AEW TNT Championship: Wardlow VS Orange Cassidy w/ Best Friends!

This is the first defense of Mayhem Era, and you can bet Wardlow will not take this lightly! Will Wardlow’s freshly minted red ‘n’ black belt stay with him? Or will this title end up Freshly Squeezed for Fyter Fest?

The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and tonight, this is war!

Fans rally for “WARD~LOW!” Cassidy “pumps” himself up and flexes, and calls for a test of strength. Wardlow obliges, but then Cassidy puts up both hands, to put them in his pockets! Wardlow grabs Cassidy by his arms, and carefully brings the hands out. The pockets end up turned inside-out, and Wardlow RIPS them away! Cassidy stares at Wardlow as he brings the straps down and flexes back. They step to each other, and Cassidy puts Wardlow’s straps back up for him! Fans cheer as Cassidy flexes again. Wardlow nods and swings but Cassidy dodges to tilt-o-whirl, but Wardlow powers out! Wardlow kicks low and he reels Cassidy in!

Cassidy slips out, rolls back, but Wardlow dodges. Cassidy runs, ducks ‘n’ dodges, tilt-o-whirls, but Wardlow cartwheels through!? Fans fire up and Cassidy is shocked! Cassidy says his eye is bothering him and wait, Trent goes after a buckle pad! The Best Friends are trying to help Cassidy by any means necessary, but this is rather obvious. Oh, because this is really a distraction for Chuck to bring out a CHAINSAW! But then the ref sees that, too! The ref takes the saw away, and tells Chuck and Trent they’re EJECTED! So much for their plan. ORANGE PU- NO, Wardlow blocks it! Cassidy fires off the shin kicks, but they do nothing! Well, actually, that’s normal.

Wardlow backs Cassidy down to the ropes, but the ref has him back off. SWEET SHIN MUSIC! Wardlow is just annoyed, and he rushes at Cassidy, only to be dumped out! Cassidy builds speed and DIVES, into Wardlow’s arms! POP-UP, but Cassidy slips off! Cassidy shoves Wardlow but he blocks hitting the post! Cassidy eggs Wardlow on and leads him around the way, to the ramp side. Fans sing, “Wardlow’s gonna kill~ you!” as Cassidy continues to egg him on. But Wardlow senses something, and he checks under the ring. He found DANHAUSEN! Very nice, very evil, but apparently very obvious to Wardlow.

Cassidy hurries around the way as Danhausen builds up power. But then Danhausen thinks it’s better to not curse Wardlow, and just pats him on the shoulder. But then ORANGE PUNCH!! Wardlow staggers around, gets in the ring, but Cassidy hurries in to ORANGE- NOPE! OVERHEAD Belly2Belly! Cassidy flounders out of the ring while Wardlow checks his chin, and Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Cassidy sits up and clutches his back while Wardlow paces. Wardlow makes sure his jaw is working, and then waits on Cassidy. The ring count climbs but Cassidy gets in at about 7 of 10. Only for Wardlow to hoist him up for another OVERHEAD Belly2Belly! Cassidy flops out the other side but Wardlow pursues. Wardlow drags Cassidy up, puts him in, but Cassidy bails out the far side again. Cassidy catches his breath but Wardlow storms up that way. Wardlow brings Cassidy up, to trophy lift and TOSS into the ring! Wardlow then jumps up to the apron like a Beast and get in after Cassidy. Wardlow hauls Cassidy up, suplexes him up, and holds him up!

Fans rally as Wardlow SLAMS Cassidy down at 10! Cover, TWO! Wardlow is fine with that, he just drags Cassidy back up to whip into the corner hard! Cassidy bounces off the buckles and crawls back into the corner. Wardlow storms up on Cassidy again, hauls him up and Dynamite returns to single picture as Wardlow whips Cassidy corner to corner the other way. Cassidy goes up and out, Wardlow runs in but Cassidy ducks to bump Wardlow off the buckles again and again, a total of 10 times! Fans fire up, Cassidy climbs, and Cassidy leaps, CROSSBODY into Wardlow’s arms! Wardlow pops Cassidy up but Cassidy slips out to CHOP BLOCK!

Cassidy CHOP BLOCKS again and Wardlow hobbles! Cassidy RAMS him into buckles, then RAMS him into the other corner! Wardlow staggers, into an Alabama Lift! Wardlow’s too much, and he gets Cassidy up! Cassidy holds onto a leg to deny the bomb so Wardlow CLUBS Cassidy! Wardlow gets Cassidy up, but Cassidy DDTs! Cassidy runs, tilt-o-whirls, and DDTs! Cover, ONE!! Cassidy is surprised Wardlow is getting up, but he runs in and ORANEG- NO, Wardlow ducks the punch to fireman’s carry! F10!! Cover, TWO!! Wardlow is shocked that Cassidy survives! Fans rally up, and Wardlow says it’s time!

Wardlow drags Cassidy up, reels him in, POWER- No, Cassidy fights with fast hands! Cassidy tries to rana but Wardlow holds on! Cassidy CLUBS at Wardlow’s hands but Wardlow uses one arm to POWER- NO, RANA! Cassidy sends Wardlow out and then DIVES to send him into railing! Cassidy POSTS Wardlow, then POSTS him again! Cassidy puts Wardlow in as fans fire up! Cassidy climbs up to DEEP- NO, no flying DDT, Wardlow powers him to a suplex, STUN-DOG MILLIONAIRE! Wardlow wobbles, into an ORANGE PUNCH! Wardlow’s still up, Cassidy Alabama Lifts, BEACH BREAK! Cover, TWO!!!

Fans are thunderous as Cassidy grits his teeth and takes off the armband! Wardlow slowly rises, Cassidy takes aim, ORANGE- POWERBOMB!! High stack, Wardlow wins!

Winner: Wardlow, by pinfall (still AEW TNT Champion)

Cassidy got serious, but it wasn’t enough against the always serious Wardlow! Best Friends return as Wardlow drags Cassidy up, but it’s because Cassidy won Wardlow’s respect. They fist bump and move on, who is next on the warpath for Wardlow?

Chris Jericho is here!

The Wizard is heading to the ring ahead of next week’s Barbed Wire Everywhere Death Match with Eddie Kingston to speak about that very match. Jericho gets the mic to say, “I stand out here in front of you tonight not as Chris Jericho the sports entertainer, or Chris Jericho the Wizard, or Chris Jericho the rock star. I stand in front of you as Chris Jericho the living legend, and Chris Jericho, Eddie Kingston’s superior!” Jericho wants to address what Eddie’s been saying. Firstly, Jericho did not make Eddie a liar, because Eddie is not a liar, Jericho promises him that. But Eddie is confused, and here is why.

Eddie challenged Jericho to a Barbed Wire Everywhere match, the first one ever, and Eddie would do it so that every drop of blood Jericho sheds would be for his friends. Oh, really? Friends? With friends like his, huh? Everything Eddie does when it comes to friendship turns to mold. “Being friends with Eddie Kingston is a worse curse than anything Danhausen could ever conjure up, and let’s go through the list.” Fans boo but Jericho tells them to shut up. Jericho starts with Ortiz, Eddie’s friend: Jericho shaved his head and took his dignity. Santana, Eddie’s friend: the JAS took him out at Blood & Guts.

Bryan Danielson, a mere acquaintance, and Jericho took him out at Anarchy in the Arena. JERICHO did that! We don’t know when Bryan’s coming back! Then there’s Ruby Soho. “Eddie’s Ruby.” What did that get her? A mangled hand and a crushed career. And the reason why that is, you stupid SOB, is because she’s your Ruby, Eddie! You should’ve taken better care of her, but now look what happens. But Eddie challenged Jericho to the Barbed Wire Everywhere match, but why? Because Eddie’s a mark for Terry Funk and Onita and Sabu. But how many of those has Eddie had? And how many has he won?

Because Jericho won the very first Barbed Wire match in Canadian history at the tender age of 22! Jericho tasted the “sweet sting” of barbed wire’s bite, and even though it was unbearable, deep down inside, Jericho felt pleasure. Jericho is just as sadistic and maniacal as Eddie, but Eddie underestimates that! Eddie underestimates Jericho because of all Jericho’s great accomplishments in this business, and his movie star good looks. Jericho says next week, Eddie won’t be able to do that, because he’s not facing Chris Jericho, he’s facing THE PAINMAKER! The undefeated persona in AEW, and that’s no lie, because just like Eddie Kingston, Jericho is not a liar.

So why is Jericho accepting this match? Here’s why: THIS IS IT! This is the final fight between them! And what a saga. But once Jericho wins, Eddie can crawl back into his little hole and continue drinking and drugging and being depressed and having problems and every other excuse he has, to cover up deep down that Eddie knows he’ll never be on Jericho’s level! If Eddie wants blood, then he’s got it. Because once again, as Eddie said, every drop of blood for Jericho is one of his sins. But the only thing that can wash away that is a tidal wave of Eddie’s own blood so much that Noah, the Ark and all the animals would be jealous!

If Eddie wants blood, he’s got it! Because Eddie isn’t a liar, he’s just a loser! Jericho has issued his ultimatum, will The Painmaker crush the Mad King once and for all?

Eddie Kingston and friends respond.

The mad King says yeah yeah, he sees the difference. Jericho gets five minutes and Eddie gets this. But Eddie still tells Jericho, “Bring your Painmaker. Please! Bring the most violent person you can bring, because it’s not gonna matter. Look what you did to Ruby.” Ruby Soho shows off her arm in the cast, and Eddie has Ortiz show his shaved head. Eddie says Jericho will pay with every ounce of his blood! Eddie is going to hurt him and enjoy it! And see you at Barbed Wire Everywhere! Yeah, that’s his out line. But will Eddie’s actions speak volumes next week?

Interim AEW World Championship Eliminator: Jon Moxley VS Konosuke Takeshita!

The Maniac defeated The Ace, Hiroshi Tanahashi, to have this belt, and he defeated the House of Black’s behemoth, Brody King, to keep it. But now, the Future of DDT is getting his own opportunity! Konosuke has proven himself worthy of being the future, but is the future now? Or is it still too early for Konosuke to beat Jeeeeeeeeeooooon MOXLEY~?

William Regal is on commentary, and he already loves the idea of these two warriors fighting their hearts out. The bell rings and Konosuke and Moxley stare down. Fans rally, the two slowly circle, and Moxley calls for a test of strength. Konosuke obliges, they knuckle lock, but then back off. They tie up collar ‘n’ elbow, Moxley wrenches and hammerlocks, but Konosuke reaches back to headlock. Konosuke grinds but Moxley slips out the back to put the headlock on Konosuke. Konosuke powers out, they RAM shoulders, but Konosuke runs to RAM Moxley again. Moxley RAMS Konosuke and Konosuke RAMS Moxley, again and again!

Moxley SLAPS then CHOPS Konosuke! Headlock takeover and Moxley has Konosuke on the mat. Konosuke fights up, powers up and powers out, and things speed up for Konosuke to CALF KICK Moxley down! Moxley gets up, Konosuke CHOPS him! Moxley snarls and he CHOPS back! Konosuke CHOPS and he waits on Moxley. Moxley CHOPS, Konosuke CHOPS, fans “WOO~” with every shot. Konosuke ROCKS Moxley, runs, dodges one but Moxley LARIATS Konosuke on the return! Fans fire up and Moxley paces around Konosuke. Moxley drags Konosuke up, for a PILEDRIVER! Cover, TWO! Konosuke’s still in this so Moxley ties up the legs.

Moxley gets a chinlock, it’s a modified Queen Angelito! Fans rally, Konosuke endures and reaches out for the ROPEBREAK! Moxley lets off but drags Konosuke to the apron. Fans rally, Moxley reels Konosuke in but Konosuke hooks the ropes. Moxley CLUBS Konosuke, but Konosuke fights out to throw a forearm! Moxley throws it back, they brawl on the edge! Fans fire up. Konosuke blocks a boot to spin Moxley around! APRON GERMAN SUPLEX! Moxley did his best to shield that but still flops to the floor. Konosuke runs in but Moxley dodges! Konosuke keeps from hitting steel steps, and the brawl is back on!

Konosuke knees low, puts Moxley in, and gets on the apron, but Moxley BOOTS him to the floor! Fans fire up and Moxley soaks it up as Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Moxley paces around while a ring count starts. Konosuke stands up at 5 of 10 but Moxley goes out to fetch him. Konosuke is bleeding from that boot to his head, so Moxley punches him right on the forehead! Moxley sits Konosuke down by the railing to punch the wound, dig at it, and BITE at it! Moxley is tasting blood and he puts Konosuke in the ring. Moxley drags Konosuke up, CHOPS him, and then hoists him to the top rope. Moxley climbs up after Konosuke to BITE his forehead again! Moxley digs his elbow into the forehead, then he brings Konosuke up for a SUPERPLEX! Cover, TWO!

Moxley keeps Konosuke down with knuckle locks, and gives him DRAGON STOMPS a la Danielson! Cover, TWO! Moxley keeps his cool and he paces around Konosuke like a shark. Moxley puts Konosuke on the ropes to BEND him back! The ref counts, Moxley lets off at 4, but Konosuke ROCKS Moxley with a forearm! Moxley eggs him on and the forearms keep flying, Dynamite returns to single picture as Moxley shoots around to HALF ‘N’ HALF! Konosuke is dazed behind his crimson mask as Moxley paces again. Moxley gets Konosuke’s legs, drags him back and STOMPS his stomach to then stand on the forehead!

Moxley stomps Konosuke’s bloody face and fans fire up. Moxley drags Konosuke up but Konosuke fires off boxing elbows! Konosuke ROCKS, whips but Moxley reverses, only or Konosuke to duck ‘n’ dodge and LEAPING LARIAT! Fans fire up and Konosuke has a wild look in his eyes! Konosuke fires forearms to back Moxley down to a corner, then he whips corner to corner. Konosuke roars, runs and BOOTS Moxley in the corner! Konosuke goes corner to corner but Moxley follows to clothesline! Moxley brings Konosuke out, suplex, but Konosuke slips out! Moxley fights the waistlock but Konosuke hits a BRAINBUSTER! Cover, TWO!!

Konosuke snarls and goes to a corner! Konosuke climbs, fans fire up, and Konosuke FROG SPLASHES onto knees! Cover, TWO!! Moxley clamps onto Konosuke with a SLEEPER! Body scissors, then ARMBAR! Konosuke fights that but Moxley breaks the grip! Konosuke kicks and flails around while he endures, and he rolls to get the ROPEBREAK! Moxley lets go and fans are thunderous! “This is Awesome!” as Moxley eggs Konosuke on. Konosuke stands and Moxley SLAPS him! Konosuke fires a forearm, then another, and another! Moxley runs, into a RANA! Moxley bails out and Konosuke builds speed to FLY! Direct hit at the ramp!

Fans lose their minds as Konosuke drags Moxley up and in. Konosuke goes up, FROG SPLASH!! Cover, TWO!! Moxley survives and Konosuke can’t believe it! Moxley and Konosuke throw forearms, fans hope they “FIGHT FOREVER!” This has to end somehow, and Mox is firing boxing elbows. Konosuke ROCKS Moxley again, but DOUBLE LARIATS collide! Both men stay up, so they go again, DOUBLE LARIATS! They’re still up, Moxley shoots around to get the SLEEPER, but Konosuke makes it a BLUE THUNDER BOMB!! Konosuke has a cover by just his foot! TWO!!! Moxley is up but Konosuke hurries after him.

Konosuke whips, Moxley blocks the knee, PARADIGM SHIFT OUTTA NOWHERE! And then HAMMER ‘N’ ANVIL ELBOWS! Konosuke is all but out, so Moxley hits a DEATH- NO, Konosuke flips through to ROCK Moxley again! HIGH ANGLE GERMAN! Bridging cover, TWO!?!? Moxley barely tilts over to avoid that loss! But Konosuke keeps hold, tries for a wristlock but Moxley fights. Konosuke adds another wristlock to have a straitjacket, but Moxley reverse headbutts! Moxley slips out to HEADBUTT from the front! And again, and again, and DEATH RIDER!! MORE HAMMER ‘N’ ANVIL! BULLY CHOKE!! Konosuke taps, Moxley wins!!

Winner: Jon Moxley, by submission (DENIES Konosuke Takeshita a title match)

The Best in the World better have been watching this, because the Maniac is holding it down! Will Moxley stay undefeated as interim champion to one day meet CM Punk in an UNDISPUTED AEW World Championship match?

The House of Black speaks.

Julia Hart says, “You’re free to make whatever choice you want. But you’re not free from the consequences of that choice.” Malakai Black says, “Take venom, Darby, when you oppose The House. Once it’s slowly trickling through your system, you’re left with the agony of it.” Brody King says he didn’t need Darby’s praise at the end of last week’s Dynamite, and he didn’t need to be told what he had earned. And we see footage of Brody King attacking Darby at a meet ‘n’ greet with fans! Brody doesn’t need to be told anything from Darby. “For years, I watched you ascend. But now, I’m getting mine by taking yours.” Will the Relentless One be put down by the House?

Christian Cage and Luchasaurus are here!

Captain Charisma has the mic already as he leads the way for his own personal Godzilla. Christian says to Luchasaurus’ opponents waiting in the ring, “Now, I don’t know either of you from Adam, but there’s something I find extremely annoying about you two, The Varsity Blonds. Now, Pillman, it’s not even that stupid mullet you’re walking around with, although you’d fit in quite nicely with those here in Georgia. Here’s the thing, Pillman, just like Jungle Boy, you had a father. But your father was a legend in this business. ‘Legend’ are other people’s words, not mine. Brian Pillman, your father was average at best.”

Brian Pillman Sr. wasn’t a multi-time world champion like Christian! That being said, Christian still respects that Pillman Sr. spilt blood, sweat and tears in the middle of the ring. And Christian is sure he wouldn’t mind Christian saying that Pillman Sr. would be appalled at how his final contribution to this business was Pillman Junior! Griff Garrison keeps BPJ from rushing out at Christian, but then Christian points out that Griff went on social media this week, and posted this picture. It was just himself? Christian wasn’t sure what he hated about this at first, but the hair, the look, the physique, the athleticism, the aura, Christian couldn’t see it at first.

But then it hit Christian like a ton of bricks. Doesn’t he look like Jungle Boy? Luchasaurus storms to the ring, is Christian going to have Luchasaurus use the Ivy League MVP as a proxy for JB?

Luchasaurus w/ Christian Cage VS Griff Garrison w/ Brian Pillman Jr!

The bell rings and Luchasaurus corners Griff. Griff slips away to fire a forearm but Luchasaurus grabs Griff with both hands to TOSS and SPLASH! Luchasaurus hauls Griff up, pops him around and GERMAN SUPLEXES him away! Griff bails out, Luchasaurus pursues while BPJ rallies the fans. Griff tries to hit back but Luchasaurus CHOPS him on the back! Griff falls over but Luchasaurus drags him back up to dig into the post! Christian says to do it, and Luchasaurus BOOTS Griff into the post! Luchasaurus puts Griff in, storms up on him, and he drags Griff up into a choke grip! CHOKE SLAM!!

Christian says that’s not enough, do it again! Luchasaurus obeys, CHOKE SLAM!! And then, TARPIT STRETCH!! Griff taps, Luchasaurus wins!

Winner: Luchasaurus, by submission

But this still isn’t enough for Christian, he has Luchasaurus TOSS Griff out! Luchasaurus clears the table in the timekeeper’s area! BPJ rushes over and stares Luchasaurus down, but then Christian storms up. BPJ stares at Christian, but Luchasaurus HEADBUTTS him down! Luchasaurus drags BPJ up and puts him on the table, to then drag Griff over and CHOKE SLAM Griff onto BPJ! The table doesn’t break, either, so Luchasaurus CHOKE SLAMS Griff again! The table breaks, and the Varsity Blonds might’ve just been broken with it! Will nothing stop this monster and his master from laying waste to the roster?

Backstage interview with the Jericho Appreciation Society.

Tony Schiavone is with Daniel Garcia, Matthew Menard and Angelo Parker as he says next week, Dynamite: Fyter Fest part 2, Shark Week presents the Barbed Wire Everywhere match, with the JAS in a shark cage! Wow, a shark cage, huh? Are we really talking about shark cages? Menard says the JAS has had just about enough with cages! Parker says they have questions, too. How high is this cage going to be up in the air? Schiavone doesn’t know. Menard wants to know about if Eddie’s buddies, Claudio, Ortiz and them. Are they going to be free to walk around all “willy nilly?” NO WAY! Put them in a cage, too!

Parker wants to get answers, and he brings out his switchblade! Take it easy, it’s just a comb. Menard & Parker storm off, and Garcia gets why he’s being put in that cage. He’s nasty, violent and dangerous, something Wheeler Yuta wants to be. But Garcia says Yuta is just cosplaying, he’s not tricking nobody. So if Yuta wants to take Garcia’s identity from him, Garcia will take that ROH Pure Championship from Yuta. Will the JAS behave while in the cage? And will Death Before Dishonor on July 23rd be the death of The Decoder’s reign?

Smoke coming out of his ears and everything. But now, they want to issue a challenge to the House of Black! They will beat down “those spooky perverts.” They’ll bring the fight on behalf of Hangman! With their fists!

Hangman says he appreciates that, and says they can have at it. Oh yeah, they will! They’ll have all the attitude they want! BELEE DAT! Uh, okay, sure. Will Rampage get Dark Order?

Claudio Castagnoli VS Jake Hager!

Once upon a time, the Swiss Cyborg and the Rock Hard Sooner were a formidable force together. But now, these forces are set to collide to prove who was always the better half! Will it be the BCC or the JAS with another point up in this ongoing feud?

The bell rings and Claudio BLASTS Hager with a EuroUpper! And then Claudio reels Hager in, but Hager back drops before the Gotch hold! But Claudio sunset flips through it, to then get the legs! Hager scrambles to the ROPEBREAK! Claudio lets go, Hager gets up and Claudio BOOTS him down! Fans who remember chant, “WE THE PEOPLE!” Claudio is amused, and he goes out after Hager, but Hager dodges to CLOBBER Claudio! Fans boo while Hager roars, and Hager drags Claudio up and into the ring. Fans rally, Claudio is in a drop zone, so Hager runs in and goes up, HAGER BOMB but Claudio gets his knees up! Only for Hager to block that counter!

Hager drags Claudio by his leg, for an ANKLE LOCK! But Claudio rolls and puts Hager on ropes! Fans fire up and Claudio runs, to SWISS 1-9! Cover, TWO! Hager gets to a corner, Claudio throws body shots then whips, but Hager reverses and CLOBBERS Claudio in the corner. Hager throws point-blank clotheslines, but Claudio blocks to EuroUpper! Claudio fires more EuroUppers, and body shots, but Hager turns things around for more point-blank clotheslines! Hager runs side to side to CLOBBER Claudio again, then goes the other way, only to miss! Claudio EuroUppers, runs, and EuroUppers again!

Regal is loving this on commentary again as Claudio dropkicks the legs out, and BASEMENT BULLDOGS! Cover, TWO! Claudio goes to an apron and he aims at Hager. Claudio shoulders into Hager, then brings him over to bump him off buckles! And again, and again, and again! The fans count all the way to 9, Claudio CLUBS Hager for the tenth! Claudio climbs up but Hager trips him up! Hager then hauls Claudio off the corner for a RUNNING SPINEBUSTER! Claudio gets to a corner, Hager gets him up for furious body shots! Hager then TOSSES Claudio across the ring, and runs in for the HAGER BOMB! Cover, TWO!

Claudio gasps and sputters but Hager soaks up the heat while Dynamite goes picture in picture. Hager drags Claudio up to CHOKE him on the ropes, then CLUB him on the back. Hager stands Claudio up to then CHOKE him against the buckles, and CLUB him again! Claudio staggers away but Hager is after him in another corner. Hager throws a heavy body shot, and he stalks Claudio to another corner to JAB at him. Hager toys with Claudio but Claudio BOOTS him for it! And EuroUppers, and throws body shots. But Hager clinches to BELLY2BELLY! Hager paces around Claudio, drags him back up, and suplexes, only for Claudio to block!

Claudio fights to suplex Hager up and over! Fans fire up while both men are down! Hager writhes while Claudio rises, and Claudio throws haymakers and elbows! Claudio whips, Hager reverses and BOOTS Claudio down! Cover, TWO! Claudio flounders to a corner but Hager hurries after him. Hager drags Claudio up into a top wristlock as Dynamite returns to single picture. Claudio fights up, throws body shots, but Hager shoves him to a corner. Hager runs in, into a BOOT! Claudio runs, into an OVERHEAD Belly2Belly! Cover, TWO! Fans rally, Hager drags Claudio back up and reels him in, short arm LARIAT!

Hager drags Claudio up again, but Claudio ducks this time to springboard FLYING EUROUPPER! Direct hit and fans fire up while both men are down! Claudio and Hager stir, they throw haymakers from their knees, then up to their feet. Claudio gives EuroUppers from all sides, then whips to EuroUpper in the corner! And back the other way! And Claudio keeps moving to DROPKICK Hager down! Hager bails out and leans against railing but Claudio goes out and runs in, EUROUPPER against the railing! Fans are thunderous and they fist bump Claudio before he drags Hager up. Claudio puts Hager in, goes up a corner, CROSSBODY! Cover, TWO!

Claudio keeps cool as Hager survives, and fans want the swing! Claudio is always one to oblige, he says it’s time to go for a swing! He trips Hager, and SWISS SWINGS him immediately! Fans count to 10, Claudio steps through and has the SHARPSHOOTER! Hager endures, reaches out, but Claudio drags him away to sit deep! Hager reaches out, but he’s waiving to the back! Claudio gets the legs, hooks them up, but Parker talks trash! Claudio DECKS him into Menard! Hager runs in, but into a POP-UP UPPERCUT! And then, double tuck for the RICOLA BOMB!! Cover, Claudio wins!

Winner: Claudio Castagnoli, by pinfall

A standing ovation for that incredible display of power! Claudio scores another win for the Blackpool Combat Club, will he keep things rolling until he brings gold to the BCC, too?

Backstage interview with Hook.

Lexi Nair once again interviews the Cold-Hearted Handsome Devil, and she brings up that he is still undefeated. Is it safe to say a title shot is in his future? Hook just shrugs and walks off. Well, that wasn’t a no. Will the champions of AEW be worried Tony Khan will #SendHook their way?

Backstage interview with Thunder Rosa & Toni Storm.

Schiavone is with #ThunderStorm and their new shirts. Rosa had a great AEW Women’s World Championship Eliminator with Miyu Yamashita at Tokyo Joshi Pro’s Summer Sun Princess, as we all saw via AEW Dark. Rosa says yes, it was a banger! After two-and-a-half years away, she returned to TJPW as AEW Women’s World Champion, but she won’t lie, she lost. But Miyu is on her way to the States to get that title shot! Rosa was also excited last week because she got to tag up with her girl, Toni! And they ARE the ThunderStorm! They’re ready to take on anybody who wants it!

Britt Baker walks in to say, “Okay, that’s enough. We’ve heard enough of this Thunder Rosa promo for the next decade!” And look who’s back! Britt and Jamie Hayter tried to stay away, because as The Role Model, Britt was trying to let the others have the spotlight. But let’s face it, AEW is a disaster without her! A natural disaster. Get it? Thunder Storm is so cute! Those shirts look great. But uh, Jamie & Britt are well aware of the flooding, destruction and carnage a thunderstorm can cause. So luckily for them, and unfortunately for Rosa & Toni, Britt & Hayter know how to handle a Thunder Storm. Rebel brings in a big sandbag.

Britt makes Schiavone hold it, telling him to try “carrying” that for a month. Rosa says she can’t wait to BURY Britt with it! Will the Doctor and her sidekicks regret coming right back onto Rosa’s radar?

Serena Deeb VS Anna Jay!

The Professor of Pro-Wrestling wants after the ROH Women’s World Championship, given her betrayal of Mercedes Martinez last week. But will the Queenslayer derail those ambitions this close to Death Before Dishonor? Or will she just be an appetizer for the Wolf of Wrestling?

The bell rings and fans rally for Anna from Savannah. She and Deeb tie up. Deeb headlocks, spins and hammerlocks to then spin and trip Anny, to then hook her up into a GEDO CLUTCH! ONE, but Deeb headlocks for a takeover. Anna headscissors, Deeb kips free and and headlocks again. Anna endures the grind, powers out, but Deeb runs her over! Deeb taunts Anna, runs, blocks Anna’s hip toss to go for a hip toss, but Anna blocks that to arm-drag! Anna runs in to clinch and COMPLETE SHOT! Anna runs to BASEMENT BLOCKBUSTER! Fans fire up with Anna and she runs in to BOOT Deeb into the corner.

Anna runs in but Deeb slips outside. Anna stops from hitting buckles to grab at Deeb, but Deeb slides under to roll Anna into a BUTTERFLY STRETCH! Anna endures, fans rally up, and Anna powers her way to a cover, TWO! Anna runs in, gets around, and has the QUEENSLAYER SLEEPER!! Deeb flails, claws at the hold, reaches out, and gets in the ropes for the ROPEBREAK! Deeb keeps moving and she HOTSHOTS Anna down! Anna sputters, Deeb rushes in to TWIST ‘N’ SHOUT! Cover, TWO! Anna survives and gets out of the ring but Deeb is seething. Deeb soaks up the heat as Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Deeb fires up the fans and builds speed, to then stop, go out and SMACK Anna off the apron! And again! The Wolf taunts the fans who thought she was going to fly. Deeb puts Anna against the railing, in front of her family, before the CHOP! But Anna turns it around to CHOP Deeb! Deeb pokes Anna in the eye! Then Deeb tells Anna’s family off before putting Anna back in the ring. Deeb pushes Anna down, tells her family to watch this, and then she scrapes her sole off Anna’s face! Deeb sneers as she puts on a BULLY CHOKE! Anna endures, moves around, fights up, and throws body shots! But Deeb CLUBS her back down!

Deeb drags Anna up, puts her through the ropes, and turns her for a DRAPING NECKBREAKER! Deeb smirks as she looms over the hometown hero. Deeb drags Anna up, headlocks for another takeover, then floats right to turn Anna over with her legs. Deeb hooks the legs up, mocks the Dark Order hand, and uses it to CLAW Anna’s face! The ref reprimands, Deeb lets Anna go to then drive elbows into Anna’s shoulder. Deeb wraps on a straitjacket stretch but Anna endures again. Anna fights up, turns the straitjacket around, but Deeb gets around again to BACKSTABBER! Anna flounders to a corner and Deeb runs in, only for Anna to BOOT her away!

Dynamite returns to single picture as Anna storms up and fires off forearms on Deeb! Fans fire up with Anna as she ROCKS Deeb then CLOBBERS her! And again! Anna dodges Deeb to CLOBBER Deeb again! Deeb goes to a corner, Anna runs in to LEG LARIAT! And then a NORTHERN LIGHTS! Cover, TWO! Anna is frustrated but she drags Deeb up to the QUEENSLAYER! Deeb endures, pries at the hold, drops and tucks the arms to flip Anna over! EURO CLUTCH, TWO!! Anna escapes but barely! She dodges Deeb again, but Deeb blocks the hip toss to spin Anna around and around and around, and a bit more, before reeling her in! DEEB-

NO, no Deebtox, a HARD back body drop! But Deeb holds on to sunset flip! TWO, and Deeb keeps the body scissors to stand and squat on Anna! Anna is being folded up as Deeb pulls on her arms in this modified motorcycle stretch! Fans rally as Anna endures, and she powers up to push Deeb back to a cover! TWO, Deeb kicks low! Deeb whips, Anna reverses and kicks low to then hook and HEEL KICK! Anna whips Deeb to a corner, but Deeb dodges to send her into the corner! Deeb puts one leg in the ropes and holds the other leg, DRAPING DRAGON SCREW! Anna flounders and clutches that leg, but Deeb’s right on her!

But Anna uses that to drag Deeb down! QUEENSLAYER WITH BODY SCISSORS!! Deeb is flailing, fighting, gets the scissors open but Anna still has the sleeper! Deeb stands, arm-drags free, and she keeps the arm to omoplata! SERENITY LOCK!! Anna taps, Deeb wins!

Winner: Serena Deeb, by submission

But Deeb makes Anna suffer by holding on! But here comes MERCEDES! The OG Badass drags Deeb off Anna to TOSS her out! That’s what Deeb gets for betraying Mercedes and bullying the younger generation! But will Mercedes make sure Deeb gets everything she deserves at ROH Death Before Dishonor?

Backstage interview with The Baddies.

Schiavone is with Jade Cargill as she stands with Kiera Hogan on one side, and Leila Grey is with Stokely Hathaway on the other. Schiavone says there has been a lot of talk between The Baddies and Athena & Kris Statlander. That is why there will be a match this Friday on Rampage. Jade once again tells Schiavone to “cut the sh*t,” and says no one is worried about those bitches. Kiera, are you worried? Nope, they ain’t worried about nothing! Exactly. And shouldn’t Leila be fetching them water or something? Jade already beat her ass. Kiera asks what Leila is even still doing here? Stokely has Leila stay calm so they can address the elephant in the room.

Stokely has heard people are mad, but just trust him. He is for The Baddies the same way Wu Tang is for the children, alright? “Kris, Athena, this Friday on Rampage, we gon be watching you.” Stokely says to head out, but Kiera says Leila can try all she wants, she ain’t never gonna be a real Baddie. That’s all, period! Will there be no peace within The Baddies’ house until Red Velvet returns?

Jay Lethal crashes commentary!

Just as Excalibur was previewing the ROH Death Before Dishonor card and the coming ROH World Television Championship match, Lethal tells him and everyone else that all we need to be concerned about is that it is about HIM removing the title from Samoa Joe! Lethal has said it 1000 times, he is the LONGEST reigning ROH TV Champion! And Joe’s student will embarrass him! Will Lethal prove he is more lethal than the Samoan Submission Specialist once and for all?

Backstage interview with Anna Jay.

Schiavone is standing by as a medic checks Anna’s leg after that match with Deeb. But then in walks Anna’s old friend in Tay Conti. Poor Anna. Her first match back in months and this happens. Anna tells Tay that at least she’s not someone who slammed Ruby Soho’s hand in a car door! Well, maybe Anna should have, because then she’d be on TV more. Tay says that she still likes Anna, she really does. But Anna needs to make better choices for her career. Just think about it. Is Tay trying to recruit Anna to the Jericho Appreciation Society? Or will Anna stay loyal to the Dark Order?

AEW World Tag Team Championships Triple Threat: The Young Bucks VS Team Taz VS Swerve in Our Glory!

Matt & Nick Jackson heard all the talk about “best tag team today” between the #AbsolutePowerhouses and the Limitless House, and decided to do something about it! Will it be a #SuperkickParty to close out the night? Will Ricky Starks & Will Hobbs bring these titles to Team Taz? Or will Keith Lee & Swerve Strickland make All Elite Wrestling #BaskinTheirGlory?

The introductions are made, the belts are raised, and tonight we go TRIPLE OR NOTHING!

In this kind of Triple Threat Tag, only two teams are legal at a time, so Team Taz is happy to step aside as Keith starts against Matt Jackson. Fans already sing, “OH~ Bask in His Glory~!” as Keith and Matt circle. They tie up, Matt headlocks, but Keith powers up to carry Matt.  Matt thrashes the headlock, Keith powers out, but Matt dodges. Matt bobs ‘n’ weaves to dodge the fast hands, but Keith blocks the superkick! Matt ducks the JUMP KICK, and can’t believe Keith even got up there! Matt quickly tags out to Nick, and Swerve wants in. Keith tags him in and now we switch to the speed formation.

Swerve trips Nick, Nick avoids the stomps but Swerve knuckle locks him while he’s down. Nick kips up, spins through, CHOPS Swerve and goes up and up to “LUCHA LIBRE~,” only for Swerve to handspring through the arm-drag! Fans fire up, things speed up, “Whose House?” “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” Nick flips up and around but Swerve dodges to show off his own agility. Swerve then puts Nick out, but he swaggers a bit too long and Nick BOOTS him. Swerve shrugs that off and comes back, Nick backflips off the apron, but Swerve handsprings up and out to join him! DOUBLE DROPKICKS cancel out, both men kip up and get in each other’s face!

Fans are thunderous already for this display, and both men slide in. Things speed up again, Nick arm-drags Swerve to an armlock! Nick scowls while he has the hold but fans rally up as Swerve stands up. Nick wrenches, keeps Swerve from ropes, then wrenches, only for Starks to tag in off Swerve! Nick dodges Starks and Starks knuckle locks with Matt! Starks and Nick CHOP Matt and Swerve, and both go up the corners. They tightrope walk and meet on the same side! They each ask what the other is doing, but Swerve and Matt trip them both up! Nick and Starks land on their bucks, and then flop back into the ring.

Matt tags in off Nick, taunts Keith then runs into Starks’ elbow! Starks runs in but into a NORTHERN LIGHTS! The Polar Express starts up! Swerve gets in, but Matt gets him for a DOUBLE NORTHERN LIGHTS! Matt flexes and fans fire up, “This is Awesome!” But then Keith tags in off Swerve, and he stares Matt down. Matt runs in but he can’t get Keith up. Hobbs runs in and Matt still tries to do the double, but that’s more like a quadruple! Hobbs and Keith double suplex Matt to SLAM him down! Hobbs and Keith stare down and fans fire up, but Nick and Starks CLUB Keith while Swerve CLUBS Hobbs!

Swerve drags Hobbs away with a headlock while Starks and Nick double whip Keith. Keith reverses to crisscross and TOSS Starks and Nick! Everyone else bails out, Matt is up and Swerve tags in with Keith. They get Matt up and trap him for the GRIZZLY MAGNUM! Matt is stinging but Swerve kicks him down. FALLING UPPERCUT! Keith brings Matt back around and Swerve goes up but Matt BELL CLAPS Keith and SHOVES him into Swerve! Swerve falls, Matt dropkicks Keith out, and fans fire up with Matt calling for the “SUPERKICK PARTAAAY~!” But Starks tags in off Matt! No superkicks yet, and Starks tags Hobbs.

Starks whips Swerve, hip toss into a BACKBREAKER from Hobbs! Hobbs then hauls Swerve up to put him on the top rope, and CLUB him! Then he whips Swerve into Starks’ DROPKICK! Team Taz strikes a pose together and fans fire up! Starks says this is whose house? HIS house, and Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Starks stalks Swerve then drags him up to scoop and SLAM! Starks runs to drop an elbow! Cover, TWO! Starks keeps on Swerve but Swerve digs at Starks’ face! Starks puts Swerve in a corner to CHOP! Starks pretends he hurt his hand on that, but Swerve hits back. They brawl, Starks DECKS Swerve then rains down fists and stomps! Starks digs his boots in, the ref reprimands, and Starks lets off at 4. Starks hauls Swerve up, Hobbs tags in, and Team Taz mugs Swerve in their corner. Hobbs suplexes Swerve to hold him up for a count of 10 before the SLAM! Cover, TWO! Swerve survives but Hobbs drags him away from the other corners.

Tag to Starks, Starks goes up and strikes a pose before the AX HANDLE to Swerve’s back. Stark smocks Keith conducting the fans, but Swerve CHOPS him! Starks staggers all the way to the Bucks’ corner, Nick tags in off him, but Starks still runs in to bring Swerve up. Starks RAMS Swerve into the Bucks’ corner, Nick stomps a mudhole into Swerve, but he lets off at 4 to soak up the cheers and jeers. Nick drags Swerve up, tags Matt, and the Bucks coordinate. GUTBUSTER to NECKBREAKER BACKBREAKER COMBO! Matt struts around like he’s doing a victory lap, and he taunts Team Taz! The ref has to keep Hobbs & Starks back while Matt fetches Swerve.

Matt uses Swerve’s hands to tell Keith to “SUCK IT!” and now the ref has to keep Keith back. Matt ROCKS Swerve, he tags Nick, and Dynamite returns to single picture as Swerve fights the double team. Swerve sends Matt at Nick, then runs in, into a double hip toss! The Bucks handspring but Swerve kips up to DOUBLE DROPKICK! Fans fire up as Swerve and the Bucks are down! Swerve flounders his way over, hot tag to Keith! Starks runs in but gets run over! Keith hits Hobbs, runs Matt over, then runs Nick over! Keith sees targets in every corner, so he SPLASHES Nick, SPLASHES Matt, then SPLASHES Starks!

Nick runs in but Keith moves, the SPLASH hits Starks! Matt runs in, Keith moves again, the SPLASH sandwiches Nick and Starks! The Bucks stagger away together and Keith grabs Starks, to TOSS at them both! Keith takes out three men at once and the fans are thunderous! Keith sees The Bucks regrouping by the ramp, so he builds speed! But Team Taz drags him out! Hobbs & starks mug Keith but Matt WRECKS them with a dropkick! Nick builds speed and Matt holds the ropes, Nick FLIES but Keith catches him! Nick freaks out as Keith POWERBOMBS him into Matt! Keith pushes the Bucks in and brings Nick up again.

Keith pops Nick right up, but Nick fights free! Keith snarls but Hobbs tags in. Hobbs ROCKS Keith, and fans fire up as the big men stare down! Hobbs shoves, Keith shoves back. Hobbs RAMS Keith, Keith RAMS Hobbs back. Keith dodges Hobbs this time, but then DOUBLE CROSSBODIES COLLIDE! Both men go down in heaps and fans are thunderous again! Fans hope these teams all “FIGHT FOREVER!” but this has to end somehow. Keith gets Hobbs up at the corner, but Hobbs fights back! Hobbs HEADBUTTS again and again until Keith falls, then Hobbs stands up top!? POWERHOUSE FROG SPLASH!! Cover, TWO!!

Hobbs can’t believe Keith survives, he and Keith slowly stir. Nick tags in off Keith, but Hobbs kicks low. Tag to Starks, Team Taz double whip Nick to a corner, and then Starks runs in. Nick BOOTS him, elbows Hobbs, then goes up, only for Hobbs to get him with an Electric Chair! Starks knuckle locks Nick to go up and up and tightrope walk, for an ABSOLUTE DOOMSDAY CUTTER!! Cover, TWO!?! Nick survives and Starks can’t believe it! Nick crawls away, Starks runs in, but the spear is sent into buckles!! Swerve tags in off Starks while Nick tags Matt. Swerve blocks a kick, slips around, BACKBREAKER!

Swerve runs to LARIAT Matt inside-out! Matt is in a daze and Swerve gets him up, only for Matt to back him into the corner. Nick tags back in as Matt arm-drags Swerve away. Matt SUPERKICKS but Swerve goes Matrix! Only for Swerve to kip up into Nick’s SUPERKICK! Keith gets in but Matt SUPERKICKS him! Keith stays up so Nick SUPERKICKS! Keith is still up, so the Bucks DOUBLE SUPERKICK! Keith only drops to a knee?! Starks gets in, too, and he’s just as shocked! Starks offers his help, and they ABSOLUTE TRIPLE SUPERKICK Keith down!! Starks poses with the Bucks, but then they DOUBLE SUPERKICK him!

Hobbs gets in, the Bucks dodge him but he SPLASHES the referee!! DOUBLE SUPERKICKS send Hobbs back into the ref! The Bucks decide to capitalize, and they get the belts! Matt has the belt, he smirks and aims at the enemies, but Starks SUPERKICKS Matt back!! Starks gets the belt, takes aim, but Swerve BOOTS Starks down! Swerve grabs the belt, but who is he going to hit? Swerve’s looking at Keith!? Why!? But then Swerve says no, he’s not gonna do Keith like that. But then Matt LOW BLOWS Swerve!! Matt will do Swerve like that, and he CLOBBERS Keith with the belt! And he CLOBBERS Hobbs, and he CLOBBERS Swerve!

The ref is up, Matt covers Swerve, TWO!!! Swerve survives and Matt can’t believe it! But Nick gets in, the Bucks have Swerve for a B T E TRIGGER!! Cover, Starks breaks it!! Nick tosses Starks, Matt gets Swerve in the gut wrench, and Nick springboards, into Keith’s arms! Swerve slips off, TOSSES Matt, and Keith pops Nick up for the ROLLING ELBOW ROLLING KICK COMBO!! Matt runs into a POP-UP, and Swerve is up top! SWERVE SPIRIT BOMB!! Cover, Team Taz breaks it!! Fans are electric as Hobbs gets Keith up for a SPINEBUSTER! And then Hobbs gets Swerve for a SPINEBUSTER onto Keith!!

Hobbs spots Nick, SPINEBUSTER onto Keith again!! Matt staggers up, SPINEBUSTER onto Nick AND Keith!! Powerhouse Hobbs has Savannah on its feet while everyone else is down! Hobbs drags Matt over, tags in Starks, and Starks runs at Swerve. Swerve boots, somersaults, but Starks avoids the stomps to roll Swerve up, TWO! Starks hurries to deadlift gut wrench Swerve, into the Canadian Rack! But Swerve slips off, swings, misses, dodges, STARKS SPEARS!! Cover, Nick breaks it!! Matt returns, aims at Keith, but Keith blocks the superkick! Matt slips out of his shoe, Brandon Cutler is protesting but that distracts the ref from seeing the SHOE BOP!

Nick staggers into a SHOE BOP of his own! Hobbs runs in, but Keith clinches and TOSSES Hobbs to the floor! Keith aims, but Starks grabs at him to fire a haymaker! Keith falls to the apron, Starks drags him up, but Keith HEADBUTTS Starks away! Swerve uses Keith as a springboard to MOONSAULT onto the Bucks and Hobbs! Fans are thunderous again as Starks builds speed, into the POUNCE from Keith!! Keith builds speed and FLIES!? He wipes out Hobbs and the Bucks! Swerve is up top, SWERVE STOMPS!! Cover, SWERVE & KEITH WIN!!!

Winners: Swerve in Our Glory, by pinfall (NEW AEW World Tag Team Champions)

The Bucks have been dethroned!! The confetti flies for Swerve & Keith, because this is THEIR house, and these are THEIR titles! They held it together as a team, and they are now THE best team in AEW! Will everyone now #BaskInTheirGlory?

Thanks to this YouTube exclusive, we hear from the champions after Dynamite goes off the air!

Keith has the mic first and fans chant for him, “KEITH LEE! WOOP WOOP!” Keith thanks the fans for that, and thanks Swerve from the bottom of his heart. Keith won’t take up much time with Rampage coming up, but he will say this. “I only have three people in my world I consider extremely close to me. One of them, I’ve known for about two-and-a-half decades. And I know what y’all’re thinking. ‘Gaddamn, Keith, you old as sh*t, ain’t ya?’ I’m 37, but as you can tell, I’m young in the legs, baby.” But he says about his friend, Lascelles King, “I’ve known him since 1998. I found out a little while ago that there’s a chance that he may have cancer.”

Keith says most fans probably know, but he nearly died last year. He kept quiet about it until it had all past. There isn’t much that gets to Keith, but when it comes to those he loves, finding out two days ago that Lascelles has stage four colon cancer, Keith dedicated this match to him, and to his other buddy in JD Griffey. “The fact is, I didn’t care if we won or lost. The fact is, this is a brotherhood, and I’m devoting my everything to that.” So this was more than just a victory for Keith, Swerve, their story, this is for Lascelles King and Keith’s love! Keith will always be there. When Keith gets back to Texas, he’ll drive to Austin and see Lascelles ASAP.

Keith wants Lascelles to stay strong and fight! Fight harder than they did here tonight, than Keith did to live through his, and he will be there for Lascelles. Fans cheer the heart and the passion from Keith, and on behalf of him and the Chairshot, let’s all cheer Lascelles King on in his fight against cancer.

My Thoughts:

An awesome episode and an awesome start to Fyter Fest 2022, which will technically now be four AEW shows, because even Rampage becomes Fyter Fest each Friday. The TNT Championship of Wardlow VS Cassidy was great, with Best Friends outright wanting to be Heel to try and cheat Wardlow. But it was all comical so they’re clearly not staying Heel. Wardlow is the master at countering Heel tactics, since he was by MJF’s side all that time. Wardlow of course retains, so I’m surprised this was against Cassidy. At the same time, Wardlow’s going to build a head of steam to have a really strong reign. Also, good to see the TNT Championship is keeping its own title of Most Changed Belt Design, resetting to the black ‘n’ red for Wardlow.

Great promos from the Jericho Appreciation Society members and Eddie Kingston to hype up next week’s Barbed Wire Everywhere Death Match with a shark cage on the side. Or, rather, in the air. I’m a little worried they’re raising the cage when it’s going to have five grown men inside. Maybe Sammy Guevara is staying away on purpose so that there’s one less body in the cage. Jericho bringing back The Painmaker is cool, and very “sports entertainment” of him to up the ante in this match. I would still think Eddie wins to properly cap this off and get the distinction of being the Painmaker’s first loss in AEW.

Moxley VS Konosuke was another awesome match, and perhaps Konosuke’s newest “best match yet” here in AEW. Naturally Moxley wins to deny Konosuke a title shot, but Konosuke is definitely contender material for the TNT and All-Atlantic Championships. Good promo from The House of Black, but I feel like we should’ve already known about that “attack” from Brody on Darby. Perhaps a little too much reliance on fans keeping up with their social media. But anyway, Brody VS Darby is going to be an awesome match to kick Fyter Fest up another gear. Another good Heel promo from Christian sinking to new lows, and Luchasaurus just decimates the Blonds. I don’t know when JB is supposed to return but maybe Matt Hardy gets after Luchasaurus 1v1 while we wait.

I feel like they could’ve/should’ve told us sooner that All Out was going to be in Chicago again. But it’s still cool to know the tradition continues, and that Chicago will be hosting AEW all that week. It being in Chicago, it might also be a good opportunity for CM Punk to give us a health update so we know when to expect him back. Good moment with Hangman, Silver and Reynolds, but Silver & Reynolds are totally getting destroyed by Malakai & Brody while the House of Black builds momentum. Hook had a promo with Lexi Nair, but it’s about the same as all his others. I do think Hook should go for a title now, but he also does need to have matches that last more than a few minutes. His cool guy personality and how fans love him only goes so far.

Lethal has a decent promo to call out Samoa Joe one more time, but I still can’t be sure how that one goes. Thunder & Storm sticking together is interesting, but it really only makes sense if AEW is going to dip back into a Women’s Tag Division. Britt is back, so her fans are happy, and I wonder if she and Hayter end up the high profile fodder for #ThunderStorm to get going as a team. And as I figured with what we saw on AEW Dark, Miyu Yamashita is coming to America to face Rosa, we’ll have to wait and see when and where that title match happens. I would think Rosa retains, and I have a feeling Britt takes Rosa on for the title again to return to that feud.

Good promo from The Baddies, and of course Jade and Kiera are still against adding Leila Grey as a Baddie. This is starting to feel like what was going to happen with NXT’s Diamond Mine had WWE kept Stokely Hathaway/Malcolm Bivens, but maybe AEW will do it better. Athena & Statlander having a match on Rampage is cool, that’ll be a momentum builder before they face Jade & Kiera, which will give Leila her chance to prove herself. Claudio VS Hager was an awesome match, and of course Menard & Parker try to help Hager win, and of course Claudio overcomes that to take the win. Claudio is also building momentum towards titles, maybe he takes on PAC?

Deeb VS Anna was a great match, probably Anna’s best and that is after her taking on Jade Cargill twice. Great use of Anna’s family ringside, but of course Deeb wins. Deeb VS Mercedes is happening, so this was a great momentum builder but also a great chance for Mercedes to go after Deeb. Their title match is going to be awesome stuff, and it is starting to feel like either woman could win. Anna and Tay also had a good promo backstage, so that’s clearly a feud in the making. And we got an awesome Triple Threat Tag main event, everyone looked amazing in it, and what a great surprise that Keith & Swerve won.

This whole time, I thought FTR VS Bucks for All Out was a shoe-in, but this makes the win that much greater. Keith & Swerve can still have that dysfunction story play out, but it is great that they got major titles in a major company when WWE could’ve done the same thing with them and totally dropped the ball on them both. Also, what a powerful post-show promo from Keith, I really do mean all that about hoping Lascelles King well.

My Score: 9.2/10

Tony Schiavone is in the ring.

“Fans here in Indiana, we have a one-on-one face-to-face so volatile, that everyone is going to be barred from ringside. Next week, Winter is Coming, part of Dynamite right here on TBS, for the AEW World title, let’s bring out the champion! Here is Samoa Joe!” Fishers, Indiana is torn as the leader of The Opps makes his way out to the ring. Schiavone then introduces the challenge, Eddie Kingston! The fans are much more united in cheering on The Mad King as he makes his way out, repping the Trash Pandas. Schiavone says, “Once again, everyone else barred from ringside-”

Joe takes the mic from Schiavone! “Schiavone, get outta my ring before I snatch that ugly wig off your head.” The fans boo, but Schiavone does as told. Joe says, “Now, if you’ll excuse me, it seems we have some situations to address. Y’know, Eddie, I bet you are just filled with questions that needed answering. So allow me to answer those questions right off the bat. First, you’re probably wondering why I’m not out here in a three-piece suit, looking like a million dollars.” Eddie says, “Corporate thuggin’, where you at?” Joe says yeah, but it’s for a simple reason. When he got on his private jet and the pilot said they were heading to Indiana, Joe realized it’d be like wearing a tux to a petting zoo.

Let’s face it! The penguins may appreciate it, but these “dumb animals” are far too stupid to realize they’re in the presence of greatness! The fans boo more, but Joe says the second question must be, Why Hook? And why Eddie? See, Hook is a man who has grown with a championship legacy: His father, Taz, was a great champion; his mentor, Joe, the greatest champion in the industry. But this is about education, Eddie, and Joe wanted Hook to have a complete one. So it was important that Hook learned what it was like living on the other side, “eating with the second place people, know how the steak tastes at the third place table.”

Joe couldn’t think of a better candidate to be that guide than Eddie. “A man who has never gotten it done! A man who has never crossed the finish line! A person who walks around, screaming about their potential, but never quite fulfills it.” The fans cheer Eddie on, but Joe chuckles. Joe will ask the third question, the most important one: What’s gonna happen next week? Well, Joe will tell you. Eddie will walk into this ring, he will fight his ass off, he’ll be every bit the lion he claims he is, and bring everything he has to the table in order to capture the greatest championship in this industry. But Eddie, you’re not gonna cross the finish, just like every other time.

The fans boo and Eddie gets worked up. Joe tells Eddie to have the consolation of knowing that it won’t be because of anything Eddie did. No, it will because Joe will choke him unconscious in the middle of this ring. Eddie says he still can’t get over how Samoa Joe, a man who was once held in high regard as a man who saved the indies, who had one of the greatest title runs in ROH, if not THE greatest. A man who went to war with Eddie’s own mentor, Homicide, and he’s talking about jets. Damn, dawg, you sold your soul out hard! And y’know what? Hook was to learn something from Eddie? What he learned was perseverance!

What Hook learned from Eddie was to never give up, even when everyone else tells you to, like Joe. When everybody in the back says, “Yeah, Eddie’s a hot head. Eddie has a point, but why does he yell and scream?” Cuz at least Eddie gets s*it done when he does. The fans cheer that! “So, Joe, stand here right now, Joe. Stand here right now. Because this Samoa Joe, I don’t know. And guess what? I don’t respect. The Joe I know and the Joe that I respect, you ran through everybody, bro. You showed fighting spirit, you showed the whole entire world, the world, what it meant to be a real heavyweight champion!

“But now, but now, que eso? What is this? What is this? Jumping people from behind, using a kid like Hook, getting all up in his head. What, what, you doing what the old school guys used to do? The guys that you used to hate? The guys that you used to call out? It’s funny, now you’re them.” Ooh… Eddie says the thing is, he can end this real quick since the fans want to watch wrestling and Eddie just wants to go back to the hotel and go to bed. So here’s the thing! If Joe doesn’t bring the ROH World Champion, the Submission Machine, if he does not bring the Samoa Joe that made Eddie wanna battle and keep going…

If Joe doesn’t bring back the Joe that beat up Eddie’s mentor for years, Eddie will eat Joe alive on December 10th! Eddie drops the mic and the fans fire up! Winter is Coming, as is one guaranteed slug fest! Will the Mad King finally “live up to his potential?” Or will Joe bring back the man that everyone respected?

The Opps speak.

They’re backstage per the ringside ban, but Hook steps up to say, “Samoa Joe took care of business tonight. Come next week at Winter is Coming, he’ll finish Eddie Kingston off.” Will Hobbs says, “See, we’ve got some business to take care of tonight. But you know, everybody’s gunning for these Trios Championships, so what we’re gonna do is, we’re gonna bless everyone. We’re gonna sprinkle a little holiday cheer around this place. Now last night on ROH, there was one team that impressed us. Dark Order, if you get past us tonight, you get a title shot against Shibata, myself, and Samoa Joe.”

Hook says, “See, Hangman, we know those are real good friends of yours. So we’re gonna have some fun out there with them tonight.” Shibata adds in Japanese that they’ll destroy Dark Order! Hook says that for Shibata the assassin, Hobbs the monster, and “the greatest second generation wrestler of all time,” it’ll be real light work. Is the Dark Order going to be used to send a message to The Cowboy? Or can they find a way to survive The Opps?

2025 Continental Classic Gold League: Kazuchika Okada VS PAC!

In perhaps the most shocking opening round result you’ll ever see, The Rainmaker did NOT start off with a win! He is 0-1 and already up against the wall as he now faces the 1-0 Bastard! Will Pac keep the momentum going? Or will Okada make it rain in Indiana?

The bell rings and the fans fire up already. The two circle, feel things out, and tie up. Okada shifts to a waistlock, Pac switches, but Okada pries free to wrench and wristlock. Pac squats, rolls, and then slips through to wrench and wristlock Okada. Pac then hammerlocks, but Okada drop toeholds. Okada floats to a facelock, but Pac wrenches right out to facelock in return. Don Callis is again on commentary this week to simply brush off Okada’s loss last week by saying the Callis Family is making a group effort in the C2. They still have the statistical advantage in this tournament. Okada fights up and uses his height advantage to put Pac in a corner.

The ref counts, Pac and Okada let go of each other, but then Pac pie faces Okada! The fans fire up while Okada storms back up. The ref has them both stay back until Pac is out of the corner. Then Okada fires a forearm! Pac fires back, they go forearm for forearm, but then Pac DROPKICKS a leg out! Okada goes to a corner, Pac runs up, and he ELBOWS Okada! Pac snapmares Okada, goes up the corner, and he MISSILE DROPKICKS! Okada tumbles, Pac kips up, and Callis admits that is shades of the Dynamite Kid. Okada hears the ring count, the fans want that “One More Time!” and Okada drags Pac up. Okada puts Pac in the ring instead of doing what the fans want, then he storms up on Pac in the corner. Okada ELBOWS Pac, the fans cuss out Callis, and Okada ELBOWS Pac again. The ref counts, Okada backs off, and Okada ELBOWS Pac again. Okada brings Pac out, reels him in, and turns him for a NECKBREAKER! Cover, ONE, but Okada stays stoic.

Okada drags Pac up to scoop and SLAM! Okada goes up the corner per the formula, but Pac hurries away. Okada hops down and runs up to CLUB Pac down! Okada brings Pac up to whip, but Pac reverses to snapmare! And then FACE SCRAPE! Okada clutches his mouth but Pac stomps him down! Pac stomps away, soaks up cheers and jeers from Fishers, then stalks Okada while Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Pac steps on Okada, digs his boots in, and scrapes his face again! Pac snapmares Okada, digs his knee into Okada’s back while keeping him down with the chinlock. Okada endures, pries at the grip, and he moves around. Pac TOSSES Okada out! Okada lands at Callis’ feet, Pac goes out after him, and Pac whips Okada into barriers! Okada writhes against the hard LED, but Pac digs his boot in! The fans cheer but the ref reprimands so Pac lets off. Pac then whips Okada into more railing! Pac refreshes the ring count before he digs his boots into Okada again. The ref reprimands, Pac steps off, and he drags Okada back up.

Pac puts Okada in the ring, then runs to KNEE DROP! And then he KNEES Okada in the back! Pac pushes Okada down so he can run and KNEE DROP again! Cover, TWO! Pac argues with the ref but Okada is just tougher than that. Pac snarls and drags Okada up. Pac bumps Okada off buckles, eggs the fans on, but Okada ROCKS Pac! And ROCKS him again! And again! Pac snapmares to basement DROPKICK Okada in the back! Pac again eggs on Fishers, and he looms over Okada. Pac cravats for a neck wrench while Dynamite returns to single picture. The fans rally up while Okada fights to his feet, and he throws body shots!

Pac SOBATS! KICKS! And SOBATS! Pac runs to DROPKICK Okada down! Pac goes to the apron, climbs up the corner again, but the fans rally for “O-KA-DA!” Okada rises, turns around, MISSILE- NO, Okada dodges! Pac crash lands, and then Okada SHOTGUNS Pac to the other corner! The fans fire up while both men are down, and now a standing count begins! Pac sputters, Okada turns over, and both men sit up at 5 of 10. They rise to 6, Okada fires forearms! Okada whips, Pac reverses, but Okada ELBOWS Pac down! Then he runs corner to corner to ELBOW Pac! Okada kicks and reels Pac in, DDT! Cover, TWO!

The fans fire up as Pac then waistlocks to deadlift Okada! Okada fights, but Pac still GERMAN SUPLEXES! Bridging cover, TWO!! Okada survives but Callis gives Pac credit, that’s perhaps the most beautiful German Suplex you’ll see in the business today.

The fans rally as Pac rises and Okada sputters. Pac stands Okada up, but Okada gut wrenches! TOMBSTONE!! But Okada can’t make the cover! The fans rally up again while the standing count returns. Okada goes to the corner, then drags himself up to the top rope! The fans rally as Pac then springs to life! Pac jumps up after Okada, and he SUPER DUPER PLEXES!! The fans lose their minds, but Pac gets moving again! BASTARD BOMBER!! Then the BRUTAL- CRADLE!! OKADA WINS!!

Winner: Kazuchika Okada, by pinfall (gains 3 points; Pac earns 0)

Snatching victory from the jaws of defeat, Okada gets points on the board! However, he could still be a step behind the leader. We see Kyle Fletcher VS Kevin Knight later, who comes out of that as Gold League’s 2-0 man?

Mark Briscoe speaks.

“Now roundabout a year ago, Danny Garcia, me and you faced off not once but twice. First in the Continental Classic, and then on Collision for your TNT title. Now, I won one, you won one. But my main takeaway was that Danny Garcia is the real deal. This kid is game! Now, here we are a year later, and my goodness how things have changed. Now I’m the reigning and defending TNT Champion. And Danny, Daniel, my opinion of you is not what it once was. You see, Danny, I’m afraid that maybe you’re falling into a Death Riders death spiral. Y’know, you talk all this noise about how you want the shot. I confront you right to your face, and I tell you, ‘Hey, man, let’s do it!’

“You get in my face, and then you back away. What, are you playing mind games? Is this a Jon Moxley-ism? Well, look, Danny, I don’t play mind games, I don’t play no kinda games. I ain’t duckin’, I ain’t dodgin’, so I went straight to Tony Khan. I said, ‘Tony, let’s make this match. Briscoe, Garcia, for the TNT title.’ He said, ‘Mark, I got just the place and time: Cardiff, Wales, Winter is Coming.’ I said, that sounds perfect! Because I’m comin’, too, baby! And it’s gonna be an international ass whooping!” The Sussex County Chicken is ready to fly across the Atlantic just to tear it up, but will he be the one put on ice?

The Demand speaks.

Ricochet says, “To all my, uh, frequent fliers out there, you already know who this is. It’s AEW’s National Champion himself, Ricochet. And I’m feeling pretty good right now, but it’s funny. Over the past couple of days, I’ve had to keep my phone on Do Not Disturb, because I’ve had promoter after promoter emailing me, texting me, calling me, begging me, to come save their little company, to give their talent an opportunity. Because they know what I’ve known this entire time, that Ricochet is not only a champion, but Ricochet has been a viral sensation in every single company that I have worked for, and you can look it up.

“But despite all of that, what I’m known for best is my charity work. Humanitarianism. So my first piece of charity work will be this Friday, in Columbus, Ohio, where I make my debut in ROH. Actually, it’s against an ex-ROH-Champion himself, Dalton Castle. And Dalton, you and I, we’ve known each other for a long, long, long time, so I hate to be the one to tell you, but this Friday, I will dispose of you with ease, and since Columbus is such a cold, miserable place, I’ve decided, uh, I’m gonna stay an extra day. And on Collision, I plan on doing some more charity work where I give some charity case out there an opportunity at my championship.

“Because The Demand is in more demand than we have ever been. And remember: When you’re in Demand, you can make demands.” Kaun adds, “And if you don’t follow demands…” Liona shouts, “You get put DOWN!” AHA~! Feels good, that feels real good. But will The One & Only stay the first-ever AEW National Champion with taking on The Peacock and then potentially a wild card opponent? Or will his holidays already be ruined before Winter even arrives?

Backstage interview with The Conglomeration.

Renee Paquette is with Mark Briscoe, Orange Cassidy, The Babes of Wrath, and even Roderick Strong, as she says we are in the midst of the Continental Classic. And with that, this Saturday will give us a great match-up as Blue League pits Cassidy against Roddy. How will this one possibly go for The Conglomeration? Briscoe says he doesn’t mean to cut her off, but it would be an accurate observation to say that The Conglomeration has not started off The C2 with an abundance of success. That is why it is a good thing that the Word of the Day is: Retributification! So Saturday, Roderick Strong VS Orange Cassidy, someone’s gotta win!

Cassidy says yeah, up top, Roddy. Roddy says no, stop it! First off, he is NOT in the Conglomeration! Got that? Second, he beats Cassidy’s ass this Saturday to go on and win The Continental Classic? Got that? Cassidy asks Briscoe to explain the Conglomeration Rules for the match. Right, well, Cassidy had an idea for the match: No chops. Roddy says Cassidy’s an idiot, and he’s gonna break Cassidy’s back. Roddy pushes past Cassidy, Briscoe wants him to cool down and consider it, and the Babes head out. Cassidy says Roddy must not have seen him standing right here. But will Roddy make sure nothing and no one stops him from breaking through the C2?

BREAKING NEWS on Darby Allin!

Speaking of the Continental Classic, it was a battle in the opening round between The Relentless One and Kevin Knight, but it would appear Darby was far more banged up than he let on. It was as a precaution that Darby be taken to the hospital for observation, he was not cleared to travel, let alone compete, here tonight. AEW hopes to have a clearer picture by this Saturday, will Darby still be able to keep up the fight? Or does even he have a limit to what damage he can take?

2025 Continental Classic Gold League: Kyle Fletcher VS Kevin Knight!

As mentioned already, both these men won big in their opening round matches, so they both stand at 1-0 with 3 points. Okada finally got himself some points to catch up to The Protostar, but will Fletcher just take another step forward? Or will The Jet be leaving them both in the dust as he starts to take off?

The bell rings and the fans fire up as the two circle. They tie up, Kyle’s height helping him, but Knight digs his heels in. They go around, Kyle puts Knight on the ropes, but Knight turns that around. The ref counts, Knight lets off and pats Kyle on the shoulders. Callis admits, he likes Knight, because just look at him! A stud of an athlete. Kyle shrugs things off as he circles with Knight. They tie up again, go around and around, and Kyle hits a headlock takeover. Knight fights, keeps his shoulder up, and then rolls to a cover, ONE! Kyle grinds the hold, Knight headscissors, and Knight squeezes tight. Kyle rolls, pops free, and floats back to the headlock!

The fans rally as Kyle goes out and reels Knight in. POWER- NO, Knight pops free, then goes up the apron to FLYING LARIAT! The fans fire up with Knight while Kyle sputters. Knight slides into the ring, takes aim again, and he springboards to SUPER FLYING LARIAT! The fans fire up again, and Callis is shocked, while Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Knight drags Kyle up, puts him in the ring, and aims from the apron. Knight springboards, Kyle gets under, and he comes back with an ELBOW! An almost Hidden Blade like elbow at that, and Kyle rains down fists! The ref reprimands and counts, no closed fists! Kyle stops to huff ‘n’ puff and storm around while Knight sputters. Kyle stands on the corner and flexes, soaking up cheers and jeers. Kyle storms back to Knight but Knight CHOPS! Knight shakes out his own hand, but then Kyle scoops and SLAMS him down! Kyle paces around while Knight writhes, and Kyle mocks the fans dueling between them.

Kyle lines up a shot, runs in at the corner, forearm SMASH! Then a wrenches and lift, BIG back suplex! Cover, TWO! Kyle sighs, but then he JUMP STOMPS! Kyle clamps onto Knight, Knight endures, and Knight rises up. Dynamite returns to single picture as Knight fires body shots. Knight is free and runs, but into a scoop! But Knight makes it a cradle! TWO! Kyle escapes and BOOTS Knight! Kyle runs, but Knight DROPKICKS! The fans fire up while both men are down again! “This is Awesome!” while the standing count climbs. Knight rises, Kyle is on the ropes, and Kyle storms upon Knight first! Knight fires haymakers, then blocks to fire more!

The fans rally as Knight gets the edge! Knight whips, then LARIATS Kyle in the corner! A whip corner to corner, and another LARIAT! Knight runs, ducks ‘n’ dodges, then LEAPING LARIATS! The fans fire up while both men are down again! Knight shakes out his bad arm, and he kips up! The fans cheer, Knight runs up, but Kyle BOOTS him! Kyle goes up, but into the UPPER ROOM! Knight drags himself back up, runs up, SATELLITE DDT! Callis admits, that was perfect! Cover, TWO!! Kyle survives but Knight will not be deterred! The fans fire up as Knight goes to the apron, but Kyle runs up! Knight RAMS low, then slingshots up and over, sunset flip! TWO!

Winner: Kyle Fletcher, by pinfall (gains 3 points; Knight earns 0)

And it is another incredible victory to make Kyle Fletcher 2-0 with 6 points! Callis grabs the mic to say, “I have something very important to say!” The fans boo that, but Callis says, “And you’re gonna wanna hear it, because it’s about The Young Bucks! But now, I’m gonna let you hear from the greatest wrestler I’ve ever seen, Kyle Fletcher! How you feelin’, big boy?” Callis hands the mic to Kyle while Josh Alexander & Hechicero bring those duffel bags of money out. Kyle says, “Not great, Don, I’ll be completely honest. Is that for me? You bringing that for me? I’ll take that.” Kyle stands to look at the money, and Callis says the fans are gonna hear every last sentence!

The fans boo more but just what is Callis going to say to and about Matt & Nick Jackson? We find out, after the break.

Dynamite returns and Callis is still berating the fans in Fishers.

“You’re very lucky that he even comes to this town! And now, I would like to discuss what happened last week with The Young Bucks! Y’know, Bucks, I could forgive a lot. You can lie to me, I could forgive that. You can cheat me, I could forgive that. You can KILL someone! I have forgiven that before. But the one thing that is an unforgivable sin is siding with Kenny Omega!” The fans cheer, but Callis tells The Bucks that he has something to add. “I have your money, Young Bucks! And I know that Kenny’s not gonna finance you. So if you don’t like it, I suggest, for the first time in your godforsaken lives, let your nuts drop, try to be men, and get in here and take it!”

The fans boo but here come Matt & Nick! The fans cheer and Kyle dares them to come get it. So they rush the ring! The Bucks dodge Kyle, DOUBLE SUPERKICKS! DOUBLE SUPERKICKS on Alexander & Hechi! Then they get Kyle with a B T E TRIGGER!! That was easier than they thought! They snatch up the bag, taunt Callis with it, but then in slides Okada! RAINMAKER on Matt!! Nick asks what the heck, man! The Babes of Wrath speak.

Harley Cameron remembers back to when Willow Nightingale was her second-ever opponent. She remembers then that Willow was kind and sweet and strong. She also beat the snot out of her, so being friends and teammates today still blows Harley’s mind. Willow says they’ve both already been through so much. 8 Woman Tags, Fatal 4 Ways, Tailgate Brawls, and even Blood & Guts! It is a joy teaming together with the same kind of crazy. Not a lot of people believed they could get this far, but that didn’t matter because they believed in themselves. They’re done relying on surprises or upsets. They are ready to be THE first-ever AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions!

So it doesn’t matter who is standing across the ring from them, they’re coming in ready. Who are they? The Babes! What do they have? The Wrath! BABES OF WRATH! BABES OF WRATH!! But then, who will feel the wrath in the tournament finals? We’re about to find out!

AEW Women’s Tag Team Championship Tournament Semifinals, Hardcore Holiday Deathmatch: Timeless Love Bombs VS #MegaProblem!

Toni Storm & Mina Shirakawa won the Full Gear Fatal 4 Way Tag and earned the right to add a stipulation to this tournament match. They wanted revenge for the brutality seen in Blood & Guts, so they chose a match that would do away with tagging in and out, do away with disqualifications and count-outs, and that could only be one by pinfalls, submissions, or knockouts! Will Toni & Mina prove they are indeed knockouts? Or will Megan Bayne & Marina Shafir make them #BowDown?

Toni already wraps her fist in that pearl necklace of hers, and she goes right up to ROCK Marina! The bell rings, the fans fire up, and the brawl is on! But Marina turns things around with KNEES while Megan fires off forearms on Mina! The fans rally, Marina and Megan double whip, but Toni & Mina hit STEREO THEZS PRESSES! They rain down fast hands, then keep after the #MegaProblems with STEREO DDTS! Megan & Marina bail out, Toni & Mina go to the apron! Mina calls to Toni, and Toni basement DROPKICKS Megan! The fans fire up with the Love Bombs, and we see Marina is busted open! Toni scoops Mina to YOYO SPLASH her on Megan! Kendo stick included! Mina snarls and gets the candy cane outta the way. The Love Bombs drag the Megasus up, but she blocks the suplex! Megan DOUBLE SUPLEXES the Love Bombs! Not the cleanest, but damage done! Megan puts Toni on the ropes, Marina storms in, and she TIGER FEINT SPIKES Toni! Megan hauls Mina up, and she THROWS Mina out onto Toni! The fans are torn but Marina smiles while Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Marina goes looking under the ring, Megan helps out, and they go to the table. They dump off the gifts to take the table itself. The Love Bombs regroup while said table is put in the ring. Marina starts setting the table while Megan DECK SToni! And SMACKS her with that kendo stick! Megan SMACKS Mina, too! The Love Bombs writhe, Marina RAMS Toni into railing, and she puts Toni in. Then Marina drags Mina up, puts her in the ring, and Megan aims for the table. Toni slips free but Marina KICKS her down! Megan CLUBS Toni, then she goes out to fetch the present on the other table. The shape is rather suspicious…

Megan says it’s for her, what could it be? Well, Marina got herself a frying pan, and then surprise! Megan unwraps a golden chair! And she throws it to Toni, so she can SHOTGUN it into her! Dynamite returns to single picture as the Love Bombs are put through the ropes. Marina SMACKS Mina in the stomach with the frying pan while Megan CLUBS Toni in the chest! And again, and again, and again! The Mega Problems go all the way to TEN, then they flip off the fans. The fans boo, but Megan has her chair! And she SMACKS Toni on the back! Marina SPANKS Toni with the pan! SMACK with the chair! SPANK with the pan!

But Mina climbs! Toni ducks the double shot, chair and frying pan collide! Marina is disarmed, Mina MISSILE DROPKICKS the chair into Megan’s face! The fans fire up and Toni drags Megan to the apron! Marina BOOTS Mina down, but Toni gives Megan a STORM ZERO through the outside table!! The fans lose their minds, but Marina says screw it, she’s going to wrap this up. SAYANAGI on Mina, into MOTHER’S MILK!! Mina endures, fights the hold, but Toni is able to slide a piece of a cue stick to Mina! Mina grabs hold, and she DIGS it into Marina’s face!! Mina goes after Marina with the sharp wood!! Mina then jackknife bridges, TWO!!

Mina URAKENS Marina! Marina tumbles, Mina fires up, and Toni stands with her. Toni gives Mina the boost to go up, up, and SUPER DUPER CROSSBODY! Down goes Marina! The fans fire up as Mina puts Marina back in! Toni finds that golden chair, brings it around, and Mina climbs up! FLYING SLINGBLADE into the chair!! Cover, MEGAN CLOBBERS TONI ONTO IT! Megan still lives, but Mina brings Marina up. Mina aims for the table, Marina fights the suplex, and Marina snap suplexes Mina first! Then Megan SPEARS Mina down through the other table!! But Toni waistlocks Megan! Marina SMACKS Toni with the chair!

Megan and Marina coordinate, they get Toni up for the FATE’S- NO, Toni slips free, and she STORM ZEROS Megan onto Marina! Megan tumbles out, Marina writhes, and SANTA IS HERE?! The fans go wild for Santa Claus, and he says he has a gift for Marina. Marina says fine, give it here! She snatches the box away, but it’s just a MIDDLE FINGER! That’s not Santa, that’s LUTHER! And Toni GERMAN SUPLEXES Marina onto tacks??! And then THE SHOE~! And the BIG PACKAGE! LOVE BOMBS WIN!!

Winners: The Timeless Love Bombs, by pinfall (advance to the finals)

They raised the stakes and they won the gable, Toni & Mina are moving on to the championship match! But will the inaugural champions be TIMELESS? Or will they #FeelTheWrath as Winter is Coming?

AEW hears from The Triangle of Madness and their nemeses.

Julia Hart calls out Jamie Hayter. “What’d you not learn from Blood & Guts?” Thekla tells Kris Statlander, “You sure do a lot of sticking your alien ass into the Triangle’s business. Why do you call yourself ‘Big Stat Daddy’ when you really just a little baby b*tch?” But Kris says says she has never heard someone talk so much like a champ without actually being one. But hey, fake it ’til you make it, right? So just name the time, the place, the date, the state, and she will not hesitate to make you call her Daddy! Jamie says wow! Now, while Jamie and Kris might not be friends, they have enemies in common.

So how about this? Cardiff Collision, there’s not much else to do in Cardiff except beat people up, so it will be them doing that to Skye & Julia. Kris likes that idea. And then after that, Kris and Jamie can… have a little chat. About what? Oh, right. But can Stat & Hayter Hit Hard enough to break the Triangle of Madness? Or will the Sisters of Sin drag them down into the abyss?

The Dark Order walks ‘n’ talks.

Evil Uno says, “Finally it happens! A moment years in the making. Dark Order is back on Dynamite and we have an opportunity like none other. If we win tonight, we get a chance at the AEW Trios Championships. We have been-” But then Alex Reynolds notices Hangman Page storming past and stops him. Reynolds tells The Cowboy, “Look, I know you’re lookin’ for blood, but whatever you do, don’t ruin this for us.” Hangman says, “Fine. I owe you that, at least. But the second this match is over, they are mine.” Hangman heads out, Uno says ignore that and let’s get ’em! Will Uno, Silver & Reynolds finally turn things around? Or will they see The Opps are #NeverLacking?

Backstage interview with Mercedes Mone.

Renee is now with The CEO, “Thirteen Belts Mone,” #UltimoMone, and namely the Undisputed ROH Women’s World Television Champion. Renee notes that we have not seen Mone since Full Gear when she was unsuccessful in her match against- Mone stops Renee there, then takes a breath. And another. Mone says, “I am a global icon. Thirteen Belts Ultimo Mone. PWI’s number one wrestler of the year. Does that sound UNSUCCESSFUL to you?!” Renee says no, it does not, sorry. But this Friday, she defends the ROH Women’s TV title against Red Velvet- “Who I’ve already beaten,” Mone points out.

Mone says if TK wants Mone to beat Velvet again, she’ll gladly do it. “Red, you wanna talk a lot of talk on ROH and Collision, when you know I’m not there. But here I am on Dynamite, where I am every single week, and where are you? Home? Hiding? Still crying about this title that I took from you? HAHAHAHA! Well, Red, since you said I am a fighting champion, I’ll give you another chance to fall off the Money Train again. And since you wanna say I never show up to ROH, you can watch me this week on Honor Club to get a little preview of Final Battle. Because, Red, there’s a price to pay when you talk down on Mone.”

The CEO smiles as she holds up the ROH Women’s TV title, but will Mone’s first week on ROH TV also be her last?

FTR speaks.

Stokely Hathaway says, “Tonight is the greatest night of my life. Why? Because FTR are the AEW World Tag Team Champions. But I need to address what happened last Saturday on Collision. The greatest tag team of all time were having a celebration, but they were interrupted by Austin Gunn & Juice Robinson. But the worst part about it all is they said they wanted to be champions for Colten Gunn & Jay White. So, lemme get this straight. Instead of wanting to be champions for AEW, instead of wanting to cement your legacy, instead of wanting to inspire a whole generation of tag team wrestlers… You wanna be champions to pop the boys on the injured list? How pathetic!”

Cash Wheeler tells Austin & Juice, “You talk about how you were the last team to beat FTR, but make no mistake, that is the last time you’ll beat FTR. When it matters, you will not get the job done. Austin, who was it that ended your AEW World Tag Team title reign? I don’t remember. Oh, wait, it was us. And Juice, you don’t care if it takes an hour? 15 minutes in, you couldn’t get the job done, #AndStill. When it comes down to it, you are always gonna be Billy’s Boy & Mr. Storm.” Dax Harwood asks if Juice has anything been more than a walk-behinder. Dax has known Juice’s whole career, and all he’s ever been is the bag carrier.

And now, Juice is the leader of the group, power has gone to his head, and he decided that he’s just as good as the big dogs, the world tag team champions. Good luck with that. And Austin, how great that he has this nice, cushy job thanks to your daddy. You’ll have a job forever, this is a paycheck for you. But for Dax, this is his life! 21 years in, and this title is his life! And Austin went and put his hand on Dax’s life? Saturday night, FTR will be live on Collision, and they dare Bang Bang Gang to do that one more time. #TopGuysOut.

The Opps all soak up the heat while Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Hook paces, Hobbs gives him a neck massage, then Hook goes out to fetch Silver. Hook whips Silver into the steel steps! Hook drags Silver up, puts him back in the ring, and drags him up again. Hook CLAWS Silver’s eyes, bumps him off buckles, then THROWS him away! Hook soaks up heat, stalks Silver to the corner, then stomps away! The ref counts, Hook stops at 4, and he soaks up more heat. Hobbs smirks as he drags Silver over, and he tags Hook. Hook stomps Silver’s leg, then drags him around again. Dynamite returns to single picture, the fans rally up, and silver fires elbows! Hook swings, but Silver ducks to GERMAN SUPLEX! Both men are down and the fans fire up! Hot tag to Uno and the fans fire up!

CHOP on Shibata! LARIAT on Hook, CHOP LARIAT on Shibata! Then Uno BOOTS Shibata, kicks Hook, and he reels them both in! DOUBLE DDTS! The fans fire up with Uno, but Hobbs is back! The fans chant for “MEAT! MEAT! MEAT!” Uno CHOPS Hobbs, but Hobbs just smirks. Uno CHOPS, and then SLAPS! Hobbs is pissed now! Uno dodges the lariat, comes back, but Hobbs LARIATS after all!

Hobbs scoops for the WORLD’S MOST DANGEROUS SLAM! Cover, Silver & Reynolds break it! The fans fire up as they HAMMER away on Hobbs! But Hobbs is just annoyed, and he grabs both of them by the neck! But they break free, and they DOUBLE SUPERKICK! The fans fire up, but Hobbs stays up! Hobbs runs in, Silver & Reynolds dodge his lariats, but they get caught into STEREO SLEEPERS! Hobbs hits the SPINEBUSTER on Uno! Cover, Opps win!

Winners: The Opps, by pinfall (deny The Dark Order a title match)

The Opps Dojo trainees celebrate with their senseis, but then wait! Here comes Hangman! He kept his promise, he waited until things were over! Hook runs for it but Hangman DECKS Shibata and fires hands on Hobbs! His fist is wrapped in chain as he HAMMERS Hobbs! Hobbs shoves Hangman away, but Hangman fires more shots! But Shibata KICKS Hangman’s leg out! Shibata & Hobbs mug Hangman, and Hobbs wraps his own fist in chain! but Hangman ducks and the LARIAT hits Shibata! Then Hangman brings out a glass beer bottle from inside his jacket! Hangman SMASHES it on Hobbs’ head!

Hangman then goes to the apron, takes aim, and slingshot, but security rushes out here! They save Hobbs from the Buckshot and swarm Hangman! The fans boo but The Opps retreat for now. Hangman throws hands on security! He doesn’t care about fines, that’s just money! He BOOTS one guy, then slingshots for the BUCKSHOT on another! The Cowboy storms up the ramp to chase after The Opps, but will he get the complete revenge that he wants before World’s End?

BREAKING NEWS for AEW’s December line-up!

First, this year’s Holiday Bash will be a THREE-HOUR SPECIAL, combining Dynamite & Collision for one awesome night! Then, the Dynamite Diamond Ring Battle Royale returns! The last two remaining stars will then advance to the “Dynamite Diamond Ring Finals” at the Dynamite on 34th Street event on Christmas Eve! Then the winner of that match will get their shot at the AEW World Championship for Dynamite: Maximum Carnage, January 14th of the New Year! Who cashes in for the biggest Christmas present anyone could ever ask for?

Backstage interview with The Don Callis Family.

Specifically, Renee is with Okada, Fletcher and The Jackal himself. She asks if it is safe to assume that The Bucks will not be joining The Family any time soon? Callis says he is tired of answering negative questions. Why is she so negative all the time? Okada says what happened out there was all Takeshita’s fault. He let them down again! Callis says sorry, but no, Takeshita is busy with training for his own Continental Classic match this Saturday on Collision. But then Takeshita appears! And The Alpha says, “Actually, Don… I’m right here.” Callis & Kyle step in between Okada and Takeshita to keep things civil.

Callis says he is very confident that with these three studs, the Continental Championship will come back to the Don Callis Family. Renee asks that if he is so confident, why is he not putting both parts of the Unified Championship as the prize? Callis says he’ll make this as simple as he can for her and the fans, as there are a lot of uneducated blondes who don’t understand basic things. At All In, Okada went in as Continental Champion, he defeated Kenny Omega in one of the greatest days in Callis’ life. That meant Okada became International Champion. Now, to some people, these are big concepts that they can’t understand.

As such, The Callis Family have created a symbol which is the Unified Championship, representing the two legs, aka the International and the Continental. Is that easy to understand? Yes, but that doesn’t really answer the question. Why not put both legs in? Callis says because HE is not an idiot, he doesn’t do things to be charitable, he doesn’t make risky bets. Why put the International Championship on the line for anything unless they had to? That’s what degenerate gamblers like Nick Jackson do! Kyle says regardless, with Kyle at 6 points, Takeshita on 3 and Okada on 3, the Callis Family is guaranteed to bring home the Continental Championship at the end.

Callis says he feels good hearing those words. Kyle also promises that the International Championship is not going anywhere. It is staying right here. Love it! But will the family really stay dominant through the rest of the C2? Or could someone really ruin those plans for them?

Hangman Page speaks.

The Cowboy paces around, then shouts, “For THREE year, for three years, I’ve fought to get back to the world championship. I gave three years of my life, of my sweat, of my blood, to get to that championship. I fought Ospreay, I fought Fletcher, I fought everyone on this damn roster to get it, and the person who cost me the world championship is Hook! Is HOOK! Joe, for you, for you, Full Gear was The Opps’ crowning moment. But for me, it was but a bump in the road, Joe, because whether it’s from you or from Eddie, I will take that championship back. It will be mine.

“And Hobbs, Shibata, if you want to fight, then you have got one. Next week, Atlanta, Georgia, Winter is Coming. Hobbs & Shibata, I will not be alone. You know who is coming for you. Get your affairs in order.” Does that mean what it sounds like?! Will Hobbs & Shibata have a shootout with The Cowboy and The Most Dangerous Man in AEW?

2025 Continental Classic Blue League: Jon Moxley VS Claudio Castagnoli!

For the first time in their AEW careers, we see The Maniac and the Swiss Cyborg battle it out 1v1, and for a very crucial second round win in the C2. It is Death Rider VS Death Rider and iron sharpens iron, but who will be left standing at the top of the block?

The bell rings, the fans are losing their minds already, and the two circle. They feel things out, Claudio shoots in for a leg, then a facelock, but Moxley fights the suplex. Moxley waistlocks, then he clinches, but Claudio powers him down to the mat. Claudio goes for the arm, Moxley fights it off, and the ref only now realizes Marina Shafir is lingering ringside. He orders her to leave per the Continental Rules, and she obliges. Claudio puts Moxley in the corner, the ref counts, but both men take their time letting go. The fans rally as the two circle again. They knuckle lock, they go shoulder to shoulder in a Test of Strength, and the fans rally for “BALD! BALD! BALD!”

Claudio powers Moxley to the mat, cover, ONE as Moxley gets the arm up. Claudio pushes it down, ONE as Moxley gets the other arm up. Claudio pushes the arm back down, ONE as Moxley bridges! Moxley fights and turns, but Claudio DOUBLE STOMPS him down! The fans are torn, but Claudio stands Moxley up to UPPERCUT! Claudio stalks Moxley to the corner, UPPERCUTS again, and stalks Moxley to another corner. Claudio CHOPS, whips, and runs up, but into a BOOT! Moxley gets in Claudio’s face to egg him on, then pie faces so he can CHOP! Moxley fires forearms and CHOPS on repeat!

Claudio scowls but Moxley CLAWS Claudio’s back! Moxley puts Claudio in a corner, then climbs up to rain down fists! The fans count along, Moxley goes past TEN, then CLAWS Claudio’s eyes after about 13! The ref counts, Moxley hops down, and he wrenches to wristlock. Moxley SNAPS the fingers! Claudio still scoops to BACKBREAKER! Moxley bails out, Claudio pursues, and Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Claudio RAMS Moxley into steel steps! Moxley falls in a heap, clutches his shoulder, but Claudio brings the steel steps around. Claudio stands them up on their side, then has Moxley by the legs! Claudio SWINGS Moxley into the steel steps! Moxley is down in a daze while the ref reprimands Claudio. Claudio rolls into the ring to wait on Moxley. Moxley drags himself to the railing while the ring count climbs, but Claudio goes back out after him. Moxley pokes Claudio in the eyes! The ref reprimands Moxley now but he ROCKS and CHOPS Claudio on repeat! Moxley whips, Claudio reverses, and Moxley hits barriers hard! He even tumbles up and over them!

The fans cheer as Moxley is down in the front row. Claudio hops the barriers to haul Moxley up, and RAM him into the barriers again! Then he UPPERCUTS Moxley! Moxley flops back over the barriers, and we see he is busted open from the collision with the steps. Claudio pursues Moxley, puts him in the ring, and storms in after him. Claudio runs to BOOT Moxley! Moxley flounders to ropes, Claudio bumps him off buckles, and bumps him off more buckles! Moxley staggers around, Claudio GRINDS Moxley’s face against the ropes, then headlock punches! Moxley fires a forearm, Claudio fires back, and repeat!

Dynamite returns to single picture once more as the forearms keep going! The fans rally, duel, and fire up as the shots keep going! Moxley HEADBUTTS Claudio again and again! A little double edged, but Moxley runs, only for Claudio to catch the shotgun dropkick! And now GIANT SWING! The fans fire up as Moxley goes around and around and around, and Claudio stops at eight to step through the legs! SHARPSHOOTER! Moxley endures, blood pouring out, and Claudio sits deep on the hold! Moxley fights, claws at the mat, and reaches out. But Claudio turns around to shift into a CROSSFACE! And he rolls Moxley from the ropes!

Moxley endures, even with the hands in his face! The fans rally and duel as Moxley fights to a cover, TWO! Claudio lets go, but now Moxley has him! BULLY CHOKE! Claudio fights up, Moxley shifts sides, and he becomes a backpack! Claudio swings Moxley off of him, only for Moxley to ROCK Claudio! Claudio fires back, the shots go back and forth again! The fans fire up as this gets fast ‘n’ furious! Moxley JABS, BODY SHOTS, and FOREARMS! But Claudio ducks a shot to UPPERCUT! Moxley staggers back, Claudio runs up, but Moxley DUMPS him out! Then he DIVES! Claudio is sent into the desk!

The fans fire up again and Moxley rises up. The fans hope these two “Fight Forever!” but first off, C2 matches have 20 minute time limits, it’d be a draw if this went forever! Moxley hurries after Claudio, puts him in the ring, and he runs up, but into an UPPER- NO, Moxley makes it a backslide! TWO, CUTTER!! Claudio staggers up, and he LARIATS in return! Both men are down and the fans cheer on “A E DUB! A E DUB!” We get the 10 minute notice, we’re halfway through that aforementioned time limit. The two men rise up with the standing count, and they’re up at 5 of 10. Claudio reels Moxley in, Gotch Lift, but Moxley fights the lift!

Moxley pushes on the legs, slips around, and he has the SLEEPER! The fans rally, Claudio endures, but Moxley spins Claudio to try the Gotch Lift! Claudio BACKDROPS, Moxley sunset flips it! TWO, and Claudio has the legs again! But Moxley bridges up to drag Claudio down to a cover! TWO!! Claudio escapes, both men stagger up, and Claudio UPPERCUTS in the corner! Claudio throws off the elbow pad and runs, but into a POLISH HAMMER! Then LARIAT!! Both men are down again and the fans fire up! Moxley huffs ‘n’ puffs as he rises up again, and he watches Claudio. The fans rally, both men stand, and Moxley runs! CURB- NO, Claudio dodges!

Moxley comes back, CURB STOMP after al!! Cover, TWO!! Claudio survives, but Moxley is right on him! REAR NAKED CHOKE!! Claudio endures, fights around, but Moxley shifts to a facelock. Claudio still rises, and he lifts Moxley to DUMP him out of the ring! The fans fire up and Claudio rolls outside. Claudio runs up to UPPERCUT Moxley into the railing! Moxley staggers all the way to the far side, so Claudio just runs in again! DOUBLE STOMPS on Moxley against the chair!! The fans fire up as Claudio stands Moxley up against the steps. Claudio UPPERCUTS again and again, then gets space. Claudio runs in and UPPERCUTS Moxley against the steps!

Claudio puts Moxley back in the ring, then hurries to run and LARIAT! Cover, TWO! Moxley survives, but Claudio reels him right in! Claudio tucks the arms, RICOLA~ BOMB!! Cover, TWO!!! Moxley survives, and he just eggs Claudio on!! The fans are thunderous as they’re forehead to forehead, and Claudio UPPERCUTS! Moxley fires a forearm, Claudio UPPERCUTS, repeat! Shot for shot, then Moxley CLAWS the eyes! Moxley runs, but into the POP-UP- NO! Moxley CLAWS eyes again! But Claudio still ROCKS Moxley! Moxley kicks low, PARADIGM SHIFT!! But Moxley can’t make the cover, he’s too beat up!

The fans rally up while Moxley and Claudio go to corners. Moxley and Claudio stare each other down, then they rise up. The five minute warning, and UPPERCUT!!! Cover, CLAUDIO WINS!!!

Winner: Claudio Castagnoli, by pinfall (gains 3 points; Moxley earns 0)

It was a brutal 15 minutes, and then it all ends in the blink of an eye! The Swiss Cyborg, the Emissary of Violence, just beat the former AEW World Champion and the Death Riders’ leader! The other Death Riders arrive to celebrate and support both men, but it is now Claudio leading the way in Blue League! But now both men have to turn right around for their third C2 matches! Claudio VS Mascara Dorada, Moxley VS Konosuke Takeshita, will the Death Riders continue to dominate the block?

My Thoughts:

An awesome Dynamite here as like the one non-themed episode between all the holiday episodes. Great promo segment from Joe and Eddie to open things, and Eddie got to verbally serve Joe because in the end, Joe’s gonna win at Winter is Coming. And I found it a bit funny that Eddie said he was wrapping things so we could get to wrestling, and then Opps had to talk for themselves. But naturally, they had a match and used The Dark Order to stick it to Hangman. Great stuff with Hangman going after The Opps, scaring them off and all that, and then great promo afterward to set up what is clearly Shibata & Hobbs VS Hangman & Swerve. That will be awesome stuff, really.

But with the sudden news of the convoluted route to a title match at Maximum Carnage, you can bet Hangman and Swerve each get in the Dynamite Diamond Battle Royal for Holiday Bash. Then it could easily be Hangman VS Swerve for Dynamite on 34th Street, and the winner of that faces Joe for the title. And even with the 40+ day road map set out, I bet Joe still wins at Maximum Carnage. With that, maybe it is Swerve VS Joe in Arizona, then we get Hangman VS Joe: The Final Round after that. Maybe. I don’t remember if there are PPVs in January, but a PPV feels like the only place Joe would lose the title.

Very good promo from Triangle of Madness and good response from Hayter and Statlander. They’ll have a really good tag match, and I feel like Thekla gets involved. It probably won’t be a straight up Kris VS Hayter, we might get a Triple Threat of Kris VS Hayter VS Thekla at World’s End or something. Very good promo from Harley & Willow to not only give us perspective on their friendship, but also hype up the tag tournament. Awesome “Hardcore Holiday Death Match” tonight, they took holiday theming to a very creative place, especially with Luther Claus showing up. We could’ve had one less false finish, and then I was actually a little surprised Toni & Mina won. But now we get Faces VS Faces, the tag title match will be awesome now.

Very good promo from Mark Briscoe on his own, he was Serious Mark here, and that was good stuff for calling out Daniel Garcia. Not sure we also then needed a Conglomeration group promo where he was Happy Mark again, but it was still a good promo to help hype up Cassidy VS Roddy for Collision. And them making a point of Darby being in the hospital, hopefully that isn’t a real injury, let alone a serious one, but it is understandable why we’re getting some staggered schedules in the tournament now since we won’t get Darby’s match with Mike Bailey and they gotta use who they have.

And of course, awesome stuff with the Continental Classic, as well as using it to help along other stories. Obviously the Conglomeration dysfunction is one, but there is also the Don Callis Family’s feud with the new new new Elite, and even their own dysfunction from Okada and Takeshita. Okada VS Pac was awesome, great quick pin win for Okada. Then Fletcher VS Knight managed to outdo Okada VS Pac, and a great win for Fletcher to keep winning. I believe I said this last week, but it is odd timing that The Elite and DCF can seemingly set up a 5v5 but Blood & Guts is past. Moxley VS Claudio was an awesome main event, really pushing that overrun, but awesome win for Claudio. This can even further add to the doubts in Moxley’s leadership skills, and the eventual mutiny by the crew.

My Score: 9/10
