Andrew’s TNA iMPACT! Results & Match Ratings: 8.21.2025

Well…Emergence existed. They decided to open with the Cedric and Leon X Division match and that was…not a good opening match and barely a decent match. Which started things off poorly and the show’s rhythm never really recovered. The Sami match I’m guessing is supposed to be marred in some kind of question, like the Raven and Zybysko situation from like 2006. So we might see Sami again at some point because there’s questions. Maclin and Something was meh, but we really need to stop with mediocre Hoss Fights for that title.

Moose versus Trick was a solid match, the Knockouts tag was fun and the Hardyz vs Rascalz was good. So there were some good things, but the pacing struggled because they opened with the wrong match. Set a very low bar for the show.

Results:

Trick opens the show, repeats his little Eagles line on the Baltimore crowd from Emergence for the cheap heat. Makes fun of beating Moose in his hometown the same as Mike Santana. So Mike comes out and the crowd is still hot for Santana, so they start sparring back and forth. Nothing overly clever or deep, but both talk well enough to make cliche sound decent. Santana wants another shot, Trick thinks two is enough so he says no, and Santino’s music plays. Trick cuts off Santino because he has a clause in his contract that he doesn’t need to defend the title again until…basically Bound for Glory. So that’s at least a good excuse for Trick to disappear a little and build Santana further, I guess. 

#1 Contender Knockouts Gauntlet: Xia Brookside vs Killer Kelly

Kelly is crawling and smiling and Xia is confused at first until she matches the energy and pisses off Kelly. World of Sport Arm Wringer Cartwheel Counter Mat Wrestling opening. Xia tries to Wreslter’s Bridge out of the Headscissors, Kelly bites her stomach, but Xia manages to get out of it, wiggle a little and pull off a few Crossbodys and Dropkicks. Kelly baits Xia in, dodges in the corner and then stomps the back of her head before hyper extending the Elbow into a Boot to the Head for a near fall. Kelly is clubbing Xia as she tries to get back up, but Kelly is stomping, smashing Xia’s face into the buckles, mat and Knee Lifts into the face into a Cravat Neckbreaker and Lariat. Kelly is dominating so Xia might win with a flash Cradle at this rate.

Xia starts to fire with Forearms, Bodyscissors into a Pop Stunner, Kelly sells to the corner, Xia tries for a Tornado, Kelly cuts it off for a Superplex maybe, but Xia counters, wants a Sunset Bomb, Kelly counters, eats a Gamengiri and the Brooksie Bomb for the first win.

#1 Contender Knockouts Gauntlet: Xia Brookside vs Dani Luna

As soon as Dani comes out we cut to commercial, so that’s a little annoying.

Dani and Xia start with Chain Wrestling, Xia counters the Arm Wringer with a Tornillo from the corner to reverse the pressure and she holds the Top Wristlock, they both roll through, Dani tries to turn it into a Cradle but Xia kicks out and keeps the Wristlock before Dani just Scoop Slams to get out. Luna with a Lariat, Northern Lights, Sliding Lariat and near fall. Dani stays on top of her, working over the back and the Arm from all the World of Sport stuff, a rope run gives Xia an opening, Headscissors into Broken Wings attempt but misses, Shotgun Dropkick from Dani and Luna Landing takes out Xia.

#1 Contender Knockouts Gauntlet: Dani Luna vs Rosemary

Are we cutting to commercial every damn new entrant? Stop that. 

They charge at each other, throw a few shots, Rosemary hits a Spear but Dani powders to the floor and Rosemary bites her head as she follows. Rosemary wants to post Dani, but Dani reverses it and…I guess Rosemary hits the post? Didn’t look great, Dani tries to toss Rosemary in but she slides back out and faceplants Dani on the apron. They get back in the ring and Rosemary starts biting Dani’s fingers. Rosemary takes a little long to set up the Upside Down, but the spot happens anyway cause well…2025 wrestling. Dani fires back, Forearms, goes for the Sliding Lariat but Rosemary dodges, Sliding D Forearm, wants the Red Wedding but Dani says no, Big Boot from Dani, Luna La-nope, more struggling but Dani hits the Luna Landing on the second try and Dani wins.

#1 Contender Knockouts Gauntlet: Dani Luna vs Indi Hartwell

Rosemary attacks Indi during her entrance down the ramp and OF COURSE, another damn commercial. Dani tries the flash Cradle on the bell, but Indi kicks out and lights up Dani with Knee Lifts and quick Kicks. Dani tries to fire with an Irish Whip but Indi stalls it, then Dani gets a small burst, hits her Lariat and Indi is fighting from underneath and the crowd definitely wants Indi to win. Indi fights to her feet, Hard Whips Dani into the corner and a near fall for Indi. Sidewalk Slam from Indi for another near fall. Indi locks in the Grounded Bow and Arrow but Dani powers through, wants the Blue Thunder but Indi says no. Dani connects a few Lariats, hits the ropes and eats the Spinebuster from Indi for two again. Indi and Dani go into a locomotion Cradle Spot, but Indi gets the better of things and gets the 3 count off the Cradle.

Indi tries to tell Dani its all in the spirit of competition but Dani snaps and beats the holy hell out of Indi. 

#1 Contender Knockouts Gauntlet: Indi Hartwell vs Jody Threat

Dani says she did the beatdown for Jody, Jody is playing unwitting babyface. Dani grabs a chair and heads back in, Jody blocks the chairshot and talks Dani down, so Dani clocks Jody, then attacks Indi with the chair. Dani attacked Indi afterwards too, but they decide to call it a DQ so Jody wins the number 1 contender spot…instead of doing a No Contest? I don’t quite get it, but I’m here for Dani Luna-tic.

Frankie Kazarian vs Jake Something

Kaz starts off with the stick and move idea until Something literally just gets in Kaz’s way and knocks him down, runs him over and clubs him down with a Lariat. He throws Kaz into the ropes, Back Body Drop, Kaz sells into the corner and he gets Splashed and then Hard Irish Whipped out of the ring. Jake looks to Dive, but Kaz moves to the other side of the ring, so Jake follows behind him and takes his head off with a Lariat, and then a big club across the chest before slamming Kaz into the apron. Jake grabs Kaz’s feet to jump him up, tosses him into the ropes, Gorilla Press into a Bulldog kind of Powerslam for a near fall. Kaz manages to use his quickness to counter into a Back Stabber and Springboard Guillotine Leg Drop for…a one count. Jake fires, levels Frankie, looks for the Sitout Bomb, but Kaz gets out of it with a few rights, Jake steps on Kaz’s foot so he can’t hit the ropes and a big right hand rocks Kaz. Jake shakes the rope Ultimate Warrior style, looks for Into the Void, Kaz counters into a Chicken Wing, then keeps being slippery, wants a Sunset Roll but Jake rolls through it and a Sitout Powerbomb for 2.9.

Jake is calling to end it, Kaz rips off the buckle trying to avoid Jake, Jake goes face first into the exposed Buckle and Fade to Black. Kaz wins!

Oh wait – this is fun. Santana and Maclin tagged months ago and it was probably the best random pairing of American Wrestlers team I’ve seen in…an indeterminate amount of time. 

Jacy comes out to talk and it’s…generic arrogant heel. She’s the best, TNA is desperate so they’re throwing two versus one. ASH comes out, touts her own accolades, less funny, more…fiery. I’m not really mad at this more serious ASH promo. Of course Masha’s music hits, she can’t talk so now it’s time for me to go refill my drink and put cotton in my ears. Masha calls ASH Temu Britney Spears and Jacy is Emo Katy Perry…what year is this? You can tell old and out of touch people to her to say that unless they’re trying to play to the 40 and older crowd. Awful segment. 

Order 4 vs Rebooted System

Myers and Skyler start, and Myers is beating the hell out of Skyler, tags in Cardona, Flatliner/Russian Leg Sweep combo for a near fall. Cardona eats a Knee from Skyler so he tags out but when Hotch runs in, Back Body Drop and Cardona keeps rolling. He tags in Myers, Tandem Flapjack into another near fall. Hotch does shove Myers into the heel corner, Ali tags in, snaps off some fast offense, tags in Skyler, but it all comes apart for Order 4. System dismantles them and Moose plucks Hotch out of the sky and throws him into Skyler and Mustafa on the outside. Myers and Cardona are keeping quick tags and isolating Skyler, so they’re still working together well, but Order 4 are getting a few cheapshots. Eye Rake and Mustafa with the cheating knee turns it around. Okay, beautiful Stereo Rolling Neckbreakers from Hotch and Ali on Cardona. Tasha even gets a cheapshot in on Cardona.

Ali charges and Cardona raises his knee and Ali is rocked. But Ali tags out before Cardona can and Hotch puts together a Knee Lift into Neckbreaker for a two count. Cardona has been isolated for a while, even Skyler is getting in some offense and near falls. But we go to the last commercial break…hopefully. Coming back, Skyler was almost in control but eats a Facebuster so Moose can get the hot tag and kill everyone. Oh, the Okada Dropkick in the corner, haven’t seen that in a minute. Uranage, Kip Up, GO TO HELL! 1-2-…oh Ali kicks at two and a half. Moose wants the Jacknife but Ali with some Calf kicks, tags out to Hotch and Moose just Headbutts him. Cool triple team from The System, they go for the pin and Order 4 shove people into the pin to break it. Signature Spam moment, but Tasha runs interference to stop Moose, he picks up Tasha and moves her. Triple Superkick on Moose, Tasha throws Lish into the steps and Eddie tries to come down to help Lish but Agent Zero takes out Eddie. Low Blow on Myers, The Favor is hit from the Great Hands and Order 4 wins.

Honestly, a good match.

Overall Score: 6.75/10

Not a terrible show, when the worst thing was the cliche Knockouts Championship conversation before Heatwave, but Mara Sade was great, Hardyz were funny, main event was great, Dango looked cool trying to the make the save for The System, Maclin and Santana teaming again is awesome and I can’t be mad at Dani Luna-tic. Hell even Trick’s little wrinkle wasn’t bad, and wait…look at the, a show without the need for unnecessary Joe Hendry crap!

Things made sense, stories progressed and even though Victor Road is before Bound for Glory (I think), stuff has legs and is heating up okay. Maybe I hit my head and this is backwards land, but this show was fun, made sense and the twists and turns were pretty good.
