Wow, they got this up to 32 minutes! Yeah, there’s sarcasm there. But in seriousness, it is rather disappointing that the Cruiserweight Champion opens the show that was supposed to put the division on the map. Feng gets a good showing, but of course Strong wins, and I do like that they’re making his jumping knee a finisher. When is Strong going to take on Cruiserweights? WWE released guys like Trey Baxter, Oney Lorcan, as well as Lucha House Party, who could’ve and should’ve returned to NXT to bump up both the NXT Tag and Cruiserweight Divisions honestly. Then Yan gets a good debut as the second-ever Chinese woman wrestler signed to WWE, but Feroz continues an undefeated streak, and she might be one of the 2.0 female superstars tagged to get a slow burn push.

And as I said with WWE putting Sarray and Ember Moon and a few others on 205 Live before, this show should rebrand to NXT Lite. And also like with WWE putting those bigger names on here, it’s less raising 205 Live and making it seem like those names are dropping down. Grizzled Young Veterans VS #JacketTime, Kushida and Jiro, would’ve been on NXT 1.0 and we wouldn’t even have things like Lashing Out taking up time. That said, we get a really good 12 minute match, but I should’ve figured the Creed Brothers would screw Kushida & Jiro over. They’re having a match on Tuesday, this “ruins” Jacket Time’s debut so that their first win will be on TV.
