Trick-NA, Double JJ Double Champ, how will TNA rally the troops after Slammiversary?
Now we reach an interesting turning point in the awful booking of Delirious and Dreamer. Taking the belt off of Masha was smart because she has no aura and is a bad champion and Trick retaining definitely makes things feel like a bad cuck video. Does TNA continue to miss the moment to crown new champions, or will the extended build payoff for the first time? At least Dudleyz vs Hardyz should push Bound For Glory interest, and Devon, Chris Van Vliet and Busted Open have already done a better job promoting TNA that some former leadership combinations.
It’s time to sit back and wait to see if they can keep interest or if Slammiversary will go down as yet another LOLTNA missed moment.
Tonight’s episode of #TNAiMPACT is dedicated to the memory of Hulk Hogan.

Santino comes out to hype the crowd, a little Hogan reference for the pop and says he’ll put people in place to get the gold back, Masha comes out to ruin the segment because she can’t cut a promo and sounds like a joke. She’s cashing in her rematch next week and let’s just hope Jacy cheats and retains.
The System comes out now in Hogan colors except for Moose. Now we’ll see if System are just playing for Team TNA or if they’re turning face. Santino shakes their hands before Eddie starts talking, and it’s a legit handshake no shortcuts. Eddie makes it clear they’re fighting for a greater good not just themselves. They get pops from the crowd, Moose puts over Leon Slater and they tell Santino they’ll be his soldiers for the TNA. So they’re babyfaces now.
Trick and First Class come out to talk smack, now Order 4 comes out too since Trick talked smack about Order 4 as well. Ali cements that they’re heels gives Trick and First Class a passing insult as they focus on The System. As Ali is talking Eddie just punches him in the face so the brawl breaks out as we go to commercial. Twenty minutes of talking followed by a brawl into a break…not really a captivating way to retain new viewers after Slammiversary.
We come back, System is talking to Santino about doing something so Cardona walks over, says he’s got their back so Santino wants the Edge Heads to tag against the Hands tonight and the rest will face Trick Class next week I’m pretty sure. Now we get the Personal Concierge introducing the Elegance Clique for their 6 person tag.
The Elegance Clique w/Personal Concierge vs IInspiration & Mara Sade
Mara is formerly know as Jakara Jackson for those who don’t know.
Elegance mess around a little and have M start because she’s tall, IInspiration almost takes out Mara, Clique saves her, the 3 Elegantos do the IICONIC pose for insults, Elegance get laid out, Mara hits a Suicida, Jessie loses the control, gets thrown around and chokes out by M Kevin Nash style with the foot in the corner. Ash is in being a goof, licking Mara’s lollypop as she mollywhops Jessie. But Mara and Cassie being annoyed at the lollypop usage distracted the ref. Cass gets the tag, lays into Heather but Heather uses her…lack of height to her advantage. She ducks Cass’s Spin Kick and Drops her over the ropes to the outside, tags out to ASH and ASH starts beating on Cassie with the apron and steps.
Cass tries to fight back to her feet but ASH lays her out with a few lariats and back into Sleeper Hold. More attempts at fighting back up but ASH cuts her off. Trios attack in the corner, Back Handspring Elbow from ASH, Running Low Dropkick from Heather and M hits a Drive By and poses. Elegance Clique are really dominating at the moment, heel short cuts, solid tag work and M is getting a lot of screen time, so its nice they’re highlighting the newest member. Heather and M try to knock the other 2 off the apron but it backfires, Mara and M get the simultaneous tags. Hip Attacks for everyone, Slingblade, Do-si-Do into a Tornado DDT on M! Signature spam but M and Heather pull off a tandem Avalanche move, Mara fights back, tags in the IInspiration, they hit the Idolizer on Heather and Ms Snackson gets her new name debut win!
.@itsmarasade joins @CassieLee and @JessicaMcKay to take on The Elegance Brand!

Eric Young is going full conspiracy theory wanting to “cleanse” TNA of outsiders, so ICE Armoury on the way. Oh for God sakes, “British Flip Gordon” Leon Slater comes out to talk and make everyone hate having the ability to hear for the next few minutes. Oh I zoned out, he called out the Hardyz who said cliche crap with references from 10 or more years ago, Maclin comes out and they stand together as “True TNA Champions” so all of these makeshift alliances…IF WE DON’T GET LOCKDOWN WHEN EVERYONE IS CREATING FACTIONS I’LL…I guess I’ll be disappointed like 80% of the time I watch this after Scott left.
NoDQ: Mance Warner w/SDL vs Jake Something
Jake charges down and clubs Mance early but SDL feeds Mance weapons and Jake is quickly eating chairs and trashcan lids. Something gets a few shots in, tries to jump eats a chair. This is so far just Jake looking like a big dumb gorilla who throws himself blindly into stupid things and gets cracked. Then there’s a Kevin Owens build a chair spot moment, but it takes too long. Jake is selling entirely too long, a few bully moves from Jake, clubbing blows and a Sitout Powerbomb. This is absolute garbage paced like a nap being fast forwarded.
SDL interferes, Mance cuts off Jake on the top, Superplex in the chair art and Jake kicks out of course. SDL licks a sledgehammer and hands it to Mance, he’ll probably miss..yup no crap, Jake punches the chair into Mance’s face, Mance powders and Something follows. He finds a little bag of boredom, Tacks because of course, on the floor, Jake wants the chokeslam, Mance fights off, but Jake clubs him and then pulls off a bad Back Body Drop where Jake lands more on the tacks than Mance but he has to no sell it. Ultimate Warrior rope shake, Into the Void, meh.
Fatal Influence comes out to basically no reaction, Jacy says nothing of merit beyond the fact she knows the names of all the knockouts and ends her promo to no noise at all. Like…I agree with her beating Masha, but Jacy ain’t good. Fallon…now Fallon is where its at.
Great Hands vs Edge Heads w/Lish
Hotch and Cardona do a few similar spots of shoving, jawing, swinging but Cardona gets the best of things, tags to Myers, Russian Leg Sweep/STO combination. Hotch powders, Myers falls for the ring around the rosie, Tasha distracts Myers so Hotch and Skyler hit the quick tags to lay in some offense but they go to the well too often and Myers has a DDT/Flatliner for the Hands and Cardona tags in, clears house, UnPretty-Her from Cardona on Skyler, Cardona wants the Reboot, Ali and Tasha try to distract, Lish attachs Tasha and a giant Secret Service Guy hits the Double Choke Bomb, and Skyler gets the win.
Mike Santana vs Joe Hendry
Kaz comes out to commentary again…like I’m torn, I like Kaz on commentary but OH Rehwoldt and the referees kick Kaz out before the intros even happen. Look at that, consistency on tone of the TNA vs NXT thing instead of blind heel buffoonery.
Joe tries to shake hands to start the match and Mike is thinking about it but finally does. Lock Up into the corner from Joe, break, mirrored by Mike, they shove, they’re slow building this. Then the go into a World of Sport chain wrestling spot. Lots of chain wrestling, stalls to stare at each other and back to the wrestling stalemate with no strikes thrown yet. Headlock, takeover from Mike, Roll into a 1 count from Hendry, getting things back into the chain wrestling wheel house, 4 minutes in, still no strikes. They start shoving, but Mike grabs a headlock, rope run, Shoulder Tackle hoss spot, Hendry drops down, His Toss, counters, Hip Tosses for all, back and forth, dodge and Santana trips up Hendry and Senton gives him a moment to flex as we finally see some strikes after about 5 minutes and it’s both men trading chops and rotating.
Santana gets the best of the Chops, Three Amigos into a pinfall for two and a Latino Heat shimmy. Hendry whipped into the corner, bounces out and eats a Back Elbow. Snapmare, Dropkick to the back of the head and a two count, Santana has been in the driver’s seat for a little bit now. Mike drives in the knees and grabs a Headlock, but Hendry fights up just to eat a Forearm. Santana wants Three Amigos again, but Joe counters with a Suplex of his own into Uppercuts and a Strong Irish Whip for two. Duck, dodge and wail on the rope runs before Hendry finally catches him with the Back Elbow for another two count. Joe puts on a seated Cobra Clutch as Santana struggles to power out but the crowd does the thing. Trading strikes, whipped into the ropes but Mike Flying Lariat, Joe eats two Chops, poorly times up and over into a Gamengiri and Rolling Buck Fifty but Hendry counters into his Rope Bounce Cutter.
Hendry a few punches, Lariat, Sack of Shit into the Kip Up. Standing, no, Olympic Slam from Hendry but of course only a 2. Mike fires but eats a Pop-Up Powerbomb into the Attitude Adjustment for guess what, yup a two count. Standing…O…no. Mike counters a few weird dodges and Rolling Buck Fifty, Frog Splash for two. Spin blocked, trades, Cradles, Locomotion Counter/Mat wrestling. Santana gets the best of the Locomotion Cradle stuff for the victory.
Overall Score: 5/10
This is a hard show to gauge because as a weekly watcher, this was boring as Hell. Entirely too much talking, matches weren’t good enough to make me forget what felt like an hour of cliche crap and alliances forming. So just very meh. Also Hendry and Santana do not have good chemistry. The last third of their match was slow, clunky and the Locomotion finish was executed poorly…to put it nicely.
I should grade it more heavily because of all the potential new eyes after setting records at Slammiversary, but since I am not a casual fan, I don’t know how they saw the pacing. I thought it was god awfully boring, but I suppose it did draw lines clearly and get across who the players are in the stories…but I don’t have to like it just because I can see a sliver of logic.
So yeah, kind of a nothing burger show, but I guess it’s better than awful.
