Apparently you can’t have more than one comeback story at a time, because the Epitome of Excellence accused the Singapore Warrior of copying him. Will Edris prove you can’t spell Evolve without E O E? Or will his bitterness come back to bite him?

The bell rings and Edris says Dante’s gonna pay for that sucker punch! But then Dante blocks Edris’ punch to DECK him! Dante fires off on Edris in the corner, stomps away, then CHOPS! Dante bumps Edris off buckles, whips him corner to corner, then HIP TOSSES! The fans fire up with Dante as he hits a headlock takeover. Edris endures the grind, fights around, and fights to his feet. Edris fires body shots, powers up and out, but Dante runs him over! Then basement DROPKICKS! Cover, TWO! Dante stays focused but Edris wants a timeout? Edris wants to apologize for his sucker punch, but Dante blocks the cheap shot kick!

The fans cheer, Edris says hold on, wait! Then Edris CLAWS Dante’s eyes! The ref reprimands, the fans boo, but Edris ROCKS Dante. Edris whips, Dante blocks, but Edris powers through to whip. Dante KICKS Edris! Dante headlocks, Edris powers up and out, but Dante rolls over the dropdown. Edris runs up, Dante sidesteps, but Edris stops himself using the ropes. Dante runs up, but Edris fireman’s carries for a FLAPJACK HOTSHOT! Dante falls back, but hurries to his feet, only for Edris to BOOT him down! The fans boo as Edris rains down fists. Edris stomps Dante, then turns him over to KNEE DROP! Cover, but he’s on Dante’s throat!

Edris “apologizes” as he steps off, and he sits Dante up for a reverse cravat. Dante endures as Edris cranks the neck in the reverse chinlock, and the fans rally up as Dante stands. Edris CLUBS Dante, aims for the ropes, but Dante blocks the toss! Dante then HOTSHOTS Edris off the ropes! The fans cheer, Edris stands, but into an ELBOW, BACKHAND, and then a facelock! Dante suplexes, but Edris fires knees! Edris is free and he AX HANDLES Dante! Then DDTS! Cover, TWO! Edris keeps on Dante with that reverse chinlock. Dante endures being bent back and the fans rally up. Dante rises up, pries free, and he spins Edris for a NECKBREAKER!

Both men are down and the fans rally up. Dante goes to a corner, Edris runs up, but Dante sweeps the legs! The fans fire up as Dante rains down fists! Edris pushes Dante away, both men stand, and Dante runs. Dante dodges a lariat to CLOBBER Edris! And LARIATSS! Dante fires off fast hands and an ENZIGIRI! Dante runs to BOOT Dante down! Edris flounders, Dante powers up and the fans are with him! But Edris bails! No superkick yet, but Dante storms up to the ropes. But Edris HOTSHOTS Dante again! Dante and the fans can’t believe it, but Edris just stole one! Is this what the Epitome of Excellence is supposed to be? Or is he sacrificing his integrity for victory?

Jordan Oasis is searching for a tag partner.

As the show got started, Oasis was backstage and he came across It’s Gal and Sam Holloway. Oasis asked, “What’s up, y’all? Well, listen, I’m sure you guys both have heard by now that Keanu Carver’s trying to put an end to the whole WWE ID program.” Gal asks what that has to do with him, and Oasis reminds him that they’re part of that program. They got here to Evolve from that program. And Vanity Project keeps running their mouths, saying things like they run Evolve. Gal again asks, what does that matter to him? Oasis says that right now, they should be on the same page. He has his tag match with Swipe Right and was wondering if one of them would join him.

Gal says request denied. Oasis is weak, pale, and ready to fail. Sam asks why they’d ever team with Oasis. He lives out of a backpack! He has no friends! Who’d ever wanna tag with him? But wait, Adrenaline Drip walks in! Cappuccino Jones & Jack Cartwheel say enough of that, Oasis is their guy. Oasis has done a lot more to earn his spot than these two clowns. Wow, biggest lie Gal’s ever heard. No, no, Oasis has earned his stripes. Just because he goes about his business quietly doesn’t make him a bad guy. In fact, makes him a lot better than Gal and Sam. Okay now THAT is the biggest lie! Cartwheel says who is Gal to degrade someone else’s grind.

Oasis is a fellow WWE ID prospect. Have Gal and Sam already forgotten the long drives? The heart it took to get here? Cartwheel & Cappuccino haven’t. Oasis says he appreciates them having his back, but he’ll move on to find a tag partner. Oasis heads out, and Sam says save that brotherhood stuff for some other time, please. Gal says look at Sam’s glorious beard! He is a ferocious stud! Nothing Adrenaline Drip knows, sipping on coffee, doing cartwheels, and chasing acceptance. Like, c’mon! Sam tells “Cap” and “Jack” that Gal & Sam can send them packing to hang out with Oasis. They’ll go find Stevie. Fine, do it!

Gal & Sam head out, but will they prove bigger is better? Or will they find that better is better? We’ll see, after the break.

Adrenaline Drip VS Sam Holloway & It’s Gal!

Evolve returns as Cappuccino & Cartwheel make their entrance with the new music and tron for the team name. Sam & Gal make their entrance together under Gal’s music, and the teams sort out. The fans cheer “CAAAPPUCCINO! CAAAPPUCCINO!” as he starts against Mr. Mint Condition. The two tie up, go around, and Gal puts Jones in a corner. Gal flexes, shoves Jones, but Jones shoves back! Jones then headlocks, but Gal powers up and spins. Jones still hits the takeover! Gal headscissors and does pushups to show up! Jones still kips up, and he flying mares! Jones mocks Gal with “DUMMY! DUMMY!” as he does pushups on Gal!

Gal gets up in a huff and swings, but Jones dodges, drops, and jumps, but into a fireman’s carry! Gal says this is light work as he does squats. DEATH VALLEY- NO, Jones lands out! And DROPKICKS back! Jones brings Gal over, tag to Jack. They whip, double hurdle, then hurdle again! DROPKICK from Jones, STANDING SHOOTING STAR from Jack! Cover, TWO! Jack facelocks but Gal wrenches out. Gal ROCKS Jack, BLASTS Jones, but then Jack cartwheels and ENZIGIRIS! Jones slips in but the ref stops him. Meanwhile, Jack whips but Gal reverses, and Sam holds the ropes open! Jack tumbles out of the ring the hard way thanks to Holloway!

The fans boo but Gal tags Sam, and Sam SHOTGUNS Jack back down! The fans boo more, Jones runs up, but Sam catches him to RAM him into the post! Cappuccino’s coffee beans just got crushed! Sam TOSSES Jack into the ring, then climbs the ropes for an ELBOW DROP! Cover, TWO! Jack survives but he grits his teeth in pain. Jack manages to stand, but Sam CHOPS him to the corner! Sam CHOKES Jack, tags Gal, and Gal kisses his bicep before he throws a body shot! Gal drags Jack in a facelock, CLUBS him, and suplexes. “Light work!” SLAM! Gal does a pushup choke! The fans boo but Gal does a DOUBLE LEG DROP! Cover, TWO!

Jack stays in this but Gal stands him up. Jack fires body shots, then CHOPS! Jack jumps but Gal catches him to throw him back! Jack tries again, but Gal THROWS Jack this time! UPPERCUT in the corner! Tag to Sam, and feed to the BUTTERFLY SUPLEX! Cover, TWO! Jack survives but Sam clamps on with a SLEEPER! Jack endures, the fans rally up, and Jack fights up. Jack fires body shots but Sam CLUBS him! Sam back suplexes, but Jack cartwheels through! Hot tag to Jones! Springboard MISSILE DROPKICK! Down goes Sam! Jones BLASTS Gal, dodges Sam, and FLYING FOREARMS! Sam stays up, Jones LARIATS! Sam is still up!

Jones runs again, but Sam grabs him with a choke grip! CHOKE- NO, Jones flips free, and SHOT OF ESPRESSO! Gal is up and angrily yelling in his Mini-Megaphone! Sam runs up, Jones dodges, Sam BLASTS Gal! Sam is stunned, Jones hits the HALF ‘N’ HALF SUPLEX! Hot tag back to Jack! Jones has Sam up in a clinch and Jack LEAPS! THROWBACK CUTTER AND FLATLINER COMBO!?! Cover off the #FlipNSip, TWO!?!? Sam survives and no one can believe it! “This is Awesome!” as Jones PLANCHAS onto Gal, only for Gal to catch him! But Jack adds a FOSBURY FLOP on top! Down goes Gal and the fans fire up!

Adrenaline Drip mugs Gal, but Sam builds speed?! SAM FLIES!! Sam wipes everyone out the hard way! The fans go nuts, Sam puts Jack in the ring, and Sam climbs the corner! DIVING BODY PRESS!! Cover, JONES MACHO ELBOWS OUTTA NOWHERE! Gal tags in, he runs up, but Jones dodges the lariat! Gal dodges Jack, BLUE- NO, Jack RANAS! Jack fireman’s carries Gal, Jones runs up, HAYMAKER into the ROLLING DEATH VALLEY! #CrashWheel! Jones then DIVES to take out Sam! Jack goes up, up, and CARTWHEEL SHOOTING STAR!! They say speed kills, and Adrenaline Drip might just be the fastest team in the WWE today! Will their rise to the top be just as fast?

Jordan Oasis continues his search.

He doesn’t find anyone around, but then Brooks Jensen finds him. Jensen asks if Oasis is still looking for a teammate against Swipe Right. Oasis says he is, so Jensen says hell, consider him your huckleberry. Uh, Oasis appreciates that, but hasn’t Jensen had his fill of tag teams? Jensen admits, that’s true. He has been trying to figure himself out, but he’s been on his own path these days, kinda like Oasis. And Vanity Project… Well, they have his attention. So at least for one night, Oasis doesn’t have to wander alone. Think about it like this: Oasis helps Jensen, Jensen help Oasis. In that case, that works. They shake hands and Oasis says see Jensen in the main event.

Will Jensen redeem himself from his darker days in The Culling? Or is there something more to this partnership than he’s letting on?

Stevie Turner talks with Marcus Mathers.

The Evolve Prime Minister understands the frustrations Philly’s Finest feels. Marcus won his match but Keanu Carver ruined the celebration. However, Sean Legacy already has a match set with Keanu, so maybe Marcus can face Keanu after. For now, how about a WWE ID Showcase? Marcus VS Bryce Donovan. Marcus says that’s all he can ask for, and he thanks Stevie. Marcus leaves, but in steps Kali Armstrong. She asks where Jin Tala’s at, and Stevie says she understands the frustrations the Pride of Inglewood is feeling. Damn right she’s frustrated, where is Jin?! Not here tonight. Well, Kali needs Jin in the ring next week. No sneak attacks, no games, just face to face.

Kali storms out and Stevie asks for inside voices. But the WWE Evolve Women’s Champion is ready to hunt down the one whodunnit. Will there be a Kali Connection in Jin’s near future?

Kendal Grey VS Zayda Steel!

Speaking of Jin Tala, Grappler Grey still owes her one for what Jin did to Carlee Bright, and Wendy Choo by extension given how Wendy helped Jin last week. For now, can she focus on the Real Deal right in front of her? Or is Vanity Project about to party it up?

The bell rings and the fans rally up behind Kendal. She ties up with Zayda, Zayda arm-drags, and Zayda cheers herself on since no one else will. Kendal storms up, the two tie up, but Zayda throws Kendal down by her hair! The ref reprimands and the fans boo, but Zayda laughs at Kendal. Zayda drags Kendal up by her hair, the ref reprimands, and Zayda tells him to back off. Zayda headlocks, hits a takeover, and she grinds Kendal down. Kendal rolls Zayda to a cover, ONE! Zayda says nuh-uh and holds onto the headlock. Kendal powers up and out but Zayda RUNS her over! Zayda dances around, runs, but Kendal drops, bypasses, and hits the takeover!

The fans cheer while Zayda flails. Kendal grinds the hold, fights off the headscissors, but Zayda pulls hair again. Zayda fights up, pulls hair again, and puts Kendal in the corner. The ref counts, both women let go, but Zayda SLAPS Kendal! The fans boo, the ref reprimands, but Zayda runs back in. Kendal goes up, out, then slides under! Kendal gets moving to CROSSBODY! Kendal then fireman’s carries for a takeover! Zayda flounders out of the ring and the fans boo. Zayda says they do this on her time, but Kendal pursues! Zayda hurries into the ring, Kendal gets on the apron, and Kendal blocks a shot to ROCK Zayda!

The fans cheer but Zayda avoids Kendal’s shoulder thrust to BOOT her! Zayda then hits a DRAPING CODE BREAKER! Kendal flops into the ring and goes to a corner, but Zayda stomps a mudhole in! The ref counts, Zayda seethes, and she brings Kendal up to wrench, hammerlock, and PEPSI TWIST! Cover, TWO! Zayda grows frustrated, but the fans rally up for Kendal. Zayda RAMS Kendal into a corner, mockingly asks, “Kendal who?” Zayda SHINING WIZARDS, cheers herself on, then whips corner to corner hard! Kendal bounces off buckles, falls to the mat, and Zayda storms up to stomp Kendal down! Zayda stomps away at the ropes, then steps off as the ref counts.

Zayda pushes Kendal to a cover, TWO! Kendal toughs it out but Zayda drags her up. Zayda SLAPS Kendal, talks trash, but Kendal fires body shots! Kendal rolls Zayda up, TWO! Both women stand, Kendal goes to a corner, but she dodges Zayda. Kendal waistlocks to GERMAN SUPLEX! Both women are down and the fans rally up. Zayda finds Kendal first, talks trash, but Kendal fires forearms! They stand, Kendal blocks a shot to ROCK Zayda, kicks low, and then CLOBBERS Zayda! Kendal whips, Zayda reverses, but Kendal goes up and CROSSBODIES! But Zayda rolls through, TWO! Both women stand again, and Kendal dodges with a drop step! SNAP POWERSLAM!

Kendal demands Zayda get up, and then she clinches, OVERHEAD BELLY2BELLY! The fans fire up as Kendal shouts and brings down the straps! But WENDY CHOO laughs from ringside! Zayda rolls Kendal, TWO! Kendal has Zayda around for the SEATBELT! Kendal wins!

Winner: Kendal Grey, by pinfall

The Sleepy Psycho tried to screw Kendal over, but Kendal still wins out! But then where did Wendy go? Chuey Martinez is ringside and he has the fans cheer on Kendal. He asks Kendal about this beef with Wendy. Kendal says she has no idea. But she will say that what you see is what you get with Kendal Grey. If Wendy has a problem, then she can settle it with Kendal in the ring! Kendal storms off, will she get the match she wants? Or will she have to watch herself around ever dark corner of the arena?

Sean Legacy speaks.

“Keanu Carver, you wanna destroy the WWE ID program. You took out Timothy Thatcher, someone that I look up to. Someone that has paved the way for someone like me: independent talent with the ambition to go to and make it in the WWE. What’s so bad about the ID program, Keanu? You say it’s because it cost you from becoming the first-ever WWE Evolve Champion? No, I say it makes your path to the top of Evolve much more difficult. Now look, I get it, you’ve been grinding on the gridiron, but I’ve been grinding in the ring long before you ever put on those pads.

“So how about this? You wanna try to destroy the ID program? Next week, the unstoppable monster, Keanu Carver, tries to destroy Super Sean Legacy.” The challenge has been put out, but will the superhero slay or be slain by the monster?

Chantel Monroe speaks.

“Kylie Rae. She’s smiley, she’s happy all the time, but she needs to get outta my way. And I don’t care if you’re the darling of the independent world, you’ve cost me a title opportunity not once but twice. You took the last spot in the first-ever title match. That should’ve been mine. And let’s talk about last week in the Triple Threat. That victory should’ve been mine. I mean, you might be okay with coming up short, but the Reflection of Perfection doesn’t accept anything less than success. Cuz when I look in the mirror, I see a winner with class, athleticism, charisma… Honey, I could go all day. But when you look in the mirror, you see nothing but disappointment, shame, and embarrassment.

“So I will be lowering myself to move you out of my way in pursuit of the Evolve Women’s Championship.” The Showstopping Diva has put Smiley Kylie on notice. Will Chantel shine in the spotlight like she wants? Or will that reflection show who she truly is inside?

Jordan Oasis & Brooks Jensen VS Swipe Right w/ The Vanity Project!

The Nomad knew someone somewhere would want to fight Brad Baylor & Ricky Smokes, but to think it would be the former NXT UK Tag Team Champion who has been on hard times. Will Jensen show he can still go? Or will the bro-bros keep it hundos for real?

The main event introductions are made, and the teams sort out. Brad and Jensen step up and the fans rally with the bell. They tie up, Brad headlocks, and he thrashes the hold. Jensen powers up and powers out, but Brad pulls Jensen’s hair! The ref reprimands and the fans boo but Brad reels Jensen back in for the headlock. The fans rally, Jensen powers up and out again, but Brad again pulls hair! Jensen breaks free, he blocks Brad’s kick, and Jensen reels Brad into the headlock! The fans cheer as Jensen thrashes Brad now. Brad powers up and out, but now Jensen pulls hair! Fans cheer the payback, and Jensen hits a headlock takeover.

Jensen grinds Brad down, Brad fights around, and Brad fights up. Brad fires body shots, powers out, but Jensen hurdles. Oasis tags in, and Jensen hits a BULLDOG! Brad staggers up, Oasis hits a NECKBREAKER! Brad hurries away and hot tags Ricky! Smokes runs in, Oasis dodges, drops down, then hurdles. Smokes leaps over the monkey flip and he gloats, but Oasis kips up! Smokes turns around and Oasis arm-drags! Oasis grinds on the armlock but Smokes fights up. Smokes whips, Oasis reverses, but Smokes KICKS Oasis! Oasis snarls and he TOSSES Smokes to the corner! Oasis CHOPS and the fans fi reup!

Oasis keeps Smokes from running away and CHOPS again! Brad storms in, Jensen intercepts, and Jensen TOSSES Brad to a corner! Jensen and Oasis coordinate, and they CHOP Swipe Right! And CHOP, CHOP, CHOP! They then whip Swipe Right at each other, but Swipe Right stop short. But then Jensen TOSSES Brad and Oasis scoops Smokes. Oasis SLAMS Smokes, KICKS him in the back, then SENTONS! Cover, ONE!! Smokes toughs it out but Oasis stalks him to the ropes. The fans fire up as Oasis says he’s got something for Smokes! Oasis runs, but Brad drags Smokes out of harm’s way. Oasis stops short and he glares at Brad.

Smokes runs up but Oasis ELBOWS him! But then Brad trips Oasis up! Jensen protests, but that lets Smokes BOOT Oasis down! Smokes stomps away on Oasis, stops as the ref counts, and he shouts, “SWIPE RIGHT!” The pretty boys are in control while Evolve goes to break.

Evolve returns and Swipe Right has Oasis trapped in their corner. Smokes whips Brad in and Brad RAMS Oasis while Smokes taunts Jensen with that stupid hide-my-face dance. Brad then feeds Oasis to Smokes’ BOOT! Brad covers, TWO! Oasis toughs it out but Brad clamps on to CLUB him in the chest again and again! Brad says, “Swipe Right ’til the day we die!” The fans boo but Brad snapmares Oasis, runs, and drops an elbow but misses as Oasis moves! Oasis then cradles Brad to the cover, TWO! Brad kicks, Oasis spins through, and he CLUBS Brad on the back! Oasis waistlocks, Brad elbows free, and Brad ROCKS Oasis!

Brad fires forearms, tags Smokes, and snapmares Oasis. Brad runs to NECK SNAPPER, and Smokes adds the basement DROPKICK! Cover, TWO! Smokes is frustrated but he KNEES Oasis in the back! And KNEES him again! Smokes taunts Jensen, shoves Oasis down, and drops a KNEE! Cover, TWO! Smokes stays on Oasis and drags him back. Tag to Brad and Brad drops an ELBOW! Brad fires up but the fans boo. Brad drags Oasis up, snapmares, and clamps on with a chinbar. Brad CLUBS Oasis in the chest again and again, but Oasis blocks! The fans fire up as Oasis rises, and Oasis CHOPS Brad! But Brad keeps Oasis from Jensen!

Oasis reaches out, ROCKS Brad, and repeat! Brad ducks a shot, waistlocks, but Oasis switches. Oasis lifts for a BACKBREAKER! Brad flounders, hot tag to Smokes, and he BLASTS Jensen! But then Oasis BACKDROPS him! Tag back to Brad and Oasis is without a partner! Brad lifts Oasis, Smokes DROPKICKS Oasis into the SPINEBUSTER! Cover, TWO! The fans rally up as Oasis survives. Brad KNEES Oasis in the back again and again, then drops a KNEE! Tag to Smokes, he stomps Oasis, and that’s a cover, TWO! Smokes rains down fists, then talks trash. The fans chant “Swipe Left!” at him, and Oasis CHOPS!

Smokes wobbles, Oasis CHOPS again, but Smokes CLAWS Oasis’ eyes! The fans boo, but Brad tags in. Swipe Right mugs Oasis, then Brad shouts, “SWIPE!” The fans shout, “LEFT!” Brad stands Oasis up to snapmare, and he clamps on a chinlock. Brad shifts the angle, it is almost a bully choke. Oasis endures, Jensen rallies the fans, and Oasis fights up. Oasis slips around, BIG back suplex! The fans fire up while both men are down! Brad crawls to ropes but he’s far from his corner. Oasis sees his shot, and he takes it! BLACKOUT CANNONBALL against the ropes! Both men are down again, and Jensen decides to run in and BLAST Smokes!

Jensen drags Oasis to safety, tags himself in, and he UPPERCUTS Brad again and again! Then he ROCKS Smokes and DISCUS LARIATS! SNAP POWERSLAM for Brad! The fans fire up and Jensen reels Brad in! Smokes runs up, Jensen ELBOWS him, then he DECKS Brad! Jensen runs to DOUBLE LARIAT Swipe Right! The fans fire up and Jensen warns Jackson Drake to watch himself. Jensen tags Oasis and drags him into the ring? Jensen tells Oasis he’s on his own?! Jensen just wants the WWE Evolve Championship! Jensen breaks up another team, and Brad tags Smokes! Scoop and spin, SUPER SWIPE!! Cover, Swipe Right wins!

The fans boo, but it’s as much for the selfish Brooks Jensen as it is for the obnoxious Vanity Project. Will nothing stop the Vanity Project from owning all of Evolve? Will Oasis make sure Jensen doesn’t get what he wants?

My Thoughts:

A very good Evolve, though I feel like what they’re treating as the big stories weren’t as powerful as the other stuff. Adrenaline Drip having Oasis’ back was good, though the promo itself felt a little stiff. But then they put on an awesome tag match with Sam Holloway & It’s Gal. Sam was the biggest surprise with his very Undertaker-esque tope. Great win for Adrenaline Drip but they sure had to bust out all their stuff to do it. Cartwheel & Cappuccino definitely have the in-ring to become champions, but if Sam can keep this up, he’s got his own path to a title.

Edris VS Dante was a very good opener, but of course Edris cheated to win. I feel like there’ll be a rematch there, these two can definitely do even better than this. Good promo from Chantel Monroe to call out Kylie Rae, they’ll have a good match. Good stuff with Stevie Turner dealing with frustrated Marcus Mathers and even more frustrated Kali Armstrong. Marcus VS Bryce will be really good, and I’m sure we’ll get Marcus VS Keanu in a couple weeks. Sean Legacy had a good promo to call out Keanu, their match will be great, but I wonder if Keanu gets disqualified again.

Meanwhile, Kali might have to fight Kendal & Carlee over who gets after Jin Tala & Wendy Choo. Wendy of course popped up during Kendal VS Zayda, but I appreciate that it didn’t cost Kendal. And great main event tag from Swipe Right VS Oasis & Jensen, but I had a feeling Jensen was going to ditch Oasis there. Jensen may be an enemy to Vanity Project but he clearly isn’t a Face, and Oasis VS Jensen will be really good stuff.
