It’s been a hell of a ride. Two years ago, they were literally facing each other, no aspirations for tag titles. But then the Dusty Cup came up, and the rest is history. But how do they fare against the main roster? Motor City Machine Guns, Street Profits, DIY. But the more they run, the farther and higher Frazer can see this going. Axiom says they could become some of the best! Edge & Christian, The Usos, The Hardy Boys! But they can’t overlook Briggs & Inamura. Big, strong, world class athletes. But Fraxiom is at their best when they’re backed against the wall. They always overcome. Stand & Deliver 2024 to here and now, completely different animals.
If they keep going like this, they will be undeniably the best tag team in the world! And who knows? Maybe they could be the greatest team of all time! Fraxiom fist bump, could this be the moment they solidify their legacies forever? Or does the team that never slows down finally hit a brick wall?
Exclusive interview with Je’Von Evans.
Vic Joseph appreciates Je’Von taking this time, but he asks how Je’Von is. Je’Von says he’s finally been able to eat solid foods, so he’ll be ready for the match. Then what has it taken to get to this spot? Je’Von says it all kinda takes you to a place where you learn your limits. Throughout this break, Je’Von found his. And Ethan finds out how far he’ll go. Vic sees there’s still some swelling, and Ethan is a man who has gone so far as to break bones. Is Je’Von scared to get back in the ring? Je’Von says he’d be lying if he acted like he wasn’t. Two months, Je’Von has been worried about being able to eat, smell, let alone wrestle,
Je’Von went through some dark spots, but then he saw how Ethan was enjoying what he was doing to other people. That motivated Je’Von to come back. Then how confident is he in his trademark smile coming back. Je’Von isn’t sure he can smile. He took that for granted, he isn’t sure where he is with that. But he’ll go through Hell on Vengeance Day if he has to. Then Vic brings up the liability waiver. WWE will not be responsible for what happens to Je’Von in this match. Has Je’Von honestly asked himself, “Is this worth risking it all?” Je’Von has been thinking about that a lot. Ethan said he took Je’Von’s smile to get his back.
And at Vengeance Day, Je’Von says yes, it is worth taking this risk. He is going up against someone no one likes, who put Je’Von on the shelf, who will do anything to get what he wants. Je’Von’s jaw was busted, and he’s expected to stay back as the new kid? No! Ethan will see a side of Je’Von no one has seen before. Je’Von isn’t here to smile, he’s here to whoop Ethan’s ass. Vic wishes Je’Von luck and hopes he’ll be safe. Will the pain and the fear not be enough to keep the Young OG down?
Stephanie Vaquer speaks.
“I have survived things that should have broke me. Things that forced me to live in Hell for a long time. But that Hell became my home. Now, I am one with the fire. And I burn through everything in my path. Fallon, you crossed the wrong one. I will become NXT Women’s North American Champion and make history. In Hell, I will show you why I am La Primera.” This GOAT in the making has put the Cowgirl on notice, will Vaquer have her vengeance?
Backstage interview with A-Town Down Under.
Sarah Schreiber thanks Grayson Waller & Austin Theory for taking this time. They have some history in NXT, and then found success on SmackDown and Raw. What’re the highlights of their NXT careers? Waller says NXT was very important. He was a no name indie wrestler from Australia. He wasn’t “the guy” but he made a name, went viral, had main roster talent begging to face him, and then Waller wins the inaugural Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge. Oh, also, he beat Johnny Gargano! Best night of his life! Theory remembers he was in The Way with Gargano. Yeah, but that was in the past, long gone.
Theory says sure, but when he was in NXT, he was in there with a lot of sharks. He did his best to swim, but went to main roster quickly to become United States Champion. Waller sarcastically adds that Theory beat Cena, in case no one’s said that before. Sarah says they also had success as a team, winning the WWE Tag Team Championships at last year’s WrestleMania. But then, why would they come back to challenge for THE NXT Championship? Theory says “Oba Rated” needed a star presence. He needs two superstars to show him that way. The Grayson Waller Rub, if you would. Ava Raine asked ATDU to be here, and Oba has no idea what’s waiting on the main roster.
There are sharks up there, they smell blood in the water. ATDU came down here to see what Oba’s about, and now he’s gonna lose that title cuz he’s too arrogant. A shame. Yes, they did both drop Oba together, A-Town Down to the Down Under Stunner. But then they both grabbed the belt. Waller sees what this is. They’re all so desperate to break this up! Why? Because they’re the best team? Cuz they’re so entertaining? Cuz no one can touch them in the ring or on the mic? They ain’t playing that game. There WILL be a new champion, no matter what. But it isn’t a Handicap Match, it’s a Triple Threat. If it was up to them, who’d walk out of there as champion?
Waller and Theory each say “Me,” but then they say “Us.” Waller wishes they had Vic, he’s much better at this. But all that attitude aside, will either Waller or Theory win that title? Or are they the ones too arrogant about their chances?

NXT Women’s North American Championship: Fallon Henley w/ The Fatal Influence VS Stephanie Vaquer!
The Cowgirl’s toxic team helped her take this title from Kelani Jordan, and then helped her keep it from Shotzi Blackheart, but Jacy Jayne & Jazmyn Nyx were made to look like fools just days ago. Will La Primera be able to win this title on her first try? Or will it be #YEEHAWB*TCH in the Nation’s Capital?
The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see who is really the best!
We of course see Jaida Parker, Kelani Jordan & Karmen Petrovic The bell rings and the fans are all fired up for “STEHPANEI! STEPHAHNIE!” Vaquer and Fallon tie up, go around, and are in a deadlock. Vaquer wrenches an arm, throws Fallon down, then wristlocks. Fallon headscissors, the fans rally, and Vaquer kips free. The fans cheer as the two reset and stare down. They circle, tie up, and Vaquer waistlocks to SLAM Fallon! Vaquer facelocks, Fallon rolls to wrench free, but Vaquer rolls, handsprings, and wrenches back. Fallon rolls, then trips Vaquer to turn her over for a headlock. Vaquer rolls to a cover, TWO!
Fallon covers, ONE! Fallon SLAPS Vaquer, talks smack, but Vaquer just scowls at her. Fallon runs up to body scissor roll, TWO! Vaquer is up, she returns the favor but with an inside roll, and then a KNEEBAR! Fallon kicks around but Vaquer powers her through to a toehold, and then STF! The fans fire up while Fallon endures! Jacy & Jazmyn coach Fallon, she reaches out, ROPEBREAK! Vaquer lets go, glaring at Jacy. Vaquer drags Fallon back, and she KICKS Fallon in the side! The fans rally and Vaquer wraps on the headscissors! But Fallon scrambles to the ROPEBREAK! The fans boo, they all wanted that driver!
The ref counts, Vaquer lets go, and she backs off. Fallon SLAPS her again! The fans boo but Vaquer just glares at Fallon. Fallon swings, into an ARMBAR TAKEDOWN, then a straitjacket stretch! Fallon stands up, moves around, but Vaquer brings her back to STRETCH! Fallon rolls back, but Vaquer victory rolls her, TWO! Vaquer says it was that close. Fallon storms up, waistlocks, but Vaquer switches. Vaquer drags Fallon down, body scissors, O’Conner! TWO, and Fallon scrambles to her feet, Vaquer wheelbarrows, but Fallon turns arm-drag into ARMBAR! Vaquer fights, the fans rally, and Vaquer fights around to a stack cover! TWO!
Fallon hurries to whip, but Vaquer reverses. Vaquer runs up, but Fallon puts her up top! Vaquer blocks the slap into a HANGING ARMBAR! The fans cheer but the ref counts, Vaquer lets go at 4. Vaquer then goes up, but Fallon BOOTS her down! The fans boo, but Jazmyn distracts the ref so Jacy can BOOT Vaquer down! The fans boo while Jacy talks trash, then Jacy puts Vaquer in! Fallon hurries to BOOT Vaquer against the post! The fans chants, “REF, YOU SUCK!” Fallon drags Vaquer up to stomp away on Vaquer. Fallon digs her boots in, but lets off as the ref counts. Fallon drags Vaquer up to whip her to ropes, then LARIATS!
Fallon rains down fists on Vaquer, then covers, TWO! The fans cheer but Fallon seethes as she drags Vaquer up. Fallon puts Vaquer on ropes to CHOKE her! The ref counts, Fallon steps off at 4, then runs to saunter and STRADDLE ATTACK! The fans boo, Fallon steps off again, and Fallon puts Vaquer in a corner. Fallon brings Vaquer up, but Vaquer fires shots in return! The fans cheer as Vaquer whips. Fallon whips Vaquer, then ROCKS her! Fallon cravats but Vaquer powers out, only for Fallon to ROCK her again!
Fallon wrangles Vaquer to a snapmare, then SLIDING FOREARM! Cover, TWO! The fans cheer but Fallon is frustrated. Fallon drags Vaquer up by her hair, the fans rally for Vaquer, but Fallon fires forearms! Fallon bumps Vaquer off buckles, then lines up a shot. Fallon runs in, goes up, up, and BLOCKBUSTERS! Cover, TWO! Vaquer survives and Fallon is frustrated again. Fallon clamps on a chinlock and grinds Vaquer into the mat. The fans rally, Vaquer fights up, but Fallon knees low! Vaquer fires a forearm! Fallon fires back! Fallon storms up to bring Vaquer around, whips her to a corner, but Vaquer dodges!
Vaquer fireman’s carries Fallon, Fallon slips free and THRWOS her by her hair! The ref reprimands, the fans boo, but Fallon storms back up on Vaquer. Fallon whips, Vaquer reverses and she THROWS Fallon by her hair! Vaquer runs up, Fallon dodges, but then Vaquer dodges to SUPERKICK! Fallon is on the ropes. Vaquer dials it up, 619!! The fans are thunderous and Vaquer springboards, CROSSBODY! Then a clinch and BIG back suplex! Vaquer is feeling it now, and she wraps on those headscissors! Vaquer DRIVES Fallon into the mat! The fans count along, and Vaquer goes all the way to TEN! Cover, TWO!!
Fallon survives those Primera Drivers but Vaquer isn’t done with her. Fallon BOOTS her away, but Vaquer comes back to CLOBBER her int he corner! Vaquer runs, but Fallon follows to ELBOW her in a corner! Fallon runs, Vaquer follows, kitchen sink knee! Vaquer CHOPS, ELBOWS, then runs, but Fallon again follows! Leg sweep, and then a basement- NO, Vaquer ducks the enzigiri to arm-drag and leg capture for a cover, TWO! SLINGBLADE from Fallon! Both women are down and the fans are fired up for “NXT! NXT!” Fallon sits up first but Vaquer follows. Fallon stands, she has Vaquer but Vaquer wrenches out, SOLE FOOD!
Vaquer runs up, blocks boots, and she DRAPING DRAGON SCREWS Fallon! Vaquer smiles as she runs corner to corner, METEORA! The fans cheer as Vaquer snapmares Fallon for a cover, TWO! Fallon shows her toughness, but Vaquer underhooks the arms. Fallon fights out, knees low, and she pump handles for a PUMP HANDLE SUPLEX! The fans boo but Fatal Influence coaches Fallon on. Fallon runs, but Vaqure avoids the Famouser to O’Conner Roll! TWO, Vaquer ends up on ropes, and Jacy SUCKER PUNCHES her!! Cover, TWO!!! Vaquer is tougher than that, and Jacy is furious! The fans rally as hard as they can while Fallon drags Vaquer up.
Fallon tells Vaquer she is NOTHING! Vaquer HEADBUTTS her for it! And then she tucks Fallon in, has the arms, but Fallon BACKDROPS free! Fallon has power to spare, and she drags Vaquer up to bump her off buckles. Fallon soaks up heat, runs to the corner, goes up, up, but Vaquer BLASTS her to the outside! Fallon falls to the floor and the fans fire up! Vaquer fetches Fallon, POSTS her, then dodges Jacy to LARIAT Jazmyn! Vaquer DECKS Jacy, SUPERKICKS Jazmyn, then dodges Jacy again to SUPERKICK again! The fans are thunderous, and Vaqur even ducks Fallon’s swing kick! CHOP BLOCK!
Vaquer has Fallon on the apron! Underhooks and… APRON TIGER DRIVER!! Fallon flops onto Jacy & Jazmyn, but Vaquer just goes up, up and CROSSBODY to the outside!! The fans are thunderous as Vaquer topples the Influence! Vaaquer puts Fallon in, storms up on her, and she tucks the arms! S V B!! But she’s not done?! Vaquer puts Fallon in the drop zone, then she goes up, up, and SPIRAL TAP MOONSAULT!! Cover, Vaquer wins!!

As #Fraxiom said during the countdown show, they’re looking to become the greatest tag team of all time, but that might be looking too far ahead into the future. In the present, they’re running into the Bullhead City Brawler and the Great Rush! Will Frazer & Axiom #NeverSlowDown even now? Or will they be brought to a screeching halt by the hoss duo standing before them?
The introductions are made, the belts are raised, and we see who survives this first-time faceoff!
The teams sort out, Axiom starts against Inamura. The bell rings as they circle and tie up. Axiom wrenches around to a wristlock, but Inamura does the same. Inamura scoops, Axiom slips out to headlock. Inamura powers up and out, Frazer tags in, and the speed blitz begins! DOUBLE BASMENT DROPKICSK hit! Briggs runs up but into more kicks! BOOSTED DROPKICK and Briggs tumbles out! Briggs throws a fit but Inamura fires hands on Frazer. Inamura suplexes, Frazer slips free, but Inamura stops the superkick. The DRAGON WHIP hits, Axiom tags in! Another speed blitz knocks Inamura down, then Frazer hits a DDT! Axiom covers, TWO!
Inamura stays in this and the fans rally up. Axiom stands Inamura up, Inamura CHOPS him down! Tag to Briggs, he runs to BOOT Frazer! Axiom CHOPS and fires palm strikes! He hooks Briggs, waistlocks, but Briggs bucks the O’Conner! Axiom kips back up but Briggs BOOTS him back down! Briggs CLBOBERS Frazer again, then he tags Inamura. Briggs choke grips Axiom, but Axiom flips through the lift! Axiom DROPKCISK Inamura, but Briggs gets Axiom again! CHOKE SLAM BACKBREAKER combo!! Inamura covers, TWO! Axiom survives that, but Inamura stomps him. Inamura puts Axiom in the corner to CHOP!
Inamura tags Briggs, Briggs stalks Axiom and stands him up. Briggs CLOBBERS Axiom with a crossface forearm, then covers, TWO! Briggs keeps Axiom down and tells Frazer he can’t do anything about it! The fans rally as Axiom endures, and Axiom fights up to fire body shots. Briggs CLUBS Axiom, then shoves him to the corner. Tag to Inamura, he strikes a sumo stance, and then he fires up! Axiom stands into a SUMO PALM STRIKE FLURRY! And then another CHOP! The fans fire up as Inamura whips Axiom to the corner. Axiom hits buckles hard then falls back. Inamura CHOPS Axiom down, Briggs talks some smack, and the fans duel.
Inamura stands Axiom up to CLUB him, and CHOP him! And CHOP! And CHOP, JAB, CHOP on repeat! DC fires up for Inamura bringing that Strong Style to NXT! Axiom CHOPS, but it doesn’t even hurt Inamura. Inamura winds up, and he CHOPS Axiom back down! Inamura eggs Axiom on, and Axiom stands to CHOP! Inamura nods, he likes that fighting spirit! Inamura CHOPS Axiom down again! Inamura puts his hands back and dares Axiom to hit him again. Axiom POINT BLANK GOLDEN RATIOS! The fans fire up as both men are down! Axiom and Inamura crawl, hot tags to Briggs and Frazer! Axiom GAMANGIRIS Briggs in a corner, then tags Frazer! But Briggs LARIATS Axiom! Inamura catches Frazer, FALL AWAY SLAM! Axiom slips under Briggs, then gets up to POISON-RANA!! Inamura POUNXCES Axiom!! And then scoops, SWINGING- NO, Frazer jumps on for a SLEEPER!! Inamura fades, drops to a knee, but the fans fire up as he rises again! AND SPINS WITH THEM BOTH!! POWERSLAM for Axiom, then a fireman’s carry for Frazer! DEATH VALLEY DRIVER onto Axiom!! Inamura covers, TWO! Frazer survives but Inamura just roars! Inamura drags Axiom onto Frazer, then he goes up top!
Inamura fires up and pumps up, SUMO SPLASH FLOPS!! Frazer & Axiom hurry up, Frazer DIVES at Briggs! Briggs catches him, but Axiom ARIHARA MOONSAULTS!! Fraxiom hurries in and they get Inamura up! Tag tog Axiom, MISSILE DROPKICK HIGH-LOW!! Cover, FRAXIOM WINS!!

Briggs & Inamura pushed Fraxiom to their limit, but Fraxiom still found a way to win! Briggs & Inamura regroup, and they show Fraxiom respect with handshakes. But wait! Who are these four!? Are these those four?! They all attack Inamura, Briggs & Fraxiom! Wait, Dion Lennox is part of this group! Then who are the others? The fans even chant “WHO ARE YOU?! WHO ARE YOU!?” Their names don’t matter, they just destroyed the top teams in NXT! Will this be a hostile takeover of NXT?
Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo speaks.
He says they should’ve seen this coming. The Don retains the title, but then Spears and his squad get the jump on them!? And that… Stacks won’t say what’s in his head because he promises his mom he’d cuss less this year. But IZZI EFFIN’ DAME…! Tony’s back is bad, he hasn’t talked to them yet, but Stacks vows Spears pays for his sins. The Underboss is doing this on his own. If Spears wants Family VS Family, then that’s fine by Stacks. This Tuesday, he takes the head off that snake! The D’Angelo Family is the ONLY Family in NXT! And payback ain’t gonna be pretty.
Strap Match: Eddy Thorpe VS Trick Williams!
The Alpha Wolf feels insulted from being overlooked and pushed aside, but he’s the one that pushed things too far. Eddy vows to leave his mark on NXT one way or another, but will he really be the one to Whoop Dat Trick? Or will Trick make sure Eddy’s the one with the battle scars to look back on?
The introductions are made, and the ref has the strap, but Eddy attacks first! Trick fights back, the fans fire up, and Trick ROCKS Eddy. Trick whips, Eddy grabs the ropes, but Trick LARIATS him up and out! Trick goes out to CHOP Eddy, then CHOPS him again! Trick stalks Eddy towards commentary, pushes him to the railing, and he CHOPS again! Eddy sputters, Trick puts him in the ring, and then Trick dodges a lariat to BACKDROP Eddy! The fans fire up as Trick grabs his end of the strap and, well, straps in. Trick tells Eddy to take his end already. Eddy hesitates, but Trick stomps him for it! The fans fire up and Trick makes Eddy strap in!
The bell rings and this is finally on record! Trick drags Eddy up to LARIAT him back down! Trick uses the strap to stand Eddy up again, for another LARIAT! Trick covers, TWO! Trick drags Eddy up again, but Eddy bails out! The fans rally behind Trick as he goes out the opposite side. Trick YANKS Eddy into the POST! Eddy sputters, Trick drags him into the ring, and then Trick whips to POP-UP UPPERCUT! Eddy flops over and the fans fire up with Trick. Trick again uses the strap to stand Eddy up, but Eddy TOSSES Trick out! Trick uses the strap to YANK Eddy into the HOTSHOT! Eddy falls back, Trick climbs up!
But Eddy YANKS on the strap to bring Trick down! Both men are on the mat and the fans boo Eddy. Trick takes a swing, Eddy dodges, and he uses the strap to trip Trick! Eddy wraps Trick’s legs up with the strap, then he stomps a mudhole into Trick! Cover, TWO! Eddy kicks Trick around, then soaks up the heat. Eddy goes up the corner, but Trick YANKS him down now! The fans cheer as Trick gets even with Eddy there, then gathers up some slack. Eddy avoids the lashing, but Trick runs up! Eddy ducks the boot, has the slack, and he SMACKS Trick on the back! Eddy DUMPS Trick out, goes to the apron, and he LASHES Trick again!
The fans boo but Eddy just soaks it up as he stalks Trick. Eddy CLUBS Trick, ROCKS him, then LASHES him in the ribs! The fans tell Eddy off, but Eddy pushes Trick to then soak up more heat. Eddy gets a taste of the leather before he LASHES Trick again! The fans boo, but Trick SMACKS Eddy off the desk again and again! Trick fires haymakers, then CHOPS! Trick gathers up the slack, but Eddy POSTS Trick! Eddy uses the strap to wrap Trick up at the post! Eddy KICKS Trick again and again, then LASHES him! And LASHES him! And LASHES him again and again! The fans boo but Eddy just soaks it all up.
Eddy goes back to Trick, but Trick BOOTS him! Trick unwraps himself, but Eddy YANKS him into the POST! And BOOTS him down! The fans boo but Eddy goes to the apron. Eddy drags Trick up with the strap, pulling him into the crossbar! Eddy CHOKES Trick like that, but the fans rally for Trick more. “WHOOP DAT TRICK! WHOOP DAT TRICK!” Eddy pushes Trick into the ring, then wraps his fist in leather, before he rains down fists! The fans boo but Eddy just revels in it. But Trick rolls Eddy up! TWO, but Trick scoops! Ethan TOSSES Je’Von out, storms back up, but Je’Von ROCKS Ethan! Je’Von springboards to FLYING LARIAT! That was borderline phenomenal, and Je’Von hurries to cover! TWO! Ethan stays in this but Je’Von stays on him. DC cheers on the Young OG, and Je’Von sits Ethan up. Je’Von springboards, but Ethan stops the cutter! The fans rally as these two circle, but then Oba drags Waller to the apron! Waller BOOTS Oba away, but Oba CHOPS Waller! Theory runs up but Oba CHOPS him! Oba roars and DC is with him! Oba clears the desk! The fans are thunderous as Oba then DOUBLE CHOPS ATDU! Oba lets Waller sputters away and brings Theory in. But Waller slides out to ROCK Oba! Waller SMACKS Oba off the apron, but Oba sends him into steel steps! Theory ROCKS Oba, SMACKS him off the apron, then Theory pulls those steps apart. But Oba ROCKS him in return! Theory tumbles away from that impact, but Oba picks the steps back up. Oba aims at Waller now, but Waller trips Oba up! Oba SMACKS off the steps! Waller hurries to DDT Oba on the steps! Waller takes a little bit of damage himself, but he puts Oba in the ring. The fans rally for Oba but Waller brings in a chair. Waller cravats Oba to fire knee after knee. Fans chant for tables but Waller gives Oba some HAMMER ‘N’ ANVIL ELBOWS, mocking the “HOOT! HOOT!” But Oba rises up to DECK Waller! Waller grabs the chair, and he JAMS Oba up! And SMACKS Oba on the back! The fans boo but Waller JAMS Oba again!
Waller stands over Oba as he JAMS Oba again, then he CHOKES Oba! The ref stops Waller, there’s a limit to what’s allowed. Waller makes Oba take a seat in the chair, JABS him, then goes up the corner. MISSILIE- NO, Oba catches Waller! Waller fires elbows to get free, then runs, but into a FULL METAL SIDEWALK SLAM! The chair is crushed and Waller writhes! Oba covers, Theory breaks it! Theory helps Waller up, then brings Oba around. Oba ROCKS Theory! Theory goes to a corner, Oba runs up, but Theory drop toeholds him into buckles! Sarah is now with the NXT General Manager and brings up the shocking attacks we’ve seen perpetrated tonight. What is her reaction? Ava is at a loss for words. Dion’s group are certainly trying to make an impact, but she will address them accordingly this Tuesday. Sarah also brings up NXT going to Cincinnati for February 25th, and Ava says there are a lot of people wanting to be part of that show. Lexis King has texted her 23 times. Did you know that it was his hometown? But yeah, he made sure she knew. And beyond NXT in Cincy, there will also be the final NXT special edition episode before Stand & Deliver, as Roadblock returns.
Ava says that will be live from The Theater in Madison Square Garden, a massive night! Wait, Arianna Grace returns? She is so happy to see Ava, hugs it out, and says she’s been gone for so long. She wants to thank Ava for letting her be the NXT liaison to TNA. And trust her when she says, it has been amazing. Ava is so glad- Wait, Arianna says there is someone Ava has to meet. Tada! It’s Arianna’s father, Santino Marella! WWE superstar turned TNA Director of Authority, Santino is back and is honored to meet Ava. But wait, they met before when she was little. She’s all grown up, and in a position of authority. Just like Santino!

Both women stand, Bayley blocks a kick to spin Giulia. Giulia slips out of the Rose Plant, then she wrangles Bayley, cravat and a TOSS! The fans duel, Giulia runs, but Cora & Roxie both trip her up! They drag Giulia out, mug her, but Bayley WRECKS them all with a dropkick! Bayley makes sure her boots are on tight, then she goes after Cora. Giulia has Roxie, and they send the two into each other! Giulia climbs up, the fans fire up, but Roxie resists the underhooks! Bayley CLUBS Giulia, climbs up to clinch, but Cora joins in! TOWER OF DOOM PLUS!!! The fans go nuts for the Butterfly Saido Superplex Powerbomb something or other!! “This is Awesome!” as all four women stir on the mat. Cora fires hands on Giulia, but Bayley hits Cora! Cora hits Bayley, Roxie hits Giulia, and the forearms get passed around!
Cora fires off a flurry, as does Roxie! Bayley fires off and DUMPS Roxie! Giulia and Cora go out the other end, and then Bayley stomps away on Roxie. Cora SMACKS Giulia off the apron, then reels her in. Cora snap suplexes Giluia to the floor! Bayley has Roxie, but Roxie CLAWS Bayley’s eyes! POP ROX to the floor! Roxie drags Bayley into the ring, runs, POP ROX again!! Cover, Cora ghost pins Roxie! TWO!! FUTURE SHOCK!! Cover, Giulia KNEES her int he face! Giulia drags Roxie up, for a ARRIVEDERCI!! And then NORTHERN LIGHTS BOMB!! Cover, Giulia wins!!
Winner: Giulia, by pinfall (still NXT Women’s Champion)
A fast ‘n’ furious finish in this Fatal 4 Way, but the title stays with Giulia! The Beautiful Madness reigns, but here comes Vaquer! La Primera also reigns, and she did tell her amiga that this night would only be the beginning. They fist bump and hold up their gold together! WAIT! The sirens are going, and that’s because JORDYNNE GRACE is here! The Juggernaut returns to NXT, and she steps to the ring to look at both champions. The fans are losing their minds as the best women’s division in the world has only gotten greater! What more is in store for this next chapter of NXT?
My Thoughts:
An awesome night for NXT, even with this event now “WWE Vengeance Day.” I am sure I said this before, but it feels like the branding changing from “NXT [event]” to “WWE [event]” is a roundabout way for them to think of NXT as the third brand on par with Raw and SmackDown. After all, WWE Evolve is coming, acting as the developmental show feeding NXT, so NXT can focus on story and bringing in free agents from other companies, more akin to the latter days of “Black ‘n’ Gold” NXT. For example, Ricky Starks, even though even he isn’t giving his name yet. I personally hope he stays “Ricky Starks” but we’ll know on Tuesday.
Another example is Jordynne Grace showing up as a big surprise to end the night. The night being bookended by the women’s division and punctuated by Grace returning was a great move, and I dare say the right move. Vaquer VS Fallon was very good, and while we of course had Kelani, Karmen and Jaida watching, and while we of course got Fatal Influence getting involved, Vaquer winning was again the right move. And then just an incredible Fatal 4 Way for the main event, with the result as I figured. Bayley and Roxie still have beef to settle, and there’s even Roxie VS Cora to be done, one of those combinations being a Stand & Deliver match.
That is to say, Roadblock will be big for NXT, with perhaps a card akin to this one. Next Tuesday is Karmen VS Kelani VS Jaida, winner challenging Vaquer, and that can be done at Roadblock. Giulia VS Grace can also be done at Roadblock, because there is just something telling me Giulia VS Vaquer, Winner Takes All, is in NXT’s back pocket. The only time we got a Champion VS Champion like that was Adam Cole VS Keith Lee, so now it’s about time for the women to have their own showdown. And honestly, either choice between Vaquer and Giulia is a great choice for NXT’s first Women’s Double Champion.
Great grudge matches tonight, and maybe only a little surprising that the Heels won both. In terms of Ethan VS Je’Von, Je’Von got to bring out his aggression and looked great, even though he ends up losing. Maybe this is how we get to an Unsanctioned Match for Je’Von, because if his jaw is kayfabe busted up again, he can’t get a real match with Ethan. Then with Eddy VS Trick, it was only a little surprising that Eddy won. Trick is more or less headed to main roster, and Eddy needed this because he’s been slapped around and made a fool of. They could probably still bring this story to Stand & Deliver, unless they want to plug Trick right into a midcard title story for WrestleMania.
Great stuff seeing Arianna Grace back and her bringing Santino Marella with her. I really hope this means NXTNA gives us a proper crossover event, like Worlds Collide or something similar. There are many possibilities with this new working relationship, the fans will definitely eat it up. What fans might not eat up is Dion Lennox leading a would-be Shield sequel. It was intriguing for them to hype a Vengeance Day debut, but it’s a touch confusing for them to attack twice in one night. The tag title match was awesome, and after Fraxiom were talking themselves up in the countdown show, I thought that was foreshadowing a loss. Fraxiom finds another way to win, and then they and Briggs & Inamura get attacked, naturally implying a tag title story.
But then because there’s four guys in this faction, it also made sense they’d go after THE NXT Champion. That Triple Threat was also awesome stuff, but of course Oba won out. Dion and his guys (I’ve found confirmation on Saquon Shugars and Osiris Griffin but not on the fourth man) got to make an impact, sure, but this doesn’t even work as well as Shield or Nexus did because at least there was somewhere WWE fans knew all the members for, aka they were all from NXT. Dion is the only guy who was on NXT TV before this, the others are just now making their NXT debut, so naturally DC had to ask, “Who Are You?” Yes, Tuesday will give us those answers, but I would’ve thought WWE had learned how to take a step back and see how this could flop, because it kinda did.

The bell rings and the fans rally for “SPEEDBALL! SPEEDBALL!” All four men watch each other, and Davis sticks out like a sore thumb as the biggest guy here. Cassidy rolls through the middle of the group, and the fans cheer! Ricochet and Davis aren’t amused but Bailey applauds. The four feel things out, Davis knuckle locks with Bailey, but Cassidy is a bit more reluctant. Ricochet knuckle locks with Bailey, but Cassidy is still reluctant. Ricochet breaks with Bailey to headlock Cassidy. Bailey fires KICKS on Davis, Cassidy powers out but Bailey sidesteps Ricochet. Cassidy arm-drags Ricochet, Davis waistlocks Bailey.
Bailey elbows free, Cassidy runs up but Bailey sends him into Cassidy! Davis rebounds, Cassidy drops down, Bailey TOSSES Davis out! The fans fire up and now the high-fliers all stand off. Ricochet gets the fans fired up, but then he sucker punches Cassidy! Cassidy falls out and the fans boo. Bailey fires LIGHTNING KICKS on Ricochet! The ENZIGIRIS sends Ricochet tumbling away and the fans fire up again! Cassidy returns, he and Bailey square off. Cassidy fires “lightning” kicks, and the fans go wild! Cassidy then winds up, puts his hands up, and then puts them in his pockets! The fans fire up and Bailey says okay, hold on.
Bailey puts his hands behind his back to mirror Cassidy, and then he starts throwing kicks! Cassidy ducks ‘n’ jumps those feet, then SHOTGUNS Bailey down! Cassidy kips up, but then so does Bailey! The fans rally more as Bailey kicks and Cassidy dodges. Cassidy runs the ropes but Ricochet trips him up! The fans boo as Ricochet drags Cassidy out and THROWS him into barriers! But Bailey runs to SLIDING RANA! The fans fire up again, and Bailey KICKS Ricochet against barriers! Bailey stands Ricochet back up to KICK him again! The fans cheer, Bailey puts Ricochet in and climbs a corner. But Davis grabs Bailey’s foot!
Bailey kicks Davis away, then FLYING- NO! Davis stops the rana to APRON POWERBOMB Bailey! Cassidy DIVES, but Davis catches him, to RAM him into the apron, then APRON BACK SUPLEX! Ricochet runs up to CLUB Davis, but Davis stays up. Ricochet apologizes but Davis storms up on him. The fans tell Ricochet he messed up, and Ricochet runs away into the ring. Davis pursues, Ricochet slips out the side, Bailey O’Conner Rolls Davis! TWO, Ricochet comes back but Bailey BOOTS him down! Bailey then goes up, up, but Davis grabs him in a waistlock! Bailey fights the grip, gets free, and he CHOPS!
The fans fire up but Davis just scowls. Bailey CHOPS again! Davis eggs Bailey on, so Bailey CHOPS again! The fans “WOO~” but Davis roars! Bailey kicks, Davis blocks, and then Davis CHOPS Bailey down! Cassidy is back, Davis CHOPS him down, too! The fans boo but Davis stalks Bailey to a corner. Davis stands Bailey up to CHOP LARIAT! Ricochet joins commentary at this moment just to say he’s not a dummy who’s gonna get beat up in that ring. He’s letting Davis do all the work! Davis drags Cassidy up, CHOP LARIATS him in a corner, then goes back to Davis. The ref tells Ricochet to get in the ring but Ricochet tells the ref to shut up.
Davis TOSSES Bailey, Ricochet says he knows when to pick his spots. Ricochet steps off commentary, the fans tell Callis off while Davis scoops and SLAMS Cassidy! Davis soaks up the heat, stands Bailey up and CHOKES him int he corner! Ricochet slithers in to cover Cassidy! Davis hears the count and drags Ricochet up! Davis TOSSES Ricochet up and out of the ring! But Bailey- Well, he tries to roll Davis up but Davis is sturdy. Cassidy runs up and CROSSBODIES, but Davis catches him! Davis swings and TOSSES Cassidy, then SENTONS onto Bailey! The fans fire up, Ricochet slithers in, but then he and Davis lock eyes.
Davis shouts and Ricochet slithers back out, “picking his spot.” Davis drags Cassidy up while the fans rally for “FRESHLY SQUEEZED!” Davis suplexes, but Cassidy gives him STUN DOG MILLIONAIRE! Either Cassidy holds on or Davis is blocking, but Bailey is up top either way! FLYING DOUBLE KNEES!! Davis takes the worst of that, and now Ricochet slithers back in! Bailey SUPERKICKS him first, though! Bailey runs and BOOTS Davis in the corner! Bailey pushes Davis down, goes up, and MISSLE DROPKICKS! Davis gets up, but Bailey SOBATS, AX KICKS, and KICKS Davis down! The fans fire up and Bailey runs, STANDING SHOOTING STAR!
Ricochet TOSSES Bailey out, aims at Davis, STANDING SHOOTING STAR! But now Cassidy TOSSES Ricochet out! Cassidy winds up, but he realizes he can’t pull off the Shooting Star so he just covers! ONE!! Davis survives, Cassidy argues the count, but Ricochet returns! Cassidy dodges, but then Ricochet dodges Bailey! Bailey dodges Cassidy, Ricochet CHOPS Cassidy! Bailey ROCKS Ricochet, Cassidy DECKS Bailey! Ricochet, Cassidy and Bailey all gather, but Davis roars! So he gets TRIPLE BOOTS! The fans fire up as Ricochet says the others can handle this. Cassidy and Bailey say nope! They whip Ricochet into Davis’ BOOT!
Davis then runs to CLOBBER Cassidy and Bailey at the same time! Ricochet comes back, but Davis CLOBBERS him, too! The fans boo Dunkzilla but he soaks up that heat while Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Davis drags Bailey up and around, reels him in, and suplexes high and hard! Bailey flounders away, Cassidy gets up, but Davis kicks him low. Davis suplexes high and hard again! Ricochet is up, he kicks first, but Davis still suplexes Ricochet! Davis hits a hattrick, but Bailey returns. Davis DECKS Bailey! Davis paces, then he CHOPS Bailey! Bailey fires a body shot, but Davis CHOPS him down! Davis fires up, and suplexes, but Bailey blocks! Bailey fires body shots, and he tries to suplex Davis?! Davis fights that, then he suplexes Bailey high and hard! Davis BLASTS Ricochet off the apron, then drags him back up. Davis suplexes Ricochet to THROW him!

Cassidy swings, Bailey dodges, and Bailey goes up to TRIANGLE JUMP MOONSAULT onto Davis and Ricochet! Bailey returns, he bumps Cassidy off buckles, then goes up. Cassidy goes up, btu Bailey hops back to GAMANGIRI! Bailey hops back in, hoists Cassidy up, and he POWER- NO, Cassidy RANAS through! Cover, TWO! SUPERKICK! Bailey knocks Cassidy down and covers, TWO! Davis turns around, Cassidy leaps for DEEP- NO, Davis catches Cassidy and SPINEBUSTERS! Davis roars, grabs Cassidy’s legs, close your eyes and COUNT TO PAIN!! Cover, BAILEY BREAKS IT!! The fans are thunderous again but now Davis drags Bailey up! But Bailey trips Davis, JACKKNIFE BRIDGE! TWO and Davis sunset flips! TWO, and Bailey PENALTY KICKS! Then STANDING MOONSAULT KNEE DROP!! Davis sputters, but Ricochet grabs Bailey! Bailey BOOTS Ricochet, dodges Davis, and BLINDSIDE HEEL KICKS! Bailey hooks the arms, slowly backslides, but Ricochet adds in with a high stack! Callis claims everyone cheated except Davis! The fans are confused, they want it to be Bailey’s win, but Ricochet did join the cover. The ref has everyone calm down and he sorts this out. He tells Callis to shut up and back off while he talks with Justin Roberts. The announcement comes in: As a result of a pinfall, challenging Kenny Omega for the title will be… “Speedball” Mike Bailey AND Ricochet!
Winners: “Speedball” Mike Bailey & Ricochet, by double pinfall (BOTH will challenge for the title)
The only one happy about this is The One & Only! Ricochet sneaks his way into the title match, but will he be able to pull off something like this in Philadelphia? Or will the title still belong to a Canadian in the end?
AEW TBS Championship: Mercedes Mone VS Billie Starkz!
The CEO is still #FourBeltsMone after her great battle with Momo Watanabe at Revolution. However, she hasn’t been taking the inaugural ROH Women’s Television Champion very seriously. But that doesn’t bother Billie, because Mone was never her role model. Will Billie once again make history? Or will she simply pay for messing with Mone?
The introductions are made, the teal belt is raised, and we see who is really star material!
The bell rings and Billie offers a handshake. The Code of Honor, if you will. Mone ROCKS Billie instead, then DROPKICKS her! The fans boo but Mone rains down fists! The ref counts as Billie is in the ropes, so Mone stops at 4. Mone smothers Billie’s face into the mat, then slaps Billie around! The fans are torn but the boos are strong. Mone drags Billie up, bumps her off buckles, and then digs her boot in at the corner. The fans boo and the ref reprimands, Mone stops at 4, and Mone snapmares to run and METEORA! Cover, TWO! Mone is annoyed but Billie is tougher than that. The fans duel while Billie sits up.
Mone talks trash but Billie fires forearms! Billie whips, Mone reverses, but Billie BOOTS her down! Mone runs back up, she blocks Billie’s boots and throws them aside, but Billie REBOUND ENZIGIRIS! Billie goes out and steps back in, TORNADO DDT! The fans fire up for Billie as she has a wild grin. Billie hurries to cover, TWO! The fans rally, Billie goes up a corner, but Mone bails out! The fans boo but Mone wags her finger. Billie hops down, builds speed, and she DIVES! Direct hit at the ramp and the fans fire up! Billie roars, goes back into the ring, and she goes up the corner! Billie aims and SUPER CANNONBALLS!
The fans fire up as Billie takes Mone down! The ref checks them both, but Billie stands up. Billie drags Mone up, puts her in the ring, then goes back up the corner. Billie aims again, SWANTON BOMB! Cover, TWO!! Mone survives and Billie grows frustrated. Mone clutches her side and crawls to a corner while Omaha rallies for Billie. Billie drags Mone up, Electric Chair Lifts, but Mone grabs the ropes! Billie pries Mone from them, but Mone CLAWS Billie’s eyes! Mone slips out the back to BACKSTABBER! Cover, TWO! Mone rains down fists, lets off to TOSS Billie out, and Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Mone snarls while fans cheer and jeer. Mone then calms down and smiles, and she does her dance while the ring count climbs. Billie sits up, pushes up off the mat, and springs in at 9! Mone is right on Billie with a scoop and SLAM! Cover, TWO! Billie toughs it out but Mone KNEES her int he side! Mone then pulls Billie into a Half Bow ‘n’ Arrow! Billie endures being bent back, and she reaches out for ropes. Billie then reaches back to drag Mone into a cover! TWO, and Mone CLOBBERS Billie! Mone is frustrated again, and she drags Billie back up, to ELBOW her in the shoulders again and again! Mone then clamps on a chinlock!
Billie endures, reaches out, but Mone squeeze tight. Billie fights around, fights to her feet, and JAWBREAKERS free! Then she rolls Mone up! TWO, and Mone DROPKICKS Billie down! Cover, TWO! Billie is still tougher than that, and Mone is upset. Mone drags Billie around, KNEES her in the back, then pulls on the arms. Billie endures the motorcycle stretch, fights to her feet, and she fires knees! Then she tilt-o-whirl RANAS Mone! Mone runs back in, Billie wrenches and WRINGS the arm out! Dynamite returns to single picture as Billie mule kicks, then scoops for a tuck and- NO, Mone turns things around, CIPHER UTAKI! Cover, TWO!!
The fans fire up as Billie survives, and Mone is beside herself! Mone paces, drags Billie to her feet, and hooks the arms. Gory Especial, but Billie fights and powers Mone back! Mone sends Billie into buckles! Mone fires forearms, the fans boo and the ref reprimands. Mone stops at 4, then hoists Billie up top. Mone climbs up after Billie, talks trash, and SLAPS Billie! Mone brings Billie to the top rope, and hits a SUPERPLEX! Roll through and another suplex, but Billie fights that! Billie suplexes for a GHOSTBUSTER! The fans fire up while both women are down! Billie and Mone crawl while the fans rally and duel.

With Revolution’s main event being more or less interrupted by quite a few others, namely Christian Cage and his Casino Gauntlet Contract cash-in, The Maniac stayed the champion, but nothing between him and the Rated R Superstar had been settled. Now they’re just throwing the rulebook out into the cold Nebraska night as they turn up the heat! Will Moxley still find a way to survive? Or will he have to cope with a devastating loss?
Moxley is only now entering the arena from the parking lot, BUT COPE IS THERE TO ATTACK! The fans fire up seeing this on the tron, and the bell rings now to get this all on record! Cope SMACKS Moxley off the semi-truck’s trailer, then SMACKS him off it again! Then Cope shoves Moxley into the back of the trailer, and they brawl around all these power tools, props and cases! Cope SMACKS Moxley off the side again, then finds one of Jeff Jarrett’s guitars! Cope SMACKS Moxley in the leg, then fires more forearms! Moxley staggers towards the exit, but Cope runs up to swing and DROPKICK Moxley into the garage door!
Moxley slumps down, Cope throws off his vest, and Cope drags Moxley back up. Cope and Moxley scrap, and now Moxley sends Cope into the garage door! Moxley grabs the briefcase and runs inside. Cope pursues, CLUBS Moxley along the hallway, and the ref has found them. Moxley uses the briefcase as a weapon to JAM and CLOBBER Cope! Moxley says Cope wanted a Street Fight in Omaha, so let’s go to Omaha! Cope hits back, he headlocks Moxley and brings him along. The brawling continues, Moxley gets his jacket off, but Cope claws at his head! Cope SMACKS Moxley off road cases, then brings him around a corner. They end up going through the curtain and to the crowd!
The fans fire up as the brawl brings these two around behind the timekeeper’s area, and Cope SMACKS Moxley off the table! Cope ROCKS Moxley, SMACKS him with a microphone, and the fans fire up more. Cope goes looking under the ring, and he brings out a trash can! Cope runs up to SMASH Moxley with the can! Moxley ends up by commentary, Cope storms over to bring him around. The fans rally for Cope as he snap suplexes Moxley to the floor! Moxley writhes and staggers away. Cope runs up to BOOT Moxley down! Moxley takes a seat, and Cope rains down forearms! Cope rains down fists, not having to hold back!
The fans fire up as Cope lets off to catch his breath, but Moxley gets him for a SLEEPER! Cope claws at the hold, but he is fading! Moxley then shifts to a neck wrench! Moxley is still targeting the neck, and he RAMS Cope into the LED barrier! Moxley then brings out a kendo stick! Moxley takes aim, taunts the fans, and then runs up to SMACK Cope on the back! And SMACKS him again! Moxley digs the point of the kendo stick into Cope’s neck! The fans boo, the ref checks with Cope, but Cope refuses to give up! Moxley stops, only to drag Cope back up. Moxley whips but Cope reverses, and Moxley hits railing!
Cope DUMPS Moxley over into the crowd, and then pursues again. The fans fire up as Cope storms up and CLOBBERS Moxley into the boards! The fans fire up as Cope CHUCKS a trash can at Moxley’s head! Moxley staggers away, Cope has a beer can and he SMACKS Moxley with it! Moxley is dazed as he leans on the barriers, and Cope fires forearms and CHOPS! The fans fire up being even closer to the action, but Moxley ROCKS Cope in return! Cope ROCKS Mox, Mox ROCKS Cope! Cope ROCKS Moxley again, but Moxley hits back again! They brawl their way along, forearm for forearm! The fans boo Moxley while he vows Cope is done!
Moxley comes back but Cope BOOTS him! Cope fires hands, Moxley tumbles over the barriers, and Cope pursues. Cope grabs the panel that covers the top of the LED board to SMACK Moxley on the back! Then SMACKS him again! But then Cope clears off the desk! The fans fire up, Cope stalks Moxley again, and Cope brings Moxley around to TOSS onto the desk! The fans are thunderous as Cope climbs up to join Mox! But Moxley CLAWS Cope’s eyes! And he BITES Cope’s face! Then underhooks and PARADIGM SHIFT on the desk!! Cope flops to the floor while Moxley dusts himself off. The ref checks Cope while Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Moxley stands up tall to soak up the heat. Moxley taunts the fans, then dumps water on Cope. Moxley paces around while Cope sputters and stirs. Moxley fetches the kendo stick, goes back to Cope, and Moxley waits on Cope to stand. Then he SMACKS Cope back down! Moxley CHOKES Cope with the kendo stick, drags him up and around, and he talks trash at the same time. Cope refuses to give up so Moxley shoves Cope down. Moxley flips off the fans, then waits on Cope. Cope stands, Mox runs in, but Cope sends him into the steel steps! Moxley falls in a heap, and Cope drags a TABLE out from under the ring!
Surely, Omaha is fired up again as Cope stands this table up at ringside. Moxley crawls away, has a chair, but Cope CLUBS him first! Cope whips, but Moxley reverses, and now Cope hits steel steps! Cope falls in a heap, Moxley grabs that chair and puts it in the ring. Moxley fetches Cope, puts him in the ring, and Dynamite returns to single picture. Moxley has the chair, takes aim, and he SMACKS Cope on the back! The fans boo while Cope writhes, and Moxley SMACKS him again! Moxley CHOKES Cope with the chair, having it sit on his neck! Moxley flips off the fans while they boo more, but Cope still refuses to give up.
Moxley lets off Cope and he tells the ref to back off. Moxley puts the chair around Cope’s neck! The fans boo as Moxley wants to do Cope like he did Bryan Danielson and Chuck Taylor! But then Moxley goes up the corner?! The fans boo, but Cope stands! Cope CHUCKS the chair at Moxley! Moxley teeters up top, Cope climbs up after him, and Cope CLAWS Moxley’s back! Cope brings Moxley up, to SUPER DUPER PLEX! Both men writhe, and Prince Nana is watching backstage. Swerve is still down and out after what Moxley did to him on Saturday, so Nana is keeping an eye on this match on Swerve’s behalf.
Moxley writhes but rises up, and so does Cope. The fans rally, Cope and Moxley trade forearms, and then Moxley eggs Cope on. They stand to fire more forearms, and Cope gives as good as he gets! Moxley kicks low, fires knees again and again, then runs, only for Cope to dodge and LARIAT! And LARIAT! And LARIAT again! The fans fire up as Cope then FLAPJACKS Moxley down! Moxley checks his face while the fans rally up. Cope goes out of the ring, and he looks under the ring. IT’S SPIKE! Cope brings his little friend into the ring, but Moxley hits a CUTTER! The fans boo but Moxley CHOKES Cope!
Moxley goes out, and he brings out a second TABLE! The fans are torn, they love tables but don’t like Moxley. Moxley puts this table in the ring, sets it up in a corner, but Cope gets Spike back! Cope SMACKS Moxley in the gut!! The fans go nuts, but then Cope SMACKS Moxley on the back! Cope puts Spike down, and suplexes Moxley onto Spike!! Moxley writhes as Spike sticks inside Moxley’s back!! So many nails are digging into flesh!! The fans are losing their minds and Moxley isn’t sure what to do about it! Moxley stands, Spike still digs into him, but WHEELER YUTA IS HERE! BUSAIKU KNEE on Cope!!
The fans boo but of course The Decoder defends Moxley! Now even Yuta is shocked to see Spike stuck in Moxley’s back! Yuta helps Moxley, but as he pulls on Spike, Moxley’s skin is stretched and torn up more! The ref gets Spike off of Moxley’s back while Yuta goes out after Cope. But Cope pops Yuta up to POWERBOMB him through the table!! That’s what Yuta gets! But CLAUDIO CASTAGNOLI IS BACK! And PAC! The Death Riders return to mug Cope and help Moxley! They put Cope in, we see Moxley’s bloody back, and Cope goes to a corner. Pac runs in for an ELBOW! Claudio runs in for an UPPERCUT!
Pac runs back in for an ELBOW! Claudio UPPERCUTS! They keep the cycle of violence going, then Claudio feeds Cope to a LARIAT! Pac takes the chair, puts it under Cope’s head, and Claudio grabs another chair. Claudio brings that chair over rather menacingly, but wait! FTR is here! Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood rejoin the fight against the Death Riders! Cash brawls with Claudio and TOSSES him while Dax has Pac! Then Cash DIVES to wipe Claudio out into the desk! Pac throat chops Dax, but Dax ducks a roundhouse to DDT Pac! Moxley is up to spin Dax around, but Dax kicks low! PILEDRIVER!!
The fans fire up as Dax then LARIATS Pac and himself up and out of the ring! Things are even now, and Cope seethes as he rises up. Moxley rises, Cope takes aim! SPEAR through the table!!! The fans are thunderous as both men wipe out through the wood! The fans love “A E DUB! A E DUB!” for giving them this insane match! Cope drags Moxley to a cover, BUT MARINA BREAKS IT! Marina Shafir is again a Problem, and she rains down forearms on Cope! But WILLOW NIGHTINGALE IS HERE! The Babe with the Power gets in there to fire hands on Marina! SHORT ARM LARIAT! Renee Paquette is with The Most Wanted, and brings up the horrible things Chris Jericho did at Revolution. How have he and his family been since then? Bandido says wrestling, lucha libre, it runs in his veins. And he knows the dangers, he can handle them. But what Chris Jericho did to his brother, Gravity, and how that was the first AEW show their mother and sister ever attended, it was humiliating! Jericho made Bandido’s mother cry in front of him, and Bandido will never forgive Jericho for that! So on Slam Dunk Sunday Night Collision, Bandido hopes Jericho shows up and acts like a man! Bring Gravity’s mask and give it back!
But Johnny TV steps in and somewhat sarcastically says wow, Bandido’s whole family was embarrassed and his mom cried on camera. WHO CARES?! Renee remarks that it is officially going to be Moxley VS Swerve at AEW Dynasty, then welcomes in The Cowboy. Hangman steps in, and Renee says that while she has a feeling she already knows the answer, she will still ask the question. “What are your thoughts on this match being official?” Hangman says he has said this a thousand times. He vows to never let Swerve Strickland hold the AEW World Championship again. Hangman is nothing if not a man of his word. But after beating MJF at Revolution, Hangman will not let his vision be solely focused on someone else. His focus will be on himself.
And while many people have been jumping the gun to enter The Owen, Hangman will join the party. Hangman will win the Owen Hart Foundation Cup to then go on, challenge for and become the NEW AEW World Champion. Even if it’s Swerve. The Cowboy joins The Aerial Assassin, what other dangerous names will put their names in the hat?

Who mentored her? Whoever did knows nothing about pro-wrestling. If Mone had trained Billie, Billie might’ve had a chance at beating Mone for the title. HAHAHA! But no, who’s she kidding? Billie still would not have won, because Mone is the greatest TBS Champion of all time!

The fans fire up, Toni is rather stunned, and Toni gives Kris credit for that. Kris puts Megan in the ring, climbs up a corner, and MISSILE DROPKICKS! Megan flounders away to a corner while the fans fire up. Ford coaches Megan, Toni says if Bayne is a “Megasus,” call her to the “Stormodo Dragon.” Same toxic tongue and dry skin. Kris runs in and LARIATS! Then Kris climbs up to rain down fists! The fans fire up and count all the way to TEN! Kris then pushes Megan out, leaps, but Megan catches her! Megan pops Kris up, but Kris slips free! Kris kicks low, runs, and basement DROPKICKS! Cover, ONE?!?
The fans rally as Kris storms up on Megan. Kris drags Megan up, Toni says Megan must be the Greek Goddess of Silence as she’s barely spoken a word. Kris stands Megan up to fire forearms, then whips corner to corner. Megan reverses but Kris goes up to FLYING BACK ELBOW! The fans fire up again and Kris puts Megan in a corner. Kris fires forearm after forearm, then runs side to side for a BOOT WASH! The fans fire up, Ford is upset, but Kris ROCKS Megan again. Kris runs corner to corner, but Megan BOOTS her! Megan clinches to CORNER EXPLODER! The fans rally but Megan drags Kris up again.
Megan RAMS into Kris again and again, then hoists her up top. Megan SLAPS Kris, climbs up, and Kris fires body shots. Toni says both ladies have such powerful thighs, surely they’ve crushed watermelons. Kris fires hands, ROCKS Megan, and Megan hops back. Megan runs in but Kris BOOTS her! Ford distracts, the fans boo, but Megan ROCKS Kris! Kris falls to the apron, the fans boo more, but Megan gets Kris up. DEADLIFT BACK SUPLEX! The fans boo but Megan rises up as Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Megan soaks up the heat from Omaha, then she looms over Kris. Megan drags Kris up, short arm LARIATS, then paces around. Kris goes to ropes, Megan storms up and stands Kris up for a CHOP! Megan has Kris in a corner and fires KNEE after KNEE! The ref reprimands and counts, Ford applauds, but Megan brings Kris out to HALF HATCH PLEX! Kris flounders away, but Megan storms up again. Megan looms over Kris, but Kris fires a body shot. Megan KNEES low in return! Kris staggers to a corner, Megan whips corner to corner, and then Megan runs in, only for Kris to dodge! Kris runs in and UPPERCUTS Megan!
Kris runs side to side and BOOT WASHES Megan again! Kris brings Megan out, but Megan breaks free! Kris ducks the lariat to BLUE THUNDER BOMB! Cover, TWO! Megan survives and Kris seethes. Kris drags Megan up, scoops her, but Megan slips free! Megan shoves Kris and DECKS her! Kris goes to a corner, Megan runs in and LARIATS! And KNEES! Megan whips, Kris reverses and ROCKS Megan! Kris runs, but Megan clinches! OVERHEAD BELLY2BELLY! Kris flounders to the apron, Ford cheers Megan on, and Megan drags Kris up. Kris fights the back suplex this time, and she drags Megan out to the apron!
Megan fights Kris’s suplex, so Kris APRON GOURD BUSTERS! Kris drags Megan up, brings her over, and they go up a corner! Dynamite returns to single picture as Kris brings Megan up, but Megan slips under to RUNNING POWERBOMB!! Megan then fireman’s carries! “BOW DOWN!” FATE’S- NO! Kris lands out and runs the ropes, SCISSOR KICK! Both women are down and the fans fire up! Toni says she’s on the edge of her seat, and she looks to be about that as we get a standing count. The fans rally, Kris stirs at 3 of 10, and she crawls her way over to Megan. Kris sits Megan up to SLAP her! Megan SLAPS back!
The fans fire up as Kris SLAPS again! Megan SLAPS Kris! Both women stand, the SLAPS keep going! The fans fire up behind Kris and boo Megan, and Kris fires a flurry of SLAPS! Then a PELE! Kris runs, but Ford trips her! The ref saw that, and EJECTS Ford! The fans fire up while Ford freaks out! Kris stands, but Megan runs in! Kris ducks the lariat and kips up! SUPERKICK! Megan BOOTS in return! Kris ROUNDHOUSES! Megan roars, but Kris gets under the boot to POWERBOMB! Kris hurries to scoop and MICHINOKU DRIVER! Cover, TWO!! Megan survives, Toni says she’s nervous, because just look at the power!
Megan and Kris stand, and Kris goes up a corner. Kris leaps, but into a GERMAN SUPLEX! But Kris is right up! And she GERMAN SUPLEXES Megan! But Megan’s right up to GERMAN SUPLEX Kris! Kris still stands, then dodges Megan to SNAP GERMAN! Megan is right up to LEAPING LARIAT! Kris tumbles out, the fans are thunderous, and Megan takes aim…!? “This is Awesome!” as Megan builds speed and DIVES! Direct hit at the ramp! Megan roars, drags Kris up and into the ring, and then hauls Kris up! Megan suplexes, for a FALCON ARROW! Cover, TWO!! Kris survives and Megan is a bit surprised.
Kris crawls away to the ropes, but Megan rises up again. Megan runs, but Kris DUMPS her to the apron! Kris has Megan in the ropes, DRAPING DDT! Megan tumbles out, Kris goes to the apron, CANNONBALL! Kris hauls Megan up, but Megan throws Kris into the apron! And then into Toni Storm! Megan wipes out Toni with Kris’s body and the fans boo! Megan then hauls Kris up, fireman’s carry, FATE’S DESCENT on the floor! Megan shoves Kris into the ring, and then tells Toni to watch this! Megan storms in after Kris, drags her up again, fireman’s carry! “BOW! DOWN!” FATE’S DESCENT!! Cover, Megan wins!!

The Megasus continues her dominant streak, but wait! Toni Storm is taping up her hands, ready to throw down! The fans fire up as the champ gets in the ring! Toni fires fists with Megan right away and the fans fire up! Security rushes out here but the fans boo! “Let Them Fight! Let Them Fight!” Megan breaks free of security to CLOBBER Toni! Toni staggers back up, and she shoves free to LARIAT Megan up and out! Megan lands on her feet, but security does their best to keep these two apart! Megan is beside herself, but Toni grabs a mic to say, “My gawd, you’re a big b*tch!” Fans cheer that!
“I’ve always said the bigger they are, the harder they come. So it’s about time you and I got tantric! You keep looking at my title, but you don’t have much to say. So I’m gonna make this very easy for you. You and I shall have a date at Dynasty! And I will make your thighs shake and your body quake, and I will leave with this strap on, for I am TIMELESS TONI STORM! And I will tear your tits off!!” The Megasus has the title match she wants, but will she get much more than she bargained for?
My Thoughts:
A great Dynamite that almost lost some matches given the blizzard that hit today. But it looks like we got everything they were hoping to get done tonight, especially in building up Dynasty. The Fatal 4 Way was an awesome opener, and what an incredibly clever way to give two guys that win to raise the stakes on Kenny Omega. I also feel like we should get Bailey VS Ricochet 1v1 just to see “who’s better” going into the Triple Threat, and maybe indicate some go-home math towards that match. I would think part of the Triple Threat nature is so that regardless of the result, all three men look strong, but I’m leaning towards Omega winning.
Mone VS Billie was a great match, a great showing for Billie’s return to cable TV, but this makes her 0-2 all time for the TBS Championship (she lost to Jade Cargill on a Battle of the Belts special). However, Mone’s promo talking trash on Billie’s mentor planted major seeds for Mone VS Athena in time for All In: Texas, as I’ve been hoping for. Good promo from The Outrunners, but it seems like they didn’t make it to Omaha, or else they’d be teaming with Hobbs for Collision, not Briscoe & Rocky. Though it’s not like there isn’t ground for Briscoe teaming with Hobbs when they were the ones that confronted the Murder Machines last week.
Good promo from Bandido to respond to Jericho and call him out, and Johnny TV wanting a match with him is interesting. I suppose Johnny can take a loss for Bandido to get some momentum back before having it out with Jericho one more time. Good promo from MJF to set up meeting with MVP next week. I can’t be sure which way he’s going to swerve us. Mentioning he needs back up to take on The Death Riders would make me think he accepts MVP’s offer, but referencing Adam Cole turning on him makes me think he won’t. It’d make the most sense if he accepted the help, because it’s means to an end.
Great match from Ospreay VS Fox, and a great win for Ospreay to keep his momentum up from Revolution. I do appreciate him selling the damage from Revolution to add some doubt into his story. Ospreay will surely make it to the finals of the Owen Hart Cup, but his odds of winning shifted the moment Hangman Page said he’d be in. Hangman was denied the Cup last year, he might make good on a second attempt, especially if Swerve wins at Dynasty. Moxley VS Cope being a Street Fight went about how I expected: The entrances turned into a brawl, that brawl went all over the place, and then there was major overbooking. As such, Moxley wins, honestly making him look weak for it, but I suppose most Heel champs do end up like that.
FTR being part of the save that didn’t help Cope win, that’s a clever way of adding to the frustrations of FTR that is also sending them down a Heel path. Granted, this moment in itself, with Dax being the most upset and not even wanting Cash to talk to him feels out of place. There should’ve been something like this even before the “frustrations” from facing Undisputed Kingdom showed up. Chalk it up to more of TK’s backwards booking like he’s done with Jericho feuds. But I don’t see FTR breaking up, Cash will just start to see things Dax’s way and FTR goes Heel again as they keep after the AEW World Tag Team Championships.
Very good matches made for Collision and the awkward two-parter it has to pull because of NCAA basketball. Hart VS Aminata is going to be really good, but Aminata’s feud with Deeb is still on standby, so I think Hart wins out. And great main event from Megan and Kris tonight, with Toni doing another excellent job on commentary. Great win for Megan, and great brawl from her and Toni before Toni makes it official. Toni is a master at innuendos in her promos. That title match is going to be awesome, but I would think Toni finds a way to retain. Megan is great, but it might be a bit too soon for her to be world champion.

The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we kick off the night with a title fight!
The bell rings, the two tie up, and Chelsea gets around to CLUB Sol! Chelsea wrenches the arm, YANKS it, YANKS it again, then has the wristlock. Sol cartwheels, fireman’s carries and hits the takeover! Sol has the arm, grinds it down, and Chelsea is losing her extensions already! Chelsea headscissors, then salutes! The fans cheer while Sol kicks and flails. Sol moves around, headstands, and she pops free to then get the arm! Chelsea stands up, whips, but Sol runs her over! Things speed up, Sol handsprings and taunts Chelsea. Sol then dodges and cartwheels through the hip toss to FACEBUSTER! Cover, ONE!
Sol clamps onto Chelsea with a hammerlock and grinds her down. Chelsea fights up, reaches back, but Sol whips Chelsea. Chelsea reverses to put Sol in the corner. Chelsea stomps away, Piper & Alba cheer her own, and Chelsea whips Sol corner to corner. The fans rally and sing for Sol but plenty still cheer Chelsea. Chelsea runs in, Sol catches her, but Chelsea still MONKEY FLIPS, only for Sol to handspring through! Chelsea runs up, Sol gets around and Sol picks Chelsea up for the SPIN OUT FACEBUSTER! Then Sol stands on Chelsea to hang ten! The fans are torn, Sol salutes, and then she steps off to SUPERKICK!
Chelsea flounders away, Sol runs up, but Chelsea puts her on the apron. Sol does the splits to duck, and she sweeps the legs! Alba storms up to the apron and distracts the ref, Piper grabs at Sol’s legs! Sol kicks Piper away, Zaria storms up on Alba, and Sol springboards. Chelsea moves out of the way, Sol handsprings through the landing, but Chelsea comes back to CHOP BLOCK! Chelsea grins as she is in control, and NXT goes picture in picture.
Zaria glares at Piper & Alba, but Chelsea SLAMS Sol’s leg off the mat. Chelsea puts the leg on the ropes, then pulls! The ref counts, Chelsea stops, and she drags Sol up. DRAGON SCREW! Sol clutches the knee, Chelsea pushes her down to cover, TWO! Sol crawls, Chelsea stalks her to ropes, and Chelsea kicks the leg out! Chelsea drags Sol up, puts her in the corner, and then puts the leg around ropes. Chelsea stands on the leg, but steps off at 4. Chelsea drags Sol out to hit a SHIN BREAKER! Cover, TWO! Sol stays in this, Piper tells her to stay down, and Chelsea puts Sol in the ropes. Chelsea CHOKES Sol, then DRAGON SCREWS again!
Chelsea has the leg and she DDTs the foot! Cover, TWO! Sol toughs it out but Chelsea stays focused. Chelsea drags Sol up, Sol fires body shots, but Chelsea CLUBS her down. Chelsea has the leg again and lifts for a SHIN- NO, Sol sunset flips through! TWO, and Chelsea runs up, only for Sol to get around! Sol stands as the fans duel, and Sol runs up at Chelsea in the corner. Chelsea dodges, blocks a kick, and puts the leg over her shoulder for a KNEE BREAKER! Chelsea holds onto the leg, but Sol still goes up the corner to BOOT Chelsea away! Chelsea comes back, but Sol MISSILE DROPKICKS! Even one good leg is enough for Sol to hit that! The fans rally and duel as Sol crawls to ropes. Chelsea runs up to ROCK Sol! Sol fires a body shot! Chelsea fires a forearm! The shots go back and forth, Sol kicks low, then Sol ROCKS Chelsea! And ROCKS her! And KICKS! And CLUBS! And CHOPS! Sol whips, then CLOBBERS Chelsea!
The fans fire up, Sol runs and springboard- NO, the bad leg gives out! Sol crashes down, Chelsea HAMMERS away on the leg, then covers, TWO! Sol stays in this and Chelsea is frustrated. Chelsea whips, Sol ducks ‘n’ dodges, and she springboards to FLYING FOREARM! She still didn’t get the air she’d like, but she hurries to run at Chelsea in the corner! Sol ELBOWS Chelsea, then carries Chelsea in a backpack. But again the leg gives out! Chelsea runs up now, and she hits a ROUGH RYDER! Cover, TWO!! Chelsea is shocked, the Secret Her-vice coaches her, and Chelsea goes up the corner. Chelsea salutes, but Sol ROCKS her first!
Sol THROWS Chelsea down, the fans rally again and Sol goes up the corner. Sol cartwheels on the ropes to DDT Chelsea down! Cover, Alba gives her the ropebreak! The fans boo, but Zaria SPEARS Alba! The fans fire up, but then Piper CLOBBERS Zaria! Sol goes to the apron, goes up the corner, and she QUEBRADAS Piper! The fans fire up as Sol watches her teammate’s back! Sol hurries back into the ring, but into a CODE BREAKER! And then the chicken wings, for the UN- NO, Sol sunset flips! TWO!!! Chelsea escapes, but Sol goes up! Chelsea CHOP BLOCKS the leg!! Chelsea drags Sol up, chicken wing, UNPRETTY HER!! Cover, Chelsea wins!

The Secret Her-vice did their job by protecting Chelsea’s “first term” as champion! But who else will “pledge allegiance” to the #RedWhite&Green?

Je’Von Evans checks in with him. He finally sees what Trick was talking about. Je’Von got the biggest win of his career over Ethan Page, only to get jumped by those four people! So, he understands now. Oh, he understands now? Hell yeah he understands now! They have jumped Je’Von, Oba, Fraxiom, all the tag teams! Bro, no one is safe, but this is their NXT! Trick says Je’Von still doesn’t get it. There is no “we,” no “ours,” none of that. Trick is getting back to Oba, and back to HIS NXT Championship. Je’Von says, okay, whatever. Trick says what, just cuz they both have dreads, they’re friends or something?
Je’Von ain’t Trick, ain’t ever gonna be Trick. And Je’Von ain’t champ, ain’t ever gonna be champ. Tighten up. Trick leaves, and in steps Lexis King. Je’Von has gotta see Trick’s point, right? Let’s face it, Je’Von will never be an NXT Champion like Trick was. Heck, he might never be Heritage Cup Champion like Lexis. But look on the bright side: At least Je’Von can eat solid foods again. Je’Von should be sucking food through a straw- Je’Von DECKS Lexis! The Young OG won’t let the Drama King talk trash, but what about how Trick talked down to him?

The Underboss gets Adrianna Rizzo & Luca Crusifino pumped up. Tonight, they get revenge on “The Culling” for everything they’ve done. What’s Rizz gonna do to Izzi? Break her face! That’s right! Tony D checks on them, asking if they’re ready. Oh, yeah, they’re ready, T. Good, good. But Stacks feels maybe Tony should stay in the back. Luca is upset by that suggestion, but Stacks says when they wreck The Culling, Spears will be desperate, and he’ll do anything to hold onto the NXT North American Championship. They need Tony at 100% for the rematch. Stacks is thinking two to three steps ahead, just like Tony taught him.
After all, Stacks learned from the best. Tony says hold on. Stacks wants Tony to wait in the back? Now he’s thinking like the Underboss! See, if the Underboss says it’s handled, then it’s handled. Tony is good if they’re good. Rizzo says yeah, they’re good. Luca says they know the game plan, so they’re ready. Tony wishes them luck, but will the D’Angelo Family be able to stop The Culling before they get started?

The fans cheer her on as she brings both belts to the ring, and Vaquer says, “I need to be honest. This is difficult for me, because English is not my first language.” Everyone chuckles, but they don’t mind. Vaquer says, “Wrestling is my first language, and this proved it!” The fans cheer that! Vaquer says she had the opportunity to go to any promotion, any brand. But she chose NXT because she wanted to make history. And she wanted to make it in the best women’s division on the planet!
The fans cheer, and Vaquer says last week in New York, against one of the best, Vaquer proved why she is La Primera. The fans cheer that, too! Vaquer smiles and says holding these two titles makes her the best of the best, La Mejor de Mejores! And now, Vaquer is ready for her first opponent, the woman who will step into this ring, look her in the eyes, and- WAIT! Here comes Jordynne Grace! The fans fire up for the Juggernaut and she already has a mic to say, “Stephanie, let me just start by saying congratulations. You truly are a trailblazer, and I cannot give you enough credit for that. But you’re not the only one who accomplished something last week.
“I beat Roxanne Perez, a woman who elevated one of those titles that you’re holding to a completely different level. That victory puts me first.” But JAIDA PARKER knocks Jordynne over! Miss Parker laughs and then talks trash. HIP-NOTIC against the barriers! Jaida grabs the mic and says, “Nah, Jordynne, it don’t work like that, baby. You ain’t first in line in anything around here. Because the lien starts behind Jaida Parker. And you notice me. I’m not waiting until Stand & Deliver to make my point. Because I’m taking my own shots. So Stephanie, congratulations, baby, I’m really proud of you. She did that, did she not? The fans do cheer that.

Hank survives but Briggs brings him up. Briggs tags Inamura, they double whip, but Hank grabs the ropes! Briggs & Inamura run up, Hank ELBOWS Inamura while Tank RAMS Briggs!
Tank tags in, Hank BOOTS Briggs out! Tank then goes up, up and FLYING SHOULDER TACKLES Inamura! Cover, TWO! The fans rally for Tank as he brings Inamura up. Tank whips Inamura hard to the corner, then runs up, but Inamura dodges! Tank hits buckles, Inamura CHOPS, ROCKS, and repeat! The fans rally, Hank runs up but Inamura CHOPS him! Yet it’s Ridge getting shafted, just like Eddy. And y’know what it is? Ricky is a “sports entertainer,” just like Trick Williams.
Well then, Ridge will deal with his “entertainer,” so Eddy should deal with his. Eddy says bet. These two thinking alike might be a worst case scenario for everyone else on the roster. Vaquer says being the best of the best women’s division, she- gets interrupted by Fallon Henley… The Toxic Cowgirl asks if Ava remembers her. Unfortunately, yes. Then when is her championship match? Ava says they talk about this almost every week, or even every day! And Fallon will keep bringing it up! She deserves her rematch! Vaquer tells Ava that she can give Fallon the rematch. Perfect! Hear that? And Fallon wants it next week.
Well, next week won’t work. As Ava just said, it is Vaquer VS Jaida. Uh, not Fallon’s problem. Vaquer wants to be double champion, right, La Primera? Vaquer says Fallon already knows Vaquer is La Primera? Oh, does she? Then Vaquer has no problem facing her after the match with Jaida. Vaquer says done. Fallon asks Ava if she heard that. Vaquer is giving Fallon her title match. Ava says fine, good, Fallon got what she wanted, now go. And don’t let the door hit her on the way out. Ava says two title matches next week is a big night for Vaquer. Vaquer nods, but will she make it through next week’s double header?

They got advice from one of the best tag teams in the world, and they still came up short. Tank isn’t sure what to do anymore. Hank says they just need more advice. They should talk to other teams more on the level. Wes Lee, Tyson Dupont & Tyriek Igwe walk in, and Wes says it doesn’t matter what information you get from whatever legendary tag team. If you ain’t got it, then you ain’t got it. Stick to what you’re good at. And by the looks of things, that’s eating contests.

These four storm back inside, who won’t be a target for them?
BREAKING NEWS for NXT next week!
Not only will Stephanie Vaquer bookend the night, opening with Jaida Parker for the NXT Women’s Championship and then main eventing with Fallon Henley for the NXT Women’s North American Championship, Je’Von Evans gets his own shot at gold! Or in this case, a trophy! Will Je’Von take the Heritage Cup away from Lexis King? Or will this still be the Drama King’s kingdom?
Backstage interview with Ricky Starks.
Kelly Kincaid congratulates The Absolute on his first singles win, and he thanks her for that. As they all know, it is Stand & Deliver season, so every win counts, every moment matters. And Ricky will deliver on every single promise that he stated when he first got here. That starts with him bringing an entirely new revolution to- The Culling interrupts. Izzi tells Kelly to leave, so Kelly does. Ricky says, “Oh. I guess the interview’s over now, huh? Thanks, guys. Lemme guess: Y’all don’t care about outsiders either?” Niko tells Ricky that his revolution is happening right before his eyes. What they just did to the D’Angelo Family-
Ricky stops Niko there. It took four guys to take out Tony. Izzi says Ricky has the confidence of a much, much larger man, and she’ll give him credit, Ricky’s charisma and star power is among the best in the world. But it just doesn’t seem like he measures up. Ricky tells Spears that he shouldn’t be laughing, and he tells Izzi that she needs to get her eyes checked. One thing about Ricky Saints is that he always measures up, in the right places. Ricky also gives Niko a quick look up and down. Izzi says sure, and Spears scoffs. The Culling heads out, but will The Chair Man have to accept he’s now a target with that gold on his shoulder?
NXT Underground: Trick Williams VS Eddy Thorpe!
It has gone back and forth between these two, the NXT Championship the underlining reason for the conflict. But things have gotten rather personal because of it, and this is the only way they can put it to rest! Who doesn’t so much win as survives when there are no ropes and nothing holding them back?
NXT returns and superstars surround the ring, including those from Evolve. Trick makes his entrance and the fans fire up as they chant, “WHOOP DAT TRICK!” The introductions are made for this big fight feel main event, and in the end, there can only be ONE King of the Underground!
The bell rings and the two circle. Eddy feels things out, as does Trick, but both men are wary of the other. They clinch, Trick headlocks, but Eddy hits a takedown! The fans and the superstars rally as Eddy and Trick scrap, then they roll off the ring and to the floor! Eddy stands Trick up to ROCK him, and everyone else has to get out of the way as Trick stumbles along. Eddy pursues, ROCKS Trick, then knees him low! Eddy has the Evolve stars move, then whips, but Trick reverses! Eddy crashes into steel steps! The fans fire up as the ref checks Eddy, but Eddy is still in this. Trick drags Eddy up and puts him back on the ring.
Tricky storms up, but he dodges Eddy’s lariat! Trick UPPERCUTS Eddy off the ring and onto the ground! The fans fire up for Trick, was that a knockout? Trick doesn’t let the ref check, he pays homage to Ilja Dragunov with the H-BOMB FOREARM, only for Eddy to move! Trick crashes on the floor with a thud! The fans rally up, the Evolve stars pound the apron, and Eddy puts Trick back on the ring. Eddy dodges the Trick Shot to BUSAIKU KNEE! Trick falls to the floor, the ref checks, but Trick is still in this. Eddy goes after Trick to then pay homage to Randy Orton! DESK BACK SUPLEX! Trick and the table collapse in a heap and the fans lose their minds!
The fans rally for “NXT! NXT!” as Eddy puts Trick back on the ring. Eddy storms up, drags Trick to his feet, but Trick wrenches out! Trick ROCKS Eddy with haymaker after haymaker! Then he UPPERCUTS again! Eddy staggers around, Trick scoops and SLAMS! And then scoops and SLAMS! Trick wants Eddy to get up, and then he clinches, but Eddy clamps onto an arm! Eddy drags Trick down into a TRIANGLE HOLD! No ropes means no ropebreaks as Trick flails! Trick deadlifts and POWERBOMBS Eddy! But Eddy holds on! Trick endures, flails, and fights up again! Another deadlift, for another POWERBOMB, onto the Evolve stars!
The fans are thunderous as Eddy wipes out quite a lot of those young up-and-comers! Eddy manages to get up from that heap of humanity, goes back tot he ring, and he dodges a kick! But not the TRICK SHOT!! Trick HAMMERS away on Eddy, the ref calls it! TRICK WINS!!
Winner: Trick Williams, by knockout
The Alpha Wolf thought he could take a bite out of this former NXT Champion, but he just got whooped! Trick grabs a mic, and he has them cut his music. “Eddy Thorpe, you better learn how to squabble. Now that we gettin’ ready for Stand & Deliver season… Oba! Bring your punk ass out here! Hold on. Make sure you got my title.” The fans are stunned, but The Ruler makes his way out here! The NXT Champion will not back down from being called out, and he throws his shirt off! Oba steps to Trick, both men let their hair down, but then the lights go out! IT’S THEM! DARK STATE IS IN THE BUILDING!
Je’Von rushes out here and he says this is what he’s talking about! Stand united or get taken out again! Trick SHOVES Je’Von down!? Does Trick not understand what’s going on?! Oba doesn’t seem to care, either, as he and Trick start throwing hands! Je’Von goes after Trick, too! Oba throws Je’Von aside, wanting Trick to himself, but now the other superstars hurry in to break this up! It is just as Dark State wants: CHAOS! CHAOS! CHAOS! As the stars of Evolve try and break this up, Oba and Trick throw them all off, to throw hands with each other again! Je’Von runs up, OG CUTTER on Oba! Je’Von then stares Trick down, wanting him to understand.
Dark State smiles, because their work here is done without them even having to go to ringside. But can The Young OG get his own role model, Trick Williams, to open both his eyes and his ears about what really matters here in NXT? Or will Je’Von just have to lead the charge himself?
My Thoughts:
A great NXT, some pretty wild action, and maybe just a few odd moves. A great opening match with Sol and Chelsea, but of course Piper & Alba are factors. Even with that, Chelsea shows good match strategy working over a leg. Legs are part of everyone’s wrestling style, but it is even more crucial to Sol’s because of her springboards. Chelsea gets a great win but Sol looks good all the same, I wonder if Zaria gets a shot of her own before Stand & Deliver. And very good stuff with Vaquer already setting up her first double header as double champion. Good promo from Vaquer herself, and Jaida attacking Grace as Grace was about to make her challenge was great.
But you have to know that if Jaida is having her match next week, she’s losing. She’ll have her best match ever, and she had a very good promo on her own later, but she’s gonna lose. But she shouldn’t feel too bad, Fallon is surely losing, too. Fallon is not going to just take that title back the moment Vaquer became double champion, but she might also have one of her best matches yet. Vaquer will surely battle Grace at Stand & Deliver for at least one of the titles, but it really depends on what the plans are for both titles. Vaquer could do another double header, she could do a double title match with Grace, or we could even get a Triple Threat in the same spirit as Becky VS Charlotte VS Ronda. After all, Vegas is all about raising the stakes.
The Women’s Division also had a good match from Karmen VS Jacy, but I didn’t think we’d get Adonis trying to Heel things up and costing Karmen like that. They made it past Valentine’s Day, who knows where this story goes from here. As for Fatal Influence, if Fallon doesn’t win the Women’s North American title, I wouldn’t mind seeing Fatal Influence working towards the tag titles. There can even be dysfunction over which two are going for them, where Jacy and Fallon end up putting Jazmyn in the middle, she can’t choose, and so it ends up Jacy and Fallon as the duo for some major dysfunction that just tears the group apart.
Hank ‘n’ Tank VS Briggs & Inamura was great because not only was it big meaty men slapping meat, it was big meaty men moving at high speeds like they were cruiserweights. Though that last dive from Hank was pretty wild, it is a good thing these two are probably ditching the Hardy style. Good promo from them and The Wes Side, and I would think we get Hank ‘n’ Tank VS Tyson & Tyriek. Someone who should be advising Hank ‘n’ Tank is Bubba Ray. Hank ‘n’ Tank are definitely more a Dudley Boyz kind of team, being big guys who can hit hard. Plus, I could see them wearing those Dudley glasses and making it work.
Good stuff in the D’Angelo Family story, with Tony trusting Stacks’ judgment call on the Mixed Six with “The Culling.” But then what irony in Dark State took Tony out anyway. Also as faction names go, The Culling and Dark State (Darkstate?) don’t really match either group. The Culling did have a promo to go with the context of that name, “reduction of a wild animal population by selective slaughter,” which is supposedly what they’re going to do with NXT by eliminating The D’Angelo Family and others. Dark State is a physics term but also a political one, but they’re definitely not using the first. But even then, Dion, Cutler, Osiris & Saquon don’t really fit this idea of a rogue movement within an organization or government.
Ricky VS Ridge was a really good match, certainly followed the classic formula of the Face fighting a bigger Heel, and it was a solid win for Ricky. The seeds were planted for Saints VS Spears for the North American Championship with that backstage promos, and that will be a great match. Je’Von is making big moves for being a young star, as he has a very good promo with Trick to bring up the issue Dark State is becoming. I’m not going to say this is NXT’s response to AEW’s Death Riders story, but the parallels are there. Just as Darby Allin wanted AEW to stay united against The Death Riders, Je’Von wants NXT to stay united against Dark State. We know Darby got thrown down stairs, we’ll have to wait and see where Je’Von VS Dark State goes.
Trick VS Eddy was a great Underground match, though maybe leaning more into the “sports entertainment” of Trick as Eddy flew away with that uppercut to sell for Trick. Trick winning and then challenging Oba made sense, and then it was great for Trick, Oba and Je’Von to brawl while Dark State watched from afar. Again, there’s parallels to AEW VS Death Riders, and who knows who Je’Von recruits to help fight Dark State, but we could get some really good stuff going forward.
