The moment Gallus is ringside, Harlem & Keanu rush them, and they brawl despite it being 3v2! The fans fire up, but refs and security rush out here! Stevie Turner shows up and she has a mic to shout at everyone! “Enough! Let them go! Let them go! Ring the bell!” The ref does as told and the bell rings, and the fans fire up now that the Coffey Brothers brawl with Harlem & Keanu on the record! Harlem and Mark tumble out, leaving Keanu and Joe to brawl in the ring! The fans chant “BEAT! THE MEAT!” and Keanu ROCKS Joe! Joe falls back, Keanu staggers, and Harlem KNEES Mark! Harlem suplexes Mark high and hard to the floor!

Keanu TOSSES Joe to a corner, runs up, but Joe dodges. Keanu ROCKS Joe, ROCKS him again, but Joe ROCKS Keanu! Joe ducks ‘n’ dodges and DOUBLE CROSSBODIES collide! Keanu survived a lot, but he couldn’t survive it all, all because he and Harlem couldn’t put things aside. But will Keanu make Harlem pay for ditching him when it comes time to fight for the title?

Sean Legacy talks with Timothy Thatcher.

Super Sean assures Terrible Tim that he isn’t here to fight. He wants to say man to man that Lexis King & Vanity Project are a little too buddy buddy. Does Thatcher mind being in Sean’s corner? Thatcher asks why Sean’s even asking. Sean says he respects everything Thatcher has done in his career, and he is sure after their own 1v1 match, Thatcher respects Sean. Sean also knows Thatcher believes in the WWEID Program, just like Sean. But Vanity Project doesn’t care! They’re the same kind of prima donnas that picked on Sean before he was super. So what does Thatcher say?

Thatcher thinks, but then he says he’ll do it. They shake hands, and Sean thanks Thatcher. His pat on the chest is a bit hard and Sean apologizes. But will Super Sean humble the Drama King in tonight’s main event? Or will Lexis start gatekeeping right from the start?

Backstage interview with Edris Enofe.

Chuey Martinez welcomes back the Pride of Nigeria, and Edris says the fact that he is here on Evolve is amazing. The hottest new brand, why wouldn’t he make his comeback here? Chuey does want to talk about the seven MONTHS Edris was away with injury, and Edris says it was a labrum tear. Injuries are part of the business, and it was a blessing in disguise. These past seven months, Edris has built himself back up both physically and mentally, and now he is ready to show the world why he is more than just “potential.” Chuey brings up that Edris was in a team with Malik Blade but now he is solo, what can we expect?

Edris says being in a tag team means you do half the work. Now it’s all Edris. Edris knows his potential, how great he really is, and he will show that #EOE was not just a nickname or persona. It is a way of life. The Epitome of Excellence means to do everything to the best of your ability, and that’s Edris’ plan. So obviously he has his eyes on the Evolve Championship, right? Uh, is the sky blue? Does he look good? Of course he wants that title. The WWEID guys are talented, here to take any opportunity, and he cannot allow anyone else to get past him. That’s how it has been for three YEARS. Time to step up and speak up.

And the best way to test himself is to be here on Evolve against the hungriest of the hungry. Chuey respects that. Chuey hopes Evolve is ready for this. Will nothing stop Edris from making WWE all about the EOE?

Masyn Holiday & Chantel Monroe talk in the locker room.

Masyn says it’s great to see Edris back, but Chantel isn’t really paying attention. Masyn says she is up next, does Chantel want to be in her corner? Chantel asks, “Why would the Reflection of Perfection ever want to do that? Besides, I have a Women’s Evolve Championship to worry about.” Masyn says she’s waiting on Chantel to drop this act. When she’s ready to show the world the real Chantel, let Masyn know. Masyn heads out, but will she be one step closer to that Women’s Evolve Championship Fatal 4 Way? Or will she end up run right over by her opponent?

Kali Armstrong VS Masyn Holiday!

The bell rings and Kali circles with Masyn. They tie up, Kali powers Masyn right to ropes, and then lets off as the ref counts. Kali talks trash, she and Masyn tie up again, and Kali headlocks for a takeover. Masyn headscissors, Kali kips free and the fans fire up. The two reset, tie up again, and Kali wrenches to a wristlock. Masyn rolls, but Kali wrangles her! Kali kneels on Masyn, makes fun of Masyn’s cheer squad background, then cranks the wristlock. Masyn uses the ropes to flip through, then she wrenches and wristlocks in return. Masyn has the cording hold, but Kali pulls hair and powers out. Masyn RUNS Kali over, and swaggers!

Things speed up, Kali drops down, Masyn hurdles over, and Masyn CROSSBODIES! Cover, TWO! Kali gets up, Masyn runs, Kali POP-UP HAYMAKERS! Kali brings Masyn around, bumps her off buckles, then RAMS into her again and again! The fans are torn, the ref counts, and Kali lets off. Kali talks trash, then runs back in, and RAMS Masyn one more time! Masyn staggers into a scoop, and a SLAM! Cover, TWO! Masyn shows some grit but Kali clamps on for a GROUND COBRA TWIST! Masyn endures, Kali thrashes her around, and the fans rally. Masyn fights around, fights up to her feet, and she fires body shots!

Masyn is free, she whips, but Kali reverses! Kali CLOBBERS Masyn, then she brings Masyn up. Kali scoops, Masyn slips free, and Masyn shoves Kali to a corner! Kali staggers and Masyn RUNS her over! And DROPKICKS her down! Cover, TWO! Kali is frustrated but Masyn runs, ducks ‘n’ dodges, then hurdles again! But Kali catches her for the POWERSLAM! The fans rally up and Kali builds up speed! #TooStrongArmstrong gets another win, and she’s more than ready for that Fatal 4 Way. But who will the fourth woman in that match be? Kali grabs a mic to say, “Ey, man. Ever since day one here in Evolve, I’ve been proving to everyone that I’m a difference maker. And in just a few weeks, I’ma prove to everybody that I’m a history maker. Cuz I’ma be the first ever Evolve Women’s Champion! Now, I’ve seen the women’s locker room. And I ain’t gonna lie, they pretty impressive. But did y’all see what I did to Kendal Grey? So Stevie Turner, I don’t care what other woman you put in that Fatal 4 Way, because at the end of the day, that title is coming home with me.”

But then Zayda Steel shows up. She says, “Whoa, whoa, whoa, wait a minute. Hi, Kali! I’m the Real Deal, Zayda Steel, y’all know. Part of the hottest group, The vanity Project, and I know we haven’t properly met. And now I know why. Because you’re delusional! Listen, I know you can do all the crazy flips, the athleticism, back up. But me? I have a brain! Something that you don’t have! Because if yo did, you would know that Women’s Championship has one girl’s name on it. And that’s the real Deal, Zayda-” But out comes Chantel Monroe! And she tells Zayda that she is sure of everyone watching Evolve around the world, NO ONE wants to hear Zayda’s “whiny ass voice.”

The fans fire up for that! Chantel joins everyone in the ring to tell Kali that hey, she’s got game. Kali is strong, powerful, but she is NOT the Reflection of Perfection. Besides, when you call yourselves perfection, you need a championship to go with it. But wait, out comes Kylie Rae! Kylie apologizes for interrupting, and she knows she’s been going through a lot with Wendy Choo. But there is just something about Wendy Choo… Well, Kylie isn’t here to talk about that. What keeps her smiling is that there’s one spot open in the Fatal 4 Way. And Kylie will do everything she can- Zayda tells Kylie to just shut up.

The fans boo but Zayda says Wendy’s makeover on Kylie from a couple weeks ago was the best Kylie’s ever looked. Zayda feels Wendy should’ve put Kylie in the pillow case to ship her far, far, far- KYLIE DECKS ZAYDA! Kali ROCKS Kylie! Chantel ROCKS Kali, then runs, but into a military press! Kali TOSSES Chantel out onto everyone else! The fans fire up, but KENDAL GREY IS HERE! SNAP SAIDO! And then EXPLODER! Kali bails out, and Kendal tells Kali that she can’t be broken that easily! Will this Fatal 4 Way Elimination match come down to Kali and Kendal settling things once and for all?

Keanu Carver busts into Stevie’s office.

Keanu says if he finds Harlem, it is on sight! He will punish Harlem! Stevie says she saw what happened and Keanu has every right to be upset. Next week, Keanu VS Harlem, 1v1. How’s that? Keanu says he can rock with that. Keanu heads out, but will he take Harlem right out of the title scene?

Javier Bernal VS It’s Gal!

No longer “Big Body Javi,” he has found something new deep within himself, and he is ready to rock Evolve to its core! But will this new side of Javi turn things around? Or will “The Man in Mint Condition” not care one way or another?

The bell rings and the two tie up. They go around, Gal wrenches and wristlocks, but Javi rolls, kips up and steps over to wrench. Gal goes for ropes but Javi keeps him back. Gal puts Javi in the corner, the ref counts, and Gagl flexes. Javi CHOPS! Gal swings, Javi dodges and headlocks. Gal powers up, Javi holds on, but Gal powers out. Javi ducks ‘n’ dodges to tilt-o-whirl and RANA! Then he DROPKICKS! Gal staggers to the ropes, and Javi goes up, out, and SUPERKICKS from the apron! Gal flounders and Javi fires up! The fans rally behind Javi and he goes up top! CROSSBODY! Cover, TWO! Javi keeps on Gal but Gal choke grips!

Javi breaks free and he CHOPS! Gal is stinging as he goes to a corner. Javi runs up, Gal THROWS him away! And then DISCUS LARIAT! Cover, TWO! Javi stays in this but Gal stomps away on him. Gal bumps Javi off buckles, fires fast hands then ROCKS him! The fans rally for Javi but Gal tells them to shut up. Gal drags Javi into a chinlock but Javi endures. Javi fights around, fights up to his feet, and the fans rally. Javi fires body shots, but Gal shoves him and DROPKICKS him! Cover, TWO! Gal is frustrated but he flexes to soak up heat. But then Javi avoids the leg drop! And he comes back to DROPKICK Gal!

The fans rally, Javi aims and runs up to CLOBBER Gal! And CLOBBER him again! Javi dodges Gal to BACKDROP him! The fans fire up and Javi runs in, DROPKICK in the corner! Gal flounders from that “Thunderkiss 65,” and then Javi hits a SUPERKICK to a FLATLINER! Cover, TWO!? Gal survives and Javi is fuming! Javi drags Gal up, underhooks, but Gal wrenches out and Gory Especials! GAL BOMB on the buckles! And a BOOT! The fans boo but Gal reels Javi in. But Javi drops down, victory rolls, JAVI WINS!!

The fans boo as Gal HAMMERS away on Javi, then stomps him down! Gal drags Javi around, KNEE DROPS then HAMMERS away! The fans boo more but Gal lets off, only to rain down more fury! The ref reprimands but Gal reels Javi in for a STRIATION BOMB!! Gal says no one embarrasses him! But will Gal’s redheaded rage only get the better of him as he has more tough matches?

Stevie Turner meets with Nikkita Lyons.

The “Prime Minister” tells #BigKatKita that she is welcome on Evolve any time she wants. She was very impressive. And she might just get in on the Playoff Match to determine that final spot in the title match. Lyons says nuh-uh, once you crown a champion, then you can call her. Lyons leaves, only interested if there’s big game to hunt down. If she’s not in the Fatal 4 Way, then who will she be targeting after the Fatal 4 Way?

Backstage interview with Kylie Rae.

Chuey is now with Smiley Kylie and brings up that news from Stevie Turner. Kylie’s smile might be permanent. Kylie agrees, and she will be in that Playoff Match! It’s her, Zayda Steel, Aria Bennett and Chantel Monroe. This is the opportunity Kylie has been waiting for. She will win her way into the title match, and maybe even become the inaugural Evolve Women’s Champion. Chuey likes the confidence, but he has to know: What was up with that match against Wendy Choo? Kylie frowns and admits she took that loss really hard. But she has no time to worry about that with the Playoff match to get ready for.

Kylie heads out, will she turn that frown upside-down and grab that last spot in the title match?

Stevie officially signs Troy Yearwood to Evolve.

Troy is very grateful to Stevie for this opportunity to showcase his skills on Evolve. He’ll show everyone in LFG that he IS a star, and that he can make it in the WWE. Stevie says she is looking forward to it. But then Gal comes laughing in and asks what they thought about what he did out there. Troy asks, “What? You taking that loss?” Gal says no, he means how he gave Javi something else to cry about. Gal though tit was beautiful, ferocious, and breathtaking, just like himself. Stevie says no, it was uncalled for. He doesn’t call the shots, she does. So Gal can take his loss and-

Gal says save the speech! It’s Gal is gonna- Troy tells Gal that he can’t talk to the PM like that. Now, if Gal has a problem, let’s talk about it. Gal says hold on, don’t be mad just because Gal has a better physique. Gal laughs his way out of the room, but will Troy laugh Gal out of the locker room?

Lexis King VS Sean Legacy w/ Timothy Thatcher!

The former NXT Heritage Cup Champion has come to Evolve just to prove he’s better than everyone in Evolve, and to gatekeep the NXT locker room. But will Lexis have his Coronation as King of Tubi? Or will “Super Sean” send this poor man’s Lex Luther back to where he came from?

The big fight introductions are given and the fans are already fired up. The bell rings, the fans cheer on “LE-GA-CY! LE-GA-CY!” Sean and Lexis tie up, go around, and then break. Lexis smirks but he and Sean tie up again. Lexis wrenches to wristlock, but Sean rolls, only for Lexis to wrangle him. Sean fights around, but Lexis wrenches again. Sean rolls, handsprings, and wrenches to wristlock. The fans rally but Lexis fights up. Lexis rolls, but Sean pushes him to a cover, ONE! Sean arm-drags then armlocks! The fans cheer but Lexis pulls at hair. The ref reprimands, Lexis fights up, but Sean wrenches to an ELBOW BREAKER!

Sean and Lexis go around, and Lexis rolls to then cartwheel and handspring. Lexis reaches up to KICK Sean, and then smirks again. Things speed up, Lexis drops, hurdles, but Sean leaps over! Things keep moving but Lexis steps on Sean’s dropdown. Thatcher coaches Sean while Lexis swaggers, and Sean CHOPS! Sean whips, Lexis reverses, but Sean RUNS Lexis over! Sean WRINGS Lexis’ arm, then steps on him! Sean swaggers to taunt Lexis, but then he has to dodge Lexis. Lexis bucks the O’Conner, but Sean gets moving to dropkick the legs out! DOUBLE STOMP to the back, then a DROPKICK to the face!

Lexis scrambles to a corner but Sean CHOPS him! Sean swings again but Lexis dodges. Lexis swings but Sean dodges back, and Sean CHOPS! Sean CHOPS again, whips, but Lexis reverses. Sean goes up and over, Lexis dodges, but then Sean ELBOWS him! Sean goes up, but Lexis DROPKICKS him to the floor! The fans rally, Thatcher coaches Sean, but Lexis goes out to CLUB Sean again and again! The ref reprimands, Lexis RAMS Sean into the apron, and the ring count climbs. Lexis taunts Thatcher, the ref tells Thatcher to stay back, and Lexis goes back to Sean while Evolve goes to break.

Evolve returns and Lexis snapmares Sean to KICK him in the back! Lexis soaks up the heat, taunts Sean, but Sean sits up. Lexis KICKS him again, but Sean is up to ROCK and CHOP! Lexis CLUBS Sean, reels him in, and suplexes, only for Sean to block! Lexis still tries, but Sean suplexes Lexis for a GOURD BUSTER! Sean winds up and KICKS Lexis now! And KICKS him down! And STANDING MOONSAULTS onto knees! Lexis turns things around, then CLUBS Sean down. Lexis ties up the legs and has the BOW ‘N’ ARROW! Sean endures, Thatcher coaches him, and Sean pops free to the cover! TWO, and Lexis knees low!

Lexis CLUBS Sean, whips, but Sean reverses! Lexis tumbles out, Sean builds speed and he DIVES! Down goes Lexis at the ramp! The fans fire up with Sean and he hurries to put Lexis in the ring. Sean aims from the apron, springboards, but Lexis SUPERKICKS him out of the air! Cover, TWO! Sean survives but Lexis rains down fists! The ref reprimands, but Lexis stalks Sean to ropes. Lexis reels Sean in for a scoop and BACKBREAKER! Lexis pushes on Sean in the backbreaker rack but Thatcher coaches Sean to fight. Sean fires hands, then fires forearms! Lexis slips around, back suplexes, but Sean lands out!

Sean feints the punch to DDT Lexis down! The fans fire up and Thatcher says push forward! Sean rises up, blocks a shot and gives a shot! Sean counter punches again, then runs to CLOBBER Lexis! And CLOBBER him again! And SOBAT! FRONT KICK! BOOT! And GERMAN SUPLEX! The fans fire up and Sean goes to the apron! Sean aims, springboards, MISSILE DROPKICK! High stack cover, TWO!! Lexis survives and Sean is shocked! Thatcher coaches Sean to stay on Lexis and the fans rally up. Sean hurries to another corner, springboards, but Lexis dodges! Sean rolls through, but Lexis rolls him into the HALF CRAB!

Sean endures, turns over, and he BOOTS Lexis away! And BOOTS him again! Sean runs up in the corner, GAMANGIRI! Lexis flops down, Sean goes to the apron! Springboard 450 SPLASH!! Direct hit and Sean covers, TWO!! Lexis survives and Sean is beside himself! Thatcher coaches Sean to just stay focused and stay on Lexis. Sean waistlocks, torture racks, but the back gives out! Sean gets mad, he gets Lexis up, and torture racks again! But Lexis grabs ropes! Lexis kicks at Sean, then dodges Sean to LARIAT! And CHOP! Lexis wrenches, straitjackets, BACKSTABBER!! Cover, TWO!!

The fans fire up as Sean survives, but Lexis has the HALF CRAB again! Thatcher coaches Sean to push through, and Sean powers up! But Lexis steps over to complete the Crab! Only for Sean to roll and throw hands from below! Lexis lets go and staggers away. Lexis kicks low, reels Sean in, CORO- NO, Sean slips free to backslide! Lexis scrambles, dodges, but Sean blocks a kick to ROCK Lexis! Lexis ROCKS Sean! The forearms go back and forth, then Sean fires off elbows and uppercuts! But Lexis CHOPS, CHOPS, and UPPERCUTS in return! Sean rebounds, but into a SUPERKICK! Lexis runs, but into a SPANISH FLY!

The fans fire up while both men are down! Thatcher shouts for Sean to get up, but VANITY PROJECT attacks! Thatcher fights off Jackson Drake, Brad Baylor & Ricky Smokes, but then Sean FLIES out onto them all! Thatcher tells Sean to get back in the ring, but Lexis KNEES Sean down! And then CORONATION!! Cover, Lexis wins!

Winner: Lexis King, by pinfall

The Drama King has his first win on Evolve, but not without help from his new court jesters. Will Lexis and the Vanity Project work together to take over both Evolve and NXT?

Brinley Reece is down, clutching her shoulder! Who did this to #BrinEnergy on the verge of crowning a champion?

My Thoughts:

A very good episode of Evolve, and a little bit longer than they’ve usually run. The irony of Evolve all being pre-taped in batches, Gallus and Javier Bernal win their last matches in WWE. At the same time, Gal beating up Javi can eventually be used to explain away what happened to him, like an injury angle or something. Gal starting beef with LFG’s Troy Yearwood is probably part of that, where Gal can’t feud with Javi anymore so he’ll help get a new guy going. As for Gallus, they’re kinda just out of the story now as Harlem and Keanu focus on each other. They’re in one of these “Playoff” (Play-In?) matches, and we’ll likely get more in the weeks to come.

With that, good promo from Masyn with Chantel before Masyn loses to Kali, and very good promo of Kali, Chantel, Zayda and Kylie to help build the women’s play-in match. A one-fall Fatal 4 to join a Fatal 4 Elimination is an interesting route, but I feel like Kylie should get in on the title match so she can also settle things with Wendy. And as I said, Kali and Kendal really should be the final two standing to settle their own score. Great to see Edris back and a good promo, let’s hope he gets in the Men’s Evolve Championship match. Good promo from Lyons to kinda give us a reason why she won’t actually be in Evolve a lot.

Very good promo from Sean and Thatcher to keep that partnership going. Great main event of Lexis VS Legacy, but of course Vanity Project helps Lexis win. I’m sure we’ll see others join Sean’s side so that we can get like Evolve’s first 10 Man Tag of Lexis, Jackson Drake, Bryce Donovan & Swipe Right VS Legacy, Thatcher, and surely Cappuccino Jones, Jack Cartwheel and maybe even Drako Knox since he still has beef with Vanity Project.
