Tony Khan welcomes us to the show, and says on behalf of ROH, on the debut of AEW Collision, ahead of the first ever main event with Samoa Joe, they’re all here to celebrate over one YEAR of dominance by the ROH World Television Champion. The Board is here to present Joe with a brand new ROH World Television Championship belt! Jerry Lynn says it is his pleasure, but then Stokely Hathaway snatches the belt to say it is HIS pleasure and he got this for Tony. Tony thanks them, and says as the Chairman of ROH, he presents Joe with the belt. Joe thanks Tony Khan and says this is a big surprise, but also well-deserved.

Joe says that Collision is a big night, a night of returns, and there’s no better way to celebrate than “breaking your boy’s face in the middle of that ring. Welcome to Chicago.” Tony looks worried but Stokely and Jerry still applaud the moment. We saw Joe team with Bullet Club Gold to take on Punk & FTR, though they did not win. Even so, will Joe make sure the shiny new TV title shines in the spotlight here in ROH?

Speaking of champions, we once again see the AAA Mega Champion team with the ROH World Tag Team Champions, and they even bring along The Commander for a battle with #SNAKEMAN, Kip Sabian, The Butcher & The Blade! Will these champion luchadores show #CeroMiedo? Or will things be superbad for everyone?

The teams sort out and fans rally for “LUCHA! LUCHA!” Serpentico starts against EHDV and the two circle. Vikingo shoves Serpentico, dodges his haymaker, but Serpentico dodges the roundhouse. Things speed up, Vikingo handsprings but Serpentico gets under. Fans fire up for the superhero landing! Things keep going, Vikingo shoves Serpentico, but Serpentico goes up and over. Vikingo runs in, handsprings over, throws Serpentico but he lands on his feet! Serpentico and Vikingo dodge haymakers, but Serpentico MONKEY FLIPS Vikingo away! Fans cheer, Serpentico runs in but Vikingo dodges.

Vikingo runs back in but into an elbow! Serpentico goes up but Vikingo blocks the rana! Vikingo then swings Serpentico around, but Serpentico slips free to get Vikingo up, POWERBOMB! Who knew he had such power? But as Serpentico fires up, Viking comes back with a SCREW HIGH KICK! Fans fire up as both men crawl, tag to Komander and Butcher! The two stare down and fans rally. Butcher kicks low, throws Komander out of the ring, but Fenix is there to help him back in. Butcher runs, Fenix dodges, ducks the boot and hurdles over, but Kip gets a cheap shot in! The fans boo but Butcher tosses Komander out.

The ref is busy with Butcher taunting the Lucha Campeones, and that allows Blade to RAM Komander into railing! Serpentico SUPERKICKS! Kip ARABIAN PRESSES! Direct hit and down goes Komander! Spanish Announce Project cheers as Kip puts Komander back in so Butcher can CLOBBER him! Cover, TWO! Butcher drags Komander up and CHOPS him in the corner. Tag to Serpentico, he runs in to KNEE! Tag to Blade, he tags in Kip. Blade runs in to CHOP, Kip runs in to CANNONBALL! Tag to Butcher and feed to the shoot and HALF NELSON BACKBREAKER! Tag to Kip and he covers, ONE!

Kip is upset with the ref, but he hits a FISHERMAN SUPLEX! Bridging cover, TWO! It wasn’t quite perfect but Kip keeps Komander away from the lucha corner. Tag to Blade, Blade stomps Komander down. Blade drags Komander up, tags Kip back in, and they double whip. Fans rally, Komander KICKS Blade and BOOTS Kip! Komander whips, Kip reverses, but Komander springboards up and over Kip to FLYING- NO, Blade blocks the rana! Blade brings Komander up, but Komander RANAS after all! Kip kicks and whips but Komander handsprings to DDT! Fans fire up as Komander hurries, hot tag to Penta!

Penta dodges Blade to SLINGBLADE! SLINGBLADE for Kip! Wheelbarrow and victory roll on Kip to launch Penta to DDT Blade! SUPERKICK for Kip! Tag to Fenix and fans fire up as he springboards to CROSSBODY Serpentico and Butcher! Butcher runs in but is sent into the corner. Fenix SUPERKICKS Serpentico, then JUMP SOBATS Butcher! Fenix then coordinates with the others, “UNO! DOS! TRES!” QUADRUPLE SUPERKICKS!! Fans are thunderous as Fenix covers Kip, TWO!! Kip survives but Fenix KICKS him in the back! Fenix tags Penta, Penta brings Kip in and Fenix goes up. “CERO! MIEDO!”

But the Superbad Squad blasts the lucha corner! Butcher ROCKS Penta, Blade suplexes, DRAG THE LAKE!! Kip is up top, for the DIVING DOUBLE STOMPS! Cover, the entire team breaks it!! Fans fire up while the Superbad Squad goes after the luchadores! Tag to Serpentico, he joins in, and they all suplex. But all the luchadores power out to QUADRUPLE SUPERKICK again! And then the luchadores drag the Superbad Squad around, get the legs, and they go ROWING! A good workout for the luchadores but not for the Superbad Squad! Serpentico staggers back in but Penta gets him first with a kick.

Penta reels Serpentico in, “CERO! MIEDO!” DESTROYER into the center! Penelope is freaking out while Vikingo goes up top. Vikingo SUPER CROSSBODIES Butcher & Blade! Fenix’s turn! SUPER CROSSBODY onto Kip! Penta resets with Serpentico, “CERO! MIEDO!” FEAR FACTOR! Cover, the luchadores win!

Things haven’t been going as smoothly for these two as either man would’ve hoped. But in a first-ever showdown, something’s gotta give. Which of these gravity defying stars overcomes the other to climb the ranks?

The Code of Honor is upheld and the bell rings. Fans rally as the two circle. Fans chant for “GRINGO LOCO!” and he fires up for that. Gringo and Mack tag up, and Mack wrenches to a wristlock. Gringo wrenches back, but Mack rolls, rolls back, breaks free and ROCKS Gringo with a palm strike! Mack whips, Gringo goes up and over and handsprings away! Fans fire up and Mack says that was good. Mack runs in but into a BOOT! Gringo runs, things speed up, Mack hurdles but Gringo leaps! Gringo runs, dodges, and tilt-o-whirls, but Mack handsprings through the headscissors! Gringo gives Mack credit now as fans cheer.

Mack runs, RANAS, but Gringo handsprings through! Mack dodges, Gringo dodges, both men show haymaker but they both hold back. Fans applaud the standoff and the two reset. Gringo and Mack feel things out, but then Mack kicks low. Mack whips Gringo but Gringo reverses. Mack goes up and over and hits a DDT! Gringo staggers around, Mack brings him to a corner to ROCK with another palm strike! Mack goes side to side, to FOREARM! And then the other way to BOOT! Fans fire up and Mack goes corner to corner, to CANNONBALL! Cover, TWO! Mack nods, Gringo is hanging tough.

Mack drags Gringo up, snapmares, and KNEES him in the back. Mack clamps on a chinlock but Gringo endures. Fans rally, Gringo fights up, and he throws body shots. Gringo is free, he runs and he KICKS Mack! Gringo runs but into a fireman’s carry, to a SAMOAN DROP! Both men are down and fans rally up. Mack kip up! And STANDING MOONSAULTS! Cover, TWO! Mack checks the count but it was fair, so he focuses on Gringo. Fans rally as Mack brings Gringo up. Mack throws haymakers, CHOPS, and he hoists Gringo to the top rope. Mack ROCKS Gringo, then swaggers before he goes up after Gringo.

Fans rally up but Gringo fires off body shots and CHOPS! Gringo sends Mack down, hops up, BEST MOONSAULT EVER?! Fans fire up, that was as good as Christopher Daniels’! Mack bails out, Gringo builds speed, and Gringo FLIES! Direct hit on Mack! Fans are thunderous as Gringo brings Mack up. Gringo puts Mack in, gets Chicago to fire up more, and then climbs up the corner. TORNILLO FLOPS as Mack moves! Mack rises, Gringo rushes back in, but into the SKY HIGH BOMB! Cover, TWO! Gringo survives but Mack keeps his focus. Fans rally as Mack and Gringo stand again. Mack brings Gringo around but Gringo fires off strikes!

Gringo runs, but into a FOREARM! Mack runs, blocks a kick but not the DRAGON WHIP! Mack wobbles and Gringo runs, but Mack redirects to GAMANGIRI! Fans fire up while both men are down! Mack rises, he goes to a corner, and fans fire up. But Gringo hurries up to ROCK Mack first! Gringo climbs, CLUBS Mack, then positions himself on the ropes. Trish Adora VS Allysin Kay!

The AfroPunk has fought hard against the various champions of AEW and ROH, and now she takes on a former champion in Chicago. Will Trish be bulletproof against the #AK47? Or will Allysin show Trish she’s still not at the  level of a champion?

The Code of Honor is upheld and the bell rings. The two circle, tie up, and are in a deadlock. Trish powers Allysin back but Allysin pulls hair! Trish dodges the sucker punch, but then Allysin uses ropes as a defense. Trish backs off, she and Allysin reset. Allysin calls for a test of strength, Trish obliges and they knuckle lock. They push each other, and Trish has the advantage! So Allysin knees low and CLUBS her! Allysin reels Trish in, but Trish NORTHERN LIGHTS! Bridging cover, ONE! Allysin is mad, but she gets caught to a hammerlock, double wristlock, and a stepover! Trish has an elevated headscissors!

Allysin endures, powers her way over, and HOTSHOTS Trish on the ropes! Allysin SPLASHES in the corner, and then pushes Trish around. Fans rally for Trish but Allysin rains down fists! The United Empire has been busy stateside already, and that energy is going to continue building here! Will the Aussie Arrow hit the bull’s eye and soon aim for a singles title? Or will Professional Wrestling’s Last Real Man show Kyle he’s got a long way to go?

Fans already chant “AUSSIE AUSSIE AUSSIE!” “OI OI OI!” The Code of Honor is upheld, the bell rings, and the two circle. The two tie up, Kyle wrenches to a wristlock, but Silas pulls hair. Kyle wrenches more, but Silas rolls, cartwheels, and wrenches back. Kyle rolls, wrenches, waistlocks, and SLAMS! Kyle facelocks but Silas rolls out to wrench and hammerlock. Silas then headlocks, but Kyle powers up and out. They RAM shoulders, and Silas eggs Kyle on. Kyle runs, but into a kick! Silas runs, RAMS Kyle, but Kyle rebounds to run Silas over! Fans fire up as Kyle paces around and shakes out the arms.

Kyle brings Silas up but Silas fires off forearms! Silas runs in but Kyle puts him on the apron! Kyle BOOTS Silas off the apron and fans fire up! Kyle feeds off that energy, to then PLANCHA! Direct hit and down goes Silas! Crowns up for the United Empire, and Kyle puts Silas in the ring. Silas swings, Kyle dodges, but then Kyle runs into a FLAPJACK HOTSHOT! Kyle flounders to a corner and Silas storms over. Silas stomps Kyle, stalks him to another corner, and stomps him some more. Silas throws hands, then digs his boot in. Prince Nana said last week, they were getting bored winning all the time, and they still won against Action Andretti, AR Fox & Darius Martin. How “bored” will Brian Cage, Bishop Kaun & Toa Liona be this week? Or will there finally be some excitement for them in the ROH Trios Division?

The Code of Honor is upheld, and the trios sort out. Liona isn’t letting Kurtis go so guess they’ll start. Liona does let go, the bell rings, and Liona CLOBBERS Kurtis! Then he BLASTS AJZ off the apron! Storm backs off, not wanting any trouble. Liona storms up on Kurtis in the other corner, and CHOKES him on the ropes! The ref counts, Liona lets off and he pulls the robe off Kurtis to then throw heavy body shots! Liona bumps Kurtis off buckles, then whips Kurtis hard into the corner to RAM him! Liona whips again, then back drops Kurtis on the rebound! Liona BLASTS AJZ and Storm now, then goes back to Kurtis.

Liona drags Kurtis up, but Kurtis stomps a foot! Kurtis fires body shots, but Liona shoves him. Kurtis sunset flips but Liona stays up. Kurtis avoids the punch, then kicks low! Kurtis reels Liona in, DDT! But Liona gets right up!? Kurtis gloats too much to notice, but then he turns around! BELLY2BELLY from Liona! Cover, but Storm breaks it! Tag to Kaun and Kaun dares Storm to tag someone else. AJZ tags in, he dodges Kaun and RAMS Kaun! Kaun fires forearms but so does AJZ! They go back and forth! Kaun shoves AJZ, AJZ dodges the haymaker to then pop-up PALM STRIKE!

AJZ whips, Kaun reverses, AJZ goes up and over and runs back in, but Kaun puts him on the apron. HOTSHOT! AJZ flops to the floor, Kaun goes out and takes aim. Kaun runs in to CLOBBER AJZ! Fans fire up with Kaun as he puts AJZ. Slingshot SENTON! Kaun drags AJZ up, CHOPS him, and Liona keeps AJZ up. Kaun puts AJZ up top, tags Liona, and Cage intercepts Kurtis with a POP-UP POWERBOMB! Two great rivals from recent ROH history meet in another 1v1 match as The Peacock takes on the Technical Beast! Who wins in what will be another instant classic for their rivalry?

Fans rally for “DALTON CASTLE!” “AND THE BOYS!” The Code of Honor is offered by Castle, but Woods bails out to stop the fans from cheering. Woods returns, he accepts the handshake after all, and the bell rings. The two circle, feel things out, and Woods hits a takedown but Castle comes back. Castle lifts, Woods rolls, hooks a leg, but Castle gets to a waistlock. Woods rolls, facelocks, and fans cheer this technical display. Castle slips out and to a waistlock but Woods sits and pries the hold. Fans rally for Castle but Woods gets to a switch, spin and whip. Castle blocks hip toss but so does Woods.

They go back and forth in blocking hip tosses, then end up in the ropes. The ref counts, Woods YANKS Castle into the ropes! Castle flops to the outside while the ref reprimands Woods. The Boys fan Castle off at the ramp while fans boo Woods. Castle catches his breath, gets back to his feet, and he takes his time returning. Nese & Sterling back off as Castle goes around the way. The fans rally and Castle feeds off that to fire back up. Castle picks up some speed and gets back in the ring, to then get a takedown on Woods! Castle rolls with that leg but Woods rolls free. Castle ends up in a corner but he comes back to short arm LARIAT!

Castle knees low, to BASEMENT DDT! Cover, ONE!! Woods is hanging tough but Castle waistlocks to rear bearhug. Woods fights up but Castle throws down elbows! Castle BELL CLAPS, then flexes! Fans fire up with Castle, and he brings Woods up. Castle scoops, Woods slips out and shoves, but Castle puts him on the apron. Castle swings but Woods blocks to ROCK Castle! Fans fire up but Sterling protests. Sterling gets on the apron but The Boys squawk at him. Sterling argues with The Boys, but Nese distracts Castle now, and Woods slides in. Woods rushes up to CLOBBER Castle off the apron! Castle hits railing on the way down and Nese talks trash. Woods goes out, stands Castle up, and RAMS him into the railing! Woods talks trash on the fans, then puts Castle in the ring. Woods stalks Castle but Castle BOOTS back! Fans rally, but Woods gets around and puts Castle in the ropes, ROUNDHOUSE to the back, then DRAPING BACKBREAKER, to a GERMAN SUPLEX! Bridging cover, TWO!

Nese & Sterling protest but the count was fair. Woods is frustrated as Chicago continues to rally for Castle. Woods waistlocks, but Castle gets the ropes. The ref counts, Woods holds on, but Castle elbows him away. Castle CHOPS, ROCKS, and CHOPS again! Woods wobbles, Castle keeps on him with shots at the ropes, then whips. They haven’t heard a word from him, but he does remember who they are, right? Yes, Matt Taven. But he doesn’t need the spiel. In that case, if he knows who they are, and they know who he is, then he’s the man they should be talking to. He’s surely seen them week after week after week, winning over and over again. Yes, congratulations. Then what’s the hold up? Where is their ROH Tag Team Championship shot?

Uh, how about The Kingdom earns a shot while Stokely is watching? Anything that happened in the past is in the past. Try winning in the future. Well, they should help Stokely, then. They have information but they aren’t sure if they should bring it up. The reason they’re here was for the tag titles but now that they’re talking, the Kingdom overheard The Infantry talking a lot of trash about Stokely. Beg pardon? Yes, they were saying it’d be surprising if Stokely lasted even two months here. Whoa, what? But see, look, they’re in a stairwell and not an office so maybe The Infantry has a point.

But Stokely, you have forgotten all that, so guess what Mike’s gonna do? Mike’s gonna go find Jerry Lynn, tell him how much Mike loved ECW, “E C DUB! That seems fair, she doesn’t wanna get in the ring with one of the baddest around. What does Diamante think? Oh, what does she think? Does she look stupid, Mark!? You expect her to believe she’s getting half the earnings? She doesn’t trust Jade or any of her bitches! That includes Mark!

That is unless Leila is too scared. Scared? Ain’t nobody scared! Leila beat her tonight, she’ll do it again. Okay then, forget 49%, Diamante is coming for 100% of that bag! Sterling says they’ll talk it over, but when and where will we see these two go another round?

Pure Rules: Daniel Garcia VS Rocky Romero!

The Dragonslayer won big last night on Dynamite in that championship studded tag match. And while we know he wants Katsuyori Shibata’s ROH Pure Championship, he’s also going to get his shot at the AEW International Championship at Forbidden Door! Will Garcia be rolling through this weekend? Or will Azucar make Garcia taste bitter defeat?

Our three judges tonight are Pat Buck, Stokely Hathaway, and Jerry Lynn. The Code of Honor is not really upheld as Garcia kicks Rocky’s hand. The bell rings, the two circle, and they tie up. Garcia waistlocks, SLAMS, and then floats all over Rocky to slap him around. Garcia soaks up the heat and then resets with Rocky. They tie up, go around, Rocky waistlocks to SLAM and slap Garcia around! Rocky has his own dance that fans like better. The two tie up again, Garcia and Rocky go along the ropes, but then Garcia keeps Rocky against them. The ref counts, but Garcia puts one of Rocky’s legs in the ropes.

Garcia wants this to count as one of Rocky’s three, and indeed, the ref has them break and puts it to Rocky’s record. That means Rocky only has two of those left. Rocky shoves Garcia, but Garcia pats him on the head. Rocky gets an ARMBAR TAKEDOWN! Garcia flails, reaches out, ROPEBREAK! Now Garcia only has two of those! Rocky smirks while Garcia frowns. They go again, things speed up, and Rocky RANAS! Mule kick, forearms, and then Rocky whips. Garcia holds ropes, bails out, and he wags his finger at the fans. Rocky runs to DIVE! Garcia kicks, whips, scoops, but Rocky slips around to IRON OCTOPUS! Garcia endures, walks his way over, reaches out, ROPEBREAK! That’s his second, he has one left. Rocky stomps Garcia, drags him up and UPPERCUTS! Rocky whips, Garcia reverses but Rocky KICKS him! Rocky then ducks ‘n ‘dodges and RAN- NO, Garcia blocks, drops Rocky and puts on an STF! Rocky endures, reaches out, fans rally but Garcia pulls on the hold!

Rocky still fights forward, claws his way forward, ROPEBREAK! That’s Rocky’s second, both men have one left. Garcia brings Rocky up, UPPERCUTS, and he says Rocky is a wrestler but Garcia is not. Garcia CHOPS Rocky, snapmares and stomps him! Garcia mocks the Latino Heat, then slingshots, just to scuff Rocky and do his dance. Fans boo while Rocky goes to ropes. Garcia stomps Rocky, fans chant “You Can’t Dance!” Garcia fires forearms over and over and over, then lets off with a shout. Garcia goes to the far corner, runs in, but Rocky JUMP KNEES! Garcia tried to copy Shibata and it cost him!

Rocky goes to another corner and the fans rally up. Garcia runs in but into an elbow! Rocky goes up but Garcia CHOPS him! Garcia CLUBS Rocky, climbs up after him, and fireman’s carries, but Rocky CLUBS him back! Rocky then ROCKS Garcia with forearms, adjusts, and SUPER STEINERS! Fans fire up while both men are down! Rocky rises, he runs up and fires forearms and CHOPS on repeat! Rocky puts Garcia in the ropes, KICKS him, then goes to the corner for GUILLOTINE DOUBLE STOMPS! Cover, ROPEBREAK! Garcia uses his last one to survive! Rocky stomps away on the bad arm now!

Rocky wrenches, ELBOW BREAKER, and double wristlock! Garcia throws body shots but Rocky throws an ELBOW! Cravat and SLICED- NO, Garcia powers out, rolls back, drags Rocky down and steps through! WALLS OF JERICHO! Rocky endures, reaches out, moves around, ROPEBREAK! Garcia lets go in frustration, but now no one has a ropebreak to save them! Garcia sits cross-legged, another message to Shibata. Fans even chant “NO MORE ROPEBREAKS!” as Garcia shouts to Shibata. SLEEPER!! Rocky sputters and fades, and then Garcia lets go to PENALTY- NO, Rocky blocks it!

Rocky fires off fast strikes, but Garcia BOOTS! Garcia blocks a kick, ducks the enziguri, but not the REWIND HEEL! But Garcia rebounds to LARIAT! Garcia shakes his head, gets the legs, and steps through, but Rocky cradle counters! TWO!! Rocky UPPERCUTS, springboards, TORNADO DDT! Rocky drags Garcia up, suplexes, FALCON ARROW into the DIABLO ARMBAR!! Garcia flails, reaches out, but ropes won’t save him! Garcia gets the ropes, but uses them to kick back and roll through! Garcia has the legs now! DRAGONTAMER!!! Rocky grabs ropes but again, ropes won’t save him! Garcia just PULLS on the legs with the ropes to help!! Rocky taps, Garcia wins!!

This was perhaps Garcia’s toughest challenge in this match type yet! Garcia shows Rocky respect by offering the Code of Honor, and Rocky accepts it. But then Garcia drags Rocky into another DRAGONTAMER! WAIT, here comes Orange Cassidy! Fans go wild as Freshly Squeezed “storms” his way down to the ring! Garcia stares Cassidy down, and Cassidy throws off his denim jacket! Garcia backs off, having done enough ahead of Forbidden Door. Will the title inside Cassidy’s backpack soon belong to another? Or can Freshly Squeezed survive the Fatal 4 Way?

ROH Women’s World Championship Chicago Street Fight: Athena VS Kiera Hogan!

The Fallen Goddess has been seemingly unstoppable, but she may have stoked the flames of the wrong one! Will Kiera look to burn down Athena’s reign and build hers atop the ashes? Or will nothing stop Athena’s win streak?

The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see if this is truly all, #PERIODT!

The bell rings and Athena rushes in! Kiera dodges, fires off shots, but Athena shoves her. Kiera dodges to then THESZ PRESS and fast hands! Athena shoves Kiera away, but Kiera dodges again, only to run into a SCRAPBUSTER! Athena runs down fists, and shouts, “This is MY show!” Athena DECKS Kiera, fans rally behind her, and she smiles as she goes out to fetch some furniture. Athena goes with a ladder! Athena puts that in the ring, but Kiera takes aim to DROPKICK it into Athena! Athena ends up stuck between that ladder and another! Kiera watches Athena get out of the predicament, to then FLYING RANA her into the ladder!

Kiera hurries to stand the ladder back up, she stomps away on Athena and rains down fists! Kiera CLUBS away, but Athena RAMS Kiera into another ladder! Kiera flounders, Athena RAMS her into barriers! Athena storms off to find a TABLE! Fans really like where this is going! Athena sets that table against barriers, goes back for Kiera, but Kiera mule kicks! Kiera CLUBS away, then finds a kendo stick! She puts that in the ring, and brings the trash can and lid into the ring, too. Kiera goes after Athena, puts her in the ring, and then stalks her. Kiera CLUBS Athena, but Athena SMACKS her with the trash can lid! And again!

Athena scowls as she stalks Kiera. She SMACKS Kiera again, and then grabs the can. Athena smirks as she puts the can under the bottom rope. Athena gets the kendo stick, and she SMACKS Kiera on the back! Athena slides Kiera into the can! Kiera is trapped as Athena SMACKS away on the can with the kendo stick! Fans fire up and Athena drags Kiera outta the can. High stack, TWO! Athena is pissed at the ref now! Athena looks back to Kiera, smirks and runs in, handspring- CAN SHOT! Kiera hits Athena in the face, and then puts Athena in the corner. HIP ATTACK! Kiera puts the can in Athena’s face, runs Around the World, and she BOOT WASHES!

Athena slumps against ropes, Kiera drags her out of the corner to bring her over the trash can. FISHERMAN SCREW on the can! Cover, TWO! Athena is hanging tough but fans rally for Kiera. Kiera kicks Athena in the side, goes out to grab that ladder, and she brings it a bit closer. Kiera then adjusts some other pieces, and she makes a ladder bridge from apron to the taller ladder. Athena crawls over but Kiera SMACKS her! Kiera CLUBS Athena onto the ladder bridge, climbs the corner, and fans fire up as Kiera aims. SUPER SPLASH but only on ladder!! Athena moves and Kiera crashes ‘n’ burns! The ref checks her, but Athena crawls over.

Athena takes the ladder bridge apart, puts the tallest ladder down flat on the ground, and then considers her options. Athena stomps Kiera, looks under the ring, fans want tables and so Athena grabs a table. Athena sets that up at ringside, near steel steps. Athena then goes and grabs the Clark Street street sign! She stomps the sign! She don’t care about Clark Street! Athena RAMS Kiera into barriers! Athena takes advantage of the premade chair construct and adds some more chairs to make it nastier. But Kiera attacks in return! Athena JAMS Kiera, then SMACKS her with that chair, before adding it to the rest.

Athena drags Kiera up, brings her around, but Kiera reverses to send Athena through the table! The one Athena set up earlier comes back to bite her! Kiera isn’t done, either, as she puts Athena in the ring. Kiera looks around at her options, and she grabs the kendo stick. Fans fire up and Kiera SMACKS Athena! Athena goes to a corner then out of the ring. Kiera stalks Athena and SMACKS her again! Athena finds another kendo stick and she SMACKS Kiera in return! Kiera and Athena have a kendo match as they hit back and forth! Athena fires off and her stick starts breaking on Kiera’s back and hips!

Athena grabs another chair, she adds that to the construct, and then keeps finding more chairs to add it! It’s looking really jagged now, and Athena goes back for Kiera. Athena drags Kiera up, but Kiera throws body shots! And forearms! Kiera ROCKS Athena and has her on the table! Kiera goes up the steel steps, to then FLYING SPLASH on the table! The table doesn’t break and fans are disappointed. They want that “ONE MORE TIME!” so Kiera obliges. Kiera also wants this to work, so she goes up the corner! SUPER SPLASH through the table!! Both women are down in the wreckage but Kiera stirs.

Kiera stands and she looks under the ring. Kiera brings out another table! Fans love it! Kiera puts that table in the ring and starts setting it up. Athena crawls into the ring and she DECKS Kiera! Athena grins with a wild look in her eyes, because she has Kiera on a table now! Athena climbs the corner, fans fire up, but Kiera UPPERCUTS first! Kiera ROCKS Athena, then goes up, STRATUS- NO, Athena blocks the rana to drag Kiera up! SUPER POWERBOMB THOURGH THE TABLE!!! Fans lose their minds as Athena covers, TWO!??! Kiera survives and no one can believe it, least of all Athena!

“This is Awesome!” as Kiera stirs in the wreckage. Kiera rises, Athena gets mad, and she clears out space. Athena storms around, thinking of what to do. Athena wedges the trash can into a corner, but says that’s not enough. Athena goes out, looks under the ring, and finds a black bag. And everyone knows what this means! Athena dumps the bag out to reveal THUMBTACKS! Fans are going nuts already as Athena makes sure they’re spread out evenly. Athena then drags Kiera up, brings her over, Canadian Rack, but Kiera fights free! Kiera SUPERKICKS! Athena wobbles, SUPERKICKS back, but then Kiera baits her into the trash can!!

Athena crashes off metal, and then Kiera LEG CAPTURE SUPLEXES ONTO THE TACKS!!! They’re both covered in them! Cover, TWO!!! Fans are losing their mind and Kiera’s rage fires up! Kiera shows off those new braids, and she uses them to CHOKE ATHENA! Athena flails, sputters, reaches out, but there are no ropebreaks in this match! Athena RAMS Kiera into buckles, but then Kiera uses them to climb up! Kiera STRANGLES Athena! Athena CLAWS Kiera’s face!! Athena goes for the eyes, then she ROCKS Kiera with a forearm! Kiera wobbles up top, Athena tastes her own blood, and she goes to the apron.

Athena looks at the wicked chair construct, and she drags Kiera up from the corner! Fans are freaking out, SUPERPLEX ONTO THE CHAIR PILE!!! It all falls down like a metal house of cards, and both women are down in the wreckage! Athena rises, she drags Kiera up by her hair and fireman’s carries. Athena shoves Kiera into the ring, pushes her over to a cover, Athena wins!

Winner: Athena, by pinfall (still ROH Women’s World Champion)

What madness Chicago just witnessed tonight! And the Fallen Goddess laughs as she holds onto her title! If not even this could stop her, will Athena reign forever?

Backstage interview with Athena.

Lexi is with the champion and says we witnessed an incredibly brutal match. Athena did retain, what- Wait, where are her congratulations? Where are her green apple Skittles? Where are her kittens? Where is everyone?! Where is the showering applause, tequila and whiskey? No one is here! Time and again, Athena shows up here, proves that she is the BEST in the business, and yet where is her just do? Kiera Hogan: DONE! Thrown in the trash, she can live in whatever dumpster she wants to live in. Athena is done. It is time for this division to see what real dominance is, what a real reign is!

Athena then laughs. Lexi’s still here? This is crazy! This is a new one. Lexi, send a message to the entire ROH Women’s Division: “Step up, or step out.” Athena wants more, but does ROH even have more to give?

My Thoughts:

A really good but also really long ROH at 2 hours and 35 minutes, all because it’s another PPV weekend. Great matches that were just for a lot of fun, like the opening 8 Man Tag. Really good wins for Lucha Brothers y amigos, Gringo Loco, Kyle Fletcher, The Mogul Embassy, Dalton Castle, Moriarty & Morrissey, and the trio of Action, Fox & Darius, which really need a name if they’re going to stick together. Maybe just use the Top Flight name to expand to a faction? Great win for Trish Adora, too, but her being on the card also fed into the story growing between Kingdom and Infantry.

Great promos from Stokely and each team, and great match from Kingdom VS Infantry. Trish joining forces with The Infantry and being a counter to Maria is great stuff, and makes sense given Trish, Dean & Carlie are all veterans. They can have a Mixed Six but also separate matches, such as Trish VS Maria, with Dean & Carlie keeping an eye on Mike & Taven. Also good stuff out of Dark Order’s story, making their squash match win have purpose because they want to send a message to The Righteous. This clearly means we’re getting a No Disqualification Six Man Tag to let both trios show their full violent sides.

Good story developing between Diamante and Leila, and it feels like it’s already better than some of the stuff going on with The Baddies as Jade was building her win streak. Great Pure Rules match from Garcia VS Rocky, probably the best since ROH returned. Cassidy making the save was good, because as commentary pointed out, Rocky is friends with Trent Beretta and therefore a friend of Cassidy’s. Garcia’s win gives him momentum for both the Fatal 4 and his eventual match with Shibata, which means he’s certainly losing the Fatal 4 Way this Sunday. Garcia will just focus on Shibata and the Pure Championship for the Summer, and probably get his shot at Death Before Dishonor in July.

And then an awesome main event in the Chicago Street Fight. I was worried about the chairs stacked upon chairs, but it seems Kiera and Athena made it through just fine. A little surprised they had Athena do a backstage interview promo to close the night, but it worked out to add more to her story. She’s run through the ROH Women’s Division to where it really feels like someone will have to be brought in from another company or free agency, and even then, I’m not so sure.
