This week’s BWN was a special one for a few reasons. It marked the first time the show was broadcast live on X and YouTube, sure. But it also saw the long-awaited official debut of the X-Men in the MCU. The latest trailer for Avengers: Doomsday featured familiar characters, including Professor X, Magneto, and Cyclops. The guys break it all down for you, as well as some other big trailers for titles like Unreal Season 2, They Will Kill You, and an interesting UAP/UFO documentary, Starman (no….not a remake of the 1984 sci-fi classic). Meanwhile, the saga with WB, Paramount, and Netflix rolls onward as WB rejected an 8th attempt from Paramount for a hostile buyout, and a very prominent director drew a line in the sand against Netflix. Is Rey finally ready to admit that a stand-alone Blade movie is dead? Are you ready for AI to help get you through your favorite PlayStation games when you get stuck? Is the Batman 2 cast ridiculously stacked with the addition of Sebastian Stan (possibly as Harvey Dent)? And who won the play-in battles for the #16 seeds in our Battle Royal Madness tournament? This week, we bring you another wild visit to the Trailer Park as we take a look at trailers for the Chevy Chase documentary, a reboot (of sorts) for The Muppet Show, and, wait….PC Tunney recommended a horror film? Apparently so, as we take a look at the trailer for Primate. Of course, the MCU headlines the Trailer Park this week as the Nerds discuss the latest Thor-based Avengers: Doomsday trailer, as well as the official trailer for Wonder Man. How do these two seemingly unrelated trailers fit into the broader scope of the MCU, and what, exactly, does Dr. Doom want with all these kids? In News Around the Nerdosphere, we look at the mammoth success of Zootopia 2, and ponder whether the equally huge success of Stranger Things might cause Netflix to rethink its stance of making movies for the cinema. The Main Event of the show, however, has the Nerds discussing the best of 2025 in the Nerdosphere. Who did we think were our best actors/actresses of the year? What were the best movies and shows?
