Wait, SAP storms in and turn Senior & Junior around! Senior is ready to fight, but SAP offer the handshakes. Senior & Junior are wary, but they accept. The Code of Honor is upheld and the fans cheer!
Bandido speaks.
“Takeshita. I heard your challenge. And here is my answer: LET’S DO IT! When you step into my ring like it’s the Wild West, well guess what, cabron? I am the fastest shooter here! And you just bring a knife to a shootout!” Bandido then busts out some Japanese to tell Takeshita that Bandido is the champion, and at Supercard of Honor, the outlaw wins! The gold will stay with The Most Wanted!
Six Man Tag: The Dark Order VS The Frat House!
Evil Uno, Alex Reynolds & John Silver won Beer Pong last week, but then were accused of cheating. The Dark Order let Jacked Jameson, Preston Vance, Griff Garrison & Cole Karter think they won, but got the bill put on Griff’s tab anyway. Now the Frat House looks to make The Dark Order pay, but wait, wait, wait. The Pledges are the ones dressed to compete? Jameson has the mic to say, “Alright, now listen. There is a match scheduled tonight between The Dark Order and The Frat House. However, last night, we threw one of our pledge parties down the street. We got so drunk, we’re so hungover, we’re not even medically cleared to compete tonight!”
The fans boo but Jameson says representing the Frat tonight are the newest pledges! And if they win, they’re in! The pledges are excited, but Vance says he’ll be honest. He doesn’t have a lot of faith in these guys, but that’s okay. Because their one rule is: Win or lose, they BOOZE~! Now get ’em! Livewire Charlie, Danger Ross, and Alan Breeze rush in, but the Dark Order dodges! Reynolds & Silver DECK LiveWire & Breeze, but Uno tells Danger to STOP! Danger does stop, and Uno kicks low to DDT! The fans fire up as The Dark Order focuses on Breeze, whip into the corner, start up the WOMBO COMBO! The fans fire up and now they get LiveWire up!
Uno & Reynolds hoist him up, Silver runs, PENDULUM BOMB!! Cover, Dark Order wins!
Winners: The Dark Order, by pinfall
Well, no new members to The Frat tonight! Vance says fine, it doesn’t matter anyway. But Reynolds has the mic to say, “Enough’s enough, boys. Enough is enough, this has gone on for way too long. Tomorrow night, it’s gonna be Dark Order VS Cole Karter, Preston Vance & Griff Garrison!” Silver asks, “Whoa, who the EFF is Griff Garrison?” Griff is pissed, Jameson says they all know who Griff is! That joke is so lame! But Reynolds promises Vance that on Supercard of Honor, they shove the Frat paddle straight up Vance’s ass!! The fans fire up for that! Will nothing stop the Dark Order from humbling Number 10 once and for all?
The Infantry speaks.
Carlie Bravo says, “Public Service Announcement from The Infantry. It’s been about one week since we slapped the lips off of Top Flight and became the NEW #1 contenders to the ROH Tag Team Championships. Which means tomorrow night on Supercard of Honor-” Oh, well, speak of the Natural & Spanish God and they shall appear! Sammy Guevara applauds and congratulates them on the win. Shawn Dean says look at this, it is the Sons of Texas! Carlie says more like the Grandfather & Grandson of Texas. Sammy gets heated but Infantry has him stand down. They don’t want no smoke. If they were gonna insult them, they’d have talked about Dustin’s face paint or Sammy’s stupid tie.
But they know the Sons have a match tonight, so the Infantry will wish them luck. Don’t jump off something stupid and break your neck, Sammy. And Dustin, don’t break a hip. Sammy tells them to shut up. For a year, he’s heard so much about The Infantry. He heard people saying they should give The Infantry a shot. Well, The Infantry gets their shot! He hopes they don’t let it slip again. Because see, if everyone has been wanting Infantry to have this shot, and they drop the ball, what happens to them? Carlie says his balls dropped at 13, no big deal. Oh, jokes, huh? Tomorrow night will not be a joke. Hopefully they get serious.
Carlie & Dean scoff at that, but Dustin steps up. Dustin would congratulate them, or thank them for their service as former military. But he ain’t doing that s*it. The Infantry used to be heroes to everyone around here. Dustin watched them grow, they were doing well. But then they went dark, deep, and are just all talk like everyone else. The Infantry said these are the ROH Tag Team Championships? Get it right, these are the ROH World Tag Team Championships, and The Sons of Texas have reigned for close to a YEAR. Tomorrow night, this “grandpa” is gonna kick both their asses. Carlie says just enjoy their last night as champs.
The Infantry heads out, but will they be leaving Texas with the gold? Or will they learn the Dustin & Sammy don’t run or hide, no matter who’s outside?
Pure Rules Match: Deonna Purrazzo VS Rachael Ellering!
There’s still some time before the ROH Women’s Pure Championship Tournament begins, and that means The Virtuosa has some time to sharpen her skills while The Queen of Strong Smile still has time to put her name in the hat. Will Deonna dominate at her style? Or will Rachael make sure Deonna goes SQUISH~?
The Code of Honor is upheld, the bell rings, and we’re on the clock. They circle, tie up, and Rachael waistlocks. Deonna pries at the hold but Rachael wrenches to a wristlock. Deonna rolls, rolls, and breaks free. The fans cheer and the two reset. Deonna and Rachael tie up again, then Rachael wrenches to get both arms and she spins Deonna around. Rachael fireman’s carries, Deonna slips free and shoves Rachael! Deonna runs, but Rachael fireman’s carries! Deonna pushes Rachael’s bandanna over her eyes!
The ref reprimands but Deonna slips free and BOOTS Rachael down! Deonna says work smarter, not harder. Deonna paces around Rachael, brings her up, and wrenches the arm to YANK it! Deonna YANKS it again, then wrenches for a RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP! Roll and FUJIWARA! Rachael flails, reaches out, ROPEBREAK! That is Rachael’s first of three as we hit 3:15, and Deonna kicks Rachael to the ropes. Deonna stomps Rachael, but the ref counts. Deonna stops, brings Rachael up in the corner, and CHOPS! Deonna talks trash on Rachael, wrenches the arm, but Rachael fires a forearm! Deonna wrenches, Rachael forearms, repeat!
Rachael and Deonna fire forearms back and forth! Rachael fires a flurry, then runs, but Deonna wrenches and short arm LARIATS! Cover, TWO! Rachael is tougher than that and Deonna is frustrated. Deonna drags Rachael up, clamps on a top wristlock and she grinds Rachael down. The fans rally as Rachael endures, fights up, and Rachael wrenches to arm-drag free! Rachael runs up, Deonna dodges, but then Rachael ELBOWS her away! And BOOTS her! Rachael gets moving and she UPPERCUTS Deonna! Deonna stands back up, but into a LARIAT! Rachael calls it, SQUISH SENTON! Cover, TWO!
Deonna survives and we pass five minutes. The fans rally and Rachael shakes out the arm. Rachael brings Deonna up, reels her in, fisherman and DESTRUCTION! Cover, TWO!! Deonna survives that modified fisherman buster and Rachael grows frustrated. Rachael drags Deonna up as we hit six minutes, then whips for the- NO, Deonna slips free of the swing, FUJIWARA ARMBAR!! Rachael TAPS, Deonna wins!
Winner: Deonna Purrazzo, by submission
Just six minutes and change, and not one ropebreak used, Deonna shows off that high ring IQ! But will she be the one to stamp her name in the history books by becoming the first-ever Women’s Pure Champion?
Athena speaks.
“It’s Thunder Time~, she says. She wants an opportunity, she deserves an opportunity, and she was gifted one for my Forever ROH Championship. But what has Thunder really done in ROH? Absolutely nothing but b*tch, moan and complain! She is so desperate to be a champion again, she thinks that picking me is the easy way out. But baby girl, lemme tell you one thing, I am NOT to be taken lightly. Because there is no man in ROH that can touch my reign, and there is no woman that can live up to my legacy. You have forgotten what it means. You have forgotten what this means! To come in day after day, week after week, year after year, put a company on my back!
“Oh, wait. Didn’t yours crumble under the pressure? At Supercard of Honor, Thunder, this is personal. Because I don’t know where you hail from. Is it Texas? Is it Mexico? I don’t care. Because this is MY home. This is MY brand. And at Supercard of Honor, I am going to break your back so bad, you will never get off the injured bench ever again. I am the Fallen Goddess, the American Joshi, the Minion Overlord, I am the FOREVER ROH Champion, and I am going to make an example out of you and anyone else that decides to skip the line.” Athena has spoken, will she make sure La Mera Mera feels more like the worst of the worst?
8 Man Tag: The Sons of Texas VS Grizzled Young Veterans & The Premier Athletes!
Dustin Rhodes & Sammy Guevara are nearing one full YEAR as ROH World Tag Team Champions, and Dustin & The Von Erichs are about the same as ROH World Six Man Tag Team Champions. But Smart Mark Sterling has the mic to talk… He tells Bobby Cruise to “hit the bricks,” he’ll handle it from here. Everybody knows Tony Nese & Ariya Daivari, and the Premier Athletes are here in Seattle, the home of grunge rock. But the only thing grungy here are the audience! Now, the last time the Premier Athletes wrestled, Sterling got kicked in the groin by Dustin Rhodes! The fans cheer that!
Sterling says the good news is, in the State of Washington, it is illegal to kick anyone who is ringside in the groin, so that means his privates are safe! Now, they will let the losers of Seattle join in on the cheer. When he says, “Athletes,” you say, “Rule!” and NOTHING ELSE! Hands in, boys. “Ohhh~, ATHLETES!” “SUCK!!” Gottee! But with that, The Sons of Texas make their entrance! Will Dustin, Sammy, Marshall & Ross be riding high going into Supercard of Honor? Or will GYV + PA = W?
The teams sort out and Sammy starts against Nese. The fans rally up, Sammy offers the handshake, but Nese chooses to flex instead. Sammy flexes, the fans cheer, but Nese laughs at how those compare to his. They tie up, go around, and Nese waistlocks. Sammy slips around to facelock, but Nese drops, rolls, and wrenches Sammy to a hammerlock. The two stand, Sammy switches the hammerlock, but Nese backs Sammy into a corner. The ref counts, Nese ELBOWS Sammy! The fans boo but Nese whips corner to corner. Sammy reverses, Nese ELBOWS him away, then Nese goes up and over! Nese does jumping jacks just to show off.
The fans boo but Sammy applauds, the jump was good. Things speed up, Sammy hurdles, backflips, and DROPKICKS! Sammy kips up so smooth and the fans fire up! Sammy does his own jumping jacks, Sterling says Sammy shouldn’t show off. Nese decides to do pushups, so Sammy says okay, he does pushups. Nese runs up, but Sammy dodges the dropkick! Sammy brings Nese over, tags Marshall Von Erich, and they mug Nese. Marshall wrenches and wristlocks but Nese pulls hair! Nese puts Marshall in the corner, tags Zack Gibson, and they mug Marshall. Gibson CLUBS and scoops, but Marshall fights free!
Marshall DROPKICKS Gibson, then runs in at the corner for a LARIAT! Marshall calls his shot, runs back in, CANNONBALL! And a Texas sized one at that! Tag to Ross and the brothers double whip Gibson to a corner. Ross runs in, DROPKICK! Marshall’s right behind with a LARIAT! Snapmare and then Ross hits a PENALTY KICK! Marshall hits a STANDING MOONSAULT! Ross headlocks, Gibson powers up and powers out. Tag to James Drake, the GYV drop down then Drake KNEES Ross at the ropes! Ross takes a swing, Drake gets away, and Gibson CLOBBERS Ross! Gibson pushes Ross out, Drake LARIATS him down!
The fans boo and the Sons of Texas protest, but this just lets Drake CLAW Ross’ face! Sterling, Nese & Daivari join in with stomps! Dustin storms over that way, Drake tattles on him with the ref! Dustin backs off, Drake ROCKS Ross, then Drake puts Ross on the apron. Drake SMACKS Ross off the apron! And then fires a forearm! The fans rally for Ross but Drake stays between Ross and his team. Drake ROCKS Ross, tags Gibson, and GYV mugs Ross. Gibson short arm LARIATS, but the fans rally up. Gibson rains down fists on Ross, then he sucker punches Marshall! And sucker punches Sammy! Dustin ducks the sucker punch but Gibson backs off before Dustin can retaliate.
Gibson stalks Ross, drags him up, and he tags in Drake. GYV double whip Ross but Ross grabs ropes. Ross BOOTS Drake, TOSSES Gibson, but Drake clamps on with a SLEEPER! The fans rally, Ross reaches out, and Ross wrenches to hit a BIG back suplex! The fans fire up, Ross and Drake crawl, hot tags to Dustin and Daivari! Dustin dodges Daivari to BLAST the corner! Dustin then LARIATS Daivari, LARIATS again, and whips. Daivari reverses but Dustin says “Not today!” RHODES UPPERCUT! SNAP POWERSLAM! Nese runs in, he gets a SNAP POWERSLAM! Sterling gets on the apron, but Dustin THROWS Sterling in!
The fans fire up as Dustin puts Sterling in the corner! The ref reprimands, Sterling shouts it is illegal! Like really illegal! Dustin takes a deep breath, but Nese slides in to defend Sterling. Gibson then clinches Dustin and Drake ENZIGIRIS! Nese frees Sterling, but Sammy RAMS Gibson, GAMANGIRIS Drake, and CROSSBODIES! Ross CLUBS Nese, feeds him to Sammy for the torture rack, GO TO- NO, Nese slips down, roll-up, SOBAT! Nese still works to free Sterling, but Ross CLUBS Nese again! Ross fires hands on Nese but Nese shoves Drake. Nese runs, Ross THRWOS him to Marshall’s SPINEBUSTER!
Daivari SUPERKICKS Ross! Marshall and Daivari DOUBLE LARIAT! They’re down, the fans fire up, and sterling wriggles free of the corner. The fans boo but Dustin slides in! RHODES UPPERCUT! And he puts Sterling back in the corner! Dustin has Sterling open for the SHATTERED DREAMS! Sterling suffers bug Daivari rolls Dustin! TWO! Dustin dragon sleepers Daivari, but Nese runs up! Dustin dumps Daivari, dodges Nese, and comes back with a DESTROYER! GYV get in, but the Von Erichs hit them with DOUBLE IRON CLAWS! The fans fire up as the Von Erichs SHOVE GYV up and out!
Dustin has Sammy set up and he builds speed! Sammy FLIES to take out GYV! Daivari is back up, but Dustin kicks low, suplex, FINAL RECKONING! Cover, Sons of Texas win!
Winners: The Sons of Texas, by pinfall
Another huge win for Two Belts Dustin, he and the boys are rolling into Arlington with this! Will Sterling find another excuse to expunge this loss? Or will the Premier Athletes admit the Sons of Texas just have their number?
My Thoughts:
A great ROH here as the go-home to Supercard of Honor. Great promo from Bandido to call out Takeshita, great promo from Athena to call out Thunder Rosa, and good promo between Infantry and Dustin-Sammy. Very fun, very good main event 8 Man Tag there, but of course The Sons of Texas won out. I don’t know how the go-home math works there when Infantry didn’t get in the ring tonight, but I would be pleasantly surprised if Infantry won. Shane Taylor Promotions needs to be given that push, and a year for Dustin & Sammy is good enough. Next step would be to dethrone Dustin & Von Erichs as Six Man Champs because c’mon, we don’t see The Von Erichs unless AEW/ROH is in or going to Texas.
Great opening tag for SAP VS Atlantis Father & Son, but of course Atlantis Father & Son won. Being CMLL and all that, the luchadores should look strong, and perhaps we get more of them going for the tag titles should Infantry take them. I skimmed Solo VS Priest, and I did not think Priest would win so that was great for him. The Frat House putting up jobbers against The Dark Order was a bit cheesy but a fine Heel tactic. Good win for Dark Order, and now Supercard of Honor has another match. I feel like Frat House wins because the natural step would then be Frat House goes after the Six Man titles. I can’t believe I want Frat House to take those titles…
And very good Pure Rules match from Deonna VS Rachael. Deonna of course won, but why is TK holding back on the bracket? I know he wants to start the tournament with Supercard, but I will again say that was dumb, he should’ve had it culminate there. It’s not like he does a lot with the women’s division here in ROH, so the pacing could’ve worked out. But whatever, we’re getting at least Aminata VS Deeb for Supercard then, right? Or did TK change his mind and wants to wait until after Supercard? Just tell us ROH is an afterthought already so that we can understand why it’s not getting anything going?
My Score: 8.7/10
