The latest Star Wars series, The Acolyte, caused a definite disturbance in The Force among the Nerds this week. The guys discuss the first two Episodes but take a larger look at how the rampant review bombing of series like The Acolyte makes it very difficult to focus on valid issues and concerns fans might have about a series. In any event, the Nerds had some issues with the new show to be sure but was it enough to turn them off from the series entirety after just two Episodes. A visit to the Trailer Park looks at the latest for Season 3 of The Legend of Vox Machina, the third installment of the Venom series, and the latest entry from the Aliens franchise that definitely harkens back to the feel of the original movie from 1979! In News Around The Nerdosphere, Godzilla: Minus One continues to rewrite the record books, a favorite from the MCU retires, and casting rumors for the upcoming Beatles biopic has the guys excited.

This was a massive week for the Bandwagon and especially for the Bandwagon’s biggest Superman fan. The long wait finally came to an end as James Gunn’s Superman finally hit theaters, and the Bandwagon all had a chance to see it. Everyone offers up their thoughts on one of the biggest movies of the summer. Did Superman deliver? Is this the kind of start James Gunn had to be looking for as he reboots the DC Universe? We won’t spoil anything here, but if you want all the details, then you will need to tune in to this special Episode. The guys also check out the latest trailers for Sketch, Twisted Metal Season 2, and Red Sonja. All that plus a huge announcement for San Diego Comic Con, as for the first time, George Lucas will be appearing at the mecca of Nerdom.

For the past 4 years, Rey Cash has been anxiously waiting and predicting the arrival of a very iconic Marvel villain. This past week, as Ironheart concluded its limited six-episode run, Rey’s prediction finally came true. Mephisto finally arrived in the MCU. The guys break down this long-overdue arrival and what they thought of the Ironheart series in general. The trailer park brings us the latest looks at upcoming projects such as The Eyes of Wakanda, The Running Man reboot, and the newest from Ryan Gosling in Project Hail Mary. Meanwhile, we got some less-than-encouraging news about the future of The Last of Us, some confusing news about the future of South Park, and how props from the misguided attempt to reboot Blade ended up on the set of Sinners. Additionally, the guys pay their respects to Michael Madsen, Kenneth Colley, and Julian McMahon. All that plus Dave gives his thoughts on Jurassic Park: Rebirth.
