The bell rings and the fans rally as Mark and Butcher circle. The fans chant for “DEM BOYS! DEM BOYS!” as Mark and Butcher tie up. Butcher powers Mark back but Mark puts him in a corner. Mark lets off, Butcher storms out and the two circle. They tie up, Butcher powers Mark into a corner, but lets off as the ref counts. Butcher swings, Mark dodges to CHOP, ROCK, and repeat! Mark bumps Butcher off buckles, stomps him again and again, then REDNECK KUNG-FU UPPERCUTS! The fans fire up, and Mark whips. Butcher reverses, but Mark goes up and out! Mark blocks the haymaker to ROCK Butcher back!

The fans fire up and Mark eggs Butcher on. Mark RAMS into Butcher, DUMPS him out, then builds speed to DIVE! Direct hit and Butcher is sent into barrier! The ref checks Butcher while Mark high-fives the front row. Butcher sputters, he’s somehow still in this, but Mark stands him up to RKF UPPERCUT! And CHOP! The fans rally, Mark UPPERCUTS again, then he puts Butcher in. Mark goes up a corner, Butcher rises, and Mark MISSILE DROPKICKS! Butcher staggers to a corner, Mark stomps a mudhole in. Mark snapmares Butcher, clamps on a chinlock, and he squeezes tight. The fans cheer Mark on while Butcher endures.

Butcher fights up but Mark fires hands! Butcher RKF UPPERCUTS again! And then Redneck Crane KICK! Butcher goes to a corner, Mark storms up again, and he CHOPS! And CHOPS! Mark brings Butcher up, winds up, and he CHOPS again! Mark reels Butcher in, underhooks, but Butcher wrenches out to lift, and he BUCKLE BACK SUPLEXES! Butcher gets moving, and LARIATS Mark down! Cover, TWO! The fans rally up, but Butcher digs his boots into Mark at the corner! The ref counts, Butcher steps off, and Butcher dares fans to come at him. Butcher stalks Mark, drags him up, and CLUBS him on the back. Butcher puts Mark in a corner to CHOP! And CHOP again! Butcher winds up to CHOP! But that wakes Mark up! Butcher TOSSES Mark out, then soaks up heat. The ring count starts but Butcher goes right out to BOOT Mark! Butcher CHOPS Mark against railing, then stalks him around the way. Mark goes to more railing, and Butcher CHOKES him on the edge! Butcher lets off to storm around, and Mark takes a seat. Butcher storms up to CHOP Mark again! Butcher brings Mark around to SMACK off the steel steps! Mark leans against the apron but Butcher pushes him into the ring. Butcher storms up the steps and lines up a shot. Butcher steps off at 4, but he drags Mark up to snapmare. Rampage returns to single picture as Butcher clamps on a chinlock. The fans rally as Mark endures the squeeze now. Mark fights up, fires body shots, and he is free! Mark fires mores hots, runs, ducks ‘n’ dodges, then ROCKS Butcher with a forearm! Butcher stays up to drop step, half nelson, but Mark breaks free to PELE! Butcher goes to the corner and the fans fire up! Mark runs up, jukes Butcher, and CLOBBERS him! And CLOBBERS him again! Mark runs corner to corner to forearm SMASH! Mark whips corner to corner, runs in again, but Butcher BOOTS him! Butcher goes up, but Mark UPPERCUTS! Mark fireman’s carries?! And he manages a ROLLING DEATH VALLEY DRIVER! The fans fire up as Mark climbs a corner! Mark says this is it! FROGGY- NO, Butcher moves! Butcher comes back, half nelson and BACKBREAKER! Solo calls a knuckle lock, but then SOBATS! Solo smirks, pump handles, but Kyle fights with elbows. Kyle KICKS Solo down! Kyle wrenches an arm to then KNEE ELBOW VICE, and then he hammerlocks it. Kyle wrangles Solo to the mat, KNEES the arm, then floats over to KNEE Solo in the side! Kyle runs to SLIDING KNEE into Solo’s back! Kyle fishhooks Solo’s nose, but lets go as the ref counts. Backstage interview with Jamie Hayter.

Renee Paquette is with the former AEW Women’s World Champion and says she is very familiar with having a target on her back. That was apparently the case last week in the Fatal 4 Way with Penelope Ford making her return just to attack Hayter. Why does Hayter think Ford went after her? Hayter says Renee’s guess is as good as hers. Hayter wants to say this: Women in this company are all backstabbing b*tches. Sorry, just stating fact. But Hayter came back to do two things specifically. One: Right the wrongs. Two: Win back HER AEW Women’s World Championship.

Hayter tells Penelope, “You are getting in my way and sticking your nose in my business. Speaking of business, all of this has got me hot and riled up, so I’m in the mood to fight. I’m gonna be at Collision, will you? See you there.” Hayter heads out, will Mrs. Superbad take that open challenge as her chance to go after Hayter again?

They tie up, Anna waistlocks, but Adora switches. Anna booty bumps free, and Adora says okay. They tie up, Adora wrenches, and Adora snapmares into a motorcycle stretch! Adora steps over to do the splits and bounce on Anna! The fans cheer, and Adora hooks the arms to then rolling cradle! TWO, Anna stands, but Adora wrenches her arm. Anna wrenches back, wristlocks, and Anna steps over to HIP ATTACK! Anna smiles, then snap suplexes!

Backstage interview with Harley Cameron.

Renee is now with the crazy Aussie and brings up that Harley now has a match against Kris Statlander on Collision. But we do need to address the elephant in the room: Where is Saraya? Harley says Saraya is still “incapacitated.” What? For how long?! Harley says she doesn’t know, for as long as she’s going to be incapacitated for! But Harley is not incapacitated, Renee is not incapacitated, but Saraya is! So then where does that leave Harley? Harley wonders that, too. Oh, wait, she has a lot to offer! She can sing, she can wrestle, she can do ventriloquism. Harley’s literal hand puppet says, “Yeah, you can say that again.” Not bad, actually.

And bonus: Harley speaks Chinese. Really? Harley complains in Mandarin, so bingo, she speaks Chinese. But see, Harley is facetted. MULTI facetted even. So therefore, Harley is a woman-trepeneur! She made that up just now. Sure did. But then let’s talk Kris Statlander, the former TBS Champion. How prepared does Harley feel for her? Harley scoffs and says she doesn’t have to get ready, she IS ready. Harley Cameron is VERSATILE! WrestleDream was anything but for these two teams. Marq Quen & Isiah Kassidy fought The Young Bucks as hard as they ever have before but could not take the AEW World Tag Team Championships from them. Mansoor & Mason Madden had far less noble intentions when they tried to tear down The Acclaimed and end scissoring for good. But one team will certainly rebound from that night. Will Private Party be ready for Dynamite and the Premier Athletes? Or will the Iron Chic & Mahogany Hunk strut their stuff up the tag division ranks?

The teams sort out and Quen starts against Mansoor. They circle, tie up, and go around. Mansoor wrenches to wristlock and ELBOW BREAKER! The fans duel as Mansoor clamps on a cording hold and mount. Quen rolls, wrenches, and wristlocks. Mansoor moves around, rolls, handsprings, and cartwheels to break free, and POSE! The fans cheer, but Quen spins Mansoor to SHOVE him down! Mansoor doesn’t understand why Quen’s upset and he tags Mason. Mason asks what happened to the shots! They thought Private Party was cool. Quen tags Zay, Zay and Mason circle, and then Zay dodges Mason.

Zay kicks a leg, clamps on a headlock, but Mason powers out. Zay SHOULDER TACKLES, but Mason doesn’t budge! Mason smirks, but Zay gets around to waistlock. Mason SLINGS Zay off, then strikes a POSE! The fans cheer again, but Zay CALF KICKS! Mason staggers, Mansoor tags in, but Zay strikes a POSE! Mansoor has Mason cool down, runs up on Zay, but Zay dodges to arm-drag! Zay grinds the arm, digs a knee into Mansoor’s head, but Mansoor fights up. Tag to Quen, Private Party mug and double whip Mansoor, to then DOUBLE FLAPJACK! Private Party double kip up, but Mason storms in!

Quen drop toeholds but Mason stays up! Zay runs to BULLDOG Mason down! Private Party sets up with Mansoor in the corner, PARTY IN MOTION! Zay then sets up so Quen can AFTERPARTY IN MOTION! Quen puts Mansoor in the drop zone but Mason storms up. Quen ROCKS Mason, but Mansoor SHOVES Quen down! Quen hits railing on the way down! The fans are torn while Quen is down in a heap! Mason tags in, Mansoor puts Quen in, and Mason scoops! CATWALK SLAM! The fans fire up as MXM POSE! Cover, TWO! Mason keeps Quen from Zay while Rampage goes picture in picture.

Mason throat chops Quen to a corner! The ref reprimands but Mason fires body shots on Quen. Mason steps back as the ref reprimands again, and Mason stands Quen up. Mason CHOPS, Quen sputters, but Mason stays between Private Party. Mason brings Quen over, CLUBS him down, then tags Mansoor. MXM mugs Quen, and Mansoor CLUBS Quen again. Mansoor stomps Quen around, taunts Zay with a Jeff Hardy dance, but Quen comes back to CHOP! Mansoor DECKS Quen! Mansoor stomps away at the ropes but stops as the ref counts. Mansoor and the ref argue, but that lets Mason get a cheap shot in!

Mansoor slides out, drags Quen out, and sends him into railing! Mansoor puts Quen back in, drags him over, and tags Mason. Mason runs to drop a BIG elbow! Cover, Zay breaks it! Mason is frustrated, but he stomps Quen in the stomach. Mason digs his boot in, Quen’s shoulders are down so it’s a cover, TWO! Mason has the legs to turn Quen over, into a LIONTAMER! Jericho probably appreciates that, wherever he is right now. Quen fights, Mason still has a Half Crab, then he tags Mansoor. Mansoor basement DROPKICKS! Cover, TWO! Quen stays in this but Mansoor CLUBS him down. Tag to Mason and MXM drags Quen up.

MXM double whip, to DOUBLE ELBOW, and then they POSE! Then they hold hands to DOUBLE ELBOW DROP! Cover, TWO! Mason drags Quen up to tag Mansoor back in, and Mansoor snapmares Quen into a chinlock and chicken wing. Quen endures, fights up, but Mansoor throws him down by his hair! Mansoor shifts his grip on the chicken wing, but Rampage returns to single picture. The fans rally again and Quen fights back up. Quen pries free, kicks low, and kicks again. But Mansoor RAMS him into the corner! Quen still fights back, fires elbows on Mason then ROCKS Mansoor.

Quen runs, but Mason gets a cheap shot in! The ref reprimands but Mansoor feeds Quen to Mason to suplex. Mansoor is there, and they DRAG THE LAKE! Cover, Zay breaks it! MXM is frustrated, but Mason CLUBS Quen on the back. Tag to Mansoor, and Mansoor has a FULL NELSON! Quen endures as Mansoor thrashes him around. The fans rally up, Quen powers up, and Quen opens the hold enough to slip down and victory roll! TWO, and Mansoor hurries to get between Quen and Zay! Quen reaches out, but Mansoor THROWS him away! Quen DROPKICKS Mason, dodges Mansoor, hot tag to Zay!

The fans fire up as Zay dodges Mansoor to triangle jump STUNNER Mason! Zay rallies on Mansoor with LARIAT after LARIAT! The fans fire up with Zay and he whips Mansoor. Mansoor holds ropes, then he DUMPS Zay out! Mason is there but Zay DROPKICKS him again! Mason stumbles off the apron, Zay dodges Mansoor to GAMANGIRI! Zay FLYING FLATLINERS Mason to the floor! But first is a Collision with The Premier Athletes. Will Quen, Zay & Daniel Garcia tear through Tony Nese, Ariya Daivari & Josh Woods before going after The Elite?

My Thoughts:

A great Rampage, better than usual because they kept this to just four matches, no shoving a fifth match that was just filler or squash. And also, we got some great story progress with every segment. Great promos from Undisputed Kingdom, Shane Taylor Promotions, and Gates of Agony to hype up their Triple Threat Tag for next week. Plus, Gates of Agony gave us great perspective on all these changes in who was with them, managers and wrestlers alike. In many cases, some rather odd booking choices, and in others, just some inexplicable ends to stories. As I was talking about on Dynamite, Tony Khan just seems to accidentally end up in these work-shoot angles because he just can’t seem to keep track of everything.

Good promo from Hayter to call out Penelope Ford, but I’m pretty sure she isn’t facing Penelope on Collision, that open challenge will be answered by someone else. Hayter will win, Penelope will attack her after that, and then we’ll see their match later on. Also a good promo from Deonna & Taya, but we should be seeing them in action by now. I know the titles are tied up in stories but Deonna & Taya need to be building win streaks and momentum so they can challenge champions on the other side of Full Gear. And good promo from Harley, but she’s still not doing much on AEW. She has an ROH rivalry building with Rachael Ellering, but nothing on AEW without Saraya being around.

Great match out of Anna VS Adora, and Mariah was good on commentary again. Anna of course wins to have momentum going into the Title Eliminator, and Mariah is certainly confident, so I’d love if Anna gets a quick pin win to earn a title match for Full Gear. That gives them time to build the feud, as well as open up opportunities for Mina Shirakawa to return to get that part of the story going again. It might be the silver lining of the slow pacing in the AEW Women’s Division, because Mina’s schedule needs to line up with AEW’s so we can have this story play out. It was doing well before All In and All Out but now it’s grinding the gears.

Great stuff with The Conglomeration members to build many things at once. Briscoe VS Butcher was good, but it was a little scary when Butcher got folded from taking that dive with his head. Good win for Briscoe to go into his match with Jericho, and then Kyle VS Solo was very good for Solo’s return to AEW TV. Kyle also wins, and him calling out Okada for a Continental Championship match is great. I would hope Briscoe beats Jericho, because we don’t need The Nueve here. And while it’d be wild for Kyle to beat Okada, that’s probably not happening.

Great tag team main event, the fans loved both teams, and great win for Private Party. Again, they should’ve won at WrestleDream, but at least they pivoted by poking fun at the politicking Hulk Hogan used to do. Private Party & Daniel Garcia will of course win against Premier Athletes on Collision, but their match with The Elite for Dynamite probably ends up a loss. Private Party literally just beat The Elite when teamed with Shibata, they can’t just redo that. Well, okay, they could, but it’d be dumb to do it. Private Party should’ve just won at WrestleDream, they better win the next time they face The Bucks, but it feels like they won’t with them building a story with Stokely.
