The trios sort out and Ross starts against Cool Hand Ange while Daddy Magic demands to know where Marshall’s shoes are. Ross and Parker tie up, Parker puts Ross on the ropes, and the ref counts. Menard shouts at Ross, Parker says, ‘Von Erich Country my ass!” Fans boo, Rosso wrenches Parker and wristlocks. Ross then waistlocks to SLAM Parker, floats around, and has the arm. Parker fights up but Ross wrenches. Parker pushes Ross back and pulls hair, but Ross twists the wrist harder. The fans rally for the Von Erichs but Parker turns things around on Ross. Ross rolls through the wringer to kip up and DROPKICK!

Fans fire up while Parker flounders to a corner. Ross runs in to BOOT! Ross goes corner to corner again, HYDRAULIC DROPKICK! Ross drags Parker over, tags in Marshall, and they whip to DROPKICK! Fans fire up, Menard tags in, and Menard circles with Marshall. They approach, Menard kicks and whips but Marshall reverses to CLOBBER Menard! ELBOW DROP! Fans fire up and Menard staggers up. Marshall aims but Hager tags in! The fans chant for “CLAW! CLAW!” but Marshall tags in Cassidy. Fans cheer for “FRESHLY SQUEEZED!” Hands up, but Hager picks Cassidy up to throw him to a corner!

Hager whips corner to corner, Cassidy tumbles up and out and slips around, then ducks ‘n’ dodge to sunset flip! But Hager stays up to drag Cassidy up, and he carries Cassidy around to put up top. The ref counts, Hager lets off, but Cassidy says wait. Hands up, hands in pockets! Hager runs in, Cassidy jumps over! SHOTGUN! Kip up! Cassidy ducks ‘n’ dodges and tilt-o-whirls to DDT! Hager CHOKES Cassidy on the ropes, the ref counts, and Hager lets off. Parker gets a cheap shot in! Parker soaks up the heat, Hager drags Cassidy up and the ref has to keep Marshall back. Hager fires off hands on Cassidy in the corner, then lets off. Cassidy falls over, Hager tags in Menard. Hager taunts the Von Erichs while Menard CLUBS Cassidy. Cassidy throws body shots in return but Menard knees low. Menard whips, ELBOWS Cassidy, then he DECKS Ross with a sucker punch! Marshall is furious but Menard tags Hager. Hager picks Cassidy up to SLAM him down! Hager clamps onto Cassidy and grinds the arm.

Rampage returns to single picture, the fans rally up and Cassidy reaches out. Hager whips Cassidy away hard, then runs in to HAGER BOMB into boots! Cassidy is up, he fires off on Menard & Parker, then dodges Hager! Hot tag to Marshall! Marshall rallies on Menard & Parker, then DROPKICKS! Fans fire up with Marshall, he runs in to clothesline Parker in a corner! Then a clothesline on Menard! Then another for Parker, but Parker BOOTS back! Parker goes up, but Menard DROPKICKS him down! Fans fire up, but Menard CLOBBERS Marshall! Menard whips, Marshall reverses and Ross whips so Marshall can whip, Ross KNEES Menard down!

Hager puts his hands up, reaches for the purple hat, but wait! PAPA KEVIN is here! Fans fire up, Ross & Marshall IRON CLAW Menard & Parker! DONG PUNCH for Danhausen, then an ORANGE PUNCH from Cassidy! And now Kevin gets in, and yes, IRON CLAW for Hager!! The fans are thunderous as the OG claw crushes Big Hurt! Kevin finally lets go, and the Von Erichs all celebrate together! Texas is still Von Erich Country, but will the Von Erichs be All Elite?

AEW Media caught up with Mark Briscoe backstage and asked about the loss in the tournament. Now that Briscoe is out of contention, what’s left to fight for? He says don’t be sorry about the loss. He has something to fight for, because fighting is what he does, and pro-wrestling is what he was put on this Earth to do. #DemBoyz, Briscoe Brothers, baddest team to ever do it. Put it like this: this is Mark’s rookie year. 23 years of tag team wrestling, the baddest tag team ever, and now he’s a rookie singles competitor, get it? Ain’t no shame in the game. But then Team Triple J has to walk in and see Mark.

Sonjay Dutt says whoa, funny running into Chicken back here. Mark says hey, Sonjay, Double J. Lethal says it is him and Briscoe next week. Mark tells him that he can’t believe Lethal’s still hanging out with these clowns. Look where they’ve gotten him. Karen says where it got MARK. Yeah, fair point. Fair point. But Lethal says he can handle this. The others move on, and Lethal says a lot of history here. Yep, and nothing on the line and nothing to lose. Like back in New Jersey those 20 something years ago. Lethal’s parents were shouting louder than the Briscoes were. Mark isn’t sure about that, but okay.

Mark says the media wants to know what there is to fight for, and he says love of the game. Lethal says how about honor. Mark likes that. The friendly rivals shake hands, but there is something to fight for. Who gets their one and only win in the Continental Classic while the other ends up the Gold League’s 0-5 bottom of the ladder?

With the putrid patriarch that is Don Callis accompanying them, “Powerhouse” Will Hobbs and the Aussie Arrow, Kyle Fletcher, are looking to keep the momentum going. Will they make quick work of their opponents so Fletcher can hurry over to ROH Final Battle?

Hobbs brings down the straps, Fletcher BOOTS Grey back down, and Hobbs hits the WORLD’S MOST DANGEROUS SLAM!! Cover, the Family wins!

But despite that, all anyone wants to see is the Golden Jets, Jericho & Omega! What a dream team, right? And how did two of the biggest stars in the history of wrestling come together as a team? Ruby Soho was frustrated after losing again. Maybe she’s distracted. Maybe she’s being pulled in so many different directions that she doesn’t know what’s best for her anymore. Saraya storms over and says this is becoming a pattern that is driving her insane! Ruby is nothing without Saraya and that loss out there proves it! Ruby NEEDS Saraya! STOP!! Okay?! Speaking of doing things on their own, The Star of the Show has ditched the X-JAS again. Will she still be the Queenslayer all by herself? Or will The Chef #StirItUp and serve up an L?

The bell rings, the two circle, and the fans rally up. They tie up, Velvet shoves Anna, and they tie up again. Velvet shoves Anna again, Anna cools off and storms up on Velvet. Anna offers a handshake, but Velvet is wary. Velvet still accepts, and then Anna wrenches the hand! But Velvet ducks the hook kick, rolls Anna up, TWO! Anna backslides, TWO! Velvet steps over, La Magistrol, TWO! The two stand off and the fans cheer. Velvet and Anna reset, Velvet says it takes more than a phat ass and bad attitude to beat her. Anna rushes in, Velvet dodges, but Anna avoids the dropkick. Anna takes a bow, but Velvet KICKS her!

Anna goes to a corner, Velvet fires body shots from all sides! Velvet then digs her boot in and does the splits! The fans fire up, Velvet lets off at 4, and Anna stands up. Velvet runs in, Anna dodges and runs back in, but Velvet slips to the apron. Anna kicks the bad leg, runs side to side, and she BLASTS Velvet down! Fans rally up, Anna goes out to fetch Velvet, and SMACKS her off the apron! Anna puts Velvet in at the corner, and then pulls her against the post! The fans boo, the ref counts but Anna counts along. Anna lets off at 3, refreshes the ring count, and then has Velvet again! She bends Velvet against the post as Rampage goes picture in picture!

Velvet endures, Anna laughs and then lets off at 4, and Anna drags Velvet around. Anna SMACKS Velvet off the mat, talks trash to the fans, then CLUBS Velvet back down. Anna bumps Velvet off buckles, digs her boot in and also does the splits. The ref counts, Anna lets off at 4, then ROCKS Velvet! Anna then puts Velvet on ropes to CHOKE! The ref counts, Anna lets off at 4, and Anna kicks Velvet around. Anna CHOKES Velvet with her hands, then lets off as the ref counts. Anna tells the ref to stop bugging her, then she CLUBS Velvet down. Cover, ONE!! Velvet hangs tough and Anna grows frustrated. Anna brings Velvet up but Velvet throws body shots!

Rampage returns, Anna throws Velvet down by her hair and the ref reprimands. Anna drags Velvet into a motorcycle stretch, her knee digging into Velvet’s back. Velvet endures, fights up, and the fans rally. Velvet booty bumps, stomps Anna’s feet, but Anna CLUBS her down! Anna reels Velvet in, snap suplexes, and then brings Velvet up. Una Amiga, but Velvet blocks dos! Velvet snap suplexes Anna now! Fans fire up as Anna and Velvet go to opposite corners. Velvet runs in, and she rallies on Anna with forearms and elbows! Anna runs in, Velvet dodges and CALF KICKS! Velvet says it is time, and she has Anna on ropes.

Velvet runs and DOUBLE KNEES Anna in the back! Anna is still on ropes, so Velvet YANKS the ropes to bring her down. But Anna avoids the Dreamcast Kick! Gory Especial, GORY BOMB! Shoutout to Tay, cover, TWO?!?!? Anna can’t believe Velvet survives, and then Daddy Magic makes his way out here? Menard wants to talk with Anna but she says not now, she has a match. This trio challenge was issued a few weeks ago, but both teams are finally ready. Will the Sight to See & The Martin Brothers take off towards the AEW World Trios Championships at Mach speed? Or will they learn what it is to fly with #CeroMiedo?

The trios sort out and Dante starts against the AAA World Cruiserweight Champion. The fans rally up already as the two stare down. They tie up, Dante wristlocks but Komander rolls. Dante wristlocks again but Komander flips using the ropes. Dante wrenches and wristlocks again, but Komander uses the ropes to backflip and then slingshot and kip up, but Dante ROCKS Komander! Dante has Komander on ropes, whips him, but Komander reverses to IRON OCTOPUS! Dante pries at that but Komander just swings through to RANA Dante to a corner! Fans fire up and Komande runs in, only for Dante to put him up top.

Dante winds up but Komander boots him away. Dante rolls through, Komander leaps over him, and then  Komander runs in. Dante slips out to the apron, Komander goes back up, only for Dante to JUMP KICK! Dante jumps to the other side, fights off Vikingo, and then fireman’s carries Komander. Komander slips off and to the far side. Komander runs back in, but Dante rolls under, so Komander handsprings up and over! The fans are all fired up, and then Komander hurries back in. Dante runs in, but he fakes Komander out by jump up and backflipping off the top rope! The fans are thunderous already!

Komander trips Dante but Dante kicks him him away! Dante trips Komander, covers, Komander goes Matrix! Dante rolls him up, ONE! The two stand off and the fans are still red hot for this! The two shake hands, then back off. Tag to Action and tag to the AAA Mega Champion! The fans fire up, these two speed up. and Vikingo hurdles while Action leaps over. They keep going, Vikingo SPINNING RANAS, but Action handsprings through!? Fans fire up, Viking SOBATS and runs, to then sunset flip! Action stays up, steps over, and deadlifts Vikingo. Vikingo slips free and shoves, Action handsprings but into Vikingo’s arms!

Vikingo shows his own strength as he SAIDO, but Action sunset flips through! Vikingo rolls through, Action ducks the kick to roll up, and the two stand off! The fans are thunderous again and the two fist bump. Then they back off, tags to Penta and Darius! The fans stay hot, then chant “CERO! MIEDO!” Penta wants Darius to listen. “CERO! MIEDO!” Penta pie faces, Darius CHOPS! Penta nods, takes off the glove, and throws it to Alex! Perfect catch! CHOP! Darius snarls, CHOPS, Penta CHOPS, repeat! They CHOP and CHOP and fans fire up! Penta winds up, but Darius arm-drags and DROPKICKS!

Darius runs but into a SUPERKICK! Penta says “CERO! MIEDO!” then runs, but into an UPPERCUT! Darius runs, but Penta follows, ducks ‘n’ dodges, and SLINGBLADES! Darius gets up, but gets another SLINGBLADE! Penta dodges Action & Dante, Komander y Vikingo DOUBLE DROPPKICK them out! Vikingo goes to the apron, los luchadores say together, “CERO! MIEDO!” and then Penta y Komander build speed, Vikingo coordinates, DOUBLE TOPE CONJILO ASAI MOONSAULT EN STEREO!! Direct hit on all three targets and the fans are thunderous for “LUCHA! LUCHA!” while Rampage goes picture in picture.

Then Komander feeds Vikingo to a HEEL KICK, adds a HEEL KICK, and Penta half nelsons, pump handles, MADE IN JAPON!! Cover, TWO!! Darius survives but Penta won’t let off! Penta brings him around, Vikingo goes up, “CERO! MIEDO!” Tuck and lift, but Darius slips free to shove Penta into Vikingo! Vikingo tumbles down, feed to the SHOTGUN GERMAN SUPLEX COMBO! Komander runs in, Dante blast past him and comes back, but Komander dodges. Darius gives Dante the boost up and over, ASSISTED TORNADO DDT!

Action is back, he and Dante double clothesline Komander up and out! Top Flight now has control, they aim at all los luchadores, Darius DIVES onto Penta, Action DIVES onto Komander, and Dante DIVES onto Vikingo! The fans fire up for the hattrick! Darius gets back in the ring, Dante sends Vikingo in for him, and Darius covers. TWO, but Darius keeps cool. Darius drags Vikingo up, CHOPS him, then wrenches. Tag to Dante and he goes up top. Darius CLUBS Vikingo, Dante DOUBLE STOMPS the arm! Dante brings Vikingo up to snapmare and then SPALSH! Cover, TWO! Dante clamps onto Vikingo with a chinlock and armlock.

Vikingo endures, fights up, but Dante bumps him off buckles. Tag back to Darius, he stomps Vikingo then tags in Action. They snapmare and KICK to basement dropkick! Cover, TWO! Action clamps on with a chinlock and he grinds Vikingo down. Vikingo endures, fights up again, but Action leans on the chinlock. Vikingo still fights up but Action CLUBS him down. Action CHOPS, Rampage returns to single picture, and Action tags in Darius. Darius tags Dante, fans rally with “SI SE PUEDES!” but Top Flight brings Vikingo up. Vikingo BOOTS Action and flips up and over the martins, to then CHOP and CHOP!

Vikingo runs, but into a pop-up double arm-drag, only to rebound off ropes and DOUBLE ARM-DRAG back! Vikingo kips up, kicks Action’s lariat and ENZIGURIS! Hot tag to Penta! Penta dodges the Martins, SUPERKICKS Action, then DOUBLE LARIATS the Martins! Wheelbarrow, victory roll, DOUBLE DDT for the Martins! SUPERKICK for Action again! Tag to Komander and he springboards to SWANTON! Then he runs to IMPLODER TORNADO DDT on Action!! Dante runs in to KICK Komander, bring him up, POWER KNEE! Vikingo SOBATS Dante, reels him in and torture racks, for FEAST YOUR EYES!

Vikingo sets Dante in the ropes to ENZIGURI! Dante dangles, Vikingo springboards, GUILLOTINE LEG DROP! Darius is up, he blocks Vikingo’s boot to pump handle, RIPCORD FACEBUSTER! Fans rally for “LUCHA! LUCHA!” Penta KICKS Darius’ leg, whips, but Darius reverses. Penta SUPERKICKS again! Penta then pops Darius up, SUPERKICKS him upside-down, then fireman’s carries! DEATH VALLEY JACKHAMMER!! Action is back, he dodges and handsprings, BIG back elbow! Komander urns in, Action tilt-o-whirls but into a FACEBUSTER! Dante CLOBBERS Komander! Then Dante hurries out to the apron.

Fans fire up as Dante brings Komander up, ROCKS him, then reels him in, But Komander fights back! Dante throws forearms, “This is Awesome!” as Dante goes up, and leaps! Komander gets under, Penta is there to APRON CODE BREAKER! Action BOOTS Penta, fireman’s carries, and APRON DEATH VALLEY DRIVERS!! Komander runs back in to go up and FLYING RANA Action tot he floor! But Darius slides in. Komander dodges, goes up and kicks low, to then go up the corner and TRUST FALL into an APRON GERMAN SUPLEX!! Vikingo is back, he kicks Darius and goes up, stands on Darius, then APRON CODE RED!!!

The fans are thunderous, Dante BOOTS Vikingo and runs in again, stalling APRON MONKEY FLIP!! Penta returns, triangle jump APRON DESTROYER!!!! The fans are electric as all six men are down! Jericho applauds, this is a standing ovation everywhere you look! Penta is safe in the ring and the ring count continues. Action gets up and slides in, and fans hope these trios “FIGHT FOREVER!” But this has to end somehow, Rampage is running outta time! Penta and Action stare down, and then Action CHOPS! Penta says okay, and he CHOPS! Action grits his teeth, and he warms up his hand to CHOP!

Penta hushes the crowd, then CXHOPS! Darius CHOPS! Vikingo CHOPS! Dante CHOPS! Komander CHOPS! They all CHOP! The fans are electric again, the ref lets it go! “CERO! MIEDO!” Los luchadores run, into TRIPLE SUPERKICKS!! Top Flight runs, into TRIPLE SUPERKICKS!! All six men LARIAT, but they all stay up! All six men BOOT and the all fall down! But then all kip up! They all ROUNDHOUSE!! They all fall back down!!! The fans are electric and Jericho says this is the most amazing match he’s seen ever and that’s no lie! The fans are loving “A E DUB!” for giving them this main event.

Top Flight regroups, Action & Darius run in but get dumped out! Vikingo y Penta build speed, but Action & Darius are back to DOUBLE SPANISH FLY! Komander is back but Dante catches him, half nelson but Komander fights free! Kmoander CHOPS and CHOPS and CHOPS, but handsprings into the arms of Darius & Action! They toss Komander to Dante for the HALF NELSON SLAM!! Cover, Top Flight wins!!

Winners: Action Andretti & Top Flight, by pinfall

“Instant Classic” almost doesn’t cut it! Best Trios match of the year? Best match period? Who’s to say, but los luchadores regroup and show their respect to these three young stars. Will the Coldest Trio in the Game soon be the goldest trio?

My Thoughts:

A great Rampage here, but I gotta point out that Tony Khan probably overlooked how he double-booked quite a few people from this Rampage to ROH Final Battle. Yes, Rampage is prerecorded on Wednesday, but they kayfabe that it’s live tonight. Now, while they made sure to be in Arlington, Texas for Dynamite, and Final Battle is in Garland (roughly a one hour drive one way), it’s still dumb to have done such a thing. The Von Erichs & Cassidy had a great opening match that they of course won, with a great moment for Kevin Von Erich. And of course the Don Callis Family squash their opponents, but Kyle’s in Survival of the Fittest, he shouldn’t be kayfabe traveling when he should just be at the ROH event getting ready.

But leaving ROH out of this since Tony Khan clearly did, Callis has an interesting promo. Sadly the news of Kenny Omega needing to be out indefinitely with undisclosed injury only came out today, so it ruins Callis wanting to keep the Golden Jets guessing on who will go after them before Worlds End and the tag title match. For that matter, not sure what really happens to that tag title match. Jericho can probably call upon someone as a surprise substitute partner. I’m thinking we should get the full reunion of JeriShow with Paul Wight returning to get payback on Hobbs, and then he and Jericho can face Starks & Bill at Worlds End to give us some great parallels in that match.

Great match from Anna VS Velvet with Menard actually helping Anna win in the end rather than costing her. This and the promo from Ruby and Saraya help build the story that’s brewing between the X-JAS and Outcasts. Ruby has all but broken up with Saraya as a team, so Anna will surely step in to take her place. And good promo from Mark Briscoe with Triple J to hype Lethal VS Mark, and that’ll be a great match. What would probably be the best for both is to have a time limit draw, they each get one point so they end tied and no one has the goose egg.

And just an awesome Trios main event, but Vikingo also counts as a double booking since he defended the AAA Mega Championship tonight at Final Battle. In kayfabe, that means he had superhuman levels of stamina to do all this in one night, so cool for him I guess. But still, this match was amazing. Action & Top Flight probably need to work on the team finish because a pop-up to half nelson slam isn’t that wild considering all the crazy stuff that led up to it. Great win for them, and they’re definitely primed to challenge The Acclaimed for the Trios titles, can’t wait to see that at Worlds End.
