives Dante a contract, Hook offers chips. Think about this, Dante. Strike while the iron is hot, right? Look over the Team FTW contract, and they’ll be here when he says yes. Starks wants Dante to look it over as good as he can. Will Dante jump ship from #LBOLio to Team Taz?

AEW takes a closer look at the AEW Women’s World Championship match.

Taz thinks Tay Conti is a big time threat to Dr. Britt Baker’s title reign. Tony Schiavone agrees, just looking at Conti’s win-loss record. Excalibur adds that Conti is an Olympic level judoka, has muay thai striking and jiujitsu techniques and submissions. The title is the most precious thing Britt owns, so she tells Tay to hold onto all those martial arts belts, because Britt doesn’t give a shit. The gold belt is the one that matters, and it’s staying with DMD. But good ol’ JR says that it only takes three seconds to win a match. In this case, it takes three seconds to become champion. Though, he’s not sure if that happens here.

Taz says the champion is the underdog here. Conti has the credibility and that will be too much for Britt to deal with. Will Britt no longer be smiling when she and Conti finally throw down?

Mark Henry interviews the main eventers!

The World’s Strongest Broadcaster says Matt Hardy almost destroyed Orange Cassidy last Dynamite. Is that his intentions tonight? Yes! Cassidy and his hands-in-pockets don’t belong in this business, or in Hardy’s! But Cassidy, what do you think about that? “I don’t think it’s good.” Well here’s what is good! Hardy got his eyes on tonight’s list of lumberjacks. And aside for the three lumberjerks standing with Cassidy, there’s a lot of people with “integrity.” Uh… Cassidy is tired of this. This has been going on forever. His three friends are dressed up as lumberjacks now, enough is enough. After tonight, it’s over.

Y-Yeah, it is! For Cassidy! After tonight, it is OVAAA~! Then enough talk. It’s time for the main event! AEW goes to break, but will we see who this feud breaks once and for all when Rampage returns?

Lumberjack Match: Orange Cassidy VS Matt Hardy!

Rampage returns and we see that The Factory, The Acclaimed, he Varsity Blonds, the Gunn Club, the Wingmen, and even Fuego Del Sol, will be our lumberjacks to keep this one in the ring! The HFO is already in the ring with Big Money Matt as Orange Cassidy and the cosplaying Best Friends make their entrance. The bell rings and Hardy shouts, “Alright, boys! For one night only, you’re honorary members of the HFO, for a HUGE payday! $20,000 to the man that knocks Orange Cassidy’s ass out! GET HIM!” For that kind of money, The Factor, The Acclaimed, the Gunn Club and the Wingmen mug Best Friends, Fuego & The Blonds! Bunny DECKS Kris Statlander!

Cassidy takes off the sunglasse to TACKLE Hardy! Cassidy rains down fists, Hardy scrambles to a corner but Cassidy fires off fast hands! He is furious and that is rare to see but the fans are loving it! Hardy throws Cassidy out, he already has to fight off the Gunn Club boys! Cassidy gets in, Hardy kicks low, TWIST- NO! Backslide! TWO, and Hardy throws Cassidy back out! Isiah Kassidy taunts Cassidy but The Blade RAMS Cassidy into railing! And then more railing! He and Kassidy stomp Cassidy but then Blade puts Cassidy in for Hardy. Hardy drags Cassidy up to CLUB him on the neck again and again. Then turns him for a NECKBREAKER!

Hardy drops a leg, brother! Then another one, brother! Cover, TWO! Hardy drags Cassidy up and bumps him off buckles again and again and again! Hardy soaks up the heat but all those he bribed cheer as AEW goes picture in picture.

Hardy looms over Cassidy, gives toying kicks to mock Cassidy’s shin kicks, then brings Cassidy up to ROCK him with a haymaker! Hardy fires off hands against the ropes, lets off to taunt the fans, then he ROPE GUILLOTINES! Cassidy sputters and writhes. Hardy goes out, brings Cassidy onto the apron and CLUBS him over and over. Hardy drags Cassidy out to POST him! And the Wingmen stomp away on him! They go after the bandaged ribs before dragging Cassidy up. QT Marshall brings Cassidy up but fakes throwing him into the ring so that the lumberjacks can continue to mug Cassidy! Everyone gets a shot in before they let Cassidy fall.

Bowens mocks Cassidy’s pain, Ryan Nemeth & JD Drake taunt Cassidy. They put Cassidy in for Hardy, he covers, TWO! The Best Friends and Blonds continue to get stomped while Hardy throws Cassidy out that way. Everyone on Cassidy’s side gets stomped down, then Blade puts Cassidy back in. Cover, TWO! Cassidy gets to ropes but Hardy is after him again. Cassidy throws body shots then runs, but into a SLEEPER! Hardy squeezes tight, Cassidy flails and reaches, but Hardy hits a BIG back suplex! Cover, TWO! Hardy gets up in a huff as AEW returns to single picture. Fans rally for Cassidy but Hardy throws him back out to the ramp.

The Wingmen mug Cassidy again, as does the Factory. But with them all focused on Cassidy, they don’t see Chuckie T & Wheeler Yuta get up and in the ring! Chuck and Yuta FLY to take out the lumberjacks! Cassidy is clear and he gets back in the ring! He ducks and dodges Hardy to DIVE onto the HFO! Then he gets in, but Hardy kicks! Hardy whips, Cassidy reverses and Hardy lands on the Wingmen! Chuck and Yuta give Cassidy a boost, FLYING ORANGE! Direct hit onto Hardy and his henchmen! Cassidy puts Hardy in, climbs up a corner, but Hardy bails out. Only for Yuta to throw him in! That’s a proper lumberjack! CROSSBODY! Hardy writhes and checks his face!

Cassidy gets Hardy up but Hardy gets him for a SIDE EFFECT! Cover, TWO! Cassidy grits his teeth despite the rib pain but Hardy wants him to get back up. Hardy kicks, TWIST- NO! Cassidy wrenches, dodges, tilt-o-whirls, and DDT’s! Hardy flounders, Cassidy gets to a corner and climbs up again. But Kassidy shoves Cassidy off and Cassidy gets a hotshot! Blade gets in but Yuta gets him for an OLYMPIC SLAM! Kassidy brushes his shoe off, but Chuck brings him around for an AWFUL WAFFLE! Hardy gives Chuck a TWIST OF FATE! Cassidy gets in, Hardy wants to use his submission hold! Underhooks, but Cassidy blocks! Alabama lift, to the BEACH BREAK!

Cassidy kip sup and fans fire up! He throws off the armband, takes aim, ORANGE PUNCH for Aaron Solo! ORANGE PUNCH for Peter Avalon! QT gets in, Cassidy dodges to ORANGE PUNCH back! Hardy is all alone but Bunny gets in, only for Statlander to SPEAR her down! Statlander throws down hands but The Blade gets in! BRASS KNUCKLE PUNCH!! Hardy hurries to flop and cover, Hardy wins!!

Winner: Matt Hardy, by pinfall

Big Money Matt wins and perhaps The Blade gets that $20,000 bonus for that cheap shot. The HFO keeps the Best Friends out and Hardy puts Cassidy in THE LEECH!! Cassidy is already out, and then Blade DECKS Yuta with the BRASS KNUCKLES!! The others mug Chuckie T, BRASS KNUCKLES for Chuck! Bunny DECKS Statlander with the knuckles!! The HFO stand tall over the Best Friends, and this is how the grudge between them ends! Will anyone make Big Money Matt pay for what he’s done?

My Thoughts:

A great Rampage as one last go-home for AEW into Full Gear. We got a great opener from Jungle Boy and Bobby Fish, and that was a big win for JB. But at the same time, they keep the go-home math muddy as The Super Kliq beat JB up but then get run off by Christian & Luchasaurus. I’m thinking Super Kliq finds a way to win, even if it means Fish helps them and becomes an honorary member of The Elite. Hangman having a moment with the Bucks was good, too. It really adds to the dynamics of their relationship, puts them on notice when it comes to the world title main event, and could even be a very tense, dramatic moment in the main event where the Bucks appear just to distract, not directly make contact.

Cargill was of course winning but Garrett got a bit longer of a match than I thought. That cake was definitely going into someone’s face so it was pretty good that Sterling, who supposedly brought the cake, gets it in his face. Velvet and Cargill have a great brawl, but I’m still very confident that Cargill wins their match. Dante VS Daivari was awesome, especially since the fans were so fired up for it. This is a rare case where there are two hometown wrestlers, and I think that’s why AEW booked it at all. Dante gets a great win, and I like that Team Taz is the one starting something with Dante and Lio. Maybe Dante can get a shot at the FTW Championship through this.

The Lumberjack match was a lot of fun, and it was a clever twist to have the Face lumberjacks so outnumbered and overwhelmed by the Heels. They did a great job of having that feed into the story of the match, where the tides turned as soon as the Face lumberjacks could finally fight back. But I am really surprised Hardy won here. I would’ve thought the feud would end with Cassidy and the Best Friends standing tall, but perhaps this is to give the HFO a chance at moving up to take on Face champions. Sammy Guevara will still be TNT Champion after Full Gear, I wouldn’t mind seeing Hardy step up to face him for that title and then HFO VS Inner Circle happens at the same time.
