Andrew’s TNA iMPACT! Results & Match Ratings: 8.28.2025

So I don’t think many people had the bet right on ASH by Elegance being the first one to bring a TNA title back home, but we got a new TNA Knockouts World Champion! I’m sad we may be losing Jazmyn and Fallon, but Jacy and kick rocks til Christmas, ain’t no one wants her knock off Hot Topic looking ass here.

Aside from that fairly big news, we also had Hendry beat Miz in the UK. Even if Hendry is a bit played out and poorly utilized in TNA, his relative lack of involvement last few weeks and getting huge pops in other promotions is actually perfect to heat him back up. Now let’s just hope this episode is decent.

Results:

Trick Williams & AJ Francis vs Steve Maclin & Mike Santana

Maclin and Trick start, a few equal opportunity knock downs, but Maclin turns it into consecutive Chops, a Face Smash and Lariat. Mac tags in Santana, Trick looks like he saw a ghost…is he gonna tag out? Santana is giving him space…yup Trick tags out. AJ throttles Santana, tries to get something done, Santana counters with Chops, Flying Forearm, some back and forth, Assisted Tope con Hilo with Mac and Mike laying out both Heels. Santana tosses AJ in, tries a tag but AJ kicks at one. AJ goozles, tries to stop Santana but a Big Boot and Flying Tornado DDT gets Santana another near fall. Santana is feeling Froggy…AJ dodges, Santana tries the Rolling Buck Fifty, but AJ Vader Hammers him into tomorrow, tags out to Trick and Santana is on the receiving end of some punishment now. Santana tries to fight back, but a Throat Chop stops the fire and Trick starts with the Front Neck Choke to try and wear down Santana. Santana fires again, but eats a forearm, AJ blind tags, tries to grab Mike but he slips the grip and tags out. As we go to commercial…terrible timing.

When we get back, Maclin is trying to make a comeback while perched, but Trick distracts him so AJ can hit the Squisher, AJ and Trick with power moves and cheap shots, AJ hits Tennessee Whiskey and Trick tags in to keep Maclin reeling. Tandem WhipSplash from Trick and AJ followed by AJ hitting the Senton and Maclin is starting to rally. Punches, JawJacker, AJ hits the Pop Up Forearm, but Maclin counters and hits the Missile Dropkick to make space. Simultaneous tags, Mike levels Trick, Trick tries to counter but a Flying Forearm stops Trick, Santana is rolling, Gamegiri, Rolling Buck Fifty, for 2! Ducks the Leg Lariat, Leap Frog, Stunner! AJ interferes, Trick Kicks AJ, Maclin hits the SCUD to keep AJ out, Santana tries Spin the Block but Trick dodges and then gets cradled for the three count! Trick is shocked and keeps wrestling like he thinks he kicked out before the realization hits and the Heels leave while the faces hold the ring.

Myron Reed w/Zachary Wentz vs Eric Young

Myron is hitting EY with the Speed Kills idea, Rolls under the Lariat, rocks EY, Codebreaker in the corner pops EY off his feet and over the corner to the floor to heat a big Dive. EY tries the Flair Up and Over again, but Myron has answers until EY claws the eyes and hits a Spicolli Driver to finally give EY some momentum. Eric slows things down, we see a Ski Masked individual with a “Cleanse is Coming” sign, Myron turns things around with a Stundog Millionaire, EY misses his Moonsault, so Myron hits quick shots, EY dodges the sweep but eats the kick and Myron pulls off the Rope Assisted Flatline, Enzuigiri to seat EY into the ropes and then Myron pops around for a Slingshot Guillotine Leg Drop. He misses the springboard, eats a Power Slam from EY but only a 2 count. EY threatens the female referee so Wentz tries to protect her, then she admonishes Wentz for being on the apron, so EY takes advantage of the distraction to back kick Myron in the nuts and hit the Piledriver.

Fallon Henley & Jazmyn Nyx vs The IInspiration

Jessi and Jazmyn start, Arm Wringer in the Double Arm Wring gut kick into the IIconics Pose. Cassie is legal now and she makes Jazmyn looks silly, but Fallon gets a blind tag because they get to close, and beautiful Fallon takes over. Cravat into Knee Lifts and Cassie is rocked. Fallon tags out, Jazmyn throws down 3 Near Falls to force Cassie to kick out and then Reverse Neck Lock, but Cassie fights out, Tags to Jessie and Fallon and Jazmyn get stacked, Jessie is stomping a mudhole into both, Twist Face Breaker on Fallon, Jazmyn and Fallon manage to distract the refer so Jessie gets cut off and face planted on to the apron. The Rocket Launcher + Pele Kick combo nearly wins the match but Cassie breaks up the pin. All four women are throwing hands Reverse, Dosido, Reverse, Dosido but Influence eat Big Boots as Fallon breaks up the pinfall, Cassie clears out Fallon with the Spinning Heel Kick, Idolizer on Jazmyn and IInspiration win!

Ryan Nemeth vs Eddie Edwards w/Lish

Chops, Manhattan Drop, Release Belly to Belly, Ryan powders and starts hitting on Lish? So Eddie comes out and smacks Ryan, throws him back in but Ryan gets in some potshots, Eddie turns it around with Chops and Punch Combos, but he telegraphs the Back Drop, so Ryan gets a few shots in. Ryan gets distracted by Lish a lot, and they’re giving Ryan a decent moment of offense. Ryan is flexing for the crowd and taking Eddie very lightly, so Eddie charges but eats steel post. Ryan stomps a mudhole in Eddie, Rude Awakening, and he keeps hitting on Ryan and goading her to slap him for the easy DQ.

Ryan turns and Eddie takes his head off, Pop Up Drop, Chop, Charge but gets cut off. Gamengiri, Backpack Stun- nope Ryan claws the eyes, wants the Implant DDT but Eddie shoves him off, Tiger Driver into the Boston Knee Party.

Mara Sade vs Tasha Steelz w/Great Hands & Agent Zero

Tasha talks shit but Mara Shoulder Tackles her, Tasha hits her with the Arm Drag, but Mara gets angry, drops Tasha  few times and drops a Knee, then does this sexy body roll as she hits another Knee. She tries to hit the ropes but Hotch trips her and Tasha takes advantage of things. Mara is trying to fight back but an Enzuigiri, into a Slingshot Senton and Tasha mocks the Body Roll and goes for back to back covers for the near falls. Tasha locks in a Camel Clutch, but Mara stands up and drops her back into the corner to break the submission, Snapmare and then uppercuts to get rolling, Corner Splash into an interesting Slingblade. Mara kicks off Tasha, hits a Missile Dropkick and gets a two count.

Feint Kick from Mara as soon as Tasha thinks she has something, Great hands threaten Mara, Tasha cuts her off on the ropes and Avalanche Russian Leg Sweep for a two count. Tasha wants Okurrr, but Mara stops her, Finish Her, but the Great hands are on the apron, then Mara dives on Skyler at the feet of Agent Zero. This was a wonky set up, but as Mara slowly heads back in Tasha hits Okurrr and pins with the feet on the ropes to steal the victory.

Post Match, Great Hands restrain Mara, Tasha with open hand slaps and calls in Zero. The hands throw Mara forward and Zero Lariats Mara, and the Hardy’s music finally hits. A little slow on the save boys. Zero tries the Double Clothesline, Hardyz duck and Lariat him out. Zero lands on his feet and we bleed into commercial.

Hardy Boyz vs Leon Slater & Cedric Alexander

Jeff and Cedric start, Cedric gets an early advantage but nothing crazy, Cedric tags in Leon and he asks Jeff if he’s okay instead of just attacking but Leon hits the Feint Mule and looks conflicted, so Jeff evades and hits a Russian Leg Sweep into the Leg Pin, but only two, Jeff tags in Matt and we get basic tandem moves. And then…a commercial.

Back from the commercial, Jeff makes the desperation tag, Cedric eats the Delete Buck Smashes and then even gives them to Leon. Side Effect lays out Cedric, Extreme Elbow and a two count. Cedric counters the Twist with a Dragon Screw. Leon and Cedric want a tandem move but Matt slips it and pushes Cedric into Leon. Plot Twist on Cedric, but Leon breaks it up with a Splash from the top. Leon with the Snapmare, wants the Swanton 450 on Jeff, but he misses, Matt counters the Twist of Slate, Jeff hits the Twist of Hate, for Plot Twist but Leon hits Matt with the Twist of Slate. Leon lays out Jeff, misses the Swanton 450. Matt and Leon fight to the outside, Cedric hits a Springboard Flatliner, Lumbar-no, blind tag from Matt, Twist from Matt, Swanton from Jeff…game…blouses.

Overall Score: 6/10

Another surprisingly decent episode. Fair amount of wrestling, some quality work and even things that weren’t great ring work moves stories along well enough. ASH being the Salvation Wrapped in a Smile is surprising, Dani getting more comfortable as a heel, Trick being…really funny actually, Mara standing up for herself, Ryan helping to show even Lish has turned a new leaf and Santino Cobra’d a lawyer at the end. So it’s hard to really find anything to knee jerk bitch about. Tasha needed to win this first match to build an angle and to keep Order 4 running, but Mara looked really good, and I don’t just mean aesthetically.

Solid episode…easy 2 hours…if only they could all be like this. I wonder if Sami’s already been involved in some of the story direction because last few weeks have been…quite tolerable. *golf claps*
