The Swiss Cyborg and the “Space Commander” had a bit of a confrontation on Wednesday Night Dynamite during the Mixed Six Tag, but this dates back to the Continental Classic and the Miracle on 34th Street! Komander cost Claudio his title opportunity then, will he do it again now? Or will nothing stop this Death Rider from going after Kenny Omega’s gold?
The bell rings and the fans rally as the two circle. Komander and Claudio tie up, and Claudio puts Komander on the ropes. The ref counts, the fans rally for Komander, but Claudio CHOPS! Claudio kicks low, UPPERCUTS and stomps away in the corner! The ref counts, the fans boo, but Claudio stops. Abrahantes coaches Komander but Claudio CHOPS! Komander goes to a corner, he shoves Claudio but Claudio CHOPS again! Komander CHOPS! And fires body shots! And repeat! Komander backs Claudio down, headlocks, but Claudio powers out. Claudio RAMS Komander, then THROWS him down!
The fans boo but Claudio just scowls. Claudio grabs at Komander but Komander lifts and leaps to tilt-o-whirl RANA! The fans fire up and Komander ENZIGIRIS! Claudio goes to a corner, Komander goes to the other end! Komander tightrope walks, ARABIAN PRESS HOTSHOT! Claudio staggers, Komander springboards, FLYING- NO, Claudio turns rana into GIANT SWING! The fans count along, Claudio TOSSES Komander at seven! The fans boo, they wanted a longer swing, but Claudio kicks Komander to the outside. Claudio soaks up heat from El Paso as he SMACKS Komander off barriers! And then CHOPS him!
Komander staggers away but Claudio is right on him for a CHOP! Claudio whips Komander into the riling, refreshes the ring count, and storms back up on Komander. The fans chant “SI SE PUEDES!” and Komander fires CHOP after CHOP! Komander kicks but Claudio KNEES low! Claudio hits a BARRIER BACK SUPLEX! Komander flops down. Claudio taunts him, and he drags Komander up and into the ring. Claudio stalks Komander to a corner, the fans rally up, and Claudio whips corner to corner. Komander goes up and out, then KICKS Claudio to ROCK him! Komander springboards to stand on Claudio, then he springboards again for a FLYING ARM-DRAG!
The fans are thunderous as things speed up! Tilt-o-whirl RANA and Claudio tumbles out! Komander DIVES! Direct hit on Claudio and the fans fire up again! Komander hurries back inside, the fans get even hotter, and Komander climbs a corner! Tightrope walk, but Claudio is in! Komander leaps, but into a BACKBREAKER! BACKBREAKER! BACKBREAKER! Cover, TWO!! Or as El Paso reminds us, “DOS! DOS! DOS!” Claudio digs his knee into Komander’s back while putting on the HALF CRAB! Komander endures, the fans taunt Claudio, and Komander fights around. Claudio stomps him down, then reels him in.
Claudio lifts, but Komander slips free to hit a FACEBUSTER! The fans fire up as Komander goes up! Tightrope walk, CIELITO- NO, Claudio moves! Komander lands on his feet, runs up, but Claudio RAMS him! And fireman’s carries to the apron! Claudio goes up the corner and the fans get worried. Claudio says this will end it! But Komander shifts to SUPER DUPER STEINER!! Cover, TWO!! Claudio survives and Komander can’t believe it! The fans rally and Komander climbs up the corner! But Claudio runs up, so Komander jumps down, springboards, SUNSET FLIP POWERBOMB! Cover, TWO!! Claudio survives again but Komander won’t stop!
The fans rally, Komander aims, and he runs corner to corner to go up, up, and PHOENIX- UPPERCUT!! Claudio reels Komander in, GOTCH NEUTRALIZER!! Cover, Claudio wins!

Komander tried to fly higher and higher, but he only came crashing down to Earth! Will Claudio follow in Moxley’s footsteps and become a champion?

Prince Nana talked with Swerve Strickland about the Ospreay and Hangman situation, and Renee Paquette walks over to ask them about that. Can he work with Ospreay and Hangman to finally bring down the Death Riders? Swerve says he is going to clear up this misconception. He owned up to what he did, he said he deserved what happened. But that doesn’t make them friends or a team, and they never will be. But then Ospreay barges in and says he has his own question: Who is the bigger threat to AEW? The Death Riders? Or Hangman Page? The only time Swerve was beefing with Hangman was because they both wanted the same opportunities. Tell Ospreay he’s lying.
Swerve had the world title! He did it! He became AEW’s first Black world champion! And he wore that title with pride! But is Swerve happy that Moxley’s stuck it in some briefcase? Because Ospreay isn’t. Ospreay says that belt should be around the best wrestler in the world right now, and right now that is Hangman! Swerve says, “No, it’s not.” Swerve has beat Hangman twice. But did Swerve beat Moxley? Has Ospreay beat Swerve? Swerve says the truth hurts, don’t it? But this team Ospreay is trying to put together to go against the Death Riders, Swerve just did that at Double or Nothing, Anarchy in the Arena, Swerve is done with that.
Swerve says Ospreay is delusional, but Ospreay won’t let Swerve leave because he’s not done talking. Swerve shoves Ospreay, so Ospreay hits back! They brawl right in the parking lot! Swerve sends Ospreay into railing, Ospreay comes back for ore! Ospreay says they are on the same team, whether Swerve likes it or not! Will Swerve, Ospreay, Hangman, and the rest of the roster put their personal history aside to finally and truly save the soul of AEW?
Six Man Tag: Roppongi Vice & Konosuke Takeshita w/ The Don Callis Family VS Roderick Strong, Kyle O’Reilly & Tomohiro Ishii!
After the confrontation during the TNT Championship match, Paragon battles RPG Vice, but with some added names to the mix! RPG Vice brings in NEVER Openweight Champion, Konosuke Takeshita, while Roddy & Kyle conglomerate with NJPW Strong Openweight Champion, Tomohiro Ishii! Could this Six Man Tag open some doors to more golden opportunities?
The Don Callis Family doesn’t wait for anything, they just go after Ishii & Paragon! The fans boo but Konosuke THROWS Ishii into railing! RPG Vice beat up on Paragon, and they throw Roddy out so they can mug Kyle! The fans boo more but Rocky slides to do his soccer celebration. Trent then PLANCHAS, but Kyle KNEES him outta the air! Rocky DIVES on Kyle, but Roddy give shim a BARRIER BACKBREAKER! Roddy CHOPS Trent, Ishii CHOPS Trent, repeat! They make Trent sit down, they CHOP away more, then Roddy KNEES Konosuke! He and Ishii add The Alpha to this, and Kyle is on the apron! DOUBLE MISSILE DROPKICK!
The fans fire up, Callis is upset, but Roddy puts Trent in the ring. This is finally a match and Roddy CHOPS Trent! Tag to Kyle, BACKBREAKER AND KNEE DROP COMBO! Kyle clamps onto Trent, he tags Ishii, and they mug Trent. Ishii CHOPS Rocky, the fans cheer, and Ishii CHOPS again! Ishii talks trash on Konosuke, then he bumps Rocky off buckles. Tag to Roddy, Roddy CLUBS Rocky but Rocky fires body shots and KICKS! Tag to Trent and now RPG Vice double whip Roddy. Trent runs up but Roddy dodges the splash! Roddy picks Rocky up to RAM him into Trent, then he hits a BACKBREAKER on Rocky! But Konosuke jumps in and BOOTS Roddy!
The ref reprimand but Konosuke throws hands on Roddy. The refbacks Konosuke off, but that lets Callis get a cheap shot! The fans boo that jackal, but Trent CHOPS Roddy in the corner. Roddy CHOPS back, but Konosuke fires hands! The fans boo as Trent CLAWS Roddy’s face, and Collision goes picture in picture.
The ref reprimands so Trent lets go, but Rocky BITES Roddy’s forehead! Roddy fights back, CHOPS Trent, then he runs, but into a fireman’s carry and DEATH VALLEY DRIVER! Cover, TWO! Trent is frustrated but Roddy kicks at him. Trent stomps Roddy, tags Rocky, and Rocky KNEES Roddy to a corner. Rocky CHOPS, CHOPS, and CHOPS! Roddy CHOPS, CHOPS, and CHOPS! Rocky TACKLES Roddy, tags Konosuke, and they split the wishbone! Konosuke clamps onto Roddy with a HALF CRAB! Roddy endures, reaches out, and fights his way to the ROPEBREAK! Konosuke lets go and tags Trent.
Trent stalks Roddy, CHOKES him on the ropes, but lets off as the ref counts. Roddy gets up to CHOP! And kick low! But Trent keeps him cornered! Trent ROCKS Roddy, then he tags Konosuke. They stomp away on Roddy, dig their boots in, then step off as the ref counts. Konosuke drags Roddy up, snapmares him into a chinlock, and he grinds Roddy down. Konosuke shifts to a COBRA CLUTCH, but Roddy still endures. Collision returns to single picture, fights up, and he fires body shots.
Konosuke CLAWS Roddy’s eyes, whips him, and scoops, but Roddy slips free! ANGLE SLAM! Both men are down and the fans fire up! A standing count starts, but we get hot tags to Kyle and Trent! Kyle BOOTS Trent, KICKS Trent, then KICKS again! Rocky is in, Kyle BOOTS and fires off more strikes! SWEEP THE LEGS! The fans fire up while Rocky bails out. Kyle runs and ROCKS Trent, then wrenches to an ELBOW BREAKER! Kyle whips, Trent reverses but Kyle slips up and under to KNEE and GERMAN SUPLEX! AX & SMASH! Cover, Konosuke breaks it with a deadlift! Kyle fights free with elbows, but Konosuke ROCKS him in return!
Konosuke runs, Kyle KNEES him at the ropes! Konosuke falls out, Rocky runs in, but Kyle DUMPS Rocky! Kyle tags Ishii so he can FLYING KNEE Rocky down! Ishii stalks Trent, brings him up, but Trent fires a forearm! No effect! Trent fires another, and another, but Ishii DECKS Trent! Konosuke tags in, and the fans fire up as these two DOUBLE LARIAT! And DOUBLE LARIAT! Konosuke BOOTS Ishii, GERMAN SUPLEXES, and then Rocky BLASTS Paragon! Trent sends Rocky in but Ishii puts him on the apron. Trent runs up, ENZIGIRI LARIAT COMBO! Konosuke climbs while Rocky holds Ishii in place. But Paragon TOSS RPG Vice! Roddy ROCKS and CHOPS Konosuke, fireman’s carries him, and gives him a GUT BUSTER DROP! Kyle KICKS, Ishii SLIDING LARIATS! Cover, TWO!! Konosuke survives but Ishii roars! Ishii reels Konosuke in, Konosuke wrenches out, but Ishii ROCKS him first! Ishii reels Konosuke back in, but Konosuke suplexes! Konosuke ROCKS Ishii! Ishii HEADBUTTS Konosuke! Konosuke ALPHA ELBOWS again! Ishii RISING UPPERCUTS! The fans fire up with Ishii and he suplexes, but Konosuke knees free! Konosuke shoves Ishii into the ref! Callis laughs as Konosuke then KNEES Ishii down! Konosuke winds up, but Ishii slips around! Konosuke switches, Ishii switches, but Rocky LOW BLOWS Ishii!! From one title opportunity to another, The Rainmaker moves on through the roster after successfully retaining at Double or Nothing. But now, the Pride of Professional Wrestling steps up to the plate! Will this be a homerun for the 5 Tool Player? Or will it take more than just Bowens’ combination of power, athleticism, intelligence, the look, and The It Factor to earn a golden ticket?
The bell rings and the fans cheer already as Bowens and Okada circle. They tie up, are in a deadlock, but Okada’s height gives him the leverage to put Bowens on ropes. The ref counts, Okada lets off, and he fakes the chop to pat Bowens on the shoulder. The fans applaud and Bowens does admit that’s clever. The two reset, circle, and tie up. Bowens digs his heels in and now he pushes Okada back with that power! The ref counts again, and Bowens fakes the chop to throw up the scissors. The fans are torn but Okada shoves Bowens. Bowens shoves back! Bowens wants Okada to wrestle, but Okada kicks low.
Okada headlocks, Bowens powers up and out, then Bowens drops down. Okada ducks ‘n’ whips Bowens but Bowens hurdles! Bowens mule kicks, front kicks, runs and FAMOUSERS! The fans fire up and Bowens stalks Okada. Okada rises, Bowens fireman’s carries, USHIGOROSHI! Cover, TWO! Okada knows that move from his old friend, Goto. Bowens has the fans singing, “Oh~ Scissor Me, Bowens~!” Bowens CHOPS, whips, but Okada ducks ‘n’ dodges and slides out! Okada wants a breather, but Bowens says nope. Bowens fires forearms, but Okada ROCKS him in return! Okada whips corner to corner, runs in, and ELBOWS Bowens! Bowens staggers and falls, and Okada pushes him to a cover. TWO, but Okada stays calm as he clamps on with a chinlock. Bowens endures as Collision goes to break.
Collision returns as Okada brings Bowens up to scoop and SLAM! Okada goes to the corner, climbs up, and MACHO ELBOWS! The fans fire up as Okada winds it up, and we get the Rainmaker MIDDLE FINGER! Okada shoves it in Bowens’ face, but Bowens uses his scissor fingers to grab Okada’s! Bowens rises up, and he CHOPS! CHOPS! CHOPS! Okada blocks the superkick, ripcord, but Bowens ducks the lariat! STRAITJACKET NECKBREAKER! Cover, TWO! Okada stays in this but Bowens drags him to a drop zone. The fans rally as Bowens climbs up, but Okada ROCKS Bowens first! Bowens kicks low, HAMMERS and CLUBS away on Okada, then CLUBS him down! The fans fire up with Bowens, he goes to a corner and runs up, but Okada ducks the lariat! Backstage interview with Daniel Garcia & Matt Menard.
Lexy Nair is with Red Death & Daddy Magic, and asks after that tough loss to FTR at Double or Nothing, what is next for Garcia? Garcia says a tough loss is an understatement. That was one of the hardest tag matches- Menard cuts Danny off there. Menard wants Garcia to think. Garcia has been moving around this whole week. Garcia wants others to fight his battles for him, but what did he think was gonna happen? Is that the first match he’s ever lost? Does Garcia think it’ll be the last? Don Callis interrupts Menard’s rant to ask, “Is this your version of an inspirational speech?” Then he asks Garcia, “What’re you doing with this guy?”
Garcia says Menard is his mentor. Oh, wow, [Censored] Magic is his mentor? Callis says Garcia is a Lamborghini. If you need to tune the Lamborghini up, you don’t take it to someone who’s never been under the hood, you take it to the number one mechanic, and that’s Don Callis. Garcia should join the family, instead of listening to this. Menard says let’s ask Kenny Omega or Will Ospreay how good of a “mentor” Callis is, huh? Garcia says he is sick of old men telling him how to do his career. Garcia tells Callis to get his “boiled hot dog looking ass” out of his face. Archer gets heated, but Callis has him stand down.
Callis says Garcia is right about one thing: he is an old man; a RICH, SUCCESSFUL old man! But the Family wants volunteers, not hostages. He is just asking Garcia to do something he hasn’t been doing for awhile, and that is think. Callis leaves Garcia to think on this offer, will the answer still be no?
Tony Schiavone is in the ring.
Collision returns and Schiavone welcomes us back, and he also says this has been a great crowd in El Paso. The fans cheer, and Schiavone says the fans all around the world, please welcome out… FTR. The fans boo now as Cash Wheeler, Dax Harwood & Stokely Hathaway make their way out to the ring. Their win at Double or Nothing has made them THE winningest tag team in AEW history, and Nigel on commentary says he learned just how good they are. He just hopes FTR holds up their end of the agreement to just leave commentary alone. Stokely still rudely takes the mic from Schiavone, and he excuses Schiavone back to the desk.
Stokely says, “Sunday at Double or Nothing, FTR proved once again that they are the greatest tag team alive today.” The fans boo, but Stokely says FTR proved they are indeed Living Legend Killers, and more importantly, they proved they are right about Nigel McGuinness. Behind that commentary desk is where he belongs! They give Nigel an A for effort but a D for execution. But Stokely moves on from that. They are in El Paso, Texas! That Mexican border is just a hop, skip and a jump away. And FTR, out of the goodness of their hearts, because they are good guys, have issued an open challenge to any tag team south of the border!
Stokely has the full terms of that contract right here! He hands it to Cash to hold for him, and Stokely reads it. “Andale, andale, mami, eya eya OOOOH~! What’s poppin’ tonight?” But wait! Atlantis Jr. is here! The fans fire up as he and Templario of CMLL make their way to the ring! The luchadores are ready to go right here and now, but FTR has them back up. Cash says they respect both men so much. They are big fan of Atlantis’ father, a huge legend in lucha libre! But what everyone might know is that FTR are living lucha legends themselves. See, they had gold down in how you say, “Mehico,” and well…
They’ve been “Seven Star FTR’ for a little too long. Maybe they become Eight Stars? Maybe they go to CMLL and add that gold? These two can be a nice little warm-up for that! Dax says hold on, hold on. Does this mic work? Dax claims it isn’t good enough for him, so he gets a new mic. Dax says there is no issue here. He is Dax, nice to meet you. That’s Cash, that’s Big Stoke, but the fans say they’re really “CULERO~! CULERO~!” Dax says hold on, hold on. FTR are really big stars in the USA. Everywhere they go, people recognize them. Maybe now that AEW and CMLL have their joint show on June 18th, Arena Mexico, Dax needs to get to know them.
So the first question is, FTR is big in USA, but how does it feel being recognized by your countrymen? Dax pulls the usual interrupting shtick, because he says the “Mighty Morphing Power Ranger” masks keep people from knowing who they are! The next question is, in Arena Mexico, Grand Slam, HUGE conglomeration between their companies, what would their dream match be? Because Dax is pretty sure that has to be with a big star team, like FTR! Unfortunately, Tony Khan has bigger plans than that for FTR, so they can’t wrestle Atlantis y Templario. But again. big fan of Atlantis Sr, the OG. He’s had great matches as a FIVE-TIME CMLL World Tag Team Champoin.
And even still today, Atlantis Sr, at 62 years old, is still wrestling! Impressive! Can Dax send a message to him? Please tell your dad, “Keep your old ass at home and not mess with FTR.” The fans boo but Atlantis Jr. takes the mic! Atlantis says his dad isn’t here to defend himself, but Atlantis Jr. is! If FTR wants to say something, then just say it, PERRO! FTR wants the CMLL guys to calm down, they don’t want trouble. This is all about AEW and CMLL teaming up. The fans still let FTR have it, but then FTR sucker punch the luchadores! The fans boo as they get Templario up! But Atlantis GAMANGIRIS Cash off the corner!
Atlantis climbs, Templario gets free, CROSSBODY onto Dax! Templario uses Atlantis as a step to launch and DROPKICK Cash! The fans fire up as Atlantis runs, get a boost, and he DOUBLE DROPKICKS FTR! The fans fire up and then Templario FOSBURY FLOPS out onto the #TopGuys! Atlantis tells FTR, you do NOT disrespect his familia! These two are the stars of lucha, so see you very soon, because they are gonna kick your ass!! The fans fire up for that one! When and where will the second generation sensation and the Lion Warrior show FTR what lucha is all about?

The Fighting Gravure Idol may have fallen short at Double or Nothing, but she won’t stop until she’s on top! Will AEW be all about #MinaNow? Or will the Chicago Skye rain on Mina’s parade?
The bell rings and the two circle. They tie up, go around, and then break. The fans rally as Mina and Skye reset, tie up, and Skye waistlocks to trip Mina! It was the AEW All Elite Experience in El Paso that Platinum Max tried to teach fans his chant: Let’s Go, Max! You’re the Best Wrestler Alive! Some picked up on it, but it seemed like most didn’t care. Caster says that’s right! They love him! Now, anyone who wants pictures is welcome, but he needs them to sign his petition to make AEW recognize him as THE Best Wrestler Alive. Is that okay with everyone? The fans seem okay with that, and they sign up. Caster has the fans line up, then he runs for it! He just wanted the signatures! Will someone, anyone, ever humble him?

LFI is finally at full power as Rush, Dralistico y Beast Mortos team together again, ready to take over AEW once and for all. But will these bulls stampede all the way to the top? Or will the big money trio prove they’re worthy of the gold?

AEW International Championship Fatal 4 Way Qualifier: Mascara Dorada VS Hechicero!
Brody King qualified on Wednesday, and Claudio qualified earlier tonight. One represents the USA, the other represents Switzerland, and Kenny Omega represents Canada as the champion. Mexico will have a contender, but will it be the Second King of the Ropes or the Alchemist of Lucha that joins the Fyter Fest Fatal 4?
The bell rings and the two circle. Dorada offers a handshake, Hechi reaches out, and he tentatively takes it. The two circle, then Hechi slides to dazzle with his magic. The two knuckle lock, Hechi wrenches and wrangles Dorada fast. Dorada fights up, wrenches back, but Hechi spins and slips through to break free. The fans cheer, and the two reset. They knuckle lock, Dorada rolls to get a leg in a toehold, then he ties the legs up for a modified deathlock. Hechi powers up to push through, and he hits a KNEE JAMMER! Dorada grabs at Hechi but Hechi shoves him down. Hechi CHOPS Dorada, but Dorada KICKS and KICKS!
Hechi blocks a kick to TWIST the foot, then he hits a spinning toehold! Dorada still CHOPS, KICKS, but Hechi shifts to a headlock. Dorada slips out to hammerlock, facelock, then fireman’s carry takeover. Dorada clamps on headscissors, then pulls on the arms! Hechi rolls back, O’Conner Roll into a wheelbarrow, but Dorada arm-drags free! Dorada kips up and the fans cheer the standoff! Dorada and Hechi tie up, Hechi waistlocks then shoves Dorada to ropes. Hchi then runs past, but Dorada ducks a lariat. Dorada hurdles, only for Hechi to catch him in a FLAPJACK! Hechi clamps onto legs, CHOPS Dorada on the back, and he has the arms!
The fans cheer as Hechi pulls Dorada into the ROMERO SPECIAL! Dorada endures, fights to get his arms free, and he stands on Hechi’s legs! Dorada turns things around on Hechi to have the legs, then the arms! Up, up, and away into the ROMERO SPECIAL! The fans cheer, but now Hechi fights free! Hechi rolls Dorada to pull him around by an arm. A bit of a stumble but Hechi still whips Dorada, blows past, and then slides out! Dorada runs to slide out, but Hechi slides in! Hechi toys with Dorada, Dorada slides in, and then Dorada and Hechi continue their cat ‘n’ mouse. Dorada fakes a springboard and Hechi slides out!
Dorada runs up to the corner to FLYING RANA! The fans fire up and Dorada puts Hechi back in. Dorada climbs as the fans rally, and Dorada uses the corner so he can DOUBLE JUMP FLYING RANA! The fans fire up as things keep moving, and Hechi HEADSCISSOR LEG DROPS!! Dorada staggers up, Hehich runs up and KNEES him in the corner! Dorada flops down, the fans rally up, and Hechi fires up! Hechi brings Dorada up, whips him to a corner, and LARIATS as Collision goes picture in picture.
Hechi LARIATS again, and again, and then JABS! JABS! JABS! Dorada drops but Hechi DECKS him all the same! Dorada flops out of the ring, Hechi pursues, and Hechi brings Dorada around to RAM into steel steps! Dorada hobbles and falls but the fans rally up for Hechi. Hechi drags Dorada up, fireman’s carries, and hits SNAKE EYES off the apron! Hechi puts Dorada in the ring, brings him around, and pulls at the mask?! The ref reprimands and Hechi stops to chicken wing Dorada’s arm. Hechi keeps pulling at the mask’s strings, but the ref reprimands. The fans boo and give thumbs down, so Hechi stops.
Hechi drags Dorada up, pump handles, and hits a BIG suplex! Cover, TWO! Dorada stays in this and Hechi is annoyed. Hechi kicks Dorada around, brings him up, and puts him in a corner to CHOP! The fans rally up while Hechi and Dorada stir. Dorada goes to a corner, runs in at Hechi, but Hechi puts him up top! Dorada backflips away but Hechi DISCUSÂ SHOULDERS him down! Hechi knuckle locks, Dorada lifts but Hechi uses that to rock back and YANK Dorada up to a torture rack! But Dorada tilt-o-whirls through to RANA! Somersault and CODE RED!! Cover, TWO!! The fans fire up as Hechi survives!
Hechi crawls to the ropes, Dorada aims and builds speed. Hechi avoids the boot to CHOP, and DRAPING DRAGON SCREW! Dorada keeps the leg trapped, and he stands on it to STOMP it down! Dorada writhes but Hechi climbs, FLYING ELBOW! Cover, TWO!! Dorada survives and the fans fire up again! Hechi huffs ‘n’ puffs and he watches Dorada. Hechi wants the mask, but Dorada CHOPS! Dorada fires up, but Hechi CHOPS in return! Dorada rebounds to CHOP! Hechi nods and JABS! JABS! JABS! Then CHOPS! Hechi runs, but into a scoop and LUMBAR CHECK! And there you have it! The Golden Mask 2 is now part of a golden opportunity! Will Dorada take the title from Kenny? Will it be Brody or Claudio instead? Or will the Best Bout Machine find a way to still be champion?
My Thoughts:
A great episode of Collision, even with it being prerecorded and then further delayed because of NBA Playoffs. A lot of last minute build to Fyter Fest, and I don’t even mean the qualifiers. Both qualifiers were awesome, and while I figured Claudio would win against Komander, I’m pleasantly surprised Mascara Dorada beat Hechicero in a great main event. That’s now technically three Faces and one Heel for the Fatal 4 Way, and just for the sake of story, I would hope the Death Riders don’t get more gold. They need to stay desperate about holding onto THE AEW World Championship while the proverbial walls are closing in.
Speaking of which, great promo from Mark Briscoe to call out Moxley, and they are going to have a great match, even with no title stakes on the line. And also a very good promo from Swerve with Ospreay to add their own tensions to this team-up story. Swerve doesn’t want to work with Hangman, he wants Ospreay to back off, but Ospreay is the one speaking sense again. Ospreay, Hangman and Swerve are the big 3 in terms of Faces, and then, whenever Darby Allin returns, that is quite the fearsome four to take on the Death Riders.
But the “last minute” stuff is the other tag matches they made for that HUGE four hour show. Mina of course beat Skye Blue, and I should’ve figured Julia would show up. Good save from Toni, and they’ll have a good tag match that I would think Toni & Mina win. Unless Mone gets involved, because she will be there on commentary. Great Six Man Tag of LFI VS Fox & Top Flight, and a very good win for LFI. Speedball & Komander making the save was good stuff, and I appreciate Kevin Knight will be joining in since he’ll be back from Japan by Wednesday.
Gates of Agony of course win their match, and I do feel they need another chance back to the tag titles. FTR had a very good promo with Atlantis y Templario, and that tag match could be a show stealer. It really should also lead into something bigger for Grand Slam: Mexico. FTR did mention they want tag titles, and the CMLL World Tag Team Champions are Los Nuevos Ingobernables, aka the NEW Ungovernables, Angel de Oro y Niebla Roja. I wonder if they’ll interact with LFI at all…
Great Six Man Tag of Don Callis Family VS Ishii & Paragon, but I figured the Family would win. Konosuke pinning Ishii really should lead to Konosuke challenging for the NJPW Strong title at either the next NJPW event in America, or even through AEW. Good promo from Garcia with Menard and Callis. Menard is being a bit harsh on Garcia, but I would hope Garcia doesn’t join up with the Callis Family. I’m just not sure how well Garcia fairs in a feud against them when his backup is sadly just Daddy Magic while the Callis Family has the most members it has ever had.
Hilarious promo from Caster where he is really trying hard with this Best Wrestler Alive thing, but in a new direction. I’m sure he’ll try getting fellow wrestlers to sign that, only to get beat up like with his Open Challenge. And an awesome match from Okada VS Bowens, even with it just being an Eliminator. Okada still wins as there might still be pans of Okada VS Omega, Winner Takes All, but Okada’s gotta have someone at least challenge him along the way. If nothing else, test the waters of what a 20 minute draw does for the eliminator and give someone a shot at the Continental Championship for the FOUR HOUR “Summer Blockbuster” on June 11th.

Blood & Guts 2025 was the most brutal one yet, and yet the most brutal faction in AEW lost! The Bastard, The Decoder & The Red Death want to take out their anger, but will they be standing tall after this Collision? Or will The Franchise Player, #AllGenresAdam & The Dynamite Kid just add insult to injury?
Garcia gets into it with Matt Menard during the entrance, and then Garcia SLAPS the headset off of Daddy Magic! The fans cheer Menard on as he throws hands with Garcia! Nigel & Schiavone do their best to stay back, Pac & Yuta tell Garcia to leave Menard alone, they’ve got the match to worry about. Garcia stops, Lethal’s team makes their entrance, will they make Garcia pay for bullying Menard?
Jon Moxley, of all people, takes Menard’s seat at commentary while the teams sort out. But then they don’t and the Death Riders rush Team Lethal! Priest LARIATS Garcia and puts him in a corner while Lethal & Tommy brawl with Yuta & Pac! Then Priest LARIATS in a corner, Lethal adds a LARIAT of his own, then they feed Garcia to Tommy’s BACKDROP! Priest keeps on Garcia in a corner and rains down fists! The fans count but Garcia shoves Priest away at 7. Priest DROPKICKS Garcia, Pac tags in, and Priest arm-drags! Tag to Lethal, they mug Pac, and then Lethal whips. Pac ducks to waistlock, Lethal switches to shove, hip toss, and handspring DROPKICK!
Moxley’s headset finally works, and he sarcastically says, “Oh my gosh, what an unfortunate situation that was.” Lethal covers, ONE, but Lethal drags Pac back up. Pac KNEES low, tags Yuta, but Lethal arm-drags Yuta! The fans cheer Lethal as he drags Yuta over, tag to Tommy. They double whip Yuta, Garcia tags in, Yuta still takes DOUBLE ELBOWS! Garcia CLOBBERS Tommy and soaks up the heat as fans boo. Garcia reels Tommy in, but Tommy snap suplexes first! The fans cheer and Tommy tags Priest. They hit a BIG double back suplex, then Priest covers, ONE! Meanwhile, Moxley dares to say Menard is the one bringing negativity into the work place!
Garcia goes to ropes, Priest brings him up and UPPERCUTS him down! Priest has Garcia in a corner, CHOPS him, and the fans “WOO~!” Priest snap suplexes Garcia, covers, TWO! Priest tags Tommy, Garcia tries to fight back but Tommy stomps him. Tommy ROCKS Garcia, HEADBUTTS Garcia, and tags Priest back in. They double whip Garcia, DOUBLE SHOULDER TACKLE, and they high-five. But Yuta CLOBBERS Priest! Tommy JUMP KNEES Yuta! Garcia rushes Priest, shoves him, then redirects to runt he ropes again and again. The fans cheer as they keep going, then Garcia drops down. Garcia baits Tommy in for Yuta to DUMP out to the floor!
The fans boo but Yuta argues with the ref. Garcia goes to the corner, Pac tags in, and Pac stalks Tommy around the way. Pac SMACKS Tommy off the apron, and Collision goes picture in picture.
Pac brings Tommy around and whips him hard into railing! Pac then drags Tommy up, brings him over, and snap suplexes him to the floor! Pac digs his heel into Tommy’s neck, but stops as the ref reprimands. Pac puts Tommy back in the ring, stomps him, then paces around him. Tommy reaches out but Pac wrenches his arm. Tag to Yuta, they mug Tommy, then Yuta SENTONS! Cover, TWO! Tommy toughs it out but Yuta just clamps on with a clinch. Tommy fires body shots and forearms! But Yuta picks a leg and trips him! Tag to Garcia, he stomps away on Tommy! Garcia soaks up more heat from Erie before he drags Tommy over.
Garcia tags Pac, they both stomp away, but stop as the ref reprimands. Pac soaks up heat, flips off Lethal, then goes back to Tommy. Pac CLAWS Tommy’s eyes, stops as the ref reprimands, then paces around again. Pac soaks up more heat and Collision returns to single picture. Pac CLUBS Tommy down, taunts Lethal, and drags Tommy up. The fans rally as Tommy fights back, but Pac CLUBS him down. Pac stomps Tommy, digs his boots in, then argues with the ref. That lets Yuta & Garcia get cheap shots in! The fans boo but the Death Riders get away with it again. Pac stomps Tommy again, digs his heel in, and Moxley says this is a bad night for Tommy.
Tag to Yuta and Yuta drags Tommy up. The fans rally for Tommy but Yuta reels him in. Tommy fights the suplex, Yuta fires body shots, then Yuta BITES Tommy’s forehead! The ref counts, Yuta stops, and he tags Garcia. Garcia tags Pac, and The Death Riders set up, but Lethal grabs at Yuta’s hair! The ref reprimands, there’s a lot of scrapping between The Death Riders and Team Lethal, but they still send Yuta in for an ELBOW on Tommy! Garcia LARIATS! Pac UPPERCUTS! And repeat! The fans boo as the cycle keeps going, but Moxley says this is about endurance and intensity! Pac then scoops Tommy, for a TOMBSTONE! Cover, but Lethal & Priest break it!
The fans cheer, the brawl is on, and Yuta & Garcia TOSS Lethal & Priest! Pac tags Yuta, Yuta puts Tommy on the top rope, and Yuta climbs up. Yuta is on the very top, but Tommy fights back! Tommy fires HEADBUTT after HEADBUTT and Yuta falls! The fans fire up as Tommy adjusts, MISSILE DROPKICK! Both men are down, Moxley admits that was thunderous, and the fans are thunderous themselves. But Garcia BLASTS Lethal & Priest! The fans boo but Tommy whips Garcia away! Then he CROSSBODIES Garcia and himself to the outside! A rough landing either way and the fans rally up.
Yuta crawls, Tommy stirs, Priest coaches Tommy up, and Marina shouts for Garcia to get up, too. Hot tags to Pac and Lethal! Lethal rallies on the Death Riders! DRAGON SCREW for Pac! DRAGON SCREW for Yuta! And then a takedown on Pac! But Pac boots him away! So Lethal trips Yuta! Yuta boots Lethal away, Lethal ENZIGIRIS Pac! And clinches Yuta, LETHAL COMBINATION! The fans fire up as Lethal trips Pac again! Lethal steps through, FIGURE FOUR! Moxley does not like seeing this! Garcia CHOKES Lethal! The fans boo but Priest storms in and fires hands! Garcia whips, Priest reverses and Garcia tumbles out!
Pac ROCKS Priest, Lethal SUPERKICKS Pac! Lethal handsprings, but Pac sends Priest in the way! LETHAL INJECTION on Priest!! Roll-up on Lethal, TWO!! Lethal and Pac roll, they fight for control, BRUTALIZER!! Lethal endures, but he QUITS! Death Riders win!
Winners: PAC, Wheeler Yuta & Daniel Garcia, by submission
Moxley says, “And that’s how it’s done.” The Death Riders rebound from Blood & Guts, but Pac grabs a mic to talk. “Oi, oi, oi…! From what I’ve heard, Darby Allin, he isn’t here tonight. And I can’t say I’m surprised. Y’see, what I did to Darby Allin at Blood & Guts, it was bloody beautiful. It was the best thing that I’ve ever done! Y’see, I’ve achieved a lot in professional wrestling, but standing and watching him burn… Well, I consider that my magnum opus! My piece la resistance! A masterpiece nonetheless. And no doubt, if Darby is still alive, he’ll want some form of petty revenge. Well, hey! Darby! I’ll be honest with ya: that’s no skin off my ball sack, ya little freak!
“Y’see, you wanna piece of me? No problem! Me and you, mano y mano, any time, any where! And where better than one week from tonight, live on PPV from New Jersey, AEW Full Gear? Y’see, Darby, you get a chance at retribution. But I get a chance to prove to the entire world, live on PPV, that a punk like you doesn’t belong int he same conversation, never mind the same league, as a competitor like ME!” The fans boo, but Pac tells Darby, “Have a little think about it, and let me know, wontcha? I’ll be waiting.” The Bastard has thrown out the challenge, but will- or rather, can Darby Allin accept?
Backstage interview with Kyle Fletcher & Mark Davis.
Lexy Nair is with Aussie Open as she brings up the big week for the Don Callis Family. Tonight, Mark Davis takes on Mark Briscoe while Kyle defends the TNT Championship against Scorpio Sky. If successful, we will get Fletcher VS Briscoe 6 at Full Gear. Fletcher is already annoyed, because he is sick of talking about Briscoe! Briscoe has been a thorn in The Family’s side for far too long. At Full Gear, Fletcher puts Briscoe in his place for good. But tonight, Briscoe has to deal with this man! Davis tells “Chicken Man Briscoe” that he won’t even make it to Full Gear, because after Davis wins tonight, chicken is for dinner! RARARARAR!
Fletcher says goodness. Good for Davis, but on Fletcher’s menu is Scorpio Sky. Fletcher tells Scorpio that he is very impressive, undefeated since returning, and a former two-time TNT Champion. But with the roll Fletcher is on, it stops for NOBODY. Get ready to say his full name. Will The Protostar & Dunkzilla dominate on behalf of the Callis Family? Or can a lot change in just one night?
Backstage interview with Toni Storm & Mina Shirakawa.
Collision returns as Lexy is now with the Timeless Love Bombs. Lexy notes that no one left Blood & Guts unscathed. Mina is clearly not cleared to compete tonight, and- Toni takes the mic to stop Lexy so that she can say, “Five women made me watch a mugging, a massacre, a murder. Now you can do what you like to me, Toni Storm lives and dies every damn day. But when you touch the woman I love… A woman who brings color to a world that is black ‘n’ white… Then you gain admission to a film, a cinema verité, that stars five sh*t-ass slop tarts and two horror show whores with a lust for vengeance who will love bomb the crap out of you!
“And since it’s your turn to watch, we promise to look good when we do it. Any time, any place. The show must go on. Don’t ask God for mercy, He’s a big fan of our work.” The femme fatale has spoken, but when and where will she and the Fighting Gravure Idol get their hands on Megan, Marina, and the rest?
Mark Briscoe VS Mark Davis!
The Sussex County Chicken almost didn’t make it into Blood & Guts after a backstage ambush from the Don Callis Family, but he showed he can #ManUp and even win at less than 100%! But will Briscoe need to fight like Hell all over again? Or will Dunkzilla make him easy pickings for The Protostar?
Well, Briscoe doesn’t even wait for Davis to get in the ring, he intercepts Davis at the ramp! The fans fire up as the brawl is on! Moxley is still on commentary and he likes this already. Davis ROCKS Briscoe, CHOPS Briscoe, then whips Briscoe into railing! Briscoe writhes, but Davis whips him into more railing! Davis snarls and stalks Briscoe, puts him in the ring, and the bell sounds! Briscoe DECKS Davis off the apron, then he WRECKS Davis with a dropkick! Then BLOCKBUSTER to the floor! The fans fire up with Briscoe, he fires hands on Davis, but Davis pushes him away. Briscoe comes back to DROPKICK!
The fans chant, “Let’s Go, Mark!” and Briscoe goes to the apron. BANG BANG, FOLEY- NO, Davis FOREARMS Briscoe outta the sky! Then he APRON BACK SUPLEXES! Briscoe flops down, Davis drags him up and around, then he TOSSES Briscoe at the railing! Briscoe lands in a heap, the fans boo, but Davis drags Briscoe back up. Davis puts Briscoe in the ring, then stalks him to a corner. Davis CHOKES Briscoe, stops as the ref counts, and then Davis CHOPS! And CHOPS! The fans rally, Davis whips corner to corner, but “This Mark Sucks!” Briscoe goes up and over, then he ROCKS Davis! And UPPERCUTS!
The fans fire up for Briscoe as he climbs, but Davis ROCKS him! Davis climbs up, throws hands, but the fans boo. Davis still goes to TEN, then he stands on the very top. SUPER DUPER PLEX! Cover, TWO! Briscoe toughs it out but Davis grits his teeth. Davis looms over Briscoe, the fans rally up, and Collision goes picture in picture.
Davis drags Briscoe up, scoops and SLAMS, then SENTONS! Briscoe sputters but Davis KICKS Briscoe in the back! And again, and again! Davis paces while Briscoe crawls to a corner. Davis storms up to dig his boot in, the ref counts and Davis stops at 4. Davis mocks Briscoe, then drags him up. Davis suplexes to THROW Briscoe away! Briscoe flounders to the far corner but Davis storms up again. Briscoe CHOPS, CHOPS, and CHOPS! Bur Davis scoops to SLAM again! Davis paces, then he stomps Briscoe. Davis stalks Briscoe to the ropes, CHOKES him, then stops as the ref counts. Davis TOSSES Briscoe out and soaks up heat.
Briscoe sputters against commentary, staggers towards railing, then collapses while Collision goes to break.
Collision returns as Davis has Briscoe in a COBRA TWIST! The fans rally as Briscoe fights free, but Davis is too hefty to hip toss! Davis then LARIATS Briscoe down! Davis says it’s done now! The fans boo but Davis drags Briscoe around. Davis wrenches Briscoe to CHOP him down! Davis stands Briscoe up, just to CHOP him back down! And then again! But Briscoe stays standing this time! Davis CHOPS again, but Briscoe fires up! The fans fire up, Davis CHOPS again, but Briscoe is just feeing off it! Briscoe then CHOPS, CHOPS, and CHOPS! The CHOPS keep going, the fans “WOO~,” and things speed up!
Briscoe ducks ‘n’ dodges and RAMS Davis! Davis rebounds, Briscoe ducks ‘n’ dodges again to FLYING FOREARM! Both Marks are down but the fans fire up! Briscoe is at the ropes, Davis stands at center, and Davis CHOPS! Briscoe CHOPS! And repeat! The CHOPS go back and forth! Briscoe fires as flurry of forearms, then more CHOPS! Briscoe runs, but Davis CLOBBERS him at the ropes! Davis runs, but Briscoe returns the favor! Then Briscoe feints Davis, waistlocks, but Davis fights free. Davis waistlocks, but Briscoe breaks free to PELE! Briscoe then reels Davis in, hooks a leg, but Davis suplexes! Briscoe makes it a cradle, TWO!
Briscoe ducks the enzigiri, BOOTS Davis, then hits the FISHERMAN BUSTER! The fans fire up and Briscoe goes to the corner! Briscoe climbs while Davis is down, FROGGY-BOWÂ onto knees! Davis turns things around, then runs to LARIAT!! Cover, TWO!! Briscoe survives and the fans fire up! Davis roars, and he reels Briscoe in for a STUFF PILEDRIVER! Briscoe flounders out of the ring! The fans rally as Briscoe ends up taking a seat. Davis runs up, ELBOW against the barriers! The fans boo but Davis puts Briscoe back in. Davis then chucks the chair into the ring, brings another one in, but Briscoe BOOTS Davis down!
Briscoe hurries to set up the one chair, and he uses it to FLY! Down goes Davis! The fans fire up and Briscoe high-fives the front row! Briscoe puts Davis in, then climbs up, FROGGY- NO, Briscoe rolls through as Davis moves. Briscoe comes back, btu Davis pops him up to CROTCH him on the ropes! Davis then climbs up to have Briscoe, but Briscoe slips free! Briscoe trips Davis and Davis lands on his down under! Briscoe goes back up again, for the FROGGY-BOW!! Cover, Briscoe wins!

Third time is the charm, and now Chicken is red hot going towards Full Gear! But will Briscoe be able to take the TNT Championship, no matter who he’s facing? Or will The Don Callis Family be the winners in the end?

Christopher Daniels focuses himself before telling Scorpio Sky, “Ever since you decided to start this team of Sky Flight, we have led these guys to some great victories. We are on a roll in the world of professional wrestling, but I think it’s time for you to become a little bit selfish, get some glory for yourself, and regain that gold.” Scorpio says, “It’s been 1228 days since I lost the TNT Title. And not one of ’em has gone by where I haven’t thought about getting it back. The last few years have not been easy for me, but none of it compares to what stands in front of me tonight.
“Kyle Fletcher, you are every bit as good as you think you are. But I’ve got the experience to know that what sticks with you in this business aren’t the victories, it’s the night that should’ve been victories but weren’t. Defeat comes for us all, Kyle. And tonight, yours comes from The Sky.” Scorpio snaps his fingers and we go to break. Will The Closer strike out the Protostar and completely change Full Gear?
Josh Alexander is beating up Michael Nakazawa?!
The Walking Weapon is sending a message to Kenny Omega through the last friend standing! He asks if this all sounds familiar! Kenny’s best friends and loved ones kicking and screaming! Just like Kota Ibushi! This is fun for Alexander! HE is an instrument of destruction for the Don Callis Family! So what do you think he’ll do for a million dollars at Full Gear? And the only thing that’s gonna be eerie is how ugly they’re gonna be after we rearrange their face!” The fans boo but Mansoor says time to find out who they’re beating tonight! Arkady Aura says it is a singles match, and she introduces… Tay Melo! Will the Blackbelt Brazilian Beauty beat some humility into Mrs. TV?
Taya Valkyrie w/ MXM TV VS Tay Melo!
The bell rings, Taya mocks the hip shaking, but then Tay BOOTS Taya down! The fans fire up as Tay fires off forearms on Taya in the corner, but Taya shoves her away. Taya ROCKS Tay, but Tay CHOPS in return! Tay whips corner to corner, but Taya dodges! Tay ELBOWS Taya, Taya ROCKS Tay! Taya blocks boots, puts Tay in the ropes, ROUNDHOUSE and SLIDING GERMAN! MXM TV cheers on their leading lady, Moxley says Taya has aura, and Taya drags Tay out. Taya & Johnny kiss, then Taya whips. But Tay reverses to send Taya into steps! Tay dares the boys to try something, they say this should go back in the ring!
Tay goes in, to then climb up! The fans fire up as Tay SUPER CANNONBALLS! Down go Johnny and Mansoor! Mason saved Taya, but then Tay BOOTS him! And KNEES Taya! Tay puts Taya in the ring, storms up on her, and Gory Especial for the TAY K O!! Cover, Tay wins!

MXM TV is reeling, but Tay promises she and Anna Jay will be tag team champions. But MARINA SHAFIR ATTACKS! The fans boo but The Problem THROWS Tay down, then wraps her up in MOTHER’S MILK!! Tay flails, but TONI STORM rushes out here! She BLASTS Taya just because, then she SHOTGUNS Marina! Toni reels Marina in, STORM ZERO!! The fans are all fired up as Toni gets just a taste of revenge! Moxley says he didn’t see that coming. But will anyone stop Toni & Mina from having their fill?
AEW TNT Championship: Kyle Fletcher VS Scorpio Sky!
As it stands, Fletcher and Briscoe will compete for this title at Full Gear, with the added stipulation that Briscoe losing means he’d join the Don Callis Family. Can The Closer not only take the title but throw a wrench into those plans? Or will the Aussie Arrow stay on target from here to New Jersey?
The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see who is truly the greatest Face of TNT ever!

While The CEO will battle the Galaxy’s Greatest at Full Gear for THE AEW Women’s World Championship, they lead veritable armies into battle here in Greensboro! Team Mone won advantage on Collision, but will that help them survive the steel cage? Or can the Timeless Love Bombs, the Babes of Wrath and the Southampton Slugger help Kris derail the money train?
The cage is locked into place, and Skye Blue starts against Willow Nightingale. Skye has a kendo stick wrapped in barbed wire while Willow has a trash can lid with a smiley face on it! The bell rings on the opening five minute round and the fans fire up already. Willow and Skye stare down from across the way, and fans chant “Blood and Guts! Blood and Guts!” Willow puts her hair up, and the two rush into No Man’s- Er, rather, No Woman’s Land to fight it out! The fans fire up as each one SMACKS away at the other, then they drop their weapons to go hand to hand! The fans fire up for the brawl, then Willow LARIATS!
Skye flounders into the second ring and Willow pursues. Willow smacks Skye off buckles, then smacks her off more buckles. Willow HAMMERS away on Skye, brings her around by the pigtails, and THRASHES her! Willow then SWINGS Skye around! Willow stomps Skye down, then she throws her to the apron. On top of that, the Powerhouse threw Hangman off the stage and down through tables! Now to settle that score, these two can, and likely will, fight all over the arena! But will Hobbs end up earning his own golden ticket to the AEW World Championship? Or will he just make sure it’s that much easier for Samoa Joe in New Jersey?
The bell rings and the fans rally for “Cowboy S*it! Cowboy S*it!” Hobbs starts by ripping a buckle pad away. Hangman says bet and rips one of the pads away in return! The fans fire up and the haymakers fly! The fans fire up for “MEAT! MEAT! MEAT!” Hobbs KNEES Hangman in those bad ribs, then whips, but Hangman ducks ‘n’ dodges to fire off more haymakers! Hangman whips, Hobbs reverses, and Hobbs scoops to pop Hangman up! But Hangman slips free! Hobbs avoids hitting bare buckle, Hangman runs up, but now Hangman has to stop short of the bare buckle! Hobbs pushes Hangman but Hangman pushes against the ropes!

The Greensboro First Horizon Coliseum is perhaps the greatest pro-wrestling venue in the entire world, and he thanks all the fans for being here over the years. So many great events he has witnessed for many man years, this would not be complete without one of the men who made this such a great venue, and who made wrestling on TBS so great. Schiavone says in April of 1978, he was here as a fan when Steamboat and Paul Jones become World Tag Team Champions. Steamboat and Dusty Rhodes were even tag team champions in 1991 right here on TBS. This, ladies and gentlemen, is quite the honor. Steamboat says big shoutout to TBS, responsible for airing all this so everyone can have their moment. Shoutout to that board over there: Mount Rushmore of Greensboro – Flair, Steamboat, Dusty and Sting! The fans cheer that! Well, Steamboat and Flair faced off in what was Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling in the Carolinas. Steamboat was just 16 months into this business, and Flair went to Jim Crockett talking about him. Flair said he liked what he saw and wanted to do something with Steamboat. Well- Wait, FTR is interrupting?! The fans boo as Dax Harwood, Cash Wheeler & Stokely Hathaway mockingly applaud. Steamboat says he knows those guys. Dax & Cash step into the ring, shakes Steamboat’s hand, and Steamboat says hold on, a quick mention. A few years back, they worked together, and Steamboat saw a bit back then what’s come to fruition today.
Steamboat sees them climbing the ladder, making it up. Stoke says he can’t believe he is standing in the ring with a legend! Now, Ricky, you know FTR, the greatest tag team alive today. The fans boo, Stoke says he’s just trying to introduce himself! Stoke gives his introductions, #BigStoke, and no he is not Denzel Washington. But Ricky, you are synonymous with pro-wrestling. The fans tell Stoke to STFU and Steamboat kinda teases Stoke on his height. Stoke says Steamboat has a lot of history in this building. But ironically, next Saturday, November 22nd, live on PPV, Newark, New Jersey, FTR makes history by becoming THREE-TIME AEW World Tag Team Champions!
Stoke says it’d be an honor to have his favorite pro-wrestler front row and there live. Does Steamboat know Macho Man’s number? Haven’t seen Savage on TikTok. The fans boo that offensive joke and Cash takes the mic. Cash asks Ricky to calm down, Stoke can be “feisty” sometimes. But Ricky knows the respect FTR holds for him. In fact, for those who don’t know, it was back in 2022 that FTR was handpicked by Ricky to be in his last ever match! Yes, handpicked by The Dragon himself! Because not only does Ricky know they’re living legends, but modern day miracle workers! If anybody is gonna make Ricky look like even a shell of his former self, it’s FTR!
The fans boo more as the backhanded compliments continue. Dax takes a mic to say hold on now, hold on. Ricky, Dax has learned so much from you. Not sure if it’s common knowledge, but 13 years ago, Ricky was Dax’s trainer. He took Dax under his wing, it was such a blessing. Dax learned so much. He learned… Uh, Ricky taught him… Hmm, hold on. Damn, now that Dax thinks about it, Ricky never said one intelligent thing in his entire life. Oh, oh, wait! There is one thing! And the one thing Ricky did teach Dax is perhaps the biggest piece of advice Dax ever got: “Kid, it doesn’t matter how much you make, make sure you save your money.” And in 2025, that has never been more evidence. If Ricky had taken his own advance, he wouldn’t need to be here tonight! The fans boo, but Dax continues by saying, “Who would’ve thought at 2012, we’d be standing in the ring on TBS live? And when you were teaching me, who would’ve thought that I would’ve been a bigger legend than you ever were?” The fans boo more, Ricky tries not to get mad, but then he gets in Dax’s face!
The fans cheer but Dax dares Ricky to do something, old man! Ricky shoves Dax! Stoke says watch it, Ricky! Ricky then says time out, time out. Dax backs off, Cash tells Ricky to leave FTR’s ring. Greensboro cheers Ricky on, Dax tells Ricky to leave, but Ricky says hold on. Ricky grabs the mic again to say, “Going back a few years, I’d tell both of you to kiss my ass.” The fans cheer that! “But… Sometimes, discretion is the better part of valor. Sometimes, when you realize that I’m gonna be 73… I’m not asking or begging for any kind of sorrow or forgiveness, but I’m just gonna be the smarter man today.”
Ricky does step aside, Dax sarcastically says to give it up for The Dragon, and then FTR mugs Ricky anyway! The fans boo and they reel Ricky in! But then Brodido is here! The fans cheer as Brody King & Bandido fire hands with FTR! Bandido has Cash, Brody has Dax, and Brody RIPS Dax’s shirt off to CHOP! Then Brody CHOPS Cash! Bandido SUPERKICKS Cash, Brody ROCKS Cash, and Cash ends up on the ropes! Bandido deals the cards, BLACKJACK 21 for Cash! Brody adds a LARIAT to send Cash up and out! Dax staggers to his feet, Ricky DECKS him! And DECKS him! And SHOTEIS! Ricky’s still got the hands!
Brody scoops Dax, but Stokely YANKS Dax to safety! The fans boo but Brody & Bandido DROPKICK FTR back down! FTR is in retreat while Brodido stands tall with Ricky! Will FTR regret picking on another legend? Or will they find a way to take those tag titles for a third time?

The war Jon Moxley has waged on the heart and soul of AEW has included Anarchy in the Arena, Texas Death, and even an I Quit match. But now, The Maniac leads Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, PAC & Daniel Garcia into battle against The Relentless One, The Savior of the Backbreaker, The Sussex County Chicken, Freshly Squeezed & The Violent Artist! Will there be any survivors inside this steel? Or will there only be Blood and Guts?
Starting for the extended Conglomeration is none other than Darby himself. As for The Death Riders, they send The Decoder. The fans are already telling Yuta off as he steps into the cage. The bell rings and the five minute round begins. Darby storms his way to the second ring to meet Yuta, but Yuta goes right back outside? The fans boo but Darby just pursues, and he MISSILE DROPKICKS from the apron! The fans fire up as Yuta lands hard! Darby drags Yuta up and whips him into the side of the cage! Then into railing! And cage! And railing! And then more railing! The fans fire up as Darby uses the full sixty feet ringside as space!
Darby runs in at Yuta, but Yuta sends him hard into railing! The fans boo but Yuta drags Darby up and THROWS him into the steel! The fans tell Yuta off again and again, but Yuta THROWS Darby into the steel again! Yuta mockingly tells Darby they gotta get in the cage. Yuta opens the door, steps inside, and waits on Darby. Darby crawls up the steps, but Yuta BOOTS the door into Darby! Yuta mocks Darby by saying it’s a rough night already and they’re just getting started! Yuta goes out to fetch Darby, then he claims Darby’s the one who keeps running. They’re finally in the ring, and Yuta CHOPS Darby against the ropes!
Yuta taunts Darby, taunts the fans, and he CHOPS Darby! Yuta whips, Darby rolls and runs back up, but Yuta sends him away again. Darby goes up the ropes, up the cage, and COFFIN SPLASHES Yuta down! The fans fire up while Yuta is down! Darby snarls as he stalks Yuta to the second ring. Yuta sees Darby’s board, but Darby jumps over and hops on, CODE RED! Darby then grabs his skateboard, and tada! Tacks are on the underside! Darby DIGS them into Yuta’s forehead! The fans freak out, but Darby stops when he feels satisfied. The fans taunt Yuta with, “You Deserve It!” Yuta flails, he’s already bloodied!
Darby drags Yuta up, but Yuta LOW BLOWS! The fans boo but Yuta brings Darby around, wrench and PAIN THRILLER! Darby writhes, Yuta wipes blood from his forehead, and the countdown is already here. The Conglomeration has advantage, so they send Orange Cassidy! The fans cheer as Cassidy strolls his way down the ramp, backpack in hand. Cassidy puts the backpack in the ring, puts his jacket and shirt aside, then puts on the elbow pad. The fans cheer for “Freshly Squeezed!” as he rolls into the ring. Yuta sputters, and Cassidy BREAKS his sunglasses as a sign that he is deadly serious!
Yuta takes a swing, but Cassidy dodges, and he JABS at Yuta’s head with the sunglasses!! The fans go nuts, Yuta shoves Cassidy away, but Cassidy ducks ‘n’ dodges to tilt-o-whirl and DDT! Cassidy kips up, and Darby joins in. Cassidy puts on what’s left of his glasses while Darby BACK BODY BLOCKS Yuta in the corner! And BACK BODY BLOCKS again! Cassidy takes chains out of the backpack! Darby BACK BODY BLOCKS Yuta again while Cassidy wraps his fist, and then Darby feeds Yuta to the CHAIN BODY BLOW! Yuta falls, Darby hurries to get his board, and Cassidy whips Yuta again, CHAIN BODY BLOW!
Darby goes up with his board, OLLIE ATTACK on Yuta’s back!! The fans fire up while Yuta writhes, but the countdown is back! The Death Riders send Daniel Garcia! Red Death hustles his way out from the back while Cassidy CHOKES Yuta with the chain! Darby is ready, then he clinches with Garcia. They fire fast hands in one ring while Cassidy keeps after Yuta. Garcia has a GUILLOTINE FACELOCK and fans chant, “DO THE DANCE!” Cassidy swings on Garcia, but ends up in a SLEEPER! Darby and Cassidy fight these holds, but Yuta joins in to mug The Conglomeration! The fans boo but Garcia & Yuta soak up that heat.
Garcia flexes while Yuta gets the other chain from Cassidy’s backpack. Yuta & Garcia mug Cassidy, then double whip using the chain, for a CHAIN LARIAT! Then they DROPKICK Darby! The fans boo while The Death Riders are in control, and Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Yuta & Garcia soak up more heat, then Garcia CHOKES Cassidy. Yuta stomps away on Darby, then he and Garcia mug Darby together. They throw Darby aside, then have the chain. They double whip, but Darby springboards! COFFIN SPLASH hits the chain to make Yuta and Garcia run into each other! Cassidy rises, he hobbles his way over, and he “unleashes” kicks on Garcia & Yuta! Then he KICKS and KICKS and KICKS! Then he SHOTGUNS Yuta down! And he SHOTGUNS Garcia down! Cassidy huffs ‘n’ puffs but Yuta knees him low! Darby is after Garcia, Yuta suplexes Cassidy, but into STUN-DOG MILLIONAIRE!
Darby ROCKS Garcia, ROCKS him again, and Cassidy goes up a corner. Garcia turns things around on Darby, but Cassidy LAZY ELBOW DROPS, onto knees! Yuta turns things around on Cassidy, Garcia stomps away on Darby, and Garcia digs his heel in. Yuta SMACKS Cassidy off buckles, then Garcia joins in. They mug Cassidy with “devastating” kicks, mocking Cassidy more than anything. Then they DROPKCIK Cassidy down! Yuta SENTONS and Cassidy writhes. Garcia uses a chain and he CHOKES Darby with it! Yuta turns Cassidy over for a BOSTON CRAB! Garcia stomps away on Cassidy, but Darby CHOKES Garcia in return!
Yuta hurries to go after Darby but that lets Cassidy go after him! Blood & Guts returns to single picture as the brawls continue. Cassidy puts Yuta in a corner, then he and Darby set Yuta and Garcia up together, and wrap them up in the chain! The countdown is back as Cassidy & Darby mug Yuta & Garcia at the same time! And then The Conglomeration sends Mark Briscoe! The fans cheer, but where is he? Everyone looks to the ramp, but did something happen to Briscoe? Yuta LOW BLOWS Cassidy, Garcia LOW BLOWS Darby, and Garcia mockingly asks where Briscoe went. Commentary cues Renee Paquette backstage.
Renee says she’s trying to figure out what’s going on, but something happened in the locker room! Someone attacked Briscoe and those ribs are not looking good. Who’s going next then? Roddy says he’ll go. Kyle says see you out there. The Savior of the Backbreaker is stepping up for the team, but is The Conglomeration still going to be a man down? Garcia & Yuta mock the situation, but Roddy rushes in! Roddy catches Yuta for a HALF NELSON BACKBREAKER! And another HALF NELSON BACKBREAKER! Garcia steps through ropes but Roddy KICKS the ropes to jam Garcia up! Then Roddy CHOPS Garcia, CHOPS him again, and DRAPING BACKBREAKERS!

Roddy hurries to get chairs from the outside, but The Death Riders send Claudio Castagnoli! The Swiss Cyborg, the Emissary of Violence, is making his way to the ring. Claudio and Roddy step to each other, and the brawl is on! The fans fire up or Roddy but Claudio THROWS him into a chair in the corner! Then Claudio catches Darby, but Cassidy jumps on! The fans fire up as Claudio still SWINGS Darby! Even Garcia & Yuta are impressed as Claudio THROWS both Darby and Cassidy!

The countdown is back, and now The Death Riders send Moxley! The Maniac himself steps up, perhaps confident this match is in hand given Briscoe is down and out. And of course he has a fork! He JABS away on Kyle’s forehead!! The fans freak out, but then Roddy runs up! Moxley fires body shots and then SCRAPES the fork on Roddy’s face! Garcia helps mug Roddy, but Darby is after Moxley! Darby ROCKS Moxley, springboards, but into a FORK ATTACK! Darby writhes getting forked in the back! Moxley then CLAWS the fork into Darby’s back! He hands Garcia the fork so Garcia can CLAW Darby’s back!
Garcia & Moxley work together to THROW Darby into the steel! Darby tumbles down, and ends up in the gap between ring and cage!! Kyle is bleeding profusely from the fork attack! Moxley goes out to fetch a barbed wire bat and a bucket of random items! Wait, those are the leftovers from the Women’s Blood & Guts! The broken glass, the pool cue, and more! The countdown is back, The Conglomeration is supposed to send Briscoe, but we know what happened there. Now things stay 4v4 as Moxley DIGS a piece of the busted mirror into Kyle’s already bloody head! Then he takes a taste before he JAMS Kyle down low!
Renee has an update, and AEW Medical says Briscoe is NOT cleared for this match now. The attack that injured the ribs is from The Don Callis Family, clearly insurance for Kyle Fletcher’s chances at Full Gear. Moxley brings the bucket into the ring, Yuta DIGS the fork into Kyle while Claudio CHOKES Cassidy with the chain! Roddy runs up on Yuta, but Yuta puts him in the corner to DIG the fork into his forehead now! Moxley pours out broken glass and tacks from that bucket, and he drags Darby along. Garcia reels Darby in, ASSISTED PILEDRIVERÂ onto the debris! Double-edged for Garcia, but Moxley DRAGS Darby onto the shards!!
The fans boo and tell Moxley he’s sick, but he continues to torture Darby while Blood & Guts goes picture in picture.
Darby kicks at Moxley and gets free. Kyle sputters behind his crimson mask, Yuta CHOKES Cassidy again, and Claudio props a table up in the corner. Darby crawls while Moxley taunts the fans and soaks up heat. Moxley throws hands on Roddy, but Roddy CHOPS, CHOPS, CHOPS! Moxley KNEES Roddy low, then grabs the barbed wire bat! Moxley winds up and CRACKS Roddy in the ribs! Then Moxley taunts a bloody Kyle. Kyle fires hands but Moxley eggs him on. Then he JAMS Kyle low and CRACKS him on the back! Then Claudio SMACKS Kyle with a chair! Kyle writhes while Moxley goes back to Roddy.
Garcia puts Kyle in a corner while Moxley parades Roddy around for the fans to see, and Dynamite goes to break.
Blood & Guts returns one more time, and while Claudio, Yuta & Garcia all mug Kyle, Darby is climbing up the cage! And he now monkey bars his way with the girders! The final countdown is here, but Darby ROOTFOP COFFIN DROPS onto everyone!! Naturally, last for The Death Riders is The Bastard, Pac! He is in no hurry, the advantage is 5v4 now. Roddy runs up but Pac RAMS him low! And slingshots up and over. The bell rings as Pac then SNAP GERMANS Roddy! Pac BOOTS Kyle, but Kyle fires back! Moxley has the ref lock things up, it’s already in the bag. Kyle is keeping up with kicks, but Pac dodges one to then BOOT Kyle to a corner!
Pac runs to UPPERCUT Kyle! Kyle sputters, but Cassidy goes up! CROSSBODY, but Pac catches hm! But Cassidy slips free! Pac bucks the O’Conner Roll, Cassidy ducks ‘n’ dodges, but Pac turns the tilt-o-whirl into a DDT! Wait, how did Yuta get the key? Pac GERMAN SUPLEXES Cassidy! The fans boo but Moxley sits Darby up so Yuta can BITE Darby’s forehead! There are tables in corners, Moxley soaks up heat, and the mugging continues. In a way, they’re just toying with The Conglomeration as Pac builds speed to LARIAT Darby inside-out! The fans boo, but wait! Briscoe is still making his way out here!?
The fans cheer as Briscoe is gonna #ManUp, and he’s bringing a chair, a toolbox, and some bolt cutters! Briscoe cuts right through that padlock! Yuta hurries over but Briscoe SLAMS the door shut on him! He then dodges a chairshot to CHUCK his chair at Garcia! Briscoe dodges Claudio, fires off on Pac, then dodges Claudio! Claudio’s UPPERCUT hits Pac! Briscoe FLYING FOREARMS Claudio, and Claudio falls onto the shards of glass! Moxley JAMS Briscoe with the bat! And TOSSES him to the apron! But Briscoe is right back up, right back out, and he gets the toolbox! Briscoe TOSSES the box in, then he fires haymakers on Yuta!
Briscoe ROCKS Yuta, The Conglomeration makes a comeback, and Briscoe gives Yuta a snap suplex to the floor! The fans fire up as Cassidy opens the toolbox! Roddy fires hands on Moxley, Kyle brawls with Garcia, and Cassidy brings out a WRENCH! He CLOBBERS Pac with it in the corner! Roddy uses a chain to rain down FULL METAL FISTS on Moxley in the corner! The fans count as Roddy goes to TEN! Roddy then stomps Moxley, but Garcia CHOKES Kyle again. Cassidy has the wrench for Moxley! ONE!! The fans are thunderous! Roddy rains down fists on Claudio! Cassidy BODY BLOWS Moxley, but Moxley CHOPS Cassidy!
Moxley hauls Cassidy up top, Kyle GRINDS the barbed wire bat into Garcia! Briscoe CHUCKS another chair at Yuta! Roddy CHOKES Claudio, Garcia KNEES and CLUBS Kyle, and Cassidy resists Moxley’s superplex! Briscoe brings a table around the way but he has to stomp Yuta back down first. Briscoe sets the table up outside the cage?! Briscoe looks up, and everyone dreads what he has planned! Briscoe SMACKS Yuta off the table, but Garcia CHOKES Briscoe with a crossbar cover! Briscoe fights free, reels Garcia in, and suplexes him to the floor! Now Garcia is the one Briscoe puts on the table, and the fans still freak out!
Briscoe climbs up the cage, and he reaches the very top! The fans are fired up but also really worried! Briscoe looks down, but Garcia flops off the table! Garcia wags his finger, but then Kyle grabs that hand for an ARMBAR!! The fans are thunderous, and wait, YUTA has gone up after Briscoe?! Garcia fights off the submission while Yuta and Briscoe brawl on the top of the cage! The fans cheer Briscoe, boo Yuta, and Briscoe fires a flurry! The fans are loving it as Briscoe DECKS Yuta! Briscoe then reveals he has a rope and a hook!? Briscoe sends that down to Kyle, and Kyle hooks it to a chair! Briscoe is fishing for chairs!
Briscoe reels in a big haul and the fans love it! Uh oh, they’re kinda stuck. Briscoe wrangles the chairs and the fans cheer again! But Yuta manages to grab one for his own! The others are brawling in the ring, Briscoe has a chair of his own, and the fans fire up! The chairs CLASH and CLASH like swords, and Yuta is disarmed! Briscoe JAMS Yuta up, then SMACKS him on the back! The fans fire up as Briscoe then gathers the other chairs to make a pile! Briscoe underhooks Yuta, but Yuta drops down to fight the lift! And then LOW BLOW!! The fans boo as Briscoe staggers around! The fans freak out as Briscoe is dangerously close to the edge!
Yuta rises to SMACK Briscoe in the head!! The fans lose their minds while Blood & Guts once again goes picture in picture!
Moxley and the other Death Riders still have control inside the cage, but The Conglomeration is still fighting. Garcia TWISTS Kyle’s ear using the wrench! Yuta has to be careful up top as he walks over to Briscoe. He HAMMERS away on Briscoe while The Death Riders mug Cassidy and Darby. Again, The Death Riders seem to be more toying and torturing The Conglomeration rather than going for a win. Kyle KICKS and KICKS and KICKS away on Garcia & Moxley, where is he getting this energy?! But then Moxley trips Kyle, drags him around, and HIP DROPS the leg! Then Garcia CHOKES Kyle with the chain!
Blood & Guts is once again single picture as Yuta parades around a bloodied Briscoe. Yuta ROCKS Briscoe, ROCKS him again, and then reels him in! Yuta underhooks the arms and the fans boo. But Briscoe wrenches out to LOW BLOW Yuta! And then he reels Yuta in! JAY DRILLERÂ on the chairs and cage roof!! The fans are thunderous, and again Conglomeration turns things around! Darby CHOKES Claudio using a hammer! Moxley storms over to KICK Darby, and he has the fork! Darby fights it off, Roddy CLUBS Moxley, and Briscoe returns to the ground. But Pac then BOOTS him down!
Pac drags Briscoe around to THROW into railing! But then Darby CLOBBERS Pac! Darby drags Pac around and THROWS him into railing! The fans fire up, but GABE KIDD is here?! The Mad Man CLOBBERS Darby! The fans boo as this War Dog is here and he drags Darby away! Gabe CLUBS Darby, Garcia has Cassidy in a SLEEPER, but Cassidy puts his hands in his pockets! Garcia is furious, and he whips Cassidy, but Cassidy SHOTGUNS him! Claudio traps Cassidy’s arms, and Moxley STAPLES the hands in the pants!! Claudio throws Cassidy down so Moxley can add more staples! The fans tell Moxley is sick, but wait, what’re Gabe and Pac up to?
Gabe & Pac have set up tables near the entrance tunnel, and Pac is climbing up! Gabe CHOKES Darby using a belt, then he and Pac DRAG Darby up to the top with said belt! But Darby fights back! Darby BOOTS Gabe off the ladder, but Pac BOOTS Darby! The fans boo but now Gabe goes to fetch something more? Gabe returns, and he has LIGHTER FLUID!! Gabe drenches the tables, and even Moxley can’t believe what is about to happen! Gabe ignites the tables!! Pac drags Darby up to THROW him down through the burning tables!!! The staff hurries to extinguish Darby and the fans are losing their minds!
Gabe grins and The Death Riders are loving this! They continue to mug and pick on The Conglomeration, PARADIGM SHIFT onto Kyle! Then a BULLY CHOKE!! WITH A CHAIN!! Kyle endures, flails, and Roddy tries to make his way over. Garcia & Yuta taunt Roddy as he’s so far away, but Kyle FLIPS Moxley off! The fans love Kyle’s defiant spirit! Claudio says go after Roddy now! They’ll do like Team Mone did Toni & Mina! Garcia holds Roddy up while Claudio puts a chair around Kyle’s neck! But Cassidy kips up and stands in the way!! HE RIPS HIS HANDS FREE!! ORANGE PUNCH for Moxley!! STRONG KNEE for Claudio!! STRONG KNEE for Garcia!!
Briscoe is up!? He has Pac in a FISHERMAN BUSTER down through a table!! ORANGE PUNCH for Moxley again!! Roddy GOURD BUSTERS Garcia into a table! Moxley staggers around, ORANGE PUNCH THE THIRD!!! Roddy underhooks Yuta, TIGER DRIVER onto a table! The table didn’t break, so Roddy THROWS Yuta into it! The fans are thunderous as Cassidy reloads, for a- NO, Claudio catches Cassidy! Cassidy flails, Roddy runs up, but Claudio BOOTS Roddy! Claudio shoves Cassidy, POP-UP- ORANGE PUNCH!! Cassidy hits first! Roddy SPEARS Claudio through the table! ORANGE PUNCH THE FOURTH for Moxley!!!
Kyle has Moxley with an ANKLE LOCK!!! Moxley flails, freaks out, reaches out, but Kyle keeps him back! Claudio is back up, so Roddy & Cassidy DOUBLE SPEAR him through a table!!! Moxley is all alone!! Moxley flails, reels Kyle in, BULLY CHOKE!!! But Kyle slips through, and has the ARMBAR!!! Moxley flails, Kyle gets his leg, back to the ANKLE LOCK!!! KNEEBAR!!! MOXLEY TAPS!!! CONGLOMERATION WINS!!!
Winners: Darby Allin, Roderick Strong & The Conglomeration, by submission
Incredible! Blood was spilt, but the team with more guts wins out in the end! Is this the end of the war with the Death Riders? Will Darby be alright after quite literally crashing and burning?
My Thoughts:
An awesome Blood & Guts special for Dynamite, but AEW continues to really push the envelope. Skye Blue may have overdone her blading there but maybe not since it didn’t affect her part in the match. And with Blake Monroe referencing her time as Mariah May, it was nice to see Toni Storm doing a similar callback with the glass on the fist. Weaponizing all of Mone’s belts was really clever, and Stat taking Mone and herself out with the table spot was good stuff. Using Mina’s suffering against Toni was a very clever move, and the Heels winning perhaps indicates a Face team winning the tag titles. Willow & Harley VS Julia & Skye, Toni & Mina VS Megan & Marina, those are going to be great matches, can’t wait to see how they turn out.
The reason this show was 2.5 hours was so they could also do Hangman VS Hobbs, which was still a great match anyway. Hobbs falling off a ledge to fall through the “electrical equipment” was an awesome way to finish that match. Joe & Shibata attacking after should’ve been obvious, and good save from Hook & Eddie. Escalating Hangman VS Joe at Full Gear into a Steel Cage match is great stuff, but I get this feeling that Hook will choose that moment to turn on Hangman and rejoin The Opps, and I can’t even be sure why. Hangman VS Shibata for the big go-home episode next week will be great stuff, too.
Throwing in that Don Callis Family attack on Jurassic Express was also good stuff, it really adds a little more to the Full Gear build. But surely The Bucks accept their Callis Family membership next week, if only because of peer pressure. Turning on Callis Family before Full Gear would do away with the Million Dollar match, but The Bucks could always grow a conscience during the match and betray the Don Callis Family then. The FTR promo with Ricky Steamboat left a lot to be desired. Granted, Ric Flair apparently left early, his injured rotator cuff was too painful to do much with. So that means the whole segment was rewritten last minute, giving a valid excuse to why Steamboat wasn’t sure what to say and how. But Brodido of course made a save, great stuff for them.
The Men’s Blood & Guts was also wild stuff, but they really had a lot to live up to with just how innovative the women were in their match. I still like the idea of fishing chairs, and the story overlap where DCF mugs Briscoe to put some doubt into the outcome. Gabe showing up was a surprise, and I guess he was needed to pull off that burning table spot, but they still could’ve done that with the Death Riders they had on hand. Gabe says he’s NJPW for life but then why’s he over here in AEW? Is he going to do some Continental Classic matches and maybe be part of World’s End before WrestleKingdom in January?
As for the finish, Cassidy hulking out of his hands stapled to his pants was wild, and the comeback from The Conglomeration was great. Interesting how the teams with advantage won out in both cases. But even then, they can do some compelling stuff with The Death Riders after this. Perhaps Moxley’s leadership will be in question when he’s the one who gave up, again. And what of that tease where the Death Riders would fight Don Callis Family? Is that not the case with how Briscoe and Fletcher will be facing off at Full Gear? Will we get even more Conglomeration VS Callis Family shenanigans going into the holidays?
