The American Dragon is back and Minneapolis is fired up to see him! Bryan goes to the ring and Tony Schiavone is there waiting for him to say we can all tell Bryan is here with purpose. So first, there is speculation that after the loss to Daniel Garcia, Bryan is not 100%. Second, Garcia has said he is the “Dragonslayer,” and he will not only defeat Bryan but end his career. Bryan takes the mic to say, “To be honest, I’ve been wrestling almost 23 years, I don’t know if I will ever be 100%. But I don’t need to be 100%, I need to live 100%! And there is nothing that makes me feel more alive than being in this ring!”
Fans cheer that and Bryan continues to say, “I will never willfully stop wrestling. Daniel Garcia said if I get in the ring with him, he’ll slay the dragon, end my career. Do you know what? Someone is gonna have to damn end my career because I am not going to end this ring on my own. But my career will not end this Wednesday!” But then Garcia is on stage and telling Bryan to “hold up, hold up, hold up. Bryan, it’s no secret that Bryan Danielson is my hero! You’re my hero, Bryan! But it sounds like to me that my hero is prepared to lose. It sounds like to me that my hero is coming up with excuses.” Fans boo that as Garcia gets in the ring.
Garcia says that he isn’t sure how many times he can put up with this! Bryan retires, then comes back, then retires again, then comes back again. Bryan can’t keep putting Garcia through this, it hurts Garcia. Garcia says when Bryan hurts Garcia, Garcia wants to hurt Bryan back. And when you step in the ring with Garcia again, Garcia will hurt him so bad, that he ends Bryan’s career for good! And then he won’t just be the Dragonslayer, he’ll be the Greatest Technical Sports Entertainer on the Planet.
Fans boo and Bryan responds with, “I’m okay with people saying they’re gonna end my career. Ever since I came to AEW, I’ve been talking about violence. I love violence, and violence begets violence. But do you know what really pisses me off? It’s that sports entertainment BS!” Fans cheer for that! Bryan knows what Chris Jericho’s been shoving down Garcia’s throat, and it IS that sports entertainment crap! Do you all know that this kid, Daniel Garcia, was one of the first names Bryan mentioned when talking about starting the Blackpool Combat Club? And why? Because Bryan saw Garcia at 21 years old go 60 MINUTES in front of 250 people, showing them the best wrestling Bryan’s seen in a young talent in YEARS!
So let Bryan ask Garcia, and he wants Garcia to think about it all the way to Wednesday, when Bryan’s stomping Garcia’s face in! “Do you wanna be the Best Technical Sports Entertainer on the Planet? Or, or… Look at me when I talk to you!” Bryan even grabs Garcia’s face to keep him looking forward! “If I was your hero, do you want to be the Best Technical Wrestler in the world? And I’ll leave that up to you.” Bryan drops the mic and leaves Garcia to mull that over. What path will Garcia choose while his career is still young?
AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championships: Sammy Guevara & Tay Melo VS Dante Martin & Skye Blue!
Another young protégé of Chris Jericho, and his blushing new bride, are back in action! And for the first time in AEW, they defend the belts that signify their bond! But will the Spanish God and his Brazilian Goddess celebrate a title win on top of their marriage? Or will Angel Dorado & Cielo Azul prove that for once, love doesn’t conquer all?
The introductions are made, the matching red ‘n’ blue belts are raised, and we see if the hometown hero of Minneapolis and the girl next door can win the big one!
The teams sort out, and Skye insists that it’s ladies first. Tay and Sammy kiss for luck, but Dante tells Sammy to leave that stuff backstage. Sammy shoves Dante down! So Skye fires off on Tay! And Dante TACKLES Sammy! The fans fire up as the scraps continue, and the ladies spill out of the ring! Dante TACKLES Sammy again, so it seems the gentlemen are starting instead! Tay RAMS Skye into the railing, Sammy shoves Dante again but Dante trips Sammy up! Dante rains down more forearms while fans fire up for the 612! Sammy gets up and KNEES Dante, then soaks up the heat. Sammy CHOPS Dante against ropes, then whips him to ropes.
Dante reverses, knees and CHOPS Sammy in return, then ROCKS and CHOPS him again. Dante whips Sammy to ropes, Tay catches Sammy to stop him then tags in. Skye is to come in automatically, but she tags to climb up and CROSSBODY! Skye then gets around but Tay throws her off with the judo hip toss. Skye shoves Tay so Tay SLAPS Skye! Skye smirks and SLAPS back! And then fires off fast hands! Fans fire up but Tay trips Skye! Tay steps through, rolls and uses the leg lock to THROW Skye! Tay steps over into a modified STF, and she chinbars Skye into an almost Bow ‘n’ Arrow style stretch! Skye endures, scoots but Tay makes it a cover, ONE!
Skye has a cover, ONE! Skye ROCKS Tay, whips her to ropes, and fans rally. Tay holds ropes but Skye SHINING WIZARDS! And SHINING WIZARDS again! Tay shoves Skye, Skye dodges and mule kicks a leg! Tay blocks the superkick but now the DRAGON WHIP! Fans fire up and Skye runs, but Sammy swipes at her! The ref reprimands, but Tay BOOTS Skye down! Fans boo SamTay while Rampage goes picture in picture.
Tay stomps Skye, covers her, TWO! Tay is frustrated and she talks trash on Dante. Tay stalks Skye to ropes to CHOKE her! The ref counts, Tay lets off at 4, and then she drags Skye up to whip her into a DROP SAYANAGI! And then another! And another, but Skye blocks to a cradle! TWO, and Tay ROCKS Skye! Tay kicks Skye around, drags her up, and she kisses Sammy. That’s not a tag so Tay CLUBS away on Skye. Tay cravats to throw knee after knee into Skye, and then whips her into a neutral corner. Tay runs in and BOOTS Skye! Tay runs in again but Skye dodges the boot to roll Tay up, with a bridge, TWO!!
Rampage returns to single picture and Tay grabs a leg, but Skye ENZIGURIS Tay down! Fans fire up as Skye crawls, hot tag to Dante! That brings Sammy in, but Dante fakes him out into a TACKLE! Dante rains down fists, Sammy shoves him away but Dante rallies with forearm smashes! Dante then ducks a haymaker to DROPKICK Sammy out! Minneapolis fires up and Dante takes aim. Tay runs in but Dante goes up and over her! Dante DIVES and takes out Sammy! Fans fire up as Dante puts Sammy in fast. Dante slides in but Tay anchors a foot! The ref reprimands, Dante drags Tay into the ring with that foot, and Sammy grabs Dante!
Sammy clinches but Dante breaks free. Dante kicks, Sammy blocks and flips Dante, over Tay! Dante then uses Tay as a step to hit a DESTROYER on Sammy!! Sammy flops down, Dante covers, TWO!! Sammy survives and Dante can’t believe it! “This is Awesome!” and Dante drags Sammy up. Sammy KNEES Dante back, torture racks, but Dante slips off! Skye tags in, Dante gets Sammy in a half nelson! Sammy elbows free, Tay tilt-o-whirl DDTs Dante! But Skye FLYING RANAS Sammy! The ladies cleared the ring, Tay SUPERKICKS and hooks Skye, TAY K O!! Cover, SamTay win!

There was a lot of fire in the hearts of Dante & Skye, but not enough to burn down Sammy & Tay. Will Mr. & Mrs. Champion continue to reign on everyone’s parade?

Rey Fenix says, “After a long road, the Lucha Brothers are coming back for gold.” Penta, with Alex Abrahantes translating, tells Andrade and the world, “This hasn’t finished. But next week, the All-Atlantic Champion returns, and Death Triangle will be reunited and will fight for the Trios Championships.” The Bastard, Pac, is returning from his European tour, will he, Penta & Fenix be ready for The United Empire’s Aussie Open and Will Ospreay in the opening round?
Parker Boudreaux w/ The Trustbusters VS Sonny Kiss!
Ari Daivari recruited this brutal blue chipper to the group, knowing this would be a very wise investment. Will Parker pay off right away? Or will the Concrete Rose prove not to judge a book by its cover?
The bell rings and Parker CLOBBERS Kiss! Kiss flounders, Parker drags him up with a facelock and CLUBS away on the corner! Parker lets off as the ref counts and runs in, but Kiss dodges the splash! Kiss ROCKS Parker, then runs to handspring and SLAP! And uppercut! But Parker grabs Kiss by the neck, for a CHOKE SLAM! Parker snarls and drags Kiss up to a back suplex SLAM!! Cover, Parker wins!

Slim J is pumped for Parker but Parker just looks hungry for more. Will the Trustbusters eat well when the Trios Championship begins?
La Faccion Ingobernable meets with the former Andrade Family Office.
Andrade formally introduces Rush to Butcher, Blade and Private Party. Rush doesn’t like Private Party. But Andrade says it’s fine! The LFI will win those Trios Championships, unlike Private Party against Keith Lee. Jose even adds that was embarrassing. Isiah Kassidy tells Jose to shut up, and he tells El Idolo that people like him have been sleeping on Private Party for a very long time. But that’s fine, because it all changes. Private Party will wake Andrade up. Well good, maybe Private Party can get this group those world tag titles. Upper management leaves, will Kassidy & Quen redeem themselves in the eyes of the ungovernables?
Beardhausen VS Gunn Club!
Erick Redbeard returns to AEW alongside the Very Nice, Very Evil Danhausen to teach these Ass Boys something! Not quite sure what, but will Danhausen & Erick put a curse on the Gunn Club? Or can Austin & Colten redeem themselves after losing in the Dumpster Match?
The teams sort out and Erick starts against Colten. Fans taunt the “ASS~ BOYS! ASS~ BOYS!” Colten shrugs that off to tie up with Erick, and Erick shoves Colten down! Fans fire up but Austin tags in. Austin steps to Erick now, but then decides not. Psych! Austin rushes in, but Erick runs him over! The boys bail out and regroup and Billy asks what the hecc! Billy tells Austin to get in there, but then Danhausen tags in! Fans fire up as Danhausen flexes on Austin. He powers up and… CURSES Austin! But Austin DECKS Danhausen! So no hex? Austin bumps Danhausen off buckles as Rampage goes picture in picture.
Austin tags Colten, Colten bumps Danhausen off more buckles then stomps away. Colten whips corner to corner, runs in, but Danhausen boots him away! Danhausen goes up, reels Colten in, and puts him in the ROPE BUTTERFLY! Austin protests but that only means Colten suffers longer! The ref counts, Danhausen lets go at 4, and then he slingshots up to the top! But while the ref is checking on Colten, Austin sucker punches Danhausen! Colten then DROPKICKS Danhausen down! Colten soaks up the heat, drags Danhausen up and brings him around to bump off buckles. Colten stomps Danhausen, the ref counts, and he lets off at 4.
Colten taunts Erick but then backs off as Erick steps in. Colten bumps Danhausen off buckles, tags Austin in, but Danhausen fights back! He fires off haymakers on Austin, but Austin kicks low! Austin ROCKS Danhausen, taunts the fans, and Billy taunts Danhausen with an Orange Cassidy thumbs up. Austin drags Danhausen up to stomp away in the corner, then lets off as the ref counts. The ref reprimands Austin but misses Colten CHOKING Danhausen! Colten CLUBS Danhausen then tells fans they saw nothing! Austin stomps Danhausen, drags him up, and brings him around as Rampage goes to break.
Rampage returns and Austin has Danhausen in a headlock. Fans rally up and Danhausen slips away! Austin rushes after him but Danhausen slips under! And then under again, hot tag to Erick! Redbeard rallies on the Gunn Clubs, BOOT for Austin, DROPKICK for Colten! Then a SPLASH and TOSS for Colten, then he runs at Austin, Austin BOOTS Erick, but Erick TOSSES Austin out onto Colten! Erick goes out now and runs in to CROSSBODY both Ass Boys! Fans fire up as Erick puts Austin in and fans rally up for the slingshot senton! Shoutout to Brodie Lee! Then a HEEL KICK! Cover, Colten breaks it!
Fans boo as Colten hammers away on Erick! Colten rags Erick up, Austin joins in, but Erick fights the double suplex to DOUBLE SUPLEX Gunn Club! Fans are thunderous, and Danhausen wants back in! Tag and Danhausen is in! Erick drags Austin up for him, Danhausen hooks Austin up, and Erick runs! But Colten distracts the ref and Billy dumps Erick out! Fans boo and Austin turns things around into a FAMOUSER! Cover, Gunn Club wins!!

Big assist from Daddy Ass, and yet Billy gets the mic to say, “Oh my God, are you kidding me? Really, that’s what you’re giving us? No wonder they call you Ass Boys, and no wonder I miss The Acclaimed.” Ouch… Billy means that the guys need to toughen up a bit. A lot of bit! They sure ain’t doing what he’s taught them, that’s a fact! But that’s okay, on Dynamite, they’ve got another match to prove themselves with. But who is it? Billy doesn’t say, will Austin & Colten just have to tough it out? Wait, Stokely Hathaway is in the crowd, offering his business card again. Austin & Colten don’t accept, and they follow after Billy.
Backstage interview with Keith Lee & Swerve Strickland.
Lexi Nair is with the AEW World Tag Team Champions, Swerve in Our Glory. Earlier, Andrade made it clear that he wants Private Party to go after the titles. Now, Keith Lee has history with them, but what makes the tag title match different? Keith chuckles and says, “Listen. I got here, Mr. Kassidy was a challenger, and I dismantled him. His friend, Quen, jumps in, I dismantle him. I don’t know if this makes sense, but if you didn’t have a chance against me, what makes you think you have a chance against us? Please, do the math.”
Swerve admits math wasn’t his best subject, when it came to counting money! But um, he added up Private Party’s losses, subtracted their wins, and carried the one, and the still don’t add up to a top five ranking team! So they will allow Private Party to be grace the champs with their presence, since no ranked team wants to, and they can #SwerveInOurGlory. Whose house? “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” Will Quen & Kassidy take advantage of this gracious opportunity? Or will they be of further disappointment to El Idolo.

Minneapolis fires up for the Cold-Hearted, Handsome Devil of a NEW FTW Champion! Hook goes to the ring, Schiavone is there, and Schiavone says there is no question that one of the most incredible debuts in AEW culminated with Hook becoming FTW Champion. As we understand it, this title is always in open challenge. Is that right, Hook? “Yup.” Okay. We’ve followed Hook’s career, short as it is still, and it has been tremendous. But wait! Out walks Zack Clayton! He introduces himself as “The Reality,” and he knows some recognize him from his reality TV superstardom in the great state of New Jersey!
Clayton tells Hook that he will take that FTW Championship from him, “you little wannabe tough guy New Yorker!” And Clayton will bring it to God’s Country, New Jersey, where it belongs! Hook nods and wave Clayton to bring it, but Clayton says no, he just got new boots made, they’re not ready it. And plus, being a Jersey guy, he does things on his terms. So how about we do this on next week’s Rampage? Hook holds up the belt to say sure thing! The match is made, will The Reality be the one getting a reality check against the Son of Taz?
Mark Henry speaks with tonight’s main eventers!
The World’s Strongest Man says Ari Daivari offered Orange Cassidy a spot in the Trustbusters, but what is it that Daivari sees in him? “Mark, Orange Cassidy is easily, hands down, one of the most talented professional wresters on the AEW roster. And now that my trust has officially kicked in, I am investing my hard earned money into the best talent around.” Look what he’s already down for Slim J and Parker Boudreaux! And Orange doesn’t wanna join that? He still wants to hang out with “those stupid goofs?” Hey, you don’t wanna join in, fine! They’ll do the next best thing, and Daivari will beat Orange’s ass in this old dump of a hometown, Minneapolis!
Wow. Well, uh, looks like there’s been enough talk. Orange, no, that’s Mark’s line. Oh. Well, it is true, though. It’s time for the main event! Will Cassidy give Quake by the Lake a Freshly Squeezed main event? Or will Daivari Dinero make that money?
Orange Cassidy w/ Best Friends VS Ari Daivari w/ The Trustbusters!
The bell rings and fans rally for “Freshly Squeezed!” as he gives Best Friends his jacket and tie-dye shirt. Cassidy lifts up his hands but Daivari has him wait before putting them in his pockets. Daivari gets a mic and says, “I’m gonna give you one last chance to join the Trustbusters. All you have to do is lay down and let me pin you, then the four of us can get out of this sh*tty town.” Fans boo and Cassidy… nods?! Cassidy lies down and Daivari says he knew Cassidy was smarter than that. Cassidy is ready, Daivari takes a moment to decide what angle he’s coming in from, but then Cassidy rolls away!
Fans laugh and Cassidy tells Daivari to hurry up. Daivari goes to cover again but Cassidy rolls away again! Daivari is annoyed, he storms up but Cassidy rolls out of the ring. And then puts his hands up, to… Nope, Cassidy has to get in the ring as Daivari rushes out! Cassidy then rolls all the way to the far side and gets a GROUP HUG from Best Friends! Got to give the people what they want! But then Boudreaux and Slim J flank them! Chuck & Trent step to them, Daivari rushes out after Cassidy! Daivari puts Cassidy in but things speed up! Cassidy ducks, waistlocks, Daivari switches but Cassidy switches back.
Daivari switches again and he SLAMS Cassidy down! Cassidy fights up, pries at the hold, goes for a leg, but then just puts his hands up. And he slips his hands inside the waistlock to put them in his pockets! Cassidy uses that to break free! And kangaroo kicks! Things speed up, Cassidy hurdles and SHOTGUNS Daivari down! Fans fire up as Cassidy kips up, and then he blocks Daivari’s kick! It was headed a little low and Daivari apologizes, but Cassidy shoves Daivari to a corner. Daivari goes up and out, Cassidy rushes in but into a shoulder! And then a DRAPING NECKBREAKER! Daivari grins and hugs it out with his team, NOT what the people want.
Daivari takes his time returning and Rampage goes picture in picture. Daivari drags Cassidy up, whips him to a corner hard, and Cassidy bounces off buckles. Daivari soaks up the heat from the fans and he stands Cassidy up. Daivari CHOPS Cassidy in the corner, follows him along the way to another corner, and then drags him up to whip corner to corner hard! Cassidy bounces off buckles again, and Daivari drags him back up. Daivari puts Cassidy in the ropes, CHOKES him, but lets off at 4. Slim J chokes Cassidy behind the ref’s back! Best Friends protest but the ref misses it all. Trent storms over but Slim J has Parker backing him up.
Daivari stomps Cassidy, then drags him up to turn him for a Neckbreaker Rack! Cassidy endures the stretch, pries at the hold, and fans rally up as Cassidy turns things back around! Daivari fights the backslide, but Cassidy fights it back. They struggle for control, Daivari swings Cassidy out for a SPINEBUSTER! Cover, TWO! Daivari is annoyed, he slaps Cassidy around, and then drags him up to TOSS out of the ring! The ref watches Slim J and Parker, and Best Friends storm over to back them off. Daivari goes out to fetch Cassidy, and RAMS him into the apron! Daivari RAMS Cassidy into railing and soaks up the heat from the front row.
Daivari puts Cassidy in the ring, talks trash on Trent, then clamps onto Cassidy with a chinlock. Cassidy endures, pries at the hold, and fans rally as he works on the grip! Rampage returns to single picture as Cassidy has the hold open. Cassidy turns things around but Daivari turns them right back and shoves Cassidy to ropes! Daivari catches Cassidy to a SLEEPER, but Cassidy flails and reaches out! Cassidy is fading, and is turning red, but he gets the ROPEBREAK! Daivari SLAPS the arms off the ropes and puts the SLEEPER on again! Fans rally as Cassidy endures again, but the ref checks. The arm drops once! And then it drops twice!
But Cassidy gets his second wind, puts both hands up, and then puts them in his pockets! Cassidy RAMS Daivari into buckles, gets free and dodges a lariat, but DOUBLE LARIATS collide on the return! Fans rally up again as both men stir. A standing count starts and climbs, the Trustbusters and Best Friends coach their guys up. Cassidy gets to a corner and drags himself up while Daivari stands. Daivari runs in but only gets buckles! Cassidy runs in but gets put on the apron! Cassidy blocks a punch to bump Daivari and then climbs. Daivari CHOPS Cassidy, then CHPOS again! Daivari hurries to set Cassidy up, but Cassidy boots Daivari away!
Cassidy adjusts now, but Daivari CHOPS him again! Daivari climbs up after Cassidy but Cassidy resists. Daivari CLUBS away on Cassidy, but Cassidy SHOVES Daivari down! Cassidy leaps, CROSSBODY! Cassidy keeps moving, ducks ‘n’ dodges to tilt-o-whirl, but no DDT! Daivari whips, Cassidy goes up but Daivari KICKS him out of the air! But Cassidy dodges again, only for Daivari to dodge and RUNNING NECKBREAKER! Cassidy staggers up, Daivari reels him in, but Cassidy suplexes first! Fans fire up as Cassidy gets to a corner. The standing count returns but fans rally for “Freshly Squeezed!”
Cassidy is up first, he gives those “devastating” kicks to Daivari, but dodges a superkick to SUPERKICK back! Cassidy prepares the arm, runs in, but Daivari turns Orange Punch into URENAGE! Cover, TWO!! Daivari is furious but he drags Cassidy up. Daivari says Cassidy should’ve accepted the offer. Daivari hammerlocks the arm, but Cassidy arm-drags him away! Cassidy tilt-o-whirls and DDTs! Fans fire up and Cassidy goes up top, DEEP IMPACT!! Cover TWO!! Daivari survives two DDTs in a row but the armband comes off! Cassidy is fired up, Slim J gets on the apron! Chuck trips him up! Parker grabs Chuck and Trent!
Cassidy DIVES to take Parker out! Cassidy hurries back up but Daivari trips him up! Daivari crosses the arms, ICONOCLASM!! Cover, TWO!! Daivari is furious but he slashes his throat! He vows to end this with the hammerlock and LION- NO, Cassidy ducks then rolls Daivari up. ONE as Daivari rolls through, Cassidy ducks the superkick to ORANGE PUNCH!! Cover, Cassidy wins!

Cassidy refused to sell out Slim J CLOBBERS Cassidy! But Best Friends TOSS Slim J out Only to turn around and get CLOBBERED by Parker! Parker SPLASHES Chuck in one corner, then SPLASHES Trent in the other, and roars! Fans boo but Orange is back up! And Sonny Kiss rushes out there! Kiss did just lose to Parker, so- Kiss LOW BLOWS Cassidy!?!? And then Parker gives Orange the SLAM!! Did Kiss just sell out to the Trustbusters!? Did that happen between now and that match earlier? Or was it all part of the plan?
My Thoughts:
A great episode to close out the first Quake by the Lake event, with some surprising developments here. While Parker Boudreaux didn’t really change his moveset up from when he was Harland in NXT, he of course wins here tonight in a squash. Then we got an awesome main event out of Cassidy VS Daivari, even with Best Friends and the Trustbusters ringside. I was a touch surprised Cassidy won, but then that brawl at the end with Kiss swerving and turning Heel was a great way for Trustbusters to stand tall here. The go-home math is now a wash, but I would think Best Friends win to advance in the trios tournament.
Speaking of that tournament, great promo from the LFI and extended faction, as well as from Keith & Swerve. A title match between Keith & Swerve VS Private Party is going to be awesome, but I would think the champions retain the titles. Private Party going after LFI would be great to turn Private Party Face. Good promo from Lucha Bros to hype up their Trios Championship tournament match, and I would think Death Triangle beats The United Empire, pinning one of Aussie Open. And their promo implies that no matter who the third man is for the Young Bucks, LFI advances. AKA it’ll be Brandon Cutler because the Bucks have no one else, and he takes the pin.
Really fun match from Gunn Club and Beardhausen, but rather surprising that Gunn Club won. Billy is really ripping into his own sons, I have a feeling he just pushes them into joining Stokely’s stable. Stokely’s got Ethan Page, he’s got Lee Moriarty, he needs a tag team before can start taking over AEW properly, and it could be Gunn Club. Great promo segment from Hook and Zack Clayton, and this is a great opportunity for Clayton to move up in the world. The Mixed Tag Championship match was a great opening match, and while Dante & Skye looked great, I figured SamTay would win to retain.
And we got a great promo from Bryan and Garcia to open the whole show, and I am so happy Bryan is taking this story the way I was hoping. Daniel Garcia is definitely more a BCC guy than a JAS guy, so I hope the best two outta three falls match starts getting Garcia to consider his position in the feud. There’s a lot that Garcia can bring into the BCC, from both a moment of dysfunction since he battled Yuta for the ROH Pure Championship and was insufferable to the other BCC members, to more fire in the faction because they can get even more titles now. I can’t wait to see where this goes next.

No time to waste, we’re jumping right to the action! Red Death and the Panama City Playboy had their previous match rudely interrupted, but now there is a ringside ban on EVERYBODY! Will Garcia prove he’s still the Face of TNT? Or will the title become Undisputed?
No introductions, the belt is raised, and it’s time to see who gets dunked on!
The bell rings and the fans rally up. Garcia and Cole hear the dueling from Omaha, and they step up. Cole offers a handshake, Garcia takes it, and the fans cheer. The two circle, tie up, and Cole wrenches to a wristlock. Garcia wrenches to wristlock in return, but Cole turns that back onto Garcia. Garcia reaches out, rolls, rolls, and rolls! Cole lets him free and Garcia wags a finger. The fans rally up as Garcia puts up the dukes, and does his dance! Cole smirks and circles with Garcia again. They feel things out, knuckle lock, then Cole wrenches and hammerlocks. Garcia reaches back to headlock, then shifts around to grind the hold.
The fans rally, Cole powers up but can’t power out as Garcia holds tight! Cole fights up and powers out the second try, but Garcia runs him over! Things keep moving, Garcia rolls over the dropdown but Cole arm-drags. Then Cole avoids Garcia’s arm-drag, to say, “ADAM COLE, BAYBAY!” The fans fire up, and Garcia smirks. Garcia and Cole reset, circle, and the fans fire up more. The two tie up, Garcia waistlocks, but Cole switches. Garcia headlocks again, then wrenches right away. Garcia waistlocks again, Cole pries at the hold, then switches. Garcia slips through to have an arm, for an ELBOW BREAKER!
The fans rally, Garcia keeps hold of Cole’s arm to then hammerlock. Cole switches that onto Garcia, then headlocks. Garcia powers up and out, but Cole runs him over! Cole brushes himself off, but Garcia grabs a leg! Cole hops around as he and Garcia stare down. Garcia throws the leg down but Cole headlocks. Cole hits a takeover, but Garcia headscissors. Cole kips free, the two tie up, and they fight for control. Garcia headlocks for a takeover, Cole headscissors, but Garcia kips free. Garcia stands tall and he stares Cole down. The fans cheer, Cole gets to his feet, and the two reset. They feel things out, knuckle lock, and Garcia waistlocks.
Cole switches, Garcia switches back, but Cole grabs the ROPEBREAK! Garcia and Cole clinch as the ref counts. Garcia gives as scuff, but Cole pie faces him back! They tie up, go along the ropes now, in and out of a corner, then end up in another clinch. The ref counts, Garcia and Cole slowly let off, but then Garcia avoids a cheap shot to CHOP! The fans fire up and “WOO~!” then Garcia whips. Cole reverses, Garcia SHOTGUNS him down! The fans fire up with Garcia and he runs in at the corner. Garcia LARIATS, then he climbs up. Garcia rains down fists, the fans count along, but Cole pops out at 7 to SHOVE Garcia to the floor!
The fans rally up while Garcia flounders. Cole waits a moment while the ring count starts. Garcia hobbles, Cole storms out after him, and Cole sends Garcia into the steel steps! Garcia falls in a heap and clutches his knee. Cole hurries to get Garcia up, to send him back into the steps! Garcia crashes and burns and takes a tumble! Cole refreshes the count, fetches Garcia, and he puts Garcia in the ring. Cole grabs the bad leg to stomp the hamstring, then stomps it again. Garcia scrambles away to ropes, but Cole stands on the bad leg against those ropes! The ref counts, the fans are torn, but Cole steps off at 4.
Cole drags Garcia to center for a STANDING KNEEBAR! Garcia endures, even as Cole tells him to just give up. Garcia reaches out, and he has the ROPEBREAK! The fans cheer, the ref counts, and Cole lets go. Cole backs off for Garcia to stand, and Cole kicks the leg out! SHINING WIZARD! Cover, TWO! Not quite The Boom so Garcia survives, but Cole is right back on him. Cole has the leg, DDTS the foot, and Garcia scrambles away to more ropes. Cole stalks Garcia, drags him up, and bumps him off buckles. Cole stomps Garcia, then stand shim up. Garcia fires haymakers! Cole kicks the leg out!
Cole bumps Garcia off buckles again, puts the leg around the ropes, and pulls! The ref counts, Cole stops at 4, and Garcia slumps down. Cole runs to DROPKICK the bad leg! Garcia flounders away, clutches that leg, but he refuses to give up. Cole grabs the leg, steps through, but Garcia cradle counters! TWO, and both men stand! Cole blocks a kick, CLUBS the leg, then hits a BACKSTABBER! Garcia writhes, Cole covers him, TWO! Garcia toughs it out, and Collision goes picture in picture.
Cole is frustrated but he stays calm as he stands back up. Cole goes to a corner, waits on Garcia, then he goes up the ropes. Garcia hobbles but then falls, that bad leg a little too beat up for what Cole wants. Cole hops down to ROCK Garcia, then he goes back up the ropes. Garcia rises, and he UPPERCUTS Cole! Garcia ROCKS Cole, climbs up to get him, but Cole slips under! Cole SUPERKICKS the legs out! Garcia falls to the mat, Cole goes outside the ring, and Cole drags Garcia into the corner. Cole SLAMS the bad leg into the post! And then SLAMS it again! Garcia writhes in pain as Slam Dunk Saturday returns to single picture.
Speaking of, Cole SLAMS the leg into the post again! Cole ROCKS Garcia, then storms back into the ring. The fans rally up, Garcia crawls, and Cole talks some smack. The fans rally for “D G! WOOP WOOP!” Cole fires forearms, but Garcia refuses to back down. Garcia ROCKS Cole, Cole ROCKS Garcia! Garcia stands to ROCK Cole again! Cole fires a flurry, then eggs Garcia on. Garcia fires a flurry in return! The fans fire up but then Cole rains down fists! Garcia clamps onto Cole’s neck! Cole breaks free but Garcia CHOPS! Cole BOOTS! Cole then dodges a lariat to ENZIGIRI! Cole reels Garcia in, suplexes, but Garcia fights that to TWIST ‘N’ SHOUT!
The fans fire up while both men are down! Garcia drags himself up with the ropes, the fans rally, and Garcia dodges Cole to TWIST ‘N’ SHOUT again! Garcia drags Cole up again, but Cole suplexes! Garcia slips free, TOSSES Cole out, then he has Cole in the ropes! DRAPING TWIST ‘N’ SHOUT! Cover, TWO!! Cole survives but the fans rally and duel again. Garcia drags Cole up, but the bad leg won’t let him lift! Cole fireman’s carries, USHIGOROSHI! Cover, TWO! Garcia stays in this and Cole grows frustrated again. Cole grabs the bad leg, drags Garcia around, and then steps through. Garcia BOOTS Cole right out of the ring!
Cole gets back on the apron, but Garcia runs up to GAMANGIRI! Both men tumble up and out to the floor! The fans rally up, Garcia drags himself up, and the fans help him stand! Garcia smacks his leg into working, and he SHOTGUNS Cole into the barriers! The fans fire up and Garcia drags Cole back up. Garcia puts Cole in the ring, reels him in, but Cole suplexes for a GHOSTBUSTER! Cover, TWO!! Garcia survives again and Cole is further frustrated. The fans rally up, Cole goes to the corner, and he waits on Garcia. Garcia rises, Cole aims, but Garcia UPPERCUTS again! Garcia then twists Cole’s foot as he positions Cole just right.
We hit the five minute warning as Garcia climbs. Garcia tries to go to the very top, but the bad leg gives up! He falls back, and Cole jumps in for the PANAMA SUNRISE!! Cover, ROPEBREAK!!! Garcia survives and the fans fire up again! Cole brushes that off to go back up the corner. Omaha duels even harder now as Garcia rises. Cole reloads, but Garcia tumbles out of the ring! Whether he meant to or not, Garcia avoided the game ender. Wait! Cole just goes to the apron now! PANAMA- NO, Garcia dodges, and then KNEES low! Garcia reels Cole in, but the bad leg still prevents the lift! Cole runs in, but Garcia gets around! GERMAN SUPLEX to the floor!
Garcia puts Cole in, beats his leg into working, and he powers up! The fans fire up, but Cole resists the lift! Garcia powers through the pain to PILEDRIVER!! Cover, TWO!?! Cole survives and Garcia is beside himself! Garcia falls back, “This is Awesome!” and Cole goes back to a corner. Garcia hobbles, runs back in, but he can’t even make it! Cole hurries back up, PANAMA SUNRISE!! Cover, TWO!?!? Garcia survives, but Cole just goes to the FIGURE FOUR!! The fans are thunderous as Garcia endures, shouts in pain, and flails around! Garcia claws at the hold, but then he backstrokes towards ropes!
Cole puts on the pressure, Garcia bites his finger to ignore his leg pain, and he gets the ROPEBREAK!! Cole lets go in frustration while the fans fire up again. Cole drags Garcia back to center, but Garcia drags Cole down for a cradle! TWO, but Garcia has Cole’s legs! DRAGON TAMER!! Cole endures as Garcia sits deep, but Cole fights around! The fans fire up as Cole finds the ROPEBREAK! Garcia lets go, more because he couldn’t last much longer himself. Fans hope these two “FIGHT FOREVER!” but we know the time is running out. Garcia stalks Cole to the apron, brings him up to throw hands! Cole fires forearms in return!
The fans rally as these two go back and forth, forearm for forearm! We have ONE MINUTE LEFT! Garcia reels Cole in, but Cole fights the lift! Cole CLUBS away on the legs, then SUPERKICKS the legs out! Cole reels Garcia in, APRON DESTROYER!!! But Garcia flops to the floor! Cole hurries to get Garcia up and back in! Cole hurries to bring the kneepad down, but Garcia grabs that leg! Cole CLUBS away on Garcia! Cole runs, BUT TIME’S UP!!

He has the mic to tell Omaha, “You are looking live at the Best Wrestler Alive!” The fans boo that claim given Caster is 0-5 at his own challenge. But Caster still says everyone knows that Caster is a very busy man. He has a packed schedule, unlike his former tag team partner… The fans chant, “We Want Bowens!” but Caster says he has some news for us: Bowens ain’t here, and he ain’t coming back, cuz Caster ran his ass outta AEW! The fans boo more, but Caster says surely there are a lot of Maximaniacs here today, so time to give them what they want, and that is to chant his name!
Okay, here goes! “Let’s Go, Max! You’re the Best Wrestler Alive! Let’s Go, Max! You’re the Best Wrestler Alive!” The fans boo that stupid chant, so Caster says it’s four on the floor. But anyway, let’s get to business! Who can survive the Best Wrestler Alive? The man to answer is… HOOK! Will the Cold-Hearted Handsome Devil make sure Caster finally learns his lesson?
The bell rings and the fans sing, “Hook is gonna kill~ you!” Caster says before they start, he knows Hook has a lot to say, so he should get it off his chest. Then Caster throws the mic at Hook! Caster attacks in that distraction, then CLUBS away on Hook! The fans boo, Caster whips but Hook reverses! Caster goes up and over, keeps moving, then ducks ‘n’ dodges. Caster cartwheels, cheers himself on, but then Hook trips Caster up! The fans cheer, and Hook clamps on REDRUM!! Caster TAPS, Hook wins!

Backstage interview with Queen Aminata.
Lexy Nair is with the One True African Queen, and notes that we are moments away from the tiebreaker with Julia Hart. They are 1-1, but Aminata won the previous match, so how does that momentum have her feeling? Aminata says she is- interrupted by Serena Deeb. Deeb says that was a fantastic win against Julia. What has she been telling Aminata? Listen to Deeb and you win! And tonight, it’s the rematch, and lucky for Aminata, Deeb came prepared. She has another playbook. This is 1000 holds, something Deeb has worked on for 20 years. It is everything Aminata needs to know to beat Julia, or anyone for that matter.
Deeb says it is all in this book. She hasn’t lied to Aminata yet, has she? Aminata tells The Professor thanks, but no thanks. Aminata is confident she can win this third match on her own. TWO, but Hart reels Aminata in for a cradle, TWO! The fans cheer this ongoing exchange, and then Hart waistlocks. Aminata bucks the O’Conner to then kick low! Aminata wags her finger, then reels Hart in. The fans duel, Aminata snap suplexes, and Hart tumbles to the corner.
Aminata storms over, drags Hart up, and brings her to the apron. Aminata clinches, and APRON SIDE EFFECTS! The fans fire up and Aminata grins. Aminata tosses her hair while Collision goes picture in picture.
Aminata CHOPS Hart on the chest, then taunts the Hart fans. Aminata brings Hart around to run and THROW her into the barriers! Hart falls in a heap, but Aminata makes her take a seat. Aminata refreshes the ring count, then runs at Hart, HIP ATTACK against railing! Aminata puts Hart in, then covers, TWO! Aminata doesn’t sweat it as she brings Hart around and clamps on with a chinlock. Hart endures, even as Aminata squeezes tight. Hart fights up, but Aminata wrangles her right back down. Aminata then shifts into a CROSSFACE! Hart endures, Aminata twists Hart’s nose, but the ref reprimands so Aminata stops.

Hart runs in, Aminata lifts Hart up, tucks her, and runs for the AIR RAID CRASH! Cover, TWO!! Hart survives and Aminata is shocked! Hart has a bloody nose again, but Aminata KICKS her in the side! Aminata puts Hart in the drop zone, then climbs up.
Aminata reaches the top, but Hart trips her up! Hart ROCKS Aminata, climbs again, but Aminata fires body shots! Hart and Aminata brawl up top, and then Hart grabs Aminata for a SPIDER SUPERPLEX! The fans fire up as Hart hangs there like a bat, then sits up to adjust position! MOONSAULT- NO, Aminata dodges! Hart rolls through to stand back up, but into the QUEEN’S CROWN HEADBUTT!! Cover, TWO?!?! Hart survives losing her head and Aminata’s about to lose her mind! Aminata drags Hart up and around as the fans rally. Aminata fires Kawada Kicks, then whips. Hart grabs ropes to stop, and she KICKS Aminata!

Mortos has had some rather intriguing interactions with “Harley-gram.” Harley says, “Oh, Lexy, Lexy, Lexy. Lucha Libre is a fascinating and amazing world. And I’m sure tomorrow’s match will be fantastic. And y’know what? Tomorrow night, yes, I do have a match, but! I will also stick around and be on commentary for that match. So I don’t really see the point of us discussing the romantic capabilities of a beast, y’know?”
Lexy says yeah, but uh, isn’t “Harley-gram” just Harley? NO, FEEL THE WRATH! Harley runs off, but will Harley be able to focus on her match with Mortos around? Will Mortos be able to focus on his match with Harley around?

While the Book of Hobbs is stuck on a chapter involving the Don Callis Family, he has decided to conglomerate with the Sussex County Chicken & Azucar! Will Briscoe & Rocky help Hobbs get through the “writer’s block?” Or will Konosuke Takeshita, Brian Cage & Lance Archer make sure #EverybodyDies?
The trios sort out and Briscoe starts against Konosuke. Don Callis is on commentary and Schiavone is sure he is not in a good mood over his guy, Mark Davis, missing out on the International Championship. Callis focuses instead on the Six Man Tag, and his “three physical freaks” of the Callis Family. Briscoe and Konosuke tie up, Briscoe headlocks, and Omaha rallies for #DemBoys. Konosuke powers up and out, Briscoe RAMS him, but Konosuke comes back to run Briscoe over! Things keep moving, Konosuke bypasses Briscoe but Briscoe slides under. Briscoe springs up to hit the crane stance! Callis says that is disrespectful!
Konosuke blocks the crane kick, spins Briscoe around, and back suplexes, only for Briscoe to land out. Konosuke kicks low, whips Briscoe to a corner, but Briscoe goes up and out. Briscoe eggs Konosuke on, then counters the punch with a REDNECK KUNG-FU UPPERCUT! Briscoe climbs, aims, and leaps, but Konosuke BODY BLOWS the ax handle down! The fans boo but Konosuke stands Briscoe up. Konosuke whips Briscoe to the Callis corner, but Briscoe BOOTS Archer down! The fans fire up but Cage grabs Briscoe. Konosuke runs up, but Briscoe slips free, so Konosuke DECKS Cage! The fans fire up and Briscoe kicks low.
Briscoe whips, Konosuke reverses, Hobbs sneaks the tag. Briscoe DIVES onto Cage! Archer BOOTS Briscoe, but Rocky FLYING KNEES Archer! Hobbs runs in to CLOBBER Konosuke! And CLOBBERS him again! The fans fire up and Hobbs smirks. Hobbs stands Konosuke up to scoop him, and then he tags in Rocky. Rocky climbs, Hobbs POWERSLAMS Konosuke down for Rocky to DIVING DOUBLE STOMP! Konosuke sputters while Rocky gives some Azucar Heat. Rocky runs to DIVE, but Cage catches him! And hands him off to Konosuke! APRON POWERBOMB! Cage CLOBBERS Briscoe, Archer whips Hobbs into railing!
The fans boo, the Callis Family soaks up that heat, and Collision goes picture in picture.
The ring count starts, Archer talks smack tot he camera that we can’t hear, but Konosuke puts Rocky in the ring. Cover, TWO! Rocky survives but Konosuke drags him up. Konosuke bumps Rocky off buckles, tags Cage, and they stomp away. The ref counts, Konosuke stops but Cage digs his boots in. The ref counts more, Cage stops at 4, then Cage stands Rocky up. Cage CHOPS Rocky, tags Archer, and Archer drags Rocky up. Archer bumps Rocky off buckles, then fires forearm after forearm! Archer runs corner to corner and back again to ELBOW Rocky! Archer takes a page out of Rocky’s book, TWO-EVER ELBOW!
Archer keeps it going, THREE-EVER! Archer lets Rocky flop down, nothing lasts forever. Tag to Konosuke, and he stands between Rocky and his corner. Konosuke DECKS Rocky, then stalks him to ropes. Konosuke CHOKES Rocky, the ref counts, and Konosuke lets go of the ropes. The ref says that’s not the problem, he has to step off of Rocky! Konosuke does step off, then he brings Rocky up to whip to ropes. Konosuke ELBOWS Rocky down, covers, TWO! Rocky stays in this but Konosuke tags Cage. They mug Rocky, then Cage brings Rocky around to scoop and SLAM! Cage runs to drop a leg, brother! Cover, TWO!
Cage hauls Rocky up to TOSS him out! Cage taunts Briscoe, but this lets Archer and Callis to get their shots in! Callis grins, Briscoe & Hobbs protest, but nothing can be done now. Callis high-fives Archer and Cage puts Rocky back in. Cage tags Archer, Archer storms up on Rocky, and Archer puts him in a corner. Archer runs corner to corner, but Rocky dodges! Archer hits buckles, staggers around, and he tags to Konosuke. Konosuke drops an ELBOW on Rocky! Konosuke looms over Rocky, CLUBS him, and then brings him around. Konosuke whips Rocky hard into buckles and Rocky falls to the mat. Konosuke looms as Slam Dunk Saturday returns to single picture.
Konosuke taunts Rocky, the fans rally up, and Konosuke slaps Rocky around. Rocky rises to fire a forearm! Konosuke just shakes his head. Archer runs in, Briscoe dodges the boot, but Archer breaks the clothesline to CLOBBER Briscoe! Rocky runs in, tilt-o-whirls, but into the BLACK- NO!! Rocky slips free to have the SLEEPER! Archer THROWS Rocky down! And then runs in, only for Rocky to dodge! Rocky dropkicks the legs out, then kicks. Archer blocks, ducks the enzigiri, but not the REWIND HEEL! Roll up, TWO! Archer is up, Rocky dodges to springboard, but into a HAYMAKER! Archer hauls Rocky up, Cage is there, MURDER BOMB!! DISCUS LARIAT for Briscoe! Tag to Konosuke, he hauls Rocky up, RAGING FIRE!! The bell rings and the fans rally for “SPEEDBALL! SPEEDBALL!” All four men watch each other, and Davis sticks out like a sore thumb as the biggest guy here. Cassidy rolls through the middle of the group, and the fans cheer! Ricochet and Davis aren’t amused but Bailey applauds. The four feel things out, Davis knuckle locks with Bailey, but Cassidy is a bit more reluctant. Ricochet knuckle locks with Bailey, but Cassidy is still reluctant. Ricochet breaks with Bailey to headlock Cassidy. Bailey fires KICKS on Davis, Cassidy powers out but Bailey sidesteps Ricochet. Cassidy arm-drags Ricochet, Davis waistlocks Bailey.
Bailey elbows free, Cassidy runs up but Bailey sends him into Cassidy! Davis rebounds, Cassidy drops down, Bailey TOSSES Davis out! The fans fire up and now the high-fliers all stand off. Ricochet gets the fans fired up, but then he sucker punches Cassidy! Cassidy falls out and the fans boo. Bailey fires LIGHTNING KICKS on Ricochet! The ENZIGIRIS sends Ricochet tumbling away and the fans fire up again! Cassidy returns, he and Bailey square off. Cassidy fires “lightning” kicks, and the fans go wild! Cassidy then winds up, puts his hands up, and then puts them in his pockets! The fans fire up and Bailey says okay, hold on.
Bailey puts his hands behind his back to mirror Cassidy, and then he starts throwing kicks! Cassidy ducks ‘n’ jumps those feet, then SHOTGUNS Bailey down! Cassidy kips up, but then so does Bailey! The fans rally more as Bailey kicks and Cassidy dodges. Cassidy runs the ropes but Ricochet trips him up! The fans boo as Ricochet drags Cassidy out and THROWS him into barriers! But Bailey runs to SLIDING RANA! The fans fire up again, and Bailey KICKS Ricochet against barriers! Bailey stands Ricochet back up to KICK him again! The fans cheer, Bailey puts Ricochet in and climbs a corner. But Davis grabs Bailey’s foot!
Bailey kicks Davis away, then FLYING- NO! Davis stops the rana to APRON POWERBOMB Bailey! Cassidy DIVES, but Davis catches him, to RAM him into the apron, then APRON BACK SUPLEX! Ricochet runs up to CLUB Davis, but Davis stays up. Ricochet apologizes but Davis storms up on him. The fans tell Ricochet he messed up, and Ricochet runs away into the ring. Davis pursues, Ricochet slips out the side, Bailey O’Conner Rolls Davis! TWO, Ricochet comes back but Bailey BOOTS him down! Bailey then goes up, up, but Davis grabs him in a waistlock! Bailey fights the grip, gets free, and he CHOPS!
The fans fire up but Davis just scowls. Bailey CHOPS again! Davis eggs Bailey on, so Bailey CHOPS again! The fans “WOO~” but Davis roars! Bailey kicks, Davis blocks, and then Davis CHOPS Bailey down! Cassidy is back, Davis CHOPS him down, too! The fans boo but Davis stalks Bailey to a corner. Davis stands Bailey up to CHOP LARIAT! Ricochet joins commentary at this moment just to say he’s not a dummy who’s gonna get beat up in that ring. He’s letting Davis do all the work! Davis drags Cassidy up, CHOP LARIATS him in a corner, then goes back to Davis. The ref tells Ricochet to get in the ring but Ricochet tells the ref to shut up.
Davis TOSSES Bailey, Ricochet says he knows when to pick his spots. Ricochet steps off commentary, the fans tell Callis off while Davis scoops and SLAMS Cassidy! Davis soaks up the heat, stands Bailey up and CHOKES him int he corner! Ricochet slithers in to cover Cassidy! Davis hears the count and drags Ricochet up! Davis TOSSES Ricochet up and out of the ring! But Bailey- Well, he tries to roll Davis up but Davis is sturdy. Cassidy runs up and CROSSBODIES, but Davis catches him! Davis swings and TOSSES Cassidy, then SENTONS onto Bailey! The fans fire up, Ricochet slithers in, but then he and Davis lock eyes.
Davis shouts and Ricochet slithers back out, “picking his spot.” Davis drags Cassidy up while the fans rally for “FRESHLY SQUEEZED!” Davis suplexes, but Cassidy gives him STUN DOG MILLIONAIRE! Either Cassidy holds on or Davis is blocking, but Bailey is up top either way! FLYING DOUBLE KNEES!! Davis takes the worst of that, and now Ricochet slithers back in! Bailey SUPERKICKS him first, though! Bailey runs and BOOTS Davis in the corner! Bailey pushes Davis down, goes up, and MISSLE DROPKICKS! Davis gets up, but Bailey SOBATS, AX KICKS, and KICKS Davis down! The fans fire up and Bailey runs, STANDING SHOOTING STAR!
Ricochet TOSSES Bailey out, aims at Davis, STANDING SHOOTING STAR! But now Cassidy TOSSES Ricochet out! Cassidy winds up, but he realizes he can’t pull off the Shooting Star so he just covers! ONE!! Davis survives, Cassidy argues the count, but Ricochet returns! Cassidy dodges, but then Ricochet dodges Bailey! Bailey dodges Cassidy, Ricochet CHOPS Cassidy! Bailey ROCKS Ricochet, Cassidy DECKS Bailey! Ricochet, Cassidy and Bailey all gather, but Davis roars! So he gets TRIPLE BOOTS! The fans fire up as Ricochet says the others can handle this. Cassidy and Bailey say nope! They whip Ricochet into Davis’ BOOT!
Davis then runs to CLOBBER Cassidy and Bailey at the same time! Ricochet comes back, but Davis CLOBBERS him, too! The fans boo Dunkzilla but he soaks up that heat while Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Davis drags Bailey up and around, reels him in, and suplexes high and hard! Bailey flounders away, Cassidy gets up, but Davis kicks him low. Davis suplexes high and hard again! Ricochet is up, he kicks first, but Davis still suplexes Ricochet! Davis hits a hattrick, but Bailey returns. Davis DECKS Bailey! Davis paces, then he CHOPS Bailey! Bailey fires a body shot, but Davis CHOPS him down! Davis fires up, and suplexes, but Bailey blocks! Bailey fires body shots, and he tries to suplex Davis?! Davis fights that, then he suplexes Bailey high and hard! Davis BLASTS Ricochet off the apron, then drags him back up. Davis suplexes Ricochet to THROW him!

Ricochet rolls through and deadlifts, but gets a STUN DOG MILLIONAIRE! The fans fire up, Cassidy clutches his arm, and Bailey returns. Bailey THRUST KICKS but Cassidy goes Matrix! Cassidy swings, Bailey dodges, and Bailey goes up to TRIANGLE JUMP MOONSAULT onto Davis and Ricochet! Bailey returns, he bumps Cassidy off buckles, then goes up. Cassidy goes up, btu Bailey hops back to GAMANGIRI! Bailey hops back in, hoists Cassidy up, and he POWER- NO, Cassidy RANAS through! Cover, TWO! SUPERKICK! Bailey knocks Cassidy down and covers, TWO! The fans fire up but Bailey suplexes, FALCON ARROW!
Cassidy is in the drop zone and Bailey goes up top! The fans rally and Bailey aims, SHOOTING STAR PRESS! Cover, Davis drags Bailey out! And Ricochet slips in to build speed! Cassidy and Davis fight for control, but Cassidy slips free of the bomb! Cassidy then ducks the enzigiri! The fans fire up for the ORANGE PUNCH!! But Ricochet whips Cassidy, only for Cassidy to reverse and TOSS Ricochet out! High stack on Davis, TWO?!?!
Davis survives, Callis is relieved, and Omaha is shocked! Cassidy rises, Ricochet springboards, FLYING LARIAT! Cassidy tumbles away but Bailey steps in. The fans fire up as Bailey and Ricochet trade kicks! “This is Awesome!” as Bailey ducks, Ricochet ducks, and both men BOOT! And both men ROUNDHOUSE! Davis is back, Bailey ducks and the LARIAT hits Ricochet! But then Davis comes back to LARIAT Bailey after all! Davis drags Bailey up, reels him in, and roars! But Ricochet stands, only for Davis to grab him by the neck! Davis POWERBOMBS Bailey with one arm, then shoves Ricochet for a POP-UP POWERBOMB!
Davis turns around, Cassidy leaps for DEEP- NO, Davis catches Cassidy and SPINEBUSTERS! Davis roars, grabs Cassidy’s legs, close your eyes and COUNT TO PAIN!! Cover, BAILEY BREAKS IT!! The fans are thunderous again but now Davis drags Bailey up! But Bailey trips Davis, JACKKNIFE BRIDGE! TWO and Davis sunset flips! TWO, and Bailey PENALTY KICKS! Then STANDING MOONSAULT KNEE DROP!! Davis sputters, but Ricochet grabs Bailey! Bailey BOOTS Ricochet, dodges Davis, and BLINDSIDE HEEL KICKS! Bailey hooks the arms, slowly backslides, but Ricochet adds in with a high stack! Cover, THREE, but who wins?!?!
Callis claims everyone cheated except Davis! The fans are confused, they want it to be Bailey’s win, but Ricochet did join the cover. The ref has everyone calm down and he sorts this out. He tells Callis to shut up and back off while he talks with Justin Roberts. The announcement comes in: As a result of a pinfall, challenging Kenny Omega for the title will be… “Speedball” Mike Bailey AND Ricochet!

The only one happy about this is The One & Only! Ricochet sneaks his way into the title match, but will he be able to pull off something like this in Philadelphia? Or will the title still belong to a Canadian in the end?
AEW TBS Championship: Mercedes Mone VS Billie Starkz!
The CEO is still #FourBeltsMone after her great battle with Momo Watanabe at Revolution. However, she hasn’t been taking the inaugural ROH Women’s Television Champion very seriously. But that doesn’t bother Billie, because Mone was never her role model. Will Billie once again make history? Or will she simply pay for messing with Mone?
The introductions are made, the teal belt is raised, and we see who is really star material!
The bell rings and Billie offers a handshake. The Code of Honor, if you will. Mone ROCKS Billie instead, then DROPKICKS her! The fans boo but Mone rains down fists! The ref counts as Billie is in the ropes, so Mone stops at 4. Mone smothers Billie’s face into the mat, then slaps Billie around! The fans are torn but the boos are strong. Mone drags Billie up, bumps her off buckles, and then digs her boot in at the corner. The fans boo and the ref reprimands, Mone stops at 4, and Mone snapmares to run and METEORA! Cover, TWO! Mone is annoyed but Billie is tougher than that. The fans duel while Billie sits up.
Mone talks trash but Billie fires forearms! Billie whips, Mone reverses, but Billie BOOTS her down! Mone runs back up, she blocks Billie’s boots and throws them aside, but Billie REBOUND ENZIGIRIS! Billie goes out and steps back in, TORNADO DDT! The fans fire up for Billie as she has a wild grin. Billie hurries to cover, TWO! The fans rally, Billie goes up a corner, but Mone bails out! The fans boo but Mone wags her finger. Billie hops down, builds speed, and she DIVES! Direct hit at the ramp and the fans fire up! Billie roars, goes back into the ring, and she goes up the corner! Billie aims and SUPER CANNONBALLS!
The fans fire up as Billie takes Mone down! The ref checks them both, but Billie stands up. Billie drags Mone up, puts her in the ring, then goes back up the corner. Billie aims again, SWANTON BOMB! Cover, TWO!! Mone survives and Billie grows frustrated. Mone clutches her side and crawls to a corner while Omaha rallies for Billie. Billie drags Mone up, Electric Chair Lifts, but Mone grabs the ropes! Billie pries Mone from them, but Mone CLAWS Billie’s eyes! Mone slips out the back to BACKSTABBER! Cover, TWO! Mone rains down fists, lets off to TOSS Billie out, and Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Mone snarls while fans cheer and jeer. Mone then calms down and smiles, and she does her dance while the ring count climbs. Billie sits up, pushes up off the mat, and springs in at 9! Mone is right on Billie with a scoop and SLAM! Cover, TWO! Billie toughs it out but Mone KNEES her int he side! Mone then pulls Billie into a Half Bow ‘n’ Arrow! Billie endures being bent back, and she reaches out for ropes. Billie then reaches back to drag Mone into a cover! TWO, and Mone CLOBBERS Billie! Mone is frustrated again, and she drags Billie back up, to ELBOW her in the shoulders again and again! Mone then clamps on a chinlock!
Billie endures, reaches out, but Mone squeeze tight. Billie fights around, fights to her feet, and JAWBREAKERS free! Then she rolls Mone up! TWO, and Mone DROPKICKS Billie down! Cover, TWO! Billie is still tougher than that, and Mone is upset. Mone drags Billie around, KNEES her in the back, then pulls on the arms. Billie endures the motorcycle stretch, fights to her feet, and she fires knees! Then she tilt-o-whirl RANAS Mone! Mone runs back in, Billie wrenches and WRINGS the arm out! Dynamite returns to single picture as Billie mule kicks, then scoops for a tuck and- NO, Mone turns things around, CIPHER UTAKI! Cover, TWO!!

Mone sends Billie into buckles! Mone fires forearms, the fans boo and the ref reprimands. Mone stops at 4, then hoists Billie up top. Mone climbs up after Billie, talks trash, and SLAPS Billie! Mone brings Billie to the top rope, and hits a SUPERPLEX! Roll through and another suplex, but Billie fights that! Billie suplexes for a GHOSTBUSTER! The fans fire up while both women are down! Billie and Mone crawl while the fans rally and duel.
Mone runs up, Billie dodges to wrench and KNEE SMASH, then ROLLING ELBOW! And GERMAN SUPLEX! Bridging cover, TWO! Mone escapes and Billie is a bit surprised, but she hurries to run up! Mone ELBOWS Billie, then goes to a corner. Mone BOOTS Billie, but Billie comes back again. Mone hits her with DEADLY NIGHTSHADE! Mone talks trash, gets Billie into the Gory Especial, but Billie kicks off buckles to flip up and over! But Mone blocks a kick to KNEE Billie! Mone then kicks, but Billie gives the KNEE right back! And HEEL KICK! Mone LARIATS! Both women are down again and the fans are thunderous!
Mone crawls to a cover, TWO! The fans rally for “A E DUB! A E DUB!” Mone rises, she drags Billie up by her hair buns, and then reels her in. But Billie drops to victory roll, TWO! Mone runs up, Billie dodges to go up and around, arm-drag and lateral press! TWO and ghost pin, TWO! Billie runs back in, crucifix into sunset flip, ONE!! Mone stands, into a SHOTGUN! Mone hits buckles and slumps down! The fans fire up and Billie hoists Mone into an Alabama Lift! ALABAMA SLAM into buckles! Billie brings out that viciousness taught to her by Athena, and she hurries to get Mone in the Electric Chair!
Billie tucks Mone, FOLDING DRIVER!! Cover, ROPEBREAK!!!! Mone survives by a literal foot, and Billie can’t believe it! The fans boo, but Billie’s miscalculation lets Mone live. “This is Awesome!” as Mone crawls to the apron. Billie fires up, and she goes up the corner! Billie aims, leaps, APRON SWANTON but Mone moves!! Billie crashes and burns, Mone reels her into a ghost pin! TWO, but into the STATEMENT MAKER!! Billie endures, but Mone pulls her way back! Billie TAPS, Mone wins!

Mone laughs as she keeps holding on! The ref reprimands, Mone lets go, and the fans boo as Mone holds up all her belts. But Billie pushed Mone a lot further than Mone will likely admit. But at this rate, will no one stop Mone from becoming the Forever TBS Champion?

With Revolution’s main event being more or less interrupted by quite a few others, namely Christian Cage and his Casino Gauntlet Contract cash-in, The Maniac stayed the champion, but nothing between him and the Rated R Superstar had been settled. Now they’re just throwing the rulebook out into the cold Nebraska night as they turn up the heat! Will Moxley still find a way to survive? Or will he have to cope with a devastating loss?
Moxley is only now entering the arena from the parking lot, BUT COPE IS THERE TO ATTACK! The fans fire up seeing this on the tron, and the bell rings now to get this all on record! Cope SMACKS Moxley off the semi-truck’s trailer, then SMACKS him off it again! Then Cope shoves Moxley into the back of the trailer, and they brawl around all these power tools, props and cases! Cope SMACKS Moxley off the side again, then finds one of Jeff Jarrett’s guitars! Cope SMACKS Moxley in the leg, then fires more forearms! Moxley staggers towards the exit, but Cope runs up to swing and DROPKICK Moxley into the garage door!
Moxley slumps down, Cope throws off his vest, and Cope drags Moxley back up. Cope and Moxley scrap, and now Moxley sends Cope into the garage door! Moxley grabs the briefcase and runs inside. Cope pursues, CLUBS Moxley along the hallway, and the ref has found them. Moxley uses the briefcase as a weapon to JAM and CLOBBER Cope! Moxley says Cope wanted a Street Fight in Omaha, so let’s go to Omaha! Cope hits back, he headlocks Moxley and brings him along. The brawling continues, Moxley gets his jacket off, but Cope claws at his head! Cope SMACKS Moxley off road cases, then brings him around a corner. They end up going through the curtain and to the crowd!
The fans fire up as the brawl brings these two around behind the timekeeper’s area, and Cope SMACKS Moxley off the table! Cope ROCKS Moxley, SMACKS him with a microphone, and the fans fire up more. Cope goes looking under the ring, and he brings out a trash can! Cope runs up to SMASH Moxley with the can! Moxley ends up by commentary, Cope storms over to bring him around. The fans rally for Cope as he snap suplexes Moxley to the floor! Moxley writhes and staggers away. Cope runs up to BOOT Moxley down! Moxley takes a seat, and Cope rains down forearms! Cope rains down fists, not having to hold back!
The fans fire up as Cope lets off to catch his breath, but Moxley gets him for a SLEEPER! Cope claws at the hold, but he is fading! Moxley then shifts to a neck wrench! Moxley is still targeting the neck, and he RAMS Cope into the LED barrier! Moxley then brings out a kendo stick! Moxley takes aim, taunts the fans, and then runs up to SMACK Cope on the back! And SMACKS him again! Moxley digs the point of the kendo stick into Cope’s neck! The fans boo, the ref checks with Cope, but Cope refuses to give up! Moxley stops, only to drag Cope back up. Moxley whips but Cope reverses, and Moxley hits railing!
Cope DUMPS Moxley over into the crowd, and then pursues again. The fans fire up as Cope storms up and CLOBBERS Moxley into the boards! The fans fire up as Cope CHUCKS a trash can at Moxley’s head! Moxley staggers away, Cope has a beer can and he SMACKS Moxley with it! Moxley is dazed as he leans on the barriers, and Cope fires forearms and CHOPS! The fans fire up being even closer to the action, but Moxley ROCKS Cope in return! Cope ROCKS Mox, Mox ROCKS Cope! Cope ROCKS Moxley again, but Moxley hits back again! They brawl their way along, forearm for forearm! The fans boo Moxley while he vows Cope is done!
Moxley comes back but Cope BOOTS him! Cope fires hands, Moxley tumbles over the barriers, and Cope pursues. Cope grabs the panel that covers the top of the LED board to SMACK Moxley on the back! Then SMACKS him again! But then Cope clears off the desk! The fans fire up, Cope stalks Moxley again, and Cope brings Moxley around to TOSS onto the desk! The fans are thunderous as Cope climbs up to join Mox! But Moxley CLAWS Cope’s eyes! And he BITES Cope’s face! Then underhooks and PARADIGM SHIFT on the desk!! Cope flops to the floor while Moxley dusts himself off. The ref checks Cope while Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Moxley stands up tall to soak up the heat. Moxley taunts the fans, then dumps water on Cope. Moxley paces around while Cope sputters and stirs. Moxley fetches the kendo stick, goes back to Cope, and Moxley waits on Cope to stand. Then he SMACKS Cope back down! Moxley CHOKES Cope with the kendo stick, drags him up and around, and he talks trash at the same time. Cope refuses to give up so Moxley shoves Cope down. Moxley flips off the fans, then waits on Cope. Cope stands, Mox runs in, but Cope sends him into the steel steps! Moxley falls in a heap, and Cope drags a TABLE out from under the ring!
Surely, Omaha is fired up again as Cope stands this table up at ringside. Moxley crawls away, has a chair, but Cope CLUBS him first! Cope whips, but Moxley reverses, and now Cope hits steel steps! Cope falls in a heap, Moxley grabs that chair and puts it in the ring. Moxley fetches Cope, puts him in the ring, and Dynamite returns to single picture. Moxley has the chair, takes aim, and he SMACKS Cope on the back! The fans boo while Cope writhes, and Moxley SMACKS him again! Moxley CHOKES Cope with the chair, having it sit on his neck! Moxley flips off the fans while they boo more, but Cope still refuses to give up.
Moxley lets off Cope and he tells the ref to back off. Moxley puts the chair around Cope’s neck! The fans boo as Moxley wants to do Cope like he did Bryan Danielson and Chuck Taylor! But then Moxley goes up the corner?! The fans boo, but Cope stands! Cope CHUCKS the chair at Moxley! Moxley teeters up top, Cope climbs up after him, and Cope CLAWS Moxley’s back! Cope brings Moxley up, to SUPER DUPER PLEX! Both men writhe, and Prince Nana is watching backstage. Swerve is still down and out after what Moxley did to him on Saturday, so Nana is keeping an eye on this match on Swerve’s behalf.
Moxley writhes but rises up, and so does Cope. The fans rally, Cope and Moxley trade forearms, and then Moxley eggs Cope on. They stand to fire more forearms, and Cope gives as good as he gets! Moxley kicks low, fires knees again and again, then runs, only for Cope to dodge and LARIAT! And LARIAT! And LARIAT again! The fans fire up as Cope then FLAPJACKS Moxley down! Moxley checks his face while the fans rally up. Cope goes out of the ring, and he looks under the ring. IT’S SPIKE! Cope brings his little friend into the ring, but Moxley hits a CUTTER! The fans boo but Moxley CHOKES Cope!
Moxley goes out, and he brings out a second TABLE! The fans are torn, they love tables but don’t like Moxley. Moxley puts this table in the ring, sets it up in a corner, but Cope gets Spike back! Cope SMACKS Moxley in the gut!! The fans go nuts, but then Cope SMACKS Moxley on the back! Cope puts Spike down, and suplexes Moxley onto Spike!! Moxley writhes as Spike sticks inside Moxley’s back!! So many nails are digging into flesh!! The fans are losing their minds and Moxley isn’t sure what to do about it! Moxley stands, Spike still digs into him, but WHEELER YUTA IS HERE! BUSAIKU KNEE on Cope!!
The fans boo but of course The Decoder defends Moxley! Now even Yuta is shocked to see Spike stuck in Moxley’s back! Yuta helps Moxley, but as he pulls on Spike, Moxley’s skin is stretched and torn up more! The ref gets Spike off of Moxley’s back while Yuta goes out after Cope. But Cope pops Yuta up to POWERBOMB him through the table!! That’s what Yuta gets! But CLAUDIO CASTAGNOLI IS BACK! And PAC! The Death Riders return to mug Cope and help Moxley! They put Cope in, we see Moxley’s bloody back, and Cope goes to a corner. Pac runs in for an ELBOW! Claudio runs in for an UPPERCUT!
Pac runs back in for an ELBOW! Claudio UPPERCUTS! They keep the cycle of violence going, then Claudio feeds Cope to a LARIAT! Pac takes the chair, puts it under Cope’s head, and Claudio grabs another chair. Claudio brings that chair over rather menacingly, but wait! FTR is here! Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood rejoin the fight against the Death Riders! Cash brawls with Claudio and TOSSES him while Dax has Pac! Then Cash DIVES to wipe Claudio out into the desk! Pac throat chops Dax, but Dax ducks a roundhouse to DDT Pac! Moxley is up to spin Dax around, but Dax kicks low! PILEDRIVER!!
The fans fire up as Dax then LARIATS Pac and himself up and out of the ring! Things are even now, and Cope seethes as he rises up. Moxley rises, Cope takes aim! SPEAR through the table!!! The fans are thunderous as both men wipe out through the wood! The fans love “A E DUB! A E DUB!” for giving them this insane match! Cope drags Moxley to a cover, BUT MARINA BREAKS IT! Marina Shafir is again a Problem, and she rains down forearms on Cope! But WILLOW NIGHTINGALE IS HERE! The Babe with the Power gets in there to fire hands on Marina! SHORT ARM LARIAT! Marina tumbles out, Willow goes to the apron, CANNONBALL!

Renee Paquette is with The Most Wanted, and brings up the horrible things Chris Jericho did at Revolution. How have he and his family been since then? Bandido says wrestling, lucha libre, it runs in his veins. And he knows the dangers, he can handle them. But what Chris Jericho did to his brother, Gravity, and how that was the first AEW show their mother and sister ever attended, it was humiliating! Jericho made Bandido’s mother cry in front of him, and Bandido will never forgive Jericho for that! So on Slam Dunk Sunday Night Collision, Bandido hopes Jericho shows up and acts like a man! Bring Gravity’s mask and give it back!
But Johnny TV steps in and somewhat sarcastically says wow, Bandido’s whole family was embarrassed and his mom cried on camera. WHO CARES?! Renee remarks that it is officially going to be Moxley VS Swerve at AEW Dynasty, then welcomes in The Cowboy. Hangman steps in, and Renee says that while she has a feeling she already knows the answer, she will still ask the question. “What are your thoughts on this match being official?” Hangman says he has said this a thousand times. He vows to never let Swerve Strickland hold the AEW World Championship again. Hangman is nothing if not a man of his word. But after beating MJF at Revolution, Hangman will not let his vision be solely focused on someone else. His focus will be on himself.
And while many people have been jumping the gun to enter The Owen, Hangman will join the party. Hangman will win the Owen Hart Foundation Cup to then go on, challenge for and become the NEW AEW World Champion. Even if it’s Swerve. The Cowboy joins The Aerial Assassin, what other dangerous names will put their names in the hat?

Who mentored her? Whoever did knows nothing about pro-wrestling. If Mone had trained Billie, Billie might’ve had a chance at beating Mone for the title. HAHAHA! But no, who’s she kidding? Billie still would not have won, because Mone is the greatest TBS Champion of all time!

Kris runs in and UPPERCUTS Megan!
Kris runs side to side and BOOT WASHES Megan again! Kris brings Megan out, but Megan breaks free! Kris ducks the lariat to BLUE THUNDER BOMB! Cover, TWO! Megan survives and Kris seethes. Kris drags Megan up, scoops her, but Megan slips free! Megan shoves Kris and DECKS her! Kris goes to a corner, Megan runs in and LARIATS! And KNEES! Megan whips, Kris reverses and ROCKS Megan! Kris runs, but Megan clinches! OVERHEAD BELLY2BELLY! Kris flounders to the apron, Ford cheers Megan on, and Megan drags Kris up. Kris fights the back suplex this time, and she drags Megan out to the apron!
Megan fights Kris’s suplex, so Kris APRON GOURD BUSTERS! Kris drags Megan up, brings her over, and they go up a corner! Dynamite returns to single picture as Kris brings Megan up, but Megan slips under to RUNNING POWERBOMB!! Megan then fireman’s carries! “BOW DOWN!” FATE’S- NO! Kris lands out and runs the ropes, SCISSOR KICK! Both women are down and the fans fire up! Toni says she’s on the edge of her seat, and she looks to be about that as we get a standing count. The fans rally, Kris stirs at 3 of 10, and she crawls her way over to Megan. Kris sits Megan up to SLAP her! Megan SLAPS back!
The fans fire up as Kris SLAPS again! Megan SLAPS Kris! Both women stand, the SLAPS keep going! The fans fire up behind Kris and boo Megan, and Kris fires a flurry of SLAPS! Then a PELE! Kris runs, but Ford trips her! The ref saw that, and EJECTS Ford! The fans fire up while Ford freaks out! Kris stands, but Megan runs in! Kris ducks the lariat and kips up! SUPERKICK! Megan BOOTS in return! Kris ROUNDHOUSES! Megan roars, but Kris gets under the boot to POWERBOMB! Kris hurries to scoop and MICHINOKU DRIVER! Cover, TWO!! Megan survives, Toni says she’s nervous, because just look at the power!
Megan and Kris stand, and Kris goes up a corner. Kris leaps, but into a GERMAN SUPLEX! But Kris is right up! And she GERMAN SUPLEXES Megan! But Megan’s right up to GERMAN SUPLEX Kris! Kris still stands, then dodges Megan to SNAP GERMAN! Megan is right up to LEAPING LARIAT! Kris tumbles out, the fans are thunderous, and Megan takes aim…!? “This is Awesome!” as Megan builds speed and DIVES! Direct hit at the ramp! Megan roars, drags Kris up and into the ring, and then hauls Kris up! Megan suplexes, for a FALCON ARROW! Cover, TWO!! Kris survives and Megan is a bit surprised.
Kris crawls away to the ropes, but Megan rises up again. Megan runs, but Kris DUMPS her to the apron! Kris has Megan in the ropes, DRAPING DDT! Megan tumbles out, Kris goes to the apron, CANNONBALL! Kris hauls Megan up, but Megan throws Kris into the apron! And then into Toni Storm! Megan wipes out Toni with Kris’s body and the fans boo! Megan then hauls Kris up, fireman’s carry, FATE’S DESCENT on the floor! Megan shoves Kris into the ring, and then tells Toni to watch this! Megan storms in after Kris, drags her up again, fireman’s carry! “BOW! DOWN!” FATE’S DESCENT!! Cover, Megan wins!!

The Megasus continues her dominant streak, but wait! Toni Storm is taping up her hands, ready to throw down! The fans fire up as the champ gets in the ring! Toni fires fists with Megan right away and the fans fire up! Security rushes out here but the fans boo! “Let Them Fight! Let Them Fight!” Megan breaks free of security to CLOBBER Toni! Toni staggers back up, and she shoves free to LARIAT Megan up and out! Megan lands on her feet, but security does their best to keep these two apart! Megan is beside herself, but Toni grabs a mic to say, “My gawd, you’re a big b*tch!” Fans cheer that!
“I’ve always said the bigger they are, the harder they come. So it’s about time you and I got tantric! You keep looking at my title, but you don’t have much to say. So I’m gonna make this very easy for you. You and I shall have a date at Dynasty! And I will make your thighs shake and your body quake, and I will leave with this strap on, for I am TIMELESS TONI STORM! And I will tear your tits off!!” The Megasus has the title match she wants, but will she get much more than she bargained for?
My Thoughts:
A great Dynamite that almost lost some matches given the blizzard that hit today. But it looks like we got everything they were hoping to get done tonight, especially in building up Dynasty. The Fatal 4 Way was an awesome opener, and what an incredibly clever way to give two guys that win to raise the stakes on Kenny Omega. I also feel like we should get Bailey VS Ricochet 1v1 just to see “who’s better” going into the Triple Threat, and maybe indicate some go-home math towards that match. I would think part of the Triple Threat nature is so that regardless of the result, all three men look strong, but I’m leaning towards Omega winning.
Mone VS Billie was a great match, a great showing for Billie’s return to cable TV, but this makes her 0-2 all time for the TBS Championship (she lost to Jade Cargill on a Battle of the Belts special). However, Mone’s promo talking trash on Billie’s mentor planted major seeds for Mone VS Athena in time for All In: Texas, as I’ve been hoping for. Good promo from The Outrunners, but it seems like they didn’t make it to Omaha, or else they’d be teaming with Hobbs for Collision, not Briscoe & Rocky. Though it’s not like there isn’t ground for Briscoe teaming with Hobbs when they were the ones that confronted the Murder Machines last week.
Good promo from Bandido to respond to Jericho and call him out, and Johnny TV wanting a match with him is interesting. I suppose Johnny can take a loss for Bandido to get some momentum back before having it out with Jericho one more time. Good promo from MJF to set up meeting with MVP next week. I can’t be sure which way he’s going to swerve us. Mentioning he needs back up to take on The Death Riders would make me think he accepts MVP’s offer, but referencing Adam Cole turning on him makes me think he won’t. It’d make the most sense if he accepted the help, because it’s means to an end.
Great match from Ospreay VS Fox, and a great win for Ospreay to keep his momentum up from Revolution. I do appreciate him selling the damage from Revolution to add some doubt into his story. Ospreay will surely make it to the finals of the Owen Hart Cup, but his odds of winning shifted the moment Hangman Page said he’d be in. Hangman was denied the Cup last year, he might make good on a second attempt, especially if Swerve wins at Dynasty. Moxley VS Cope being a Street Fight went about how I expected: The entrances turned into a brawl, that brawl went all over the place, and then there was major overbooking. As such, Moxley wins, honestly making him look weak for it, but I suppose most Heel champs do end up like that.
FTR being part of the save that didn’t help Cope win, that’s a clever way of adding to the frustrations of FTR that is also sending them down a Heel path. Granted, this moment in itself, with Dax being the most upset and not even wanting Cash to talk to him feels out of place. There should’ve been something like this even before the “frustrations” from facing Undisputed Kingdom showed up. Chalk it up to more of TK’s backwards booking like he’s done with Jericho feuds. But I don’t see FTR breaking up, Cash will just start to see things Dax’s way and FTR goes Heel again as they keep after the AEW World Tag Team Championships.
Very good matches made for Collision and the awkward two-parter it has to pull because of NCAA basketball. Hart VS Aminata is going to be really good, but Aminata’s feud with Deeb is still on standby, so I think Hart wins out. And great main event from Megan and Kris tonight, with Toni doing another excellent job on commentary. Great win for Megan, and great brawl from her and Toni before Toni makes it official. Toni is a master at innuendos in her promos. That title match is going to be awesome, but I would think Toni finds a way to retain. Megan is great, but it might be a bit too soon for her to be world champion.
