Tony Schiavone interviews Team Taz.

Ricky Starks and Will Hobbs made sure to have this outside at Edgewater Lake, but why? Hobbs tells Schiavone to man up. Then Hobbs calls out Dante Martin. Every dog has its lucky day, and that’s what Dante got with his win over Hobbs. But that’s all it was. Let’s go again one more time, Dante VS Hobbs III. And Starks calls out Jay Lethal, saying Lethal had his week off and he better have enjoyed it. Starks was putting in work, but don’t think he’d forgotten that challenge. The Pinnacle’s powerhouse, and his accountabilibuddy, have been doing MJF’s dirty work, but now Wardlow will do this on his own! Cleveland cheers on their own Mr. Mayhem, and Wardlow has Spears stay on stage. Will there be powerbombs o’ plenty for The Land?

Six Man Tag: The Inner Circle VS Daniel Garcia & 2point0!

Chris Jericho may not be a fan of Eddie Kingston’s, but Santana & Ortiz want him to show Kingston and them some respect. Will the Proud ‘n’ Powerful get that respect when they tear through Red Dead and #TheShow again? Or will they and Le Champion end up sidelined just like the Mad King?

Cleveland sings Judas for Jericho, and Jericho fires up for it. The trios sort out, Jericho insists on starting, and Matt Lee eggs him on. They circle, but then Santana tags himself in! Ortiz endures, Jericho rallies the fans, Ortiz pops out to a cover! TWO, and Garcia CLOBBERS Ortiz! Cover, ONE! Garcia stays between Ortiz and the Inner Circle to then stomp Ortiz down. Tag to Lee, they mug Ortiz, and Lee whips Ortiz . Ortiz sunset flips, Lee stays up to tag Parker! Lee traps Ortiz and Parker STOMPS him down! Parker drags Ortiz up to hit a BACKBREAKER! Whether Santana & Ortiz realize, Jericho did have their back! But he says if they’re going to ice him out, then fine. He flips them off and walks away. Is the Inner Circle breaking apart at the seams?

AEW hears from Jake the Snake, Lance Archer, and Hangman Page.

Jake says, “Time is running out, Cowboy, until the truth comes home.” The Murderhawk Monster says, “When we fight, it’s not gonna be any normal fight. It’s gonna be MY fight. It’s gonna be a Texas Deathmatch, and I’m gonna make sure you are not breathing.” But Hangman says, “I said I wanted a challenger, and damn, it looks like I got a good one. Adam Page VS Lance Archer for the AEW World Championship.” But when hearing it’s a Texas Deathmatch, Hangman is a bit shocked. If that’s what Archer wants, fine! In two weeks, #EverybodyDies, so Archer can go ahead and give him the Blackout and choke slam him to the abyss. Because Hangman will crawl back out of all nine levels and bring hell with him when he does. Will these two shed blood, sweat and tears all for the gold?

Schiavone interviews both Jurassic Express and Private Party.

And that includes having Captain Charisma and Big Money Matt with them. Marq Quen & Isiah Kassidy are now the #1 contenders in the AEW Tag Division, so they’re getting their shot this Friday on Rampage. Christian Cage says, “When you’re the champs, when you’re on top, when you’re the number one team, everybody, and I mean everybody, is vying for you.” We saw it already with Gunn Club, the Ass Family, attacked him for no reason.

But Matt Hardy says on one cares about Christian or the Ass Boys. Everyone cares about Private Party. Kassidy adds, “FACTS.” They’re the most athletic and talented team in AEW. FACTS. Private Party is the hottest team since Matt & Jeff Hardy. FACTS. And this Friday, it is Private Party’s time to become AEW Tag Team Champions. FACTS. Jungle Boy points out Kassidy’s watch is fake. And see you on Rampage. Will Kassidy & Quen at least have real titles around their waists? Or will Jurassic Express make them extinct?

CM Punk heads to the ring!

And though he isn’t scheduled for a match, he’s got his hands taped up for a fight! Cleveland sings Cult of Personality for for the Best in the World and he soaks it in. Punk then gets the mic to say, “Hello, Cleveland, how’s everybody doing tonight? Man, I tried to walk out here like a badass, and you guys just make me smile from ear to ear. It’s been a minute since I’ve been here, but… Are you sick of hearing me talk yet?” the fans say no, but Punk says he’s sick of talking. He’s got the long boys on, his hands are taped up, this is Dynamite! LIVE! And we all know who he wants to fight! Chant his name, it’ll be the first time anyone did. “MJF! MJF!”

First and last time that chant happens. And last week, Punk got himself a souvenir. Surprise, he is wearing MJF’s favorite scarf. No, it doesn’t look good on him, it doesn’t look good on anyone. For just a heartbeat, Punk thought that when he grabbed the scarf while it was around MJF’s skinny neck, he could challenge MJF to a match. Maybe this scarf meant something to MJF. But after a quick Google, turns out you can get a 12 pack for $5 on Amazon. It’s as cheap as MJF’s personality. Punk looked further, and it said, “Made in Long Island.” So Punk immediately knew it wasn’t made of strong material.

Punk is sick of talking about it, of hearing MJF talk, so he needs MJF in the ring. Punk owes Cleveland one, so maybe they can have this tonight! But Punk’s realistic, and if he calls MJF out, MJF will come out in a cheap suit that doesn’t fit with every excuse in the world. Punk’s chased MJF all over, too. From out the ring, up the concourse, down the steps, back into the ring. He’s gone through FTR, Wardlow, Shawn Spears, there’s no one left! Punk wants MJF now! Well here comes MJF! MJF has a new scarf, same pattern though, and Punk calls to cut the music before MJF can call for it. Fans chant, “You Suck!”

Oh, MJF sucks? “YES!” So then they don’t’ want to see MJF VS Punk? Then they do want to see him? So he has to go change into his gear in an impromptu main event? Cleveland, he knows you’re dumb, but he didn’t know they’re deaf. Do they want to see them wrestle here tonight?! “YES!” Then his answer is NO! Are they outta their minds?! Do you think MJF would waste one of the most historical match-ups on Cleveland? This place is disgusting! It’s a cesspool! No, MJF will do us one better. Fans call MJF an A-Hole first. But MJF says the match we’ve all been waiting for will happen next week in Chicago, Punk VS… MJF muddles it over, and says M J F!!

But but but! That’s next week. This is crappy Cleveland. This is a place rich in historical significance of Punk’s career. But Punk VS MJF is a dream match, one people have grown impatient. Fans want it right now, frothing at the mouth even. They want it! At least, they think they do. Fans tell MJF to STFU but MJF says that while the match itself will be spectacular, it is the outcome that will be very upsetting. MJF says he will win in the dumpster fire of Punk’s hometown, and the MID-west, and after that, something unsettling will happen. After MJF wins, people will finally see the “real” CM Punk.

The CM Punk who loses the fake smile the second he doesn’t get what he wants. The CM Punk who blames all of his failures on everyone else but himself. The CM Punk who, when he feels like he hasn’t gotten his just due, he’s more than willing to sue. That same hero who claimed on his almighty return, 8/13/2005, “I left pro-wrestling,” then 8/20/2021, “I’m back.” Now he’ll say, “I’m leaving wrestling again.” Oh, MJF, he would never leave us! He loves us! Didn’t Cleveland say that about LeBron? Last time MJF checked, it was a slap in the face back in 2005, cuz that ain’t the truth!

Punk left all the fans who supported him, when he was supposed to show up here in Cleveland back in 2014. Punk no-showed and turned his back on each and every one of us. What makes fans think he won’t do it again?! Even those at home! Does Punk give a damn that fans chanted his name at the top of his lungs? Fans chant it now, but MJF says newsflash, “All those chants aren’t going to stop him from turning his back on you again, and then crying about it on a podcast.” MJF smirks but Punk says MJF must’ve listened to that podcast as a fan. “The next two things I say are not mutually exclusive: The best thing I ever did was leave; the best thing I ever did was come back.”

And if Punk didn’t come back, MJF wouldn’t have the brush with greatness he’s currently having. No go to the back, lace up those three inch lifts, and get in the ring to handle business! We know MJF can’t, Punk knows MJF can’t, MJF knows he can’t, and CLEVELAND knows MJF can’t! MJF turns around but Punk says, “Poor little Maxwell, sitting at home, watching his hero on television, too prepubescent to realize the athletes he watches on television are human beings. Sometimes, you gotta take matters into your own hands, and that’s what I’ve always done. I’ve never lied to the people. Some of them love me, some of them hate me. That’s what life is.

“But I would rather be me and I would rather try and fail, than be you and talk a big game and never show up.” MJF paid to see Punk, stood in line to get Punk’s picture, stood in line to get an autograph, so how dare he put this on the people? Punk stands by every decision he’s made. Fans don’t love or hate Punk for winning or losing, but because he gets back up and tries, and fights, just like they do! Oh, he always gets back up? Well, okay, let’s test that real quick. MJF is taking off his Dynamite Diamond Ring, but he has The Pinnacle walking up behind him! FTR and Wardlow are on stage, but Spears gets in the ring! Spears tackles Punk and the mugging is on!

Fans boo as the Pinnacle stomps away on Punk, then stand Punk up. Spears has the chair, and JAMS Punk in the gut! Cash Wheeler takes back the scarf, and then he and Dax Harwood stretch Punk out. Spears SMACKS Punk on the back! MJF has a slimy grin as Cash uses the scarf to drag Punk up. MJF mocks Punk, “How you get up now, you dumb sonova-” Punk grabs MJF’s new scarf!! MJF freaks out but Spears and FTR CLOBBER Punk again! MJF wants Wardlow to finish this with a powerbomb! Spears and Cash get Punk up for Wardlow and set him up. Spears even puts his chair down for a target!

Wardlow reluctantly drags Punk up, gets him up, POWERBOMB on the chair! Wardlow does the job MJF pays him to do, and MJF sits on Punk’s chest cross legged. “It is so apropos that the same place your journey started will be the same place it ends. I’ll see you in Chicago!!” MJF mocks Punk’s night night pose, but will the Best in the World get back up to make sure MJF doesn’t?

The Acclaimed speak.

Max Caster says Jon Moxley, the first time they wrestled him, he jumped them before the bell. Next time, he did it after. Now, Mox is back and everyone’s so happy. But so are they, because on Rampage, Bowens will beat Moxley’s ass. Bowens will beat Moxley’s Al Bundy lookin’ ass all over his home state of Ohio! Mic drop! Star wipe. Will the Five Tool Player follow through on all these promises? Or will he suffer a Paradigm Shift?

Schiavone interviews Griff Garrison & Julia Hart.

A lot has been going on for the Varsity Blonds and the House of Black. But before Julia can talk about that, Mark Sterling walks in. Mark has a neck brace from that brainbuster John Silver gave him on Rampage, but he asks Julia how her eye is doing. And also, Jade Cargill has personally chosen her to be her next TBS Championship challenger. But they’re going to need her to sign a release form because of her bad eye. Griff says that’s not a good idea. She needs time to recover. Julia says she can fight her own battles. She signs on the dotted line, and Mark says she should make sure to cross the T’s and dot the I’s. No pun intended.

But the match is made! Will Julia be able to defeat the undefeated Jade Cargill when she only has one good eye?

Leyla Hirsch VS Red Velvet!

Not only is this a battle of the top two ranked contenders in the Women’s Division, but this is a battle of former friends! Leyla #LEGIT burned a bridge when she couldn’t forgive Kris Statlander, and her frustration has branched out to Velvet. Will Leyla take the top spot away from Velvet? Or will The Chef serve up an L on a silver platter?

Velvet wastes no time, running down the ramp to slide into the ring and TACKLE Leyla! The bell rings, Velvet rains down fists! Hirsch gets free, things speed up, and CALF KICK turns into leglock! But Velvet kicks Hirsch away to CALF KICK after all! Velvet gets Hirsch up but Hirsch gets away before the Final Slice can be served! Hirsch laughs it off but Velvet eggs her on. So Hirsch drags Velvet out to RAM her into the apron! Hirsch RAMS Velvet into railing, then drags her up to whip at the apron. Velvet stops herself, ROCKS Hirsch then LARIATS! The ring count is 5 of 10, Velvet puts Hirsch in at 7.

Hirsch shoulders out but into an AX KICK! Velvet handsprings over to then KNEE Hirsch, and HOTSHOT STUNNER into the splits! Velvet stomps Hirsch down, then drags her into an ARMBAR! Hirsch won’t let Velvet use her signature against her, but then Velvet shifts to a TRIANGLE HOLD! Hirsch powers up to deadlift Velvet, and BUCKLE BOMB her! Hirsch is free, she sets Velvet’s arm up to dropkick it against ropes! Fans rally up while AEW goes picture in picture.

Hirsch stomps Velvet into the corner, then pulls on the arm! The ref counts, Hirsch lets off, and then Hirsch digs her boot in. The ref counts, Hirsch lets off again, drags Velvet up, and suplexes high and hard! Cover, ONE!! Hirsch is annoyed so she stomps Velvet down. Hirsch drags Velvet up, RAMS her into buckles, then flexes while Velvet clutches the bad arm. Hirsch drags Velvet around to choke her on the ropes! Hirsch counts along and lets off at 4. Hirsch slaps Velvet around, CLUBS her down, then hammerlocks the bad arm to drop knees on the shoulder. Cover, TWO! Hirsch tortures the bad arm but Velvet endures.

Velvet fights up, throws body shots, but Hirsch SLAPS her! That just angers Velvet and she SLAPS back! Velvet runs, wheelbarrows, but Hirsch makes it a GERMAN SUPLEX! Velvet flounders, Hirsch drags her back to center, and she pulls some of the KT tape off! Hirsch stomps the shoulder again and again, pulls more tape away, then stomps again! Hirsch sits Velvet up to KNEE her in the back! Hirsch puts Velvet in a corner, clotheslines point blank, and AEW returns to single picture. Hirsch whips corner to corner, Velvet goes up and leaps, FLYING STUNNER! Both women are down and fans rally up!

A standing count starts, Velvet and Hirsch slowly rise. Velvet roars and rallies with lariats from the good arm! Hirsch runs in, a drop toehold puts her on ropes! Velvet runs, DOUBLE KNEES to the back! Velvet clutches the bad arm, runs again, wheelbarrow, but Hirsch blocks again! Velvet pries free but Hirsch CLUBS the bad arm! Waistlock, GERMAN, but Velvet lands on her feet! Velvet ducks and dodges to SPEAR! Cover, TWO! Velvet drags Hirsch right up, reels her in, FINAL- NO! Hirsch pops Velvet up to POWERBOMB, and LEGIT KNEE!! Cover, TWO, but to the LEGIT ARMBAR!! Velvet reaches out, ROPEBREAK!

Hirsch holds on, but lets go at 4! Hirsch is frustrated, but she runs in to BOOT WASH Velvet in the corner! Hirsch then YANKS Velvet right up, but Velvet sunset flips! Hirsch rolls through, steps through, but Velvet cradles! TWO, Velvet kicks the legs out, says it’s done, but spins into a roll-up! With tights! Hirsch wins!!

Winner: Leyla Hirsch, by pinfall

That was a win, but it wasn’t legit! She cheated Velvet, and then sucker punches her anyway! LEGIT ARMBAR!! Velvet taps but it doesn’t change anything! But here comes Kris Statlander! The Galaxy’s Greatest Alien runs Hirsch off then checks on

Malakai Black speaks.

“It is as Mr. Rhodes said. I added insult to injury. Why? Because the House is built on conflict. What better way to give an audience that constantly demands conflict and violence the embodiment of violence and conflict in one Brody King? One that you will embrace as a brother. You will hold him in your arms and you will whisper in his ears that you are thankful for him.” Brody King steps up from the shadows and tells Pac that he denounced the House. For that, he will be humbled. Pac and Death Triangle will feel true pain. They will pray for salvation, and they will look to the teachings the House has bestowed upon them, and say thanks. “Because just like death…” “We are inevitable.”

Sammy Guevara returns for a cue card promo.

Fuego helps him out as AEW goes picture in picture. “Tonight, I stand before you. Beaten. Battered. Bruised. But not defeated! Tonight, I am a champion! A true pillar of this company. I climbed the ladder in that ring, the same way I climbed the ladder in this company! I didn’t politic! I didn’t brown-nose! Instead… I ‘did the work’ over 2 years, over 100 episodes. I have gone from a supporting role to becoming a key player! But it wasn’t just me. Whether it’s the people here in Cleveland, Ohio, or the people watching at home on TBS, you have been with me every step of the way. This TNT Championship is not just mine. It’s OURS! I wouldn’t be here without you. Thank you.”

Sincerely, Sammy Guevara, the UNDISPUTED TNT Champion!

Schiavone is in the ring.

Dynamite is single picture again as a lot of awards are on display. Schiavone says we’re here to bring in not only a champion, but to celebrate the most decorated woman in the company, Dr. Britt Baker, DMD! The AEW Women’s World Champion has her Pittsburgh Penguins gear just to rub it all in Cleveland’s face, and then she hugs Schiavone before being handed the mic. “Cleveland! It’s been awhile since we had a little chat. It’s actually been awhile since I’ve been in the ring with a mic period, which is criminal.” But just because she’s been a stranger to the mic, that doesn’t mean the mic isn’t acclimated to her.

Because it felt like for awhile there, that every time CM Punk or MJF had this in their hands, they couldn’t keep her name out of their mouths. But she doesn’t blame them. Look at the year she’s had. Look! Pro-Wrestling Illustrated’s 2021 Match of the Year, Most Improved of the Year, Female Wrestler of the Year, and a cover girl. The list goes on and on. 2021 was the Era of the DMD, and damn was she right! And since the night that Britt won the title, she has had nine singles victories. Cleveland, you and Britt share a relationship with that number. Because against her Steelers, Mayfield got sacked NINE TIMES.

Oh wait, Mayfield was hurt. In the non-throwing arm. Britt did all this with a broken freakin’ wrist. But enough about Mayfield, let’s talk about the Baker that actually wins! The Women’s Division was a wasteland before her, and now it is a utopia. A #Brittopia, even. Anyone could’ve made this division theirs, but no one did. But Britt didn’t take anyone’s spot, she created the top spot! And after she took over the entire thing, she surpassed the entire ROSTER to become the face of AEW! She’s been making history since her first day. The first female signed to AEW, the first female to main event Dynamite, Rampage, and a bunch of other things she can’t even remember.

And Britt stands here today, voted by the fans, Female Wrestler of the Year. They’re writing history together because Cleveland made the history books against the Steelers. TEN incompletions! What a guy that Mayfield. Britt tells Cleveland that she is here for them. She won’t just settle as Female Wrestler of the Year. She won’t settle until she’s Female of the DECADE. Give it to her now, she ain’t going away BAYBAY. And she said it once, she’ll say it again: she will be the champion you deserve. Cleveland finally has a Baker they can count on! Yours Truly, Dr. Britt Baker, DMD. Mic drop! But will Britt be in for a rude awakening soon enough as the top five sorts itself out?

Vickie Guerrero shrieks, “EXCUSE ME~!”

She can be heard before she stands on stage… Then she hands the mic to Nyla Rose. “I should be the TBS Champion, and there is only one reason that I’m not! Ruby Soho! Ruby Soho got a fluke victory on me! If we wrestled 100 times, I would win 99 times!” She wants RUBY! The Vicious Vixens storm off, will the Native Beast avenge her TBS Championship tournament loss? Or will the Runaway run away with another win over Nyla?

Lights Out: Adam Cole VS Orange Cassidy!

A 1v1 on Rampage didn’t end this. A huge tag match of Super Kliq VS Best Friends didn’t end this. And the Mixed Tag Match last week only escalated this when karma bit Britt and she fell through the table she and Cole brought over! Will the Panama City Playboy finally put this to rest when there’s nothing holding him back? Or will Freshly Squeezed hit a Beach Break on Beach Break to turn Cole’s lights out?

The bell rings and Cole glares at Cassidy as he takes this all casually. Cassidy BREAKS his own sunglasses to get serious, and they fire off fast hands! Fans fir up, the two let off, but then they come back for more! Cole throws Cassidy out but Cassidy lands on his feet. Cody stomps what’s left of the glasses, then he goes out, only for Cassidy to whip him into barriers! Cassidy gets space, raises his hands, and puts them in his pockets! Then he runs in, to SHOTGUN Cole into the railing! Cole crawls, Cassidy follows and fans rally for Freshly Squeezed. Cassidy whips Cole but Cole reverses and Cassidy crashes into railing!

Cole drags Cassidy up, and gives him a back suplex on the railing! Cole looks under the ring, and he brings out a- DANHAUSEN!? ROH’s own is here from Someplace Far Away, and he points at Cole! Cole shouts at him to get out of here, but then Danhausen gives a lazy thumbs up! Cole swings his chair at Cassidy but misses and hits post! Cassidy runs in, tilt-o-whirl DDT to the floor! Fans are loving everything about this, and even Cassidy is confused to see Danhausen here. Cassidy gets the chair, but Cole mule kicks him and Cassidy hits chair on the way down! Cassidy sputters, gets up, Cole BOOTS him down!

Cole drags Cassidy up, POSTS him, then gest up on the apron. PANAM- NO! Alabama lift, but no Beach Break yet! Cole CLUBS Cassidy, but Cassidy TACKLES Cole through the timekeeper’s table! Fans rally up, but Cole grabs something. Cassidy powers up, runs in, but Cole uses the ring bell as a shield! Cassidy clutches his fist, but Cole RAMS Cassidy into steel steps! Cole drags Cassidy up, puts his hand between steps and ring, then BOOTS the steps! Fans are torn as Cole soaks it all up. Cole mocks Cassidy’s pain, then goes looking under the ring. Cole brings out a trash can, puts that in the ring, then puts a steel chain in the ring.

Cole looks around, brings out more chairs, and Cassidy clutches his hand as AEW goes picture in picture. Cole takes his time walking back to fetch Cassidy but the ref wants him to let off while he checks on Cassidy’s arm. Cole puts the trash can’s lid in the ring, goes back for Cassidy and brings him up. Cole puts Cassidy in, gets a chair, and he waits for Cassidy to stand. Cole then JAMS Cassidy in the gut! Cole sits the chair up, and takes a seat to fish hook Cassidy’s face! Cole then lets off to sit back and smirk. Cole gets the trash can, puts it around Cassidy, and SUPERKICKS him down! Cole grins as he’s having some fun now.

Cole gets the steel chain and wraps his hands up with it. He lassos Cassidy into a BACKSTABBER! Cole talks trash, drags Cassidy up nd throws him out. Cassidy stays on the apron thanks to the chain, but Cole snatches that away. Cole kicks Cassidy to the floor, then gloats as he paces around. Cole clears some space, goes to fetch Cassidy, but gets BLASTED with the fire extinguisher! Cassidy drags himself back in while Cole blindly flounders about. AEW returns to single picture, Cole and Cassidy tug-o-war for the chain! Cole reels Cassidy in, GHOSTBUSTER! Cover, TWO! Cole sets chairs up closely together, suplexes, but STUN-DOG MILLIONAIRE!

Cassidy scoops to MICHINOKU DRIVER Cole on the chairs! Cover, TWO!! Both men are down, Cassidy shakes out the bad hand as it has some blood coming from it. Cole and Cassidy are on opposite ends, Cassidy runs in, into a SUPERKICK! Cassidy flounders out of the ring, Cole calls to his friends! Out comes Brandon Cutler?! But Wheeler Yuta CLOBBERS the cold spray butt monkey! Only for Bobby Fish to fire off on Yuta! So Chuck Taylor attacks Fish! Chuck TOSSES Fish into railing! But the Young Bucks DOUBLE SUPERKICK Chuckie T! The Super Kliq get in the ring to aim at Cassidy, but Trent and Rocky drag the Bucks out!

Roppongi Vice is here and they brawl with Matt & Nick Jackson! Cole turns around, Cassidy Alabama lifts, BEACH BREAK!! Cover, TWO!!! Cole survives so Cassidy throws off the armband! Cassidy is all fired up and Cleveland is fired up with him! ORANGE PUNCH!! But the bad hand!! Cassidy clutches the hand that he might’ve broken on Cole’s face! Cassidy gets Cole up, LOW BLOW!! But wait, Cole got hurt?! Cassidy reveals he had a CUP!! With tacks on it!! Cassidy fires off “devastating” shin kicks, and then Cassidy hops up the corner! Hands up, but into finger guns! Cassidy steals PANAMA SUNRISE!! Cover, TWO?!!?

No one can believe Cole survived but Cassidy gets the chain! “This is Awesome!” but far from over! Cassidy wraps his bad hand in the chain!? Cole bails out to avoid that one! Cole doesn’t want anything more to do with this, but Cassidy pursues! No count-outs in Lights Out so Cole can’t just run away! Cassidy ROCKS Cole with a punch, they go down to gorilla where Tony Khan and Jerry Lynn are. Cole uses Jerry as a shield, then he fireman’s carries Cassidy< DEATH VALLEY through the table! Cover, TWO!! Guess Lights Out are Falls Count Anywhere, too. But Cole is furious, and he drags Cassidy up to throw more forearms.

They go back up the steps to the stage, Cole pushes Cassidy to SUPERKICK him! Cassidy sits up, Cole brings down the kneepad. But Cassidy springs up to SUPERKICK back! Cassidy has the chain again, wraps that hand up, but Cole CLOBBERS Cassidy with one of the stage lights! Cassidy is dazed, Cole drags him over to the tunnel. Cole grins and he goes around the way. Cole climbs the steel truss! He laughs with a mad look in his eyes! Cole stands atop the tunnel, takes aim, but wait, where’d Cassidy go? Cassidy is right behind him!! LOW BLOW! And Cole wasn’t wearing a cup! Cassidy might be the angriest he’s ever been in his whole life!

Cassidy raises his hands, to HUG Cole?! But then both Cole and Cassidy look down below. Cole freaks out, there’s no way! But yes, Cassidy brings Cole with him, SUPER SIDE EFFECT through the stage!!! Fans are losing their minds, Cassidy covers, AND WINS!!

Winner: Orange Cassidy, by pinfall

Freshly Squeezed is freshly vindicated! And he gives a bloody thumbs up! Beach Break might’ve just broken Cassidy and Cole, but will this be the end of the feud between them?

My Thoughts:

What an awesome Dynamite! Opening with the ladder match was a great move, it had a lot of time to breathe and it was a true epic for that reason. That was practically a PPV match right there. Cody felt so close to going Heel here, especially with Fuego coming out to argue with Cody about how far he was going with Sammy. Sammy winning was a huge shock but also an amazing moment for him. He had a good cue card promo to follow up, and Sammy is now a two-time TNT Champion, so I can’t wait to see what he does with his second reign. And I also can’t wait to see how Cody’s story goes now that he’s without this title and still barred from the top title.

Speaking of titles, good promo from Starks and Hobbs, and great matches set up. Starks VS Lethal for the FTW title is going to be a lot of fun, but hopefully has a clean finish since Hobbs will be busy with Dante and Hook… Well, Hook just does what he wants. I also like that Jade is being a proactive fighting champion, even if she is choosing opponents she’s very confident about beating. Anna Jay aside because that was rankings compelling the match, Jade chose Skye Blue and she chose one-eye Julia Hart. I did like Julia showed some attitude to Griff, even though Griff was just thinking of her best interest. It is a sign that Julia’s been changed by being misted by Malakai.

And speaking of Malakai, he and Brody King had a really good promo. Them staying on Julia Hart to see her go “Oh my God” was good, cuz it also teases her joining them. House of Black VS PAC & Penta is going to be awesome stuff, and a great way for House of Black to build in the tag division. They’re number 5 right now, but will surely reach the top spot very quickly. We got a good promo out of Jurassic Express, Christian and the AHFO. Their tag title match is going to be great stuff for Rampage, and another big win for Jurassic Express. It’s going to be like irresistible force VS immovable object by the time we get Jurassic Express VS House of Black.

The Six Man Tag was really good, and the Inner Circle did a great job playing up the tension within the group. It was also a great bit of booking to have Jericho help out on the sly so that the team wins, and it was a great character play that Jericho didn’t get high and mighty about it but was instead more dismissive and left. I am really wondering where this goes, but it mostly just has to lead to Santana & Ortiz getting in on the tag title hunt. And we got another good promo from Jake, Archer and Hangman. A Texas Deathmatch for the world title is going to be amazing! It’ll definitely raise the game on Hangman’s reign.

Seems Moxley is going to be on a string of matches against one half of various tag teams. He’s definitely defeating Bowens on Rampage, but it’ll be a great singles showing for Bowens. Nyla had a good, straightforward promo to call out Ruby Soho, and that’ll be another really good match. Leyla VS Velvet was a really good match, too, and Leyla turned up the Heel with the roll-up. Statlander naturally makes the save, Statlander VS Hirsch is coming and it’ll be great. Britt had a great segment to just put herself over, over and over again. They are giving us almost too slow a burn to revisiting Britt VS Rosa, Rosa VS Mercedes hasn’t happened yet, the pacing is weird.

Then we got awesome stuff involving Punk and the Pinnacle. Wardlow destroys two opponents at once, and his character stuff during the Punk beatdown was great. Punk and MJF had another great promo battle, with probably more actual substance from MJF this time than the other times. Punk getting beat up is going to be what makes him the underdog in next week’s match, and then that means he’ll likely win. And last but far from least, that Lights Out main event! Cole can do no wrong, Cassidy can do no wrong, so together they gave us another PPV level match. Beach Break was basically a Free-Per-View on TV cuz of how it was sandwiched by two awesome matches.

Cassidy winning was a great surprise, I thought it was going to be Cole again. And aside from Roppongi Vice VS Bucks still to come, this basically allows Super Kliq and Best Friends to move on from each other, until perhaps title stories bring them all back around.

My Score: 9.1/10
