AEW takes a look at tonight’s TNT Championship No Holds Barred main event!
Darby Allin tells Samoa Joe, “I knew when I took this from you in Seattle that you’d want it back. And I know you’d stop at nothing to have it back. Well, I’m gonna make things fair. You beat me in Texas, and you granted me my rematch in Seattle. So I’m granting you your rematch in Ohio. But I want it under one condition: No Holds Barred.” Samoa Joe told the “Little Dead Boy” that Joe is “coming to take back what’s mine. The King will not be usurped by a man like you.” Darby says if he walks out the winner, Joe doesn’t get another rematch. If Joe walks out the winner, Darby won’t get a rematch. This will be the final chapter of their feud! So who writes their happily ever after?
Backstage interview with Jamie Hayter, The Bunny, The Butcher & The Blade.
Renee Paquette is with the AEW Women’s World Champion, as well as the mercenary trio. Renee thanks them for agreeing to no physicality, and understands that Allie the Bunny requested this time. Bunny tells Hayter, they’re all very impressed by Hayter’s win over Emi Sakura on Rampage last Friday. Now, Bunny feels like Sakura outshined Hayter, but great win nonetheless. And Bunny knows Hayter isn’t the type to back down from a challenge, right? Right. So here’s a challenge: next week on Dynamite, Hayter VS Bunny in a Title Eliminator Match! What does Hayter say? Hayter says absolutely! She bloody loves a challenge, and next week, she’s free.
Renee says there’s something happening as we speak! They get it on the television screen nearby, and it’s Britt Baker being mugged by Saraya and Toni Storm!! Bunny is shocked and Hayter is furious! Hayter hurries off, Saraya talks right into the camera, “AEW is OUR house!” Storm drags Britt up to RAM her into a garage door! Bunny more or less expresses exasperation, but will Hayter be able to save the Doctor?
The Acclaimed w/ Billy Gunn VS Truth Magnum & Turbo Floyd!
The AEW World Tag Team Champions have been reigning for 133 days, but they know the Gunn Sons, Austin & Colten, are gunning for them. But first, they tune up against “The Outrunners.” As always, Platinum Max has a diss track ready! “Acclaimed on the mic, you know we the nicest. Fighting two guys in their midlife crisis! I bet you have sex with each other. How we gonna fight the bootleg Beverly Brothers? C’mon, it’s not the 80s! Acclaimed gonna make you call it quits like you Tom Brady! ‘Ey, y’all should be ashamed. In Ohio, everybody loves The Acclaimed.”
Fans cheer, and Bowens gets the mic to say, “NNNUTTER CENTERRR~! The Acclaimed have arrived! SCISSOR ME, DADDY ASS!” And he does~! But while Caster & Bowens just embarrassed Truth & Turbo, are they walking into a trap game before taking on the Ass Boys?
The teams sort out, the Outrunners decide they’ll scissor finger! They mock the Mega Powers at the same time, but then Bowens SUPERKICKS Truth out of the ring! The bell rings, Caster CHOPS Turbo and scoops him to SLAM him! Tag to Bowens and Bowens goes up top! Caster holds open the legs, SCISSOR ME TURBO! Daddy Ass gets in the ring so that he and the boys can TRIPLE SCISSOR~! Bowens waits on Turbo, mule kicks and hits the ARRIVAL! Tag to Caster and he goes up top, MIC DROP! Cover, The Acclaimed win!

But wait! Raining on the parade are Austin & Colten! Fans taunt the “ASS~ BOYS~!” But they tune that out. They go to the ring, and Colten has a mic. “Hey, good match, guys. But we’re here to talk about something serious. Last week, what we said would make us happy are your belts. And we want a shot at those belts, and we want an answer right now.” Fans boo but Caster has the mic to say, “Yo! Yo! Yo! Yo! Listen.” Bowens says, “You two Rod ‘n’ Todd lookin’ asses want an answer. You do realize you are interrupting the most popular tag team in all of wrestling, right?” Caster adds, “That’s right!”
“The winningest tag team in AEW history!” “That’s right!” “The FOREVER champs, the Acclaimed!” “That’s right!” “And not to mention, EVERYONE! LOVES! THE ACCLAIMED!” But they are the People’s Choice, and the People’s Voice, they will ask the people. Colten says these fans can’t even read! But Bowens still asks Dayton’s opinion: Do the Ass Boys deserve a shot at the tag titles? “NOOO~!” Well, the people have spoken, so NO. Austin & Colten get in Caster’s & Bowens’ faces, but Billy tells them all to stop! Isn’t it enough already? Billy is so sick of this, he is just done! Billy says this is too much, so go ahead, beat the sh*t out of each other!
Daddy Ass steps aside, fans fire up, but Austin says, “There you go. Do exactly what you did our entire childhoods and turn your back on us.” Billy stops walking up the ramp, but then chuckles as he keeps going. Austin says Billy should do what he used to do, and drown his sorrows at the bottom of a PILL BOTTLE! That gets Billy to turn around! Billy storms up on his sons and The Acclaimed, as well as the fans, tell the Ass Boys that they F’d up. Billy is up in Austin’s face and says, “So you two think you just put your big boy pants on? Then you just step up, and you just made the biggest mistake…”
The mic is wonky so Billy throws it down. Bowens gives Billy the good one. Billy wants Austin to look at him after what he just said. Austin looks up at his father’s eyes. Billy says if they’ve got their big boy pants on, if they think they got what it takes, if they think they have what Billy had, then we’ll see next week. They’ve got their title shots! The Acclaimed is surprised but the Ass Boys smile that they’re getting their way. Will Austin & Colten get what they want? Or just what they deserve?
Backstage interview with Jack Perry.
Alex Marvez is with Jungle Boy and notes that he and Hook are 2-0 as a team, having beaten The Firm’s Ethan Page & Matt Hardy. The question is: What’s next for #JungleHook? JB says that he had an amazing time teaming with Hook, and Hook has had JB’s back when no one else did. But JB’s done the tag team thing before. In fact, JB has been all the way to the top of that mountain, and fallen all the way down. But this year isn’t about that. What JB will say is that he’ll be a champion again, but all by himself. Then just what title will Jack Perry aim for in this Tarzan Life?

Backstage interview with the Jericho Appreciation Society.
Renee is with Matthew Menard, Angelo Parker, Daniel Garcia, Sammy Guevara, and of course, Chris Jericho himself. Renee says that we heard Ricky Starks’ comments from last week, addressing how the JAS cheated to win. What is their reaction? Jericho says, “Cheated? We haven’t worked together in five years, and you’re accusing us of cheating? Let me say this, Renee. Ricky Starks, he didn’t lose to a baseball bat, no. Did you see a baseball bat in there?” Of course the JAS says no. Jericho says Starks lost to the JAS. And now Starks challenges them, “How can I get another match with Chris Jericho?”
Jericho says the JAS has an idea how Starks can do that. Right, Sammy? Sammy says yes. Garcia and Sammy put their heads together, and they came up with a great idea: The Guevara-Garcia… No, wait, the Garcia-Guevara Gauntlet! Danny thanks Sammy for the top billing on that name. Renee asks what kind of gauntlet they have in mind. Garcia says it’s a rather simple concept. “Ricky, first you’re gonna have to beat Cool Hand Ange. And if that happens, you’re gonna have to beat Daddy Magic.” Menard adds, “Beat Daddy Magic? I DON’T THINK SO!” Garcia says that if Starks somehow does that, then he beats either Garcia or Guevara, but they’ll reveal that the night of.
And then, if somehow, by the skin of his teeth, Starks makes it past all that, only then does Starks get his hands on Jericho. Jericho tells Starks, “You don’t call the shots around here, the Jericho Appreciation Society does. So if you can get through the Garcia-Guevara Gauntlet, I’ll be ready to rip your ass!” Will the Absolute survive three matches in one go to finally have another shot at The Ocho?
The Elite speak.
Matt Jackson asks Brandon Cutler if the camera is rolling as he, brother Nick, Kenny Omega, Michael Nakazawa and Don Callis are on the basketball court. Cutler says yes, they’re live, while Nakazawa and Callis are oiling Omega up. Matt says, “Ladies and gentlemen, check it out who it is! It’s the first-ever, two-time Trios Champions, The Elite.” Omega says that’s right, and he tells Top Flight, “I watched what you guys did. After a Best of 7 Series in a ladder match, you got one up on our boys. Well how ’bout next week, you bring your friend, AR Fox, next week and we’ll put these belts on the line, and you guys can shoot your shot.
“But hey, when you shoot that shot, you best not miss. Because The Elite never miss. Nick, if you will.” Nick takes the rock and shoots it, THREE POINTER! Oh, but wait! The Firm’s Stokely Hathaway, Ethan Page, Matt Hardy & Isiah Kassidy walk in. Callis has Cutler keep rolling, and Omega mockingly asks where Stokely is, he can’t see him. Oh haha, Stokely knows you see him, he’s right here. But listen, you three are doing NOTHING all week? No wrestling, nothing? Just a week off? Ethan thinks that’s funny. The Firm’s employees don’t have that luxury, they work every single week, and Ethan wants that streak to continue.
So Ethan says how about this: The Elite VS Ethan, Matt & “Zay,” Friday on Rampage. Omega tells Callis he isn’t so sure, but Callis says this is Matt Hardy. If they get footage of Hardy taking a One Winged Angel, they could sell that NFT for a lot of money. Hardy says, “What about an NFT with Matt Hardy Twist-Of-Fating Omega?” Ethan likes that better! Well, as far as a match, it’s done. The Elite VS The Whatever They Are. Kassidy says he hopes the Elite is ready, cuz they sure are. Kassidy unsettles Kenny with an arm around his shoulders and a moan, and Ethan says this is good business. Hey, Brandon, is it? Cut the camera!
Matt Jackson tells Ethan Page that he doesn’t tell Brandon what to do! THEY tell him! Turn off the camera, ya damn dumbass! And get off the court, they’re trying to play. But will this 3v3 pick-up game go The Elite’s way? Or is it a trap game before taking on Fox, Dante & Darius?
Bryan Danielson VS Timothy Thatcher!
In the American Dragon’s quest to be #1 contender, he has defeated Tony Nese, Konosuke Takeshita, Bandido and Brian Cage, an undefeated streak of 4-0 in 2023! Thatcher slides into the ring and stands Bryan up by his ears! Thatcher CLUBS Bryan on the chest! Thatcher fishhooks Bryan to stand him up, and CLUBS him again!

This is done!” MJF goes to the ring, but KONOSUKE flies in outta nowhere!! Konosuke won’t let MJF screw Bryan over! Konosuke attacks MJF, RAMS him into railing, and chases him to the back!
Bryan has Thatcher but Thatcher snatches the arm! FUJIWARA ARMBAR!! The ref is up, he asks Bryan, but Bryan endures! Thatcher pushes way back on the arm, but Bryan pushes his way forward with his legs! ROPEBREAK!! Fans fire up as Bryan survives by a literal foot! Thatcher lets go in frustration and he scowls as he throws hands on the bad arm. Thatcher drags Bryan up, clinches, BELLY2BELLY SUPLEX! Bryan flounders but Thatcher runs in, clinches, but Bryan switches! GERMAN SUPLEX! Thatcher fumes as he gets back up! Bryan dodges him, runs back in, BUSAIKU KNEE!! Cover, Bryan wins!
Winner: Bryan Danielson, by pinfall
Now 5-0 on the year, the quest continues! The American Dragon is not yet slain, but wait! MJF and Konosuke continue brawling backstage! MJF turns things around to send MJF into a road case! MJF gets a chair to CHUCK it at Konosuke’s head! And then he throws a trash bin! MJF says if Konosuke wants after him, this is what he gets! But Konosuke turns things back around to SMACK MJF off a table! MJF comes back, the hands fly, and security rushes in! Referees and management try to stop this, too! MJF says he’ll kill Konosuke but Konosuke says about the same in Japanese! Renee runs in to be on the scene, and she tells everyone to stop!
Renee informs everyone, “Per Tony Khan, next week on Dynamite in an Eliminator match, it will be Takeshita VS MJF!” MJF is pissed, he doesn’t agree to that, but he MUST! Will the Devil of AEW find that the Future of Wrestling is better than him?
Mogul Affiliates speak.
Swerve Strickland says, “It’s been a real relaxing last couple of weeks for Swerve and the Mogul Affiliates and all, since getting rid of some dead weight and all this. Until I was like, retriggered.” Dustin Rhodes returning to stand in front of Swerve’s camera, in front of Swerve’s lights, and with Swerve’s interviewer! “The Rhodes Family legacy really gets under my skin, with your father, Dusty Rhodes, giving Keith Lee the ‘Limitless’ moniker. So, since he’s not here, Dustin’s not here, either, let’s find some other nepotism, second generation punk boy to get rid of Friday night on Rampage. That means you, Brian Pillman. Ain’t that right, Parker?”
Parker Boudreaux says that’s right. “Ain’t that right, Trench?” The tattooed man says, “Yeah, that’s right.” Hoodies up, but will they put Bulletproof BPJ down?
BREAKING NEWS for next week!
February 8th, the deadline for Bryan Danielson becoming #1 contender, will see The American Dragon taking on La Faccion Ingobernable’s El Toro Blanco, RUSH!! And speaking of…
Backstage interview with LFI.
Lexi Nair is with El Toro Blanco, but also Jose the Assistant and “Perro Peligroso,” Preston Vance. She notes the announcement of Rush VS Bryan, but then there’s a knock at the door. MJF walks in and says, “Hola, mi hermanos! Senor Vance, Senor Jose, Senor Rrrrrush.” Rush asks what the hell this “perro” wants. MJF double checks, “perro” is dog, right? Well, there’s a little thing called personal space, so he’s just gonna take a step back. “But here’s the deal: my, uh, Spanish is come se dice… Mid. But I know one language, my friend, that is mucho, mucho universal.” And that is MONEY! A huge briefcase full of it!
MJF snaps the case shut and smiles. This first one is free of charge. But he has FIVE MORE filled to the brim with dinero. All Rush has to do is beat Bryan Danielson “by any means necessary.” All Rush needs to do is rip Bryan’s arm off and beat him over the head with it. Can Rush pull that off for him? Jose, translate. Jose translates, but Rush seems to understand explicitly. Rush tells MJF in Spanish, and MJF asks “dipsh*t” Jose to translate. Jose sums it up by saying they have a deal. Oh, is that right? That sounded a bit longer than that. But Rush, you don’t have to like MJF. He just has to get the job done. Pleasure doing business with you, perro.
MJF leaves, but Rush has his mission. Will Rush be raking in the money with one match? Or will nothing stop Bryan Danielson from earning his title match?

FIFTY AND OH! Velvet came the closest of all, but will anyone ever stop Jade’s undefeated streak?
Backstage interview with Britt Baker.
Renee is with The Doctor, as well as Jamie Hayter, as they are with Doc Sampson. We only caught a glimpse of what happened to her earlier at the hands of Saraya & Storm, how is Britt feeling? Britt says this is fine. She’s fine, and if that’s how Storm & Saraya wanna play, that’s fine, too. Because Britt & Hayter can play that game, too. But wait, in walks Ruby Soho! Ruby just wants to talk. She heard what happened, is Britt good? Uh, Ruby, weren’t those your girls? Ruby has Britt hold on there. Ruby has nothing to do with Saraya & Storm, she doesn’t know what Britt’s talking about.
Britt says Ruby’s known Saraya & Storm a lot longer than she’s known the AEW originals, so sorry if it’s strange that Ruby only now shows up. But yeah, Britt is good. Hayter says Britt is great, actually. Ruby says she’s glad to hear it and walks off. There are battle lines being drawn, which side is the Runaway on?
BREAKING NEWS for Rampage!
Not only are The Elite and The Firm having it out, it is for the AEW World Trios Championships! Will Kenny & The Young Bucks make it through All Ego, Hardy & Kassidy to then take on Fox & Top Flight? Or will there be a change of plans for Dynamite? And speaking of Saraya & Storm, they are in tag team action once again, but will they continue to beat down All Elite homegrown talent? Plus, before taking on Bryan Danielson, Rush will take on the Fallen Angel, Christopher Daniels, in an epic match of former ROH World Heavyweight Champions! Will El Toro Blanco build momentum going into his battle with The American Dragon?
AEW TNT Championship No Holds Barred: Darby Allin w/ Sting VS Samoa Joe!
The series is tied at 1-1, with the Samoan Submission Specialist winning in Texas, but the Relentless One winning in his hometown of Seattle. Dynamite in Dayton is throwing out all the rules except one: win! Will Darby continue to be the fighting champion? Or will Joe return to being the One True King of Wrestling Television?
The introductions are made, the TNT title is raised, and one way or another, this is the series finale of Darby VS Joe!
Darby takes off his trench coat to reveal he, uh, customized his Hoodlum hoodie. He’s covered it in thumbtacks!! And as soon as he’s in the ring, he rushes in to COFFIN SPLASH Joe! Joe is reeling from the tack attack but Darby fires off tack-covered forearms! Fans fire up as Darby runs corner to corner, but Joe dodges the splash to GAMANGIRI! Joe then wraps up an arm in his towel, to LARIAT Darby down! Fans rally, Joe pulls Darby’s tack hoodie off and throws it away. Joe drags Darby up to CHOP him! Darby goes to a corner, but Darby kicks back. Joe stomps Darby, stomps him down, then storms off.
Joe goes out to look under the ring, and he brings out a TABLE! Dayton fires up, Joe picks the table up, but Darby DIVESÂ into the table and Joe! The table doesn’t break but it, Joe and Darby all hit the floor! Joe is busted open on his forehead and fans fire up! Darby hurries to stand the table up, to then drop it on Joe! Darby then brings the steel steps around into the corner of the railing. Darby whips, Joe reverses, and Darby not only clips steel steps, he clips railing! Darby lands on his feet just from momentum, but he soon falls to his knees, clutching his back! Fans lose their minds while Joe stalks out after Darby.
Joe stands Darby up, throws knees into him, and then throws him into railing. Joe drags Darby up and they go up the bleachers. Joe SMACKS Darby off the handrail, then brings him up further. Joe smacks Darby off more railing, then keeps him going up. But Darby fights back! Darby CLUBS and CLAWS Joe’s back! Fans fire up but Joe DUMPS Darby down the steps! Fans are going nuts while Joe glares through his crimson mask, and Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Joe drags Darby up again, grinds him against the handrail, then SMACKS him off a fan’s chair! They go back to the lower level as Darby kicks Joe and crawls away. Joe keeps after Darby, drags him up, and brings him around the way to TOSS back to ringside! Darby narrowly misses hitting steel steps head first! Joe stalks Darby, drags Darby back up, then scoop SLAMS him on the steps! Darby writhes, flounders away, but Joe follows him to the corner. Darby throws Joe’s ROH World TV title at him, but that only upsets Joe. Joe storms in after Darby, stalks him to a corner, and waits on Darby to stand before he DECKS him!
Joe eggs Darby on as he stands over him. Darby doesn’t stand so Joe makes him. Joe snapmares to CHOP Darby on the back! And PENALTY KICK him in the chest! And then drops a fist on his head! Joe watches Darby writhe and the ref checks on him. Joe grins through the crimson mask, then stomps Darby down. Joe kicks Darby, then clamps on a neck wrench! Joe leans all his weight on Darby but Darby throws body shots. Joe doesn’t budge, and he CLUBS Darby down. Joe grins as Darby tires to sit back up. Joe clamps the neck wrench back on and he twists even harder! Darby endures, and Dynamite returns to single picture as Darby throws more body shots.
Joe lets go of the neck wrench, Darby hobbles and runs, but into an ELBOW! Darby falls over and Joe covers, TWO! Joe keeps focus as he looms over Darby. Joe KICKS Darby to a corner, and then stomps him. Fans rally and duel, but Joe is annoyed by that. Joe drags Darby up, DECKS him with a forearm, then clamps on another neck wrench! It’s practically a vice on Darby’s head, squeezing his skull! Darby endures, fights up, and he RAMS Joe into buckles! Darby fires off forearms and SLAPS! Darby runs corner to corner, but into the URENAGE! Cover, TWO!! Darby survives the #STJOE, but Joe stands Darby up to CHOP him!
Darby staggers, Joe CHOPS him again! Darby flops to the apron, Joe builds speed and he BOOTS Darby to the floor! Joe then storms out and looks under the ring. Joe brings out another TABLE! Fans fire up again but Joe has fans move aside. Fans oblige and Joe rests the table against railing. Darby is in the ring, Joe goes in and brings Darby up, but Darby JAWBREAKERS before the sleeper could lock in! Darby runs in at the corner to CHOP! And CHOP! And CHOP! Darby CHOPS away on Joe, but Joe TOSSES Darby right out of the ring! Joe has been treating Darby like a throw pillow, emphasis on the “throw!”
Darby flounders up, but Joe goes back over to bring him back in. Joe suplexes high and hard! Joe then goes out to fetch chairs! Joe puts a handful of chairs in the ring, then sets them up together. Fans fire up as they’re back to back to make a wedge! Joe stands Darby up, brings him over, BIG back suplex on the chair wedge!! Darby writhes and Joe has a sadistic smile. “Joe is gonna kill~ you!” Joe turns the chairs around to face each other, then brings Darby back up. But Darby uses POCKET SAND to stop the bomb! CODE RED!! Cover, TWO!! Joe survives but Darby hurries to hop on! THROWBACK STUNNER!
Joe falls into a drop zone, and Darby hurries to get his hoodie back! Darby puts that back on, climbs up the corner, and COFFIN DROPS!! Cover, TWO!?!? Joe survives the tack-enhanced senton and fans can’t believe it! Darby hurries outside and goes looking. Darby uses a knife to cut the strings that hold down the canvas! Some are tough but they all give way, and Darby pulls the canvas away. Darby then drags off the foam padding to expose bare wood! Darby is deconstructing the ring in order to better destroy Joe! Darby sees Joe outside, builds speed and DIVES, but Joe walks away! Darby CRASHES THROUGH THE TABLE!!!
Dayton is losing their minds as Joe puts Darby back in! Joe sets Darby’s tack covered jacket down, he picks Darby up, and he POWERBOMBS him on the tacks! AND THEN HE SMOTHERS DARBY WITH THE TACK JACKET!! Darby DIGS at Joe’s eyes!! Joe lets Darby go, but he staggers around blindly! Joe stands up into a CHAIR SHOT! And another! And another! Darby has Joe on the hard wood, climbs up top, but Joe pushes the ref into the ropes to trip Darby up!! Joe climbs up after Darby, tucks him in, and hits a SUPER MUSCLE BUSTER TO THE WOOD!!!! Cover, JOE WINS!!!
Winner: Samoa Joe, by pinfall (NEW AEW TNT Champion)
Darby’s relentless streak is over! Samoa Joe is now a TWO-TIME TWO BELT CHAMPION! But wait! “THIS IS WAAAR~!” Fans go nuts for Wardlow as he storms down to the ring! Joe is just as shocked as Wardlow runs in! SPEAR!! Wardlow rains down fists on the man who took his title and his top knot! Wardlow rips his shirt off, drags Joe up, but Joe scrambles away! Fans boo but Joe isn’t going to fight again so soon after the war he just went through. Security rushes out but Wardlow CLOBBERS them all! Then he hauls one up to POWERBOMB out onto all the others!! Wardlow will not be denied, when and where will he get his hands on Joe?
My Thoughts:
This was an awesome Dynamite! Same balance of action and talking, but the action was all on a different level this week. Of the talking, we got good stuff out of this AEW Originals VS Imports in the Women’s Division. Saraya & Storm really up their Heel heat by just attacking Britt unprovoked, and then Ruby checking in on Britt was an interesting turnaround from her telling she didn’t want Britt’s help. But we’re getting closer and closer to that big tag(?) match. Hell, make it a Blood & Guts match but with the women rather than the men. Saraya leads a team, Britt leads a team, Ruby will choose Britt’s side and there could even be a twist of Shida betraying Saraya during the match to cost the anti-AEW team.
Good promo from the JAS to set up things with Starks. I just knew Starks would have to beat everyone in the JAS eventually, so it’s clever for them to get it all done in one gauntlet match. Starks will of course make it past Menard and Parker, and I bet that just as it looks like Garcia is stepping up to face Starks, Guevara takes the spotlight from him. Starks will still get through the final opponent, and he’ll get his match with Jericho. Good promo from Mogul Affiliates, because one: it establishes that their group doesn’t like multigenerational wrestlers, and two: it gave Granden Goetzman his wrestler name, “Trench.” Swerve will surely beat BPJ, but I bet Dustin teams up with BPJ and Brock Anderson as a sort of AEW take on WWE’s Legacy faction to take on Mogul Affiliates.
Good promo from Jack Perry, but I’m surprised he waited until now to establish that he’s done with tag teams. But I suppose he’s done with The Firm, too, so he’s done needing reinforcements. As it stands, if he wants a singles title, he could start with the All-Atlantic Championship, but I could see JB making a move for THE AEW World title. Speaking of The Firm, good promo from them and The Elite. I wonder if this was really live or just the take where Nick actually made that shot. Anyway, I’m also surprised the trios match for Rampage is for the titles when the titles are going to be on the line for Dynamite. But I suppose if Orange Cassidy and Darby Allin are fighting champions, then so should the Elite. Which of course means The Elite win on Rampage to go on to face Fox & Flight.
We got an awesome match from Bryan VS Thatcher, but of course Bryan wins to keep his story going. Even after he had that awesome match with Brian Cage, Konosuke going after MJF was a great move. And getting himself an Eliminator match is a good, too, but I feel like MJF finds a way to stand tall. He’ll either cheat to win, or just get himself disqualified quickly so his night will be over quickly. MJF also had a really good promo with LFI. Rush is a great choice to take on Bryan Danielson, and Rush is also going to have a great match with Christopher Daniels on Rampage. I’m sure Bryan will still find a way to win and we’ll still get that Ironman match, it just has to be how this goes.
It’s mostly because I don’t even know who is the #2 contender, since AEW still hasn’t kept up with rankings in this new year. AEW bringing out a sudden twist of MJF still having that One Hour Ironman match against someone other than Bryan would be great stuff, since MJF has been so focused on Bryan, but I feel like getting MJF VS Bryan is still the thing everyone wants to see. Great opening match out of Hangman VS Moxley, and of course Moxley bleeds. It’s practically in his contract. But Hangman losing by a roll-up was a great surprise, and them still being after each other after, this has to continue until Revolution.
The Acclaimed winning a squash was a bit surprising, but obviously that was to make room for the promo that set up things with The Gunn Sons. But Billy suddenly saying his sons can have a title match with The Acclaimed? I hope there isn’t a turn coming where Billy is suddenly on his sons’ side again. It just feels like something is fishy, but who knows. Really good TBS title match from Jade and Velvet, but I guess since this wasn’t at a PPV, Jade wasn’t about to lose. Kiera trying to help Velvet only to mess things up was at least a good detail to protect Jade. But at this rate, who is even going to beat Jade when she’s gotten through even some great established names.
And of course, an awesome No Holds Barred match for the TNT title. Great innovation, such as Darby’s tack covered jacket and the different table spots. I was actually rather surprised to see Joe win this to once again be dual champion. But at the same time, Wardlow returning to continue his story with Joe is a logical reason as to why Joe needs to have the TNT title again. Perhaps Wardlow gets the TNT title back to have a second chance with that, and Darby can move up into the world title scene. And assuming MJF retains at Revolution, it works for Darby to be next as they have history in AEW.
My Score: 9/10

PROGRAMMING NOTE for Collision!
Well, it’s that there WON’T be a Collision! Between WrestleDream and the Men’s International Soccer Friendly, USA VS Panama, Collision is taking the week off. However, Friday Night Rampage and the Countdown to WrestleDream special will still happen, 10 PM to 11:30 PM Eastern!
Jon Moxley speaks.
“No one wants the blood of the very legend, The American Dragon, on their hands. The fact is, for the better part of two years, Bryan’s been trying to kamikaze himself. It’s been disconcerting to watch, trying to take himself out. Because as of yet, no one possesses the constitution to do it for him. The way things have worked out, it’s gotta be me. It’ll be a wakeup call for AEW. This is the real world. Nothing lasts forever. You don’t get to pick the day. All these people, living in a fantasy world, playing with their toys, they’re figments of their own imaginations. Saturday night, they will see the truth.
“Of course, there is this little matter of the dark side of Bryan Danielson that most people don’t understand. See, in his element, in the ring, doing what he was put here to do, The American Dragon comes to life, and it’s a beautiful thing. You back that dragon up into a corner, poke it, prod it, provoke it, it becomes something truly terrifying. Bryan’s never been truly comfortable with that part of himself. Now, as this world closes in around him, in his last remaining light, Bryan Danielson will embrace his dark side. And I will be ready. I have to be. I don’t have a choice. There are not enough people in the state of Washington to stop me on Saturday night.
“What I stand for is too powerful. I and those that come with me are too powerful. No weapon shall be formed against us, whom shall we fear!? I will run into the mouth of war Saturday night and beyond. Stand down while you can, run while you have a chance. I can only hope that one day, Bryan, you’ll understand. It’s gotta be this way. It’s gotta be this way. But I don’t have time to worry about that right now. The stakes are too high.” Moxley shoves the camera over and storms off, just what is driving The Maniac to these lengths?
Bryan Danielson speaks.
“So apparently, Claudio just did an interview with Sports Illustrated, telling everybody that this was gonna be my last match on Dynamite. Well guess what, Claudio? Big news: This is NOT gonna be my last night on Dynamite. Tonight, I’m gonna run through you and Pac, me and Wheeler Yuta are gonna run through you guys. And then on Saturday at WrestleDream, Mox, you don’t know what you’ve got coming to you. Listen, Claudio, I’ve been a supporter of you for over 20 years. 20 YEARS, I have been your friend! 20 YEARS, I have supported you in every company that we’ve worked together in!
“But tonight… Tonight, there’s gonna be no support. There’s just gonna be me, here in Spokane, Washington, kicking your gaddamn head in!” The American Dragon is all fired up, will he burn what’s left of the bridge between him and the Blackpool Combat Club?
Darby Allin is here!
The Relentless One let us know on Collision that he’d be here to call out Brody King, and he already has a mic. Darby shouts to cut his music, and he shouts for Brody King, “What’re you waiting for? Brody King, get your ass out here right now!” The fans cheer that, and Darby paces as he watches the stage. And here comes the King of Death! Brody grabs himself a mic before he steps into the ring with Darby, and Darby says he’s actually excited it’s Brody accepting the WrestleDream Open Challenge. Brody could’ve just asked nicely, he didn’t have to attack, but Darby knows what Brody is doing.
Remember years ago, when they were both on the independents? They would stay in these “crackhead” motels, talk all night, saying hopefully it’ll all be worth it. Hopefully one day, they’d make it to national TV while staying true to themselves. And Darby remembers that Brody was so nervous because he had his first kid on the way, didn’t know how his career was going to end up. Darby remembers everything. The thing is, years later, Darby was hired by AEW, and Brody called Darby up every week. Brody was so excited seeing AEW, it looked amazing, and Brody wished he was there. Darby wished Brody was here back then, too.
Because Brody was signed to ROH at the time. Until ROH shut down. No one knew it’s future, because before Tony Khan bought ROH, no one knew what would happen. Brody was out of a job with two young kids. And you know what Darby did? Darby called TK and told him to hire Brody King. Darby got Brody his job here! The fans cheer that. Darby says he knows Brody doesn’t take this for granted, just like Darby doesn’t take it for granted! But dude, they’re so much alike. Because of AEW, Brody could have his dad retire, just like Darby. Because of AEW, Brody bought his family a home. But the thing is, Brody now wants Darby’s spot and what Darby has.
And what Darby has is, he’s basically the Face of AEW! The thing is, he was the guy who was never supposed to make it. But thanks to AEW, he made it! He is the guy doing the talk shows, the radio shows, you name it and he does it. Brody stops Darby there. Darby is right, he has everything that Brody wants. But the difference is, Brody doesn’t take it for granted. We all know Darby has a death wish. So what happens when Darby climbs Mount Everest, and doesn’t come back? What happens when he DIES on that mountain?! Darby’s dad has to get a job again. AEW is without its face.
Darby can lie to all the fans and say he doesn’t take it for granted, but at the end of the day, Darby needs someone to save him… from himself! Then why wait? Why wait for Saturday? Put him out of his misery here and now! Do it! Take his spot! C’mon! He’s right here! Darby sits and tells Brody to do his little thing! Darby mockingly barks, “Woof, woof!” The fans join in, Darby dares Brody to do it, but Brody tells Darby to get up. Darby stands, the two stare down, and then Darby SLAPS Brody! Brody DECKS Darby! Brody looms over Darby, drags him up, and has the SLEEPER! But Darby brings something out of his jacket pocket.
IT’S THE BRICK! The brick Darby was smashing cars with last week! Darby SMASHES Brody’s hand with it! And then CLOBBERS Brody in the face! The fans are going nuts, and Darby aims, until security rushes in! Brody is busted open, but he’s pissed! The fans want to “LET THEM FIGHT! LET THEM FIGHT!” but these two will only have to wait a few more days. The Tacoma Dome might be more like the Roman Coliseum, which of these wild gladiators will walk away from WrestleDream?
Backstage interview with Lance Archer & Jake Roberts.
Renee Paquette is with The Murderhawk Monster & The Snake and says there has been a lot going on lately. It would seem Don Callis was trying to acquire Archer for his faction, but then speak of the devil. Callis steps in, says hello to Renee, and to “Mr. Roberts.” Callis says it is a very exciting day here for The Don Callis Family. As it turns out, he and Jake the Snake concluded the first-ever management to management talent exchange here in AEW. It is Calils’ understanding that after several long discussions, and several bank transactions, Mr. Archer is now part of The Don Callis Family, isn’t that right? Jake says absolutely!
The two shake hands, and Callis says what a pleasure. Archer doesn’t seem as pleased, but Renee asks what this means regarding Will Ospreay. We’re set to hear from Ospreay later tonight, but how will that affect him? Callis says he loves Ospreay, Ospreay is a great talent, but for now, “we’ve got some indoctrination to do.” Callis has big plans for Archer, time to meet The Family! Archer shakes hands with Jake as they part ways, and Renee asks who Jake got in return. Oh, well, does Renee like surprises? Yes. Good, cuz so does Jake. Just who did The Snake get giving up the Murderhawk Monster?
Daniel Garcia arrives backstage!
Renee is there to greet Red Death here in Spokane and notes we haven’t seen him since AEW All Out roughly a month ago. Since then, there has been a lot of questions regarding Garcia’s AEW future, so what’s going on? Garcia says as much as he would love to give an answer right now, he owes the world to go tell them himself. Renee thanks Garcia for his time, then Garcia heads inside. What will Garcia have to say about his next chapter?
Holo.grm VS Komander!
The futuristic luchador and the Commander of the Skies were a major part of that high-flying Fatal 4 Way on Collision, and now they’re going to turn it up a notch for Title Tuesday! But will Hologram’s streak end after going 13-0? Or is there no such thing as “luck” with this incredible innovator?

Komander kicks and whips but Hologram jumps up to stand on Komander! Then he backflips off Komander, keeps moving, and tilt-o-whirls to DEJA VU ARM-DRAG! Komander bails out, the fans fire up, and Hologram DIVES! Direct hit and Komander is sent right into railing! The fans fire up while both men are down! Referee Aubrey Edwards checks on both men, and Hologram rises! The fans cheer, Hologram high-fives some of the front row, then he puts Komander in the ring. The fans rally up as Hologram stands Komander up. Hologram whips, pops Komander up and FLAPJACKS, to then BUZZSAW! Cover, TWO!
Hologram double checks, but it was dos. Hologram rolls to have the legs, and he ties Komander up. BRIDGING DEATHLOCK! Komander endures, shifts around, and they roll so that both men are on their knees. Komander hooks Hologram’s arms, but Hologram fights the backslide. Komander powers through, he drags Hologram free of the hold, but Hologram wrenches to facelock! Snap suplex! Cover, TWO! Komander is still in this, and Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Hologram stalks Komander to ropes, drags him up and into a corner, to then CHOP! Komander staggers to another corner, and Hologram winds up. But Komander turns things around to CHOP back! Komander fires up with the fans while Hologram goes to another corner. But now Hologram turns it around, to CHOP! Hologram whips corner to corner, runs in, and he ROCKS Komander! Then GAMANGIRI! Komander endures, the fans rally, and Komander rolls, only for Hologram to make it a stacked cover! TWO, but Hologram holds onto Komander’s arm. Hologram wrenches, hammerlocks, and then hits a rolling takeover! Hologram floats right to a leg, and he rolls Komander around to step through, TWISTING the deathlock into an STF! Komander endures as Hologram keeps busting out the Llave Submission Style! Komander claws his way forward, but now Hologram grabs an arm! Komander keeps fighting, Hologram tries the crossface again, but Komander elbows free! Komander crawls to ropes while Hologram stands.
Hologram rallies the fans, then storms up on Komander. Hologram whips, Komander rolls off Hologram’s back, and has an Inverted Gory Especial! But Hologram powers through to have that for himself! Dynamite returns to single picture as Hologram bends Komander back! But Komander powers up to sit up, only for Hologram to set him down and SOBAT! Hologram whips, but Komander KICKS and whips back! Hologram reverses, drops, but Komander handsprings over! Komander dodges a lariat, comes back again, but Hologram pops him up top! Komander balances up top, hops down to the apron, and springboards to Arabian Press right back up!
The fans fire up as Komander knuckle locks, jumps up and around to FLYING DRAGON RANA!! The fans are thunderous as Hologram bails out! Komander shows he can bust stuff out just like Hologram, and now he builds speed! ESCALARA CONJILO! The fans are thunderous again, and Komander puts Hologram in. Komander pushes Hologram from ropes, then goes up a corner. Hologram goes right up after him! INVERTED SPANISH FLY! Both men are down and the fans fire up again! A standing count begins, “This is Awesome!” as both men stir at 3 of 10. Hologram rises, goes to a corner, and he has Komander in the drop zone.

Winner: Hologram, by pinfall
La Desnucadora de Hologram, aka The Portal Bomb, takes care of Komander, but what a battle it was from start to finish! This 14th win in a row was his strongest, will nothing stop Hologram from shining with gold? Wait, Jake the Snake is here? And then LA FACCION INGOBERNABLE ATTACKS!! The surprise is that Jake got Rush, and with Rush comes Dralistico AND The Beast Mortos! They all beat down Hologram and Komander, and the fans boo them ruining the moment! LFI fist bump, will these wild bulls stampede all over AEW now that The Snake is leading the way?
Backstage interview with Mark Briscoe.
Lexy Nair is with The Sussex County Chicken, and brings up how last week, Chris Jericho said some absolutely disgusting things to Mark. Lexy trails off a bit as Mark scowls. Mark tells Jericho in a very serious tone, “Man, you done messed up. You ain’t have to take it there. This isn’t a place you want me to be at, man. At WrestleDream, it ain’t even about this, man.” Mark sets down his ROH World Championship. Mark tells Jericho, “I’m gonna hurt you.” Did The Learning Tree make the biggest mistake of his life lighting a fire inside Mark Briscoe?
Daniel Garcia heads to the ring!
Spokane cheers on Red Death while he high-fives fans in the front row as he goes. Garcia steps into the ring, grabs a mic, and asks the fans, “How you guys doin’ tonight?” The fans cheer, they’re feeling good. Garcia says it feels so good to be out here to see the fans, to hear them, to feel that energy. The fans cheer that, too! Garcia says he’s been sitting at home for a while, and he won’t lie, he’s really missed this, so thank you so much for this. The fans chant, “Welcome Back! Welcome Back!” Garcia wants to thank the fans, thank Tony Khan for this time when he didn’t have to, so he thanks TK for letting Garcia do what he has to do.
Garcia says when you’re sitting at home, contemplating, with so much time to think, wondering, “What is best for my life? What is best for me?” Those answers aren’t always the easy answers, or the most popular ones. A fan says, “I love you!” and Garcia says he loves them, too, for real. Garcia says the thing is, he never wanted to be a guy who doesn’t follow through on his word. He never wanted to be a guy who just disappears with no explanation. Garcia takes a moment, the fans cheer him on, and Garcia says it felt really important to him that he came out here, look all the fans in the eyes, and everyone at home in the eye, and let us know what he’s gonna do.
Garcia takes another moment to gather his thoughts. Garcia says he came to the conclusion that Daniel Garcia can do whatever he wants, because Daniels Garcia is one of the best pro-wrestlers in the world! The fans cheer that! Garcia says the thing is, he feels like because he IS one of the best, then it is only right that he stays where the best WRESTLE, and that is A E W!! The fans cheer even more now! Garcia says the Garcia that is staying is not the same Garcia we know. This Garcia is not the person that gets little brother’d by everyone else in the back! This is not the Garcia that CRIED when he loses!
This Garcia is the Daniel Garcia that AEW can build their future on the back of! This Garcia is the Daniel Garcia that represents everyone int he back! And this is the Daniel Garcia that starts changing everything in AEW, starting with gold at his waist! So to everyone in the back, everyone who is a champion, and that’s a lot of people… “You’re not safe, and I’m coming for what you’ve got. The feeling is restored!” The fans are all fired up with Garcia, and he joins the people in celebrating! Who among the championship selection will Red Death come for first?
Swerve Strickland gets back at it.
It was just as Prince Nana said: Mentally, nothing can stop the most dangerous man in AEW. But it is also as Montel Vontavious Porter said: Swerve lost the AEW World Championship, only to then lose his childhood home as it was burned to the ground. Swerve gets in the gym with EJ Nduka, one of the top prospects in ROH. MVP’s words are ringing in Swerve’s ears, and The Judge says he’s got this. Swerve is heading to Tacoma for WrestleDream, will he be ready to talk business with MVP?
Speaking of, we see MVPÂ and Shelton Benjamin finish watching this video like the rest of us, and they are very intrigued. Will MVP & The Gold Standard make Swerve an offer he can’t refuse?
Backstage interview with Mercedes Mone & Kamille.
Renee does her best Mercedes Mone introduction for The CEO, and it doesn’t really impress Mone nor Kamille. Mone says Renee should stick to asking questions. Renee says okay. Then tonight is Mone’s first-ever DOUBLE title defense, against Emi Sakura, and it would seem the Queen of Joshi had some…Â strong words for Mone. Oh, who doesn’t for Mone? Everyone wants to tweet at Mone, everyone wants to jump on the Money Train. Just ask Kris Statlander. Mone & Kamille laugh, and then Mone brings us back to Emi. Emi thinks Mone doesn’t respect her? Mone has all the respect in the world for her!
After all, Emi’s been wrestling longer than Mone’s been alive! Another laugh, and Mone says this is not the first time she’s “dethroned a queen,” and it won’t be the last time. Because money changes everything. Mone pushes past Renee, Kamille makes sure the dress train doesn’t drag on the floor, and they head out. But will Emi make sure everyone in Spokane is singing “We Will Rock You” tonight?
Garcia high-fives with the boys in the back.
Private Party, Anna Jay, even The Conglomeration is there to welcome the AEW faithful. Even Katsuyori Shibata! The Wrestler uses text-to-voice to say, “I’m happy you’re staying in AEW. At WrestleDream, the TNT Title will be around the waist of The Wrestler.” These two shake hands, perhaps making a done deal that Garcia gets next. Will The Scapegoat have something to say about it, though?
AEW Women’s World Championship #1 Contender’s Fatal 4 Way: Willow Nightingale VS Nyla Rose VS Jamie Hayter VS Saraya!
Whatever misfortunes befell Britt Baker, it has created quite the opening for even more top names in the AEW Women’s Division! The Babe with the Power goes from 50% to 25% odds, can she still head for WrestleDream? Or will someone else be battling The Glamour for her gold?
Speaking of The Glamour, Mariah May joins commentary. And she does not buy for one second that Britt Baker “fell ill” right before this. Mariah claims Britt fears her, but Mariah might need to worry about who’s in this match now. The bell rings and Saraya says WAIT! She’s trying to Chris Pratt with the raptors here, but they’re all closing in. Saraya bails out and hides behind Harley Cameron. The fans boo, Hayter says she figured Saraya would pull this. The other three circle, Willow dodges Nyla to ROCK Hayter! Willow kicks Nyla, but Nyla scoops Willow! Nyla SLAMS Willow, but Hayter bumps Nyla off buckles!
The fans rally as Hayter stomps a mudhole into Hayter. Hayter then lets off, to run up, but into a BOOT! Nyla storms up and reels Hayter in, to suplex her right to the top rope! Nyla then climbs up, but Willow CLUBS Nyla! Willow gets under Nyla, Hayter CLUBS Nyla into Willow’s- NO! Nyla RANAS free! The fans fire up, the Native Beast busting out something new! But Hayter CROSSBODIES Nyla! Mariah reminds us that she already beat Nyla, and as fun as a “double dip” can be, no thanks. Hayter and Willow stare down and the fans rally up. Mariah says she doesn’t care for Saraya or Willow, so let’s go “Daphne Blake.”
Jab at Hayter’s red hair looking like Daphne from Scooby-Doo aside, Hayter and Willow circle, only for Saraya and Harley to slide in! The Outcasts CLUB Willow & Hayter down, but there’s nothing to be done about it in a Fatal 4 Way! Saraya CLUBS away on Willow, Harley THRASHES and CHOKES Hayter! Saraya kicks Willow out, Harley TOSSES Hayter, and then Saraya whips Willow into railing! Hayter ROCKS Harley, but Saraya SMACKS Willow off the apron! These four brawl it out, and wait, is Nyla climbing a corner?! The fans fire up as she aims at the cluster! “SURPRISE, B*TCHES!” SUPER CROSSBODY wipes out everyone!!
Mariah can’t even as Nyla fires up, and Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Nyla KICKS Saraya aside, then scuffs her for good measure. Nyla CLUBS Hayter, and then puts Saraya in the ring. Nyla storms up but Saraya asks for mercy. Nyla says nope, and BOOTS Saraya! Nyla rains down fists, then scoops and SLAMS! Cover, TWO! Saraya toughs it out, but Nyla drags Saraya up. But Saraya sends Nyla into buckles! Saraya KNEES Nyla, TOSSES her out, then talks some smack. Willow climbs to the apron but Saraya BOOTS her down! Harley stomps away on Nyla because she can, and Saraya tells her to go after Willow. Harley does as told and she THRASHES Willow. But Hayter sends Saraya into railing!
Hayter sends Saraya into railing again, and then says one more time! Hayter SLINGS Saraya into railing, and flexes. Hayter stomps Saraya, but Harley goes after Hayter! Willow goes after Harley, then ROCKS Saraya! And none of them notice Nyla is bringing out chairs, and a TABLE! The brawling continues by the ramp side but Nyla grins as she puts a table in the ring. Willow scoops, Saraya slips free and SHOVES Willow into railing. Harley jumps on Nyla because she saw what Nyla’s been up to! Harley CLUBS away on Nyla, then fixes her top before we have a malfunction. Saraya mule kicks Hayter, then storms after her.
Hayter chases Harley down first and SLINGS her into railing! But Saraya CLOBBERS Hayter! Saraya tells fans to shut up, and she drags Hayter up. Saraya SLINGS Hayter into railing now. Saraya picks up the broom Nyla brought out, and uses the handle to CHOKE Hayter! The ref reprimands but that’s all he can do. Hayter powers out and turns things around, to suplex Saraya onto the broom! Saraya writhes, Hayter leaves her behind, and she meets Willow in the ring. These two circle again, and Dynamite returns to single picture as they start throwing hands! The fans fire up, then Hater clinches. Willow ducks the lariat, kicks low, but Hayter slips free of the gut wrench!
Hayter clinches again, HAYTBREAKER! But Saraya YAKUZA KICKS Hayter! But Nyla LARIATS Saraya! Willow is up, she SPINEBUSTERS Nyla! All four women are down in the ring and the fans are thunderous! Mariah just likes that this is how badly they’re beating each other up. She doesn’t mind a night off so she can finally have her celebration with Mina Shirakawa. All four women drag themselves up in different corners, and the fans fire up! Hayter DECKS Saraya, ROCKS Willow, then BOOTS Nyla! Hayter ELBOWS Willow, whips Nyla to a corner, then stomps a mudhole into Nyla.
Hayter runs corner to corner to UPPERCUT Willow, then runs back to UPPERCUT Nyla! Hayter sends Nyla into Willow, then reels them both in! The fans fire up as Hayter somehow DOUBLE SUPLEXES Willow and Nyla!! The fans are thunderous, but here comes Saraya with a chair! Hayter stops the attack, and she takes the chair from Saraya! Hayter swings, Saraya manages to block with her arms, but the force knocks her down! Hayter SMACKS Saraya on the back, and SMACKS her again! Saraya bails out, Hayter pursues, now the metaphorical tables have turned from that “Saraya’s Rules” match!
Hayter chases Saraya, but here comes Harley! Harley CLUBS Hayter, but Hayter THROWS her into barriers! Hayter stalks Saraya, but is that PENELOPE FORD!? Mrs. Superbad is back, and she SMACKS Hayter!! Hayter is pissed, but Penelope leads her on a chase up the ramp! Mariah mockingly says, “Go get her, Daphne! One down, three to go.” Willow and Nyla fire forearms, but Nyla scoops to WORLD’S STRONGEST SLAM! Nyla fires up, she brings Willow up, and CLUBS her down. Saraya runs up to fire forearms! Nyla dodges Saraya, wrenches and STRAITJACKET NECKBREAKER!
Mariah asks when is Nyla gonna use that table, and then things start moving that way! Mariah joins in on the “We Want Tables!” chant. Nyla goes up the corner instead, so Mariah asks why bother. But then Harley SHOVES Nyla off the top!! Nyla hits apron on the way down! The ref checks on Nyla, and Harley takes the table for her own! The Outcasts get the table in the ring, and Mariah says yes, hurt everyone as much as possible. The Outcasts can’t get the table to cooperate, and Willow CLUBS Saraya! Willow drags Saraya in but Saraya fires body shots. Saraya fires forearms, then reels Willow in. GOOD KNIGHT DDT! Cover, TWO!!
Willow survives and Saraya seethes. But Harley finally figures out how to slide a table in. The Outcasts wedge the table into a corner, but Willow is up! She DOUBLE LARIATS, then she brings Harley around to send into Saraya! The fans fire up as Willow reels Harley in, gut wrench, BABE WITH THE POWER BOBM! But then Saraya ROCKS Willow! Roll-up, TWO! Saraya tries again, but Willow fireman’s carries! DEATH VALLEY DRIVERÂ through the table!!! The fans are thunderous, Willow stacks Harley and Saraya to cover, Willow wins!!
Winner: Willow Nightingale, by pinfall (NEW #1 Contender to the AEW Women’s World Championship)
Mariah is very upset, this was her least favorite option. It will be a rematch from the 2024 Owen Hart Cup, and for the top prize in AEW! But while Willow is celebrating up the ramp, Mariah leaves commentary to meet her on stage. Mariah holds up the belt, but Willow sees the slap coming and blocks it! Willow says not so fast, but then Mariah HEADBUTTS her!! Willow flops right over, and Mariah says if you like that, here’s this! Mariah LASHES Willow with the belt! The fans boo, but Mariah holds up the title. Will The Glamour prove there is no one that can stop her reign of terror? Or will the Babe with the Power rise up to be the hero of this story?
The Learning Tree and his Branches are backstage.
Bad Apple Bryan Keith tells the cameraman to follow him, and he leads the way to The Redwood and Chris Jericho. Big Bill says, “The Learning Tree always says, ‘The people that need the lessons the most want them the least.'” And Jericho says let’s go talk to one of those people right now. C’mon, guys. These three head down the hallway, and they find Rocky Romero. Azucar says hey, wanna throw fists? Jericho says no, no, relax. This is no time for fighting. This is a time for learning. Keith says class is in session! Yeah, and the lesson is this. They’re just trying to help Rocky learn his own self-worth, his own self-esteem.
Right now, Rocky does not realize his own value. But Rocky is an international superstar! He’s been wrestling for decades! And yet, Rocky’s “friends” invite him to join The Conglomeration months after it starts? And they just give him a shirt? Keith points out Rocky ain’t even on the shirt! And then what? Rocky is to “neutralize” Mark Sterling? That’s as low as it gets in the food chain here. And last week on Rampage, when Rocky tries to be a hero and thwarts Jericho, well, Jericho admits that throw into the steel steps was a good one. But Rocky still ended up on his back while his “friends,” Cassidy & Kyle were celebrating in the ring.
Rocky, is this really what you want for your career? To be a lackey? Rocky says he’s no man’s lackey! Okay, okay, calm down. They’re just trying to teach Rocky a lesson. Bill says sometimes, when you’re in the picture, you can’t see the “big picture.” Jericho says that’s the truth. Thanks, Rocky. Jericho & Bill head out, but Keith says Jericho is the future ROH World Champion, you better respect him. Rocky says, “Or what?” Keith says, “Or else!” Keith now leaves, but will Rocky let these words get in his head?
Jay White w/ Juice Robinson VS Cody Chhun!
The Switchblade made his return last week, saving his Bang Bang Gang teammate from Hangman Page. But will White shake off any ring rust he has here tonight? Or can #ClassicCody catch White off guard?
The bell rings and the two circle. The fans rally for White, he and Cody tie up. White headlocks, Cody powers up and out, but White runs him over! The fans fire up, and White CHOPS Cody to a corner. The fans cheer, Juice mockingly asks how Cody feels, and then White CHOPS him again! White stomps Cody in a corner, RAMS into him again and again, then lets off as the ref counts. White offers a high-five, but Aubrey says no thanks. White reels Cody in to scoop, but Cody slips free to atomic drop! And DROPKICK! Cody CHOPS White in the corner, CHOPS again, and then whips corner to corner. White reverses, Cody goes up and over!
Cody reels White in to DDT! Cover, ONE!! White is still tougher than that and Juice coaches him up. Cody storms up to CHOP, CHOP and whip. White slides to a stop, comes back and LARIATS! The fans fire up and White has a sinister look in his eyes. White stalks Cody, winds up, and CHOPS! And JABS, JABS, and CHOPS! JAB, JAB, CHOP! The ref counts, White whips corner to corner, then runs up to UPPERCUT! White reels Cody in, CORNER HALF HATCH! Cody flounders but White drags him back up. White clinches for an URENAGE! White says that’s not all, here’s a BLADERUNNER! Cover, White wins!
Winner: Jay White, by pinfall
Ring rust? Well, maybe a little. But the Switchblade still cuts like a knife, and he grabs himself a mic. “Guns up for my Spokane Gold Members~!” The fans cheer, and White tells Hangman, “I told you, you’re one of two men that knocked me off on my path to the AEW World Championship. That means you are one of two wrongs that I have to correct. And Hangman, you are lucky number one! Last week, I made that very, very clear to you, Hangman. So now I ask you, what’re you gonna do about it?!
“I’d imagine, Hangman, he won’t be quiet about it. I’d imagine he’s gonna be coming around that bend, guns blazing, steaming from the ears, veins popping out of his head! Because I meddled in his business. And now The Hangman is coming for ME!” The fans cheer, and White says that is perfect. Because that is what White wants! White wants Hangman VS Switchblade once more! And when White beats Hangman and puts an end to the “new” Hangman, White corrects wrong number two, and then moves on to the gold! The fans cheer but White says hold on, he’s not done.
It’s funny how the same voices that have booed and despised him for years are now the same voices that are willing into existence Switchblade Jay White as AEW World Champion! And Hangman, it starts with you! And it starts this Saturday at WrestleDream! “Giddy-up, Cowboy!!” The shootout is coming to Tacoma, but who will be number one with a bullet?
Hook is backstage.
The Cold-Hearted Handsome Devil has a cameraman, and he says, “You know why I’m here. You know what I’m looking for. I’m done chasing your punk ass! Whoever jumped my father, reveal yourselves! I’ll be right here!” Kip Sabian bumps into Hook and Hook pushes him into a wall! Hook asks if he has something to say! Kip has no idea what Hook’s going on about! Kip has nothing to do with Taz, so Hook lets him go. Hook says he’ll be here all night. He’s looking! But then in steps The Patriarchy. Christian Cage has Mother Wayne and Nick by his side, and Christian asks if Hook’s seen Kip Sabian around.
Hook says nope. And he asks Captain Charisma if he has something to say to Hook. Christian does, actually. They’re both family men, aren’t they? They’ve both been through a rough time lately. The Patriarchy lost Killswitch/Luchasaurus to a serious medical condition, so Christian can sympathize with Hook on the “loss” of his father. The Patriarchy moves on, but Hook’s search continues. Will Hook find the culprit, or culprits, behind the attack on Taz?
Backstage interview with Mariah May.
Renee is with The Glamour, saying it is now official for WrestleDream. The AEW Women’s World Championship will be on the line, Mariah May VS Willow Nightingale, WHO POUNCES MARIAH OUTTA FRAME!! And on Saturday, at WrestleDream, I’ll make Mariah May a former champ when I become the NEW AEW Women’s World Champion.” Willow thanks Renee and heads out. Will Mariah never get her championship celebration at this rate?

The CEO continues to build her Money Corporation empire, but she is going double or nothing on this one! Will Mone prove she’s an ace by trumping the Queen of Joshi? Or will Emi take two thrones with one match?
The introductions are made, both belts are raised, and it is time to see if the Face of TBS is still NJPW Strong!
The bell rings and the two circle. They tie up, Mone arm-drags, and then soaks up the cheers and jeers with her CEO dance. Emi shrugs that off as she and Mone circle. The fans cheer as Emi now storms in and drags Mone up. TIGERÂ STALLING BACKBREAKER! But Mone flounders away to ropes! The fans are torn but Emi storms after Mone again. Emi drags Mone in but Mone grabs the apron skirt! The ref stops Mone, and while he fixes the skirt, Mone BOOTS Emi away, into a trip up by Kamille! GHOST PIN! TWO, but into the STATEMENT MAKER!! Emi endures, reaches out, but TAPS! Mone wins!!
Winner: Mercedes Mone, by submission (still AEW TBS & NJPW Strong Women’s Champion)
The insurance policy that is Kamille pays off, but now they wanna make Emi pay! Mone drags Emi up, Kamille winds up, but the ref says don’t! Wait! Here comes Kris Statlander! Mone runs away but Kamille stands to fight with Stat! They brawl and the fans fire up! Kris dodges a boot to then BOOT Kamille! Kamille tumbles out, and Mone says time to retreat! Mone & Kamille let Kris have her moment, but when and where will we see female titans clash?
Backstage interview with Private Party.
Renee Paquette is with Marq Quen & Isiah Kassidy, and says we are just days away from their shot at the AEW World Tag Team Championships. Before getting to that, Stokely Hathaway has asked for time with them, and he steps into frame. Renee asks Stokely what’s on his mind. Stokely says he has been watching Private Party for the past few weeks, and notes that every time they get a chance, they knock it out of the park. That is something the three of them have in common. Because at All Out, Stokely proved he could take down the most lovable person in AEW. If he can do that, imagine what he can do.
As for Quen & Kassidy, they have all the tools, but they’re just missing one thing. That one thing is this: Stokely! So at WrestleDream, Private Party with #BigStoke in their corner, what do they say? Quen says wow, another guy ready to jump on the band wagon. A couple weeks? Where was he the last five YEARS? Where was he when they were struggling? Now that they’re the #1 contenders, Stokely wants in? Thanks, but no thanks. They don’t need him. Stokely says okay, that’s not the right move to make, but it’s their careers, they can do whatever they want. Stokely heads out, will he just have to find another team to manage?
Meanwhile, Zay says yeah, this is the perfect move. Because for the first time in five years, they are doing it themselves. For the first time in five years, they are on their own terms. For the first time in five years, they have an opportunity like this! For the first time in five years, they are on a PPV with an official tag team championship match! They don’t want this, they NEED this! They are desperate for the titles! Young Bucks, you got complacent, so allow them to put that chip back on your shoulders. This Saturday, WrestleDream, Private Party will beat The Bucks, take their spot, and Private Party will be THE AEW World Tag Team Champions.
And then after that, it’ll be a party everyone is invited to! Will Quen & Zay make the most of their SHOTS, SHOTS, SHOTS? Or will The EVPs find a way to stay on top?
Tony Schiavone is in the ring.
Schiavone notes that also at WrestleDream, it will be a Triple Threat for the AEW International Championship. Will Ospreay not only defends against Konosuke Takeshita, but also against Ricochet! With that in mind, let’s welcome the champion, Will Ospreay! Spokane fires up as The Aerial Assassin makes his way out to the ring. Schiavone welcomes Ospreay, and says just last week, Ospreay and Ricochet had an incredible match. A double pinfall draw, both men wanted more time and got more time, but then in comes Konosuke Takeshita. And that was after Don Callis & Kyle Fletcher left the arena, but surely what happened had Callis’ fingerprints all over it.
Ospreay says honestly, he’d love to say that’s a lie, but Schiavone might be on to something. Last week was meant to be Ospreay VS Ricochet, and it was meant to be Ospreay looking at the past, beating Ricochet, and moving on. The only thing we can say for sure at the end was that Ospreay and Ricochet are equal. That is because of one man, and one man only, in Takeshita. The fans boo The Alpha, but Ospreay says he has been part of the Family, he knows how they operate, so he knows damn well that Takeshita doesn’t do anything without Callis giving the go-ahead. So Ospreay is here for answers, and he wants them right now!
Ospreay tells Callis, “Let’s have a chat.” Everyone watches the stage, and with a literal low note, here comes Don Callis. The fans boo as Callis makes his way down to the ring, but Ospreay refuses the hug. Callis says he has something very important to say to Ospreay. The fans boo more, but Callis says last week was very difficult for Callis emotionally. He hates to see Ospreay unhappy. And it got Callis thinking. Remember when they beat Kenny Omega at Forbidden Door? Or beating Chris Jericho at All In? Great times, right? Ospreay tells Callis to stop talking about last year, we’re here for last week, and it is a simple question.
Did Callis send Takeshita out to attack Ospreay? The fans boo but Callis says he thinks maybe Ospreay is asking the wrong question. Ospreay says Callis is “waffling on,” it is a simple yes or no! DID CALLIS SEND TAKESHITA?! Callis says Ospreay doesn’t need to know that! What Ospreay should be asking is- Ospreay says just tell the damn truth!! Callis says he’s trying to tell him! Callis stammers as Ospreay gets in his, demanding to know if that was Callis’s idea! Callis shouts YES!!! HE SENT TAKESHITA!! The fans boo even harder now, but Callis says he sent Takeshita out there, out of frustration.
Ospreay just wouldn’t listen. Callis tried to give him good advice, Ospreay refused it, so Callis had to show Ospreay who makes decisions in The Family! He sent Takeshita to show Ospreay. Ospreay doesn’t wanna talk about the past? Forget last week, how about two weeks ago? The tag title match, they were this close to winning! And Ospreay dropped the ball, because he is weak! Too mentally weak to do what needed to be done! Ospreay tells Callis that he’s having a laugh. The tag team champions? Ospreay has the International Championship! And if Callis hadn’t stuck his nose in at Forbidden Door, Ospreay could’ve brought the AEW World Championship, too!
But no, Callis has always gotta stick his nose into other people’s business! So allow Ospreay, the best wrestler in the world, to tell Callis that Callis doesn’t know s*it, bruv!! The fans fire up for that one! Callis says, “The Best Wrestler in the World? Y’know what, Will? I HAD the Best Wrestler in the World, and I threw him in the garbage for you! So maybe, Will, like I did before, maybe I need to throw the Best Wrestler in the World in the garbage one more time.” The fans boo, and Ospreay says he cannot believe he ever had respect for Callis. Callis is just who everyone warned Ospreay about. Callis is utter scum.
Ospreay says he and Callis are DONE! Callis is furious, and he SLAPS Ospreay! Then he instantly regrets it. Ospreay sets the belt aside, and he grabs at Callis by the coat! He TOSSES Callis, throws off his own coat, but here comes Takeshita! Ospreay and Takeshita brawl, and Ospreay has the edge! But Kyle Fletcher gets in, pulls Ospreay back, and Ospreay almost punches Kyle! Kyle asks what Ospreay is doing and Ospreay explains it’s all Callis! But then Takeshita GERMAN SUPLEXES Ospreay, with a HIGH release! Kyle now regrets even distracting Ospreay, but Callis says this is what Ospreay gets for turning on The Family.
Callis brings out a screwdriver!? Kyle says hell no, he’s not doing that to a friend! Takeshita holds Ospreay up, and Callis puts the screwdriver in Kyle’s hand. Callis says do it! But Kyle says no! Callis is mad with Kyle now, but Kyle threatens Callis with the screwdriver! Takeshita steps in, telling Kyle he doesn’t want to do this. Kyle says yeah, and he bails completely. And Ospreay fires fists on Takeshita again! So Callis CLAWS Ospreay’s face! ALPHA ELBOW from Takeshita!! Callis hands the belt to Takeshita, but here comes Ricochet! The One & Only hurries in, to SPRINGBOARD FLYING LARIAT!
Takeshita flounders, but he avoids Ricochet’s curb stomp! Ricochet dares Takeshita to bring it, but then he makes sure to give the belt back to Ospreay. The Triple Threat is coming, who leaves WrestleDream holding the gold?
Top Flight speaks.
Darius Martin says people keep asking how they feel after losing the #1 Contenders Triple Threat on Collision. Well, they’re pissed off! They know that they’re better than those other two teams and that they should be the ones wrestling The Bucks on Saturday. Dante says agreed. In fact, Top Flight has beaten The Bucks, so there’s no reason they shouldn’t already have a tag title match! Action Andretti says, “No reason? No no, there IS a reason you guys ain’t wrestling The Bucks this Saturday at WrestleDream! You guys, y’all ain’t fired up! You’re sitting here, complaining about-”
Leila Grey shouts Action down! Because right now, he is the problem! He is the reason that messed it all up! What? No, he did what was best for them! What he did last week SCREWED them!! Action says they just don’t get it, then he storms off. Dante says Action is all go and no think, and that is going to cost them if they don’t fix it. Dante & Leila go the other direction, and Darius is caught in the middle. What is it that has to change if Top Flight Airlines wants to reach a championship destination?
Jack Perry speaks.
“AEW: Where the Best Wrestle. Now there’s a lot you can say about Shibata. He’s a legend. He’s the embodiment of Fighting Spirit. He’s got a damn turkey leg in his trunks. But are you still one of the best? These days, you let your phone do all the talking for you, but I wanna have a conversation in the language that you really speak: violence. I wanna meat the Shibata who almost killed himself in the center of the ring because he was willing to fight that hard, because he was willing to sacrifice that much. There’s no question, you deserve to be the TNT Champion. But I’ve come to find about what you deserve, it’s about what you are willing to take.
“This says that I am one of the best. Come and take it from me.” The Scapegoat has called out The Wrestler to bring out THE Wrestler, but will he regret asking for that much?
Bryan Danielson & Wheeler Yuta VS Claudio Castagnoli & PAC!
While The Final Countdown is playing, The American Dragon has promised this will NOT be his final Dynamite. Will he and The Decoder stand strong in Spokane? Or will The Swiss Superman & The Bastard make sure Moxley has an easier time slaying The Dragon at WrestleDream?
The teams sort out and Bryan starts against Pac. The bell rings, the fans rally for Bryan, and the “YES! YES! YES!” starts up. Pac and Bryan circle, but then Bryan DROPKICKS Claudio! Pac kicks Bryan, CLUBS him to a corner, then stomps away. The ref counts, Pac stops, and fans rally for Bryan. Pac whips corner to corner, Bryan goes up and over, ducks ‘n’ dodges, then DIVES onto Claudio! Yuta MISSILE DROPKICKS Pac! The fans fire up, and Bryan coordinates with Yuta. Yuta DIVES onto Pac while Bryan FLYING KNEE ATTACKS Claudio! Spokane fires up for Bryan & Yuta as they high-five!
Bryan puts Pac in, grabs a leg, and he drags him around. Bryan hooks up Pac’s legs, and he pulls on the arms! And pulls, pulls, and ROMERO SPECIAL! Bryan lets Pac down enough to tag in Yuta, and Yuta runs to SHOTGUN Pac! Cover, TWO! Yuta stays on Pac with a wristlock, and he wrenches the arm to tag in Bryan. Bryan & Yuta mug Pac, and Bryan UPPERCUTS! Pac goes to a corner, kicks in return, and then CLAWS Bryan’s face! Pac bumps Bryan off buckles, the ref reprimands, but Pac tags Claudio. Claudio fires body shots on Bryan, and UPPERCUT after UPPERCUT! The fans boo, the ref reprimands, and Claudio stops.
Claudio drags Bryan up, UPPERCUTS again, then tags in Pac. The mugging is returned to Bryan, and Pac bumps Bryan off buckles. Pac stomps Bryan, digs his boot in, but the ref counts. Pac steps away, brings him around, and bumps him off buckles. Tag to Claudio and he stomps Bryan now. The fans boo more but Claudio stands Bryan up. Bryan UPPERCUTS first! And again! Claudio UPPERCUTS in return! Claudio stomps away on Bryan again, then digs his boot in. The ref backs Claudio up, but Claudio runs up to stomp Bryan! Tag to Pac, and he kicks at Bryan from the outside. The ref reprimands so Pac steps inside.
Pac drags Bryan up, reels him in, back suplex! Bryan lands out, hot tag to Yuta! Yuta CLOBBERS Pac, hits an atomic drop, then an ENZIGIRI! Pac goes to a corner, Yuta runs up to CHOP, ROCK, and repeat! The fans fire up, the ref counts, but Yuta roars as he lets off. Pac staggers, into a GERMAN SUPLEX! Bridging cover, TWO!! Pac survives but Yuta holds on, and he shifts around. Yuta hooks the arms for CATTLE MUTILATION! The fans fire up, but Claudio steps in. Claudio just deadlifts Yuta off Pac! The fans boo as Yuta and Claudio stare down. Yuta SLAPS Claudio! Claudio keeps cool, but Bryan runs up to DROPKICK!
Claudio tumbles out, Bryan builds speed, and Bryan DIVES! But Claudio catches Bryan! SNAKE EYES off the railing, and then NEUTRALIZERÂ on the floor! Yuta is stunned, and Pac SUPERKICKS him! Yuta falls, The Bastard’s in control, and Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Pac huffs ‘n’ puffs while he looms over Yuta. Pac drags Yuta up, bumps him off buckles, and he tags Claudio. Claudio steps in, and Yuta SLAPS him again! Claudio snapmares Yuta to then smother him into the mat! The ref reprimands, but Claudio digs his forearms into the back of Yuta’s head. Yuta fights up, but Claudio GUT WRENCH PLEXES! Yuta flounders, Claudio storms up on him, and Yuta CHOPS! Claudio is more disappointed than anything. Yuta CHOPS again, but Claudio pushes him to the corner. Tag to Pac and he CHOPS Yuta. Pac brings Yuta around, Bryan is still on the ground, and Pac snap suplexes Yuta!
Pac watches as Yuta goes to a corner. Pac runs up to UPPERCUT! Cover, ONE!! Yuta shakes his head, but Pac eggs him on then. Yuta stands to CHOP! Pac SOBATS in return! Pac bumps Yuta off buckles, BOOTS him, then tags Claudio. Claudio has Pac back off, but then Yuta RAMS into Claudio. Claudio smothers Yuta and goes for a top wristlock. Yuta fights around, uses a leg guard, but Claudio keeps pushing. They stand, and Yuta JAWBREAKERS free! Yuta runs, into a BACKDROP! Yuta goes flying! Claudio drags him all the way to the corner, and he tags Pac. Pac digs his boot into Yuta, but then tags Claudio back in as the ref counts.
Pac steps off, Claudio eggs Yuta on, and Dynamite returns to single picture. Claudio uses another chinbar to smother Yuta, and he shifts into a SLEEPER! Yuta endures, even as Claudio leans on him. The fans rally as Yuta fights up, and Bryan has managed to crawl to the ramp, but that’s still quite a distance from the corner. Yuta CHOPS, ROCKS, but Claudio shoves him! BACKDROP, sunset flip! Claudio stays up, but Yuta slips away before Claudio can grab him. But there’s no Bryan to tag! Claudio storms up to GERMAN SUPLEX Yuta away! Yuta flounders, Claudio tags Pac.
Pac goes corner to corner, only to go out and beat up on Bryan! The fans boo, and Pac goes back to the apron. Pac springboards in, but Yuta SUPERKICKS! Both men are down and the fans fire up! Claudio is frustrated, but a standing count climbs. Yuta and Pac crawl, the count is 5 of 10! But there’s still no Bryan! Claudio tags in and takes his time walking over. Claudio mockingly asks where Bryan went, then whips Yuta to a corner. Yuta BOOTS back! Yuta fights off Claudio & Pac and the fans fire up again! Claudio puts Yuta up top with a choke grip! But Yuta BITES Claudio’s fingers! And then TORNADO DDT!!
Both men flounder around, and the fans fire up again! Bryan is back on the corner! Yuta crawls, staggers, Bryan tags himself in! Yuta didn’t even realize Bryan was up! Bryan MISSILE DROPKICKS Claudio! And then DROPKICKS him in a corner! Bryan keeps moving, another DROPKICK! And then another DROPKICK! Bryan CHOPS, KICKS, repeat! “WOO~! YES! WOO~! YES!” The fans fire up, Bryan puts Claudio on the top rope, and then climbs up, to SUPER- NO! Claudio stops the steiner, and he drags Bryan up again to SUPER- RANA!! Bryan turns the counter back around on Claudio, and Spokane is thunderous!
Bryan aims, “YES! YES! YES!” KICK! KICK! KICK! Bryan winds up, BUZZSAW! Claudio flops over and the fans cheer again. Bryan points to Claudio, and he says time to kick his EFFIN’ head in!! Claudio resists but the DRAGON STOMPS still rain down! Pac CLOBBERS Bryan from behind! Pac reels Bryan in, but Bryan WRINGS Pac’s arm out! The fans fire up, because now it’s Pac’s turn! Bryan DRAGON STOMPS away on The Bastard! Claudio storms up, and he UPPERCUTS Bryan in the back of the neck! Claudio reels Bryan in, but Bryan BACKDROPS free! Claudio lands on his feet! UPPERCUT but into a backslide! TWO!! BUZZSAW!!
The fans fire up and Bryan goes to the corner. “YES! YES! YES!” Claudio slowly rises, but then Bryan spots something. Jon Moxley walks out from the crowd! Marina Shafir is by his side, and Bryan runs up! Claudio POP-UP UPPERCUTS!! Cover, TWO!!! Bryan survives, but Claudio tags Pac. Bryan is in the drop zone, and Pac 450 SPLASHES!! Cover, TWO!!! Bryan survives again, and Pac argues with the ref about it! The count was fair, but now Marina distracts the ref. This lets the BCC grab the bell hammer!! Pac brings that in, Claudio keeps the ref further distracted, but Yuta snatches the hammer!
The fans cheer as Yuta does the right thing. Bryan then waits on Pac to turn around, takedown! Omoplata, LEBELL LOCK!!! Pac TAPS, Bryan & Yuta win!!
Winners: Bryan Danielson & Wheeler Yuta, by submission
Moxley is frustrated, but then Bryan WRECKS him with a dropkick! Bryan fires hands on Moxley and chases him up the ramp! They even fight backstage, going past gorilla position! Are they going to brawl all the way to Tacoma? As for the AEW World Trios Champions, they’re all arguing in the ring, until Pac BOOTS Yuta down! The fans boo, but now Marina drags Yuta up for muay thai knees! We see more brawling from Bryan and Moxley, and Bryan has the edge as he SMACKS Moxley off road cases! Moxley staggers around, and Bryan sends him into the garage door!
As for Yuta, he gets mugged by Pac & Marina! Claudio doesn’t want this to continue, he is still Yuta’s mentor. Wait, he has the hammer in his hand? He has Marina & Pac stand Yuta up, and Claudio tells Yuta he chose wrong. BELL HAMMER TO THE GUT!! The fans boo as they just stand Yuta up again, for another shot to the gut!! Then they stand Yuta up again, for a THIRD SHOT!! Yuta sputters, but wait, the brawl circles back around! Bryan knocks Moxley down the ramp! Bryan shoves Moxley into the ring, Marina checks on him, and that lets Bryan TOSS Pac! And he dodges Claudio to BUSAIKU KNEE!!
The fans fire up as Bryan stands tall in the ring! “YES! YES! YES!” The American Dragon tells Moxley this is what’s coming for him this Saturday. Will Bryan make WrestleDream into Moxley’s Final Countdown?
My Thoughts:
A great Dynamite here as the go-home to WrestleDream, and the only real go-home to it because there is no Collision, and they didn’t even announce what Rampage has because it probably doesn’t matter. Though because of all that, this was perhaps the most talkative Dynamite in a long time, if not of all time. Now granted, opening with a string of promos makes sense when you consider this Dynamite has the one hour overlap with NXT (unless like me, you live in a sad market like El Paso, then it’s a full overlap). As such, they did the best they could to fill the opening half hour or so with talk. It was well done, but it’s hard to say Moxley or Bryan added anything to their feud.
What did matter was how Don Callis made a deal with Jake the Snake, and how Daniel Garcia is STILL All Elite. Great stuff for Garcia, I really hope he does get a championship past WrestleDream. Shibata promised as much, and then Jack Perry had a very good promo in response, but it feels more like Perry cheats Shibata, and it is Perry VS Garcia at the next event. AEW Full Gear is in Newark, New Jersey, so it’s close enough for Garcia, a Buffalo New Yorker, to have that homefield advantage. Garcia having his moment about as close to home as AEW can manage would be so great, it has to be what’s happening.
As for that deal of Callis and The Snake, something about it really works out. La Faccion Ingobernable no longer has Jose the Assistant, but now they have a legend in Jake Roberts helping them, that’ll be good stuff. And assuming Will Hobbs is also Don Callis Family when he returns, he and Lance Archer are two monsters that can quite truly destroy a lot of people and take whatever belts they want. Hologram VS Komander was insanely good, like a PPV level match but here on TV. And then with LFI attacking them both, all they’d need is a third luchador and we’d have an incredible feud right there.
Ospreay and Callis had a great promo segment together, especially with bringing in Konosuke and Kyle and all of that. As it stands, Konosuke was standing tall until Ricochet showed up, and then Ricochet touches the belt. All that signals Ospreay finds a way to retain because it is a Triple Threat. But I really like that Kyle resisted the screwdriver, I really hope he breaks away completely and truly goes United Empire with Ospreay here in AEW. Very good promo from Darby with Brody King, though Darby’s promo on Collision seems obsolete now. I think I even said as much on Collision, because we were of course getting this kind of promo tonight. Great detail of Brody turning things around, too, saying Darby is in denial about how selfish he’s being. Again, their match could steal the show.
While it is a shame Britt Baker couldn’t make the trip out, it works out better for Willow because I felt like Britt was gonna win the 1v1. The Fatal 4 Way alternative was awesome, I’m a little surprised it was Penelope Ford getting after Hayter, and then Willow gets a great win. However, while Mariah beat Willow up on stage, Willow got even with her backstage, the match is kind of muddied. I feel like Mariah finds a way, though, because there needs to be more story of her and Mina Shirakawa as we head for the end of the year. Mariah VS Mina should be just as passionate and gritty as Mariah VS Toni in terms of the build and the anticipation and the finale.
Mina doesn’t even have to win the title, but she can have the moral victory should Mariah sink to new lows and cheat even her oldest and dearest friend. Then Mariah and Hayter can meet up after Hayter deals with Penelope. Meanwhile, Mone VS Emi was another awesome match, Emi really got to unleash her full arsenal here. But naturally, Mone won because Kris Statlander is coming after her! Kris VS Kamille has to be happening soon, maybe even at WrestleDream so that Kris VS Mone can be Full Gear.
Good promo from Stokely with Private Party, but you can bet Stokely will recruit a tag team that deserves a good spotlight. That team can cost Private Party, then we feud into Full Gear and such, even though that’s really a shame for Private Party because they should get a turn with the titles. Very good video package from Swerve, and it makes a lot of sense for Swerve to meet with MVP during WrestleDream, that could even be the moment where Bobby Lashley shows he is All Elite. Good return match for Jay White and very good promo to set up White VS Hangman. That’ll be a great match, and it could probably go either way with how dastardly Hangman has been.
Good promo from Hook interacting with Kip Sabian and The Patriarchy. While Taz’s attacker probably isn’t any of those guys, this does help tease a feud of Hook with Patriarchy over the father figure stuff. Kip might even end up an unlikely ally so Hook can fight Christian & Nick at the same time. And then a great tag match main event for this BCC Civil War stuff, helping bookend the night with that story. Great win for Bryan & Yuta, and then great brawling and beatdown to follow. Now, the thing is, with Bryan standing tall over everyone, there’s a very good chance something in Yuta mentally snaps and he turns on Bryan, allowing Moxley to win. It’d be wild WrestleDream is Bryan’s last match, and it’d be bittersweet with it being in Washington.
My Score: 8.9/10

Darby Allin VS Johnny TV!
The Relentless One put out an Open Challenge for WrestleDream, because he is that determined to prove he can be the best in AEW. As for tonight, he’s got a Collision with a man who’s been all over the world and held quite a bit of gold. Will Johnny prove Darby is NOT #TVReady? Or will Darby be rolling on the road home to Washington?
As Johnny makes his entrance, Darby throws his pink hoodie at him. Johnny catches it, and then mocks Darby with how it doesn’t even fit Johnny, it’s too small. Johnny then slings his jacket at Darby but Darby catches it. Darby throws Johnny’s jacket down, and the bell rings. The fans rally behind Darby as he and Johnny circle. They tie up, and Johnny powers Darby back. Darby slips around to waistlock, but Johnny switches, only for Darby to slip away. The fans rally as the two reset and circle again. They feel things out, but then Johnny flexes. The fans boo, and Johnny mocks Darby’s height by holding his hand way up.
Darby and Johnny knuckle lock and go shoulder to shoulder. Johnny then cartwheels to wrench and wristlock. But Darby rolls, kips up, and wrenches back. Johnny rolls, kips up, but Darby pushes him down to a headlock cover! TWO, and Johnny fights up. Johnny lifts Darby, Darby holds on, but Johnny powers out. Darby turns hip toss into headlock takeover! Cover, ONE! Johnny headscissors but Darby kips free. Johnny hits a snap headlock takeover, but Darby headscissors. Darby then floats around and has the headlock back. Johnny rolls to a cover, ONE! Johnny fights up, powers Darby to a corner, and the ref counts the break.
Johnny lets off slowly, but then he pokes Darby in the eye! The fans boo, the ref reprimands, but Johnny blocks a boot to put Darby in ropes. KICK and SLIDING GERMAN! Darby writhes and Johnny talks smack. Johnny stalks Darby, covers, TWO! The fans rally but Johnny stalks Darby to a corner. Johnny fires body shots, ROCKS Darby, and follows him to another corner. Johnny shushes the crowd, but he pokes Darby in the eye again! The ref reprimands but Johnny whips Darby corner to corner hard! Darby bounces off buckles, Johnny drags him around to a drop zone. Johnny goes up the corner, but Darby UPPERCUTS!
The fans fire up and Darby hurries after Johnny. Darby goes up to SUPER DUPER PLEX!! Both men writhe and the fans fire up! Johnny rolls out of the ring, the ring count starts, but Johnny returns at 4 of 10. Darby goes to the apron after Johnny, but Johnny RUSSIAN LEG SWEEPS to the floor! Both men writhe again and the ref checks. Johnny rises up and rolls in, but then rolls out for a fresh count. Johnny stalks Darby to steel steps, and hoists him up. Johnny SHINING WIZARDS Darby off the steps! Johnny soaks up the heat, then sets up, but Darby moves! The low splash FLOPS! Darby refreshes the ring count and the fans fire up!
Darby goes up a corner! SUPER COFFIN DROP!! Darby drags Johnny into the ring, climbs right back up, but Johnny trips him up! Johnny then has Darby in a Tree of Woe, LION’S BARRAGE! Darby falls, Johnny climbs! Fans boo but Darby rolls Johnny! TWO, and Johnny scrambles. Darby hurries after him with forearms! Darby runs, springboards, but Johnny catches him! Darby fights the waistlock, but then Johnny cartwheels to a Canadian Rack! Spin and RAZOR’S SIDE SLAM! Cover, TWO!! Darby survives but Johnny drags him back to the drop zone. Johnny goes up again, STARSHIP PAINÂ FLOPS!
Darby runs up, CODE RED!! Cover, TWO!! Johnny survives but Darby is snarling! Darby climbs, to COFFIN DROP to a standing Johnny!! Cover, Darby wins!
Winner: Darby Allin, by pinfall
Relentless indeed, Darby is heading home for another fight! Darby grabs a mic, has them cut his music, and he says, “On Dynamite, I issued an Open Challenge. WrestleDream, October 12th, anybody in the back, you wanna make your name off of Darby Allin? Step up, and let’s make this official tonight! Anybody in the back, now’s the time! I’m right here! Come out!” Darby wants an answer one week in advance, and who does he get? No one responds and Darby says that’s what he thought. A locker room full of complacent talent. Tell him in five years when they’re in the same position that they could’ve done something about it!
Darby is giving someone a chance at a PPV as big as WrestleDream, but no one’s stepping up. Darby is getting upset, so he heads out. Will someone work up the courage to face him within the next week? Britt Baker speaks.
“Well, well, well, if it wasn’t another victorious homecoming for me, Dr. Britt Baker, DMD. SO now what? Where do I go from here? I’ll tell you exactly where I go. Where I belong: in the AEW Women’s World Championship title picture. I haven’t had a one-on-one shot at that world title since I lost it. Time’s up. Mariah, I saw you watching me, watching my match. Well, I’ve been watching you, Mariah. I like what I see. But unfortunately for you, you have something I want. I’m done sitting at home waiting to be called upon. Contrary to popular opinion, I don’t expect anything to be handed to me.
“Title Tuesday, I’ll be there. I’ll be ready to fight. The road to redemption starts… now. Yours truly, Dr. Britt Baker, DMD.” The Doctor is in, but will she be leaving after she’s “extracted” that gold from The Glamour?
Backstage interview with The Conglomeration.
Lexy Nair is with Kyle O’Reilly, Orange Cassidy, Rocky Romero, Mark Briscoe & Willow Nightingale. Willow asks if it’s cool for her to start off. The fellas say sure, and Willow says okay. Because Britt, they all heard what you had to say. And you’ll have to wait your turn, because Willow wants the title. She’s coming for Mariah May. But tonight, this is Toledo, Ohio! And Willow has a match with Trish Adora like, right now! She knows the boys have The Premier Athletes, but she’s gotta go. Bye! Willow heads out, Mark Briscoe says do your thing, girl! And Mark feels sorry for Trish Adora, because right here in Toledo, Willow’s gonna whoop ass!
And as for OC & Kyle, they have the Premier Athletes tonight, and it’ll be another premier ass whoopin’ right here in Ohio! And as for Chris Jericho, Mark will address you real shortly. But tonight is about The Conglomeration! Kyle & Rocky are fired up, and Cassidy says Mark’s getting better, but just not quite there yet.
Willow Nightingale VS Trish Adora!
As The Babe with the Power said, she is aiming right at Mariah May, but who isn’t when we’re talking THE AEW Women’s World Champion? In fact, Mariah is in the crowd to watch this match like she did Britt in Pittsburgh. Will Willow prove she’s first in line, NOT The Doctor? Or will The AfroPunk completely flip the script?
The bell rings and the two shake hands. They circle, tie up, and are momentarily in a deadlock. Willow powers Adora to ropes, but lets go quickly. Willow whips, Adora reverses, then she blows past Willow to rebound and RAM her. Neither woman falls, so they tie up collar ‘n’ elbow again. The fans fire up and Mariah is now concerned, but Collision goes picture in picture.

Willow scoops and SLAMA Adora, runs, and SENTON FLOPS as Adora moves! Mariah is a bit torn, but Adora and Willow slowly rise. Adora stomps Willow to ropes, brings her up, then wrenches. Adora KICKS away on Willow’s arm, then CLUBS the shoulder. Adora wrenches and CLUBS but Willow fires body shots! Adora CLUBS Willow again, and salutes as she stands over Willow. Willow throws hands, then SMACKS Mariah off the steps! And then THROWS her into railing! Mariah writhes but the fans cheer as Willow brings her up again. Gut wrench and- NO, Mariah slips free of the bomb! And SLAPS Willow again, before running away! Willow says oh no, it won’t end like that. Will Willow be battling Mariah on Title Tuesday? At WrestleDream? Or somewhere else down the road?
Backstage interview with Wheeler Yuta.
Alicia Atout is with The Decoder, and she says he has a lot on his plate. Not only is he wrestling tonight, but he will join forces with Bryan Danielson this Title Tuesday against Claudio Castagnoli & Pac. How has Yuta prepared mentally to be facing former friends? It is definitely different than- Oh, wait, the Blackpool Combat Club steps in from all sides. Yuta asks Pac, Claudio and Marina Shafir if there’s a problem, partner. Pac says he is NOT Yuta’s partner. Claudio has everyone else leave, and Marina makes sure Alicia leaves, too. Claudio talks with Yuta alone. “Let it out.”
Yuta tells Claudio that he trusted and believed in Claudio, and did everything he asked. He did more than that! He bled for Claudio! Yuta has given up years of his career for Claudio! And what has Claudio done? Yuta doesn’t even know who Claudio is anymore! Claudio left Yuta in the dark as he betrayed Bryan, and now acts like everything’s okay?! Like Yuta is still supposed to trust Claudio!? What’s Claudio have to say for himself?! Claudio asks, “Did I ever steer you wrong? I wish you would still trust me. Because you know what? I always have your back. What’d Bryan ever do for you?”
Claudio pushes Yuta’s AEW World Trios Championship belt into his chest, clearly pointing out what he’s done for Yuta. Claudio wants Yuta to know that no matter what happens, Claudio always will have his back. Claudio leaves, and while Yuta is teaming with Bryan on Tuesday, will he still be BCC?
Backstage interview with Mariah May.
Lexy is with a “very exasperated” AEW Women’s World Champion, and says everyone seems to be gunning for The Glamour. Mariah says everyone is drooling for a shot at her! Is this AEW or her DMs? Mariah knows she’s the prettiest woman on the roster, but she says that’s only because everyone else is so damn ugly! And Britt Baker, with one match, thinks she gets a shot at this title? Do us all a favor and go back to your office to floss! As for Willow, Mariah gets it! Mariah finally understands why Willow is so smiley and happy all the time! It’s because Willow knows she is lucky to be here! Willow doesn’t even deserve to LOOK at Mariah’s title!
And then in steps Christopher Daniels, and Mariah asks if he even does anything around here! Daniels says yes, he hears talent bitch, moan and complain! But he sees Mariah starting fights here and there, because she can’t lose anything in those fights. But we’re done with that! Here’s what happens: Title Tuesday in Spokane, Washington, we will see Willow Nightingale VS Britt Baker. Mariah loves that, she’ll definitely watch. Good, because see, the winner of that match faces Mariah at WrestleDream for the title! Mariah stops smiling and Daniels asks, “How’s that for doing something?” She tells Daniels, “Blow it out your ass.”
Mariah storms off, but Daniels smirks. Can’t please everyone, huh? But will it be The Doctor or the Babe with the Power that meets Mariah in Tacoma?
Wheeler Yuta VS BEEF w/ Anthony Henry!
Just as The Decoder started clearing his head of the internal conflict, The Swiss Superman clouds things up by using the gold against him. Will Yuta be able to focus on tonight’s match? Or will the beef within BCC distract him from the Beef right in front of him?

Beef staggers, and we see Jon Moxley watching from the back row of the stands, alongside Marina and Pac. Yuta BITES Beef on the forehead!
The ref reprimands, Yuta stops, and he wrenches Beef into a RIGHT ANGLE SLAM! Yuta seethes while Beef flounders. Henry coaches Beef as Beef crawls to a corner, but Yuta stomps a mudhole in! The ref counts, Yuta stops at 4, but then he grabs Beef by the wrists. Yuta DRAGON STOMPS Beef in the corner! The ref counts again, Henry gets on the apron, but Yuta stops at 4. Beef is OUT, the ref calls it!
Winner: Wheeler Yuta, by submission
Yuta lets go, and that fury is still raging within him. Moxley smirks, is he pleased with how Yuta is progressing? Or will Yuta’s fury only end up the BCC’s enemy?
Backstage interview with Hook.
Lexy is with the Cold-Hearted Handsome Devil, and brings up last Wednesday night, we heard the news of the attack on Taz and how that upset Hook. After a few days to process it, Hook has now asked for this time. Hook will keep this simple: Whoever attacked his father, he is calling them out. Spokane, Title Tuesday, no more hiding! Hook tells them to say something to his face! Hook heads out, will he take off someone’s head in Spokane?
Orange Cassidy & Kyle O’Reilly w/ Rocky Romero VS The Premier Athletes w/ Mark Sterling!
Freshly Squeezed & The Violent Artist have had a busy week already, but they’re also riding high from getting one over on “Big Bill” & Bryan Keith. Will they keep things going as… Of course “Smart” Mark has to do the introductions himself. “The Premier Athletes have given a lot of cities an opportunity as of late to be a part of a winning team, and they’ve all failed! But we think the people of Toledo have just high enough IQ to follow along. So when we say, ‘Athletes!’ you say, ‘Rule!’ Nothing else! Hands in, boys. Ohhh… ATHLETES!” “SUCK!!” Gottee! But will that failed chant be the least of Mark’s worries after tonight?

Lexy is with the menacing minotaur and says that over the past few months, we have seen him build alliances with all sorts of people in AEW. But at Grand Slam, it seemed like he officially joined up with La Faccion Ingobernable. Mortos roars, and in steps Roderick Strong. “BEEEEAST, Mortos. What is going on? You’re supposed to be with us! What’re you doing standing there, fisting with those guys?” Matt Taven thought he and Beast Mortos had something special. That The Kingdom had something special! Mike Bennett wants Mortos to look at him, man to, uh, man-bear-pig? Whatever! Just look at him!
If Mortos thinks he can trust LFI, he’s wrong. He can trust The Undisputed Kingdom. Just look at these faces! Don’t make the wrong choice. The Kingdom leaves, Mortos is conflicted. Who will soon have the muscle that is Mortos on their side?
Kris Statlander VS Zoey Lynn!
The Galaxy’s Greatest is now #BornAgainKristen, but her attitude doesn’t seem that different. Will she make a believer out of The Brickhouse by beating the same young lady Kamille did, but even faster?
The bell rings, Zoey runs up to fire hands first! Zoey won’t get dropped like she did by Kamille, but then Kris DECKS her! Zoey gets up, but Kris grabs her by the neck! Gorilla press and the fans fire up as Kris carries Zoey around! Then Kris TOSSES Zoey down! Kris flexes, the fans are torn, but Kris drags Zoey back up. Gut wrench, tuck, and STATURDAY NIGHT FEVER!! Cover, Kris wins!
Winner: Kris Statlander, by pinfall
We’ll have to check the records to see who beat Zoey Lynn faster, but here comes Mone & Kamille! The CEO does her dance, but it is Kamille who has the mic. Kamille hands it over, though, and Mone smiles as she tells Toledo, to shut up! She has something to say. Mone & Kamille were so “impressed’ by Kris here. But understand that Mone is the Face of the Women’s Division, and the CEO of AEW! That means nobody disrespects her! So Kris will find out next what happens when you mess with Mercedes Mone! Go get her, Kamille! Kamille storms into the ring to stand face to face with Kris again. Kris says okay, chill. But then she fires forearms!
The fans fire up but Kamille BOOTS Kris back! Mone grins, Kamille smirks, but Kris KNEES Kamille! Kamille dragon sleepers, and hits the TWISTING NECKBREAKER! “The Road to Damascus” takes Kris down, and Mone says so much for Galaxy’s Greatest. Will nothing stop Mone & Kamille from conquering AEW? Or is this only lighting a fire within Kris?
Darby Allin speaks.
“Brody King. You accepted my Open Challenge, but all you had to do was ask. But I think I know what you’re trying to do. There is a lot I wanna say to you. I have never pinned you in that ring. ON the independents, in AEW, I have never pinned you in that ring. I put you in a coffin, I thought that was good enough. But no. Tuesday, Dynamite, I wanna see you face to face in that ring. I wanna tell the people a little story here. Everything you have in AEW is because of me. House of Black didn’t get you here, it was me. I was the one that went up to Tony Khan and said, ‘You need to hire Brody King.’
“Yeah. You want everything I have. But you’re gonna have to work really hard to take it from me.” Darby reveals the truth, but will he have to accept that he just can’t beat The King of Death?
BREAKING NEWS for Title Tuesday!
Emi Sakura’s return home to Tokyo Joshi Pro-Wrestling, TJPW, has reinvigorated her, and now she’s coming back to AEW to finally win a crown! Will the Queen of Joshi take BOTH of Mone’s belts in a Double Title Match? Or will The CEO never bow down to anyone?
AEW World Tag Team Championship #1 Contenders Triple Threat: Private Party VS Top Flight VS The House of Black!
Marq Quen & Isiah Kassidy got another shocker over The Young Bucks just last night on Rampage, but they can’t rely on that to get their golden tickets. Can they officially earn their SHOTS, SHOTS, SHOTS at the AEW World Tag Team Championships? Or will another team be living Private Party’s WrestleDream?
In this Triple Threat, only two teams are legal at a time, so Brother Zay starts against Dante Martin. The bell rings as these two circle, but they’re wary of the House as they can tag in at any time. Dante waistlocks, Zay slips under ot drop toehold and float to a facelock. Dante fights up, wrenches out, and he wrangles Zay to a cover, ONE! Zay sweeps and covers, ONE! Dante hits a headlock takeover, Zay headscissors, and Dante kips free. Roles reverse, Dante headscissors but Zay kips free. Zay trips Dante, Dante BOOTS him away, but both men kip up! The fans fire up, and the two back away slowly.
Dante and Zay tag to Darius and Quen, but all four men step up. They talk some smack, then they fire shots! Private Party double whip Top Flight, and Buddy sneaks a tag! Private Party DOUBLE DROPKICKS Top Flight out, the fans fire up, and Private Party builds speed. They DOUBLE DIVE and take Top Flight down at the ramp! Now the House steps in! Buddy & Malakai build speed?! They double slide, and they DECK Private Party! Buddy fires off on Quen, Malakai has Zay, but the ref counts. The House puts Private Party in, but Private Party DOUBLE DROPKICK! Then Quen builds speed, Zay holds the ropes open, and Quen DIVES, into DOUBLE KNEES!
The fans go wild and Zay is stunned! Zay decides screw it, and he FLIES! But The House catches him, to DOUBLE APRON BOMB him! Zay writhes and falls to the floor, but the fans fire up behind The House. The House puts Quen in the ring, but Top Flight goes after them! Buddy THROWS Dante aside while Collision goes picture in picture.
Buddy drags Dante up to whip him into more railing, and then Malakai lines up a shot. Malakai runs up to BOOT Dante down! The House goes to the ring, Buddy drags Quen up and he tags Malakai. They whip, kitchen sink knee and PENALTY KICK! Buddy drops a JUMPING knee, then Malakai covers, TWO! Quen is tough but Malakai whips him to ELBOW him down! The Dark Father paces, pushes Quen down to cover, TWO! Malakai wrenches Quen, double wristlocks, and he tags Buddy. The House mugs Quen, and Buddy UPPERCUTS! And UPPERCUTS! And UPPERCUTS! Buddy UPPERCUTS again, even as the ref counts.
Buddy tags Malakai, The House mugs Quen more, and then Malakai brings Quen around to UPPERCUT! Quen fights back, but Malakai KNEES him down! Tag to Buddy, the mugging continues, and Buddy UPPERCUTS Quen down. Buddy KNEES Quen in the back, KNEES him again, then stares Zay down. Buddy smirks, drags Quen up, and suplexes. Collision returns to single picture as Quen fights the lift! The fans rally, Buddy fires body shots, but Quen cradle counters! TWO! Buddy CLOBBERS Quen! Buddy drags Quen up, but Dante tags in! Dante RAMS Buddy, slingshts up and around, then GAMANGIRISR!
Dante goes up, leaps over Buddy to CROSSBODY Quen! Dante ducks ‘n’ dodges Buddy to then jump and RANA! Dante dodges Malakai, runs up and METEORAS! Dante runs in at Quen to GAMANGIRI in a corner! Dante snapmares Quen, goes up and up to MAMBA SPLASH! Cover, Zay breaks it! The fans rally but Dante TOSSES Zay. Dante hauls Quen up, half nelsons, but Quen slips free of the slam! Dante bucks the O’Conner, BOOTS Quen, but Quen PELES! Both men are down, and they crawl for their corners! The fans rally up for the hot tags! Darius and Zay run in! Zay leaps over, Darius blocks a kick to CHOP!
Zay ENZIGIRIS and reels Darius in, but no Twist of Fate! Darius suplexes, Zay slips free, and Zay shoves to hurdle, but into an atomic drop! Darius runs to BULLDOG- NO, Zay stops the hotshot! Triangle jump STUNNER! The fans fire up as Zay runs, but Darius SLINGSHOT COMPLETE SHOTS! Darius drags Zay up, sends him at Quen, but that gets some SILLY STRING! Malakai tags in off Darius! Malakai grins, Buddy tags in, and The House surrounds Zay. Zay swings hands, but he gets mugged! ATOMIC KNEE SMASH! Darius runs up, into a double hip toss, and DOUBLE BOMB! Then they sit Darius up to DOUBLE BUZZSAW!
Quen runs up, he’s put in a corner, GAMANGIRI and ELBOW SMASH! Malakai TOSSES Quen, but Dante runs up., Leg sweep and facelock! DANTE’S IN- NO, Dante slips free of the Inferno to SHOVE Malakai into Buddy! And then JUMP KNEE for Malakai! Zay runs up, ducks ‘n’ dodges Dante, IMPLODER X-FACTOR! A very Nick Jackson type move there! Darius is back, he blocks a kick and FISHERMAN BUSTERS! Malakai swings on Darius, Darius blocks, but Malakai blocks to hit THE END! But Quen ROLLING KICKS Malakai! Buddy leaps, Quen gets under! Quen runs up, into a BOOT! Buddy goes up, but Quen GAMANGIRIS!
Zay is back, just in time for GIN & NO!! Malakai anchors Buddy to stop the Steiner! Buddy hits a METEORA on Zay! And POP-UP KNEE for Quen! Malakai climbs, Buddy suplexes Zay! JACKHAMMER and COUP DE GRACE!! Cover, TWO?!?! Zay survives and the fans can’t believe it! Neither can The House! But this is how badly Private Party want that gold! Malakai rises, he and Buddy drag Zay up, but Action storms out here! Action is still furious from last week, and his loss tonight doesn’t help. Leila Grey says don’t do it, but Action CHUCKS a water bottle at Buddy! The House storms over, but Dante tags in off Malakai!
The House wants Action, Action wants the House, but this is letting Dante snipe a DOUBLE TOPE!! Down goes The House! Action says that’s what the House gets! But then Dante goes up, into PARTY IN MOTION! Zay runs to use Quen as a step, to FLY! Down goes The House AND Dante! The fans are all fired up as Zay puts Dante in. Quen puts Dante up, Zay GAMANGIRIS, and then we get some GIN & JUICE!! Cover, Private Party wins!
Winners: Private Party, by pinfall (NEW #1 Contenders to the AEW World Tag Team Championships)
The House is rather beside themselves, because they let Action be a distraction. Will Malakai & Buddy have to make sure this is The End for Top Flight? As for Private Party, now that they have their SHOTS, SHOTS, SHOTS, can they win, win, win? Or will The Young Bucks make sure WrestleDream becomes a nightmare?
My Thoughts:
A very good Collision here, though it had some bad luck going up against WWE Bad Blood. Whenever it is Rampage folds, Collision should really move to Friday and not be a Saturday show. And it might just be me, but this was another rather talky episode. Though, I did like Archer beating up on randos and Callis trying to recruit him. I also liked that they established Jake Roberts is still Archer’s manager, even though we haven’t seen him much. And very good promo to flip things from last night, Kris getting in Kamille’s face. Kris of course beat Zoey Lynn, but Kamille of course knocked Kris down. They’ll have a great match that will surely establish Kris as Mone’s next challenger.
Though, speaking of, Emi Sakura is coming back to get fed to Mone. But at least Mone is having a title match on Title Tuesday, or just at all. Great promo from The Conglomeration to hype up not just both matches tonight, but also the stories to come. Great match from Willow VS Adora, and I feel like they should’ve done like, “Glamour Cam” with Mariah watching ringside, her reactions were great. Great win for Willow, and combined with Britt’s promo, I figured those two would face off for the title shot. I feel like they didn’t really pace things out well to just suddenly have this match affect the PPV, but well, that’s Tony Khan for you.
Great tag match of Cassidy & Kyle VS Premier Athletes that The Conglomeration of course won. We didn’t get much more in story, though, but the go-home week can help that. Awesome Fatal 4 Way, and Hologram is almost too powerful. But the fans also love him, so I can’t wait to see him primed for a title match after WrestleDream. Very good promo from Yuta with Claudio, and very good match of Yuta VS Beef. Beef is getting really good in that ring, he’s definitely going places. Yuta’s berserker mode is also great stuff, I wonder if he’ll unleash that on Pac for Tuesday.
But something about Claudio’s words to Yuta, it feels like Yuta might end up choosing The BCC, but I kinda hope he “carries on” the legacy of Bryan Danielson. He’s already been gifted the Cattle Mutilation so he could be fighting against The BCC like Sting fought against the NWO. Great vignette from the #FTRunners, and great match from GYV VS Outrunners. Outrunners winning was quite the shocker, I thought GYV would win to compel a rematch with FTR. I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
Very good match from Darby VS Johnny, which Darby of course won, and great bit making Brody King his opponent for WrestleDream. Not sure Darby needed to give his promo after calling Brody out for Tuesday, he should have just waited for Tuesday. Then Darby can do his reveal of “It was me, Brody! I got you here!” But even then, Darby VS Brody is going to be a hard hitting, gnarly show stealer of a match. And great stuff in that Triple Threat Tag main event, but just as I said last night, House of Black cancels out with Top Flight, Private Party wins. And also like I said last night, I really hope Private Party wins, they kinda deserve their moment.
My Score: 8.8/10
