Drilla RAMS Takagi again, neither man falls, and the fans fire up! Drilla fires a forearm, but Takagi fires back! Drilla fires another, but so does Takagi! Fans bark with Drilla as he fires another, but then fans “OI! OI! OI!” with Takagi! The forearms go back and forth, “BARK! OI!” and repeat! Takagi gets the edge, “OI! OI! OI!” Drilla fires back, “BARK! BARK! BARK!” Takagi ELBOWS! JABS! YUKON feint, but Drilla slips out of the DDT!
Takagi avoids the double stomps, knees low, but then things speed up. Drilla hurdles, drops down, then DROPKICKS! But Takagi stays up to RUN Drilla over! The fans fire up again and Takagi storms up on Drilla. Takagi drags Drilla up to suplex high and hard! Cover, TWO! Drilla is still in this, but Takagi fires Osaka up. But Drilla SUPERKICKS Takagi before he can even say “Toki!” Both men are down, the fans rally up, and Drilla stands. Drilla fires the fans up now and the barking returns. Drilla storms up to CHOP Takagi! Drilla whips, Takagi reverses, and Takagi blocks a boot to LARIAT through!
Takagi fires the fans up as he JABS and CHOPS on repeat! Then Takagi JABS, JABS, JABS, and CHOPS! Drilla pushes Takagi and eggs him on! The fans like that, and Takagi obliges, only for Drilla to block the shot! Drilla ROCKS Takagi, but Takagi ducks the enzigiri to deadlift GERMAN SUPLEX! But Drilla’s right up to SAIDO! Both men stand, Takagi runs up, and DOUBLE LARIATS hit! Drilla ripcords to CHOP, then he runs, only for Takagi to follow and LARIAT! Takagi runs, but into a SPINEBUSTER! The fans fire up while both men are down. Takagi rolls out of the ring but Drilla pursues.
The fans rally both ways, and Drilla stalks Takagi. Drilla drags Takagi up, then whips him into railing! Takagi slumps down, but Drilla brings Takagi around to throw him into chairs! The fans bark for Drilla and he drags Takagi up. Drilla ROCKS Takagi, then brings him around and whips him hard into more railing! The fans are torn, Drilla glares at Young Lions, and Drilla goes to Takagi. Drilla wrenches Takagi, puts him in the ring, and then throws up the Too Sweet. Drilla brings Takagi up, but Takagi backdrops free! Drilla goes to a corner, Takagi runs up, but Drilla dodges to GAMANGIRI! Drilla reels Takagi in, hoists him up, but Takagi arm-drags free!
The fans fire up as Takagi ELBOWS! JABS! YUKON feints, but then Takagi stands Drilla up to JAB and YUKON LARIAT! The fans fire up while Drilla sputters. Takagi drags Drilla up, hoists him to the top rope, and then he ROCKS Drilla! Takagi climbs, and he brings Drilla up for a SUPER DUPER PLEX! The fans fire up while both men are down again! The fans fire up, Takagi crawls over to Drilla, and Takagi stands Drilla up to LARIAT! Drilla stays on his feet so Takagi eggs him on. Drilla BOOTS, SUPERKICKS, then he SUPERKICKS again! Drilla staggers, but into a PUMPING BOMBER!! The fans are thunderous again as Takagi hauls Drilla up for the torture rack! But Drilla slips free, to inverted suplex, and then he pops Takagi around?! Shota drags Khan up, but Khan grabs railing. Shota CLUBS Khan down, UPPERCUTS, then UPPERCUTS again!
Shota whips Khan, but Khan reverses, sending Shota into railing! But Shota comes back to SHOTGUN again! The fans are torn but Shota drags Khan up. Shota aims from a corner, runs up on Khan, but into a LARIAT! IRON CLAW, then ELIMI- SATELLITE DDT!! Both men are down again and the fans rally back up. Shota rises, goes back to a corner, and then powers up, to BLAZE BLADE! But Khan’s right up! Khan swings, but into underhooks! PARADIGM SHIFT! Cover, TWO!! Khan survives but Shota hurries to bring him around. Underhooks, but Khan slips out to RABBIT PUNCH! Shota goes down in a heap, but Khan rains down more forearms! The ref warns Khan, he has to check Shota! Khan SHOVES the ref down to rain more shots down on Shota!
The ref reprimands, Khan stops with the forearms, just to grab Shota’s hair. The ref stops Khan and checks on Shota. Khan comes back, drags Shota to his feet, REVERSE S T O! Cover, TWO!! Shota still has something to give, but Khan’s Monster Rage boils over! Khan clamps on the IRON CLAW, hauls Shota back up, and he ELIMIN- NO, Shota slips free! Khan runs up, Shota dodges, and uses the ropes in a TORNADO DDT! Shota hurries to bring Khan up, underhook, but Khan NORTHERN LIGHTS free! Khan then drags Shota up with wristlocks, into HITSUJIGOROSHI! Shota endures, flails, but Khan swings him around! Shota slips free to spin Khan, and ROLLING ELBOW! Then ROLLING- IRON RIGHT from Khan!!
The fans fire up while Shota staggers around. Khan clamps onto Shota with the FLATLINER, and then IRON CLAW! ELIMINATOR!! Cover, KHAN WINS!

The Roughneck was running hot, but Khan just cooled him down! Khan stands tall over Shota, but then he grabs the clippers! Khan has them, and even some scissors, but Young Lions stop him! Khan just kicks one and throws him into the other! Khan now has Shota all to himself! Khan turns on the clippers, but Shota stops him! Shota has power enough to take the trimmers from Khan! But then Shota stares at them, and starts shaving his head anyway?! Fans are shocked to see Shota doing Khan’s work for him, cutting away at the fiery red locks! Khan grins, and Shota flops over, having only done a runway down the center.
Khan leaves Shota behind for Shota to wallow in his humiliation and defeat. What and who will Khan look to conquer next in the name of the United Empire?
Taichi w/ Taka Michinoku VS SANADA w/ Taiji Ishimori!
When Just4Guys became Just5Guys, it was because the Holy Emperor reached out to a man he respected in the Cold Skull. And while Sanada reigned as world champion for a time, it would seem his losses made him Cold Blooded. Sanada would betray Taichi, all to join The Rebel that beat him, and there’s no more respect here. Will Taichi make Sanada pay for his betrayal? Or will Sanada destroy what’s left of Just4Guys?
As if to mock Taichi’s operatic entrance, Sanada has a leather jacket with big speakers on the jacket, and a guitar in hand. But speaking of that entrance, the moment Taichi is ringside, Sanada PLANCHAS onto him! The fans fire up but the ref reprimands, only for Sanada to push Taichi into the ring. Sanada then grabs his guitar! The ref reprimands, the fans cheer on Taichi, but Sanada takes aim! Taichi avoids the Smash Hit to then kick low! Taichi whips, Sanada reverses, but Taichi BOOTS him down! The fans fire up while Taichi seethes. Taichi then grabs the guitar? The ref says don’t do it, as does Taka, and Taichi throws the guitar aside.
The fans cheer as Taichi storms back out after Sanada. The ref reprimands, this isn’t even a match yet! Taichi whips but Sanada reverses! Taichi hits railing, but he comes back to BOOT Sanada! Taichi then whips Sanada into railing after all! Sanada hobbles away while the fans rally behind Taichi. The bell rings now, but Taichi has a chair! The ref stops Taichi, only for Taichi to shove him aside! Taichi JAMS Sanada up with a chair! Then SMACKS him on the back! The fans cheer while Sanada falls in a heap! Taichi stalks Sanada, daring him to get back up. The ref keeps Taiji from getting involved, and Taka has Taichi calm down.
Taka takes the chair from Taichi, and Taichi finally takes off his coat. Taichi drags Sanada up, puts him in the ring, and the fans applaud. But Sanada grabs at the ref so Taiji can anchor Taichi! Taichi tries to kick free, but Sanada KICKS the ropes! Taichi gets jammed up low, Taka goes after Taiji, but Taiji CLAWS Taka’s face! Sanada drags Taichi up to then suplex and MAGIC SCREW! The fans boo Sanada, Sanada complains about the chair, but nothing the ref can do about it now. Sanada rains down fists on Taichi, the ref reprimands, but Sanada lets off. Sanada paces, then he sits Taichi up to throw a haymaker!
The ref reprimands about closed fists, but Sanada just throws another! Taichi eggs Sanada on, so Sanada fires more haymakers! Taichi gets in Sanada’s face, so Sanada dropkicks the leg! Taichi hobbles back, Sanada whips him to ropes, but Taichi grabs ropes to BOOT back! Taichi then whips, but Sanada reverses, only for Taichi to reverse back, and RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP! The fans fire up while both men are down. Taichi sits up, and he watches Sanada go to the corner. Taichi paces while he wants on Sanada to stand. Taichi runs up to BOOT Sanada! Taichi runs, Sanada dodges, but then Taichi dodges! Taichi wrenches to HOOK KICK! Cover, TWO!
The fans rally up more as Taichi paces around. Taichi kicks Sanada, kicks him again, then KICKS him again! The fans cheer, but now Sanada eggs Taichi on. Taichi KICKS Sanada again, and he definitely felt that one! Taichi sits Sanada up, and KICKS, but Sanada blocks! Sanada CLUBS the leg, fireman’s carries, but Taichi slips free! Only for Sanada to dropkick the leg again! And then he DROPKICKS Taichi to a corner! Sanada runs up, but Taichi dodges to GAMANGIRI! Sanada slumps down and the fans fire up! Taichi fires up now, and the fans fire up even more as OFF COME THE PANTS! Taichi aims at Sanada, TENSHO- NO, Sanada dodges!
Sanada goes up, out, springboards, and MISSILE DROPKICKS! But Taichi’s right up! ROUNDHOUSE, and then DANGEROUS- NO, Sanada grabs the ref to stop the saido! LOW BLOW MULE KICK!! The fans boo as Sanada gets away with it! SHINING WIZARD! Sanada isn’t done, he puts Taichi in the drop zone! Sanada goes up, up and ROUNDING BODY PRESS! Cover, TWO!! Taichi survives and the fans fire up! Sanada is frustrated but he drags Taichi up. Sanada encourages the fans to cheer Taichi, as he clinches for SIDE- NO, Taichi slips free and ROCKS Sanada! BLINDSIDE AX BOMBER, then GAMANGIRI!
The fans fire up while both men are down again! Taiji coaches Sanada, Taka coaches Taichi, and Osaka rallies again. Taichi rises first, goes to a corner, and he roars! The fans are with him as he takes aim again. Sanada stirs, Taichi powers up, TENSHO- NO, Sanada pulls the ref in! Taichi pushes the ref aside, BUZZ- NO, Sanada blocks that kick! Taichi shouts to the ref to see the FAKE LOW BLOW! Sanada won’t get away with this one as Taka also vouches for Taichi! Sanada gets pissed at the ref and says it’s so obvious! But then Taka argues with the ref, and Taichi LOW BLOWS Sanada!! And then GEDO CLUTCH!! TWO!!!
Sanada escapes, Taiji shouts to the ref, and Taichi runs, AX BOMBER!! Taka YANKS Taiji down and the fans are thunderous for Taichi! Taichi drags Sanada up, DANGEROUS SAIDO BRIDGE!! TWO!?!? Sanada escapes but the fans are thunderous again! Taichi roars, he drags Sanada up, and Taichi Alabama Lifts! Sanada grabs the ref again! Taichi drops Sanada, the ref falls, Sanada hits the POP-UP LOW BLOW! DEADFALL!! Cover, SANADA WINS!!

Another cheap tactic, another cheap win for Sanada! He gives thumbs up and Too Sweet to Taiji, and then he rains down fists on Taichi! Taka and Young Lions get in there, and Taka SLAPS Sanada! And he SLAPS Taiji! But Taiji LOW BLOWS Taka and hits BLOODY CROSS! The War Dogs keep on winning, but they’re not done with Taichi! Taiji drags Taichi up while Sanada grabs his guitar. Taiji says to end Taichi, and Sanada nods. Sanada winds up, BUT WAIT! YUYA UEMURA is back?! He throws off his suit jacket to then arm-drag Sanada, and DROPKICK him! The fans are thunderous as he arm-drags Taiji, then CHOPS him down!
The fans are all fired up now that Heat Storm is back! Yuya clamps onto Sanada with one cording hold, then goes for the other, but Sanada scrambles free! Sanada takes a moment to catch his breath, and the fans now rally for Yuya. Yuya grabs the mic to tell Sanada that he’s back, and that he’s ready anytime, anywhere to get his revenge! Sanada will become Yuya’s stepping stone! Sanada looks to camera and shakes his head like, “He did not just say that.” The fans cheer Yuya on more, but the War Dogs take their leave. Yuya continues with “YOSH! Taka-san, Taichi-san, and everyone here in Osaka, Uemura is back, and he’s ready to blow!”
Yuya adds that from now on, HE will be the one to heat up everyone’s hearts! Mic drop and the fans are already fired up! But when and where will the Heat Storm get to burn the Cold Blooded Sanada?
IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championships: Robbie Eagles & Kosei Fujita VS Rocky Romero & YOH!
From winning the Super Junior Tag League to then winning these titles in a huge Fatal 4 Way, the Ichiban Sweet Boys have been riding high. However, the revival of a classic threatens their reign. Will “Roppongi ReVICE” write a new chapter with this gold? Or will they find that no matter what, The Mighty Don’t Kneel?
The introductions are made, the belts are raised, and we see who punctuates this story!
The teams sort out and after he assures Yoh it’s fine, Azucar starts against the Sniper of the Skies. The bell rings, the fans rally up, and Eagles circles with Rocky. They tie up, are in a deadlock, but Rocky finds a point of leverage to push Eagles back. They go to ropes, the ref counts, and Rocky lets off to give some Azucar Heat. The fans cheer and Eagles is amused. But then he trips Rocky, goes for the leg, but Rocky kicks him away. Things speed up, Rocky hurdles but Eagles leaps over. Eagles sidesteps, arm-drags, but Rocky arm-drags back. Rocky avoids Eagles’ next arm-drag, then calls him a “konoyaro” before he UPPERCUTS!
Eagles flounders away while the fans fire up, and the fans rally behind Rocky. Rocky whips Eagles, Fujita sneaks a tag. TMDK double elbow Rocky down, then split the wishbone! Eagles knocks Yoh down for good measure, and Fujita brings Rocky up. Fujita whips and wrenches Rocky to a corner, then CHOPS! The fans cheer and Fujita runs Rocky to ropes. Fujita CHOPS Rocky again, then snapmares for a KICK! Cover, ONE, and the fans cheer more. Fujita is on Rocky with a facelock, and Eagles tags in. The Sweet Boys mug Rocky, but then Rocky CHOPS Eagles! Eagles eggs Rocky on so Rocky CHOPS again! Eagles CHOPS Rocky off his feet!
The fans rally and duel, Eagles bumps Rocky off buckles, then Fujita tags in. Fujita stomps Rocky, brings him around, and CHOPS again! Rocky shoves Fujita, they go forehead to forehead, then Fujita CHOPS Rocky down again! The fans fire up and Fujita whips. Rocky grabs ropes, BOOTS Fujita, and Yoh tags in! Rocky whips Fujita and Yoh bypasses him. Drop toehold, basement dropkick, and then Eagles runs in! Eagles takes DOUBLE DROPKICKS and the fans cheer RPG ReVice! Yoh storms up to Fujita, CHOPS him in the corner, then wrenches and whips. Yoh runs up, ELBOWS Fujita, then scoops to SLAM him!
Yoh soaks up the cheers, drops an elbow, then cover, TWO! Knee drop! Cover, TWO! SPLASH! Cover, TWO! Fujita stays in this and the fans cheer, but Yoh keeps his cool. Yoh brings Fujita up, but Fujita fires forearms! Yoh kicks low, CHOPS Fujita, then reels him in. Yoh suplexes but Fujita fights free! Fujita wrenches, but Yoh ducks the chop! Fujita drop toeholds Yoh and ties up the legs! Fujita pulls Yoh back into the NEMESIS HOLD! Rocky runs in, but Eagles catches him with a wheelbarrow and victory roll! Eagles steps through on the legs, but Rocky KICKS him into Yoh and Fujita! Yoh is saved, though maybe in a rather rough manor.
The fans rally up as all four men rise up. Eagles runs up, Rocky DUMPS him out, but Fujita CHOPS Rocky! Fujita whips Rocky, Rocky ducks the chop to DIVE onto Eagles! Fujita dodges Yoh, CHOPS him, but Yoh says I’LL BE BACK! Yoh CHOPS, but Fujita rebounds to GAMANGIRI! The fans fire up while Yoh tumbles out, and now Fujita aims! Fujita slingshots to feint the plancha, then he ASAI MOONSAULTS, only for RPG ReVICE to catch him! The fans fire up as Yoh & Rocky now DOUBLE SUPLEX Fujita to the floor! Eagles is up, but Yoh scoops and SLAMS him! Rocky goes to the apron, to DIVING DOUBLE STOMP to the floor!
Eagles coughs and sputters while the fans fire up! Yoh drags Fujita back up and puts him in the ring. Rocky is there, RPG ReVICE tunes up and the fans join in. Fujita rises slowly, into a shove and 3- NO! Fujita RANAS Yoh away! Rocky spins Fujita to UPPERCUT, then he calls to Yoh again. Yoh is back, he aims while Rocky whips, but Fujita reverses! SUPERKICK for Rocky! Fujita then waistlocks Yoh to roll him and O’Conner BRIDGE! TWO!! Yoh escapes just in time! Fujita CHOPS him, roars, then runs, into a 3K!! Cover, EAGLES BREAKS IT! The fans are thunderous, but Rocky kicks Eagles! Rocky tells Yoh to get up!
Yoh rises, reloads, and Rocky whips Eagles, only for Eagles to reverse! But Rocky stops himself from having a repeat, and he again whips Eagles! Yoh SUPERKICKS Eagles! Finally, the right target gets hit! Eagles tumbles out, Rocky goes to the corner, and Yoh tags Rocky in. RPG ReVICE hauls Fujita up, BACKSTABBER and feed to the suplex! Rocky joins in, FALCON ARROW BOMB!! Rocky high stacks, TWO!! Fujita survives again, but Rocky calls for the next one! Yoh hauls Fujita up and Alabama Lifts! Rocky climbs up top, but Eagles springboards up to get him! SUPER STEINER! And Fujita SUNSET FLIP BOMBS Yoh!
The fans fire up again as all four men are down! The teams regroup, then they all go to corners. The fans rally as all four men stand, and then Rocky runs at Eagles! Eagles BOOTS Rocky, Yoh UPPERCUTS Fujita! Eagles ducks Yoh’s superkick to then CHOP! TMDK double whip, but Yoh crisscrosses them, only to get a ENZIGIRI HEEL KICK COMBO! Yota hurries to haul Gabe up, POWERBOMB! A very Finlay looking one at that! Then CURB STOMP! Yota roars as he aims from the corner! Gabe rises, into the GENE- PILEDRIVER?!?! Gabe turns things around in an instant and Osaka is erupting again! Yota and Gabe stir, Gabe finds the cover, TWO!! Yota is still in this, but so is Gabe. The fans rally as hard as they ever have, and Gabe rolls away to the ropes.
Gabe rises and Osaka roars again! Gabe snarls, he drags Yota up by his hair, and he reels Yota in. The barking echoes through the stadium, but Yota fights the lift! Wrench and HEADBUTT! Gabe stays up, but a GENE TRIGGER hits! COMEBACKER from Gabe!! The Mad Man is going nuts, and he brings down the kneepad and even the wrap! ONI- GENE BLASTER!!! But Gabe tumbles away, Yota can’t make the cover! Time is running out on this match as Gabe sputters and Yota crawls his way over! Yota claws at Gabe, Gabe turns over, and Red Shoes begins a double down count! The fans rally as both men have until 10!
Gabe sputters, grits his teeth, and he grabs the ropes. But we’re already at 5! And then 7! 8! Yota stands at 9, but he flops back down! TEN, IT’S A DRAW!!
Double Down Draw; Yota retains the IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship
These two men fought so hard, neither man could keep going! Or maybe they can? They both sit up and give junkyard dog headbutts, but there’s no point now! They both flop back down, the fans cheer again, and Red Shoes tells them both to stop. The fans chant for NJPW, clearly feeling these two epitomize the truth spirit of Strong Style. Gabe and Yota stare down, then nod. Gabe DECKS Yota! In a roundabout way, that is how these two show respect. Yota keeps the title, but will he and Gabe look to run this back?
WAIT, THE HOUSE OF TORTURE ATTACKS!! The fans boo as Sho, Kanemaru, Yujiro and Narita all stomp away on Yota! Is this because not a single one of these rejects got on the card? Wait, Narita stomps Gabe, too?! And then the lights go out! WAIT! EVIL is here! The King of Darkness said he wasn’t coming home after losing back at Battle in the Valley! And yet he’s returned with New Beginning? Then he STOPS The House from beating up on Yota?! What’s going on with The King of Darkness? He and Dick Togo have the guys back off, and Evil helps Yota to his feet? Oh, just so he can hit EVERYTHING IS EVIL on him!
The fans boo as Evil tricked us into thinking he had a change of heart. Or a heart at all. The fans tell The House of Torture to just go home, but now they want to help Gabe up? Evil & Dick help Gabe stand, only to set him up!? PUSHUP BAR ATTACK?!? Narita then hits Gabe with the DOUBLE CROSSER!! What happened to House of Torture being Bullet Club? Hold on, Evil grabs a mic to speak. “Oi, Tsuji, you thought I was here to help you? TOO BAD, SUCKER! HAHAHA!” The fans boo more, but Evil says Yota’s head is foggy from all that damage. This is your present and future. And as for “Gabe-chan,” Evil is here to speak to him.
Evil tells Gabe, “You’re in my way, pieces of crap like you. Tell this to Finlay, as well. From now on, the War Dogs are no longer part of Bullet Club!” What!? Does Evil have the authority to say that? But he says, “Your crew of losers aren’t needed in Bullet Club anymore! Got it? Remember that!” The House has declared war, but will this be anything but civil?
IWGP World Heavyweight Championship: Zack Sabre Jr. w/ TMDK VS Hirooki Goto w/ Yoshi-Hashi!
The Front Man really shook things up when he used the G1 Climax golden ticket to win this title in Ryogoku rather than the Tokyo Dome, but now the Fierce Warrior looks to do the same in Osaka! Goto has been fighting for decades, will this finally be his moment? Or will he #JustTapOut?
The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see if there is truly a New Beginning in Osaka!
The bell rings and the fans are already strong for “GO-TO-O! GO-TO-O!” ZSJ doesn’t let that bother him as the two circle. They feel things out, tie up, and ZSJ wrenches an arm. ZSJ then waistlocks, but Goto wrenches free. ZSJ spins around, slips through, and he wrangles Goto by an arm. Goto fights up but ZSJ top wristlocks. ZSJ wrangles Goto after all, but Goto keeps his shoulders up. Goto slips around, goes for a leg, but ZSJ slips away, and the fans cheer this opening exchange. The two reset, tie up, and ZSJ headlocks. Goto powers up and out, ZSJ RAMS him, but Goto returns to RUN ZSJ over!
ZSJ avoids the elbow drop but Goto avoids the Penalty Kick! ZSJ avoids a lariat, Goto avoids as roundhouse, then Goto kicks and whips. ZSJ reverses but Goto RUNS him over again! The fans fire up while ZSJ shakes out the stars. Goto CLUBS ZSJ to a corner, whups him corner to corner, then runs up to LARIAT! Goto HIP- NO, ZSJ THROWS Goto down, the NECK TWISTS! The fans rally and ZSJ brings Goto up. ZSJ cravats for the neck wrench, then shifts to a headlocks. Goto endures the grind, fights up, and powers out. ZSJ RUNS Goto over! Things keep moving, but ZSJ catches the dropdown into a NECK TWIST!
Goto writhes and goes to the apron. ZSJ goes out to NECK TWIST even out there! Goto falls, Hashi protests, but ZSJ just shakes out his arms. ZSJ drags Goto up, UPPERCUTS him, and Goto staggers up the ramp. ZSJ pursues to UPPERCUT, but Goto CHOPS! ZSJ UPPERCUTS again and Goto falls! ZSJ goes to the ring, which fans applaud, and Goto crawls his way over. The fans rally as Goto reaches the ring by 5 of 20. Goto rolls in, ZSJ drags him by a leg, and ZSJ has a toehold. ZSJ turns Goto over and ties up the legs, while also adding a headscissor! Goto endures this modified deathlock, but then ZSJ focuses on just the headscissors!
Goto fights around, the fans rally, but ZSJ rolls Goto away from the ropes. ZSJ has Goto at the center of the ring, grabs an arm, but Goto kicks around! ROPEBREAK right as ZSJ goes for the armbar! ZSJ lets go, and the fans rally for “GO-TO-O!” even more. ZSJ paces, drags Goto up to cravat, but Goto again endures the neck wrench. Goto fires body shots, but ZSJ UPPERCUTS! Goto staggers to a corner, ZSJ whips him corner to corner, but Goto reverses. Goto runs up, but into a BOOT! ZSJ runs, but Goto follows! ZSJ BOOTS the lariat, but Goto avoids the Pele! ZSJ
avoid the buzzsaw, RAMS low, then whips.
Goto reverses, fireman’s carries, USHIGOROSHI! Both men are down and the fans fire up! ZSJ goes to a corner, Goto runs up, and Goto LARIATS! Goto whips corner to corner, then runs to MURAMASA! And SAIDO! Cover, TWO! ZSJ stays in this but Goto stays on him. Goto fireman’s carries again, but ZSJ kicks his way to the apron! ZSJ has Goto in the ropes, HANGING ARMBAR! Red Shoes reprimands, then counts, but ZSJ lets go at 4. ZSJ stumbles a bit, but goes back for Goto in the ring. ZSJ knees on Goto’s face, then grabs an arm. ZSJ SNAPS fingers! And then he digs his elbow into Goto’s ribs, to then isolate an arm, and STOMP it!
The fans duel while Goto clutches that elbow. ZSJ drags Goto around, digs an elbow into Goto’s shoulder, then pulls on the bad arm. ZSJ twists it around, and STOMPS it again! Goto writhes more but ZSJ looms over him. ZSJ stands Goto up, reels him in, but Goto fights the scoop! Goto CLUBS with the good arm, but ZSJ UPPERCUTS the bad arm! And again! And again! ZSJ brings Goto around to scoop, but Goto slips free! Goto waistlocks, ZSJ elbows free, and ZSJ runs up. Goto dodges to RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP! And then roll into the GOTO SAN SHIKI! TWO, and ZSJ body scissors, JAPANESE ROLLING CLUTCH! TWO!!
The fans fire up as both men escape the other! ZSJ BOOTS Goto to a corner, then runs up. Goto dodges to put ZSJ right in the ropes! Draping dragon sleeper, for DRAPING SHOTO! Cover, ROPEBREAK! ZSJ survives but Goto roars! Goto dragon sleepers, but ZSJ slips around to scoop and ZACK DRIVER! But ZSJ can’t make the cover! The fans fire up again while ZSJ sits back up. ZSJ grabs Goto by the hair and drags him up. ZSJ UPPERCUTS, Goto wobbles, and the fans rally. ZSJ UPPERCUTS again, Goto staggers, but ZSJ has him again. ZSJ UPPERCUTS, but Goto just gets mad! Goto fires forearm after forearm!
ZSJ UPPERCUTS again, but Goto just roars! The fans fire up as Goto LARIATS! ZSJ stays up and DOUBLE LARIATS collide! ZSJ comes back, but Goto spins him around, URA G T R! Goto roars, runs, but ZSJ ROUNDHOUSEES the lariat, then scoops! SABRE DRIVER!! Cover, TWO?!?! But into an ARMBAR!! Goto flails, reaches out, but ZSJ pulls on the arm! Goto fights around, but ends up in a TRIANGLE HOLD! Goto keeps moving, tries to stack ZSJ, but ZSJ keeps his shoulders up! So Goto deadlifts, but ZSJ wrangles him into an omoplata! ZSJ grabs the other arm, Goto resists, but ZSJ powers it into a roll and CLARKY CAT!
Goto keeps fighting and the fans rally as hard as they can! Goto refuses to get caught, but ZSJ grabs the leg! CLARKY CAT, BAD BALLOON MIX! Goto still fights, even with just the one free leg! Goto kicks and his arm slips free, ROPEBREAK!! Even ZSJ is surprised, but he lets go of Goto. The fans continue to rally for Goto as he slowly rises. ZSJ KICKS him in the chest and Goto falls over! ZSJ paces, Hashi coaches Goto, and Goto rises up. ZSJ KICKS him in the chest again! ZSJ eggs Goto on, then KCIKS, KICKS, KICKS! Goto blocks one! Goto stands, and he fires forearm after forearm! ZSJ rebounds, but Goto DECKS him!
The fans are thunderous and Goto roars! Goto runs, but into a SLEEPER! ZSJ squeezes tight as Goto reaches out, and Goto is fading! Red Shoes checks on Goto, but he drops to his knees! ZSJ sits Goto down, but the fans rally even harder! ZSJ lets go to run and PENALTY KCIK! But Goto’s right up!? LARIAT!! Goto knows Shibata well, so he knew how to fight that combo! The fans are thunderous again as Goto rises! Goto roars, then takes aim, BUZZSAW! ZSJ falls right down! Goto drags him right up! Fireman’s carry and G T W!! Cover, TWO!!! ZSJ survives, the damage he did to Goto’s arms being what weakened that attack!
Goto still dragon sleepers, but ZSJ fires shots! Goto grabs that arm, but ZSJ grabs Goto’s arm! They fight for control, so Goto ripcords and HEADBUTTS ZSJ! The fans fire up as ZSJ drops back! But Goto holds onto ZSJ’s wrist! Goto drags ZSJ up, but ZSJ SLAPS him! And SLAPS him again! And again! Goto just stands ZSJ up, so ZSJ fires a flurry of SLAPS! Goto HEADBUTTS again! Goto snarls, the fans are thunderous, and Goto HEADBUTTS ZSJ again! But Goto isn’t done! He HEADBUTTS AGAIN AND AGAIN! Goto roars, winds up, and LARIATS!! The fans are thunderous once more as Goto suplexes, for SHOUTEN KAI!!
The fans erupt as Goto brings out one of the classics! And then Goto hauls ZSJ up, dragon sleepers, but ZSJ victory rolls! EURO CLUTCH, TWO!?!?! Goto escapes, but ZSJ snatches an arm! ZSJ wrenches to PELE the arm, but Goto LARIATS with the other! Goto leans on the ropes, Osaka erupts once again, and Goto drags ZSJ up! Dragon sleeper, but ZSJ hooks the arms! Goto fights the backslide, dragon sleepers, G T R!!! But Goto doesn’t cover?!? Goto wants to end this, and he straitjackets ZSJ’s arms, for ULTIMATE G T R!!! Cover, GOTO WINS!!!!
Winner: Hirooki Goto, by pinfall (NEW IWGP World Heavyweight Champion)
Osaka is practically lifting off into space as finally, after 22 YEARS of hard work, of blood, sweat and tears, of always being the proverbial bridesmaid but never the bride, the Fierce Warrior has his world title breakthrough!! It was a generational battle to be sure, and while The Mighty Don’t Kneel, ZSJ could not #GetBackUp! Will TMDK have to take a page out of Chaos’ book and find a way to #TurnItAllAround?
As for Goto, it finally sinks in with the official announcement! “Perennial Challenger” no longer, Hirooki Goto is FINALLY the top champion in NJPW! Goto finally gets to hold this belt, and Hashi is there by his side to help put it on. After Goto catches his breath and gathers himself, he grabs the mic. “I know my dad was watching, and this is for him.” Goto points to the sky and the fans cheer. Goto stands, and he says, “A lot of you probably know this, but I’m an idiot. I’ve been an idiot as I’ve pursued this pro-wrestling life. But this idiot stuck with it, and now this idiot is a champion.” The fans cheer that, and they cheer as Goto tells his dad, “I DID IT!”
Goto now thanks everyone for coming and packing the house. “Actually, my son and daughter are here, as well.” The fans cheer, knowing the little Gotos are here. Goto asks if it’s okay to invite them into the ring. The fans cheer more, and Goto calls to them. After all, this is a once-in-a-lifetime moment. Goto’s son and daughter hurry from their seats, take off their shoes, and then step into the ring to stand alongside their father. The fans cheer, and Goto says they’re doing well in school. And his girl is doing well in her dance class. The fans cheer, Goto says he wants them to get a good look at this sight. “This is what Papa’s been working for.” The fans cheer that, too!
Goto says thanks to his kids, he was able to do this. And of course, “Yo-chan” for always being in his corner. And most of all, it is thanks to the people here today! The fans applaud again, and Goto says that he’s been at this for 22 YEARS, so he is thankful to his own body for making it this far. “The Goto Revolution has just begun.” The fans like that! Goto hopes they’ll be part of it until the end. “And finally… It’s about Goto’s G! Do you know what the G stands for?” Do the kids know? His son and daughter are excited. It is for the G in IWGP! That’s right! Now, here goes! The fans fire up with Goto, and he says the G in IWGP now stands for GOTO!
Goto hugs his kids, and the confetti flies! It may be decades into his career, but this is truly Goto’s New Beginning! Will there be no stopping the Fierce Warrior that overcame The Mighty Front Man?
My Thoughts:
An awesome New Beginning event, and fittingly, we got a lot of new stuff going on from this point. Drilla beating Takagi was wild, I did not think that’d happen. Khan beating Shota was also wild, and so was Shota voluntarily shaving his own head. As I’ve said before, Shota is the one out of the Reiwa Three Musketeers that isn’t working as far as crowd reaction. Fans love Yota as a Face, they love to hate Narita as a Heel, but they haven’t quite accepted Shota as a Face. Maybe shaving his head and ditching this Roughneck hero character could help Shota. Sanada beating Taichi with more cheating made sense, it just adds more Heel heat on him.
Roppongi ReVICE looked great against the Ichiban Sweet Boys, but I figured Eagles & Fujita would win. Taiji making the challenge on behalf of himself and Robbie X, that’ll be a great feud. And then holy crap, Konosuke VS Oleg was awesome. Not only does it show how great Konosuke is, but it shows how awesome Oleg already is for being this early in his career. But I feel like it’s a shame the KOPW Championship is gone, because I felt like the NEVER Openweight title was the one Oleg could get at this point. Oiwa challenging Konosuke is cool, can’t wait to see how that one goes.
LIJ VS The Bucks was great stuff, and I’m actually a little surprised LIJ won. I suppose The Bucks could (and maybe should) go back to AEW now, maybe do something about the Death Riders or whatever. But this is big for LIJ, and they have quite the lineup to defend these titles against. Yota VS Gabe was also awesome, and it was brilliant to have it end in a draw. But then, are we seriously getting Bullet Club: Civil War now? With House of Torture VS David Finlay & The War Dogs? Well, it isn’t about the quality of the wrestlers, since the War Dogs are all good, but it’s more we could’ve gotten even better stuff when it was Jay White’s Bullet Club.
And then, the main event was amazing, especially because of the story going into it. ZSJ has fought hard to become top champion, but Goto has fought hard and long for the same thing, to where maybe people were thinking it’d never happen. This is an inspirational story on top of an awesome match, because it shows if you keep at it, your dream will come true, and/or people will see your dedication, and they will appreciate and maybe even reward it. You deserve it, Goto, and what a great moment for him and his kids. I can’t wait to see where this is going, especially with the Anniversary Show in under a month.

The bell rings and the fans rally for “SPEEDBALL! SPEEDBALL!” All four men watch each other, and Davis sticks out like a sore thumb as the biggest guy here. Cassidy rolls through the middle of the group, and the fans cheer! Ricochet and Davis aren’t amused but Bailey applauds. The four feel things out, Davis knuckle locks with Bailey, but Cassidy is a bit more reluctant. Ricochet knuckle locks with Bailey, but Cassidy is still reluctant. Ricochet breaks with Bailey to headlock Cassidy. Bailey fires KICKS on Davis, Cassidy powers out but Bailey sidesteps Ricochet. Cassidy arm-drags Ricochet, Davis waistlocks Bailey.
Bailey elbows free, Cassidy runs up but Bailey sends him into Cassidy! Davis rebounds, Cassidy drops down, Bailey TOSSES Davis out! The fans fire up and now the high-fliers all stand off. Ricochet gets the fans fired up, but then he sucker punches Cassidy! Cassidy falls out and the fans boo. Bailey fires LIGHTNING KICKS on Ricochet! The ENZIGIRIS sends Ricochet tumbling away and the fans fire up again! Cassidy returns, he and Bailey square off. Cassidy fires “lightning” kicks, and the fans go wild! Cassidy then winds up, puts his hands up, and then puts them in his pockets! The fans fire up and Bailey says okay, hold on.
Bailey puts his hands behind his back to mirror Cassidy, and then he starts throwing kicks! Cassidy ducks ‘n’ jumps those feet, then SHOTGUNS Bailey down! Cassidy kips up, but then so does Bailey! The fans rally more as Bailey kicks and Cassidy dodges. Cassidy runs the ropes but Ricochet trips him up! The fans boo as Ricochet drags Cassidy out and THROWS him into barriers! But Bailey runs to SLIDING RANA! The fans fire up again, and Bailey KICKS Ricochet against barriers! Bailey stands Ricochet back up to KICK him again! The fans cheer, Bailey puts Ricochet in and climbs a corner. But Davis grabs Bailey’s foot!
Bailey kicks Davis away, then FLYING- NO! Davis stops the rana to APRON POWERBOMB Bailey! Cassidy DIVES, but Davis catches him, to RAM him into the apron, then APRON BACK SUPLEX! Ricochet runs up to CLUB Davis, but Davis stays up. Ricochet apologizes but Davis storms up on him. The fans tell Ricochet he messed up, and Ricochet runs away into the ring. Davis pursues, Ricochet slips out the side, Bailey O’Conner Rolls Davis! TWO, Ricochet comes back but Bailey BOOTS him down! Bailey then goes up, up, but Davis grabs him in a waistlock! Bailey fights the grip, gets free, and he CHOPS!
The fans fire up but Davis just scowls. Bailey CHOPS again! Davis eggs Bailey on, so Bailey CHOPS again! The fans “WOO~” but Davis roars! Bailey kicks, Davis blocks, and then Davis CHOPS Bailey down! Cassidy is back, Davis CHOPS him down, too! The fans boo but Davis stalks Bailey to a corner. Davis stands Bailey up to CHOP LARIAT! Ricochet joins commentary at this moment just to say he’s not a dummy who’s gonna get beat up in that ring. He’s letting Davis do all the work! Davis drags Cassidy up, CHOP LARIATS him in a corner, then goes back to Davis. The ref tells Ricochet to get in the ring but Ricochet tells the ref to shut up.
Davis TOSSES Bailey, Ricochet says he knows when to pick his spots. Ricochet steps off commentary, the fans tell Callis off while Davis scoops and SLAMS Cassidy! Davis soaks up the heat, stands Bailey up and CHOKES him int he corner! Ricochet slithers in to cover Cassidy! Davis hears the count and drags Ricochet up! Davis TOSSES Ricochet up and out of the ring! But Bailey- Well, he tries to roll Davis up but Davis is sturdy. Cassidy runs up and CROSSBODIES, but Davis catches him! Davis swings and TOSSES Cassidy, then SENTONS onto Bailey! The fans fire up, Ricochet slithers in, but then he and Davis lock eyes.
Davis shouts and Ricochet slithers back out, “picking his spot.” Davis drags Cassidy up while the fans rally for “FRESHLY SQUEEZED!” Davis suplexes, but Cassidy gives him STUN DOG MILLIONAIRE! Either Cassidy holds on or Davis is blocking, but Bailey is up top either way! FLYING DOUBLE KNEES!! Davis takes the worst of that, and now Ricochet slithers back in! Bailey SUPERKICKS him first, though! Bailey runs and BOOTS Davis in the corner! Bailey pushes Davis down, goes up, and MISSLE DROPKICKS! Davis gets up, but Bailey SOBATS, AX KICKS, and KICKS Davis down! The fans fire up and Bailey runs, STANDING SHOOTING STAR!
Ricochet TOSSES Bailey out, aims at Davis, STANDING SHOOTING STAR! But now Cassidy TOSSES Ricochet out! Cassidy winds up, but he realizes he can’t pull off the Shooting Star so he just covers! ONE!! Davis survives, Cassidy argues the count, but Ricochet returns! Cassidy dodges, but then Ricochet dodges Bailey! Bailey dodges Cassidy, Ricochet CHOPS Cassidy! Callis claims everyone cheated except Davis! The fans are confused, they want it to be Bailey’s win, but Ricochet did join the cover. The ref has everyone calm down and he sorts this out. He tells Callis to shut up and back off while he talks with Justin Roberts. The announcement comes in: As a result of a pinfall, challenging Kenny Omega for the title will be… “Speedball” Mike Bailey AND Ricochet!

With Revolution’s main event being more or less interrupted by quite a few others, namely Christian Cage and his Casino Gauntlet Contract cash-in, The Maniac stayed the champion, but nothing between him and the Rated R Superstar had been settled. Now they’re just throwing the rulebook out into the cold Nebraska night as they turn up the heat! Will Moxley still find a way to survive? Or will he have to cope with a devastating loss?
Moxley is only now entering the arena from the parking lot, BUT COPE IS THERE TO ATTACK! The fans fire up seeing this on the tron, and the bell rings now to get this all on record! Cope SMACKS Moxley off the semi-truck’s trailer, then SMACKS him off it again! Then Cope shoves Moxley into the back of the trailer, and they brawl around all these power tools, props and cases! Cope SMACKS Moxley off the side again, then finds one of Jeff Jarrett’s guitars! Cope SMACKS Moxley in the leg, then fires more forearms! Moxley staggers towards the exit, but Cope runs up to swing and DROPKICK Moxley into the garage door!
Moxley slumps down, Cope throws off his vest, and Cope drags Moxley back up. Cope and Moxley scrap, and now Moxley sends Cope into the garage door! Moxley grabs the briefcase and runs inside. They end up going through the curtain and to the crowd!

Cope goes looking under the ring, and he brings out a trash can! Cope runs up to SMASH Moxley with the can! Moxley ends up by commentary, Cope storms over to bring him around. Cope DUMPS Moxley over into the crowd, and then pursues again. The fans fire up as Cope storms up and CLOBBERS Moxley into the boards! The fans fire up as Cope CHUCKS a trash can at Moxley’s head! Moxley staggers away, Cope has a beer can and he SMACKS Moxley with it! Moxley is dazed as he leans on the barriers, and Cope fires forearms and CHOPS! The fans fire up being even closer to the action, but Moxley ROCKS Cope in return! Cope ROCKS Mox, Mox ROCKS Cope! Cope ROCKS Moxley again, but Moxley hits back again! They brawl their way along, forearm for forearm! The fans boo Moxley while he vows Cope is done!

The fans are thunderous as Cope climbs up to join Mox! But Moxley CLAWS Cope’s eyes! And he BITES Cope’s face! Then underhooks and PARADIGM SHIFT on the desk!! Surely, Omaha is fired up again as Cope stands this table up at ringside. Moxley crawls away, has a chair, but Cope CLUBS him first! Cope whips, but Moxley reverses, and now Cope hits steel steps! Cope falls in a heap, Moxley grabs that chair and puts it in the ring. Moxley fetches Cope, puts him in the ring, and Dynamite returns to single picture. Moxley has the chair, takes aim, and he SMACKS Cope on the back! The fans boo while Cope writhes, and Moxley SMACKS him again! Moxley CHOKES Cope with the chair, having it sit on his neck! Moxley flips off the fans while they boo more, but Cope still refuses to give up.
Moxley lets off Cope and he tells the ref to back off. Moxley puts the chair around Cope’s neck! The fans boo as Moxley wants to do Cope like he did Bryan Danielson and Chuck Taylor! But then Moxley goes up the corner?! The fans boo, but Cope stands! Cope CHUCKS the chair at Moxley! Moxley teeters up top, Cope climbs up after him, and Cope CLAWS Moxley’s back! Cope brings Moxley up, to SUPER DUPER PLEX! Both men writhe, and Prince Nana is watching backstage. Swerve is still down and out after what Moxley did to him on Saturday, so Nana is keeping an eye on this match on Swerve’s behalf.

Moxley checks his face while the fans rally up. Cope goes out of the ring, and he looks under the ring. IT’S SPIKE! Cope brings his little friend into the ring, but Moxley hits a CUTTER! Moxley goes out, and he brings out a second TABLE! The fans are torn, they love tables but don’t like Moxley. Moxley puts this table in the ring, sets it up in a corner, but Cope gets Spike back! Cope SMACKS Moxley in the gut!! The fans go nuts, but then Cope SMACKS Moxley on the back! Cope puts Spike down, and suplexes Moxley onto Spike!! Moxley writhes as Spike sticks inside Moxley’s back!! Will Dynasty once again be Swerve’s House? As for Rated FTR, Dax is certainly frustrated enough for both him and Cash, but the fans still cheer on their efforts. Cope reaches a hand out to his friend, but Dax doesn’t take it? Even Cash is surprised by that! Cash tries to talk with Dax but Dax pushes him away? Well, you can’t spell frustrated without FTR, but at least Cash hugs it out with Cope. Omaha gives Cope a standing ovation, but will Cope ever have a world title again?
Backstage interview with Bandido.
Renee Paquette is with The Most Wanted, and brings up the horrible things Chris Jericho did at Revolution. How have he and his family been since then? Bandido says wrestling, lucha libre, it runs in his veins. And he knows the dangers, he can handle them. But what Chris Jericho did to his brother, Gravity, and how that was the first AEW show their mother and sister ever attended, it was humiliating! Jericho made Bandido’s mother cry in front of him, and Bandido will never forgive Jericho for that! So on Slam Dunk Sunday Night Collision, Bandido hopes Jericho shows up and acts like a man! Bring Gravity’s mask and give it back!
But Johnny TV steps in and somewhat sarcastically says wow, Bandido’s whole family was embarrassed and his mom cried on camera. WHO CARES?! Bandido thinks he deserves to sit in the ring like a sad puppy on Slam Dunk Sunday, perhaps the biggest Collision in history? That’s not ratings gold! Ratings gold would be Bandido VS Johnny TV, and Johnny slam dunks Bandido’s head! Bigger ratings than the Super Bowl! What do you say, “amigo?” Bandido says okay, amigo. Challenge accepted! Johnny says great! Johnny heads out, but will Bandido the one dunking on Johnny?

The Aerial Assassin called his shot at the AEW World Championship for All In: Texas! He also claimed that he’d get in the Owen Hart Memorial Tournament, win the Cup, and challenge for the world title as this year’s King of Harts. Will that long road to Globe Life Field begin now? Or will tonight be the Whole Fox’n Show?
The bell rings and the fans rally up. Ospreay offers a handshake, Fox takes it, and the fans cheer. They circle, tie up, and Ospreay wrenches to a wristlock. The fans sing “OSPREAY~, OSPREAY OSPREAY OSPREAY~!” Fox rolls, wrenches, wristlocks back, but Ospreay spins and trips Fox up. Cover, ONE! Fox ducks a buzzsaw, waistlocks, but Ospreay elbows free. Ospreay whips, Fox ducks ‘n’ dodges to tilt-o-whirl, but Ospreay slips around to waistlock. Fox bucks the O’Conner, rolls back, CUTTER but Ospreay handstands through! Ospreay wags his finger, gets running, and springboards to OSCUTTER, but Fox handstands through!
The fans fire up, Ospreay trips Fox but Fox UP KICKS Ospreay! Both men kip up, and the fans cheer the standoff! Ospreay smiles and nods, and the two reset. Ospreay checks his back for a second, still feeling that Steel Cage match from Revolution. The fans cheer as Ospreay and Fox circle again. They knuckle lock, then Fox kicks low! Fox CLUBS Ospreay’s back again and again, then kicks low, But Ospreay turns things around to CHOP! Ospreay whips, Fox grabs ropes, then Fox DUMPS Ospreay out! Ospreay lands on the apron, but Fox sweeps the leg! Ospreay is down, Fox runs and slingshots to DOUBLE STOMP on the apron!
The fans are torn while Ospreay sputters into the ring. Fox slingshots and gator rolls Ospreay into a suplex, but STUN DOG MILLIONAIRE strikes back! Fox tumbles out, the fans fire up, and Ospreay uses that energy to PLANCHA! Down goes Fox and the fans fire up again! Ospreay stretches out that back while Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Ospreay grits his teeth as he goes back for Fox. Fox RAMS Ospreay into the apron! Ospreay sputters, Fox grabs a chair, and Fox makes Ospreay take a seat. Fox rains down fists, refreshes the ring count, then takes a lap around the ring! Fox builds speed and comes back around, but Ospreay BOOTS Fox down! Now Ospreay refreshes the ring count, drags Fox over and makes him take a seat. Ospreay rallies the fans and takes that same lap around the ring. But Fox slides into the ring and FLIES onto Ospreay at the ramp! Fox puts Ospreay in the ring, goes up a corner, and SWANTON BOMBS! Cover, TWO!
Fox is frustrated that Ospreay survives, but Fox clamps on a REAR BEARHUG. Ospreay endures the squeeze, fights up, and he throws elbows. Ospreay is free but Fox CLUBS him on the back! Fox whips, but Ospreay CLOBBERS him! Ospreay hauls Fox up to back suplex, but Fox makes it a CROSSBODY! Cover, TWO! Fox is again frustrated, but he clamps back on with the REAR BEARHUG! Ospreay endures the squeeze all over again, and the fans rally up. Ospreay fights up, reaches out, but Fox brings him away from the ropes. Ospreay runs, but Fox goes Matrix and kips up to ENZIGIRI again! Fox runs, into a SPANISH FLY! Cover, TWO!! The fans fire up again and Ospreay rises. Ospreay gets the fans even more fired up, and he aims from a corner. Fox stands, into a HOOK KICK! Fox falls forward, Ospreay prepares the elbow! HIDDEN- NO, Fox ducks under and BASEMENT CUTTERS! Ospreay staggers, Fox runs up to BOOT him in the corner!
Fox hoists Ospreay up top, then climbs up again. But Ospreay slips under, tucks Fox in, CHEEKY NA- NO! Fox pops up and over! Ospreay BOOTS Fox, goes up, but Fox GAMANGIRIS! Renee remarks that it is officially going to be Moxley VS Swerve at AEW Dynasty, then welcomes in The Cowboy. Hangman steps in, and Renee says that while she has a feeling she already knows the answer, she will still ask the question. “What are your thoughts on this match being official?” Hangman says he has said this a thousand times. He vows to never let Swerve Strickland hold the AEW World Championship again. Hangman is nothing if not a man of his word. But after beating MJF at Revolution, Hangman will not let his vision be solely focused on someone else. His focus will be on himself.
And while many people have been jumping the gun to enter The Owen, Hangman will join the party. Hangman will win the Owen Hart Foundation Cup to then go on, challenge for and become the NEW AEW World Champion. Even if it’s Swerve. The Cowboy joins The Aerial Assassin, what other dangerous names will put their names in the hat?

How surprised was she by Billie out there? Mone admits, “that kid” did put up a fight. That kid, Billie, has a lot of heart. But it takes more than heart to beat Mone. Who trained her? Who mentored her? Whoever did knows nothing about pro-wrestling. If Mone had trained Billie, Billie might’ve had a chance at beating Mone for the title. HAHAHA! But no, who’s she kidding? Billie still would not have won, because Mone is the greatest TBS Champion of all time!
And what that “stupid kid” learned tonight is that there is no stopping the Money Train. Okay, on to 17-0. Bye, Renee! Mone heads out, but is the CEO’s ego about to get the attention of a Fallen Goddess?

Omaha cheers for the AEW Women’s World Champion as she makes her way out here to join commentary for tonight’s main event. After all, it has some major implications for who “costars” with Toni in her next title picture.

The Megasus has not respected anyone in AEW, only dominated! And she perhaps tolerates the Superbad Girl as they have common enemies. But from attacking Toni last week to attacking Thunder Rosa before their match, it seems no one is able to even slow Megan down. Can the Galaxy’s Greatest get even from their previous showdown? Or will Megan be the bane of the AEW Women’s Division?
The bell rings and the fans rally up. Kris and Megan step up, stare down, and then Megan winds up! Kris blocks the shot to fire a flurry of forearms! The fans fire up, Kris runs, but Megan follows! Megan ROCKS Kris, runs, but Kris follows to UPPERCUT! Kris runs, Megan follows to SPLASH Kris at the ropes! Megan runs but Kris ROCKS her! Kris runs but Megan clinches! Kris fires shots but Megan shoves her away. Megan blocks a boot, ROCKS Kris, then runs up to LARIAT Kris up and out! Ford applauds, the fans are torn, but Megan storms out. Kris goes up to the apron! The fans fire up, Toni is rather stunned, and Toni gives Kris credit for that. Kris puts Megan in the ring, climbs up a corner, and MISSILE DROPKICKS! Megan flounders away to a corner while the fans fire up. Ford coaches Megan, Toni says if Bayne is a “Megasus,” call her to the “Stormodo Dragon.” Same toxic tongue and dry skin. Kris runs in and LARIATS! Then Kris climbs up to rain down fists! The fans fire up and count all the way to TEN! Kris then pushes Megan out, leaps, but Megan catches her! Megan pops Kris up, but Kris slips free! Kris kicks low, runs, and basement DROPKICKS! Cover, ONE?!?
The fans rally as Kris storms up on Megan. Kris drags Megan up, Toni says Megan must be the Greek Goddess of Silence as she’s barely spoken a word. Kris stands Megan up to fire forearms, then whips corner to corner. Megan reverses but Kris goes up to FLYING BACK ELBOW! The fans fire up again and Kris puts Megan in a corner. Kris fires forearm after forearm, then runs side to side for a BOOT WASH! The fans fire up, Ford is upset, but Kris ROCKS Megan again. Kris runs corner to corner, but Megan BOOTS her! Megan clinches to CORNER EXPLODER! The fans rally but Megan drags Kris up again.
Megan RAMS into Kris again and again, then hoists her up top. Megan SLAPS Kris, climbs up, and Kris fires body shots. Toni says both ladies have such powerful thighs, surely they’ve crushed watermelons. Kris fires hands, ROCKS Megan, and Megan hops back. Megan runs in but Kris BOOTS her! Ford distracts, the fans boo, but Megan ROCKS Kris! Kris falls to the apron, the fans boo more, but Megan gets Kris up. DEADLIFT BACK SUPLEX! The fans boo but Megan rises up as Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Megan soaks up the heat from Omaha, then she looms over Kris. Megan drags Kris up, short arm LARIATS, then paces around. Kris goes to ropes, Megan storms up and stands Kris up for a CHOP! Megan has Kris in a corner and fires KNEE after KNEE! The ref reprimands and counts, Ford applauds, but Megan brings Kris out to HALF HATCH PLEX! Kris flounders away, but Megan storms up again. Megan looms over Kris, but Kris fires a body shot. Megan KNEES low in return! Kris staggers to a corner, Megan whips corner to corner, and then Megan runs in, only for Kris to dodge! Kris runs in and UPPERCUTS Megan!
Kris runs side to side and BOOT WASHES Megan again! Kris brings Megan out, but Megan breaks free! Kris ducks the lariat to BLUE THUNDER BOMB! Cover, TWO! Megan survives and Kris seethes. Kris drags Megan up, scoops her, but Megan slips free! Megan shoves Kris and DECKS her! Kris goes to a corner, Megan runs in and LARIATS! And KNEES! Megan whips, Kris reverses and ROCKS Megan! Dynamite returns to single picture as Kris brings Megan up, but Megan slips under to RUNNING POWERBOMB!! Megan then fireman’s carries! “BOW DOWN!” FATE’S- NO! Kris lands out and runs the ropes, SCISSOR KICK! Both women are down and the fans fire up! Toni says she’s on the edge of her seat, and she looks to be about that as we get a standing count. The fans rally, Kris stirs at 3 of 10, and she crawls her way over to Megan. Kris sits Megan up to SLAP her! Megan SLAPS back!
The fans fire up as Kris SLAPS again! Megan SLAPS Kris! Both women stand, the SLAPS keep going! The fans fire up behind Kris and boo Megan, and Kris fires a flurry of SLAPS! Then a PELE! Kris runs, but Ford trips her! The ref saw that, and EJECTS Ford! The fans fire up while Ford freaks out! Kris stands, but Megan runs in! Kris ducks the lariat and kips up! SUPERKICK! Megan BOOTS in return! Kris ROUNDHOUSES! Megan roars, but Kris gets under the boot to POWERBOMB! Kris hurries to scoop and MICHINOKU DRIVER! Cover, TWO!! Megan survives, Toni says she’s nervous, because just look at the power!

Toni staggers back up, and she shoves free to LARIAT Megan up and out! Megan lands on her feet, but security does their best to keep these two apart! Megan is beside herself, but Toni grabs a mic to say, “My gawd, you’re a big b*tch!” Fans cheer that!
“I’ve always said the bigger they are, the harder they come. So it’s about time you and I got tantric! You keep looking at my title, but you don’t have much to say. So I’m gonna make this very easy for you. You and I shall have a date at Dynasty! And I will make your thighs shake and your body quake, and I will leave with this strap on, for I am TIMELESS TONI STORM! And I will tear your tits off!!” The Megasus has the title match she wants, but will she get much more than she bargained for?
My Thoughts:
A great Dynamite that almost lost some matches given the blizzard that hit today. But it looks like we got everything they were hoping to get done tonight, especially in building up Dynasty. The Fatal 4 Way was an awesome opener, and what an incredibly clever way to give two guys that win to raise the stakes on Kenny Omega. I also feel like we should get Bailey VS Ricochet 1v1 just to see “who’s better” going into the Triple Threat, and maybe indicate some go-home math towards that match. I would think part of the Triple Threat nature is so that regardless of the result, all three men look strong, but I’m leaning towards Omega winning.
Mone VS Billie was a great match, a great showing for Billie’s return to cable TV, but this makes her 0-2 all time for the TBS Championship (she lost to Jade Cargill on a Battle of the Belts special). However, Mone’s promo talking trash on Billie’s mentor planted major seeds for Mone VS Athena in time for All In: Texas, as I’ve been hoping for. Good promo from The Outrunners, but it seems like they didn’t make it to Omaha, or else they’d be teaming with Hobbs for Collision, not Briscoe & Rocky. Though it’s not like there isn’t ground for Briscoe teaming with Hobbs when they were the ones that confronted the Murder Machines last week.
Good promo from Bandido to respond to Jericho and call him out, and Johnny TV wanting a match with him is interesting. I suppose Johnny can take a loss for Bandido to get some momentum back before having it out with Jericho one more time. Good promo from MJF to set up meeting with MVP next week. I can’t be sure which way he’s going to swerve us. Mentioning he needs back up to take on The Death Riders would make me think he accepts MVP’s offer, but referencing Adam Cole turning on him makes me think he won’t. It’d make the most sense if he accepted the help, because it’s means to an end.
Great match from Ospreay VS Fox, and a great win for Ospreay to keep his momentum up from Revolution. I do appreciate him selling the damage from Revolution to add some doubt into his story. Ospreay will surely make it to the finals of the Owen Hart Cup, but his odds of winning shifted the moment Hangman Page said he’d be in. Hangman was denied the Cup last year, he might make good on a second attempt, especially if Swerve wins at Dynasty. Moxley VS Cope being a Street Fight went about how I expected: The entrances turned into a brawl, that brawl went all over the place, and then there was major overbooking. As such, Moxley wins, honestly making him look weak for it, but I suppose most Heel champs do end up like that.
FTR being part of the save that didn’t help Cope win, that’s a clever way of adding to the frustrations of FTR that is also sending them down a Heel path. Granted, this moment in itself, with Dax being the most upset and not even wanting Cash to talk to him feels out of place. There should’ve been something like this even before the “frustrations” from facing Undisputed Kingdom showed up. Chalk it up to more of TK’s backwards booking like he’s done with Jericho feuds. But I don’t see FTR breaking up, Cash will just start to see things Dax’s way and FTR goes Heel again as they keep after the AEW World Tag Team Championships.
Very good matches made for Collision and the awkward two-parter it has to pull because of NCAA basketball. Hart VS Aminata is going to be really good, but Aminata’s feud with Deeb is still on standby, so I think Hart wins out. And great main event from Megan and Kris tonight, with Toni doing another excellent job on commentary. Great win for Megan, and great brawl from her and Toni before Toni makes it official. Toni is a master at innuendos in her promos. That title match is going to be awesome, but I would think Toni finds a way to retain. Megan is great, but it might be a bit too soon for her to be world champion.

The Underboss gets Adrianna Rizzo & Luca Crusifino pumped up. Tonight, they get revenge on “The Culling” for everything they’ve done. What’s Rizz gonna do to Izzi? Break her face! That’s right! Tony D checks on them, asking if they’re ready. Oh, yeah, they’re ready, T. Good, good. But Stacks feels maybe Tony should stay in the back. Luca is upset by that suggestion, but Stacks says when they wreck The Culling, Spears will be desperate, and he’ll do anything to hold onto the NXT North American Championship. They need Tony at 100% for the rematch. Stacks is thinking two to three steps ahead, just like Tony taught him.
After all, Stacks learned from the best. Tony says hold on. Stacks wants Tony to wait in the back? Now he’s thinking like the Underboss! See, if the Underboss says it’s handled, then it’s handled. Tony is good if they’re good. Rizzo says yeah, they’re good. Luca says they know the game plan, so they’re ready. Tony wishes them luck, but will the D’Angelo Family be able to stop The Culling before they get started?

Vaquer smiles and says holding these two titles makes her the best of the best, La Mejor de Mejores! And now, Vaquer is ready for her first opponent, the woman who will step into this ring, look her in the eyes, and- WAIT! Here comes Jordynne Grace! The fans fire up for the Juggernaut and she already has a mic to say, “Stephanie, let me just start by saying congratulations. You truly are a trailblazer, and I cannot give you enough credit for that. But you’re not the only one who accomplished something last week.
“I beat Roxanne Perez, a woman who elevated one of those titles that you’re holding to a completely different level. That victory puts me first.” But JAIDA PARKER knocks Jordynne over! Eddy says he and Ridge have stuff in common, really. It seems that no matter what they do, or how hard they try, the others don’t accept them. But screw ’em! Every single one! Ridge says he likes that attitude. And yeah, NXT brings that shiny new toy off the street in Ricky Saints, but Ridge is the one putting years of work into this company. Yet it’s Ridge getting shafted, just like Eddy. And y’know what it is? Ricky is a “sports entertainer,” just like Trick Williams.
Well then, Ridge will deal with his “entertainer,” so Eddy should deal with his. Eddy says bet. These two thinking alike might be a worst case scenario for everyone else on the roster. But will both Yorkshire Grit and Alpha Wolf be victorious tonight? Or will they learn Ricky and Tricky are far more than entertainers?

Niko rains down forearms, taunts him, then clamps on a chinlock. Stacks endures as the fans rally up, and Stacks fights around. Stacks stands, but Niko wrangles him right back down! The NXT General Manager knows that as the double champion, Vaquer wanted a challenge, so she’s got it. Next week, Vaquer VS Jaida for THE NXT Women’s Championship. Vaquer says being the best of the best women’s division, she- gets interrupted by Fallon Henley… The Toxic Cowgirl asks if Ava remembers her. Unfortunately, yes. Then when is her championship match? Ava says they talk about this almost every week, or even every day! And Fallon will keep bringing it up! She deserves her rematch! Vaquer tells Ava that she can give Fallon the rematch. Perfect! Hear that? And Fallon wants it next week.
Well, next week won’t work. As Ava just said, it is Vaquer VS Jaida. Uh, not Fallon’s problem. Vaquer wants to be double champion, right, La Primera? Vaquer says Fallon already knows Vaquer is La Primera? Oh, does she? Then Vaquer has no problem facing her after the match with Jaida. Vaquer says done. Fallon asks Ava if she heard that. Vaquer is giving Fallon her title match. Ava says fine, good, Fallon got what she wanted, now go. And don’t let the door hit her on the way out. Ava says two title matches next week is a big night for Vaquer. Vaquer nods, but will she make it through next week’s double header?

Jacy clamps on a chinlock, Karmen endures, even as Jacy digs a knee into her back. The fans rally, Karmen fights up, and she JAWBREAKERS free! Jacy ROCKS Karmen, Karmen ROCKS Jacy, but then Jacy mule kicks! Jacy fires up, whips, but Karmen ducks ‘n’ dodges, DOUBLE LARIATS takes both women down! Wait, Adonis has a chair?! Adonis slides that into the ring and wants Karmen to use it? The ref says don’t do it, and Karmen is a bit surprised Adonis is suggesting this.
Karmen picks up the chair, and she gives it back to Adonis. Jacy storms up, Karmen ROCKS and CHOPS her! Karmen whips, Jacy reverses, but Karmen goes up and over. Jacy ROLLING ELBOWS!! Cover, Jacy wins!

The Encore rocks Karmen and now Jacy rolls down this Road to WrestleMania Weekend. Is Adonis a bad influence on Karmen? Or was he thinking too much with his heart and not with his head?
Hank ‘n’ Tank regroup backstage.
Tank is upset, they did what the Hardy Boyz said and it didn’t work. Hank wonders if they did it wrong. Tank says they must have. They got advice from one of the best tag teams in the world, and they still came up short. Tank isn’t sure what to do anymore. Hank says they just need more advice. They should talk to other teams more on the level. Wes Lee, Tyson Dupont & Tyriek Igwe walk in, and Wes says it doesn’t matter what information you get from whatever legendary tag team. If you ain’t got it, then you ain’t got it. Stick to what you’re good at. And by the looks of things, that’s eating contests.
Hahaha, very funny. Hank keeps Tank from going after the Wes Side as they head back out. But is it true? Is there just something that Hank ‘n’ Tank are missing?
Jaida Parker exits Ava’s office.
Miss Parker tells the camera, “Look. Next week, my NXT Women’s title match against Stephanie Vaquer is set. I told y’all I am done waiting around, because it is Stand & Deliver season. And the new girl, Jordynne Grace, messed around and found out. Nobody gets in my way of me getting what I want. And what I want is to walk in Las Vegas, at Stand & Deliver, as THE NXT Women’s Champion. And next week, we not shooting dice, we not playing no cards, and we damn sure ain’t spinning no wheels. We are getting a NEW NXT Women’s Champion, and you’re looking right at her. Clock it.” Will Miss Parker get #OutTheMud and have that gold?
In the background, Karmen and Adonis seem to be arguing about what happened out there. Adonis is trying to apologize, but Karmen storms off. Is the romcom turning into a tragic romance?
Ricky Saints VS Ridge Holland!
The Absolute Revolution has begun, and he now has his first singles match in NXT. But will he also have his first singles win? Or will he fail to get past the Yorkshire Grit?
NXT returns and Ridge makes his entrance. Tensions are already running high, and the ref has to keep them apart as they start hand fighting! The bell rings, and now the two tie up. Ricky headlocks, Ridge powers out, but Ricky comes back. Ridge puts Ricky on ropes, then ROCKS him with a cheap shot! Ridge CLUBS Ricky, brings him around to shove and RAM down low! The fans rally for Ricky as Ridge UPPERCUTS him in the corner! And UPPERCUTS again! Ridge stalks Ricky, but Ricky UPPERCUTS! And CHOPS! Ricky fires hands, then whips, but Ridge reveres to scoop and pop around, only for Ricky to slip free.
Ricky shoves, dodges a lariat, then DROPKICKS! The fans fire up and Ricky strikes his pose! Ricky storms up on Ridge but Ridge claims he’s got a loose tooth or something. He has the ref check, then he sucker punches Ricky! Ridge uses a new trick to get the edge, and he RAMS into Ricky again and again! Ridge scoops and SLAMS Ricky, then pushes him down to cover. TWO, but Ridge stalks Ricky to ropes. Ridge CHOKES Ricky on the ropes, lets off at 4, and then he taunts Ricky as being soft. Ridge suplexes high and hard, then covers, TWO! Ricky swipes at Ridge, but Ridge drags him up for a whip. Ricky sunset flips, TWO!
Ridge gets up, and he CLOBBERS Ricky! The fans boo but Ridge ignores them. Ridge drags Ricky up to CLUB him with crossface forearms again and again! Ricky crawls to ropes, Ridge storms over and CLUBS him again. Ricky grits his teeth in pain, but Ridge brings him around. Ridge whips, Ricky ducks ‘n ‘dodges, and Ricky SHOULDER TACKLES Ridge down! Ricky keeps moving, and he ELBOWS Ridge in the corner! Ricky whips, Ridge reverses, but Ricky BOOTS him away! Ricky goes up, but Ridge YANKS him down! Ridge drags Ricky up to then atomic BACKBREAKER! Ricky flounders out of the ring but Ridge pursues.
Fans taunt Ridge with, “Ridge You Suck!” Ridge RAMS Ricky into the apron, puts him in the ring, then storms around. Ridge taunts Ricky, drags him up, and short arm LARIATS! The fans still rally for Ricky but Ridge drags him up again. Ridge suplexes Ricky out of the ring! Ricky hits the apron hard, then Ridge BLASTS him down! The fans boo while Ridge taunts Ricky, and NXT goes picture in picture.
Ricky sits up in a daze, but Ridge goes out after him. Ridge hauls Ricky up to then RAM him into the post! Ricky flounders to the barriers, but Ridge storms after him. Ridge UPPERCUTS Ricky, puts him in the ring, and then storms after him in the corner. Ridge whips corner to corner hard, and Ricky falls to the mat! Ridge storms up on Ricky, talks more trash, then drops an ELBOW! Ricky sputters and coughs, but Ridge scuffs him. Ridge looms over Ricky, drags him back up, but Ricky hits a cradle! TWO, and Ridge CLOBBERS Ricky! Ricky flounders to a corner, but Ridge is on him again. Ridge whips corner to corner hard, then scoops for a BACKBREAKER!
Ricky writhes and crawls but Ridge pushes him to a cover, TWO! Ridge is frustrated but he stalks Ricky along the ropes. Ridge drags Ricky up, but Ricky ROCKS Ridge with haymaker after haymaker! Ridge kicks Ricky’s leg out, then scoops for another BACKBREAKER! Cover, TWO! Ridge is further frustrated, but he stalks Ricky to a corner. Ridge puts Ricky on ropes, stomps him down, then lets him writhe. Ridge drags Ricky back up, whips him to a corner hard, and Ricky falls back! Ridge takes his time storming over to Ricky, and he clamps on a BEARHUG! Ricky endures the squeeze, and he throws hands!
NXT returns to single picture as Ridge thrashes Ricky around, but Ricky still fires hands. Ridge shifts to a waistlock, but Ricky elbows free! Ridge gets Ricky in a full nelson, swings him around, but Ricky uses that to sunset flip! TWO!! Ridge gets free, but Ricky runs back up. Ridge RAMS Ricky into the corner! Ridge looms over Ricky, stands him back up, and shoves him into ropes. Ridge ROCKS Ricky in the back! The fans boo but Ridge shoves and ROCKS Ricky again. The fans rally, Ricky hobbles, but Ridge shoves him again. Ricky ELBOWS Ridge, ROCKS him, and runs, but into another scoop! GUTBUSTER! Cover, TWO!
Ricky stays in this and goes to ropes, but Ridge drags him into a REAR BEARHUG! The fans rally, Ricky endures, but Ridge leans on the hold. Ricky still endures, reaches out, and the fans rally harder. Ricky fights, stands, and reaches out, but Ridge THROWS Ricky down! The fans boo but Ridge drags Ricky back up. Ridge reels Ricky in, gut wrenches him to a Canadian Rack, but Ricky kicks and flails! Ricky endures that Argentine Backbreaker Rack, but he kicks off buckles! Ricky is free! Ridge runs up, but Ricky BACKDROPS him! The fans fire up for Ricky again while Ridge staggers up. Ricky fires body shots and haymakers!
Ridge grabs at Ricky but Ricky ROCKS him, and ENZIGIRIS him! The fans fire up while Ridge goes to ropes. Ricky storms up, whips, but Ridge reverses. Ricky turns the backdrop into a SWINGING NECKBREAKER! Ridge tumbles out of the ring, the fans boo, but Ricky pursues! Ricky CHOPS Ridge, and CHOPS him again! Ricky fires haymakers again, then bumps him off buckles. Ricky puts Ridge back in and pounds the mat. The fans rally up, but Ridge RAMS Ricky into a corner again! Ridge ROCKS Ricky, then hoists him up top. The fans rally for “AB-SO-LUTE!” as Ridge climbs up. Ridge rains down some fists, but Ricky hits back!
The fans fire up as Ricky fires hands, then slips under Ridge! Ricky YANKS Ridge down, ELBOWS him away, then baits him into a corner! Ridge hits buckles, Ricky BOOTS him down! Ridge is up, but Ricky reel shim in, and he uses the ropes for the TORNADO DDT! The fans fire up and Ridge powers up! Gut wrench, ROSHAMBEAUX!! Cover, Ricky wins!

Ridge Da Fridge did some damage, but Ricky still powered through! It wasn’t exactly a miracle for Saints, but will this be just the beginning of his rise to superstardom?

The Game knows that while WrestleMania is a big weekend, Night Two ends and it’s still kinda early in Las Vegas. People will wanna go, do something, see something big. Any ideas? The Miz suggests a roast. Wait, a roast? Yes, the Roast of WrestleMania, hosted by Tony Hinchcliffe! Wow, that could go off the rails in a really bad way. Let’s do it! That’s right, the WrestleMania Weekend got that much bigger and wilder! What won’t Tony and friends have to say about the WWE? You have to tune in Sunday night, April 20th, 10 PM Pacific (1 AM Monday morning for the East Coast) to find out!
NXT Media catches up with Dion’s crew.
The reporter asks why they went after Tony D tonight, but Dion says, “Everybody knows what we got to say, right? Everybody knows what we all about. So I’ll tell you like this. We heard that here in NXT, you gotta earn your spot. And that makes us sick! The whole ‘We are NXT’ bull. Nah. Waiting around got us nowhere!” Cutler James says, “Look, the four of us aren’t built to sit on the sidelines. What you see here, four gamechangers. Four difference makers.” Osiris Griffin says, “We saw the landscape of NXT, and that don’t work for us. We’re restructuring, remodeling, reshaping it the way that we want it.”
And Saquon Shugars says, “I’ll make it real, real simple for y’all, G. When Dark State strikes, ain’t nobody safe! And the chaos is fittin’ to continue. And we made our statement. Did we make our statement tonight?” Cutler thinks so. Shugars says he isn’t so sure. They probably don’t get it yet, so these four are going to make sure they get it! These four storm back inside, who won’t be a target for them?
BREAKING NEWS for NXT next week!
Not only will Stephanie Vaquer bookend the night, opening with Jaida Parker for the NXT Women’s Championship and then main eventing with Fallon Henley for the NXT Women’s North American Championship, Je’Von Evans gets his own shot at gold! Or in this case, a trophy! Will Je’Von take the Heritage Cup away from Lexis King? Or will this still be the Drama King’s kingdom?
Backstage interview with Ricky Starks.
Kelly Kincaid congratulates The Absolute on his first singles win, and he thanks her for that. As they all know, it is Stand & Deliver season, so every win counts, every moment matters. And Ricky will deliver on every single promise that he stated when he first got here. That starts with him bringing an entirely new revolution to- The Culling interrupts. Izzi tells Kelly to leave, so Kelly does. Ricky says, “Oh. I guess the interview’s over now, huh? Thanks, guys. Lemme guess: Y’all don’t care about outsiders either?” Niko tells Ricky that his revolution is happening right before his eyes. What they just did to the D’Angelo Family-
Ricky stops Niko there. It took four guys to take out Tony. Izzi says Ricky has the confidence of a much, much larger man, and she’ll give him credit, Ricky’s charisma and star power is among the best in the world. But it just doesn’t seem like he measures up. Ricky tells Spears that he shouldn’t be laughing, and he tells Izzi that she needs to get her eyes checked. One thing about Ricky Saints is that he always measures up, in the right places. Ricky also gives Niko a quick look up and down. Izzi says sure, and Spears scoffs. The Culling heads out, but will The Chair Man have to accept he’s now a target with that gold on his shoulder?
NXT Underground: Trick Williams VS Eddy Thorpe!
It has gone back and forth between these two, the NXT Championship the underlining reason for the conflict. But things have gotten rather personal because of it, and this is the only way they can put it to rest! Who doesn’t so much win as survives when there are no ropes and nothing holding them back?
NXT returns and superstars surround the ring, including those from Evolve. Trick makes his entrance and the fans fire up as they chant, “WHOOP DAT TRICK!” The introductions are made for this big fight feel main event, and in the end, there can only be ONE King of the Underground!
The bell rings and the two circle. Eddy feels things out, as does Trick, but both men are wary of the other. They clinch, Trick headlocks, but Eddy hits a takedown! The fans and the superstars rally as Eddy and Trick scrap, then they roll off the ring and to the floor! Eddy stands Trick up to ROCK him, and everyone else has to get out of the way as Trick stumbles along. Eddy pursues, ROCKS Trick, then knees him low! Eddy has the Evolve stars move, then whips, but Trick reverses! Eddy crashes into steel steps! The fans fire up as the ref checks Eddy, but Eddy is still in this. Trick drags Eddy up and puts him back on the ring.
Tricky storms up, but he dodges Eddy’s lariat! Trick UPPERCUTS Eddy off the ring and onto the ground! The fans fire up for Trick, was that a knockout? Trick doesn’t let the ref check, he pays homage to Ilja Dragunov with the H-BOMB FOREARM, only for Eddy to move! Trick crashes on the floor with a thud! The fans rally up, the Evolve stars pound the apron, and Eddy puts Trick back on the ring. Eddy dodges the Trick Shot to BUSAIKU KNEE! Trick falls to the floor, the ref checks, but Trick is still in this. Eddy goes after Trick to then pay homage to Randy Orton! DESK BACK SUPLEX! Trick and the table collapse in a heap and the fans lose their minds!
The fans rally for “NXT! NXT!” as Eddy puts Trick back on the ring. Eddy storms up, drags Trick to his feet, but Trick wrenches out! Trick ROCKS Eddy with haymaker after haymaker! Then he UPPERCUTS again! Eddy staggers around, Trick scoops and SLAMS! And then scoops and SLAMS! Trick wants Eddy to get up, and then he clinches, but Eddy clamps onto an arm! Eddy drags Trick down into a TRIANGLE HOLD! No ropes means no ropebreaks as Trick flails! Trick deadlifts and POWERBOMBS Eddy! But Eddy holds on! Trick endures, flails, and fights up again! Another deadlift, for another POWERBOMB, onto the Evolve stars!
The fans are thunderous as Eddy wipes out quite a lot of those young up-and-comers! Eddy manages to get up from that heap of humanity, goes back tot he ring, and he dodges a kick! But not the TRICK SHOT!! Trick HAMMERS away on Eddy, the ref calls it! TRICK WINS!!
Winner: Trick Williams, by knockout
The Alpha Wolf thought he could take a bite out of this former NXT Champion, but he just got whooped! Trick grabs a mic, and he has them cut his music. “Eddy Thorpe, you better learn how to squabble. Now that we gettin’ ready for Stand & Deliver season… Oba! Bring your punk ass out here! Hold on. Make sure you got my title.” The fans are stunned, but The Ruler makes his way out here! The NXT Champion will not back down from being called out, and he throws his shirt off! Oba steps to Trick, both men let their hair down, but then the lights go out! IT’S THEM! DARK STATE IS IN THE BUILDING!
Je’Von rushes out here and he says this is what he’s talking about! Stand united or get taken out again! Trick SHOVES Je’Von down!? Does Trick not understand what’s going on?! Oba doesn’t seem to care, either, as he and Trick start throwing hands! Je’Von goes after Trick, too! Oba throws Je’Von aside, wanting Trick to himself, but now the other superstars hurry in to break this up! It is just as Dark State wants: CHAOS! CHAOS! CHAOS! As the stars of Evolve try and break this up, Oba and Trick throw them all off, to throw hands with each other again! Je’Von runs up, OG CUTTER on Oba! Je’Von then stares Trick down, wanting him to understand.
Dark State smiles, because their work here is done without them even having to go to ringside. But can The Young OG get his own role model, Trick Williams, to open both his eyes and his ears about what really matters here in NXT? Or will Je’Von just have to lead the charge himself?
My Thoughts:
A great NXT, some pretty wild action, and maybe just a few odd moves. A great opening match with Sol and Chelsea, but of course Piper & Alba are factors. Even with that, Chelsea shows good match strategy working over a leg. Legs are part of everyone’s wrestling style, but it is even more crucial to Sol’s because of her springboards. Chelsea gets a great win but Sol looks good all the same, I wonder if Zaria gets a shot of her own before Stand & Deliver. And very good stuff with Vaquer already setting up her first double header as double champion. Good promo from Vaquer herself, and Jaida attacking Grace as Grace was about to make her challenge was great.
But you have to know that if Jaida is having her match next week, she’s losing. She’ll have her best match ever, and she had a very good promo on her own later, but she’s gonna lose. But she shouldn’t feel too bad, Fallon is surely losing, too. Fallon is not going to just take that title back the moment Vaquer became double champion, but she might also have one of her best matches yet. Vaquer will surely battle Grace at Stand & Deliver for at least one of the titles, but it really depends on what the plans are for both titles. Vaquer could do another double header, she could do a double title match with Grace, or we could even get a Triple Threat in the same spirit as Becky VS Charlotte VS Ronda. After all, Vegas is all about raising the stakes.
The Women’s Division also had a good match from Karmen VS Jacy, but I didn’t think we’d get Adonis trying to Heel things up and costing Karmen like that. They made it past Valentine’s Day, who knows where this story goes from here. As for Fatal Influence, if Fallon doesn’t win the Women’s North American title, I wouldn’t mind seeing Fatal Influence working towards the tag titles. There can even be dysfunction over which two are going for them, where Jacy and Fallon end up putting Jazmyn in the middle, she can’t choose, and so it ends up Jacy and Fallon as the duo for some major dysfunction that just tears the group apart.
Hank ‘n’ Tank VS Briggs & Inamura was great because not only was it big meaty men slapping meat, it was big meaty men moving at high speeds like they were cruiserweights. Though that last dive from Hank was pretty wild, it is a good thing these two are probably ditching the Hardy style. Good promo from them and The Wes Side, and I would think we get Hank ‘n’ Tank VS Tyson & Tyriek. Someone who should be advising Hank ‘n’ Tank is Bubba Ray. Hank ‘n’ Tank are definitely more a Dudley Boyz kind of team, being big guys who can hit hard. Plus, I could see them wearing those Dudley glasses and making it work.
Good stuff in the D’Angelo Family story, with Tony trusting Stacks’ judgment call on the Mixed Six with “The Culling.” But then what irony in Dark State took Tony out anyway. Also as faction names go, The Culling and Dark State (Darkstate?) don’t really match either group. The Culling did have a promo to go with the context of that name, “reduction of a wild animal population by selective slaughter,” which is supposedly what they’re going to do with NXT by eliminating The D’Angelo Family and others. Dark State is a physics term but also a political one, but they’re definitely not using the first. But even then, Dion, Cutler, Osiris & Saquon don’t really fit this idea of a rogue movement within an organization or government.
Ricky VS Ridge was a really good match, certainly followed the classic formula of the Face fighting a bigger Heel, and it was a solid win for Ricky. The seeds were planted for Saints VS Spears for the North American Championship with that backstage promos, and that will be a great match. Je’Von is making big moves for being a young star, as he has a very good promo with Trick to bring up the issue Dark State is becoming. I’m not going to say this is NXT’s response to AEW’s Death Riders story, but the parallels are there. Just as Darby Allin wanted AEW to stay united against The Death Riders, Je’Von wants NXT to stay united against Dark State. We know Darby got thrown down stairs, we’ll have to wait and see where Je’Von VS Dark State goes.
Trick VS Eddy was a great Underground match, though maybe leaning more into the “sports entertainment” of Trick as Eddy flew away with that uppercut to sell for Trick. Trick winning and then challenging Oba made sense, and then it was great for Trick, Oba and Je’Von to brawl while Dark State watched from afar. Again, there’s parallels to AEW VS Death Riders, and who knows who Je’Von recruits to help fight Dark State, but we could get some really good stuff going forward.
