The Holiday Bash has more to give, and AEW Dark: Elevation has eight more before New Year’s! Who gets momentum going into the New Year’s Smash?

QUICK NOTES

Eight is a good number for Elevation, and we’ve got some good match-ups thrown in here. The Dark Order is definitely going 50-50 on the night, with Reynolds, Silver & Vance taking their match while Uno, Stu & Angels lose to get Gunn Club back up. The tag team of Tay Conti & Anna Jay is officially named TayJay now, and I hope they can be what gets the AEW Women’s Tag Division going again. They don’t need to do a Deadly Draw, but a tag tournament to carry the TBS transition could work out. Of course, that would require AEW to do more than one women’s match a show.

AFTER WATCHING

Wow, the order I put those matches in was the exact order they were played. But at 46 minutes, these were all pretty quick matches. Spears VS Moriarty was a real fun one, though, give that a watch. Also a real fun match in Dark Order VS Gunn Club, but I was right about Dark Order splitting the night. Hardy getting to main event is great stuff for him, I feel like Hardy should be built up to challenge for a singles title because he’s just floating around the midcard for nostalgia’s sake. Plus, now that Cody has the TNT title, they can reference how Hardy came in to help The Elite against The Inner Circle when technically it should’ve been Cody in that fifth spot.
