Rampage opens with a red hot rematch from Full Gear, that Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler accuse Penta El Zero Miedo & Rey Fenix of cheating to win! Will “the greatest luchador tag team” avenge that loss and become double champions? Or will the Lucha Brothers instead exact their own justice on the team that stole the AAA Tag Team Championships?

The teams are already in the ring, the introductions are made, and the AEW belts are raised. It’s time to see who are the TRUE top guys in AEW!

Fans chant for “CERO! MIEDO!” as Dax and Fenix start. They circle, tie up, and Dax headlocks. Dax hits the takeover, Fenix headscissors but Dax kips out. They circle again as fans cheer, and Fenix baits Dax for a toehold. Dax stays up, floats to a facelock but Fenix slips out to get the arm. Dax fights up, rolls Fenix, ONE! Fenix and Dax knuckle lock, Dax rolls and wrenches to wrangle Fenix. Fenix kips up, reaches out but Dax keeps Fenix from Penta. Cash gets in, Fenix kicks him and uses him to flip and arm-drag Dax away! ROLLING KICK for Cash, CHOP and knuckle lock for Dax! Cash rushes in, Fenix jumps over him then mule kicks him down!

Fenix goes to the corner, up and up and jumps around to FLYING HEADSCISSOR ARM-DRAG COMBO! Fenix brings Dax up, tag to Penta. Lucha Bros double whip, body shot and KICK, then they coordinate, alley-oop SPLASH! Cover, TWO! Dax bails out to regroup with Tully and Cash and talk this out. Penta wants Dax to come back but Dax glares at fans. Dax gets up, gets in, tags Cash, and Cash circles with Penta, mirroring the strut. But Penta takes off the glove, ducks Cash and rolls him up! TWO, Penta gets the arms for a Oklahoma Roll, TWO! Penta throws the glove to Cash to then SUPERKICK him down! Cash is dazed but the fans fire up!

“Listen! CERO! MIEDO!” Penta KICKS and CHOPS and CHOPS again! Penta headlocks, Cash powers him to the FTR corner and Dax tags in. Cash powers out of the headlock, Fenix tags in, Penta runs Dax over! Penta baits Cash in, Fenix CROSSBODIES! Cash bails out, Fenix goes out after him, but Dax gives him an APRON BACK SUPLEX! Dax puts Fenix in to cover, TWO! Dax drags Fenix up, puts him against ropes and chokes! The ref counts, Dax lets off, but Cash and Tully choke Fenix now! The fans boo but FTR gets away with that and Dax snapmares Fenix. Tag to Cash, FTR coordinates, assisted LEG DROP! Cover, TWO!

FTR grows frustrated but Dax tags in. FTR drags Fenix up to mug him. Dax drags Fenix into a chinlock, Fenix fights for his corner but Dax DECKS him! Then he DECKS Penta! Dax goes to the corner, climbs up top, but Fenix somersaults to SHORYUKEN! Fenix GAMANGIRIS Cash, goes to the corner, jumps up and SUPER STEINERS! Both men are down and fans are fired up as AEW goes picture in picture!

A standing count begins, it climbs to 5 of 10 but Cash tags in. Cash gets between Fenix and his corner and dropkicks him down! Cash soaks up the heat, drags Fenix over and bumps him off buckles. Cash CHOPS Fenix, stands on him at the ropes, but lets off at 4. Dax gets a cheap shot in, Cash tags him in, and Dax drags Fenix up to reel him into a cobra twist. Fenix endures, Cash helps add leverage! FTR gets away with that again, and then they link up a second time! The ref still misses it, and Cash tags in as Rampage returns to single picture. Fenix fights out of the double team, but FTR double back suplex. Fenix land son his feet and leaps, but into a toss!

Fenix dodges, Dax gets buckles! Fenix dodges Cash, hot tag to Penta! SLINGBLADE for Cash! SLINGBLADE for Dax! Penta gets Dax up to whip, but Dax reverses, only for Penta to go up and over and BACKSTABBER! But Cash rolls Penta up, TWO!! Cash fireman’s carries, Penta fights free and shoves but leaps into a powerslam only to make it a cradle! TWO!! Cash gets up, Penta pump handles, MADE IN JAPAN! Cover, TWO!! Cash survives and Penta is shocked! Fans fire up as Penta gets Cash back up. Tag to Fenix, Fenix climbs and Penta reels Cash in, but Tully is on the apron! Fenix hops down to get in Tully’s face. Fenix blocks Tully’s punch, and DECKS the legend!

Fans lose their minds, Cash rushes over but Fenix GAMANGIRIS! Dax tags in, Fenix leaps over him to DOUBLE KNEE Cash! Fenix fires off forearms, somersault SUPER PUNCH! Then JUMPING SOBAT to Cash! Fenix runs at Dax again, goes up but Dax catches him to an Electric Chair, SLINGSHOT LIGER BOMB! Cover, TWO!! Fans are thunderous and Dax drags Fenix up. Fenix blocks the suplex, knees free, but Dax tries again. Fenix slips out, waistlocks, O’Conner Roll, TWO!! Fenix blocks Cash’s belt shot! The ref gets in the middle of the tug-o-war, BELT SHOT to Dax by accident!! Fenix shrugs and shouts out Latino Heat!

Fenix goes to a corner, fans are thunderous for “EDDIE! EDDIE!” Tightrope walk KICK to Cash! Fenix is on another corner, FROG SPLASH into the belt!!! Cover, TWO?!?! Fenix survives and Dax can’t believe it! Fans love “A E DUB!” “This is Awesome!” Tag to Cash, FTR drags Fenix up to double whip to a corner. Fenix BOOTS Cash back, then ROCKS Dax! Fenix goes up and up and leaps, INTO THE BIG RIG!! Cover, Penta LEAPS and BREAKS IT IN TIME!! Tully can’t believe it but fans are going nuts as all four men are down! The standing count reaches 5 of 10 but the teams regroup. Penta gets Fenix to the corner and tags himself in as FTR stands.

The Lucha Brothers stare down FTR, and FTR throw haymakers! The Lucha Brothers CHOP back! Haymaker for haymaker, forearm for forearm, Cash kicks Penta down. Dax ROCKS Fenix, but Fenix rebounds, somersaults and CUTTERS! Fenix gets up to somersault at Cash, but into Cash’s Gory Especial, GORY BOMB! Cash gets Penta up, but Penta back drops him! Then reels him in to tuck the arms! Cash fights out so Penta CLUBS him down. Cash shoves Penta at the ropes but Penta hops to sunset flip! Cash rebounds off ropes to jackknife but Penta makes that the package! Fenix is up top, LB FEAR FACTOR! Fenix DIVES to take out Dax! Penta covers, the Lucha Brothers win!!

With the Native Beast and the Runaway set to face off in the TBS Championship Tournament, the Superbad Girl and her crazy friend want to secure their promised title shots against Nyla. Will that start here tonight in Long Island? Or will Tay-Jay make sure Ruby has momentum going into the semifinals?

The trios sort out and Conti starts against Nyla. Nyla wants Ruby and Ruby wants in, so Nyla grabs Conti’s hair. Conti breaks free, Nyla shoves her down, but Conti gets up! Nyla knees low, CLUBS Conti, then tags in Bunny so they can mug Conti. Bunny talks trash, but Conti shoves her away. Bunny rushes in but into drop sayanagi after drop sayanagi, then a wrench and swinging FACEBUSTER! ROUNDHOUSE! And then Conti whips Bunny into the corner. Conti runs in to back elbow, then tag to Jay. Tay whips Jay in to elbow Bunny! Tag to Ruby, Jay whips Ruby in to back elbow! Nyla runs at Ruby but she ducks the clothesline! Ruby rolls to hot tag Jay! Jay ducks, dodges and BOOTS Nyla, then wrenches to DANGEROUS HOOK KICK! And then another! AEW returns to single picture as Jay fires off forearms and whips corner to corner, only for Nyla to reverse. Jay dodges Nyla to back elbow, FOREARM, then run. Nyla runs in, Jay sunset flips, but she avoids the sit-down! Jay runs to CROSSBODY! Cover, TWO! Jay drags Nyla up into the QUEENSLAYER! Bunny SUPERKICKS Jay! Conti spins Bunny for a TAY K O! Nyla gets Conti with a NECKBREAKER! Ruby wrenches Nyla’s arm, NO FUTURE KCIK! Ford HEEL KICKS Ruby!

Jay kicks Ford and reels her in, snap suplex! But Vickie gives Bunny the brass knuckles! The ref is busy with Ford and Ruby, Jay gets up to get the BRASS FIST! Conti TACKLES Bunny and they scrap out of the ring! Nyla drags Jay up, reels her in, BEAST BOMB! Cover, Nyla and team win!

AEW Holiday Bash is in two weeks, December 22nd, AEW goes to the Greensboro Coliseum for the first time ever. That was the building where Sting won his first world title ever, hasn’t been back since- Wait, FTR attacks!? They and Tully mug Sting, but Darby comes around to CLOBBER Dax! The brawling continues but that’s still 3v2! Cash THROWS Darby into a garage door, Tully LOW BLOWS Sting! “One more time, Sting.” Is that a warning from the legend that he and Sting settle this once and for all in Greensboro?

Hook VS Fuego Del Sol!

After Dante Martin swerved them in the Dynamite Diamond Ring Battle Royal, Team Taz has had enough! They’re finally unleashing their “secret weapon” upon AEW! Will the Son of Taz put out the Fire of the Sun, then come for Angel Dorado?

The bell rings and Long Island fires up for Hook as he and Fuego circle. They approach, tie up, and Hook wrenches, hammerlocks, trips Fuego and gets the facelock. Fuego fights up, Hook switches around, slips through all the holds and hits a BIG takeover. Fuego gets to the ropes but Hook lets off the facelock at 4. Hook gets in the ref’s face, but Fuego rolls him up! TWO, Hook shoots in to drop sayanagi! Hook manhandles Fuego, rolls through, DEEP STF!! Fuego throws elbows to get free but Hook RIDGE HAND CHOPS! Hook bumps Fuego off buckles, fires off heavy body shots and a headbutt! Hook whips but Fuego reverses to bump Hook off buckles!

Fuego whips Hook, Hook flips through the hip toss to waistlock, crotch hold and SLAM! Fans are thunderous for Hook as Taz says that’s the “El Camino” plex. Hook gets Fuego up but Fuego dropkicks him to a corner! Fuego runs in and uppercuts! Fuego goes corner to corner to RAM his shoulder in! Fuego soaks up the heat but Hook stops the tornado to TOSS Fuego! And LARIAT! Fans are loving Hook and Taz is loving it, too! Hook paces, then drags Fuego up. Hook clinches for a head-n-arm triangle SUPLEX! “The Handsome Devil” fish hooks Fuego’s nose to throw clubbing crossface forearms! The mask gets moved around, Hook body scissors, clubs and KATAHACHIME!! Fuego taps, Hook wins!!

He asks Adam Cole and his group about the return of Trent on Dynamite, so how do they expect to handle Wheeler Yuta and all of the reunited Best Friends? Cole sarcastically says, “My God, can you believe it? The Best Friends, they’re back together. They’re complete. I mean, Trent’s back.” Matt Jackson says Trent looks stupid with that haircut. And why does Rocky Romero have an eyepatch? Does he have pink eye? Cole says the Best Friends will never be on The Elite’s level. Though, Wheeler Yuta has potential. He’s just around the wrong crew. Cole promises to whoop his ass in front of all his best friends.

Yuta goes to respond but Trent speaks up first. Since he saved the day on Wednesday and he’s back, shouldn’t the promo be about him? Orange Cassidy says hold on. Tonight is about Yuta. And Cole, don’t take him so lightly. Yuta can surprise you, BAYBAY. Hey, that’s Cole’s catchphrase! You can’t do that! The Elite gets riled up but Henry says keep it under control. We’ve had enough talk, it’s time for the main event! Will the Panama City Playboy be the one getting played by The Decoder?

Adam Cole w/ Bobby Fish & The Young Bucks VS Wheeler Yuta w/ The Best Friends!

Rampage returns and the Elite make their entrance. Then Yuta and the Best Friends make their entrance, then the bell rings. They circle, tie up, and Cole powers Yuta to a corner. The ref counts, Cole pie faces but Yuta fires a forearm! Cole hits back, they brawl, Cole gets the edge and sits Yuta down in the corner. Cole whips Yuta to ropes to CLOBBER him with an elbow! Cole paces, drags Yuta up but Yuta drop steps, baits Cole, goes up then under but Cole avoids the dropkick to La Magistrol! But Yuta blocks it part way, TWO! Yuta dropkicks Cole to the corner! Yuta then runs in, into a SUPERKICK!

Cole sneers and drags Yuta up to fire forearms. Cole wrenches Yuta, whips him corner to corner hard and Yuta bounces off buckles! Cole flexes, has Yuta up in the corner and throws body shots. Cole throws more forearms, the ref counts, Yuta elbows back! Yuta goes up and CROSSBODIES, but FLOPS as Cole dodges! Cole grins and he drags Yuta up. Cole snap suplexes then takes time to talk trash to the Best Friends. Cole drags Yuta up, snapmares, and then mocks Orange Cassidy with the “devastating” kicks. Cole brings Yuta up but Yuta rolls him up, TWO! Yuta gets the arm, rolling to the ghost pin, TWO! Cole BOOTS Yuta down!

Cole JAMS his knee into Yuta’s back, and again, then clamps on a neck wrench. Yuta endures, Cole ELBOWS Yuta in the shoulder. Cole drags Yuta up, fireman’s carries, USHIGOROSHI! Cole dusts off his hands and listens to his friends about how to further bully Yuta. Cole throws Yuta out to the Best Friends and then dares Cassidy to do something. Cassidy takes his sunglasses while Chuck Taylor checks on Yuta. Trent watches the Bucks closely, Cassidy stares Cole down. Fans rally up for Yuta and Cole brings him up on the apron. Yuta HOTSHOTS Cole, then runs in at the corner, but Cole fakes him out to mule kick the leg!

Cole hops up the corner, but Yuta denies the Panama Sunrise and sits on it! TWO, Yuta back elbows! Yuta goes up, fakes Cole out then CROSSBODIES! Both men are down and fans rally up! Yuta gets up, dodges Cole and dropkicks him down! Then atomic drop, ENZIGURI, and Yuta runs in to FOREARM SMASH! He pushes Cole out, goes up top, and FLYING LARIATS! Cover, TWO! Yuta fires up and fans rally. Yuta waistlocks, Cole blocks and PELES! Yuta rewinds, ducks around and GERMAN SUPLEXES! Bridging cover, TWO! The Elite panic but the Best Friends rally for Yuta as he climbs! Cole ROCKS Yuta with a forearm first!

Cole climbs up, but Yuta blocks the superplex and throws body shots! Yuta fires forearms, Cole falls down! Yuta leaps, Cole gets under, Yuta comes back to spin and torture rack, INCOLLE SLAM! Cover, TWO! Yuta hurries to a corner and climbs back up! FLYING SPLASH onto knees!! Cole SUPERKICKS, then he sits Yuta up while staring Cassidy down. Cole brings down the kneepad, aims at Cassidy but gives the BOOM to Yuta! Cover, Cole wins!

The Elite is relieved, Cole just sent a message to Cassidy. Best Friends get in the ring to protect Yuta and now there’s a standoff between the factions. Bobby Fish drags Trent out to ROUNDHOUSE him down! The rest of the Elite mugs the Best Friends, Cutler uses his cold spray on Yuta’s face! Cole stands on Cassidy’s neck, the Bucks throw Chuck out! Then they throw Rocky out! And then they throw Yuta out! The Bucks mug Cassidy, and set him up for Cole as Cole climbs! PANAMA LOW BLOW for Freshly Squeezed! The Elite kicks Cassidy out, and they drag Trent in! Fans boo but the Super Kliq has Trent set up for the TRIPLE B T E TRIGGER!!! Trent just got back, but did the Elite just send him back to the shelf?

My Thoughts:

A great Rampage, especially with four matches. The AEW World Tag Team Championship opening was a little bit of a surprise but what an awesome match. I figured Lucha Brothers would retain, it would be too much for FTR to become the first-ever two-time AEW World Tag Team Champions on top of double tag champions. There are a lot of teams that still need to challenge for the belts, and could become first-time champions before two-time champions are crowned. But FTR moves on to settle things with Sting & Darby, that is going to be a really good much for AEW Holiday Bash 2021. The Six Woman Tag was really good, and the Heels winning surely means Ruby wins in the tournament.

Hook had a great debut, and I like that Taz was there to give really good play by play, knowing a lot of move names that most I just couldn’t keep up with. Hook of course wins, fans in Long Island loved him, and I have a feeling he’s going to have an awesome match against Dante Martin in the near future. Then we got a very good main event out of Cole VS Yuta, but I figured Cole would win. We’re definitely getting Cole VS Cassidy, maybe for the Holiday Bash, and after tonight, we’ll definitely see Best Friends, Trent & Chuck, return to tag team action against the Young Bucks.
