The Sons of Texas are dripping with gold, and none more so than The Natural! Will Dustin hold on and stay a three-belt champion? Or will #TAIGASTYLE make himself a double champion in Chicago?
The introductions are made, the TNT title is raised, and we see who is THE Face of TNT!
The bell rings and the fans rally behind Dustin already. Dustin offers a handshake but Lee kicks it away. The fans boo, but Lee knows this isn’t ROH so it doesn’t matter. The two circle, feel things out, then tie up. Dustin wrenches, hits an ELBOW BREAKER, then hammerlocks. Lee reaches back, but Dustin shrugs the headlock off. Lee squats, squats, then uses the British Escape. The fans do cheer that as the two reset. Dustin and Lee feel things out, the fans rally up, and the two knuckle lock. Lee rolls to wrench and wristlock, then he puts on the pressure. Dustin wrenches back, wrangles Lee, but Lee kips up.
Lee slips around, rolls Dustin, ONE!! Lee keeps Dustin down, BORDER CITY STRETCH! ROPEBREAK, and Lee lets go. Lee taunts Dustin, Shane talks some trash, but the fans boo. Lee shoves Dustin, Dustin shoves Lee, and the two tie up. Dustin headlocks but Lee powers up and out. Dustin RUNS Lee over, then comes back to whip. Dustin drops down, then arm-drags! The fans cheer and Lee gets up in a huff. Dustin dodges to LARIAT Lee and himself up and out to the floor! The fans fire up, Dustin rises, and the fans cheer more. Dustin pounds the steel steps to fire up again, and he brings Lee around. Lee SOBATS!
Lee refreshes the ring count, lines up a shot from the apron, and PENALTY- NO, Dustin blocks! Dustin WRINGS Lee out and onto the apron! The fans cheer as Dustin stands Lee up, hammerlocks the arm, and RAMS Lee into railing! The fans cheer, Dustin brings Lee up, and he SLAMS the bad arm against railing! Dustin CLAWS Lee’s back, puts him in the ring, and wrenches the bad arm again. Lee endures but Dustin straight arm levers to HOTSHOT Lee! Then Dustin arm-drags Lee down! Dustin grinds the arm but Shane coaches Lee. Dustin drops knees on Lee’s arm, then wrenches him again. Lee rolls, wrenches, and then UPPERCUTS!
The fans rally while Dustin goes to the corner. Lee runs up, blocks Dustin’s boot, and puts that leg in the ropes to DRAPING DRAGON SCREW the other leg! Dustin writhes but he manages to stand. Dustin takes a swing but Lee gest around! BODY SHOT, and SHIN BREAKER! Dustin falls in a heap and Lee nods. Lee covers, ONE!! Dustin shows true grit as he bails out and walks off the pain, but Lee mockingly applauds. The fans boo but Lee wants the ring count. The count does start, the fans cheer Dustin on, and Dustin returns to the ring. Lee grabs the leg to DDT the foot! Lee kips up, does his dance, and the fans boo.
Lee drags Dustin around, steps over, and hits the toehold! Lee bends Dustin’s fingers, twists Dustin’s foot, but Dustin kicks free! Dustin fires himself up, the fans are with him, but Lee picks a leg! DRAGON SCREW! Dustin writhes but Lee grabs the fingers! Dustin SLAPS Lee, so Lee SNAPS the fingers! The fans rally while Dustin scrambles away to a corner. Lee runs up, picks a leg, but Dustin CHOPS him away! Lee goes back for the leg and DRAGON SCREWS again! Lee talks trash but the fans boo, and Collision goes picture in picture.
Lee snarls, storms up on Dustin, and he grabs the bad leg to YANK it! Lee has the toehold, he shrugs off Dustin’s attempt at a chinlock, then pushes on the leg! Dustin’s shoulders are down so that’s a cover, ONE as Dustin sits back up. Dustin grabs at Lee again, and Dustin manages an ARMBAR! Lee fights free, both men hurry to their feet, but Lee slips around to CHOP BLOCK! Dustin falls, Lee covers, TWO! Another cover, TWO! Dustin is toughing it out but Lee stays laser focused. Lee storms up on Dustin in the corner, CLAWS Dustin’s back even through his ring gear, and then wraps the bad leg around the ropes. The ref counts, Lee stops at 4, and Lee drags Dustin out to throw him down.
Lee again has the toehold but from a different angle. Dustin endures, has the ROPEBREAK, and Lee lets him go. Dustin bails out but Lee pursues to grabs the leg again. Lee SLAMS the leg against the railing! The fans boo but Lee grins while Dustin writhes. Lee drags Dustin up, puts him in the ring, and Shane helps Lee pop his arm real quick. Lee shakes it out, goes back to the ring, and Collision returns to single picture. Lee runs in at Dustin, and he LARIATS Dustin down! Cover, TWO! The fans cheer as Dustin survives but Lee is annoyed. Lee grabs a leg, the fans rally for Dustin, but Lee DDTS the foot!
Dustin stands up!? He fires up and CHOPS! And kicks! But Lee KICKS the leg! Lee trips Dustin, steps over, but Dustin boots him away! Lee tumbles outside, hurries back in, and he SWEEPS the legs! The fans boo but Lee grins as he watches Dustin writhe. Dustin drags himself up with the ropes, but Lee SWEEPS the legs again! The fans boo but Lee just soaks up that heat. Dustin pounds the mat in frustration, stands back up, but Lee runs in again! Dustin avoids the sweep to ROCK Lee with haymaker after haymaker! Dustin puts Lee in the corner, the fans fire up, and Dustin runs in, only for Lee to BUCKLE SHOT him!
Lee shoves Dustin out, runs in, but into the SNAP POWERSLAM! The fans fire up while both men are down! Shane coaches Lee but the fans rally for Dustin. A standing count starts, and both men slowly rise at 4 of 10. They stands at 6, and Lee fires a forearm! Dustin UPPERCUTS back! Lee fires another forearm! Dustin UPPERCUTS again! Lee KICKS the leg, UPPERCUTS, but Dustin rebounds to SMACK Lee! Lee rebounds, into the atomic drop! Dustin hobbles and Lee runs up to DECK him! Lee huffs ‘n’ puffs as he storms around, and he brings Dustin around to have a Half Bow ‘n’ Arrow! Dustin endures, fights against the pull, but Lee SMASHES the knee!
Lee talks trash, but Dustin ROCKS him! And ROCKS him again! Dustin fires hands but Lee KICKS the bad leg! Lee whips, Dustin hits a DESTROYER!! Lee staggers up, into the dragon sleeper! CROSS RHODES! Cover, ROPEBREAK!! Lee survives by a literal foot and Dustin cannot believe it! The fans rally up as Dustin rises again, and he stands Lee up. Another dragon sleeper, and a SAVING GRACE! Dustin went for broke but the bad leg is holding him back now. Dustin crawls to the cover, TWO!! Lee survives and Dustin fires up again! The fans fire up with him, and Dustin brings Lee up to his feet.
Dustin reels Lee in with a facelock, suplexes, but the bad leg stops him! Lee BUZZSAWS Dustin down!! Cover, TWO!! Dustin survives but Lee has the ANKLE LOCK! Dustin endures, reaches out, but Lee brings him away! GRAPEVINE! The fans boo but Dustin still endures! Dustin flails, but he refuses to give up! Lee stomps away on Dustin’s back, but Dustin drags himself forward to the ROPEBREAK! The fans cheer and Lee is shocked! Lee wants the ref to check Dustin, there’s no way he’s got something left. Lee takes a deep breath, run sin, but Dustin dodges the boot! Lee gives himself shattered dreams, and now Dustin CLAWS Lee’s back!
Dustin sets Lee up in the ropes and the fans fire up! The ref reprimands, Dustin wants to, but the ref stops him! Lee gets free, and he GAMANGIRIS! Cover, ONE?!?! Dustin is all fired up, but Lee fires forearms! Dustin eggs Lee on, Lee fires boxing elbows and then a KICK to the leg! HALF HATCH SLAM! Cover, TWO!! Dustin somehow still has gas in the tank and the fans fire up! Lee roars, the fans boo, but Lee steps through! Dustin cradles him for it, AND WINS!

Chicago cheers on this Son of Texas as he wins this shootout! Shane Taylor is not happy, but now Kyle Fletcher makes his way out here! Well, so does Don Callis. The fans boo as the Don Callis Family brushes STP aside, and Callis says, “Ladies and gentlemen, Kyle Fletcher has something important to say!” The fans boo but Kyle tells Dustin to hold his horses. Kyle is not here to fight him. Kyle doesn’t need to take cheap shots. Look at Dustin and look at Kyle. Kyle already outclasses Dustin in every single way! Chicago tells Kyle to STFU but Callis tells him to ignore that.
Kyle indeed ignores that as he says the only thing he needs is what he is rightfully owed! And that is a 1v1 shot at the TNT Championship! And Kyle refuses to sit back and let Dustin give shots to anyone else! So Dustin better be the fighting champion because Kyle wants his shot next week! Dustin says, “After you talked all that crap about my family last week, you want a shot?” Dustin asks Chicago, should Kyle get the shot? The fans chant “NO! NO! NO!” but Dustin tells Kyle he will get his shot! But it won’t just be any match! Next week, Thursday Night Collision, it will be Dustin VS Kyle… in a CHICAGO STREET FIGHT!
And one more thing: Dustin is your huckleberry, b*tch! The fight is on, but will Dustin win the shootout here in the Windy City? Or will he regret giving Kyle his opportunity so easily?

Juice Robison says he was last here talking about how Ricochet cost The Bang Bang Gang their $200,000. Then in walks Big Bill, red hot, sweatin’ ‘n’ spittin’ everywhere, talking about how Juice did the same to him with how he stuck his nose in Bill’s business. Well, guess what? Tonight, Bill’s business IS Juice’s business. Juice won’t be sticking his nose in, it’ll be his foot up that fat ass! And after tonight, Bill’s dreams in this tournament will be over while Juice & Austin will be one step closer to Forbidden Door and the AEW World Tag Team Championships.
Austin says like Juice was saying, Juice has won gold everywhere but AEW. Tonight, that fixes this! Normally, you’d see Colten Gunn here. But with what was going on last week, Colten looked Austin straight in the eyes and told him he had to finish the fight on his own. Ironically enough, when one brother goes down, another steps up! So whether it is four, three, two, it doesn’t matter! If you ain’t down with the Bang Bang Gang, they’ve got two words for ya: GUNS UP! Austin & Juice are ready to go, but will they be able to cut down The Redwood & Bad Apple? Or will Bill & Keith finally make the Learning Tree proud?

As Tony Schiavone says, sometimes we forget that these bigger than life stars have families of their own. AEW’s heart goes out to the Bolea family, and they wish to say RIP, brother.

At least, Lexy Nair is hoping for a word with the Timeless AEW Women’s World Champion after how she was brutalized by Athena & Billie Starkz last Wednesday night. Oh, Toni comes running in and calls out Athena! “Last Wednesday was the first time I had a woman in my box that I didn’t like. You are the Forever ROH Champion, but I believe you’re confusing length with depth. Because nobody goes as deep as I do! And tonight, you will be facing Alex Windsor~, of whom I have a non-sexual friendship with. And I’d love to see nothing more than for her to take that title away from you! And as for my title, we are in Chi Town, but I am anything but!
“So when you’re ready, sign on the line that is dotted, and I will be waiting. But between you and I, I don’t think you have the ovaries! You say AEW stands for Athena Elite Wrestling, but we are living on Mondo Toni! So sit on it and spin!” Toni in fact spins and runs off again. Lexy is at a loss for words but will Athena’s actions prove louder than words when she makes it through #TitaniumAlex?

AEW returns as Bill & Keith make their entrance, and Keith has ditched the “Bad Apple” nickname in his tron! The Bang Bang Gang makes their entrance next, and the teams sort out. Juice steps up and gets the hometown cheers against Keith. Juice wants Bill but Keith says focus on him. The fans rally, the two tie up, and Keith waistlocks. Juice wrenches out to wristlock, but Keith wrenches to wristlock back. Juice slips through, wrenches, and headlocks. Keith powers up and out, Juice RUNS Keith over, and the fans fire up! Cover, ONE, but Juice arm-drags Keith! Juice clamps on, brings Keith around, and wrenches before he tags Austin.
The Bang Bang Gang double hip, DOUBLE HIP TOSS, and Austin covers, TWO! Austin clamps onto Keith but Keith CLAWS Austin’s eyes! Keith runs, Austin dodges the boot, but Keith dodges the lariat! Keith mule kicks, runs, but Austin dodges again! Austin jukes to hit a NECKBREAKER a la Colten! Austin then dares Bill to get his big ass in here! The fans fire up and Keith tags Bill! Bill smiles as he steps over the ropes to step to Austin. Bill and Austin tie up, Bill SHOVES Austin down, and the fans are torn. Bill taunts Austin, Austin stands, and they tie up again. Bill SHOVES Austin back down, but Austin gets back up.
Austin shoves Bill! The fans fire up, Austin dodges Bill, then slips around, but he can’t get the leg pick! But he does avoid the elbow drop! Austin JABS, JABS, JABS then does the two step, “SUCK IT!” But Bill BOOTS Austin and BLASTS Juice! The fans boo but Bill soaks up the heat. Bill mocks Colten’s bad leg, then YANKS Austin’s! Austin writhes, Bill mocks his pain, and Bill drags Austin around to YANK the leg again! The fans are torn as Bill continues to mock Austin with a hobble. Bill has the leg, lifts Austin and has a HANGING HALF CRAB! The fans rally as Austin endures, but Collision goes picture in picture.
Bill drops Austin, stalks him to the ropes, then drags him over to tag in Keith. Keith stomps Austin, brings Austin up, then ROCKS Austin! Austin sputters, Keith drags him around, and Keith isolates the leg to drop a KNEE on the knee! Cover, ONE! Austin toughs it out, Keith argues the count, but the ref defends it. Keith drags Austin around, has the leg, but Austin resists the turnover, so Keith DDTS the foot! Austin scrambles away to an open corner but Keith steps right on him. Keith digs his heel into the leg, Austin has the ROPEBREAK, and the ref counts. Keith steps away at 4, argues with Juice, and Austin tries to stand, only to hobble and fall.

Collision returns, Keith taunts Juice while Austin writhes on the mat. Austin stands, he ROCKS Bill, then he dodges Keith! Austin falls but he crawls for his corner! The fans rally up harder and harder, but Keith drags Austin back! Austin KICKS Keith away, stands, and LARIATS! The fans fire up while both men are down! Keith bails out and Austin crawls around, but Bill puts Keith in! Bill tags and then BLASTS Juice again! The fans boo but Bill soaks up that heat. Bill mocks Austin going for the tag, then SLAPS him down! Bill drags Austin up to put him in the corner, and Bill UPPERCUTS! Austin sputters in the corner while Bill swaggers around.

Juice LARIATS Keith in the corner, keeps moving, and he CANNONBALLS! Keith sputters, Juice covers, TWO! Keith survives but the fans rally up for Juice. Juice drags Keith up but Keith YANKS him into ropes! Keith distracts the ref and Bill BOOTS Juice down! Keith hits the EXPLODER! Cover, AUSTIN BREAKS IT! The fans fire up and Bill can’t believe it! Austin’s one leg was enough to get him in there! Bill tags in and he brings Juice up.

Lexy Nair is now with Big Bad Shaney T. and asks his thoughts on Lee Moriarty’s loss to Dustin Rhodes. Shane starts to speak but Don Callis steps in first. Callis says he can see Shane is heated, and he’s not all that happy himself. But here’s the deal: Wednesday night, The Young Bucks get in the ring and will advance when they beat those degenerate 1980s punks, The Outrunners! But perhaps The Outrunners don’t even make it to Dynamite if Callis and Shane have their way tonight. Because they are pooling their resources if you will: Callis’ guys and Shane’s Infantry will take out Outrunners and whoever else gets in the way, then win $400K. 300 for Don, 100 for Shane!
Shane says no no no, but Callis leaves before Shane can argue further. Will Shawn Dean & Carlie Bravo still help Hechicero & Lance Archer destroy The Outrunners, Tomohiro Ishii & Hologram?
Best Wrestler Alive Open Challenge: Max Caster VS ???
Once again, Platinum Max is in the ring, and he tells Chicago, “You are lookin’ live at the Best Wrestler Alive!” The fans boo, he literally did this last week. But Caster says he knows things can get very scary in Chicago. But he also knows that the Maximaniacs in “the murder capital of the United States” want to do one thing and one thing only, and that’s chant his name! “Let’s Go, Max, You’re The Best Wrestler Alive! Let’s Go, Max, You’re The Best Wrestler Alive!” But then he tells the fans to keep it down. He knows this is the Windy City, but they all blow! Anyway, let’s get to business! This is the Platinum Max Open Challenge! Put five minutes on the clock!
The clock appears, and it is time to see who can survive five with the Best Wrestler Alive! ANTHONY BOWENS?! Caster is very confused, but mostly because Bowens already beat Caster at this before. Will the 5 Tool Player just smash this one out of the park like he did the last time? Or will Caster find a way to strike Bowens out?
The bell rings and Bowens fires off on Caster! The fans fire up, the ref counts, but the ref has to back Bowens off! Bowens stands Caster up to CHOP, CHOP, CHOP! The ref counts, Bowens stops at 4, and the fans apparently chant “Let’s Go, Max, You’re The Best Wrestler Alive!” Bowens says Caster is NOT the best anything, and that Bowens is THE Pride of Pro-Wrestling! Billy Gunn tells Bowens to focus, keep after Caster. Bowens drags Caster up, CHOPS again, and again, and again! The ref counts but Bowens CHOPS! The fans cheer and Caster scrambles away. Bowens is after Caster and he HAMMERS away on him!
The fans cheer, but we’re already a minute in. Bowens CLUBS Caster down, then he paces around. Bowens picks up Caster’s trademark, and SMASHES it! The fans are a bit torn about that, but Bowens tells Caster he is NOT the best wrestler alive! Bowens drags Caster up, mule kick, Front kick, and then a FAMOUSER! The fans fire up as Bowens aims, SUPERKICK! Bowens then puts up the scissors, Caster rises, and MOLLY WHOP!! Cover, Bowens wins!

Bowens may have hit the homerun, but he used up just over two minutes of the time. And he’s not satisfied, either! He HAMMERS away on Caster! The fans are torn but Daddy Ass THROWS Bowens off Caster! Bowens is stunned while Billy checks Caster. The fans again chant, “Let’s Go, Max, You’re The Best Wrestler Alive!” But wait, Bowens is glaring at Billy now! Billy feels those eyes on him, but Bowens leaves before he does anything he’ll regret. Bowens says he’s the real best wrestler, not POS Caster! The fans boo, but will Bowens calm it down?

Lexy is now with Nick Wayne, Mother Shayna & Kip Sabian as she wonders if they’re even The Patriarchy. Shayna says not now, and never again. Nick says when you start to become the man of a house and a leader of men, you- get interrupted! AR Fox brings up Nick saying he was done talking, but here he is, still talking! See, Fox came to Chicago for a fight. So how about Nick & Kip VS Fox and a friend. What does Fox want? Another picture stapled to his face? Kip keeps Nick calm, they shouldn’t give Fox the satisfaction. If Fox wants to lose, then let him lose. Oh, we’ll see who loses. Sup, Shayna. Shayna says hey to Fox, and Fox heads out. But who will join Fox in a fight with The Prodigy & Mr. Superbad?

Archer tags Dean and he CLUBS Truth to the corner. Dean CHOKES Truth on the ropes, Archer CLOBBERS Hologram & Ishii on the outside, and then Dean whips Truth into the STP corner. Bravo joins in as they mug Truth but the ref counts. Dean backs off and argues with the ref, but that lets Bravo CHOKE Truth behind the ref’s back! Stokely says he wanted to call out the “good guy” hiring GOONS to do his dirty work! Pathetic! Isn’t Cope supposed to be a hero? And don’t heroes fight their own battles? Don’t heroes fight someone their own size? Then why is Cope chasing after Stokely every week? Stoke says Hurt Syndicate attacked FTR after FTR’s grueling match, and FTR still stood tall! Now imagine if FTR was 100%! Imagine when FTR wins the tournament, goes to London, and become ELEVEN-TIME tag team champions!!
But Stoke knows there are two people who will try to stop them after advancing tonight in Juice Robinson & Austin Gunn. Stoke tells Austin that if his brother got hurt, the last thing Stoke would be doing is look for a replacement. And how does it feel for Juice to be a sidepiece? Thank you, Stat, for taking me out of that 4 Way and stopping me from losing to Thekla, or worse, getting spit on again by Julia.

Athena roars, then runs in, SHOTGUN! Alex hits LED barriers! Athena grins and the fans lose their minds over that collision! Athena drags Alex up, they go to the barriers, and the fans fire up as the action is right in front of them! Alex fires body shots and forearms, but Athean fiers back!
The fans rally, they go back and forth, and then Alex DECKS Athean! Alex steadies herself, but Athena gets under! POWERBOMB to the floor! Athena puts Alex back in the ring, goes up a corner, and takes aim… for the O-FACE!! Cover, Athena wins!

Toni puts Athena in the ring, and THESZ PRESS! Toni rains down fast hands, then shows off her belt! The fans fire up for the close-up! SWEET HIP MUSIC in the corner! And then the TONI’S CLASSIC MOVE! Athena flails as she’s caught int he chicken wing, but Billie SMACKS Toni with the clipboard!
The fans boo but Athena says this ends tonight! Billie stands Toni up and Athena climbs! But then Alex is in! She SHOVES Billie and Athena has to jump over them both! Athena is furious, and now it’s a brawl! Athena and Toni, Alex and Billie, and Chicago loves it! Billie bails, Toni HAMMERS away on Athena! Athena runs away, Toni & Alex stand tall! They also shake hands on it! Will Toni be ready for whenever and wherever Athena might try to strike? Or will the Fallen Goddess find a way to eclipse the Storm?
My Thoughts:
A great Collision, but also a talkative one. At least, it sure felt like they talked more than they have lately. Good promo from Stokely to call out Cope, but you can bet he’ll just get himself speared by Cope all over again on Dynamite. Good promo from Kris Statlander to passive aggressively call out Willow and put herself over. Can’t be sure if this is Heel Stat or just Face With Attitude. But I feel like we’re going to get a new Kris VS Willow feud that will give us just awesome matches until they figure out if these two are friends, enemies, contenders, or some combination therein.
Good promo from Juice & Austin to help us understand what happened to Colten, and they had a very good match with Bill & Keith. Good win for Juice & Austin, but I do feel like Stokely’s right, FTR is gonna find a way to win one way or another so that they go to the tournament finals. I like that the combo of Brody & Bandido is gonna try their hands at the tournament, but I feel like the Don Callis Family will keep them from winning since we’re supposed to get Bandido VS Hechicero for the ROH World Championship anyway. Plus, Ricochet & GOA are building up as a Heel trio, Kaun & Liona should at least be semifinalists in the tournament.
Plus, there’s half a chance The Outrunners actually make it through The Bucks, and it’d be fitting for a Faces VS Heels match-up on both sides of the bracket. Callis being condescending with Shane Taylor was a good promo, and of course Callis thinks his guys get the majority of that prize money. Great match from Dustin VS Moriarty but naturally (no pun intended) Dustin retained to give us Dustin VS Fletcher next week. That Chicago Street Fight is gonna be awesome stuff. And great 8 Man Tag, a little surprised the Faces did win, but it seems to feed into this “Conglomeration Reunion” idea Kyle O’Reilly has. It’s a bit fitting given Paragon isn’t at full power without Adam Cole, so maybe we play up Kyle trying to blend the two teams together and it fails.
Very good stuff with Caster, Bowens and Billy Gunn. Going from last week with Billy setting this up as Bowens’ way of getting back on track, it makes sense. Bowens beat Caster so fast last time, but then he gets a little sidetracked with his anger. And he did a good job playing off how Chicago actually did want to chant for Caster there. This could make for quite the double turn if Caster and Bowens have one more match against each other, and imagine how the live crowd will react if Caster gets his first win in 2025 off of Bowens. Bowens would have a meltdown and end up a pretty heated Heel right away.
Very good trios debut for “The Triangle of Madness,” and perhaps I misheard some of their promo last time where they were introducing themselves. I guess they’re already ditching “Sisters of Sin,” that was probably just for Julia & Skye as a duo. Neither name is really the best, but the team itself is still really good. Aminata wanting after them made sense, but then Megan attacking was an interesting move. Not sure where any of this goes when TK can’t even get that ROH Women’s Pure Championship tournament going after promising it over two months ago.
Very good promo from Fox with the former Patriarchy, and a very good tag match from Fox & Angelico VS Nick & Kip, but that was all clearly just to help Nick & Kip get going as a team. I’m sure Nick will keep using the Killswitch as his finisher until they’re ready for Christian to return and team with Cope. Very good promo from Toni to call out Athena ahead of the main event, and that was an awesome main event from Athena VS Windsor. Naturally, Billie got involved and helped Athena win, but I didn’t think Athena was gonna lose her title on TV. Great save by Toni and great brawl from Toni & Alex VS Athena & Billie. I feel like we should then get a tag match of Toni & Alex VS Athena & Billie to help build the title match. Whenever it is we get
I do appreciate that while Hogan was never directly connected to AEW, he was in spirit because of how he and WCW was the framework for what AEW is doing now in being the alternative to WWE. Schiavone was in WCW for that era, he would know Hogan as he was in that time, so it was nice that he was the one to talk about Hogan’s legacy and influence while more or less smoothing over the things people still resent Hogan for. Once again, #ThankYouHogan, RIP.

Windsor runs up and LARIATS Marina down! The fans fire up while Marina bails out. Windsor goes to the apron, CANNONBALLS to the floor, and the fans cheer that goal! Windsor puts Marina in the ring, CLOBBERS Marina, then rains down fists! It was a wonderful night for Jungle Jack back at Revolution as he won this title in his hometown of Los Angeles! But now he defends his title in Vancouver, against the Don Callis Family’s Dunkzilla! Will Davis refill the family’s treasury with this gold? Or will Dynasty be all about that Tarzan Life?
The introductions are made, the belts are raised, and we see if Jack can stay golden!
The bell rings and the fans rally up for Jack. Davis and Jack tie up, and Davis THROWS Jack to a corner! The fans rally, Jack says okay, hold on, and he resets with Davis. Jack slips around, headlocks, but Davis powers up and out to then CLOBBER Jack! Jack flounders away and asks for another breather. The fans rally as Jack comes back, dodges Davis, and KICKS, KICKS, and CHOPS! Jack shoves, Davis shoves back, but Jack flips up and over Davis to then DROPKICK him out! The fans fire up as Jack aims, PLANCHAS, but Davis catches Jack! The fans fire up as Davis pops Jack up and brings him around the way, only for Jack to POST Davis first!
The fans fire up as Jack then uses the post to swing and DROPKICK Davis again! The fans cheer as Jack shoves Davis into the ring. Jack HOTSHOTS Davis, goes up top, but Davis snatches Jack for the ROCKET LAUNCHER! Jack tumbles away but Davis digs his forearms into Jack! Davis runs to SLIDING FOREARM! Jack sputters in the corner while Davis snarls. Davis drags Jack to center, kneeling cover, TWO! Cocky as it was, it almost kept Jack down. Davis kicks Jack around, scoops and SLAMS, then he SENTONS on top! Davis pushes Jack to a cover, TWO! Davis clamps onto Jack with a chinlock, and even digs his knee in.
The fans rally as Jack endures, and Jack fights up to fire body shots. Davis KNEES low, then whips Jack to ropes. Jack ducks the boot, then JAWBREAKERS back! Davis runs up but Jack DUMPS him out! Jack then goes up, up, and ARIHARA MOONSAULTS! Down goes Davis and the fans fire up with Jack! Jack high-fives some fans, drags Davis up and brings him around. Jack shoves Davis into the ring, the fans rally up, and Jack climbs again. But Davis grabs Jack again! Davis climbs up this time, but Jack SLAPS and CHOPS Davis! Then he CLAWS Davis’s eyes before he HEADBUTTS Davis down! Then Jack DIVING-
NO, Jack has to roll through as Davis dodges! Jack ELBOWS Davis, ROLLING ELBOWS, then hits SLICED BREAD! Cover, TWO! The fans rally as Davis survives. Jack nods and he brings Davis up. The fans rally, Jack reels Davis in, but Davis is too hefty for that! Jack CLUBS away on Davis, and he still tries! Jack lifts Davis, but Davis powers up to BACKDROP Jack out! Davis runs and BLASTS Jack off apron and into railing! Jack slumps down but the fans rally again. Davis goes out to fetch Jack, brings him around, and puts him on the apron. The ring count climbs, Davis stands Jack up, and he suplexes for an APRON FALCON ARROW!!
The fans lose their minds while Jack dangles off the apron! Davis shoves Jack in the ring, covers, TWO!! The fans cheer as Jack somehow survives! Davis is furious, and he short arm LARIATS! Cover, TWO! Davis gut wrenches but Jack grabs a leg! The fans rally but Davis fires knees into Jack. Davis CHOP LARIATS Jack down! The fans boo but Davis hauls Jack back up! Tag to Megan and Lena runs side to side, BOOT! Megan adds a BOOT! Then a GERMAN SUPLEX! Hyan flounders but Megan covers, TWO! The fans fire up as Hyan and Lena stagger, but Megan tags in! Megan runs up on Hyan, but Hyan DUMPS Megan out! Hyan hurries for her corner, but Megan runs to BLAST Maya! The fans boo, but Megan whips Hyan back into the Divine corner. Megan CHOPS Hyan, runs up, but into a BOOT! Hyan ELBOWS Lena away, then she dodges Megan to POST her! Megan and Hyan are both down while the fans rally up! Megan and Hyan crawl, hot tags to Lena and Maya!
The fans fire up as Maya ducks under, UP KICKS, then SOBATS and BOOTS! Lena just scowls, but Maya ducks ‘n’ dodges to tilt-o-whirl RANA Lena to a corner! Maya UPPERCUTS, whips, but Lena reverses! Maya goes up, up, and MISSILE DROPKICKS! Maya handsprings up and the fans cheer her on! Maya runs in and BACK BODY BLOCKS! Megan runs up but is sent into Lena! Maya BACK BODY BLOCKS again, then tags Hyan! Hyan tunes up, roars and runs around the world for a KNEE! Maya goes up, BLOCKBUSTER LEG SWEEP COMBO! Cover, TWO! Lena survives but Hyan coordinates with Maya.
Hyan tags Maya, they get Lena up again, and Maya runs, only for Lena to ELBOW Hyan, BOOT Maya, and HOOK KICK Hyan! Tag to Megan and she brings Maya up. Maya JAWBREAKERS, then she and Hyan double whip! Megan reverses, kicks Maya, and fireman’s carries Hyan! Maya jumps on but Megan just adds her to it! FALL AWAY SLAM SAMOAN DROP COMBO! The fire up again, and Megan LEAPING LARIATS! Cover, TWO! Tag to Lena and Divine Dominion get Maya up. But Hyan with the save! Lena ROCKS Hyan, Megan TOSSES Hyan aside, then they get Maya again! The fans fire up while all four women are down! Maya hurries to tag Hyan back in, and they run up on the champs to DOUBLE DROPKICK! The Divine Dominion tumble outside, and Maya holds the ropes open for Hyan! Hyan DIVES through the five hole to take out Divine Dominion! Then she sets them back up so Maya can ASAI MOONSAULT! Down they go again! The fans are thunderous while Hyan & Maya put Lena in. But Lena wrenches and BOOTS Hyan! Hyan ROCKS Lena! Then she counter punches again and again and again! Hyan CHOPS, runs, but into the BOOT! Lena reels Hyan into the fireman’s carry, but Hyan fights free!

The fans fire up, and Okada asks for the tag. Konosuke tags Okada in, and they work together to double whip and DOUBLE SHOULDER TACKLE! Okada adds an ELBOW DROP, then Konosuke adds an ELBOW DROP!
The fans cheer Okada and Konosuke as they shake hands! Okada scoops Nick, SLAMS him down, then slingshot SENTONS from the apron! Okada mocks The Bucks’ signature pose, then stalks Nick to the corner. Okada tags Konosuke, they double whip but Nick blocks a shot to CHOP! Nick goes up and over Okada to then “LUCHA LIBRE~!” FLYING ARM-DRAG RANA COMBO! The fans fire up while Nick tags Matt. Matt whips, Okada reverses, but Matt goes up and over. Nick GAMANGIRIS before helping Matt with the SLICED BREAD! Then SHINING WIZARD! Konosuke storms in, but into double kicks!
The Bucks double whip, but Konosuke dodges! Konosuke waistlocks Matt, Matt switches to shove Konosuke and Nick waistlocks. Matt runs up, but Konosuke BOOTS him! Konosuke switches, Nick switches, Matt runs up, SUNSET GERMAN SUPLEX! Then The Bucks DOUBLE LARIAT Konosuke up and out! The fans fire up while Okada regroups with Takeshita. Nick and Matt work together, MONKEY FLIP ASAI MOONSAULT! The fans are thunderous again but Callis gets pissed! Nick drags Konosuke up and puts him in the ring. Matt scoops, Nick aims from the apron, but Okada hurries in! Nick fakes the springboard to make Okada whiff on his dropkick!

Christian fights to turn things around on Dax, KILLSWITCH! Cover, but Cash breaks it! Christian snatches Cash at the ropes, but Cash HOTSHOTS the bad arm! The fans boo and the ref reprimands, but Cash whips Christian into railing! Cash leaves Christian behind, soaks up the heat, and he tags himself in. Cash goes out to SMACK Christian’s bad arm off the railing! And then he swings Christian into the corner, and he SLAMS the bad arm into the post! The fans boo but Stoke likes what he sees! Cash drags Christian back to the corner, the fans taunt FTR about Christian and their moms, but Cash SLAMS the bad arm into the post again!
Dax talks trash on the fans, Stoke flexes like he’s doing something, and Cash tags Dax in. Dax has Christian’s arm and SLAMS it off the desk! The fans boo, the ring count climbs, but Dax asks Christian how it feels. Dax SMASHES the arm off the desk again! Dax puts Christian in so he can stomp away on the arm! Dax drops a leg on the arm, then taunts Cope. The fans boo more but Dax drags Christian up. Dax RAMS Christian into the corner, tags Cash, and FTR mugs Christian! The fans boo, the ref counts, but Cash snapmares Cash for a top wristlock. Christian endures as Cash puts on the pressure, and the fans rally up.
Christian fights up, even as Cash holds him back. Cash CLUBS Christian, reels him in, but Christian BACKDROPS free! Cash hurries, hot tag to Dax! Dax BLASTS Cope off the apron! Then DDT on Christian! Cover, TWO! Dax argues the count but the count was fair. Dax drags Christian up, whips him to the corner, then CHOPS! Dax hoists Christian up top, and Cash climbs the other corner. Christian fights the suplex, fires body shots, but Cash runs up! Christian BOOTS Cash down, then BITES Dax’s forehead! Christian shoves Dax down, then DIVING HEADBUTTS! Dax endures as Cope drags him from the ropes and puts on the pressure! Dax digs deep, but Cope clamps on with a CROSSFACE! Stokely is stunned, but Cash crawls in! Christian jumps on him for a CROSSFACE!! The fans are thunderous as FTR endures, but Cash BITES the bad arm! Then he hauls Christian up to SLAM him onto Cope!
The fans boo but FTR is still in this! Christian flounders out of the ring, the standing count is on Cope and Dax, but Cash grabs a title belt?! The fans boo as Cash sneaks it over. The ref sees that, but Christian grabs the belt, too! They tug-o-war, but Cope rolls Dax up! TWO, BELT SHOT!!! Dax hurries to cover, TWO?!?! The fans are thunderous but FTR is furious! Cash CLOBBERS Christian, then he and Dax slap Christian around. Shove and SHATTER- NO, Cope NECKBREAKERS Cash! Christian slips free, shoves, and Cope helps hit the 3D!! Cover, TWO!! Cope, the crimson mask thick already, is shocked as that didn’t finish this!
The ref checks Cope, he seems alright to continue, and Cope reels Dax in. But Stoke YANKS Christian from the apron! The fans boo, Cope chases Stoke, and they go into the ring! FTR is there for SHATTER MACHINE!! Cover, but Christian hurries to SHOVE Stoke into the ring! And just enough that Stoke bumps into Dax! The fans cheer as Dax now gets upset with Stoke! The fans tell Stoke he done messed up, but Stoke says the ref is to blame for not watching Christian! Stoke shoves the ref, the ref SHOVES Stoke! And he SMACKS Dax! COPE SPEARS DAX!! Cover, Cash CLOBBERS Cope! And then PILEDRIVER!!
The ref reprimands but Cash bails out. Now Cash grabs a chair and brings it over! But Christian snatches that, too! Cash wants Christian to show mercy, but then Stoke grabs the chair?! Christian SHOVES Stoke into the post, but then Cash POSTS Christian! Cash TOSSES Christian into the timekeeper’s area! Cash calls to Dax, they regroup, and they have Cope all to themselves! The fans cheer Cope on, and Cope stands up to throw hands! The fans fire up as Cope fights 2v1, but then he slows down! Dax kicks low, then he and Cash fire SUPERKICK after SUPERKICK, taunting The Young Bucks, too! DOUBLE SUPERKICKS!
FTR drags Cope up, F T R TRIGGER misses! Cope then runs to DOUBLE SPEAR!! The fans are thunderous as everyone is down! Stokely is losing his mind over this, but he coaches FTR to get back in this. Cope goes to a corner, he rises up again, and the fans cheer him on! Cope runs up, but Cash sunset flips the spear! Cope rolls through, but stands up into SHATTER MACHINE!! Cover, FTR WINS!

Ciampa runs up and BOOTS Rush down! Ciampa stomps a mudhole into Rush, and he doesn’t have to stop because there are technically no disqualifications here! Ciampa runs to BOOT WASH! And now we add the third man, BANDIDO! The fans cheer as the Most Wanted ROH World Champion is now aiming for another belt! Bandido dodges Ciampa, shoves him to the apron, and BOOTS him! Bandido gets in and SUPERKICKS Rush! The fans cheer as Bandido then builds speed and FLIES out onto Ciampa! The fans fire up with Bandido as he goes back to the ring, and he runs up on Rush for another SUPERKICK!
The fans cheer Bandido on as he aims again. Bandido runs up to CANNONBALL Rush, a shoutout to Brody King! The fans bark with Bandido, then he drags Rush to the drop zone. Bandido goes right up top, takes him, and gives some Latino Heat! FROG SPLASH! Cover, Ciampa breaks it! Ciampa THROWS Bandido into buckles, then brings down the kneepads! Bailey springboards to ASAI MOONSAULT Rush! Then Bailey goes back up, bumps Ciampa off buckles, and climbs up top! MISSILE DROPKICK! Bailey kips up, the fans fire up, and Bailey SOBATS! AX KICKS! But don’t worry when Will breaks your neck, because I promise I will put Marina right next to you.”
Jamie tells Thekla that she must admit, Thekla’s doing pretty well for herself. Jamie honestly didn’t think Thekla would get this far! AEW International Championship: Kazuchika Okada w/ The Don Callis Family VS Myron Reed!
On Wednesday, the deal was struck that if The Rainmaker & Alpha work together at Dynasty against The Young Bucks, Double or Nothing would see Rainmaker VS Alpha for this title. But does that mean Okada is already overlooking the third Rascal? Or will Okada use Myron to send a message to everyone, including Takeshita?
The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see who lights it up!
Callis joins commentary and says that this match is just to tie up loose ends, and that “this green headed little punk is gonna get his ass handed to him by the great Rainmaker, Okada.” The bell rings and the fans rally for Okada as he circles with Reed. They tie up, are in a deadlock, but Okada’s height gives him the leverage. They go to the ropes, Okada lets off slowly, but then he ROCKS Reed with forearms! Okada CLUBS Reed to a corner, stomps away on him, then stops as the ref counts. Okada runs corner to corner, but Reed dodges to counter punch! And counter punch! Okada THROWS Reed to the corner, then stomps away!
Okada CLUBS Reed, then runs the ropes to LARIAT Reed up and out! Reed lands safe on the apron, though, and he dodges Okada to GUILLOTINE LEG DROP! Reed goes up, up, but Okada avoids the leap! Okada blocks the superkick, but not the DRAGON WHIP! Reed keeps moving, and he springboard DROPKICKS! Cover, ONE! Okada bails out but Reed builds speed, only for Okada to slide in! Reed slides under the boot to SUPERKICK again! Reed runs up, but Okada puts him on the apron. Reed jumps right back in, but Okada puts him right up top! DROPKICK and Reed tumbles to the floor! The fans rally and Okada grins while Collision goes picture in picture.
Okada takes his time going outside to fetch Reed. Okada RAMS Reed into railing, then lets Reed slump down while he “apologizes” to the front row. Okada refreshes the ring count, kicks Reed low, then DDTS him on the floor! Okada brings Reed up again, puts him in the ring, then stalks him to ropes. Okada stands Reed up, bumps him off buckles, then bumps him off more buckles. Okada goes to a third corner for a third buckle bump, then flips the fans off for wanting the full set! Okada grins as he trolls the fans, and he drags Reed up. Okada ELBOWS Reed in the corner, and Collision goes to break.
Collision returns as Okada eggs Reed on, daring him to take a shot. Reed fires a forearm, but then Okada kicks low and DDTS hard! Cocky cover, ONE! Reed is tougher than that but Okada drags him up for a scoop. Okada SLAMS Reed, goes to the corner, and he climbs up top. Standard formula says MACHO ELBOW, but onto knees! Reed gets Okada in the ghost pin, TWO! Okada kicks low, then suplexes, but into STUN-DOG MILLIONAIRE! The fans rally up while both men are down! Reed and Okada rise, Reed CLOBBERS Okada again and again! Reed whips, Okada reverses, then Okada ducks the boot!
Okada blocks the superkick, avoids the sweep, but Reed avoids the boot! Reed goes Matrix to avoid the lariat, and he PELES! Okada staggers away and the fans fire up! Reed runs corner to corner, but he blocks boots first! Reed puts Okada in the ropes, ENZIGIRIS, then goes out to slingshot and GUILLOTINE LEG DROP! Cover, TWO! Okada survives but Reed is not dismayed. Callis tells Okada to execute Reed in Japanese, but Reed FLIES! Down goes Okada and the fans fire up with Reed! Callis is upset but Reed puts Okada in the ring. Reed counter punches Okada, then slingshots, but Okada catches him! REVERSE NECKBREAKER!
The fans rally as Okada brings Reed back up. Okada scoops and SLAMS Reed, and he tries the standard formula again. Okada aims for the MACHO ELBOW! Direct hit this time, and then Okada winds up the Rainmaker MIDDLE FINGER! Okada brings Reed up, around, but Reed fires elbows! Reed runs, but into the DROPKICK! Okada drags Reed up, gut wrenches, but Reed fights free! Reed fireman’s carries to swing Okada onto the ropes for the DRAPING FLATLINER! The fans fire up again as Reed builds speed, and he FLING CUTTERS to the floor!! The fans go nuts for that wild risk Reed just took, but Reed gets Okada back in the ring.
Reed aims, springboards, and 450 SPLASHES, but onto knees! Cover, TWO! Reed survives but Okada hauls him up! Ripcord and RAIN- NO,M Reed wheelbarrows to victory roll, TWO! Okada is up, he ducks a lariat to DISCUS- NO, Reed goes Matrix again! But Okada stops the stunner, pops Reed up, TOMBSTONE PILEDRIVER! Okada ripcords to RAINMAKER!! Cover, Okada wins!

The Rainmaker got more than he expected out of Myron Reed, but he is still on top as a champion! And with that, will Okada and Takeshita take down The Young Bucks for their mutual best friend, Kyle Fletcher?

Willow Nightingale returned backstage, victorious as AEW TBS Champion, and she says, “Oh my gawd! Okay, Queen Aminata, tonight, Dynamite, she brought it! On Collision this past week, Shida, she brought it! These girls are coming back, they’re making me work, but it’s all good, because I am still the Face of TBS! Your TBS Champion, Willow Nightingale! And I’m excited, I’m happy, arms wide open, welcoming these girls back. Tony Schiavone was out there calling me the Comeback Killer.
“So if you’re home right now, if you’re recovering from an injury, if you’re needing to rediscover yourself a little bit, take some time away… I’m here waiting. TBS Championship will on be the line, anywhere, any place. Come and try and take it.” The Babe with the Power also has the confidence, but will this unique open challenge come back to bite her?
Divine Dominion speaks.
Lena Kross says, “Holding these titles means we are the best. That we set the standard for the Women’s Tag Team Division. And somehow, Hyan & Maya have caught our attention as they desperately try to rise from the bottom. Admirable. But what makes you think you belong in the same realm as us?” Megan Bayne says, “Now, now. We are gracious champions. So here’s your gift. This Sunday, Dynasty: Zero Hour, we grant you the opportunity to step into our domain, and fight not just for the AEW Women’s Tag Team Championships, but for your honor. But understand this: You are beneath us. So now the only question is, can you survive long enough to keep us entertained?”

Thekla & Marina Shafir VS The Brawling Birds!
The Toxic Spider and The Problem each have their battles with Jamie Hayter & Alex Windsor at Dynasty, and we all know no one out of these four gives any F’s about how hard they have to fight to win. Will the AEW Women’s World Champion and the Death Riders’ femme fatale have all the momentum on their side? Or will this truly be an example of two birds, one stone?
The teams sort out, but then Thekla & Marina just attack The Birds! The ref reprimands but the fans cheer as they are indeed brawling! Jamie CLUBS away on Thekla, Windsor and Marina scrap, but then Thekla & Marina kick low. They TOSS The Birds out, then storm out after them. Thekla CLUBS Jamie, Marina sends Windsor into barriers, and then Marina CHOPS! Thekla SMACKS Jamie off the apron, Marina SAYANAGIS Windsor, but then Jamie THROWS Thekla into the railing! This isn’t even a match yet because there was no bell! Marina whips Windsor hard into railing, but then Jamie storms over!
Jamie CLUBS Marina, stomps her into the corner, and now Windsor brawls with Thekla! Windsor RAMS Thekla, BOOTS Marina, but Thekla KICKS Jamie! Marina KNEES Windsor, Thekla sends Jamie into railing, and Thekla soaks up the cheers and jeers. Thekla says the barrier is sturdy, and Marina tells the ref to take it easy. Thekla CHOKES Jamie with the padding, and Marina full nelsons Windsor to make her watch. Thekla SMACKS Jamie off the desk! Thekla asks commentary how they’re doing tonight, and she pretends to tap a wristwatch, saying it is only a matter of time. Marina CLUBS Windsor, then UPPERCUTS her down!
The ref is getting fed up with this, but Marina finally goes to the ring. But Windsor reels her back out for a WHEELBARROW SLAM off the apron! Jamie suplexes Thekla hard on the floor! Windsor puts Marina in, the bell finally rings, and this is finally on record! Jamie sends Thekla into railing, then hurries back to her corner. Windsor HAMMERs away on Marina, CHOPS her, then Jamie joins in with CHOPS! The fans cheer as The Birds CHOP, CHOP, and then they DOUBLE DOUBLE CHOP Thekla! Marina storms up to DOUBLE CHOP the Birds! Then she KICKS Jamie down, BOOTS Windsor aside, and bumps Jamie off buckles.
Thekla BOOTS Windsor, Marina THROWS Jamie, and Marina waistlocks Windsor for a GERMAN SUPLEX! The fans rally while Marina sucker punches Jamie, and Collision goes picture in picture.
Marina stalks Windsor, KICKS her around, taunts her, then kicks her again. Marina drags Windsor up, whips her to the corner, then fires body shots. Tag to Thekla and she CLAWS Windsor’s face! The ref counts, Thekla stops, but then Thekla drags Windsor up. Windsor fires body shots, ROCKS Thekla, then brings her around. Thekla fires body shots, brings Windsor around again, and cravats for a snapmare. Thekla CLUBS Windsor, covers, TWO! Windsor toughs it out but Thekla drags her up. Windsor fires body shots but Thekla CLUBS her back down! Thekla drags Windsor up, bumps her off buckles, then tags Marina.
Marina BLASTS Jamie off the apron, then brings Windsor up for a SAYANAGI! Cover, TWO! Another cover, TWO! A third cover, TWO! Marina holds Windsor down while Thekla sneaks around the outside and YANKS Jamie down! Marina anchors Windsor’s legs but Windsor kicks at her. Marina cartwheels around to then BOOT Windsor! Marina kneels on Windsor for a cocky cover, TWO! Marina KICKS Windsor int he back, watches her writhe, then brings her up. Marina whips and KICKS Windsor down! Collision returns to single picture while Marina soaks up the heat. Marina stands Windsor up, whips again, but Windsor grabs the ropes!
Marina KICKS Windsor again, then winds up, only for Windsor to dodge! Marina gets stuck in the ropes and Windsor KICKS Marina’s legs! Windsor turns Marina around to CHPO, CHOP, and CHOP! Windsor runs but Thekla kicks low! Thekla whips, Windsor dodges, and Windsor SHOTGUNS Marina! Windsor then bobs ‘n’ weaves with Thekla to ROCK her! And then DRAPING DDT on Marina! The fans fire up as Windsor crawls, hot tag to Hayter! Jamie BLASTS Thekla, then she GERMAN SUPLEXES Marina! And GERMAN SUPLEX! And a third GERMAN SUPLEX! The fans fire up as Jamie CLUBS away on Marina!
Jamie runs but Marina dodges the boot! Marina shoves Jamie to the corner, then runs up, but into an ELBOW! Jamie BOOTS Marina, goes up, and MISSILE DROPKICKS! Jamie just manages to hit Marina, and she pushes Marina around, only for Marina to counter with a GUILLOTINE FACELOCK! But Jamie pushes back to a cover, TWO!! Marina lets Jamie go in time, and BOOTS her right down! Tag to Thekla and Thekla storms up on Jamie. Thekla mocks Jamie as she scuffs her, then BOOTS her down! Jamie swings, Thekla dodges, and Thekla tilt-o-whirls to the IRON OCTOPUS! Jamie endures, fights around, but Marina brings them back!
The ref has to keep Windsor from storming in, but that means Thekla and Marina get away with this! The ref finally sees, Marina lets go, but she also intercepts Windsor! Standing toehold, but then Windsor BOOTS Marina into Thekla! Jamie hits a BACKBREAKER on Thekla! Marina gets around Jamie to GERMAN SUPLEX! Windsor LARIATS Marina! Thekla SPIDER SPEARS Windsor! Then Thekla dodges Jamie to ROCK her! Jamie HEADBUTTS Thekla! All four women are down and the fans are thunderous! Thekla crawls, calls to Marina, but Jamie does the same with Windsor. Hot tags to Marina and Windsor!
Windsor runs up, Marina dodges and fires off forearms! Marina tells Windsor to do better before she ROCKS her! Windsor ROCKS Marina and tells her to bring it! The CHOPS start flying and the fans fire up! Windsor fires forearms now, then runs, but into a mule kick! And front kick! Windsor rebounds to DECK Marina! Tag to Jamie, and Windsor lifts Marina! Jamie runs, but Thekla trips her! Thekla drags Jamie out while Marina BELL CLAPS Windsor! MOTHER’S MILK!! Jamie DECKS Thekla, storms back in, and Windsor stomps a foot! HEADBUTT from Windsor to Marina, and then TWO BIRDS ONE STONE!! Cover, Birds win!!
Winners: The Brawling Birds, by pinfall
It wasn’t easy, but The Birds managed to solve The Problem! Wait, is Marina smiling? Is she just that excited to have another fight like this with Iron Will Windsor? Will Jamie make sure Thekla gets a real taste of Hayterade? Or will Thekla make sure AEW stays toxic?
My Thoughts:
A great go-home episode of Collision, and of course they had three different post-Dynamite promo segments to add some final touches on things. Good promos from United Empire and Death Riders, and Garcia having to have the last word makes me wonder. Will Garcia try and help Moxley despite Continental Rules? Will Garcia cost Moxley the title because of that? They have yet to even tease such a thing in the history of this title and the Continental Rules, this could be the time to do it. But at the same time, Moxley VS Ospreay having a real finish, even a 20 minute time limit finish, would be more favorable for the fans.
A title change here tonight is really surprising. At the same time, Mistico was a TRIPLE champion between AEW and CMLL, so something had to give. But The Dogs turning right around to face Cassidy, Roddy, and I can only assume a returning Kyle O’Reilly, are The Dogs going to be transitional champions to The Conglomeration? That’d be pretty wild, but would also compel a renewed rivalry between Dogs and Conglomeration going towards Double or Nothing and beyond. For that matter, maybe Hurt Syndicate finding a new member is something they build towards DON, as they simply did a squash match win to get them going again.
Kris & Shida of course won their match, but this seems to be a vehicle for a feud, or at least Shida’s Heel turn. Mina and Harley had a very fun promo, especially with Harley chugging that drink. I don’t know if Mina & Harley become a duo, or they get in on the story with Kris and Shida to build up the midcard, but Mina and Harley both know how to be hilarious so this will be a lot of fun. Good promos from Maya & Hyan as well as Divine Dominion, but clearly Maya & Hyan are being fed to Megan & Lena to build their reign. Though, it is wild to think Maya & Hyan are getting this moment at all from the great work they’re doing in ROH.
Rush VS Bowens was great stuff, especially for Bowens bringing out his aggression, but Rush winning out was a given. I really do mean it when I say Ciampa and Rush could just be the TNT Championship match on its own, but the Casino Gauntlet will be a lot of fun, as it always is. Not sure what’s going on with “Bowens wants to be in The Opps” since we haven’t seen Hook in a minute. And that Acclaimed reunion slow burn went ice cold, not sure why TK didn’t/hasn’t see the road ahead for it. He could even be using The Opps as part of it, where Caster is also trying to prove he has ruthless aggression. But just as they’d been teasing before, Caster and Bowens would see they’re better together, no one else needed, and boom, Acclaimed is back!
The Bucks VS Clon y Hechi was a great match, perhaps better than it needed to be, but that’s also par for the course with AEW. Okada VS Reed was also great, but sadly a forgone conclusion when they gave us that deal within The Don Callis Family. Bucks have momentum, Okada has momentum, Konosuke has momentum, the tag match could go either way, but all with the purpose of building Okada VS Takeshita. And great main event tag from Brawling Birds VS Thekla & Windsor. Marina taking the loss protects Thekla, but I feel she’ll find a way to retain against Jamie. Marina VS Windsor can go either way, since it’s non-title and is kinda more about the larger Death Riders story.
