“There is a night…

“…where thrill seekers, daredevils, and monsters gather to bring their own form of terror. A night where the most powerful will thrive. Where a man left for dead infiltrates a house of horrors. It’s a struggle of rivals that could mean the death of a party. And a night where even a dangerous man faces a whole new herd. This is that night. As AEW presents… Fright Night Dynamite!”

The Blackpool Combat Club speaks.

More post show footage from Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli & Wheeler Yuta as they stormed out of the arena last week. The Swiss Superman walks ‘n’ talks about how “five years ago, Jon Moxley built this place with is bare freakin’ hands! We’re not gonna let a bunch of punks ruin it for us. We’re going to take this company to new heights. And if you don’t see that, then you’re-” Wait, Orange Cassidy shouts over the audio to say stop it, shut it off! The footage stops, and the fans fire up as Freshly Squeezed storms his way to the ring! Cassidy says, “That’s enough of that. See, I don’t do this. I don’t like this. This is not who I am.

“I don’t come out here and tell you for ten minutes that I’m a leader. I’m not a leader. That’s not what I am. But after last week, when I slid into this ring, and I watched my best friend, Chuck Taylor, get his neck crushed by a steel chair… When I looked around, I was surrounded by the people that I should’ve been. I admire their courage, they’re all very, very talented. But they are very, very young. I was surrounded by the future of AEW.” The fans cheer that. Cassidy says those guys have no idea of the danger they are in. They have no idea how dangerous Jon Moxley is! The fans rally behind Cassidy, and he says he knew then and there what he needed to do.

If Moxley has his way, there is no future for AEW. Those young guys have nowhere to go. Moxley never needed AEW, but Cassidy does! The fans cheer that! Cassidy doesn’t exist without AEW! There is no him, there is no us, there isn’t this! The fans cheer more, and chant “A E DUB! A E DUB!” Cassidy says now he knows what he needs to do: He must stop this, cut the head off the snake, and make sure no one else gets hurt. He’ll do it alone so he can protect everyone. And how does he do that? Cassidy takes off the sunglasses to say, “Jon Moxley, I challenge you! I challenge you for the AEW World Championship!”

The fans fire up, and Cassidy says he will take the symbol of this company and what it represents, take it out of Moxley’s bag, and put it in his backpack! So then, Moxley, you just let Cassidy know. He isn’t hard to find. He is where he is every single week: right here in this ring! Because, uh, he’s Freshly Squeezed Orange Cassidy. The fans cheer Cassidy on as he puts the sunglasses back on, and Cassidy adds, “And I am the next AEW World Champion. And… I still don’t need a catchphrase.” The fans cheer as Cassidy steps up, not as a leader but as a defender of AEW! Will Cassidy heroically take back what the BCC is trying to take from us?

Mercedes Mone & Kamille arrive backstage.

The CEO tells her Brickhouse to completely annihilate Kris Statlander! Renee Paquette catches up to them, and brings up the match of Kamille VS Statlander to finally prove who is the strongest woman in AEW. Does Mone have a prediction? Mone and Kamille look to each other as if they can’t believe this. Mone tells Renee that Renee should know better. First thing is first, Cleveland, please say hello to your CEO. And secondly, Mone hates terrible questions. Predictions? Just look at Kamille! Kamille IS The Brickhouse. Mone understands Kris is one of the strongest, a powerhouse in this division.

But she doesn’t hold a candle to Kamille! Renee wishes Kamille luck and Mone says you don’t need luck when you’re with The CEO. Mone & Kamille head out, but who will win the battle of female titans in The Land?

Adam Cole VS Buddy Matthews!

The Panama City Playboy may be facing the Aussie Juggernaut tonight, but he’s also competing with his good friend, Roderick Strong, all in the pursuit of taking down Maxwell Jacob Friedman. Will it be all about the “BOOM!” for “ADAM COLE, BAYBAY!” tonight? Or will Buddy prove that this Adam Cole just doesn’t have it?

The bell rings and the fans fire up as Cole stares Buddy down. They step to each other, and Buddy offers a handshake. Cole takes it, the fans applaud, but Buddy’s grip is strong. They circle, tie up, and Buddy powers Cole to a corner. Buddy lets off cleanly, and the fans rally. The two tie up again, Buddy again puts Cole in a corner, and he eggs Cole on as he lets off. Buddy and Cole circle more, tie up again, and Buddy again has Cole on ropes. The ref counts, Buddy lets off, and Cole tells him to bring it! They tie up, go along ropes, but Buddy still puts Cole in a corner. Buddy lets off as the ref counts, but Cole headlocks.

Buddy powers up and out, RAMS Cole, and the fans applaud as the two stare down again. Buddy headlocks, Cole powers up and out, but Buddy RUNS Cole over! Cole sits up, Buddy raises his fist, and things speed up. Cole drops, gets around, headlocks, but Buddy powers out. They RAM shoulders again, and Buddy wants Cole to bring it! Cole runs, RAMS Buddy, and again! And again! And again! Buddy headlocks for the takeover, Cole headscissors, but Buddy kips free! Cole shows superkick and Buddy backs up! The fans cheer, and the two reset. Cole shakes out his legs, still seeing for himself if he’s really ring ready.

The two reset, knuckle lock, and Buddy shoots to a waistlock. Cole switches, Buddy switches, but Cody backs Buddy into a corner. The ref counts, Buddy pushes Cole, but then Cole runs in. Buddy goes up and over, runs back in, but Cole dodges. Cole runs up, but Buddy puts him on the apron. Each man ducks a punch, but then Buddy feints, and Cole hops off the apron, only to jam his ankle! Cole is frustrated as he walks off the pain. We see Kyle O’Reilly watching backstage, is he just as concerned about the ankle as Cole? Cole hears the count, so he takes his time to get the bad ankle feeling alright.

But Buddy goes to the apron to PENALTY KICK Cole down! The fans fire up while Cole sputters, and Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Buddy looms over Cole, then drags him up. Buddy CHOPS Cole, stalks him along the way, and brings him around. Buddy SMACKS Cole off the apron, and Cole hurries into the ring. Buddy pursues, drags Cole up, and CHOPS! Cole goes to a corner and Buddy storms over, but Cole puts him in the corner! Cole CHOPS, but Buddy wags his finger. Buddy puts Cole in the corner to CHOP! Cole goes to another corner, but he lures Buddy in again. Cole CHOPS, but Buddy CHOPS back! Buddy wrenches Cole corner to corner hard and Cole bounces off buckles! Buddy watches Cole writhe, and he storms back over to him.

Buddy stands Cole up, whips him to ropes, but Cole ducks ‘n’ dodges, only for Buddy to catch him into a SLEEPER! Buddy squeezes tight, and he leans on Cole. Cole endures, fights up, and he RAMS Buddy into a corner! Buddy holds on, so Cole RAMS Buddy into the buckles again! Buddy still holds on, Cole tries again, but Buddy sends Cole into buckles! Buddy runs up, but into a BOOT! Cole hops up, but Buddy GAMANGIRIS! Cole wobbles up top and Buddy climbs up to join him. Buddy brings Cole up, but Cole fights the suplex! Fright Night returns to single picture as Buddy CLUBS away on Cole!

Buddy brings Cole to the very top now, for a SUPER DUPER PLEX! And a roll through! But Cole suplexes first! GHOSTBUSTER! Both men are down and the fans are thunderous! Buddy goes to the apron but Cole pursues. Cole is on the apron with Buddy, and he brings Buddy up. Cole fires a forearm, but Buddy fires back! They go back and forth, but Buddy V-TRIGGERS! Cole APRON DDTS!! Buddy flops to the floor, followed by Cole. The fans fire up again while the ring count starts. Buddy and Cole stir, we hit 5 of 10, and Cole rises up. Cole rolls in at 8, but Buddy drags him back out! Cole BOOTS Buddy into barriers!

Buddy hurries up, but Cole catches Buddy into a HEATSEEKER!! Cover, TWO!! Cole using MJF’s move doesn’t win it for him, but Cole keeps his focus. The fans rally and duel, and Cole goes up a corner. Cole takes aim as Buddy rises, for the PANAMA SUN- NO Buddy stops it into an Alabama Lift! But Cole sunset flips! Buddy rolls through, to DDT Cole’s foot! And DDT it again! Then again! Cole writhes his way to the bottom rope, but Buddy rolls out. Buddy drags Cole to the corner, and he STOMPS the foot on the steel steps! And again, and again, and again! The ref reprimands, Buddy stops, and Cole flops away!

Cole clutches the ankle, Doc Sampson checks him, and Buddy waits in the ring. The fans have their own ring count, but Cole says this is not how he wants this to end. Cole is determined to win three matches to face MJF, but Doc Sampson convinces him to at least get checked in the back. Buddy taunts Cole, “When the going gets tough, you just run away? This is what I mean, Adam! This new Adam is fragile! The old Adam Cole, he wouldn’t just walk away. But the new Adam Cole, is just a little b*tch!” Cole is pissed now so he storms back  up, even with one good leg! Cole rolls in, the fans are thunderous, and the haymakers fly!

Cole ROCKS Buddy again and again, but Buddy fires the strike fest! SOBAT! KNEE! Stomp to the bad food! And again! And again! Buddy brings Cole around but Cole shoves him away. Buddy eggs Cole on, but Cole fires body shots. Cole rises, tells Buddy to take his shot, but Buddy runs up! Cole steps up and over, SUPERKICK! And SUPERKICK! Cole brings the kneepad down, but he can’t run for The Boom! V-TRIGGER! Buddy runs, CURB STOMP! Cover, TWO!?! Cole survives and Buddy is furious! The fans rally and duel as Cole goes to the apron, but Buddy tells Cole to throw in the towel then!

The ref reprimands, but Cole snarls. He throws the towel at Buddy, to SUPERKICK! And BOOT! And BLINDSIDE SUPERKICK! Cole runs but Buddy reels him in! Cole breaks free to PELE! SHINING WIZARD! Cover, TWO!! Buddy survives and Cole is stunned. The fans rally up, Cole goes to the corner and climbs up. Buddy rises, into the PANAMA- V-TRIGGER! Buddy hauls Cole up, BUCKLE BOMB!! CURB STOMP!! Winner: Adam Cole, by pinfall

That’s one win down, two more to go! Kyle nods, proud of his friend, but surely MJF is throwing a fit. Cole grabs a mic to have the music cut, and he tells Buddy, “I know what you did, and I appreciate it. You just reminded me of who the real Adam Cole is. And for that, Buddy, I thank you.” Cole offers the handshake, and Buddy takes it. The fans cheer the sportsmanship, but then the lights go out! The fans bark in anticipation, and as the lights come up, Malakai Black has switched places with Cole! The fans lose their minds, and that black paint over Malakai’s eye, has he set his eye on bringing The End to Adam Cole?

Backstage interview with Private Party and Christopher Daniels.

Renee is now with Marq Quen, Isiah Kassidy and the Interim EVP. Daniels wants to tell them that this match tonight, he and Frankie Kazarian were in this same situation three years ago. They had a ton of momentum, risked it all for a world title shot, because they thought there was no way they couldn’t be AEW World Tag Team Champions. But the night of that match, Daniels can’t lie, he let Frankie down, and that changed the relationship. Things were never the same, Kaz isn’t even here anymore. Private Party can be AEW World Tag Team Champions, but we’re still talking about The Young Bucks here.

The Bucks will do anything and everything they have to in order to stay champions. Daniels just hopes Private Party knows what they’re risking tonight. Quen tells Daniels they appreciate the words, but they’ve got this. Zay says no offense, but history will not repeat itself. Private Party will be leavin’ Cleveland the NEW AEW World Tag Team Champions. Daniels shakes their hands and Private Party heads out. Will Quen & Zay use this final shot together to finally reign together? Or will that not work for Matthew & Nicholas Jackson, brother?

The Undisputed Kingdom are with Adam Cole in medical.

Doc Sampson is checking Cole’s ankle and he says he’s good. Cole then says to camera that Buddy gave him one of the toughest matches he’s had in his entire career. And now it seems Malakai Black is on the radar. Cole is back in the fire, just how he likes it. But let us address the elephant in the room, and he means MJF. Cole’s ankle is clearly not what it used to be, it may never be the same again, but Cole doesn’t blame MJF for that. Cole does not blame MJF for shattering Cole’s ankle, or even for being a bad friend not checking up on him while he was injured. But what Cole does blame MJF for is pretending to that their friendship would ever work.

Because guys like Adam Cole and guys like MJF are meant to be enemies, not friends! Quit kidding yourself that you weren’t going to betray Cole, Max! And if you don’t believe him, Cole doesn’t need to explain himself past a few examples. In MJF’s tenure here in AEW, just look at what he did to Wardlow, to Sammy Guevara, to Daniel Garcia. If you think Cole was dumb enough to sit back and wait, you’ve got another thing coming. This isn’t Cole’s first rodeo, and MJF needed to be taught a harsh lesson. And what The Kingdom did, yeah, it was rough, mean, maybe even extreme. But DAMMIT, it needed to happen!

Because Cole gives a damn about AEW! About the AEW locker room! About the AEW fans! About what AEW was built on, what it is meant to be, and MJF was never part of that team. Cole swears to God with every fiber of his being, he will get his hands on MJF at Full Gear. Better yet, they get their hands on MJF! And when they do, Cole will be happy to teach MJF another lesson. One down, two to go. Cole and his real friends are ready, but will either Cole or Roddy make it through three matches without a loss? Or will the Wolf of Wrestling continue to worm his way out of getting what he deserves?

Kyle Fletcher & Don Callis are here!

The Don Callis Family stands on stage, and fans boo as Callis has the mic. Callis says, “Ladies and gentlemen, Kyle Fletcher has something important to say!” The mic is handed over to the Aussie Arrow, and he says he is a man of his word! Kyle Fletcher is here to call out and stand face to face with Will Ospreay. Without further ado, the man himself, the Aerial Assassin, Will Ospreay! Kyle watches for the tunnel, but no music and no Ospreay. Kyle says he is just as disappointed as the fans. He was really hoping Ospreay would show up. But this proves what- WAIT! The Aussie Open music starts?!

The fans fire up as MARK DAVIS is here! Kyle’s tag partner and friend is back in AEW! Kyle is surprised to see Mark, not the man he was expecting, but so good to see him. But then Mark denies him the hug! Mark tells Kyle to listen. Mark wishes he could look Kyle in the eyes and say the exact same thing, but Kyle is out here calling out Will when you know he’s laid up at home because of what Kyle did to him. Kyle is standing here, calling out someone that they both used to call a brother. So when Mark is here, looking at Kyle, he doesn’t even know who he is looking at! Oh, Mark doesn’t know? Mark thinks Kyle has changed?

The only thing that has happened since Mark was away is that Kyle opened his eyes to the truth! Callis helped Kyle see Ospreay for who he truly is! Ospreay never cared about Aussie Open. Ospreay kept them in his back pocket to help further his own career! So they can forget about Ospreay because Kyle is sure Ospreay forgot about Mark. BUT Kyle never forgot. Kyle knew this day would come, and made sure that when it did, Mark would always have a spot in the Don Callis Family. The fans boo but Kyle and Callis offer hugs. Mark says, “Family? Mate, we had an emipre. A United Empire, and mate, you destroyed it.”

Mark steps around Kyle and Callis, and Kyle tells Mark that before he goes, “There is going to come a day very soon where you need to make a hard decision. And I have proven before that I have no problem cutting the past loose.” The Aussie Arrow gives Dunkzilla a not so veiled threat, but what will Will Ospreay have to say about all this?

Backstage interview with Hangman Page.

Renee is now with the Blackhat Cowboy, and says last week, it was made official: Hangman Page VS Jay White at Full Gear. White had some choice words, too, saying this was Hangman’s chance at “redemption.” What are Hangman’s thoughts on that? Hangman says in July, White entered the Owen Hart Cup with his eyes dead set on the AEW World Championship. But Hangman knocked White out in the second round. White can lay the blame at Christian’s feet all he wants, but it wasn’t Christian but Hangman that hurt White so bad that White spent three MONTHS at home.

And White comes back looking for Hangman, not the title. That is a mistake. White wants to bring up their record against each other, 4-1 in White’s favor. Hangman did lose at WrestleDream, he will give White that. But now, this is White giving Hangman redemption? Hangman will make this very clear: There is no such thing as ‘redemption.” Not for White, not for Hangman. Only the now! The wins, the losses, and the consequences that follow. Hangman knows White’s strategy for Full Gear. White will go for Hangman’s leg, go Dragon Screw and Shin Breaker, but what will Hangman’s strategy be? You don’t know.

Will Hangman hit White with a chair? Will Haman strangle White and injure White’s friends while he watches? Will Hangman light White’s house? Will Hangman break White’s ankle again? One thing for sure, at the end of Full Gear, when and not if Hangman beats White, Hangman will stand over White and leave him like he has so many others to stand in front of him: Hurt with less than you had before. Hangman will leave White behind. The Cowboy heads out, will he be the one to win this shootout with the Switchblade?

The Blackpool Combat Club is backstage.

Wheeler Yuta, Pac, Claudio Castagnoli, Marina Shafir, and yes, Jon Moxley, all step inside the building. What will these five have planned for The Land tonight?

The Blackpool Combat Club heads to the ring.

Fright Night returns from break as The Maniac walks with The Problem, The Bastard, The Swiss Superman & The Decoder through the crowd and to ringside. The fans are torn as they step into the ring, and Moxley grabs a mic. Moxley says he doesn’t expect Orange Cassidy or anyone else to appreciate what this group is trying to do right now, but one day, they will understand. Freshly Squeezed came out here, and he thinks he can face Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship. The fans think Cassidy challenged Moxley for the AEW World Championship. No, Moxley challenged Cassidy!

No one just challenges the champ, that’s not how this works. Moxley challenged Cassidy when he had Chuck Taylor’s neck broken. What Moxley did is, he cut distraction and dead weight out of Cassidy’s life so that Cassidy could focus on his goals. The BCC walked into the room, basically asked who was in charge, and everybody pointed to Cassidy, “He’s our guy.” But Cassidy didn’t wanna step up and lead his people. That’s not the Cassidy that Moxley knows. That is not the Cassidy that Moxley thinks the world off. Do not catch the disease, be under the spell that so many people are under. Fat and happy with their paychecks, figments of their own imaginations, that they’re something that they’re not.

Moxley does not want that for Cassidy. Moxley has pushed Cassidy again and again, and Cassidy has not yet begun to walk through the valley. Cassidy wants Moxley at Full Gear? Tonight? Any time? Fine by Moxley. When that happens, Cassidy will not fight Moxley on the mountaintop but in the valley. And Cassidy better be ready to die, because believe Moxley, THIS valley right here is the valley Moxley is willing to die in! The fans do cheer that, at least. Moxley says Cassidy claimed no one gets hurt. A real cool customer, free from distractions, but he thinks he’s pulling the strings? We’ll see about that right now.

Moxley signals to the others, and Marina & Pac drag Yuta down?! Claudio grabs a chair! The fans boo, they’re making Yuta a sacrificial lamb just to make a point! The chair is around Yuta’s neck, but here comes Cassidy! He TACKLES Moxley! The fans fire up, but Claudio drags Cassidy off him! Pac & Moxley stomp Cassidy while Marina gets in Yuta’s face. Marina tells Yuta to join in, and so Yuta does! The fans boo Yuta as he can’t see how he is also just a pawn in this. But here comes The Dark Order! Evil Uno, John Silver & Alex Reynolds go after the BCC! The fans fire up for the brawl, but the numbers isn’t on their side!

Claudio has Reynolds, and THROWS him into railing! The bad ribs are only feeling worse, and then Claudio TOSSES Reynolds into the timekeeper’s area! Moxley beats up on Silver while Pac TOSSES Uno! Yuta has the chair that almost crushed him, and he uses it to SMACK Cassidy! Silver is sent into steel steps! Marina CHOKES Silver while Yuta SMACKS Uno with the chair! Yuta hands the chair to Pac, and Pac puts the chair around Cassidy! The fans boo as they hold Cassidy down, but DARBY ALLIN REPELS DOWN FROM THE RAFTERS!! A true student of Sting, and Darby fires off on Claudio! They brawl onto the desk, and it breaks!!

The fans are thunderous for Darby as he BITES Claudio on the head! Reynolds unhooks Darby so he can go after Claudio more! Pac and Uno brawl, Moxley isn’t sure what to make of this! Claudio TOSSES Darby back onto the desk wreckage! And he UPPERCUTS Reynolds! But Darby is back up to RAM Claudio into railing! Darby claws at Claudio, and here comes Top Flight! Dante, Darius, Action, Lio, they all help turn the tides! Claudio TOSSES Darby but Darius throws hands! Claudio THROWS Darius! But now Daniel Garcia & Private Party run out here! ORANGE PUNCH for Moxley!! Private Party gives Yuta the atomic drop and ENZIGIRI!

The BCC is in retreat because now they’re the ones outnumbered! But the brawling keeps happening! Wait, with Private Party out here, here come The Young Bucks! They don’t want to fight The BCC, but they will take advantage of having Quen & Zay here, caught unawares! Will Matthew & Nicholas look to end the party already? Or will there be no denying Quen & Zay their moment?

Quen & Zay fire up, and it’s time! Some REAL GIN & JUICE!!!! Cover, PRIVATE PARTY WINS!!!

Winners: Private Party, by pinfall (NEW AEW World Tag Team Champions)

Finally and definitively, Private Party has the gold! But then The Bucks snatch the title belts away? The fans boo, and even chant “They Deserve It!” The Bucks seem to agree, and they personally give the belts to Quen & Zay. Will this truly be a new era for the AEW Tag Team Division?

Backstage interview with Jamie Hayter and Penelope Ford.

Renee is with these two former friends turned bitter enemies ahead of their match next Wednesday. Penelope has been assured by Tony Khan that there will be no physicality here. Let’s take things back- Penelope stops Renee there to say that she has been in AEW since day one. And it seems like so many people have forgotten who she is, including Jamie. Penelope has done so much, from going through glass, barbed wire, having bamboo skewers in her head. After two YEARS away, Penelope will take what she deserves, and what Hayter took from her! Hayter says Penelope just took an opportunity away from her! And we’re talking about stuff from two years ago?!

Hayter says go ahead, Penelope. She’s lucky TK granted No Physicality. In their match? Not so much. Hayter will mop the floor with Penelope. Hayter heads out, but will Penelope make sure things go superbad for Hayter this Fall?

AEW hears from MVP and Prince Nana.

Montel Vontavious Porter tells Swerve, “I have no doubt that one day, your name will be spoken among the greats. But that’s if you come to your senses. I might be willing to have mercy on you, Shelton Benjamin won’t.” Nana fires back that MVP wanted Swerve to make a choice, and Swerve made the greatest choice of them all, by choosing himself. And tonight, Shelton finds out that Swerve is undoubtedly the most dangerous man in AEW. The Realest and The Standard of Excellence will have it out in tonight’s main event, is this one about to get scary?

The Learning Tree is on stage.

Chris Jericho smiles while Bryan Keith scowls and “Big Bill” Morrissey speaks. “As The Learning Tree always says, ‘Teamwork makes the dream work. But the dream will not work unless the team works together.'” Jericho waves and says, “Hi, guys~! And welcome to All Hallows’ Eve. That means The Night Before Halloween. Hahaha.” And last week in Ladder War, the match that The Wrestling Observer said would be remembered for a long, long time, a ladder match that THE Dave Meltzer gave four stars to, Jericho became the ROH World Champion a second team. Just like Jay Briscoe!

And that also makes Jericho a nine-time world champion, fulfilling the prophecy of him becoming The Nueve. Now, Jericho could not have done this without The Bad Apple, The Redwood, and all of his Branches watching at home, and here in Cinc- Er, Cleveland. But this is so much more than about winning the title. Jericho thinks big picture. Just like how Terrifier 3, the movie he costarred in and quarterbacked, became the number one movie in America… Just like AEW itself becoming a pro-wrestling powerhouse, with all due respect to Jon Moxley but mostly because of Jericho, Jericho will do the same for ROH.

Jericho will take ROH to the biggest stage and the biggest success it has ever seen. How will he do that? Because he is Chris Jericho and he just can. And if you are underestimating Chris Jericho, then you are overestimating your knowledge and understanding of the TV and pro-wrestling business. Keith says, “NEVER underestimate Chris Jericho, you bunch o’ dumbasses!” Jericho says what he will do is let everyone reach down between their legs, ease their seats back, and enjoy the ride. Jericho is taking ROH and all of us to places you’ve never, ever been before. Thanks, guys~!

The fans are torn, but will this new era of “Ring of Jericho” really be the biggest and brightest yet?

Anna Jay speaks.

“This business came at me fast. I was nervous, I was green, but I dove in headfirst. But I kept being told that I was missing something. That I was almost there, but not there yet. I needed to change. I am ready to be AEW Women’s World Champion. You are not ready for me.” Will Anna finally be The Star of the Show after her Collision with The Glamour?

Alex Marvez is backstage.

He is looking to talk with The Young Bucks after their loss in the tag title match, but Jack Perry steps in his way. Not a good time, Marvez. Go, get outta here. Marvez leaves, but then Garcia finds Perry. Garcia asks Perry what he was doing earlier while the others were fighting BCC. Just watching his boys lose their titles? Perry knows he’s next, right? Perry shoves Garcia and tells him to mind his own business. Garcia gets in Perry’s face and pushes him into the wall! Garcia is sick of entitled trash like Perry acting like they can do whatever they want. Perry asks Garcia, “You think you’re so special?” But Garcia just shoves Perry back into the wall!

Garcia turns that on Perry, “You think you’re so special?” Perry says, “They used to dance for me, too.” Garcia gets mad but tells Perry to get out of his face. The Scapegoat grins while Red Death leaves, and Perry enters The Elite’s locker room. They’re packing everything up as fast as they can, and… is Brandon Cutler putting stuff in the paper shredder? Matt tells Perry they gotta talk. No cameras, get outta here! Perry pushes the cameraman aside, but what is going on with The Elite?

Kris Statlander VS Kamille w/ Mercedes Mone!

The Galaxy’s Greatest is now the #BornAgainKristen, but The Brickhouse left her on The Road to Damascus last week. Will Kris show she’s still the strongest, baddest and even the scariest woman in AEW? Or will The CEO’s insurance policy keep her safe from Staturday Night Fever?

The bell rings and the two tie up. The fans rally as they’re in a deadlock. They break, and Kamille kicks low. Kamille headlocks, Kris powers up and out, but Kamille RAMS her! The fans cheer as Kris stays up. They tie up again, Kamille pulls hair but Kris pulls hair back. Kris whips, Kamille reverses, but the fans chant “C E O!” “SUCKS!” “C E O!” “SUCKS!” Kris dodges Kamille, but Kamille RUNS Kris over! Kamille fires up, but Kris kips up! Mone warns Kamille, but Kris SHOTGUNS Kamille! Kamille stays up to run up, but Kris avoids the elbow drop! The female titans reset, and then Kris eggs Kamille on.

Kamille runs in, Kris DUMPS her to the apron. Kamille stays on the apron, Kris ROCKS her, but Kamille blocks the buckle bump. Kamille ROCKS Kris, HOTSHOTS Kris, then storms in to LARIAT! Mone is pleased but the fans boo, and Kamille dribbles Kris’ face off the mat while Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Kamille keeps bouncing Kris off the buckles, and Mone soaks up the cheers and jeers for her. Kamille puts Kris through ropes to CLUB away on her! Not quite the Bodhrain but Kamille still beats Kris like a drum until the rf counts 4. Kamille then sets Kris up for MORE shots to the chest! Kamille lets off, argues with the ref, and Mone scampers over like she did with Queen Aminata last week. But this time, the ref spots her! The ref warns Mone, so Mone backs off. Kamille drags Kris up, but Kris fires body shots. Kris runs, but Kamille LARIATS her back down! Cover, TWO! Kamille is annoyed but she drags Kris up.

Kamille bumps Kris off buckles, runs her side to side to bump her off buckles, and then she runs side to side to do it again! Mone taunts Kris with the TBS Championship, and Kamille runs Kris to the fourth corner. Kris stops the buckle bump this time, and fires body shots! Kris bumps Kamille off buckles again and again, then fires off fast hands! The refs counts, Kris lets off, and Kamille runs up to BOOT Kris down! Kamille covers, TWO! Mone is annoyed and tells Kamille to stay on Kris. Kamille dribbles Kris off the mat, but Kris comes back with body shots. Kamille BOOTS Kris down, and Fright Night goes to break.

Fright Night returns from break and Kris dodges Kamille to LARIAT! Kamille stays up, so Kris runs again! Another LARIAT, but Kamille stays up! Kamille swings, Kris dodges, and SNAP POWERSLAMS! The fans fire up but Mone panics. Kris waistlocks, Kamille elbows free, but Kris dodges the boot! Fireman’s carry, F5! Cover, TWO!! Kamille survives but Kris drags her to a drop zone. Kris climbs and the fans fire up. Kris grins at Mone, but Kamille moves, the 450 FLOPS! Kamille comes back, ROUGH RYDER!! Cover, TWO!! Kris survives, but Kamille hurries to haul her up! Torture rack and TOWER HACKER BOMB!! Cover, TWO!?!

Kris survives and Mone is losing her cool. Kamille drags Kris up, gut wrenches, but Kris fights to turn things around! Kris tucks Kamille in, STATURDAY NIGHT FEVER!! Cover, Kris wins!!

Winner: Kris Statlander, by pinfall

Mone is freaking out! Her undefeated Brickhouse loses, but then Mone CLOBBERS Kris with the belt! The fans boo but Mone grabs a mic. “Kamille, get to the back. NOW!” Mone orders her muscle around, then she says, “When you want something done right, you do it yourself.” Mone sits Kris up and tells her they are not done. Will The CEO end Kris’s redemption tour with her own two hands?

The Patriarchy speaks.

Christian Cage tells Hook, “Last week, we had a bit of a misunderstanding. So what I’d like to do is extend an olive branch to you to meet The Patriarchy in the middle of the ring next week on Dynamite, and allow me to explain myself.” Captain Charisma smiles, but will the Cold-Hearted Handsome Devil not care to listen as to why Christian did what he did?

Backstage interview with The Conglomeration.

AEW returns as Renee is with Mark Briscoe, Kyle O’Reilly & Tomohiro Ishii, and she brings up Mark losing the ROH World Championship to Jericho. We all know how much that title means to Mark, and how much ROH means to him, so where does he go from here? Mark says Renee has never lied, and she’s damn right about ROH and the title meaning a hell of a lot to him. But what he wonders at this point, is when did Jericho bump his damn head to the point where he doesn’t care about his own well-being? The word of the day is “instability,” because Jericho must have a whole lot of that going on up in his brain!

Jericho obviously no longer cares about his health, because he let Jay Briscoe’s name come out his damn dirty mouth yet again! And for that, Jericho will pay! The only way Jericho ever got one up on Mark is because he’s got his boys! Well look at here! They conglomerating hard, baby! Three of y’all, three of them, what’s Kyle think? Kyle thinks the Learning Tree ain’t got no honor, so next Wednesday, a Fight Without Honor!! Mark says damn right! He loves Kyle! Wednesday, ladders, tables, chairs, batten down the hatches cuz if they ain’t, Conglomeration’s beating you with some hatches! Big Tom has his hatches ready? Ishii nods. Damn right he’s ready!

Mark says in Manchester, New Hampshire, Six Man Fight Without Honor! Let’s go, baby! RARARARA! Ishii tells Jericho in Japanese that he’s done for. Will the Learning Tree be uprooted once and for all? Or is the ROH World Championship stuck in the Jericho Vortex for good this time?

The Bucks are hurrying to the parking lot.

Matt & Nick look over their shoulders, Marvez is there to ask them why they’re leaving when the show isn’t even over yet. But then Daniels storms up to ask the same thing! Nick says they may not see eye to eye, but they all know this place is getting too chaotic. They’re outta here. Matt tells Daniels that when The Bucks came back, they wanted to change the world, to make AEW a better place, and no one else would listen to them! Now get outta their faces! They’re working from home! What? No, they need The Bucks here! What’s going on here? The Bucks drive away, but they left without Cutler and the Reeboks!

And now The BCC finds Cutler…! Moxley SLAPS the box out of Cutler’s hands, and Pac BOOTS Cutler! Daniels says stop, but Moxley grabs Daniels! Moxley has a SLEEPER on Daniels while the others beat Cutler! Marina puts Cutler’s hand on a forklift’s tire well! Daniels begs Moxley not to do this, but Claudio has a hammer! They HAMMER Cutler’s fingers!! Moxley mockingly asks where Daniels’ boys are going, things are just getting good. The BCC leaves, Daniels calls for medical! Will no one be spared in this hostile takeover?

BREAKING NEWS for Rampage!

Swerve Strickland w/ Prince Nana VS Shelton Benjamin w/ MVP!

The Realest doesn’t need anyone else getting in his business about putting the hurt on others. But The Standard of Excellence is looking to teach everyone in AEW what happens when you refuse an offer from Montel Vontavious Porter. Will AEW no longer be Swerve’s House? Or will things only get more dangerous than ever before?

The fans chant “Whose House?” “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” The bell rings and Swerve stares Shelton down, then smirks. Swerve and Shelton step up, talk a bit of smack, and then circle. They feel things out, Shelton RAMS Swerve right to a corner! Swerve avoids a lariat to CHOP, but Shelton just grins. Swerve headlocks, Shelton powers up and out, and they RAM shoulders. Neither man falls and Shelton shakes his head. So Swerve fires forearms! Swerve whips, Shelton reverses then waistlocks. Swerve fights the lift, pries at the hold, but Shelton SLAMS Swerve down! Shelton keeps on Swerve, but Swerve has the ROPEBREAK!

The ref counts, but Shelton drags Swerve back. Swerve throws an elbow but Shelton CLUBS him on the back. Shelton whips, Swerve ducks ‘n’ dodges, MVP jaws at Nana, but Swerve flips to RANA Shelton! The fans fire up, MVP coaches Shelton, and the fans still rally for “Whose House?” “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” Shelton and Swerve reset, Shelton swings but Swerve dodges. Swerve fires hands, whips, but Shelton reverses to clinch and OVERHEAD BELLY2BELLY Swerve up and out! The fans fire up, MVP likes what he sees, and Shelton goes out after Swerve. Shelton scoops Swerve, but Swerve slips free to POST Shelton!

Shelton staggers, Swerve laces an arm through the ropes! Swerve has a HANGING ARMBAR! The ref counts, Swerve SNAPS the fingers before he lets go! Shelton scrambles away while clutching his arm, but Swerve goes up the apron. Swerve kicks, but Shelton blocks to YANK Swerve down! Swerve hits the apron, then Shelton THRWOS him into railing! And into the apron! And back to railing! And then into the ring! MVP is fired up again as Shelton GOTCH LIFT SUPLEXES Swerve! Shelton snarls as he stalks Swerve. Nana coaches Swerve as he goes to the corner. Shelton runs in, but Swerve goes up and over! Swerve then 619’s Shelton in the gut!

Swerve slingshots, but into the STEP-UP KNEE! Swerve falls to the floor, MVP is there to mock him, and Dynamite goes picture in picture.

The ref checks Swerve but he’s still in this. Nana rallies the fans, MVP talks some trash, and Shelton goes out to scare Nana off. Shelton drags Swerve up, and snap suplexes him to the floor! Swerve writhes, Nana coaches him, but Shelton leaves him to the ring count. Swerve climbs onto the apron but Shelton runs to BLAST him back down! Swerve hits railing, but he hobbles his way back over. Shelton drags Swerve up to the apron, and he fires knees into Swerve! The ref reprimands, and Shelton stops. Swerve sputters as he backs away to a corner. MVP is there to just smirk at Swerve, and Shelton digs his boots in.

Nana and MVP shout at each other, and the ref reprimands everyone. Shelton goes out to scare Nana off again, then Shelton goes back to the ring. Swerve DROPKICKS Shelton down! Nana applauds and Swerve hurries to his feet. Swerve runs, but into a BACKDROP! Swerve writhes, Shelton stalks him to a corner, but Nana continues to coach Swerve. Shelton drags Swerve up and TOSSES him to the apron. Shelton KNEES Swerve in the ropes, then goes up the corner. Shelton FLYING KNEES Swerve down! Shelton clamps onto Swerve with a chinlock and grinds him down. Swerve endures, fights up, and the fans rally.

Swerve reaches for a corner, but Shelton GERMAN SUPLEXES him away! Fright Night returns to single picture and Shelton stalks Swerve again. Nana coaches Swerve but Shelton waistlocks, to GERMAN SUPLEX again! Swerve flies to the other side of the ring, and Shelton grins. Fans want that “One More Time!” and Shelton storms over to Swerve. Shelton waistlocks again, but Swerve fights the lift. Swerve pries the waistlock open, but Shelton CLUBS him for it. Shelton BACKDROPS but Swerve sunset flips! TWO, and Swerve has the legs! Swerve works to turn Shelton but Shelton fights. So Swerve rolls Shelton while Nana and MVP actually debate calmly.

Swerve has Shelton in a waistlock, O’Conner Roll, then EDDY GORDO KICK! Shelton flops onto ropes and MVP is upset now! Nana rallies the fans behind Swerve, and he says Swerve IS AEW’s most dangerous man! Swerve runs up, UPPERCUTS, then snapmares. Swerve goes up to FALLING UPPERCUT! Shelton writhes, and Swerve hits the Griddy! The fans cheer, and Swerve goes up and out to aim at Shelton, BOOT from the apron! The fans fire up as Swerve puts Shelton back in the ring. Swerve then goes up the corner, to BLINDSIDE MISSILE DROPKICK! Cover, TWO! Swerve grins as he watches Shelton rise up, and he half nelsons!

Shelton fights the rest of the turnaround, so Swerve just hits a BACKBREAKER! Swerve still wants the nelson, but Shelton breaks the grip to wrangle Swerve! KIMURA!! Swerve endures, floats, cover, TWO! Shelton lets go of the arm but he runs up on Swerve, only for Swerve to HIP TOSS him! Swerve then gator rolls Shelton into a facelock, but Shelton suplexes first! The fans are torn but Shelton grins. Nana coaches Swerve, but Shelton watches him. Shelton runs up, no Paydirt! Somersault and- NO, Shelton just stuffs Swerve’s flatliner! Shelton tucks Swerve, DDT! Cover, TWO!! Swerve survives but MVP still gloats to Nana.

The fans rally up as both Swerve and Shelton rise. Shelton reels Swerve in and waistlocks, but Swerve uses the British Escape to then ROCK Shelton with a right! Both men catch their breath, then stand up tall. Swerve mule kicks! And HAYMAKERS! But Shelton ROCKS Swerve! Shelton winds up but Swerve mule kicks the kicking leg! Shelton falls, Swerve runs up, HOUSE CALL!! Swerve has the fans back on his side and he goes up top! 450 SPLASH! Cover, TWO! And Shelton has the waistlock! GERMAN SUPLEX! Shelton aims as Swerve flounders, STEP-UP KNEE in the corner!

Shelton gloats, but Swerve somersault FLATLINERS!! Both men are down and The Land is thunderous! They cheer on “A E DUB! A E DUB!” for making this main event happen. MVP shouts at Shelton to get up, Nana coaches Swerve, and it is Swerve who stands first. Swerve climbs the corner, but Shelton springs up after him! Shelton has Swerve, but Swerve slips under! Swerve brings Shelton out, for a POWERBOMB!! Then Swerve hops right back up the corner! KILL STOMPS!! Cover, SWERVE WINS!

Winner: Swerve Strickland, by pinfall

An instant classic for the first-ever Fright Night Dynamite, and wait, is MVP getting out his phone? MVP makes a quick call, but to who? Swerve is back on the winning track, will he make his way to some gold? WAIT! The lights blink out for a second, and now… timpani drums?! BOBBY LASHLEY IS HERE!?! Mighty is he, and now he is All Elite! The fans go wild as Lashley steps into the ring with MVP to stare down Nana & Swerve. Shelton gets up, Swerve steps to him, so Shelton backs off, and Lashley CLOBBERS Swerve! MVP JAMS Nana with the cane! The fans are torn as the Hurt Syndicate mug Swerve & Nana!

MVP says Nana did this! Shelton feeds Swerve to the MILE HIGH SPINEBUSTER! Lashley throws off his jacket, and then makes Swerve watch Shelton BOOT Nana down! Then, THE HURT LOCK!! Swerve is passing out already! Referees rush out here but Shelton & MVP will not let them in! Security steps in, SUPERKICK from Shelton! MVP DECKS the other guy! Shelton TOSSES another guard, and Lashley finally lets Swerve go to throw hands on the security! As if BCC doing what they want wasn’t bad enough, The Syndicate TOSSES security all around, and MVP even swings his cane!

MVP grabs a mic as he stands over Swerve & Nana. “Guess who’s back in business!” The fans cheer for that at least! Will AEW not know what hit them now that Lashley is here?

My Thoughts:

A great episode of Dynamite here. Not so much “Fright Night” because other than the aesthetics (very good Halloween decorations on the stage), there was nothing Halloween themed about tonight. None of the matches were given Halloween stipulations, and almost no one dressed up for tonight. I do appreciate Jamie Hayter being Daphne Blake from Scooby-Doo. And she had a good promo with Penelope but it added nothing new. Their match next week will be really good but unless Penelope cheats, Hayter is gonna win. Good promo from Patriarchy to call out Hook, but honestly, why not just wait until next week to do this same thing in the ring? Filler for sure.

Good promo from Anna Jay but it didn’t add much to the hype on her match with Mariah May. On the flipside, Hangman’s promo warning Jay White was good stuff and is a proper response to White’s promo from last week. That Full Gear match is going to be awesome for sure. Very good stuff with Kyle Fletcher and Mark Davis, mostly on getting to see Mark Davis again. Mark calling out Kyle for the usual Heel “call out someone you know can’t respond” move was good, and if Mark’s return match is against Kyle, that’d be pretty big stuff. And if Kyle does look to attack with a screwdriver, that could be a great moment for Ospreay to return and make a save.

Great opening match from Cole VS Buddy, Cole was of course beating Buddy, and the bad ankle was a good detail, but I feel like the fans could sense how over the top it was to see Cole “fighting through the pain.” There were a lot more chants for Buddy throughout the match, because to be fair, Buddy does deserve his own chance in the singles division. But what a well done switcheroo with the handshake where Malakai was there when the lights turned on. Cole VS Malakai is going to be awesome, but I hope we see Roddy get going on his three match challenge with Rampage or Collision. As for Cole’s backstage promo, it is also a bit of a patch job on how this story is continuing, but Cole still nailed everything he said anyway.

Very good promo from Mone before Kamille VS Kris, and Kamille VS Kris was a great match. Kris of course wins because she is going to face Mone for the TBS Championship, that is going to be a great match for Full Gear. Very good promo from the Learning Tree trio to tease that perhaps Jericho gets ROH a TV deal, like TruTV or maybe TNT if Rampage disappears. The Conglomeration had a great response, I really like the Fight Without Honor made for next week, that’ll be awesome stuff. I just hope Jericho’s ROH title reign is over sooner rather than later. Jericho can still do stuff in the ring, but I feel like there’s still enough heat from the fans where Jericho would really only annoy everyone who takes the time to watch ROH TV.

Great promo from MVP and Nana to hype up tonight’s main event, and what an awesome main event. Swerve gets a great win, but what a great surprise that Bobby Lashley is finally All Elite. Great brawl to take us to the end, and you could clearly hear someone calling out how many seconds were left. MVP’s closing line was great, this might be one of the better closing moments for a Dynamite this year. Hurt Syndicate continuing where Hurt Business left off is going to be a lot of fun, can’t wait to see Swerve VS Lashley at like Full Gear to then send the winner towards a title.

And of course, great stuff all throughout the night with this ongoing BCC hostile takeover, emphasis on “hostile” tonight. I loved Cassidy interrupting the opening video, which was looking pretty good from what we got. And Cassidy had a great promo that was very serious for Cassidy, yet still very much Orange Cassidy style. Moxley’s response promo was great, and poor Yuta is just being bullied into doing this stuff. Cassidy making the save for Yuta, only for Yuta to not appreciate it, good stuff. After what Yuta said last week, he sure has no choice in this, but the rest of the group might be a little too into what they’re doing. Them crushing Cutler’s fingers was definitely sadistic.

The brawl that ensued was great, and I loved Darby flying in like Sting. It was a little confusing at first seeing something pink drop in but then I remembered Darby’s got that pink hoodie now. Anyway, The Bucks using the brawl of BCC and “Team AEW” to get their tag match started was good stuff, and that title match was PPV level. I still say WrestleDream should’ve been the place Private Party won, but hey, at least Private Party won the titles at all. Great promo with Perry and Garcia, I like that Garcia pretty much had Perry dead to rights until Perry references the dance and the fans being fickle.

And what a great bit of The Elite not just packing in a panic but destroying documents or whatever. As I’ve said, this is very Rated R action movie, and this is like throwing in a corporate/government corruption story to it. The Elite want to hide something from the others before The BCC use it against them and truly take over AEW. And of course The Bucks act like they were right all along. A very “Thanos Was Right” or whatever kind of trope, but still appreciated. We’ve all been wondering for a month or so now if Shane McMahon was going to get in on this story, and I feel like this detail would be the best opening for that.

My Score: 8.9/10
