NOAH to participate in Zero1, Shinjiro Otani challenges Takashi Sugiura

Takashi Sugiura made a successful defense of the ZERO1 World Heavyweight on the 6th March against Takuya Sugawara. After the match he was challenged by Shinjiro Otani who told him that no matter what he would win, even if he was injured, even if there was no hope and even if he had to be reckless. Sugiura (looking puzzled) told Otani that all he wanted from him was to come to the ring in good condition. It should be mentioned that Otani has been absent from the ring due to a forearm injury. The match will take place on the 10th April at Ossu PREMIUM ~ ZERO1 20th Anniversary & 21st Anniversary Grand Meeting”, also on the card will be;

• Naomichi Marufuji & Shoki Kitamura vs Shuji Kondo & Daiki Inaba
• (Shoki Kitamura asked Naomichi Marufuji to team with him on social media, we may also see a tag challenge in ZERO1)
• Takuya Sugawara, Jason Lee & Andy Wu vs Perros Del Mal De Japon (NOSAWA Rongai, Ikuto Hidaka and Super Crazy)

Perros Del Mal had turned up by video link at the ZERO1 event on the 6th, but they weren’t the only surprise as Yoshiki Inamura vs Masato Tanaka was also added to the card. Tanaka won, but admitted afterwards that he was finding it harder and harder to keep up with and beat Inamura. After the match he had also extended his hand to him, and said “If you want to do more, shake hands now.” Inamura shook, and they will clash again in NOAH on the 30th March.

Perros keep their pre match winning streak

After destroying YO-HEY and Daisuke Harada with Eita, NOSAWA got a singles match with YO-HEY at the N Innovation on March 5th. Despite the constant knee attacks, YO-HEY held out for as long as he could, but worn down he had no choice but to tap. This makes two wins for NOSAWA and Perros. Kotaro Suzuki, who YO-HEY will face in a singles on the 13th at “Great Voyage in Yokohama”, has vowed to destroy him.

ELSEWHERE IN NOAH

– Yoshiki Inamura is going digital…

– After Daisuke Harada was talking about the usual on Twitter i.e. not being outdone by the heavyweights, NOAH Junior night at Sumo Hall. Eita sub-tweeted with “Yeah, yeah…you can say that to me when I beat you”, Harada returned with “I’ll beat you and say it in front of you to your face”

– Alejandro (formerly Aleja) debuted his new name, white NOAH Junior green ring wear, and white and Emerald green mask, and Tadasuke complained that “Alejandro” wasn’t easy to say.

– Takashi Sugiura revealed that Hideki Suzuki’s nickname is “Su”, this goes with Sakuraba (“Saku”) and himself “Sugi”. Naomichi Marufuji, who Misawa (and Jumbo Tsuruta) called “Fujimaru”, calls Sugi either “Sugi-chan” or “Gisu”.

– Daiki Inaba and Kaito Kiyomiya gave us a little preview of what they will be like as a team, and it doesn’t always involve playing by the rules which is something new for the pair of them.

– Junta Miyawaki was bloodied following an attack with the belt by STINGER. The ring took so long to clean afterwards that Yoshinari Ogawa’s theme music was played multiple times. Never before have the lyrics “I bleed, Scum of The Earth” been so apt. Miyawaki has vowed to grow stronger, Daisuke Harada has sworn revenge.
