Chairshot Staff Picks: Evolution

For the first time since the inaugural event in October of 2018, the all-women’s WWE PLE Evolution has returned. I must say this is quite the stacked card. Let’s get to the picks…

• AJ – Stephanie Vaquer – We’ll have some nice returns but this is for Stephanie. She’s the most over and it’s also primarily NXT people in this Royale.
• Andrew – Stephanie Vaquer
• Dave – Stephanie Vaquer – I think we are moving towards her & Rhea.
• DJ – Nikki Bella
• DPP – Nikki Bella
• Jason – Nikki Bella
• Patrick – Stephanie Vaquer
• Rey – Stephanie Vaquer – Mami VS Mamacita? Yes please!
• Rob – Nikki Bella
• Greg – Nikki Bella – Let’s be honest, unless Stephanie Vaquer pulls off a shocker, this thing has Nikki written all over it.

Tunney’s Take: Nikki Bella – Clash in Paris looks to be the first title match for Nikki since Evolution in 2018 against Ronda Rousey.

Chairshot Pick – Nikki Bella 6-5

• AJ – Jordynne Grace – It’s nice seeing the Jacy run but they need to strike with Grace or she’s going to fall off people’s care list.
• Andrew – Jordynne Grace – The crossover with TNA makes me think she’s winning.
• Dave – Jordynne Grace – Time to get that belt where it has belonged for a while!
• DJ – Jacy Jane
• DPP – Jordynne Grace
• Jason – Jordynne Grace
• Patrick – Jordynne Grace
• Rey – Jordynne Grace – Jordynne finally wins, then Mariah turns heel.
• Rob – Jordynne Grace – Jordynn wins to set up her vs Masha Slamavich at Slammiversary.
• Greg – Jordynne Grace – Unless there’s a double pin or a no contest (or something else that gets Grace into the Slammiversary card), Jacy Jayne is being fed to The Juggernaut.

Tunney’s Take: Jordynne Grace – Plain and simple, it’s time.

Chairshot Pick – Jordynne Grace 10-1

• AJ – Jade Cargill – Naomi will get revenge after SummerSlam when it’s for the title.
• Andrew – Jade Cargill – Naomi is on brief case eat losses duty.
• Dave – Jade Cargill – Naomi will get the last laugh…but not tonight.
• DJ – Jade Cargill
• DPP – Jade Cargill
• Jason – Jade Cargill
• Patrick – Jade Cargill
• Rey – Jade Cargill – That dastardly Jade goes over to SummerSlam.
• Rob – Jade Cargill
• Greg – Jade Cargill – Jade Cargill is headed to SummerSlam to fight Tiffany Stratton. Naomi has a briefcase that says she has zero reason to win a match before she cashes in.

Tunney’s Take: Jade Cargill – No reason to have the challenger for SummerSlam taking losses along the way. MITB briefcase makes Naomi Teflon.

Chairshot Pick – Jade Cargill 11-0

• AJ – Tiffany Stratton -It’s Tiffy Time. There’s no way they have Tiffy lose to Trish unless they want Trish to transition to Jade.
• Andrew – Tiffany Straton – I don’t see a need for another Trish run.
• Dave – Tiffany Stratton – It explains itself.
• DJ – Tiffany Stratton
• DPP – Tiffany Stratton
• Jason – Tiffany Stratton
• Patrick – Tiffany Stratton
• Rey – Tiffany Stratton – Bruh, for real?
• Rob – Naomi – MITB cash in!
• Greg – Tiffany Stratton – Like I said, Jade Cargill s headed to SummerSlam to fight Tiffany Stratton.

Tunney’s Take: Tiffany Straton – Tiffy v Jade @ SummerSlam

Chairshot Pick – Tiffany Straton 10-1

• AJ – Bayley – She can do more with the belt than the other two. Tired of the Irish Invasion stinking up the mid card.
• Andrew – Becky Lynch – What’s that place with all the shit on the wall & mozzarella sticks?
• Dave – Becky Lynch – Tough one but I feel like Big Time Becks retains here.
• DJ – Lyra Valkyria
• DPP – Bayley
• Jason – Lyra Valkyria
• Patrick – Becky Lynch
• Rey – Becky Lynch – Triple threat means heel sneaks out champ.
• Rob – Becky Lynch – Becks holds on one more time.
• Greg – Lyra Valkyria – I don’t know, man. Triple H seems to have this thing for Lyra.

Tunney’s Take: Bayley – Lyra takes the pin giving us Bayley to defend against Becks at SummerSlam

Chairshot Pick – Becky Lynch 5-3-3

• AJ – Raquel & Roxanne – Roxanne proves she belongs in the Judgement Day.
• Andrew – Kabuki Warriors
• Dave – Charlotte & Alexa – Charlotte & Alexa have all the juice and they are the team the Women’s Tag Titles need.
• DJ – Raquel & Roxanne
• DPP – Charlotte & Alexa
• Jason – Raquel & Roxanne
• Patrick – Raquel & Roxanne
• Rey – Raquel & Roxanne – Setting up the inevitable Liv/Roxy Mania match.
• Rob – Raquel & Roxanne – Judgement Day hang on before losing to Char & Alexa at SummerSlam.
• Greg – Charlotte & Alexa – I hate making that prediction, because it feels like Roxanne is really just getting started in her Judgment Day run. Granted, they can win them back. But LOL Charlotte Wins. (If Raquel & Roxanne most lose, I’d rather it to be Sol Rica and Zaria.)

Tunney’s Take: Charlotte & Alexa – The money match for SummerSlam is Charlotte and Alexa defending against the Kabuki Warriors.

Chairshot Pick – Raquel & Roxanne 6-4-1

• AJ – Iyo Sky – I don’t think we end the Iyo run just yet. We can have Bianca come back to spark everything but I think Rhea comes up short again.
• Andrew – Rhea Ripley – Rhea breaks her losing streak to Iyo.
• Dave – Rhea Ripley – Iyo has been tremendous, but time for the gold to come home to Mami!
• DJ – Iyo Sky
• DPP – Iyo Sky
• Jason – Iyo Sky
• Patrick – Rhea Ripley
• Rey – Rhea Ripley – Its finally time for Rhea to beat Iyo.
• Rob – Rhea Ripley
• Greg – Rhea Ripley – If Triple H had any real plans for Iyo Sky, she would have had at least one defense between WrestleMania and now. But she didn’t. This could also be a spot for Naomi to cash in.

Tunney’s Take: Rhea Ripley – Mami will hold this title till at least Mania, if not longer.

Chairshot Pick – Rhea Ripley 7-4
