Renee Paquette is with the Switchblade, and says she wants to talk the newfound alliance he seems to have with Adam Copeland. Yeah, he made it just in time for the show, luckily they’re close to the airport. But that new relationship, that’s building in real time before our very eyes. There is no real history between him and “Cope,” but there is something there for him and FTR. They haven’t always seen eye to eye, but the last time they spoke, White said that to fight the Death Riders, he’d need to rely on those he usually wouldn’t. Now he must rely on FTR and the Rated R Superstar, Adam Copeland.
Because the Death Riders, they always seem to have the numbers. Well, speaking of, the Death Riders storm up on White! White wants them all to hold on a minute, let’s get a head count. Because up behind the Death Riders is Rated FTR! White shows that it is all right on time! And the brawl is on! White has Moxley while Rated FTR brawls with the AEW World Trios Champions! These eight throw hands as they move further backstage! Moxley sends White into road cases, but White hits back! Moxley RAMS White, the rest of the fighting is closer to gorilla now, and spilling out to ringside! The fans fire up as Cash sends Pac into railing!
Cash then brings The Bastard around to send into the side of a tunnel! Part of it chips off! Pac gets up to kick back, the brawling continues, and now we’re at the ring! The fans fire up as Cope RIPS Claudio’s shirt off to fire hands! Moxley and White brawl among the fans, and Moxley DUMPS White over railing. Dax beats Yuta down, Cope DUMPS Claudio over barriers, and White fires hands on Moxley! Yuta sends Dax into steel steps, but White sends Moxley into some! White and Moxley end up in the ring, but Yuta hurries in. White catches Yuta for a BLADERUNNER! But then Moxley has White! White clinches, Pac BOOTS him!
Dax storms in, Pac SOBATS Dax, runs, but Dax avoids the dropkick! Cash joins in, SHATTER MACHINE for Pac! Claudio drags Dax out, and SWINGS him into railing! Cash BLASTS Claudio, then DIVES into an UPPERCUT! Moxley calls to his Death Riders and they all mug White! The fans boo but Moxley tells White he can go to hell, because he doesn’t stand for anything! But Cope is up! Claudio saves Moxley to take the SPEAR! Moxley stays back, the Death Riders regroup, and now they’re in retreat. ATL cheers on Cope, and Cope tells Moxley, “I don’t know if you can hear it, but these folks here are chanting one name.”
So then, Moxley, what’s your answer? You still got a set of nuts? Is he accepting the challenge for the AEW World Championship at Revolution? Moxley storms back up to ringside, but only so far as to grab a mic and say, “You deserve nothing, you get nothing, the answer is ‘no.'” The fans boo but then White shouts at Moxley! White tells Moxley he has an offer for him! White can make Moxley Breathe with the Switchblade while drowning in a pool of his own blood! Moxley & Claudio VS White & Cope, ANYTHING GOES in a Brisbane Brawl, Grand Slam: Australia!! The fans like the sound of that! Will Cope & White make things Rated R when AEW goes down under?

After being called out by Buddy Matthews twice, Kazuchika Okada wants to prove “I not b*tch!” The Rainmaker is giving the Aussie Juggernaut his shot at the Continental Championship, but will he deny Buddy the hometown victory? Or will Buddy be the one to make it reign?
Will Ospreay VS ??? w/ Don Callis!
While the Aerial Assassin is going to be taking on Konosuke Takeshita & Kyle Fletcher alongside Kenny Omega in Brisbane, it would seem the newest member of the Don Callis Family wants to fight him first! But just who is it? Callis makes his way out here with a mic to say, “Ladies and gentlemen, I have a very important announcement to make.” The fans chant, “F Don Callis!” but Callis says the opponent for Ospreay tonight is a man he knows very well! A man he called his brother! Ladies and gentlemen, it’s MARK DAVIS! Ospreay is completely shocked! Davis was last scene trying to knock sense into Kyle Fletcher! How did Callis get Davis on his side?
That mystery aside, the bell rings, and the fans chant “YOU SOLD OUT!” at Dunkzilla. Ospreay gets in Davis’s face, pushes him, then SLAPS him! Davis CHOPS Ospreay right back! And CHOPS him again! And again! The fans boo but Ospreay puts Davis in the corner to CHOP, CHOP, and CHOP! Ospreay whips, Davis cartwheels and scoops Ospreay to SLAM him! But Ospreay avoids the senton, then basement DROPKICKS! The fans fire up for Ospreay and he CLUBS Davis on the neck. Ospreay fires forearms, then UPPERCUTS! Ospreay whips, Davis reverses, but Ospreay KICKS in return! Ospreay then dodges a lariat, but runs into a BACKDROP!
The fans boo but Davis soaks it up. Davis runs up on Ospreay in a corner to LARIAT! Ospreay sits down, Davis runs and SLIDING FOREARMS! Ospreay clutches his jaw, Davis covers, TWO! Davis drags Ospreay up to scoop and SLAM! Davis looms over Ospreay, then drags him up. Davis wrenches and CHOPS Ospreay, then CHOPS again! Davis CHOPS Ospreay off his feet, and now SENTONS down on him! Cover, TWO! Davis brings Ospreay up to suplex high and hard! Ospreay clutches his back but Davis KICKS him! Ospreay goes to a corner, but Davis CHOPS again! Ospreay fires forearms and the fans rally up, only for Davis to CLAW Ospreay’s face!
Davis reels Ospreay in, puts him up top, and then throws sumo style palm strikes! Ospreay sputters, the fans rally, but Davis climbs up. Davis brings Ospreay to the very top, but Ospreay fires body shots! Ospreay sends Davis down, then springboards, PIP PIP CHEERIO! Direct hit and Davis bails out, but Ospreay kips up! Atlanta fires up but Callis coaches Davis while Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Ospreay aims, but Davis hurries up to HOTSHOT him first! Ospreay staggers away and Davis soaks up heat while going around the outside. Davis storms up the steel steps to get back in the ring, and he brings Ospreay up, only for Ospreay to KICK, KICK, and KICK! Ospreay whips, Davis reverses, but Ospreay wheelbarrows and steps through! Ospreay has the legs for a FIGURE FOUR! Davis endures and tries to pry the hold open, but Ospreay slaps the trapping leg back down! Davis grits his teeth but his shoulders are down for a cover! TWO, and Davis crawls backwards. Davis drags Ospreay along, and manages the ROPEBREAK!
Ospreay lets the hold go, then he grabs the legs, only for Davis to BOOT him away! Both men scramble to their feet, and Davis CHOPS Ospreay! And CHOPS him again! Ospreay blocks the next, then wrenches the arm to grab the leg! SHIN BREAKER, then a leg sweep! Ospreay steps through again, and it’s back to the FIGURE FOUR! Davis endures all over again, but he powers up to turn things over! Now Ospreay endures, and he crawls his way to the ROPEBREAK! The hold is undone, and both men slowly rise. Ospreay fires a forearm, Davis fires a CHOP, and Dynamite goes to break.
Dynamite returns as Davis soaks up heat. Davis storms up on Ospreay to CHOP! And CHOP! But Ospreay CHOPS, CHOPS, and CHOPS! Davis shoves Ospreay to then CHOP LARIAT in the corner! Davis bumps Ospreay off buckles, then reels him in for a DRAGON SUPLEX! Ospreay goes flying, and then Davis adds a KNEE! Davis isn’t done with Ospreay, he pulls on the arms to then KNEE DROP! Cover, TWO! The fans fire up as Ospreay survives, but Davis reels him in. Ospreay grabs a leg to CLUB it! Ospreay runs, but into a CHOP! Davis whips, Ospreay handsprings, and NEURALIZER KICK! The fans fire up as Davis goes down!
Davis goes out to the ramp, but Ospreay fires the fans up more! “BRUV! BRUV! BRUV!” Ospreay takes aim to PLANCHA! Down goes Davis again and Ospreay high-fives Atlanta! Ospreay storms back up on Davis, puts him in the ring, then goes up the corner. Ospreay springboards, but Davis catches him! Fireman’s carry and- NO, Ospreay slips free to SUPERKICK! Ospreay swats the lariat to HOOK KICK! Ospreay then springboards, OSCUTTER! Cover, TWO! Davis survives, and Callis was almost in the ring to stop it! The fans boo Callis, Callis tells them to shut up, but Ospreay throws the elbow pad away!
Ospreay aims, runs up, but Davis LARIATS first! Ospreay stays up, and he fires a flurry of palm strikes! But Davis LARIATS again! Ospreay stumbles, Davis hops on, SATELLITE PILEDRIVER?! Cover, TWO!!! Ospreay survives that wild attack, but Davis snarls as he goes to a corner. Davis RIPS a buckle pad away! The fans boo but Davis storms back up on Ospreay. Davis drags Ospreay up, but the ref notices the bare buckle! The ref wont’ let Davis get that one! The ref and Davis argue, Ospreay HIDDEN BLADES!! Cover, Ospreay wins!!
Winner: Will Ospreay, by pinfall
Callis wanted Dunkzilla to be his “Ospreay Killer,” but the underhanded tactic did not work out! As for Ospreay, he grabs a mic to say, “Oh, yes, bruv! Atlanta! Oh my God, it’s like a little party in here, right? And Don. Seeing as you like to crash the party and you’re a little bit of a party pooper, I’ve got a new best friend back there who I’m teaming up with in Australia Grand Slam.” The fans chant for “KENNY! KENNY!” and here he comes! Callis is already panicking! Callis finds his way out into the crowd to run away as Omega makes his way down to the ring. Omega stands with Ospreay as the fans cheer him on.
Omega says, “Now, we’ve been here a couple times now, but I don’t remember a reception quite like that. So thank you very much, Atlanta.” Omega says this was meant to be a celebration for Ospreay, but Omega must get this off his chest. Omega tells Davis that man to man, Omega has no clue what Ospreay has on him, but trust Omega. Even though it might be scary, even though it might seem hopeless, help is there, and there are people you can trust. The fans cheer that. Omega says in a little over a week, Omega makes his AEW in-ring return with Grand Slam: Australia. But listening to these voices made him get that itch so he had to come out here in person, if they don’t mind.
The fans cheer more, and now Kyle and Konosuke storm out here! Callis tells them to stand down, they still have their tag match with Brody King & Buddy Matthews. Omega tells them all that they’ve done this song ‘n’ dance already. If the Callis Family wants this right here, right now, then go ahead. Omega’s an EVP again, they’ve got nothing but time. But if not… Then Omega suggests they pack their bags, hop on a jet, train, and get ready for Brisbane, Australia! Grand Slam, Ospreay & Omega VS Fletcher & Takeshita! It has been a long time since people could really feel what Omega was feeling in 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023!
And now that Omega is BACK here in 2025, all the fans will get to feel the exact same things! Next week, it won’t just be a match for fun or to prove they’re better. This is the match to prove that the future of AEW lies not with those cowering on the ramp, but those right here in this ring! The fans cheer, and Omega says it may have been almost a year, but if they know the words, say it with him. He must bid you adieu, so goodbye, MWAH! And goodnight, BANG! Pyro goes off, and even Omega is surprised! But will it be no surprise when the Best Bout Bruvs bring down Don Callis’ cronies?

Atlanta chants along, “We Hurt~ People!” as Montel Vontavious Porter and the NEW AEW World Tag Team Champions, Bobby Lashley & Shelton Benjamin, make their way to the ring. MVP makes sure to say hey to Westside Gunn as he hangs out ringside. MVP then grabs a mic to say, “Ladies and gentlemen, ATLiens, and the AEW viewing audience, this is an official announcement from the Hurt Syndicate. Right now, I need everybody to stand on their feet and respect for the Standard of Excellence, Shelton Benjamin, The All Mighty, Bobby Lashley, your NEW AEW World Tag Team Champions!” The fans do stand and cheer, and MVP says that sounds good.
MVP says he’ll keep this short and sweet because they have to hop on the jet and head to New Orleans for the Super Bowl. MVP has to give props to Private Party. Two young, talented athletes with a very bright future, but they were just the wrong people in the wrong place at the wrong time. It was not their fault that they had to face the most devastating duo in ALL of pro-wrestling today! And MVP would like to put everyone else on notice: If you are an AEW athlete, if you are a champion, get ready. Because when the Hurt Syndicate chooses to come see you, they will hurt you and take your title!
But until that time, they’re open for business. And if you would like an opportunity to face them for the tag team championships, then- Wait. That music… “By order of the Bang Bang Gang… GUNNS UP!” Austin & Colten are here! But Lashley & Shelton don’t even bother looking at them, even as Austin & Colten walk down the ramp. Austin has the mic to say they mean no disrespect. But if they’re businessmen, then Austin & Colten would like to talk business. MVP says they don’t look like businessmen, and certainly aren’t dressed like it, but MVP says they’re at least conducting themselves as men, so go ahead. Step up and state your business.
Austin & Colten join the Hurt Syndicate in the ring, and Austin says before getting to the business, Gunns Up for the Atlanta Gold Members~! And to properly introduce themselves, they are The Gunns, former AEW World Tag Team Champions. They have been waiting TWO YEARS to get a rematch, and the only reason The Hurt Syndicate has those titles now is because Austin & Colten have been gone. But guess what? They’re back, baby! Colten says, “Oh, you guys hurt~ people~? Well, congrats on doing your jobs. That’s kinda what this business is about. But now it’s time for us to do our job, which is take back our tag team titles!”
MVP says he’ll tell them what. He appreciates the moxie and respects the courage. But he also respects their father, and if not for that, these two monsters would’ve already choked the Gunns out. But MVP is about business. He shakes hands with the Gunns, and says next week, for the AEW World Tag Team Championships, it’ll be the Hurt Syndicate VS the Ass Boys. The Syndicate moves on, and Austin says, “Ass Boys? Hey, Ass Boys? Y’know what? YOU GADDAMN RIGHT WE ARE! And if you’re not down with that, we got two words for ya! GUNNS UP!!” Austin & Colten no longer let words hurt them, but will a fight with Lashley & Shelton hurt well enough?

At least, Renee is hoping to speak with The CEO. Instead, Muppet Mone pops in! “Atlanta~! Say hello to your C E O~! Renee, I have exciting news! This Saturday on Collision, Harley Cameron will be live in concert~!” Harley pops in and wow, she’ll be live in concert for a “Harley Halftime in Houston” special? Yes! What an amazing idea, Mercedes, that you totally came up with. Thanks! And y’know what? Muppet Mone isn’t such a dummy. She doesn’t get it. Of course not. But Harley says this is fantastic! They’re making up! Muppet Mone says she does want to apologize, she was so awful to Harley last week.
Um, real Mercedes Mone is walking out from her locker room. Mone asks Harley, “Are you stupid? Or are you dumb?” Renee says she’s glad to see Mone is here, she wants to talk Grand Slam and how she still doesn’t have an opponent. Harley did get her first win on TV, so maybe they can talk her trajectory. Mone says aw, Harley got her first victory, how cute. Mone remembers her first-ever win. And she also remembers the feeling of winning her first championship at the age of 23. And the feeling of winning another, and another, and then this title. And the TBS Championship is saying that Mone is the GREATEST TBS Champion ever!
And Harley? Well, she’s nothing but a loser. And losers don’t get to ride the Money Train! Mone SNATCHES Muppet Mone off Harley’s hand, to reveal a middle finger! Mone storms off, Renee hides the middle finger, but it’s a strong one. What will it take for Harley to force Mone into a Grand Slam showdown?

AEW returns as Renee is now with The Cowboy, and she wants to follow up with him from last week. It seemed like Hangman was in pursuit of Swerve Strickland. Hangman says that was nothing. No, y’know what that was? That was a moment of weakness! It was a mistake! And that is all he’ll say on that, and Renee will not asking about it again, understood? Renee says okay, but then two weeks ago, Christopher Daniels came out to say that after their Texas Deathmatch, the damage was so severe that he had to retire from in-ring action. Correct her if she’s wrong, but there appeared to be regret on Hangman’s face.
Hangman simply says, “No.” Hangman says Daniels overstepped, overplayed his hand, and accepted a deathmatch with The Hangman. Hangman did what he said he would, and he hurt Daniels so badly that Daniels will never wrestle again! And Hangman does not regret- Wait, Max Caster speaks up? He wants Renee to have Hangman wrap this up. Caster’s been waiting! Caster respects Hangman, and what he did to Daniels was actually awesome, that was so brutal. Daniels had the neck brace and everything. What if Hangman did that to Anthony Bowens? Caster would do it himself, but he’s busy with his Best Wrestler Alive Open Challenge.
Hey, what if Hangman hospitalized Billy Gunn? Hangman says Caster is on to something. Hangman would love to hospitalize someone tonight. But uh, Hangman doesn’t see Bowens and he doesn’t see Billy, but… Caster’s here. Y-Yeah! Okay, thank you for your time, he’ll just be going to his car. Caster leaves, Hangman says he’ll come with. Will Platinum Max ever learn how to not stick his foot in his mouth?
Konosuke Takeshita & Kyle Fletcher VS Brody King & Buddy Matthews!
As we saw earlier tonight, The Alpha & Aussie Arrow want after Ospreay & Omega something fierce, but they’re going to wait until AEW arrives in Brisbane. As for the Hounds of Hell, they’re ready to take a bite out of any and every champion in AEW, so Konosuke’s on their list. Will Brody & Buddy build momentum going into Grand Slam: Australia? Or will the Don Callis Family be ready for the Best Bout Bruvs?
The teams sort out and Kyle starts against Buddy for a showdown of Aussies. The bell rings, Kyle and Buddy stare down and the fans fire up. Kyle and Buddy feel things out, tie up, and Buddy wrenches to a wristlock. Kyle rolls, wrenches back, and hits an ELBOW BREAKER! Kyle clamps onto the wristlock but Buddy rolls, rolls, and wrenches back. Buddy YANKS the arm, then YANKS the arm again! Kyle endures, rolls, and he wrenches in return. Kyle has the wristlock, tells the fans to shut up, but Buddy spins through and headlocks for a takeover! Buddy grinds Kyle down to a cover, ONE, and Kyle headscissors.
Buddy kips up, avoids a leg sweep, then headlocks again. Kyle powers up and out, they RAM shoulders, but Kyle hits a headlock takeover. Buddy headscissors but Kyle kips free, then Kyle ducks ‘n’ dodges. Kyle sunset flips, Buddy rolls through, and Kyle avoids the Penalty Kick! The fans cheer the standoff, and then Kyle tags Konosuke. The fans rally up as Konosuke and Buddy circle. They knuckle lock, Buddy waistlocks, but Konosuke switches. Buddy switches, they switch again and again, and Buddy powers Konosuke to ropes. Brody tags in before Konosuke bucks the O’Conner Roll, and while Konosuke stares Buddy down, Brody steps in.
The fans bark and Brody CHOPS Konosuke down! And CHOPS him down again! Brody eggs Konosuke on, so Konosuke fires haymakers! Brody CHOPS back down! Kyle storms in and CLUBS Brody, but Brody CHOPS Kyle down! Brody storms up on Konosuke but Konosuke bails out. Brody keeps on Konosuke, sending him into apron, then into railing! Buddy runs up on Kyle to SMACK him off the apron! Brody ROCKS Konosuke, Konosuke hits back! Brody CHOPS Konosuke and he stumbles. Buddy UPPERCUTS Kyle into taking a seat, Brody CHOPS Konosuke again. Brody whips Konosuke into railing, and then Brody CHOPS Kyle!
Brody CHOPS Konosuke to make him take a seat on Kyle’s lap! Buddy gets a second chair so Konosuke can sit side-by-side with Kyle, and Brody runs in! DOUBLE CROSSBODY against barriers! Atlanta fires up with The Hounds, and Kyle sputters on the floor. The fans want that “One More Time!” but Brody CHOPS Konosuke down again! The ref says to get this in the ring, but Brody puts Konosuke and Kyle together on one chair! Brody runs up, DOUBLE CROSSBODY against barriers! The fans fire up even more, but Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Brody tosses the chairs aside to then drag Konosuke up and into the ring. Brody storms in after Konosuke, but Kyle anchors his foot! The ref stops Buddy from stepping in, so Buddy tries to point this out to the ref! But Konosuke BOOTS Brody down first! Kyle soaks up heat while he flexes, and Konosuke drags Brody up. Konosuke bumps Brody off buckles, then climbs up to rain down fists! Konosuke goes to five before he BITES Brody’s forehead! The ref counts, Konosuke stops, but Brody CHOPS him! Konosuke ROCKS Brody with a forearm, then put shim in the Callis corner. Tag to Kyle, and Kyle brings Brody out, only for Brody to CHOP!
Konosuke grabs Brody, he and Kyle mug Brody, then Kyle digs his boots in. The ref reprimands, Kyle steps off at 4, then Kyle sucker punches Buddy! The ref stops Buddy, but this lets Kyle and Konosuke stomp away on Brody! Konosuke CHOKES Brody on the ropes, then steps away to tag in. But Brody fights against Konosuke and Kyle! Kyle ROCKS Brody, then he and Konosuke DOUBLE GOURD BUSTER! And then DOUBLE BASEMENT DROPKICK! Brody is down, Konosuke & Kyle soak up more heat, and Kyle even mocks the barking. Konosuke drags Brody up to hit a NECKBREAKER! Konosuke facelocks, and he grinds Brody down.
Dynamite returns to single picture, and Brody fights up, to power Konosuke back! Konosuke holds on and throws knees to back Brody down! Konosuke ROCKS Brody, runs in, but Brody ROCKS him first! And he CHOPS Kyle down! The fans fire up as Brody storms up, but Konosuke ducks the lariat! Brody reaches for Buddy but Konosuke holds on! Brody fires elbows, but Konosuke dodges to BOOT Buddy! But then Brody LARIATS Konosuke! The fans fire up, Brody snarls as he brings Konosuke back up, but Konosuke ROCKS Brody first! Brody fights the saido, but Konosuke GERMAN SUPLEXES! Brody’s right back up!?
Brody hits a ROLLING ELBOW, then he gut wrenches Konosuke! Konosuke slips free, ducks ‘n’ dodges, DOUBLE LARIATS take both men down! But then both men are back up! They roar, but then fall back down! The fans are thunderous and barking as Brody and Konosuke stir. The standing count climbs, but we get hot tags to Kyle and Buddy! Buddy LARIATS, ELBOWS, and QUICK DRAW NECKBREAKERS Kyle! Kyle still gets up, but Buddy ducks ‘n’ dodges to CALF KICK! The fans fire up as Buddy fires a strike fest on Kyle! Stomp to the foot, KNEE to the head! Kyle flops to the apron and the fans fire up for Buddy!
Buddy brings Kyle in through the ropes, but Kyle slips in to TOSS Buddy up and out! Buddy lands safe on the apron, but Kyle catches him through the ropes! Kyle brings Buddy out, but now Buddy slips in to TOSS Kyle out! Kyle staggers up, into a DROPKICK! Buddy builds speed and FLIES! Direct hit on Kyle & Konosuke! The fans are thunderous again and Buddy hurries to put Kyle in. Buddy climbs, aims, METEORA! Cover, TWO! Kyle survives but “This is Awesome!” as Buddy aims again. Buddy runs, but no curb stomp! Kyle catches Buddy for a SNAP HALF ‘N’ HALF! Buddy goes to a corner, Kyle runs in, into a V-TRIGGER from Buddy!
Buddy goes up the corner again as Kyle falls down! Konosuke runs up but Buddy BOOTS him away! But wait, OKADA is here!? The Rainmaker’s music plays, but this is him just distracting Buddy! Kyle trips Buddy, then goes up, only for Buddy to slip under! Buddy tucks Kyle in, CHEEKY NANDOS! Buddy then SHINING WIZARDS in the corner, and he calls to Brody! Buddy tags Brody, and the Hounds set up at the corners, for CERBERUS!! Konosuke hurries as Brody covers, MISSILE DROPKICK SENTON COMBO!! Konosuke saves the match while taking out both opponents! Konosuke then hurries after Buddy on the apron.

Nick says Christian isn’t here right now. Do they have a problem, though? Nah, Joe & Hook can come back when Christian’s here. Kip says yeah, jog on. The Devil went down to Georgia, looking for a soul to steal, but seems so did this scumbag. MJF has them cut his music, and he calls out “Geriatric Jeff Jarrett!” All Jeff had to do was stay out of the way of a young, fast-rising, incredibly handsome, humble star, and he just couldn’t do that, could he? No, no, no, and that is why MJF had to teach Jeff a lesson. That lesson is as follows: in AEW, the “E” stands for “Elite.” Not “elderly!” MJF laughs at his own dumb joke, and then says that now that the “carny shmuck” is out of the way, MJF is one step closer to once again obtaining his Triple B! The fans boo that.
MJF says because ain’t nobody on the level of the Devil! Wait, Caster? What’s he doing here? MJF tells Caster to scram, but Caster is pointing to who he’s running from! MJF does his best to finish his catchphrase, but now DUSTIN RHODES is here! The fans fire up as The Natural heads to the ring but MJF has them cut the music. The dual ROH World Tag Team & Six Man Tag Team Champion steps into the ring, MJF tells him that he was talking, but Dustin tells MJF to shut his stupid trap! All MJF does is come out here and badmouth everybody in the back, degrade them, and even talk about people who aren’t even here anymore, like Dustin’s friend, Owen Hart. MJF scoffs and turns around, but Dustin tells him to look him in the eyes, “you SOB!” Dustin suggests MJF keep Owen’s name out of his mouth, or else Dustin kicks MJF’s teeth in!
The fans fire up, and Dustin tells MJF to stop talking about people’s wives, about people’s pasts, their issues with drugs and alcohol. Dustin is one of those! 16 years clean ‘n’ sober, after going straight to Hell, looking the Devil in his eyes, and kicking his ass! Dustin crawls out of Hell, and he knows MJF ain’t the devil. MJF has all the potential in the world, yet he chooses to go to these dark places. There is a reason Dustin is still here at 55 years old, hanging with everybody on this roster! It is because he is a survivor! Dustin IS the Last of His Kind! Because Dustin has survived everything! Whatever MJF can think of, Dustin’s been though, boy!
The fans cheer but MJF doesn’t seem to care. Dustin tells MJF that when Dustin is gone, the mold will be broken forever. Dustin IS better than you, “and your punk b*tch ass freakin’ knows it!” The fans fire up for Dustin, but MJF says okay, okay, time out. Everybody, bravo, give it up for Dustin Rhodes! MJF applauds and says that was incredible. But MJF has to say, the part where Dustin said he is better than MJF? That was interesting. MJF imagines all those years of Dustin being a worthless drug addict turned his brain into Swiss cheese to come to that realization. But allow MJF to smarten Dustin and all these people on what Dustin’s all about.
“Dustin Rhodes is the man that took 37 long, hard, arduous years of blood, sweat and tears… Just to get out from understand his daddy’s shadow.” The fans boo and MJF says that struck a nerve with “Goldy,” didn’t it? MJF has a better one. The fans chant, “Whoop His Ass!” but MJF says what’s so sad about the whole thing, is that after all that hard work and sacrifice, now Dustin lives in the shadow of his baby brother! Dustin DECKS MJF! The fans fire up as Dustin stands MJF up and they throw more hands! Security rushes in here but the fans boo! “LET THEM FIGHT! LET THEM FIGHT!” Even Jerry Lynn gets out here!
Jerry tries to calm Dustin down, but Dustin breaks free to CLOBBER MJF! The fans fire up but MJF bails out the side! Dustin is fuming but MJF jukes the security! AND LOW BLOWS DUSTIN!! The fans boo as MJF stands over Dustin, a stupid grin on his face. MJF takes his leave for real this time, but now Christopher Daniels gets in his way. MJF tells Daniels not to touch him, but then realizes who he’s talking to. Hangman sure did a number on Daniels, didn’t he? MJF goes to the back, Daniels seethes, but will someone, anyone, ever humble the Wolf of Wrestling?
Mariah May is here!
The Glamour promised she’d watch as her former mentor battled her first-ever AEW opponent once again. But will Mariah like the outcome? Or will it be a repeat performance? Wait, Justin Roberts has a script to read from for Toni’s entrance? “Playing the role of The Glamour, Mariah May… Timeless Toni Storm!” Mariah has no idea what that means, but then her music plays again! And yes, much as when Mariah used to cosplay as Rockstar Toni, Toni is cosplaying as Mariah! Toni struts around, has obvious hair extensions, and perhaps does a bit more teasing with the finger and lips than Mariah does, but everyone else says that’s spot on!
Mariah is seething more and more the more Toni walks around, but will this still be a smash hit of a parody?

Toni moves around, kips free, but Aminata headlocks. Aminata grinds the hold, hits a takeover, but Toni headscissors. Aminata kips free, the two reset, and we see Serena Deeb watching backstage. Will The Professor of Pro-Wrestling think Aminata has passed the test?
Aminata waistlocks, headlocks, wrenches and then steps over to twerk attack! The fans cheer, Toni says, “How DARE you!” Toni SLAPS Aminata, kicks low, then scoops for the SPIN OUT SIDEWALK SLAM! Aminata CHOPS Toni against the desk! Toni falls over dramatically, Aminata refreshes the ring count, but Toni hits back! Toni CLUBS Aminata, CLUBS her again, then CHOPS! The fans cheer as the fight is now even! Bill brawls with Hobbs, Jericho & Keith brawl with Truth & Turbo, but security hurries out here! Fan want to “LET THEM FIGHT!” Bill grabs one guard by his neck! But then he sees Hobbs doing the same with another security guard. Bill gives his guard a SKYSCRAPER CHOKE SLAM to the floor! This fight has been a long time coming, and the animosity only escalated with every week we had to wait! The One & Only is no longer pretending to be a hero, now he’s living the life of an American Psycho. But will that be enough to be the most dangerous man in AEW? But Ricochet attacks from behind during Swerve’s entrance, and with a chair! The fans boo but Ricochet says this is because of them! And he SMACKS Swerve again! The ref reprimands, but there’s nothing he can really do since this isn’t a match yet! Ricochet SMACKS Swerve again! The fans rally for “Whose House?” “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” while Ricochet stalks Swerve. Ricochet puts Swerve in the ring, stands over him, and tells him that this is Ricochet’s House now! Swerve SLAPS Ricochet! The fans fire up, the bell rings, and Ricochet comes back to JUMP KNEE! Swerve is sent into barriers, but then Ricochet whips him hard into railing! Ricochet soaks up heat from the fans, then he drags Swerve up to push against barriers. Ricochet hops up onto the barriers, then brings Swerve up. The fans step back a bit, and Ricochet reels Swerve in. Swerve fights the lift, throws body shots, but Ricochet throws hands! They both throw haymakers, the ring count climbs, and Ricochet gets the edge. Ricochet goes up, but Swerve stops the rana to BARRIER BOMB!! Ricochet falls in a heap and the fans lose their minds! Nana cheers Swerve on as the true and only champion that matters!

Swerve puts Ricochet in, stomps him again and again, then gets Atlanta really fired up. Swerve ELBOWS Ricochet down, then stalks him to a corner. Swerve climbs up to shine Ricochet’s head! Then SLAPS him again and again! The ref counts as Swerve keeps slapping!

My Thoughts:
A great Dynamite, but with some new head-scratcher story moves. Mark Davis being the new Don Callis Family member would’ve worked better if this was months ago. Davis has been hanging around, but we barely got any interactions of him and Kyle or Don Callis, so there were no hints at Davis wanting to turn. That doesn’t make this surprise surprising, it makes it confusing. Ospreay VS Davis was still good stuff, and we still got a good promo from Ospreay with Omega to add to the Grand Slam tag match. Speaking of, great tag match of Konosuke & Kyle VS Brody & Buddy, but very fitting that Okada would screw Buddy over now that their title match is happening. As I said for Collision, Okada VS Buddy is going to be awesome, even if Buddy still loses.
Then there’s The Gunns challenging The Hurt Syndicate for the tag titles. It’s not even so much that the Gunns don’t deserve a title match, or that they and the Hurt Syndicate won’t put on a good title match, it’s just… We literally opened tonight with Jay White, leader of the Bang Bang Gang and friend of The Gunns. Why aren’t The Gunns helping Jay White against The Death Riders? Why isn’t it 6v4, but then the trios titles become the reason the Bang Bang Gang doesn’t quite help out Rated FTR like they should? I want to be frustrated for reasons that are perfectly in story, not because the story itself is lacking.
Though to that point, the Death Riders VS AEW story really should’ve been all encompassing. It felt like it was going to be that when this all started, with how Garcia, Private Party, Dark Order, and a lot of others were standing together against The Death Riders, but then it all fell apart because we still needed things like Garcia VS Perry for the TNT title and such. White & Cope VS Moxley & Claudio in a “Brisbane Brawl” No Disqualifications match will still be great stuff, and surely that compels Moxley to face Cope 1v1. I still think we need Christian Cage to get back on this story given his Casino Gauntlet contract.
Christian Cage was hilarious tonight by totally avoiding that beating Joe & Hook gave Kip & Nick. And while Shibata is apparently in Japan, he could come back and we get a Six Man Tag against Patriarchy. Harley Cameron was also hilarious, and between the Muppet Mone and the “Harley Halftime in Houston” segment this Saturday, Mone might be angered into giving Harley the title match for Australia. Toni Storm continues to be a creative genius in her own right where she imitates Mariah for her match with Aminata. Serena Deeb watching the match is another dropped ball TK picked back up, but I guess he kinda had to since Britt Baker didn’t want a feud with Deeb. Britt is a whole different issue, we might not get a real answer on that for some time.
MJF had a good promo, but Dustin showing up was a touch of a surprise. Dustin is upset not just for Jarrett but for the disrespect showing to Owen Hart, but of course MJF gets his own shot on Dustin. MJF VS Dustin will be some good stuff, but surely Double J goes after MJF and we get that match for Revolution. This week’s New York Minute might’ve been the best because it turned into that huge brawl, with the New York Minute graphic still on it. Keith VS Bandido will be good stuff, and surely Bandido wins to set up Bandido VS Jericho for the ROH World Championship. Hobbs and Bill getting to wreck security guards as fun, and they’ll have a great grudge match, too.
Great main event from Swerve and Ricochet, with Ricochet ambushing Swerve as a good start. While Ricochet didn’t get that poison-rana to the apron, that’s just one of those moments where they go just a little too fast and it doesn’t work out. Ricochet still did good improvising with that German Suplex, and then he of course wins with “controversy.” This is certainly going to give us another match, maybe even for Revolution, and they’ll surely turn it up a notch. Honestly, an apron poison-rana is more fitting of a rematch than the first time we see this match in AEW, so this worked out for the better.

The bell rings and the fans rally for “SPEEDBALL! SPEEDBALL!” All four men watch each other, and Davis sticks out like a sore thumb as the biggest guy here. Cassidy rolls through the middle of the group, and the fans cheer! Ricochet and Davis aren’t amused but Bailey applauds. The four feel things out, Davis knuckle locks with Bailey, but Cassidy is a bit more reluctant. Ricochet knuckle locks with Bailey, but Cassidy is still reluctant. Ricochet breaks with Bailey to headlock Cassidy. Bailey fires KICKS on Davis, Cassidy powers out but Bailey sidesteps Ricochet. Cassidy arm-drags Ricochet, Davis waistlocks Bailey.
Bailey elbows free, Cassidy runs up but Bailey sends him into Cassidy! Davis rebounds, Cassidy drops down, Bailey TOSSES Davis out! The fans fire up and now the high-fliers all stand off. Ricochet gets the fans fired up, but then he sucker punches Cassidy! Cassidy falls out and the fans boo. Bailey fires LIGHTNING KICKS on Ricochet! The ENZIGIRIS sends Ricochet tumbling away and the fans fire up again! Cassidy returns, he and Bailey square off. Cassidy fires “lightning” kicks, and the fans go wild! Cassidy then winds up, puts his hands up, and then puts them in his pockets! The fans fire up and Bailey says okay, hold on.
Bailey puts his hands behind his back to mirror Cassidy, and then he starts throwing kicks! Cassidy ducks ‘n’ jumps those feet, then SHOTGUNS Bailey down! Cassidy kips up, but then so does Bailey! The fans rally more as Bailey kicks and Cassidy dodges. Cassidy runs the ropes but Ricochet trips him up! The fans boo as Ricochet drags Cassidy out and THROWS him into barriers! But Bailey runs to SLIDING RANA! The fans fire up again, and Bailey KICKS Ricochet against barriers! Bailey stands Ricochet back up to KICK him again! The fans cheer, Bailey puts Ricochet in and climbs a corner. But Davis grabs Bailey’s foot!
Bailey kicks Davis away, then FLYING- NO! Davis stops the rana to APRON POWERBOMB Bailey! Cassidy DIVES, but Davis catches him, to RAM him into the apron, then APRON BACK SUPLEX! Ricochet runs up to CLUB Davis, but Davis stays up. Ricochet apologizes but Davis storms up on him. The fans tell Ricochet he messed up, and Ricochet runs away into the ring. Davis pursues, Ricochet slips out the side, Bailey O’Conner Rolls Davis! TWO, Ricochet comes back but Bailey BOOTS him down! Bailey then goes up, up, but Davis grabs him in a waistlock! Bailey fights the grip, gets free, and he CHOPS!
The fans fire up but Davis just scowls. Bailey CHOPS again! Davis eggs Bailey on, so Bailey CHOPS again! The fans “WOO~” but Davis roars! Bailey kicks, Davis blocks, and then Davis CHOPS Bailey down! Cassidy is back, Davis CHOPS him down, too! The fans boo but Davis stalks Bailey to a corner. Davis stands Bailey up to CHOP LARIAT! Ricochet joins commentary at this moment just to say he’s not a dummy who’s gonna get beat up in that ring. He’s letting Davis do all the work! Davis drags Cassidy up, CHOP LARIATS him in a corner, then goes back to Davis. The ref tells Ricochet to get in the ring but Ricochet tells the ref to shut up.
Davis TOSSES Bailey, Ricochet says he knows when to pick his spots. Ricochet steps off commentary, the fans tell Callis off while Davis scoops and SLAMS Cassidy! Davis soaks up the heat, stands Bailey up and CHOKES him int he corner! Ricochet slithers in to cover Cassidy! Davis hears the count and drags Ricochet up! Davis TOSSES Ricochet up and out of the ring! But Bailey- Well, he tries to roll Davis up but Davis is sturdy. Cassidy runs up and CROSSBODIES, but Davis catches him! Davis swings and TOSSES Cassidy, then SENTONS onto Bailey! The fans fire up, Ricochet slithers in, but then he and Davis lock eyes.
Davis shouts and Ricochet slithers back out, “picking his spot.” Davis drags Cassidy up while the fans rally for “FRESHLY SQUEEZED!” Davis suplexes, but Cassidy gives him STUN DOG MILLIONAIRE! Either Cassidy holds on or Davis is blocking, but Bailey is up top either way! FLYING DOUBLE KNEES!! Davis takes the worst of that, and now Ricochet slithers back in! Bailey SUPERKICKS him first, though! Bailey runs and BOOTS Davis in the corner! Bailey pushes Davis down, goes up, and MISSLE DROPKICKS! Davis gets up, but Bailey SOBATS, AX KICKS, and KICKS Davis down! The fans fire up and Bailey runs, STANDING SHOOTING STAR!
Ricochet TOSSES Bailey out, aims at Davis, STANDING SHOOTING STAR! But now Cassidy TOSSES Ricochet out! Cassidy winds up, but he realizes he can’t pull off the Shooting Star so he just covers! ONE!! Davis survives, Cassidy argues the count, but Ricochet returns! Cassidy dodges, but then Ricochet dodges Bailey! Bailey dodges Cassidy, Ricochet CHOPS Cassidy! Bailey ROCKS Ricochet, Cassidy DECKS Bailey! Ricochet, Cassidy and Bailey all gather, but Davis roars! So he gets TRIPLE BOOTS! The fans fire up as Ricochet says the others can handle this. Cassidy and Bailey say nope! They whip Ricochet into Davis’ BOOT!
Davis then runs to CLOBBER Cassidy and Bailey at the same time! Ricochet comes back, but Davis CLOBBERS him, too! The fans boo Dunkzilla but he soaks up that heat while Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Davis drags Bailey up and around, reels him in, and suplexes high and hard! Bailey flounders away, Cassidy gets up, but Davis kicks him low. Davis suplexes high and hard again! Ricochet is up, he kicks first, but Davis still suplexes Ricochet! Davis hits a hattrick, but Bailey returns. Davis DECKS Bailey! Davis paces, then he CHOPS Bailey! Bailey fires a body shot, but Davis CHOPS him down! Davis fires up, and suplexes, but Bailey blocks! Bailey fires body shots, and he tries to suplex Davis?! Cassidy swings, Bailey dodges, and Bailey goes up to TRIANGLE JUMP MOONSAULT onto Davis and Ricochet! Bailey returns, he bumps Cassidy off buckles, then goes up. Cassidy goes up, btu Bailey hops back to GAMANGIRI! Bailey hops back in, hoists Cassidy up, and he POWER- NO, Cassidy RANAS through! Cover, TWO! SUPERKICK! Bailey knocks Cassidy down and covers, TWO! Davis is back, Bailey ducks and the LARIAT hits Ricochet! But then Davis comes back to LARIAT Bailey after all! Davis drags Bailey up, reels him in, and roars! But Ricochet stands, only for Davis to grab him by the neck! Davis POWERBOMBS Bailey with one arm, then shoves Ricochet for a POP-UP POWERBOMB!
Davis turns around, Cassidy leaps for DEEP- NO, Davis catches Cassidy and SPINEBUSTERS! Davis roars, grabs Cassidy’s legs, close your eyes and COUNT TO PAIN!! Cover, BAILEY BREAKS IT!! The fans are thunderous again but now Davis drags Bailey up! But Bailey trips Davis, JACKKNIFE BRIDGE! TWO and Davis sunset flips! TWO, and Bailey PENALTY KICKS! Then STANDING MOONSAULT KNEE DROP!! Davis sputters, but Ricochet grabs Bailey! Bailey BOOTS Ricochet, dodges Davis, and BLINDSIDE HEEL KICKS! Bailey hooks the arms, slowly backslides, but Ricochet adds in with a high stack! Callis claims everyone cheated except Davis! The fans are confused, they want it to be Bailey’s win, but Ricochet did join the cover. The ref has everyone calm down and he sorts this out. He tells Callis to shut up and back off while he talks with Justin Roberts. The announcement comes in: As a result of a pinfall, challenging Kenny Omega for the title will be… “Speedball” Mike Bailey AND Ricochet!

The only one happy about this is The One & Only! Ricochet sneaks his way into the title match, but will he be able to pull off something like this in Philadelphia? Or will the title still belong to a Canadian in the end?
AEW TBS Championship: Mercedes Mone VS Billie Starkz!
The CEO is still #FourBeltsMone after her great battle with Momo Watanabe at Revolution. However, she hasn’t been taking the inaugural ROH Women’s Television Champion very seriously. But that doesn’t bother Billie, because Mone was never her role model. Will Billie once again make history? Or will she simply pay for messing with Mone?
The introductions are made, the teal belt is raised, and we see who is really star material!
The bell rings and Billie offers a handshake. The Code of Honor, if you will. Mone ROCKS Billie instead, then DROPKICKS her! The fans boo but Mone rains down fists! The ref counts as Billie is in the ropes, so Mone stops at 4. Mone smothers Billie’s face into the mat, then slaps Billie around! The fans are torn but the boos are strong. Mone drags Billie up, bumps her off buckles, and then digs her boot in at the corner. The fans boo and the ref reprimands, Mone stops at 4, and Mone snapmares to run and METEORA! Cover, TWO! Mone is annoyed but Billie is tougher than that. The fans duel while Billie sits up.
Mone talks trash but Billie fires forearms! Billie whips, Mone reverses, but Billie BOOTS her down! Mone runs back up, she blocks Billie’s boots and throws them aside, but Billie REBOUND ENZIGIRIS! Billie goes out and steps back in, TORNADO DDT! The fans fire up for Billie as she has a wild grin. Billie hurries to cover, TWO! The fans rally, Billie goes up a corner, but Mone bails out! The fans boo but Mone wags her finger. Billie hops down, builds speed, and she DIVES! Direct hit at the ramp and the fans fire up! Billie roars, goes back into the ring, and she goes up the corner! Billie aims and SUPER CANNONBALLS!
The fans fire up as Billie takes Mone down! The ref checks them both, but Billie stands up. Billie drags Mone up, puts her in the ring, then goes back up the corner. Billie aims again, SWANTON BOMB! Cover, TWO!! Mone survives and Billie grows frustrated. Mone clutches her side and crawls to a corner while Omaha rallies for Billie. Billie drags Mone up, Electric Chair Lifts, but Mone grabs the ropes! Billie pries Mone from them, but Mone CLAWS Billie’s eyes! Mone slips out the back to BACKSTABBER! Cover, TWO! Mone rains down fists, lets off to TOSS Billie out, and Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Mone snarls while fans cheer and jeer. Mone then calms down and smiles, and she does her dance while the ring count climbs. Billie sits up, pushes up off the mat, and springs in at 9! Mone is right on Billie with a scoop and SLAM! Cover, TWO! Billie toughs it out but Mone KNEES her int he side! Mone then pulls Billie into a Half Bow ‘n’ Arrow! Billie endures being bent back, and she reaches out for ropes. Billie then reaches back to drag Mone into a cover! TWO, and Mone CLOBBERS Billie! Mone is frustrated again, and she drags Billie back up, to ELBOW her in the shoulders again and again! Mone then clamps on a chinlock!
Billie endures, reaches out, but Mone squeeze tight. Billie fights around, fights to her feet, and JAWBREAKERS free! Then she rolls Mone up! TWO, and Mone DROPKICKS Billie down! Cover, TWO! Billie is still tougher than that, and Mone is upset. Mone drags Billie around, KNEES her in the back, then pulls on the arms. Billie endures the motorcycle stretch, fights to her feet, and she fires knees! Then she tilt-o-whirl RANAS Mone! Mone runs back in, Billie wrenches and WRINGS the arm out! Dynamite returns to single picture as Billie mule kicks, then scoops for a tuck and- NO, Mone turns things around, CIPHER UTAKI! Cover, TWO!!
The fans fire up as Billie survives, and Mone is beside herself! Mone paces, drags Billie to her feet, and hooks the arms. Gory Especial, but Billie fights and powers Mone back! Mone sends Billie into buckles! Mone fires forearms, the fans boo and the ref reprimands. Mone stops at 4, then hoists Billie up top. Mone climbs up after Billie, talks trash, and SLAPS Billie! Mone brings Billie to the top rope, and hits a SUPERPLEX! Roll through and another suplex, but Billie fights that! Billie suplexes for a GHOSTBUSTER! The fans fire up while both women are down! Billie and Mone crawl while the fans rally and duel.
Mone runs up, Billie dodges to wrench and KNEE SMASH, then ROLLING ELBOW! And GERMAN SUPLEX! Bridging cover, TWO! Mone escapes and Billie is a bit surprised, but she hurries to run up! Mone ELBOWS Billie, then goes to a corner. Mone BOOTS Billie, but Billie comes back again. Mone hits her with DEADLY NIGHTSHADE! Mone talks trash, gets Billie into the Gory Especial, but Billie kicks off buckles to flip up and over! But Mone blocks a kick to KNEE Billie! Mone then kicks, but Billie gives the KNEE right back! And HEEL KICK! Mone LARIATS! Both women are down again and the fans are thunderous!
Mone crawls to a cover, TWO! The fans rally for “A E DUB! A E DUB!” Mone rises, she drags Billie up by her hair buns, and then reels her in. But Billie drops to victory roll, TWO! Mone runs up, Billie dodges to go up and around, arm-drag and lateral press! TWO and ghost pin, TWO! Billie runs back in, crucifix into sunset flip, ONE!! Mone stands, into a SHOTGUN! Mone hits buckles and slumps down! The fans fire up and Billie hoists Mone into an Alabama Lift! ALABAMA SLAM into buckles! Billie brings out that viciousness taught to her by Athena, and she hurries to get Mone in the Electric Chair!
Billie tucks Mone, FOLDING DRIVER!! Cover, ROPEBREAK!!!! Mone survives by a literal foot, and Billie can’t believe it! The fans boo, but Billie’s miscalculation lets Mone live. “This is Awesome!” as Mone crawls to the apron. Billie fires up, and she goes up the corner! Billie aims, leaps, APRON SWANTON but Mone moves!! Billie crashes and burns, Mone reels her into a ghost pin! TWO, but into the STATEMENT MAKER!! Billie endures, but Mone pulls her way back! Billie TAPS, Mone wins!
Winner: Mercedes Mone, by submission (still AEW TBS Champion)
Mone laughs as she keeps holding on! The ref reprimands, Mone lets go, and the fans boo as Mone holds up all her belts. But Billie pushed Mone a lot further than Mone will likely admit. But at this rate, will no one stop Mone from becoming the Forever TBS Champion?

Truth Magnum introduces himself and Turbo Floyd, and they wish their boys, the Omaha Mavericks, good luck on the way to the NCAA titles. Some call those guys underdogs, but guess what? There’s not enough fingers ‘n’ toes on the planet to count out the Mavericks nor The Outrunners! Tell ’em, Turb! Turbo says that just like The Outrunners, the Mavericks will do whatever it takes to get to the top! It is 90% mental, and the other half is in your head! What? Well, either way, the Outrunners have been cheering on the Mavericks this whole season, and no one is gonna stop them nor the Outrunners! If you haven’t seen the Mavericks or the Outrunners, you ain’t seen nothing yet!

One thoroughbred, one stallion, one mustang, the most complete professional wrestler on God’s Green Earth, and you’re lookin’ at him.
“Speaking of looking, I’ve been doing a whole lot of looking at this card. And it’s got me thinking about my Triple B being around the waist of Dictator Jon. Dictator Jon is surrounded by a pack of wild animals, and it’s very clear to me, that if I want a shot at The Devil getting his due, part two… Perhaps I need a little clique of my own. With Revolution’s main event being more or less interrupted by quite a few others, namely Christian Cage and his Casino Gauntlet Contract cash-in, The Maniac stayed the champion, but nothing between him and the Rated R Superstar had been settled. Now they’re just throwing the rulebook out into the cold Nebraska night as they turn up the heat! Will Moxley still find a way to survive? Or will he have to cope with a devastating loss?
Moxley is only now entering the arena from the parking lot, BUT COPE IS THERE TO ATTACK! The fans fire up seeing this on the tron, and the bell rings now to get this all on record! Cope SMACKS Moxley off the semi-truck’s trailer, then SMACKS him off it again! Then Cope shoves Moxley into the back of the trailer, and they brawl around all these power tools, props and cases! Cope SMACKS Moxley off the side again, then finds one of Jeff Jarrett’s guitars! Cope SMACKS Moxley in the leg, then fires more forearms! Moxley staggers towards the exit, but Cope runs up to swing and DROPKICK Moxley into the garage door!
Moxley slumps down, Cope throws off his vest, and Cope drags Moxley back up. Cope and Moxley scrap, and now Moxley sends Cope into the garage door! Moxley grabs the briefcase and runs inside. Cope pursues, CLUBS Moxley along the hallway, and the ref has found them. Moxley uses the briefcase as a weapon to JAM and CLOBBER Cope! Moxley says Cope wanted a Street Fight in Omaha, so let’s go to Omaha! Cope hits back, he headlocks Moxley and brings him along. Cope goes looking under the ring, and he brings out a trash can! Cope runs up to SMASH Moxley with the can! Moxley ends up by commentary, Cope storms over to bring him around. The fans rally for Cope as he snap suplexes Moxley to the floor! Moxley writhes and staggers away. Cope runs up to BOOT Moxley down! Moxley takes a seat, and Cope rains down forearms! Cope rains down fists, not having to hold back!

And SMACKS him again! Moxley digs the point of the kendo stick into Cope’s neck! The fans boo, the ref checks with Cope, but Cope refuses to give up! Moxley stops, only to drag Cope back up. Moxley whips but Cope reverses, and Moxley hits railing!
Cope DUMPS Moxley over into the crowd, and then pursues again. The fans fire up as Cope storms up and CLOBBERS Moxley into the boards! The fans fire up as Cope CHUCKS a trash can at Moxley’s head! Moxley staggers away, Cope has a beer can and he SMACKS Moxley with it! Moxley is dazed as he leans on the barriers, and Cope fires forearms and CHOPS! The fans fire up being even closer to the action, but Moxley ROCKS Cope in return! Cope ROCKS Mox, Mox ROCKS Cope! Cope ROCKS Moxley again, but Moxley hits back again! Then SMACKS him again! But then Cope clears off the desk! The fans fire up, Cope stalks Moxley again, and Cope brings Moxley around to TOSS onto the desk! The fans are thunderous as Cope climbs up to join Mox! But Moxley CLAWS Cope’s eyes! And he BITES Cope’s face! Then underhooks and PARADIGM SHIFT on the desk!! Cope flops to the floor while Moxley dusts himself off. The ref checks Cope while Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Surely, Omaha is fired up again as Cope stands this table up at ringside. Moxley crawls away, has a chair, but Cope CLUBS him first! Cope whips, but Moxley reverses, and now Cope hits steel steps! Cope falls in a heap, Moxley grabs that chair and puts it in the ring. Moxley fetches Cope, puts him in the ring, and Dynamite returns to single picture. Moxley has the chair, takes aim, and he SMACKS Cope on the back! The fans boo while Cope writhes, and Moxley SMACKS him again! Moxley CHOKES Cope with the chair, having it sit on his neck! Moxley flips off the fans while they boo more, but Cope still refuses to give up.
Moxley lets off Cope and he tells the ref to back off. Moxley puts the chair around Cope’s neck! The fans boo as Moxley wants to do Cope like he did Bryan Danielson and Chuck Taylor! But then Moxley goes up the corner?! The fans boo, but Cope stands! Cope CHUCKS the chair at Moxley! Moxley teeters up top, Cope climbs up after him, and Cope CLAWS Moxley’s back! Cope brings Moxley up, to SUPER DUPER PLEX! Both men writhe, and Prince Nana is watching backstage. Swerve is still down and out after what Moxley did to him on Saturday, so Nana is keeping an eye on this match on Swerve’s behalf.

Moxley kicks low, fires knees again and again, then runs, only for Cope to dodge and LARIAT! And LARIAT! And LARIAT again! The fans fire up as Cope then FLAPJACKS Moxley down! Moxley checks his face while the fans rally up. Cope goes out of the ring, and he looks under the ring. IT’S SPIKE! Cope brings his little friend into the ring, but Moxley hits a CUTTER! The fans boo but Moxley CHOKES Cope!
Moxley goes out, and he brings out a second TABLE! The fans are torn, they love tables but don’t like Moxley. Moxley puts this table in the ring, sets it up in a corner, but Cope gets Spike back! Cope SMACKS Moxley in the gut!! The fans go nuts, but then Cope SMACKS Moxley on the back! Cope puts Spike down, and suplexes Moxley onto Spike!! Moxley writhes as Spike sticks inside Moxley’s back!! So many nails are digging into flesh!! The fans are losing their minds and Moxley isn’t sure what to do about it! Moxley stands, Spike still digs into him, but WHEELER YUTA IS HERE! BUSAIKU KNEE on Cope!!
The fans boo but of course The Decoder defends Moxley! Now even Yuta is shocked to see Spike stuck in Moxley’s back! Yuta helps Moxley, but as he pulls on Spike, Moxley’s skin is stretched and torn up more! The ref gets Spike off of Moxley’s back while Yuta goes out after Cope. But Cope pops Yuta up to POWERBOMB him through the table!! That’s what Yuta gets! But CLAUDIO CASTAGNOLI IS BACK! And PAC! The Death Riders return to mug Cope and help Moxley! They put Cope in, we see Moxley’s bloody back, and Cope goes to a corner. Pac runs in for an ELBOW! Claudio runs in for an UPPERCUT!

Pac throat chops Dax, but Dax ducks a roundhouse to DDT Pac! Moxley is up to spin Dax around, but Dax kicks low! PILEDRIVER!!
The fans fire up as Dax then LARIATS Pac and himself up and out of the ring! Things are even now, and Cope seethes as he rises up. Moxley rises, Cope takes aim! SPEAR through the table!!! The fans are thunderous as both men wipe out through the wood! The fans love “A E DUB! A E DUB!” for giving them this insane match! Cope drags Moxley to a cover, BUT MARINA BREAKS IT! Marina Shafir is again a Problem, and she rains down forearms on Cope! But WILLOW NIGHTINGALE IS HERE! The Babe with the Power gets in there to fire hands on Marina! SHORT ARM LARIAT! Renee Paquette is with The Most Wanted, and brings up the horrible things Chris Jericho did at Revolution. How have he and his family been since then? Bandido says wrestling, lucha libre, it runs in his veins. And he knows the dangers, he can handle them. But what Chris Jericho did to his brother, Gravity, and how that was the first AEW show their mother and sister ever attended, it was humiliating! Jericho made Bandido’s mother cry in front of him, and Bandido will never forgive Jericho for that! So on Slam Dunk Sunday Night Collision, Bandido hopes Jericho shows up and acts like a man! Bring Gravity’s mask and give it back!
But Johnny TV steps in and somewhat sarcastically says wow, Bandido’s whole family was embarrassed and his mom cried on camera. WHO CARES?! Renee remarks that it is officially going to be Moxley VS Swerve at AEW Dynasty, then welcomes in The Cowboy. Hangman steps in, and Renee says that while she has a feeling she already knows the answer, she will still ask the question. “What are your thoughts on this match being official?” Hangman says he has said this a thousand times. He vows to never let Swerve Strickland hold the AEW World Championship again. Hangman is nothing if not a man of his word. But after beating MJF at Revolution, Hangman will not let his vision be solely focused on someone else. His focus will be on himself.
And while many people have been jumping the gun to enter The Owen, Hangman will join the party. Hangman will win the Owen Hart Foundation Cup to then go on, challenge for and become the NEW AEW World Champion. Even if it’s Swerve. The Cowboy joins The Aerial Assassin, what other dangerous names will put their names in the hat?

How surprised was she by Billie out there? Mone admits, “that kid” did put up a fight. That kid, Billie, has a lot of heart. But it takes more than heart to beat Mone. Who trained her? Who mentored her? Whoever did knows nothing about pro-wrestling. If Mone had trained Billie, Billie might’ve had a chance at beating Mone for the title. HAHAHA! But no, who’s she kidding? Billie still would not have won, because Mone is the greatest TBS Champion of all time!

Toni staggers back up, and she shoves free to LARIAT Megan up and out! Megan lands on her feet, but security does their best to keep these two apart! Megan is beside herself, but Toni grabs a mic to say, “My gawd, you’re a big b*tch!” Fans cheer that!
“I’ve always said the bigger they are, the harder they come. So it’s about time you and I got tantric! You keep looking at my title, but you don’t have much to say. So I’m gonna make this very easy for you. You and I shall have a date at Dynasty! And I will make your thighs shake and your body quake, and I will leave with this strap on, for I am TIMELESS TONI STORM! And I will tear your tits off!!” The Megasus has the title match she wants, but will she get much more than she bargained for?
My Thoughts:
A great Dynamite that almost lost some matches given the blizzard that hit today. But it looks like we got everything they were hoping to get done tonight, especially in building up Dynasty. The Fatal 4 Way was an awesome opener, and what an incredibly clever way to give two guys that win to raise the stakes on Kenny Omega. I also feel like we should get Bailey VS Ricochet 1v1 just to see “who’s better” going into the Triple Threat, and maybe indicate some go-home math towards that match. I would think part of the Triple Threat nature is so that regardless of the result, all three men look strong, but I’m leaning towards Omega winning.
Mone VS Billie was a great match, a great showing for Billie’s return to cable TV, but this makes her 0-2 all time for the TBS Championship (she lost to Jade Cargill on a Battle of the Belts special). However, Mone’s promo talking trash on Billie’s mentor planted major seeds for Mone VS Athena in time for All In: Texas, as I’ve been hoping for. Good promo from The Outrunners, but it seems like they didn’t make it to Omaha, or else they’d be teaming with Hobbs for Collision, not Briscoe & Rocky. Though it’s not like there isn’t ground for Briscoe teaming with Hobbs when they were the ones that confronted the Murder Machines last week.
Good promo from Bandido to respond to Jericho and call him out, and Johnny TV wanting a match with him is interesting. I suppose Johnny can take a loss for Bandido to get some momentum back before having it out with Jericho one more time. Good promo from MJF to set up meeting with MVP next week. I can’t be sure which way he’s going to swerve us. Mentioning he needs back up to take on The Death Riders would make me think he accepts MVP’s offer, but referencing Adam Cole turning on him makes me think he won’t. It’d make the most sense if he accepted the help, because it’s means to an end.
Great match from Ospreay VS Fox, and a great win for Ospreay to keep his momentum up from Revolution. I do appreciate him selling the damage from Revolution to add some doubt into his story. Ospreay will surely make it to the finals of the Owen Hart Cup, but his odds of winning shifted the moment Hangman Page said he’d be in. Hangman was denied the Cup last year, he might make good on a second attempt, especially if Swerve wins at Dynasty. Moxley VS Cope being a Street Fight went about how I expected: The entrances turned into a brawl, that brawl went all over the place, and then there was major overbooking. As such, Moxley wins, honestly making him look weak for it, but I suppose most Heel champs do end up like that.
FTR being part of the save that didn’t help Cope win, that’s a clever way of adding to the frustrations of FTR that is also sending them down a Heel path. Granted, this moment in itself, with Dax being the most upset and not even wanting Cash to talk to him feels out of place. There should’ve been something like this even before the “frustrations” from facing Undisputed Kingdom showed up. Chalk it up to more of TK’s backwards booking like he’s done with Jericho feuds. But I don’t see FTR breaking up, Cash will just start to see things Dax’s way and FTR goes Heel again as they keep after the AEW World Tag Team Championships.
Very good matches made for Collision and the awkward two-parter it has to pull because of NCAA basketball. Hart VS Aminata is going to be really good, but Aminata’s feud with Deeb is still on standby, so I think Hart wins out. And great main event from Megan and Kris tonight, with Toni doing another excellent job on commentary. Great win for Megan, and great brawl from her and Toni before Toni makes it official. Toni is a master at innuendos in her promos. That title match is going to be awesome, but I would think Toni finds a way to retain. Megan is great, but it might be a bit too soon for her to be world champion.

Roderick Strong tells, “KYYYLE~! Tonight, we prove to FTR that we are the best tag team on planet Earth.” Kyle O’Reilly says, “That’s right, Roddy.” They beat FTR once, and it was no fluke. Tonight, they do it again. Adam Cole says, “And that is undisputed.”
FTR speaks.
Cash Wheeler says, “So a few weeks ago, we made a mistake that cost us the match against Roddy & Kyle. But tonight, here in Vegas, put all your money, bet the house, on FTR.” Dax Harwood says, “I imagine if you guys beat FTR, that’ll put you right in line for an AEW World Tag Team title shot. I’m not gonna apologize for spoiling your party, but it ain’t happening at our expense. Top Guys Out.” But will Dax & Cash make good on this rematch? Or will this be a bet they lose big time?

We heard how the One & Only thinks he should be the one that faces Kenny Omega, but he’ll have to get through The Wrestler! Will Shibata knock Ricochet off his high horse to then represent Japan in the Fatal 4 Way? Or will Ricochet make up for losing to Swerve Strickland at Revolution?
The bell rings and the fans rally for Shibata. Shibata and Ricochet circle, but Ricochet stays back. Ricochet is wary as Shibata steps closer, and he goes up a corner to tell fans to calm down. Ricochet and Shibata tie up, Ricochet headlocks and wrenches, but Shibata wrenches back. Shibata then KICKS Ricochet in the leg! Ricochet hobbles away to a corner, and he walks off the pain. The fans boo, Ricochet tells them to shut up, and he ties up with Shibata. Ricochet headlocks, but Shibata powers up and out. Ricochet runs Shibata over, then keeps moving, but Shibata sits up! Ricochet stays back, and he tells Shibata to stand up.
The fans rally for Shibata as he stays seated, legs and arms crossed. Ricochet runs up, Shibata ducks the kick, then stands, only for Ricochet to CHOP! And CHOP! And CHOP again! Shibata brushes himself off, swings, but Ricochet dodges. Ricochet kicks and whips but Shibata reverses. Ricochet rolls over Shibata’s back, ducks a lariat, but not the CHOP! The fans fire up while Ricochet is stinging! Shibata then KICKS Ricochet in the back! Ricochet goes to the ropes, the fans rally up, and Shibata storms up. Ricochet uses the ropes as a defense, Shibata kicks anyway, but Ricochet blocks to HOTSHOT the leg!
Ricochet goes back to the apron and he springboards to FLYING LARIAT! Down goes Shibata, the fans boo, but Ricochet eggs them on. Ricochet goes out to fetch Shibata, and he RAMS Shibata into the barriers! Ricochet tells the fans to shut their mouths, then he RAMS Shibata into the apron! Shibata falls to the mat, Ricochet taunts the fans, then he puts Shibata in the ring. Ricochet runs and basement UPPERCUTS Shibata in the back! Ricochet sits Shibata up to KNEE him in the back, and KNEE him again. The fans boo but Ricochet brings Shibata up, snapmares and STANDING MOONSAULTS! Cover, TWO!
The fans cheer as Shibata stays in this, but Ricochet taunts them again as Collision goes picture in picture.
Ricochet drags Shibata up, and he RAMS Shibata into the corner! And RAMS him again, sits him down, and digs his boots in. The ref counts, Ricochet steps off, and Ricochet taunts the fans more. Ricochet digs his boots in, scrubs Shibata’s face, but lets off as the ref counts. Ricochet drags Shibata up, whips him corner to corner hard, and Shibata bounces off buckles. Ricochet flexes, then gets on a corner to soak up all that heat. Ricochet goes back to Shibata, digs his boot into Shibata’s head, and the ref counts. Ricochet puts Shibata on the ropes to CHOKE him! The ref counts, Ricochet steps off, and Ricochet is arguing with the fans sone more.
Ricochet CHOPS Shibata, CHOPS again, but Shibata isn’t even bothered! So Ricochet CLAWS Shibata’s eyes! The ref counts, Ricochet stops, and then Ricochet scoops Shibata to SLAM him! Ricochet runs for an ELBOW DROP! Cover, TWO! Shibata stays in this and Ricochet grows frustrated. Ricochet scuffs Shibata, eggs him on, then kicks him! Collision returns to single picture as Ricochet CHOPS! And CHOPS! Shibata stands up, the fans fire up, and Ricochet fires forearms! Shibata ROCKS Ricochet! Ricochet falls against Shibata, Shibata eggs him on then runs. But Ricochet DROPKICKS Shibata down! The fans boo while Ricochet snarls.
Fans chant, “You Still Suck!” Ricochet taunts Shibata that the fans know better. Ricochet then sits cross-legged, all to taunt Shibata. Shibata sits up and crosses his legs now, and he eggs Ricochet on. Ricochet CHOPS, then SLAPS, but Shibata just eggs him on. Ricochet fires SLAP after SLAP, but Shibata isn’t even bothered! Ricochet says fine, Shibata should try. Shibata holds Ricochet back by his bald head! Then he CLAWS at the head! The IRON CLAW as learned from the Von Erichs! Shibata whips Ricochet to a corner for a BOOT! Ricochet sputters, Shibata rains down forearms, then Shibata runs corner to corner! HYDRAULIC feint to SLAP that bald head!!
The fans fire up as Shibata brings Ricochet up. HALF HATCH! Cover, TWO! Ricochet stays in this, goes to ropes, but Shibata blocks a kick. Shibata UPPERCUTS, whips, but Ricochet reverses to NORTHERN LIGHTS! Roll through, deadlift, and BRAINBUSTER! But Shibata’s right up to GERMAN SUPLEX! Ricochet flounders, Shibata rises, and “This is Awesome!” as both men stand. Shibata runs up, Ricochet BOOTS, SOBATS, and KNEES him back! Then ROLLING ELBOWS! Ricochet dodges a haymaker to handspring, but into an ANKLE LOCK, and then an STF!! Ricochet endures, reaches out, but the fans fire up for him to “TAP! TAP! TAP!”
Ricochet claws his way forward, brings Shibata along, and has the ROPEBREAK! Shibata lets go, stomps Ricochet, then drags him up. Shibata waistlocks, Ricochet fights the lift, so Shibata has the SLEEPER! Ricochet RAMS Shibata into a corner, ELBOWS him, but Shibata clamps back on! SLEEPER! Ricochet powers up to fireman’s carry, DETONATION KICK! Shibata falls, Ricochet runs, LIONSAULT! Cover, TWO! Shibata is still in this, but Ricochet keeps moving! STANDING SHOOTING STAR! Cover, TWO! Shibata survives the onslaught and the fans rally up even more. Ricochet gets mad now, and he brings Shibata up.
Ricochet dragon sleepers, for the VERTI- NO, Shibata slips out and has the SLEEPER! Ricochet snapmares free fast, but Shibata dodges a lariat to have the SLEEPER! After a hearty evening of filling up slots, hitting on anything over 21, and making Wayne Newton scream Danke Schoen, I am ready for some Collision. And there is no one I would like to collide with more than Megan Bayne. What sort of perverted fanfiction did they write you up in, hey? You want to blindside me in my spotlight? Then I would love to see what you will do in front of my face.
“Darling, you want to swim around like some sort of hammerhead terrorizing the guppies of AEW waters? Then I have no problem making shark fin soup, and then being put away again for animal cruelty. Lexy Nair is with La Mera Mera and says given everything that’s happened between her and Megan Bayne, she mentioned Megan’s lack of respect. How does this affect Rosa going into the match tonight? Rosa asks, “Do you know what this business is built on? It is built on respect. And there are women here who think that they’re too big and too pretty or maybe too good to come and respect the women who come and lay themselves for this business and AEW. Yes, Megan Bayne, I’m talking too! I’m so sick and tired of you disrespecting me! Disrespecting Kris Statlander!
“And let’s talk about what you did to Toni Storm last Wednesday! You don’t do that to our champion. And guess what? Thunder Rosa, La Mera Mera, has bigger ovaries than your braincells! So tonight, I’m gonna teach you a lesson in-” MEGAN BAYNE ATTACKS NOW! Megan fires off knees on Rosa, CLUBS her down, then KICKS her in the side! Megan stands over Rosa and smiles before she storms off. Rosa clutches her side and says her ribs hurt. Lexy calls for a medic, did Megan just disrespectfully cancel tonight’s match?

Dunkzilla is all warmed up after helping beat down random guys in the back, but he’s gonna have to #ManUp if he wants to do that to the former ROH World Champion! Will the United States of America have three-fourths representation in the Fatal 4 Way? Or will Davis win this one for Aussie Open?
The bell rings, the fans fire up for Briscoe, and he circles with Davis. They tie up, Davis powers Briscoe to a corner, but the ref counts. Davis lets off slowly, but Briscoe avoids a chop to CHOP! Briscoe eggs Davis on, then dodges to waistlock. Davis elbows free, whips, but Briscoe ducks a boto! Briscoe then Crane Kicks! And UPPERCUTS! And HAYMAKERS! Briscoe has Davis in a corner to CHOP! Briscoe CLUBS and ROCKS Davis, then ROCKS him again. Briscoe winds up, REDNECK KUNG-FU UPPERCUT! Briscoe whips, Davis reverses, and Davis BACKDROPS Briscoe! The fans boo but Davis storms back up on Briscoe.
Davis stands Briscoe up to put him in a corner, and he LARIATS! Then he hits a BIG back suplex! And SENTONS! The fans boo but Davis soaks that up while Briscoe goes to the apron. Davis storms up, Briscoe RAMS into him, then Briscoe DUMPS Davis out! Briscoe builds speed and the fans fire up as Briscoe FLIES! Direct hit and the fans fire up! They high-five with Briscoe, he looks under the ring, and he brings out a chair! The chair is thrown into the ring but the ref says no, that’s not this kind of match. Davis drags Briscoe out of the ring to THROW into railing! Davis then scoops Briscoe, but Briscoe slips free to POST Davis!
Briscoe gets the chair back! The fans cheer and Briscoe puts it on the apron. Briscoe uses it to FLY, and down goes Davis again! The fans fire up for Briscoe, and Collision goes picture in picture.
Briscoe puts Davis in the ring, climbs up a corner, and he leaps, only for Davis to get under! Davis runs in at the corner and LARIATS Mark, to then short arm LARIAT him down! Davis has Briscoe on ropes to LARIAT him again! Briscoe flops out to the ramp, Davis goes out after him, and runs to LARIAT Briscoe back into the ring! Davis stalks Briscoe, then runs to LARIAT again! Davis soaks up the heat while Briscoe is down. Davis kicks Briscoe’s chair off the apron, then he SENTONS onto Briscoe! Cover, TWO! Briscoe stays in this but Davis stays on him with a body scissors! Davis squeezes Briscoe but Briscoe endures.
Briscoe fights around, reaches out, ROPEBREAK! Briscoe escapes by a literal foot, and Davis lets go in frustration, but Collision goes to break.
Collision returns, both men are up top, and Briscoe fights off the suplex with body shots! Briscoe fires forearms, then he BITES Davis’ face! Briscoe shoves Davis down, then MISSILE DROPKICKS! The fans fire up while both Marks are down! A standing count starts, the fans rally up, and Briscoe rises. Briscoe dodges Davis’ chop to CHOP! And then he CHOPS again! And CHOPS again! Davis puts Briscoe in the corner to CHOP, CHOP, and CHOP! But Briscoe CHOPS, CHOPS, and CHOPS again! Davis CHOPS, CHOPS, and CHOPS, but then Briscoe CHOPS, ROCKS, and CHOPS! Briscoe fires forearms in the corner, but Davis turns things around.

Briscoe hooks a leg, but Davis fights free! Davis ROCKS Briscoe, then bumps him off buckles. Then a DRAGON SUPLEX!
Davis runs up and KNEES Briscoe down! Cover, TWO!! Briscoe survives but Davis pursues him to the outside again. The fans rally up for Briscoe but Davis brings him around. Davis gets Briscoe up, but Briscoe fights the bomb! Briscoe is on the apron and he BOOTS Davis! Then BLOCKBUSTER to the floor! The fans fire up for Briscoe, and he gets on the barriers! Briscoe says BANG BANG, and then a FOLEY ELBOW DROP! The fans fire up more, they help Briscoe stand, and he puts Davis in the ring. Briscoe winds up, runs, and LARIATS! Down goes Davis! But Briscoe isn’t done, he hurries to fisherman and BUSTER! Cover, TWO!!
Davis survives and shocks everyone! Briscoe is shocked, but he fires back up and calls his shot! The fans fire up more, and Briscoe hooks the arms. Cole is fired up for his team, but Garcia says FTR is the best at isolating a single opponent. The fans rally up as FTR watches Kyle. But that lets Roddy slip in! Roddy shoves Cash into Dax, then he runs to WRECK Cash with a dropkick! Kyle tags Roddy in, Roddy KNEES Dax against ropes! Feed to Kyle’s KNEE! Then AX & STRONG SMASH!! Cover, TWO!?! Dax survives and Cole admits, Dax is resilient. Kyle & Roddy KICK and CHOP Dax again and again, but Cash rushes in! Roddy kicks Cash, gives him to Kyle, CHOP and BRAINBUSTER! Dax comes back to fire haymakers and CHOPS on Roddy & Kyle!
Dax fires a flurry on Roddy, then runs, but into a KNEE from Kyle! SWEEP THE LEG OUTTA NOWHERE!! Cover, but Cash BARRELS in and breaks it! Cole is beside himself but Garcia and the fans all applaud. All four men are down in the ring but the fans cheer them on. FTR and the Kingdom stand and start throwing forearms back and forth! The brawl picks up speed, Roddy DECKS Dax! Kyle KICKS Cash down, then gets him back up. But Dax saves Cash from the suplex! Dax dodges Roddy & Kyle to shove them into each other! Kyle falls, Dax waistlocks Roddy and Cash goes up and over them both.
Cash sets up, Roddy is sent into SHATTER MACHINE!!! Cover, KYLE DRAGS DAX OUT!! Now Cole is the one fire dup, but Cash DIVES onto Kyle! Cash puts Roddy back in, Dax covers, ROPEBREAK!! The ref sees it this time, so there’s no questioning it! “This is Wrestling!” as Dax calls to Cash. We hit the five minute warning, Dax stands Roddy up. Dax CHOPS, but Roddy fires off forearms and elbows on FTR! Dax CHOPS again, fans hope these teams “FIGHT FOREVER!” Dax JABS, JABS, and ROCKS Roddy! Roddy falls back, Dax storms up and talks trash. Dax even fires up the fans! Dax hoists Roddy up top, then CHOPS again!
Cash tags in and Dax climbs up! SUPERPLEX for the Power! SPLASH onto knees! Kyle KING KONG KNEE DROPS on Dax!! Roddy covers Cash, TWO!! This match is a roller coaster of emotions for Cole and Garcia, and even the fans! Kyle says it’s time, and Roddy runs, SWEEP THE- NO, Dax pushes Kyle away! SHATTER MACHINE!!! Cover, FTR WINS!!!
Winner: FTR, by pinfall
Cole is fuming but he hurries to ringside to check on his guys. Garcia thanks Schiavone & Nigel for welcoming him, and he excuses himself to go celebrate with his Top Guys. No flukes here, but now Cole and Garcia have one week to prepare for their own showdown. They stare down now, and Cole offers a handshake. Garcia takes it, the fans cheer the respect, and then Roddy & Kyle offer the same. FTR still leaves The Kingdom hanging? Even Garcia is surprised by that. But will there still be respect for Cole and Garcia after their Slam Dunk Saturday showdown?
My Thoughts:
A great Collision here, but I’m still not much for cold open promos. It’s really only an issue when trying to keep up and write stuff like this, because the wrestlers still do a great job. It just seems unnecessary when there are other promos both tonight and during the week that help us understand story. I can’t say for sure, but I doubt there are fans watching only Collision and not Dynamite. Just get to Ricochet VS Shibata as the opening moment for even more of a great match. As I predicted on Wednesday, we got both Heels winning tonight since Orange Cassidy and Mike Bailey won on Wednesday.
Great promo from Toni Storm, and a good one from Rosa, but I could just feel an attack ready to happen for Rosa’s. Megan Bayne is clearly building up to be that next challenger, she damages Rosa before their match, and then has a fairly easy time with Rosa in the match. Toni making the save only to need saving was also a nice twist. As I said on Dynamite, this next feud is about Toni overcoming someone so much bigger and stronger than her. Think like Rocky 4 and Rocky having to fight Ivan Drago. At the same time, if Megan & Penelope find a third, they can have a pretty good Six Woman Tag with Toni, Rosa & Kris. Gasp. Willow shocking us by going Heel because it’s Kris?
Very good promo from Swerve to put Ricochet over just a little bit. Swerve calling out both Cope and Moxley equally was also good, and of course Moxley would attack Swerve. He got payback from how Revolution ended, and gives one more ultimatum of his own before the Street Fight with Cope. Also, I wonder if the ambulances in the parking lot acts as foreshadowing. After all, Cope and friends hospitalized Pac, Claudio & Marina, and they’ll be coming back for revenge of their own. It’s half the reason the stipulation is “Street Fight,” aka no disqualifications and nothing to be done should they ALL attack and screw Cope over.
Good stuff from the Don Callis Family just wrecking people, but there is some match order and basically filler stuff going on that was just weird. Commentary called the Six Man Tag the “standby” match, aka the match they didn’t think they’d put on tonight, but no, no, no. Hobbs crushing The Frat House should’ve been the “standby” match, no way should The Frat House be getting on an AEW card on purpose. But that aside, Outrunners getting to help Hobbs was good stuff, and I’m sure we’ll get a Six Man Tag from that. And if Hobbs was going to get involved alongside Briscoe in going after Don Callis Family, why not just let this be Hobbs’ thing instead of that filler?
Sadly, Top Flight & Hologram VS STP wasn’t much better in the end. It was less about that actual match and more about plugging The Cru back into a story with Top Flight, and making a story out of “Harley-gram” and Mortos. Beauty & The Beast Mortos is going to be quite the romcom. But why is Harley being relegated to this when she was doing so well as herself? Good promo from Abrahantes to call out LFI and set up a tag match, though. Komander & Hologram VS Dralistico & Mortos is going to be fast ‘n’ furious, but I already have a feeling Harley’s presence is going to cost LFI.
At least FTR VS Kyle & Roddy was an awesome main event, bordering on PPV worthy. Cole and Garcia on commentary was some good stuff, but obviously all about plugging their title match next week. I figured FTR would win, but it feels like they’re slowly turning Heel. They didn’t show respect at the end there, and Dax has been on that “I’m not gonna apologize” thing for a few weeks. I don’t know if Garcia is going to start using that same attitude or if he cuts ties with them because of it. But Cole VS Garcia will be awesome stuff, and hard to call. Would they really do a title change on an episode that is partially preempted because of basketball? It’d give fans reasons to actually care about Collision.
