The Scumbag shows off his Casino Gauntlet contract and his newly won CMLL World Light Heavyweight Championship as he tells “Seabiscuit, because of your cowardice, you refused to give me a world title shot here in AEW unless I execute my contract. One of you shmucks take this.” MJF hands the contract to an AEW staffer. “And because of that fact, one of your close friends is gonna pay. Mascot Mark Briscoe, I heard you last week. You’re worried you’re never gonna see your brother up again in Heaven because of all the sins you wanna commit on me and your refusal to repent.
“Well, I dunno if you heard, Markie, but you are looking into the eyes of the devil. And I got no problem sending you straight to Hell. In fact, I’ll send you back to Hell, AKA Dumpster Fire, Delaware. You will go back to doing what God put you on this Earth to do, and that is nothing more than a loser. A chicken farming, blue collar b*tch. You are not a real athlete, you are not a real man. You know what you are? You’re not championship material. You, my friend, are white trash that got lucky. That’s why these people cheer for you, Mark. They feel bad for you. They pity you, and tonight, Mark Briscoe, I’m afraid your luck is gonna run out.”
MJF kisses the Dynamite Diamond Ring on his pinkie finger and says, “See you in the main event.” The grudge match escalates to new heights, but who will be standing tall over the other?

The Maniac is in a foul mood from losing his AEW World Championship, losing the rematch for it, and then almost being thrown off stairs under the Chicago L train. But will he really make himself feel better this close to home? Or will Speedball just add to the frustrations?
Moxley already pie faces Bailey the moment they’re in the ring. The bell rings and Bailey fires off a BOOT and CHOPS! Then Bailey KICKS, KICKS, KICKS! Moxley pushes Bailey away, goes to another corner, but Bailey fires off more KICKS! Bailey climbs up and he rains down fists! The fans count along, but Moxley CLAWS Bailey’s face before Bailey gets to 5! Moxley puts Bailey in a corner now, and he rains down fists! The fans count, Moxley goes past TEN, then pulls at Bailey’s ear! The ref counts, Moxley stops, and Bailey CHOPS! Moxley shoves Bailey down, then stands on him in the corner! The ref counts, Moxley steps off and storms around.
Moxley drags Bailey up, scoops him, and SLAMS him! Cover, TWO! Bailey is tougher than that but Moxley clamps on a chicken wing and a crossface! Bailey fights the full hold so Moxley settles for a chinbar. The fans rally for Bailey as he endures. Bailey fights up, but Moxley KNEES low! Moxley CLUBS Bailey, then he gets in the ref’s face. Bailey CHOPS Moxley, but Moxley ROCKS Bailey! Bailey ROCKS Moxley, Moxley fires off a flurry! Moxley whips, Bailey handsprings but Moxley dodges! Bailey DROPKCIKS and Moxley bails out! The fans fire up with Bailey and he builds speed, but Moxley gets up! Bailey BOOTS Moxley down!
Bailey goes up, out, but Moxley slides in! Moxley pokes Bailey in the eyes! The fans boo, Moxley “apologizes” to the ref, but this is to distract while Marina Shafir creeps closer to Bailey. The fans boo but then Wheeler Yuta distracts the ref. Marina SWEEPS the legs! The fans boo but the ref tells Marina to stay back. Moxley goes out after Bailey, but Kevin Knight is ringside now! Marina dares Knight to do something, Moxley puts bailey in the ring, and now Moxley pats Knight on the face. Knight throws off his shirt, he’ll do something to Moxley! Moxley says sure he will. But then Bailey goes up, MOONSAULT! Down goes Moxley and the fans fire up!
Bailey hurries to stand Moxley up for forearms! Moxley shoves Bailey into barriers, but Bailey dodges! Bailey KICKS Moxley, CLUBS him onto the barrier, then goes up! Bailey stomps Moxley on the barrier, then MOONSAULT KNEE DROPS!! The fans fire up while the Death Riders freak out, and Dynamite goes picture in picture!
Bailey stares Marina & Yuta down, then goes back to Moxley. Bailey KICKS Moxley against the barriers, then puts him in the ring. Bailey fires the fans up, climbs up the corner, but Moxley hits the ropes to trip Bailey up! The ref reprimands but Bailey lands bad on the speedballs. Moxley storms up and CHOPS! Moxley climbs, throws hands, then he CLAWS Bailey’s back! The ref reprimands but Moxley CLAWS Bailey more. Bailey grabs at Moxley but Moxley bends Bailey’s fingers! Moxley talks trash, then underhooks for a SUPER BUTTERFLY SUPLEX! Cover, TWO! Bailey survives and Moxley is annoyed.
Moxley paces, he drags Bailey up, but Bailey fires a forearm! Bailey still falls to his knees, and Moxley stomps Bailey’s hand! Moxley taunts Bailey, drags him up, and wrenches to an ELBOW BREAKER! Moxley twists the wrist, then hits another ELBOW BREAKER! Moxley hammerlocks and wrangles Bailey to the mat, but Bailey endures. Dynamite returns to single picture and the fans rally. But Moxley shifts for a DISARMER! Moxley BITES Bailey’s fingers, then bends them! And JAMS them! Bailey goes to a corner, Moxley kicks at him, but Bailey snarls. The fans rally and Bailey CHOPS! Moxley CHOPS in return! Moxley talks trash, but Bailey CHOPS back!
Moxley fires forearms on Bailey in the corner, the ref counts, and Moxley pie faces Bailey. Bailey grabs ropes to block the whip, so Moxley BOOTS him! Moxley whips corner to corner, but Bailey wrenches to KICK, KICK, and KICK! Then Bailey dodges Moxley to go up and MISSILE DROPKICK! The fans fire up and rally behind “SPEEDBALL! SPEEDBALL!” Both men stand, and Bailey SOBATS! And AX KICKS! And ROUND KICKS! Moxley falls, Bailey aims, RUNNING SHOOTING STAR! Cover, TWO! Moxley stays in this but Bailey stays focused. The fans rally up, Bailey brings Moxley up, but Moxley shoots around to a SLEEPER!
Bailey flails, claws at the arms, and he pries free to ELBOW BREAKER! Bailey fires shots on Moxley’s elbow, then KICKS the arm! ARM WRINGER! Bailey goes up the corner, Knight keeps Yuta back, and Bailey SHOOTING STARS! Cover, TWO!! But into ARMBAR! Moxley flails and the fans fire up! Moxley fights around, Bailey shifts to a TRIANGLE HOLD! Moxley fights up, deadlifts, but Bailey RANAS and shifts to the ARMBAR! The fans fire up and Moxley fights to roll to a cover! ONE, and Bailey hooks legs! Moxley rolls Bailey again, TWO! The fans fire up and Bailey aims from a corner. But Marina distracts the ref! Knight storms over, Marina and Knight argue, the ref is still distracted, and Yuta trips up Bailey! Bailey is mad, the fans boo, but Moxley runs up to BOOT Bailey down! Moxley hurries and he hits the X PLEX! Cover, TWO! Bailey survives and the fans are thunderous! Because DARBY SNATCHES YUTA! Darby drags Yuta away like he did Moxley last week! The fans fire up even more while Marina and Yuta are freaking out! Darby and Yuta are just gone! And Bailey sunset flips Moxley! TWO!! Moxley escapes, but Bailey hits a HEEL KICK!
Moxley sputters back to his feet, into the TIME ADVENTURE!! Cover, TWO?!?! But into an ARMBAR!! Bailey thrashes the arm around, the fans chant “TAP! TAP! TAP!” but Moxley manages to roll! Moxley slips out, REAR NAKED CHOKE! Marina smiles but Bailey fights around! Moxley shifts his angle again, SLEEPER!! Then the PARADIGM SHIFT!! Cover, Moxley wins!

Backstage interview with Toni Storm & Alex Windsor.
Renee Paquette is with the Timeless AEW Women’s World Champion and #IronWillWindsor, and notes tonight’s Fatal 4 Way match. The winner will represent AEW in the Forbidden Door Fatal 4 Way for Mercedes Mone’s TBS Championship. Toni will also be at Forbidden Door defending her title against Athena. Toni says it is “a menagerie of bruising, brawling b*tches. I used to pray for times like these.” Windsor says Billie Starkz, Skye Blue & Queen Aminata better hit her hard enough for the back rows to hear tonight, because otherwise, the only name we’ll be hearing tonight is, “Alex… WINDSA~!”
And Toni says if there’s one thing she knows about this clearly non-sexual friendship of theirs is that you can beat them down, but you can’t beat them off. Er, what Toni means is that you can’t lick Windsor without her giving a lick back. Oh no, it’s contagious… Toni says tonight is Alex’s night, and they will both go on to Forbidden Door, where Toni will reverse her bad London luck. And Athena, if you wanna whip out your John Hancock and wet the ink, then they can do this tonight in Cleveland! As it says on the Ohio license plates, let’s tape up your tits and tango~! Toni & Alex indeed tango their way out of the room, but will they both be fighting in the O2?
Marina & Moxley find Yuta in the parking lot.
Is he in a body bag?! And then HONK HONK, a car comes driving through! Moxley & Marina drag Yuta outta the way in time so that Darby isn’t guilty of vehicular manslaughter! Darby drives away, Moxley is furious, but Marina gets Yuta out of the bag. And on Yuta’s forehead is a note: FORBIDDEN DOOR! Darby has issued his challenge, will The Maniac man up and fight him there?
Mercedes Mone arrives.
That is to say, #8BeltsMone arrives, and Renee Paquette greets her as she exits the limousine, all eight belts on her, and even snacking on watermelon. Mone takes one bite then tosses the slice, and Renee wants to talk All In: Texas. We haven’t seen Mone since, but that match was incredible! It was THE best women’s match in pro-wrestling, even before the bell rang! Mone did not walk away with the win, but it is still a match we are all going to remember. Mone stops Renee there, and says not to be such a mark. Mone struts her way into the building, will she be paying close attention to the next match?
AEW TBS Championship Fatal 4 Way: Queen Aminata VS Skye Blue VS Billie Starkz VS Alex Windsor!
While CMLL and Stardom will be sending their own representatives to Forbidden Door, the combined AEW & ROH roster puts up four of the best and has them fight to be the one! Will the One True African Queen, the Chicago Skye, the Minion or the Iron Will be heading to London to face The CEO?
Athena accompanies Billie for her entrance, but then she’s annoyed that Toni makes her way out here to be in Alex’s corner. The bell rings and the four women watch each other. Skye runs up on Aminata, Aminata gets around her to shove her at Billie! Alex ROCKS Billie, TOSSES her out, then DECKS her on the apron! Aminata TACKLES Skye and rains down fists! The fans fire up, Alexa saves Skye from Aminata, but then ROCKS Skye herself! Aminata and Alex pinball Skye around, until she shouts, “WAIT~! STOP IT!” Aminata & Alex DOUBLE CHOP Skye instead! The fans cheer, Aminata and Alex shake hands, and they circle.
Aminata waistlocks, Alex fights the lift, Skye waistlocks Aminata. Aminata ELBOWS Skye away, Alex ELBOWS Aminata away. Alex runs and BLASTS Billie off the apron! Aminata spins Alex to snapmare and then KICK! Aminata hooks Alex up, CHOCOLATE KISSES! AH AH AH AH AH, YEEEEAH~! Aminata smiles and drags Alex up, but Skye drags Aminata out! Skye sends Aminata into steel steps! Skye and Billie storm in, they mug Alex, and then Billie bumps Alex off buckles. Billie ROCKS Alex, then steps aside for Skye’s handspring FOREARM! Skye feeds Alex to Billie, but Alex wrenches through! Skye BOOTS Alex into giving Billie the DDT! Skye covers Alex, TWO!
Skye is annoyed but she fireman’s carries Alex. Alex fights free, waistlocks, but Skye bucks Alex and covers, TWO! Alex swings, misses, and Skye comes back to RANA! Alex tumbles, Skye runs up, SHINING WIZARD at the ropes! Aminata BOOTS Skye! Skye flops to the floor, Aminata aims, but Skye blocks the kick to TRIP Aminata! Skye drags Aminata along the apron, DRAPING SWINGING NECKBREAKER to the floor! The fans fire up, and Alex CANNONBALLS Skye down! The fans fire up again, and then Billie SUPER CANNONBALLS onto Alex! Cleveland is all fired up, and then Toni makes sure Athena doesn’t get too close, while Dynamite goes picture in picture.
The ref goes out to check everyone, and Billie puts Alex int he ring. Billie stomps Alex around, drags her up, and whips her hard into the corner! Billie swaggers, Alex writhes, and Billie goes back for Alex. Alex fires body shots but Billie KNEES low! Billie kicks Alex around, bumps her off buckles, then stomps away! The ref reprimands, Billie gets in the ref’s face about it, then Billie drags Alex up. Aminata is back, Billie hits her first, but then Aminata ROCKS Billie. Billie goes to a corner, Aminata snapmares, and she sets Billie up! But Skye DROPKICKS Aminata before any more Chocolate Kisses! Skye then drags Aminata into headscissors!
But Billie headscissors Skye! Alex grabs Aminata’s legs! Alex turns them all over, BOSTON CRAB CHAIN! Billie endures, reaches out, and Athena pushes the ropes closer! But Alex can’t hold onto them all for long, and Aminata kicks free! Alex hurries to CLOBBER Billie! Alex drags Billie around, puts her in a corner, and fires off CHOPS! Skye and Aminata fire forearms with each other, then Alex SMACKS Billie off buckles! Skye CLOBBERS Alex, then fires forearms with Aminata again! Dynamite returns to single picture as the forearms go back and forth! Toni keeps Athena away from Alex while Alex wipes out Billie!
Aminata ROCKS Skye, runs, but Skye SUPERKICKS! Skye brings Aminata around, hops on, CODE- NO, Alex scoops Skye for a BLUE THUNDER BOMB! But Billie ghost pins Alex! TWO, and Alex swings, but into a wrench and KNEE SMASH! HEEL KCIK! Billie runs, but Alex pops her up! POWERBOMB! Cover, TWO!! Billie survives but Alex steps through! SHARPSHOOTER! Billie endures, the fans rally, but Aminata kicks at Alex! Alex shakes her head, so Aminata KICKS Alex! Alex lets Billie go to trade shots with Aminata! They go faster and faster, the fans fire up, and they both ROCK each other! And ROCK each other again!
Aminata and Alex win, Billie and Skye SUPERKICK them! Billie swings, Skye bobs ‘n’ weaves, then Skye hits Billie! Billie and Skye DOUBLE ROUNDHOUSE! They stagger, into GERMAN SUPLEXES! All four women stand, Alex HEADBUTTS Skye! Aminata HEADBUTTS Billie! They then stumble into each other, and the fans fire up! DOUBLE HEADBUTTS and both women fall! The fans fire up as all four women are down while Toni nods in approval. Athena coaches Billie, Billie crawls to the apron and drags herself up. Alexa rises, the fans rally, and Alex has Skye. Alex whips Skye to a corner, runs in, but Skye BOOTS her!
Skye goes up, up, but Alex RISING HEADBUTTS! Alex goes up, positions Skye just right, and fires hands. Skye fights back with body shots! Skye tucks Alex and climbs up, SUPER CODE BLUE!! Cover, AMINATA BOOTS SKYE! Aminata drags Skye up, dragon sleepers, and SAVING GRACE!! Cover, but Billie SWANTON BOMBS! She gets Skye as Aminata dodges! Aminata wrenches Billie to the FISHERMAN SCREW! Cover, TWO!! Billie survives and Toni is loving this! The fans fire up, Aminata DECKS Billie! Aminata stalks Alex but sees Skye. Skye SMACKS Aminata with a chair! Skye finally uses that No Disqualification rule and she sets the chair up nearby.
Skye drags Aminata over, then hops on, but she fumbles and SMACKS off the chair herself! Billie has Alex in a half nelson! Aminata has Skye in a dragon sleeper! FULL METAL SAVING GRACE!! Billie gives Alex a HALF ‘N’ HALF! Then a BOOT in the corner! Billie whips, Alex reverses, LARIAT in the corner! Alex whips, Billie goes up and over! But Alex DISCUS LARIATS! Athena gets int he ring, but Toni YANKS her out! The fans are thunderous as Toni DECKS Athena! Billie CLUBS Alex, reels her in, but Alex cradle counters, ALEX WINS!!

And without a moment to spare, Mercedes Mone is here! Mone struts with all the belts on her, and she goes to the ring. Mone gets ring crew to help her up the steel steps, and then has the ref open the ropes for her. Mone struts and dances around Alex, then has the ref take all the other belts until she has just the TBS Championship. Mone holds that belt up because that is what Alex wants. But wait, Toni steps into the ring! She wants to make sure things don’t get physical with her non-sexual friend and her non-sexual enemy. But wait! Athena is creeping up the corner! The fans warn Toni, but she gets an O-FACE!! Alex is stunned, Mone hits her with a BACKSTABBER!
The fans boo but the Forever ROH Champion and #8BeltsMone stand tall together. They eye each other, and they leave it at that, if only for now. Will Mone survive the best the world has to offer? Will Athena make herself THE best in the world after defeating Toni?

Earlier today, Renee was with Matt & Nick Jackson, though their names escaped her for a moment. She laughs it off and says that tonight, in the AEW World Tag Team Championship contenders tournament, they’re in the semifinals against #Brodido, Brody King & Bandido. Have they seen that team? Brody & Bandido put on a great match against Gates of Agony. Did you see that combo move they pulled off? Nick says, “Are you kidding me? The disrespect, Renee! We’re still Founding Fathers around here, show us some respect!” And then Matt shouts at production. Maybe production should give them a bit more respect!
The last couple of weeks, they’ve been jobbed out with the worst entrances ever! Production “apologizes” but Matt says if they don’t, heads will roll! They want the LEDs, the pyro, the graphics! All of it! No disrespect! And tell Justin Roberts that THIS is how you introduce a couple of stars! Matt shoves a paper into the guy’s hands and Matt says make Justin read it verbatim! The production guy leaves, Matt says everyone is so fickle around here! Renee wishes luck to the former EVPs against the new hot team, #Brodido.

There’s something familiar under a curtain behind her as she welcomes out Don Callis, The Don Callis Family, and the NEW AEW TNT Champion, Kyle Fletcher! The fans boo as The Protostar leads the way for Callis, Josh Alexander, Hechicero, Lance Archer, and a palanquin just for the International, Continental and Unified Championships. Though, no Kazuchika Okada, oddly. The family stands in the ring, Renee says it was a hard fought and gruesome battle against Dustin Rhodes for the TNT Championship. Callis stops Renee there, the fans boo, and Callis says the real question to be asking is the one on everyone’s minds!
“Why am I building the largest numerical faction in the history of professional wrestling? Very simple: POWER! And when you want power in this business, cast your eyes on the gold! Because when you’ve got the gold, you control destiny! And ever since Okada has aligned himself with The Don Callis Family, he’s got not one, not two, but THREE belts that are in the family.” The fans tell Callis to shut up, but he ignores that to say that his favorite moment of the year was when Kyle Fletcher became THE TNT Champion! Just like Okada cast Omega to the trash heap of history, Kyle may have retired a legend! Tell ’em!
The fans continue to tell of Callis but Kyle says, “Dustin Rhodes this past week on Collision got exactly what he deserved for stealing my moment at All In. Now, Dustin may have had a storied career, but a 60 year old man does not deserve to be in the same ring as the Protostar! But hey, that is not the only one of your favorites that I’ve put on the shelf recently, is it? I don’t think we’re ever gonna see Adam Cole again! And that’s all thanks to me!” The fans boo more but Kyle says he may have achieved his destiny in winning the TNT Championship, but this is only the beginning of his legacy! Every man that tries to take this from him will suffer the same fate.
Because Kyle will be the greatest TNT Champion of all time on his way to becoming THE greatest of all time! The fans boo but Callis starts talking again. Callis says he has something to say to Kyle. Callis knows Kyle is going to be the greatest TNT Champion of all time. And when you’re truly great, they memorialize you in art! Your story is told on the canvas of an oil painting! Callis has spent the last two days slaving away, he can still feel the paint under his fingers. Now, his question to Kyle is: How bad does Kyle wanna see it? Kyle says so, so bad! No, how bad does he want it? Oh, yes, take it off, Don! Do it!
Callis goes to the curtain, and he reveals his latest masterpiece! Kyle is wearing nothing BUT the TNT Championship, with the infamous screwdriver tucked in there, too. Kyle says it is beautiful! They hug it out, and Kyle says this may be the greatest gift he has ever received. But Kyle knows he owes all of his success to Callis. And Kyle wants to do him and the family proud by being the greatest champion! A fighting champion! And not for the fans, but for Callis and the family! So Kyle’s very first defense of this title will be this Saturday on Collision! Because he will be the greatest champion we have ever seen!
And it does not matter who shows up, because the result will be the same: Kyle will have HIS hand raised! And get used to seeing this image! Because Kyle will be TNT Champion for a very, very, VERY, VERY long… time! The Aussie Arrow is daring the AEW roster to become his target, will he shoot them all down on the way to the top of the mountain?

Alicia Atout is with The Rated R Superstar, and brings up last week when Christian Cage shared an apology that had not a single shred of remorse. Then we saw the brutal Con-Chair-To by Kip Sabian & Nick Wayne. What is Cope’s take on all this? Cope says he isn’t sure what his take is, because like Alicia said, Christian had zero remorse. His apology wasn’t even an apology, and he has learned nothing. Christian has no concept of what he’s been last year, and that truly is an a-hole. But here is what Cope does know: Christian has his hands full with Kip, Nick & Shayna, which brings Cope to who he has his hands full with in FTR & Stokely.
Cope knows he can’t get within 200 feet of FTR, but that means FTR can’t get within 200 feet of him, which works out pretty well. Because Cope just talked with Tony Khan, and next week, for the first time ever, 1v1, it is The Rated R Superstar VS… #BigStoke! And yeah, if FTR interferes at all, the restraining order is null and void. So FTR has a choice: interfere and open up the door to Cope kicking their asses; or stand there and throw Stokely to the wolf. And trust Cope, he will tear Stokely apart, piece by piece. The choice is theirs, see you in Cincinnati! Cope heads out, will FTR sacrifice their pawn? Or will they finally give Cope the fight he really wants?

While they got one hell of a fight out of The Outrunners, The Founding Fathers- get stuck behind the fancy lifting tron! They do their best but they can’t lift it, so they have to crawl underneath it! And then Justin Roberts indeed reads their message verbatim: “Hey, Justin, exclamation point. You think you’re funny, question mark. When you introduce us tonight, you introduce us tonight, exclamation point.” Nick shouts he’s not supposed to read THAT part! “You tell them where we are from comma, what we weigh comma, and say our names with the respect and dignity we deserve so we don’t look like jobbers.”
Nick says yeah, but now he’s still screwing up! The Bucks flex, they get BOOM BOOM but no pyro? Wait, there’s one. And then another. Matt says haha, very funny! Wait, the jokey entrance is back! Max & Jeremy!? That was Generation ME!! The Bucks demand to know who is doing this to them! Will it matter if they lose to #Brodido? Or will Matt & Nick be the only ones laughing when they go to the finals?
The fans troll The Bucks with chants of “JOBBERS~! JOBBERS~!” The teams sort out and Nick starts against Bandido. They circle, tie up, and Bandido headlocks. Bandido keeps the fans fired up while Brody SMACKS Matt off the apron. Nick is in the ring, Bandido brings him around, but Nick JAWBREAKERS free! Nick tags Matt, he runs up, but into a scoop and BACKBREAKER! Bandido SUPERKICKS Matt down, then conducts the Cleveland fans on singing “Young Bucks are Jobbers~!” Bandido clamps onto Matt at the ropes, the ref counts, but Bandido stomps Matt down. Bandido brings Matt around to tag Brody, and they mug Matt in the corner. Brody snapmares Matt, CHOPS him down, and Matt reaches out for Nick. Nick says hold on, not yet. Brody grins and whips Matt back to the corner for a SPLASH!

Dynamite returns to single picture as they sit Bandido up, but they still haven’t decided what to call The EVP Trigger now that they’re not EVPs. They eventually settle on “YOUNG BUCKS TRIGGER!” but then Bandido YANKS them into each other! The Bucks hobble, Bandido DOUBLE RANAS! The fans fire up and Bandido hot tags Brody! Brody CHOPS and CHOPS and CHOPS again! Then he ELBOWS Matt, DECKS Nick, and SPLASHSE Matt in a corner! Brody whips Matt into Nick, and he SPLASHES them both again! Renee is with Montel Vontavious Porter, Shelton Benjamin & Bobby Lashley to ask them about #Brodido with the upset over The Bucks. Brody & Bandido now face FTR in the finals of this tournament, the winners challenging The Hurt Syndicate for the tag titles at Forbidden Door. What does The Hurt Syndicate see in a team like #Brodido? MVP says they’re magnificent! He wants to extend them a huge congratulations. Furthermore, MVP gives best wishes to the final two teams fighting for the opportunity to face Lashley & Shelton. Whoever they face at Forbidden Door, the champs will be more than glad to hurt them.
But then in steps MFJ. Shelton & Lashley step out without a word to MJF, and MJF says with all due respect, MVP has known him since he was 18. They don’t need “Bob” or Shelton, they just need each other so that together, they can become AEW World Champion. MVP tells Max that he just doesn’t get it! Now he’s talking about “we?” MVP told MJF that if he joined the Syndicate, “we” hurt people! And since MJF joined, all it has been is “Me, me, me, I, I, I, mine, mine, mine!” But MJF’s ego is more than anyone can stand, and taht’s coming from MVP. So… It is what it is, brother. Thumbs down, MJF is officially out of The Hurt Syndicate.
But as MVP’s last act of kindness, because he does love MJF like a brother, the Syndicate will leave MJF in one healthy piece so that he may pursue “your big beautiful belt.” MJF says, “It’s not personal, it’s just business.” MVP says that is where MJF is wrong for once. And MVP says because he loves MJF like a brother, he hopes MJF fails this endeavor. Because if MJF succeeds, well… Bobby Lashley will be coming for MJF, and it won’t be business, it’ll be very, very personal. MVP leaves, MJF tells the cameraman to get out of his face. Is the Scumbag ever going to see the real root of his problems? Or will the “Devil’s” pride cost him more than just his friends?

Alicia Atout is with Cash Wheeler, Dax Harwood & #BigStoke to bring up Cope’s challenge for next week. Cope VS Stoke 1v1, FTR has to choose how to handle it, what’re their thoughts? Dax says as if they didn’t have enough stress for next week with the tag team tournament finals, now they have “Adam.” But they see right through Adam! They know what he’s doing! And just remember, FTR got the restraining order for Adam’s health, for Adam’s well-being. They want Ruby & Lyric to grow up with a father. They want Beth to grow old with a loving husband. Please, Adam, do not make FTR do this to them.
Cash says yes, they see through Adam, they know his games, they know him better than anybody. They even told #BigStoke he didn’t have to be in Cincy next week, but he insists. And do you know why? Because he is the bigger, braver man. And when he is done with Cope, FTR can’t be held responsible. Stoke tells Adam that he can’t believe in Adam’s “old age,” he has chosen to do this! Look at Stokely! He is not a wrestler, he represents the greatest tag team alive today! And he is also injured! So they see through Cope! He is a bully! And if you think Stokely hasn’t been in a fight before, Cope is wrong! Stokely is short, bald, can’t get any hos, he’s been fighting his entire life!

Renee says it is official for Forbidden Door: Kazuchika Okada VS Swerve Strickland for the Unified Championship! Okada is arguably the best “big match” wrestler on the planet, but there’s also The Don Callis Family. Is Swerve worried going into the match? Swerve says there isn’t much to be concerned since they can’t be ringside, given the Unified Championship uses Continental Rules.
In fact, the last time Don Callis was ringside for one of Swerve’s matches, Swerve and Nana put Callis on his ass and Swerve walked away still AEW World Champion. Last year’s Forbidden Door, Swerve had to put down someone he held near and dear, a good friend in Will Ospreay. And if Swerve could do that to his friend, what do you think he’s gonna do to Okada? So Okada, the best big match wrestler in the world, a Japanese wrestling legend, the Unified Champion, all of those things are factually true and Swerve even agrees with a few of ’em. But while they say Okada is a generational wrestler, once in a thousand years, Swerve is something no one has seen before.
There has never been a Swerve Strickland before, and when he is done, there will never been another Swerve Strickland. The fans cheer that! Swerve says three different occasions, Okada has come after him, all the way back to Blood & Guts, and the last two weeks in Chicago! Okada has stared Swerve down eye to eye, and Swerve saw nothing. If anything, Okada looked into Swerve’s eyes and saw death. Swerve put the fear of God into that man! This isn’t just a big match for the fans, for AEW, or for the wrestling world! This is a big match for OKADA! Okada is facing off against the Most Dangerous Man in AEW, and that is SWERVE!
The fans fire up again, and Swerve says this isn’t just about Okada, either. This is Swerve’s redemption, and the chip he has on his shoulder. Swerve lost two of the biggest matches in his career, back to back in London, one was the main event world championship match. Swerve devised himself a little plan. Swerve will define his legacy by defeating the REAL Japanese Legend, and then he will stand in the middle of that ring, in the O2 Arena, over the defeated body that is Kazuchika Okada.
And while Don Callis cries in the corner like the little b*tch that he is, Swerve will have his arm raised, Unified Championship in hand, and everyone in London will scream and chant his name! “Whose House?“ “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” Nana does his dance, but will Swerve’s House be celebrating even bigger after Forbidden Door?

Alicia Atout is with the Sussex County Chicken and says that in moments, he has the grudge match main event with MJF. Yes, and the time for words is behind us. Tonight, he’ll do his talking with his fists. MJF, the day of atonement is here! And tonight, MJF pays for his sins. Alicia says if Mark does win tonight, this match would mark a fourth consecutive main event win, which could put him into contention for the AEW World Championship. Well, speaking of, in steps Hangman Page! The Cowboy says he’s known Mark 13, maybe 14 years now. And that’s from ROH, NJPW and now AEW. Hangman always looked up to and admired The Briscoes.
And the person Mark is, the person Mark decided to be every day for the past few years, Hangman admires that even more. So if Mark wins tonight, and Hangman knows as well as anyone that Mark can, then hopefully Alicia is right. Hangman hopes Mark is the next challenger for the AEW World Championship. Hangman wishes Mark luck, they shake hands, and Hangman heads out. Will Briscoe beat some repentance out of MJF? Or will “The Devil” snake his way past Chicken and head for the gold?

Renee is with the One True African Queen as she says unfortunately, Aminata did not win the Fatal 4 Way, she will not be heading for Forbidden Door and the AEW TBS Championship. Renee imagines emotions are running pretty high. Aminata says yes, because she is sure if she faced “Juicy Mone,” she would win. Willow Nightingale steps in and says she is also sorry things didn’t go Aminata’s way. But she did so great out there. Willow says they can take care of Skye, Julia, and even Thekla. Because this Saturday on Collision, it will be Willow, Aminata, Tay Melo- Oh, Kris Statlander steps in now and forces a bit of a group hug.
Kris sarcastically says it is “so beautiful” seeing women supporting women. This is amazing! And Willow showed up for Kris last week so Kris is here to show up for her, and Aminata, and Renee, and in honor of woman hood. Speech! Speech! Willow says okay, sure. Willow brings up how Kris said she was moving on, focusing on herself, but she’s done anything but that. Willow is here to do three things: smile; win matches; and straighten out anyone who gets in the way of the first two. So when Kris is ready to take that seriously, then talk to Willow. Kris says wow. Then she throws her “confetti” and runs. Willow has no idea what’s going on with Kris, but will she get to the bottom of it herself?

This one has been building for weeks, and even affected the Casino Gauntlet. The NEW CMLL World Light Heavyweight Champion, or as he puts it, THE CMLL World Champion, is looking to become THE AEW World Champion, but will he be one step closer to that? Or will he fail to #ManUp against #DemBoys?
The bell rings and the fans fire up behind Briscoe. MJF tells the fans to calm down, then he takes a swing! Briscoe dodges, kicks low, then fires haymakers! Briscoe backs MJF down, reels him in, but MJF wrenches out of the underhooks to BITE Briscoe’s forehead! The ref counts, especially as MJF puts Briscoe in the corner. MJF stops at 4, tells the fans to shove it, then runs back in. But Briscoe ROCKS MJF! MJF falls, Briscoe goes up, FROGGY- NO, MJF rolls away. Briscoe hops down off the corner and he builds speed! MJF hurries away, and says enough of this! MJF hops the barriers! And he even throws a fan’s hat away!
The fans boo but Briscoe hops the barriers to UPPERCUT MJF! The fans fire up, the ref hurries to follow these guys, and Briscoe beats on MJF as he goes up the bleachers! The fans cheer, the brawling continues up and up, and Briscoe rains down fists! The ref reprimands, this has to end in the ring! The fans cheer and Briscoe high-fives a few before chasing MJF back to ground level. Briscoe catches up, UPPERCUTS MJF, and he TOSSES MJF back over barriers! Briscoe grabs a chair, has fans move aside so he can set it up, and Briscoe runs to leap off the chair to go up and over the barriers! BLOCKBUSTER to the floor!
Cleveland is all fired up for Briscoe, and he goes looking under the ring! Briscoe brings out a TABLE! The fans fire up as Briscoe sets the table up ringside, but MJF CLOBBERS Briscoe! MJF CLAWS Briscoe’s eyes, whips him, but Briscoe reverses! MJF hits POST, then he flounders into the ring! Briscoe climbs up, but MJF rolls away again! Briscoe hops down, MJF wants mercy, but then he uses the ref as a shield! The fans boo, Briscoe moves the ref aside, but MJF CLAWS the eyes again! MJF stomps a mudhole into Briscoe, the fans boo, and the ref counts. MJF whips Briscoe to WRING him into a corner!
The fans boo more but MJF soaks up the heat. MJF tells Cleveland to shut their mouths, then goes back to Briscoe. MJF clamps onto a chinlock, but Briscoe fights up. The fans rally as Briscoe fires body shots, but MJF CLUBS Briscoe. MJF back suplexes, Briscoe lands out, and Briscoe back suplexes! MJF lands out, then he waistlocks again, back suplex into a CUTTER! Cover, TWO! Briscoe toughs it out but MJF seethes. MJF storms up and CLAWS Briscoe on the back! Briscoe goes to a corner, MJF CLAWS Briscoe’s face, but he stops as the ref counts. The fans boo, MJF soaks that up, and he digs his boot into Briscoe!
The ref counts again, MJF stops at 4, and MJF stands Briscoe up. MJF suplexes and then hangs Briscoe out to dry! Briscoe then flops off the ropes and writhes. MJF soaks up more heat while Dynamite goes picture in picture.
MJF struts around, taunts the fans, then goes back to Briscoe. MJF drags Briscoe up to KNEE him in the side. MJF RAMS Briscoe into the corner again and again, then whips corner to corner hard! Briscoe falls back, MJF knees just to flex, and he even makes the pecs dance. MJF talks trash on Briscoe, talks trash on the fans for cheering Briscoe, then he CHOKES Briscoe on the ropes! The ref counts, MJF steps off, and the fans rally up again. MJF storms up on Briscoe, whips him corner to corner hard, and Briscoe falls back. MJF taunts the fans again, tells them all to shove it, then drags Briscoe back up.
MJF whips, kitchen sink KNEES Briscoe down, then drags him back up. Briscoe JAWBREAKERS MJF away! MJF staggers, Briscoe fires hands, then runs, only for MJF to KNEE him low! MJF wraps Briscoe up in a COBRA TWIST, then grabs the ropes for leverage! The ref looks over, MJF stops, and MJF puts on the pressure. But then MJF reaches out and grabs the ropes again! The ref looks again, MJF stops again, but the ref is getting suspicious. MJF puts on the pressure, but he again grabs the ropes! Dynamite returns to single picture as the ref finally catches MJF! The fans cheer, MJF says who cares, shut up! The ref KICKS MJF’s arm off the ropes!
The fans fire up, and then Briscoe HIP TOSSES MJF down! The fans fire up and Briscoe watches MJF rise. Briscoe dodges MJF to CHOP! Then he dodges again to CHOP! MJF KNEES low, snarls, and he scuffs Briscoe. MJF CLUBS Briscoe, but Briscoe powers up! MJF CLUBS Briscoe again and again but Briscoe just gets stronger for it! The fans fire up, Briscoe ROCKS MJF with haymaker after haymaker! Briscoe whips, MJF reverses, but Briscoe FLYING FOREARMS! The fans fire up again and Briscoe runs at MJF in the corner! SPLASH, then EXPLODER! MJF flounders, Briscoe runs in again, BOOT!

The fans fire up again and Briscoe high-fives the front row. Briscoe drags MJF up, ROCKS him with a right, and MJF staggers around the way. Briscoe CHOPS MJF, and they’re at the table! Briscoe puts MJF on the table, rains down fists, then goes up the corner!

The fans rally up, Briscoe reaches out, but MJF drags him away! Briscoe continues to endure, even as MJF sits deep! The fans rally harder and harder, and Briscoe tucks and rolls to drag MJF down! Cradle, TWO!! MJF escapes in time, and Briscoe runs up! MJF TOSSES Briscoe out and has Briscoe in the ropes!
MJF reels Briscoe in, but Briscoe TOSSES MJF away! The fans fire up, Briscoe climbs, but MJF hits the ropes! Briscoe falls to be stuck on the top rope! MJF rises, he climbs up after Briscoe, and he drags Briscoe onto his shoulder! The fans freak out already, but Briscoe fights by clicking his heels! Briscoe slips around, and he BITES MJF’s forehead! Payback for earlier, and now Briscoe slips around. Briscoe turns MJF around so he can UPPERCUT him off the corner! The fans fire up, Briscoe adjusts, FROGGY-BOW!! Briscoe crawls to the cover, TWO!! After all that, MJF survives! Briscoe huffs ‘n’ puffs and the fans are thunderous for him!
Briscoe goes out after MJF, ROCKS him, and MJF is back on the table! Briscoe rains down more fists, then he goes back up the corner! Briscoe wanted it earlier, he still wants it now! The fans fire up as Briscoe reaches the top, FROGGY-BOW but MJF moves!! Briscoe crashes through the table all on his own!! The fans lose their minds while Briscoe is down in the wreckage! MJF hurries to have the ref start the ring count! The count does start, and the fans boo that MJF would accept this kind of win! The count is 5 of 10, and Briscoe rises up! Briscoe pushes off the ground at 7, but he flops back down! We hit 9, but Briscoe springs in at 9.99!
MJF KNEES Briscoe in the ropes!! Then he has Briscoe for the HEATSEEKER!! Cover, ROPEBREAK, but the ref doesn’t see it!?! MJF wins!!
Winner: MJF, by pinfall
MJF makes sure to swat Briscoe’s foot off the bottom rope to hide the evidence! MJF snatches up the CMLL title to celebrate! He tells the front row, “I love you! I love you! You suck! I love you!” But then MJF just adds insult to injury by beating down on Briscoe! The fans boo as hard as they can, but then MJF takes out the Dynamite Diamond Ring! MJF puts it on, takes aim, and he DECKS Briscoe! The fans boo, MJF kisses the ring, but here comes Hangman! The Cowboy is pissed, and he runs right down the ramp! MJF meets him, they brawl, and the fans fire up again! Security rushes out here to separate them, but Cleveland wants to “LET THEM FIGHT! LET THEM FIGHT!”
MJF runs away, but Hangman goes to check his friend. Briscoe is busted open from that diamond ring punch, and MJF shouts at Hangman from the crowd. Hangman rushes out there to go after MJF again! The fans fire up again but the security rushes in! Hangman is punching security, too! He gets at MJF, MJF hits back, and Cleveland is loving this! Refs rush in but the brawling just keeps going! Hangman drags MJF over to TOSS him back to ringside! They throw hands all over, bumping into commentary and the ring! Hangman puts MJF in the ring, and he takes aim from the apron! Hangman throws his jacket off, but MJF runs away!
MJF gets way out of range of The Buckshot, but he’ll have to deal with Hangman soon enough if he wants to be champion. Will MJF have no choice but to execute that contract on The Cowboy? Or will MJF force Hangman’s hand?
My Thoughts:
A great Dynamite here, maybe even awesome, with all these things going towards Forbidden Door. For one, they “threw” Moxley VS Bailey together as the opener so that Darby could issue his challenge to Moxley for Forbidden Door. Great stuff from both the match and the Darby stuff, and Moxley VS Darby is going to be awesome, too. Great promo from Toni & Alex, and how clever for Alex “unintentionally” using innuendo because she’s hanging out with Toni too much. Good promo from Mone just having attitude with Renee, and then great Fatal 4 Way to not only send Alex to Forbidden Door but to also build stories. Athena hitting that O-Face made me think she was cashing in, but no, she just wants to show how easy it is to hit Toni with that.
Very good promo from Aminata, Willow and Kris to not only hype up the Six Woman Tag for Saturday but also to tease us on a Willow VS Kris match. Great promo segment from The Don Callis Family, and of course Don made another really creepy painting of him and his new golden boy. Okada’s belts being present but Okada himself being absent was odd, but maybe it works with how Swerve was here tonight and Okada doesn’t wanna give Swerve a chance to go after him. Very good promo from Swerve, but maybe he had a lot of thoughts to get out at once because there were some hesitations and stumbles. But Swerve is Swerve, he still did great, and I like that he pointed out the Unified Championship has (hopefully) the Continental Championship Rules so it’ll just be Swerve VS Okada.
Good promo from Cope to set up his match with Stokely, and great response promo from Stokely & FTR. FTR have to focus on their tag match, I bet they really will leave Stoke to fight Cope alone and then lose. Great promo from The Bucks with Renee and that random production guy, and then just great stuff with their entrance. I love AEW “trolling” The Bucks and great reactions from The Bucks. Awesome tag match with #Brodido, and I did NOT think Brodido would win. Great choice there, FTR VS Brodido is going to be awesome, and whoever faces Hurt Syndicate, that’ll be an awesome match.
Speaking of, good promo from Hurt Syndicate to wish FTR and Brodido luck, and then to officially kick MJF out. Great solo promo from MJF at the start of the show, very good promo from Mark with Hangman, and then a great main event. Very good ring psychology with MJF constantly avoiding the Froggy-Bow to make Briscoe more and more obsessed with hitting it until it “backfires” with the table spot. MJF hiding the ropebreak was a nice touch, too, it gives MJF his win while keeping Briscoe strong. Great brawl to close the show, and naturally MJF runs away to cut it off.
I wonder if MJF tries to get at Hangman during the Six Man Tag set up for Collision, that match seems so random that it has to be so MJF can try it. After all, Hangman is daring MJF to do it, so maybe MJF gives Hangman want he wants. Plus, what a way to ruin Hangman’s homecoming since they’ll be in Virginia.

The teams don’t sort out as The Rascalz just DIVE onto The Dogs! The fans fire up as then Top Flight PLANCHA onto Moxley & Pac! Claudio is caught off guard, and Myron DUMPS him out! Claudio runs back in, he pops Myron up, but Myron slips free! Myron goes Matrix, PELES, and the bell rings! Claudio tumbles out, Myron throws off his shirt and builds speed to FLY! Down go Claudio & Pac! The fans fire up as Myron high-fives with Top Flight. The Dogs turn things around on Dez & Zach, and the brawl is all over ringside! Myron GUILLOTINE LEG DROPS Moxley in the ropes! Myron goes up, up, and CROSSBODIES into the UPPERCUT! Claudio turns the tables and the fans fire up while Collision goes picture in picture.
Moxley flexes while he paces around Myron, then drags him around. Moxley pushes Myron to a cover, ONE! Moxley grabs Myron’s legs, stomps him in the gut, and the rest of the team is throwing The Rascalz around on the outside! Moxley drags Myron around to clamp on a headlock, and he grinds Myron down. Myron endures, just working to avoid a Bully Choke, only to end up in a straitjacket. Moxley then short arm LARIATS Myron down! Tag to Claudio, he and Moxley mug Myron, then tag to Pac. They double whip to scoop, BACKBREAKER, and basement DROPKICK! Cover, TWO! Myron toughs it out but Pac stays close.
Pac taunts Myron and The Rascalz, then stomps Myron down. Pac bumps Myron off buckles, tags Finlay, and Finlay tags Connors. The Dogs mug Myron, then BROKEN ARROW sends Myron flying! Connors runs to BASEMENT SHOULDER TACKLE! Cover, TWO! Connors clamps onto Myron with a chinlock and grinds him down. Myron endures, Collision returns to single picture, and the fans rally up. Myron fights to his feet, fires body shots, but Connors CLUBS him down! Connors snap suplexes, then looms over Myron. Connors grabs a leg, Myron kicks at him, but Connors scuffs Myron. Myron kicks harder now and kicks free!
The fans rally but Connors grabs another leg! Connors ducks the enzigiri, and Finlay CLOBBERS Myron! The Death Riders BLAST The Rascalz & Top Flight for good measure! The fans are torn but The Dogs soak it all up. The Dogs then double suplex, but Myron lands out! He goes Matrix again to DOUBLE CUTTER! The fans fire up as Myron crawls! Hot tag to Dez! But then Top Flight & Zach DIVE to wipe out the rest! Dez fires off on The Dogs, fires a strike fest and a CUTTER on Finlay! Then he dodges Connors to handspring and PELE! Cover, TWO!! Connors survives but Dez brings him up and around.
Connors waistlocks, Dez switches, then Dez RAMS Connors into the corner! ENZIGIRI! Tag to Zach before the trip and CATAPULT into the SUPERKICK! Zach goes up, DOUBLE STOMP BACKBREAKER! Finlay is in the corner, Dez UPPERCUTS! Zach DROPKICKS! Myron gets the boost to go up, out, and back in, but Finlay stops the Code Breaker to THROW Myron at Zach! Then DOUBLE SPEAR from The Dogs!! But Myron & Zach GAMANGIRI, and CODE BREAKER, all in stereo! But Pac & Moxley BOOT them out! Darius DECKS Pac! Bring your best, do your worst, but it won’t matter, because Jack IS the National Champion so F U! The cameraman says they’re not allowed to swear. So Jack throws him off the bus! The Jack Perry National Tour continues tonight in Peoria, but will it also end tonight? Or will Jack not stop until he’s out of gas?
AEW National Championship: “Jungle” Jack Perry VS Mascara Dorada!
The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see if Illinois is about that Tarzan Life!
The bell rings and the fans cheer Jack as he circles with Dorada. They shake hands and the fans applaud that show of sportsmanship. The two tie up, Jack wrenches to a wristlock, but Dorada rolls, cartwheels, then uses the ropes to flip through! Dorada arm-drags Jack away and the fans applaud. Jack nods, that was good. The two go again, circle, and Jack trips Dorada. Jack facelocks, rolls with Dorada, then shifts to a headlock. Dorada powers up but can’t power out as Jack hits a takeover! Dorada rolls to a cover, ONE, and Jack holds on. Dorada powers up and out this time, but Jack RUNS him over! The fans cheer as things keep moving, and Jack handsprings over the dropdown!
Things get going again, Jack hurdles, then MONKEY FLIPS and DROPKICKS! Jack kips up and the fans cheer! Jack takes a bow while Dorada takes a moment to catch his breath. Jack stands Dorada up to CHOP him down, then he whips Dorada to ropes. Dorada handsprings, Jack dodges, and things keep moving! Dorada FLIP RANAS and Jack tumbles! The fans fire up for Dorada now, and he brings Jack up. Jack CHOSP Dorada again, then knuckle locks. Jack goes up, up, jumps around, and arm-drags Dorada away! Dorada knuckle locks, CHOPS, and he goes up, up, steadies himself, then pinballs around to arm-drag Jack!
The fans fire up as Jack tumbles out. Dorada TORNILLOS and down goes Jack! Dorada high-fives fans, then stands on railing to have everyone cheer. The ref double checks Jack but he’s alright. Dorada has the fans chanting for “LUCHA! LUCHA!” Jack ROCKS Dorada, then POSTS Him! Then Jack swings on the corner to KICK Dorada down! Jack refreshes the ring count, runs up on Dorada, but Dorada puts Jack in the crowd! Jack SLAPS back, SLAPS again, then goes up onto the railing to bring Dorada up to join him! The fans fire up as these two brawl on the literal edge! Jack tries but Dorada fights the suplex!
Dorada fires body shots, then hops on, BARRIER DESTROYER!! The fans go nuts as both Jack and Dorada are down, and Collision goes picture in picture.
The ref checks both men, and somehow they’re both okay to continue. Dorada crawls to the steel steps and the fans rally behind him. Dorada hobbles his way over to Jack, puts him in the ring, then stomps him around. Dorada stands Jack up to CHOP! Jack sputters as he drops down, but Dorada stands him back up. Jack CHOPS Dorada, but Dorada SUPERKICKS back! Jack is down, Dorada fires up, and Dorada clamps on with a chinlock. Dorada grinds Jack down, leans on the hold, but Collision goes to break.
Collision returns as Dorada is up top! 450- NO, Dorada bails out as Jack moves! Dorada comes back, Jack dodges, but Dorada goes up and up to backflip off the corner! Dorada whips Jack corner to corner, but Jack goes up and over to GERMAN SUPELX! But Dorada lands out! Jack SUPERKICKS! Jack runs, but into a SUPERKICK! Dorada reels Jack in, suplexes, but Jack slips free to POISON-RANA! Jack runs, but into a CODE RED!! Both men are down and the fans are thunderous! A standing count starts, but both men are up at 4 of 10. Dorada CHOPS Jack, then ROCKS him at the ropes. Dorada fires more shots, but stops as the ref counts.
Dorada whips, Jack reverses, and Jack manages a BLUE THUNDER BOMB! Cover, TWO! Dorada survives but Jack points to the fans. The fans fire up and Jack stands Dorada up. Jack CHOPS Dorada down, then CHOPS him to the corner. Jack fires forearms in the corner, but stops as the ref counts 4. Jack whips but Dorada reverses. Dorada runs up, Jack puts him on the apron, but Dorada GAMANGIRIS! The fans fire up again as Dorada springboards, but Jack BLASTS him down! Dorada hits the floor, and Jack goes up! ARIHARA MOONSAULT! Down goes Dorada but Jack puts him in the ring! Jack hurries to then gut wrench and deadlift!
Jack holds Dorada up, then powers through to DOCTOR BOMB! Cover, TWO!! Dorada survives and Jack is shocked, but the fans continue to rally up. Jack climbs up, rains down fists, and the fans count all the way to nine. Jack kisses his fist, but Dorada avoids ten to then tiger feint sweep the legs! Then Electric Chair Lift, STRAITJACKET NECKBREAKER!! Cover, TWO?!? Jack survives, “This is Awesome!” Dorada drags Jack to the drop zone, goes up the corner, and the fans rally again. Dorada goes back up, takes aim, and 450 SPLASH!! Cover, TWO!! Jack survives and now Dorada is shocked! The fans rally again as Dorada stalks Jack to the apron. Dorada stomps away, then drags Jack up. Dorada calls his shot, but Jack THROWS Dorada away! Jack ROCKS Dorada, Dorada SUPERKICKS back! But Jack SUPERKICKS Dorada! Jack goes up, leaps, and FLYING RANAS Dorada to the floor! Jack hurries to put Dorada back in, goes back up the corner, and FLYING- KNEE from Dorada!! Dorada reels Jack in, Canadian Rack, DOMINATOR!! Cover, TWO?!?! Jack survives and no one can believe it!
Dorada is frustrated with how close and yet how far he was, but fans hope these two, “FIGHT FOREVER!” Dorada goes up, up, and aims again! SHOOTING STAR PRESS but onto knees!! Cover, TWO!! Dorada survives but Jack puts him back in the corner. Jack puts Dorada up top, climbs up after him, but Dorada ROCKS Jack! And ROCKS him again! And again! Shida again says she is so sorry, Stat, and that she will make it up to her! That’s why Shida got Kris another tag match! But against THESE TWO! Harley acts surprised, and sarcastically asks if Shida is really allowing herself to wrestle someone not on her level. Can she even talk to someone “not” on her level or what? How does this work? Shida says enough, Harley! You don’t even deserve to touch the kendo stick! Shida then uses Japanese to hide her comments about Harley & Mina having nothing but bosoms.
Mina says enough! Stat, how can you still trust Shida? How can you give her another chance? And… Where was Kris the night Toni was attacked? Shida says enough about Toni! Harley tries to reason with Kris, but Kris storms off. So is that a yes to the match? Then the only hope this Women’s Division has is if the gods themselves take mercy on their souls and strike these two down. Otherwise, just stop trying. Hook argues with the ref as a further distraction so Shibata can stand Knight up. Hook KNEES Knight, then whips him hard into railing! Hook CLUBS Knight, soaks up heat, then goes to the ring. Hook tried to take this title, even had Shibata-sensei there to tip the scales, but it just wasn’t enough to stop The Jet from taking off! But will Knight soon make himself a double champion? Or will Darby Allin’s relentless reign not stop just yet?
My Thoughts:
A great Collision to follow a great Dynamite, but naturally status quo is kept with all these title matches. I liked the Jurassic Express National Tour vignette, and that was an awesome match in Jack VS Dorada. Anna Jay also looked great in her return, but of course Willow wins to keep the TBS title. Good promo from after Dynamite with Kris being rightfully angry with Shida, and good promo from #Shidalander with Harley & Mina. I feel like they can do a two-in-one, where Shidalander falls apart to set up their feud, while also giving Harley & Mina reason to become a team to help bolster the Women’s Tag Division.
Speaking of, very good promo from Divine Dominion to address how they’re dominating the division. There are only so many teams in the tag division so we need an influx of more, maybe have some crossover with Stardom and CMLL real quick, really spice things up as we get closer to Forbidden Door. Skye Blue of course won, and pretty dominantly at that. I can’t tell if Julia Hart is resting from an injury or what but she wasn’t even ringside for Skye, hopefully things are alright. Very fun trios match from Conglomeration VS MXM TV, great win for Conglomeration, but AEW needs to figure out more trios. Putting Ciampa with FTR is still a great team, but they gotta get longer running teams going, like LFI or maybe even Shane Taylor Promotions.
Awesome stuff with that 10 Man Tag, so wild and chaotic in a good way, but I figured Death Riders & Dogs would win. The Dogs need to stay afloat without Gabe Kidd as their anchor, and there’s the whole story with Ospreay that Death Riders need to stay strong for. Great tag match from Yuta & Garcia VS Ace & Juice, too, and great win for Bang Bang Gang. Especially with a return from Austin & Colten Gunn, because now we can get Bang Bang Gang VS Death Riders in an 8 Man Tag, someone going after the Continental Championship for it, who knows what else. For that matter, Bang Bang Gang needs to get back in those tag and trios divisions to at least bolster the ranks.
And great main event with the TNT Championship. Hook looked good for most of this, but the German Suplex was a bit janky. Thankfully, Knight is so tall and athletic that he made himself look even cooler in his escape. Knight of course won, mostly because it is more exciting if he has a chance of becoming Jet Two Belts. He won’t, because Darby and MJF are still building towards their rematch for Double or Nothing, but Knight will look awesome again. If anything, Knight VS Shibata should be the TNT title match for Double or Nothing, that’s a great story of student and teacher they can easily reference in the build.

The Jet called out The Scumbag for sneaking away with a win when they battled for the AEW World Championship, and wants to prove that this title is for truly the best wrestlers! But will Knight be #2Fly2Stop? Or will Maxwell Jacob Friedman look to put more gold on his resumé?
The introductions are made, and MJF makes sure Justin Roberts says, “He doesn’t hail from a white trash state like Virginia…” The belt is raised, and we see who is truly the Face of TNT!
The bell rings and the fans fire up already. The two step up, but MJF kicks low! MJF TOSSES Knight out, then hurries to THROW Knight into the steel steps! Then he whips Knight hard into the railing! Knight writhes, the fans boo, but MJF soaks up heat. MJF talks trash as he reels Knight in, lift shim up, and BARRIER BOMBS him! The fans boo but MJF takes the camera to film while he scuffs Knight. “He’s a nobody!” MJF puts Knight in the ring, tells fans to shut up, and he pushes Knight to a cover, ONE!! Knight toughs it out but MJF clamps on tight. The fans rally as Knight endures and fights around. Knight rises, fires body shots, then runs.
Knight ducks ‘n’ dodges to springboard and CROSSBODY! Knight keeps moving, ducks ‘n’ dodges more, but MJF ELBOWS Knight down! The fans boo but MJF drags Knight up again for a back suplex. Knight lands out, back suplexes, but MJF lands out! Another back suplex, but into the CUTTER! Cover, TWO! MJF argues with the ref but the count was fair. MJF huffs ‘n’ puffs as he storms over to Knight at the apron. The fans taunt him about his hair but MJF just frowns. MJF drags Knight up, but Knight HOTSHOTS MJF away! Knight hurries in, slides under, then hurdles over to SATELLITE DDT! Both men are down but the fans fire up!
The fans rally again as both men rise up. MJF stands first, storms up, but Knight counter punches! Knight fires haymakers, fires body shots, then has MJF on the ropes! The fans fire up as Knight fires off, but the ref backs Knight off! Knight storms back up, whips, but MJF reverses. Knight goes up and over, hurdles again, then DROPKICKS! The fans fire up as both men are back down! But then Knight kips up! Knight is feeling it, and he runs up to UFO SPLASH! Cover, TOW! MJF survives but Knight stays cool. Knight drags MJF around, then climbs the corner. The fans cheer as Knight aims, but MJF hurries out of the ring!
The fans boo but Knight hops down to PLANCHA! Down goes MJF and the fans fire up again! Knight puts MJF back in, but MJF hurries back out! The fans boo again, but Knight builds speed! Knight DIVES and down goes MJF yet again! The fans cheer as Knight gets MJF in the ring, but then MJF bails out another side. The fans boo but Knight shrugs and builds speed again. Knight FLIES and that’s three for three! The fans cheer as Knight stands tall on the desk! Knight then brings MJF back into the ring, but MJF says let’s make it four. MJF goes to the ramp side, but Knight says might as well complete the set!
Knight aims, springboards, and FLYING LARIATS MJF down at the ramp! All four sides belong to Knight and the fans are thunderous! Knight drags MJF up, puts him in the ring a fifth time, and now MJF is stuck in the drop zone. Knight is up top, but then MJF just goes to the far side. Knight runs up, MJF DUMPS Knight out, and then the HEAT- NO, Knight powers out! Knight springboards, MJF gets under, but Knight comes back and sunset flips! MJF flails to stay standing, but Knight brings him down to a cover! TWO and MJF sits on Knight, TWO as Knight sunset flips again! TWO and both men stand! SATELLITE denied into a CUTTER! Cover, TWO!
The fans cheer as both men are down again. Knight crawls away to a corner, MJF runs up, but Knight goes up and over. MJF ELBOWS Knight, goes up top, and calls his shot. But Knight BODY SHOTS first! Knight goes up to get MJF, but MJF resists. Knight CLUBS away on MJF, but MJF SHOVES Knight! Knight backflips, but he hobbles from the landing. MJF wobbles, Knight still goes to the UPPER ROOM! MJF is down but Knight clutches his knee. Knight fights through the pain to go to the apron. The fans rally behind Knight as he climbs again, MOTHERSHIP FLOP as MJF moves! MJF hobbles over to Knight, he grabs the leg!
MJF steps through, but Knight BOOTS him away! MJF hits buckles, Knight runs up, but Knight’s leg buckles! MJF SUPERKICKS Knight, then goes up for the LONG ISLAND SUNSRISE! Cover, TWO!! Knight survives the Sunrise and MJF is beside himself! The fans rally up again while both men are down, and Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Knight and MJF stir, Knight still clutching the bad leg. The ref checks him but Knight says he can still go. Knight goes to the ropes, hobbles around, but MJF runs up to KICK the leg out! Knight flounders but MJF stalks him. MJF KICKS the leg out again! Knight flounders against the ropes before falling down. MJF drags Knight to center, talks trash about the leg, then turns Knight over for the HALF CRAB! Dynamite returns to single picture as the fans rally and Knight endures! Knight powers up, crawls his way forward, but MJF drags him back to center! MJF sits deep, even CLUBS the leg, but Knight manages to turn over and BOOT MJF away!
The fans cheer as Knight hobbles up, but he still can’t run! MJF grins, then goes up the corner again, for the LONG- SUPERKICK! Knight suckers MJF in and hurries up the corner himself! The fans fire up for the MOTHERSHIP SPLASH!! But Knight can’t make the pin from how he landed so hard! Knight crawls his way back to cover, TWO!! MJF survives thanks to that delay, but the fans know, “This is Awesome!” Knight pounds the mat in frustration, then clutches his leg as he crawls over to the ropes. MJF is on the apron, Knight hobbles and runs up, but MJF blocks the kick! DRAGON SCREW in the ropes! MJF is foaming at the mouth!
MJF DDTS the foot again and again and again! MJF blows snot AND spits on Knight! The fans boo but MJF just snarls as he looms over Knight. MJF Alabama Lifts, and he ALABAMA SLAMS Knight down! Kneeling cover, TWO!! MJF covers again, TWO! Another cover, ONE!!! The fans fire up as Knight refuses to stay down! MJF is furious but the fans cheer Knight on! MJF storms outside, grabs the belt, then snarls as he goes back to the ring. The fans boo but the ref reprimands MJF. Th eref takes the belt, but duh! Dynamite Diamond Ring! But Knight LOW BLOWS MJF first!! Knight cradles, KNIGHT WINS!

MJF is absolutely shocked! He got outsmarted! He got beat at his own dirty game! But then MJF CHOP BLOCKS Knight! The sore loser then scares the ref off before he winds up with that diamond ring. But wait! DARBY ALLIN literally drops in from the ceiling! Darby unhooks himself from the harness, then storms into the ring to dragon sleeper MJF! SCORPION DEATH DROP!! Darby makes sure justice is served, and the fans cheer him on as he gets a mic. MJF also gets a mic, and MJF says, “You people suck! Darby, real typical. Two peas in a pod! Two low life cheaters getting along, huh?!”
But joke’s on you! MJF doesn’t care about Knight, this match doesn’t count, he was barely trying! The fans laugh given how MJF’s red, sweaty and gasping for air. But MJF says what he cares about is HIS Triple B, HIS AEW World Championship! The fans boo but MJF says shut up! MJF wants his rematch! Darby paces, but the fans already chant “NO! NO! NO!” Darby also says, “NO! I’m not giving you that rematch until you put something on the line! And if I survive tonight with Brody King, I think I know exactly who deserves a shot next week.” MJF says MJF, but Darby looks to The Jet. The fans cheer but MJF says don’t even think about it!
But Darby indeed says, it will be Kevin Knight! The fans cheer, but then BRODY KING shows up! The King of Death stares The Devil down, then moves past him to join Darby and Knight in the ring. Brody and Darby stare down, then Brody says, “I have some bad news for you, Darby, cuz you’re not gonna survive tonight! And Jet, I got even worse news for you. Next week, you’re not gonna be facing Darby Allin. You’re gonna be facing the NEW AEW World Champion! ROOF!” The fans cheer that, and Brody returns backstage. The main event is gonna be wild, but who carries the title into next Wednesday?
Backstage interview with Adam Copeland & Christian Cage.
Renee Paquette is with The Rated R Superstar and Captain Charisma, and notes that Cage has a fractured arm, how is he feeling? Cage says his arm feels fine, don’t worry about the arm. Then they also have to address FTR upping the ante on their New York Street Fight by making it part I Quit match. Do they accept? Cage says, “We accept!” Cope says that’s a bit quick given Cage’s history with I Quit matches in AEW. Just saying… Cage says if he’s told you once, he’s told you a thousand times, he never said those words! He didn’t! Cage storms off, Cope says he totally did. But neither of them will say it again. Will C&C be more than ready to make the Top Guys give up?
The Brawling Birds VS Emily Jaye & Jordan Blade!
Jamie Hayter may have missed a week, but she’s back to 100% and ready to pick up where she left off. But will she and Alex Windsor be able to bounce back from losing to Thekla back to back? Or will they get caught off guard by Lady Stunner & The Ankle Breaker?
The teams sort out and Jamie steps to Jordan. They circle as the fans rally, then Jamie blocks a kick to ROCK Jordan! Then she BLASTS Emily just because before she BOOTS Jordan! Jamie bumps Jordan off buckles, DOUBLE CHOPS, then tags Alex. Alex DOUBLE CHOPS, then she tags Jamie! Another DOUBLE CHOP, and then tag back to Alex for a DOUBLE CHOP! Jamie tags back in, The Birds wind up, but Emily runs in! The Birds DOUBLE ELBOW Emily before they DOUBLE DOUBLE CHOP Jordan! Jamie then hauls Jordan up to snap suplex! SLIDING LARIAT and then ground ‘n’ pound! Jamie brings Jordan up, Windsor joins in, DOUBLE HEADBUTTS!

Skye Blue adds that what happened on Collision to Persephone was entirely The Birds’ fault. But getting mist in the face was the best thing to ever happen to Skye, so maybe it opens Perse’s eyes, too. So what happened to Jamie & Alex? They’re supposed to be the big bad Brawling Birds, but they just can’t seem to handle a little ol’ Toxic Spider. Thekla’s advice is to stick with the tag team, because when it is 1v1, Thekla is everything, and they are nothing!
The AEW Women’s World Champion continues to be confident in her toxic dominance, but will someone come along and figure out how to wipe this spider out?

While The Rainmaker wants his fight with The Alpha, Konosuke Takeshita, he still has a duty to defend this title. Will Okada prove what a real champion looks like? Or will The Inevitable make him Fold?

The bell rings and Callis admits, Ace has impressive quads. Too bad his hometown of Atlantic City is a dump. The fans tell off Callis even though he’s just on commentary, and the two tie up. Ace and Okada push each other back and forth, but Okada’s height becomes his leverage. Okada has Ace in a corner, but the ref counts. Okada lets off, then fakes the chop. Okada pats Ace on the shoulders, then stomps low! The fans are torn as Okada stomps a mudhole, but he backs off as the ref counts. Okada soaks up heat, then he ROCKS Ace with a forearm. Okada whips, Ace ducks and rolls to drop toehold and ENZIGIRI!
The fans cheer while Ace steps over to cradle, TWO! Ace DROPKICKS Okada down and the fans fire up! Ace KICKS Okada in the back, then CLUBS his arm. The fans rally as Ace lines up a shot and ROCKS Okada. Okada goes to a corner, Ace KICKS and CLUBS him. Ace whips Okada to ropes but Okada reverses, only for ace to fireman’s carry! Ace does squats to then DEATH VALLEY DRIVER! The fans fire up for “The Quad God” as he poses. Ace runs up, Okada dodges, and Okada comes back. Ace slips into the ropes and Okada hits buckles! Ace then slips back inside to FLYING CHUCK! Okada staggers while the fans fire up again!
Okada bails out, Ace takes aim, but Okada avoids the plancha! Ace avoids the leg sweep, and Okada is stunned to see the handstand! Okada applauds, that’s impressive even to him. But then Ace DROPKICKS Okada again, then PLANCHAS! Okada avoids the impact, kicks low, and DDTS to the floor! Ace writhes and Okada grins while the fans applaud. The ref checks Ace while Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Okada “apologizes” to the ref, then drags Ace up. Okada RAMS Ace into the railing! The ref reprimands, Okada rolls into the ring, but only to refresh the count. Okada then RAMS Ace into more railing! Ace drops to his knees, Okada offers a high-five, and a young fan returns it. The fans applaud that, then Okada offers one to Callis. They high-five, cheapening the moment. Okada puts Ace in the ring, Ace checks his head, but Okada brings him up. Okada bumps Ace hard off buckles! Okada slaps Ace around, then stands him up to whip hard into buckles again! Ace falls back, checking his mouth, but his mouthguard did its part to protect his teeth.
Okada stands Ace up but Ace fires a body shot! And a CHOP! Ace then lifts Okada, but Okada fights free to kick and DDT! Okada pushes Ace over to the cover, TWO! Ace is tougher than that but Okada brushes it off. Okada paces, sneaks a middle finger at the fans, then scuffs Ace. Okada kicks Ace around while Dynamite returns to single picture. Ace stands but Okada Alabama Lifts, tucks, and REVERSE NECKBREAKERS! The fans rally as Okada brings Ace up again. Okada scoops to SLAM Ace in the drop zone! Standard formula says Okada goes up, and he aims for the MACHO ELBOW! Direct hit, and Okada winds up… The Rainmaker Middle Finger!
Okada drags Ace up, wristlocks, but Ace fights the ripcord! They run around and tumble out of the ring! The fans rally up as Ace is on the apron. Okada stands, but he blocks Ace’s Penalty Kick! Okada THROWS Ace, Ace handstands again! Ace then handsprings over the sweep! PENALTY KICK! The fans fire up as Okada staggers around the way. Ace builds speed to FOSBURY FLOP! Ace just manages to clear the apron and the fans fire up for that! Ace gets Okada up and into the ring. Ace climbs, springboards, but Okada dodges! But then Ace fireman’s carries! Okada slips free, ROLLING- NO, Ace blocks to KNEE low!
Ace KICKS and RUSSIAN LEG SWEEPS! Then “CLICK CLICK!” BOOM DROP! The fans fire up for Ace as he runs corner to corner, forearm SMASH! Ace pushes Okada out, springboards, and FLYING LEG DROPS! Cover, TWO!! Okada survives and Ace is stunned! Ace takes out his ace card, and runs up for- A BOOT! Ace still reels Okada in, but Okada fights the suplex. Ace wrenches, Okada rolls Ace, TWO! Okada CLUBS Ace down! Okada drags Ace up, whips him to ropes, but Ace avoids the dropkick! Ace then lines up the shot again, THE- NO, Okada pops Ace up, but Ace sunset flips! TWO!! Okada rises, BOOTS, and Ace falls!

Ace was so close to the jackpot, but Okada isn’t one of the best ever for nothing! Mark Davis congratulates his Don Callis Family brother, while Callis himself SMOTHERS Ace for pushing Okada this far! Juice Robinson scares Callis off, but then wait! Konosuke Takeshita is here! The Alpha stares down Okada, and signals that he’s taking that title. Will Takeshita avenge himself for that Continental Classic controversy? Or will no one dry up the reign?
A country town is in chaos!
They’re all running away from the saloon as someone is putting the hurt on everybody. This man then picks up a wanted poster, the bounty for The Most Wanted, Bandido. And that man… is Swerve Strickland! Prince Nana hands Swerve his lighter, and Swerve burns the bounty. Is The Outlaw about to enter Swerve’s House, and never return?
The Death Riders speak.
While Marina Shafir grapples with Wheeler Yuta, Daniel Garcia says, “This is who we are, and this is how we train. You don’t get to be the best out there until you’re the best in here first.” But then look who walks in! Will Ospreay is here, and Jon Moxley says he has arrived! Did Ospreay get cleared? Nope. Might as well say it now, though: Ospreay is going to Japan, he and the Empire boys have a big title match, and then we’ll see. Moxley says, “Loyalty. You are too good to be true.” Moxley looks to Pac, kinda pokes at him, then says first thing’s first: Moxley needs Ospreay to drop everything.
Everything up here in the mind. The clouds, the vision, the thing that makes you see things up there. Then everything in the heart. The tugs, the pulls. And then everything in the gut, the anger that burns a hole. Drop it all. Excess baggage, they don’t need it. The feelings Ospreay has about Moxley, drop ’em. They don’t need excess baggage. Moxley makes no promises, he is not a miracle worker. But when Moxley makes a commitment to something, he sees it through all the way to the end. All he asks is the same in return. Ospreay nods and says okay. Moxley says beautiful! Ospreay and Pac stare down, but they leave it at that.
Ospreay asks where’s the ring. Moxley says they don’t need a ring. They’re starting from the ground up. The rest is proprietary, so sorry. Moxley pushes the cameraman out of the room, and now the real work begins. Will, or rather, can Ospreay survive the Death Rider dungeon and come out a stronger wrestler on the other side?

While C&C want revenge on FTR so badly, they’re willing to stake their career as a team on it, this is to settle a different score! Will this tag team that reeks of awesomeness bring down Rocky Romero & Trent Beretta? Or will tonight belong to Azucar & #JustTrent?
The teams sort out and Cage starts against Rocky. The fans rally while Cage keeps that bad arm away from Rocky. They tie up, Rocky wrenches the bad arm, then wristlocks. Cage tags Cope and the fans cheer as they THROW Rocky into the corner again and again and again! Then BOOT LEG SWEEP COMBO! Cover, TWO! Rocky toughs it out, but Cope flips off FTR. Cope whips Rocky but Rocky KICKS back! Tag to Trent but Cope kicks and CLUBS Trent! Cope whips, Trent reverses, then Trent drops down to STANDING METEORA! Trent snarls, covers, TWO! Cope is tougher than that but Trent stalks Cope to a corner. Trent pie faces Cope, CHOPS him, then CHOPS again! Trent whips corner to corner, Cope reverses and Trent tumbles up, down, and into a BOOT! The fans cheer as Cope stands tall.
Cope drags Trent up, but Trent powers free! Cope drop toeholds Trent onto the ropes, tags Cage, and Cage stands on Trent to CHOKE him! The ref counts, Cage steps down, and he slingshots to the outside. Cope SPLASHES Trent before Cage UPPERCUTS him down! Cage then drags Trent out, THROWS him into barriers, and the fans cheer as Cage drags him up again. Cage ROCKS Trent, brings him around, and he SMACKS Rocky along the way! Cage puts Trent against the post, but Cash Wheeler shouts at him. Cage grabs Cash through the ropes, but Trent wrenches the bad arm, to SWING it into the POST!
The fans boo as FTRPG Vice are talking trash on C&C, but even Stokely talks trash from commentary. Wait, who is this standing up in the matching hoodies? It’s THE CONGLOMERATION! The fans cheer as Orange Cassidy, Kyle O’Reilly & Roderick Strong make their presence known, and Stokely senses it. Stoke turns around to see Conglomeration having snacks, and Stoke takes a swing!? Cassidy dodges that easily, and then SMACKS Stoke with the popcorn! FTR is furious, but they end up brawling with Conglomeration! RPG Vice mugs Christian while Conglomeration handles FTR & Stokely, off into the crowd!
The fans fire up as this brawl moves through the aisleway, and Cassidy is giving Stokely a noogie to his bald head! But Trent sets Cage up for Rocky’s FLYING KNEE! RPG Vice still has control while Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Rocky talks a lot more trash on Cage, but Cope scares him off! The ref reprimands everyone, and Cope backs off while Trent stands Cage up. Trent whips Cage hard into railing! Trent then tags Rocky, and Rocky digs his boot into Cage’s bad arm against the railing! Rocky puts Cage in the ring, stomps the bad arm again, then drags Cage around. Tag to Trent, they double wrench to double BODY BLOW! Then they run to JUMP KNEE and LARIAT! Cover, TWO! Cage toughs it out but Trent slaps him around. Trent drags Cage up, snapmares, and he clamps on a top wristlock! Cage endures, Cope coaches him, and the fans rally up.
Cage rises, fires body shots, then runs the ropes, but into a kick! Trent hits an ARMBAR DDT! Cover, TWO! Cage scrambles to ropes but Trent tags Rocky in. Rocky steps on Cage very much like Cage would, then steps off as the ref counts. Rocky argues with the ref and with Cope, letting Trent SMACK Cage in the distraction! Cope seethes but he can’t do anything while Rocky traps Cage’s arm for an ELBOW JAMMER! Rocky then double wristlocks the arm and puts on the pressure. Cage endures, fights back up, and Dynamite returns to single picture. The fans rally again as Cage wrenches out, but Rocky wrenches to headlock, only for Cage to hit a BIG back suplex!
Both men are down and the fans rally harder! Rocky crawls, hot tag to Trent! Trent BLASTS Cope, the fans boo, but Trent tags Rocky back in. Trent puts Cage on the ropes, Rocky DOUBLE STOMPS Cage down for Trent to SLIDING KNEE! Cover, but Cope breaks it! The fans cheer but Rocky keeps Cage from Cope. Cage fires a body shot, but Rocky KICKS the bad arm! And KICKS, and KICKS, then CHOPS! Rocky puts Cage up top, climbs up after him, and goes for the arm. Cage fires body shots, shoves Rocky back, but Rocky returns for a SUPER ARM-DRAG! Then the ARMBAR! Cage endures while the fans rally up again!
Cage fights around, reaches out, ROPEBREAK! The fans cheer while Rocky lets go in frustration. Tag to Trent and he storms up on Cage. Trent ROCKS Cage but Cage fires hands in return! Cage fights off RPG Vice, sneaks under Trent, but Rocky tags in! Rocky whips Cage to a corner, but Cage ELBOWS him away! Cage goes up, but Rocky grabs the arm! But Cage CLAWS Rocky’s face! Cage then TORNADO DDTS Rocky! The fans fire up while both men are down again! Cage and Rocky crawl, hot tags to Trent and Cope! The fans fire up as Cope BACKDROPS Trent! Then FLAPJACKS! Trent has Cope, TORNADO- NO, Cope denies the DDT, then hits the IMPALER! Cover, but Rocky runs up! Cope moves, the ELBOW DROP hits Trent! The fans cheer, and Cope ROCKS Rocky! And CHOPS Trent! Cope runs, but into a DOUBLE JUMP KNEE! And then another DOUBLE JUMP KNEE! Trent Alabama Lifts Cope while Rocky climbs, but Cage SHOVES Rocky down! And a BOOT into the CODE RED! Cover, but Rocky breaks it! Cage has Rocky but Rocky CLAWS Cage’s face! Rocky runs, but Cage SMACKS him with the brace! Trent CLOBBERS Cage! But Cope SPEAR- NO, Trent leaps over! Roll-up, with feet on the ropes! The ref sees it in time!
The fans cheer as Trent is caught cheating! Trent argues with the ref, then pleads with him. But Cope runs up, only for Trent to BOOT him! Trent runs up, but Cope pops him up, for Cage’s SPEAR! Cover, C&C win!

They may be less than 100% physically, but they’re still 100% mentally! As for emotionally, Cage grabs a chair and brings it into the ring. Given the role RPG Vice played in Cage’s arm injury, he SNAPS the crossbar of the chair off, and he hands it to Cope! Bent as it is, Cope uses it to GAG Trent! TORONTO SMILE!! Cage grabs a mic and he asks Trent, “Do you know what to say?! Say it!” Trent shouts, but the crossbar is kinda muddying it into “I qwimt!” They take the bar out and Cage asks again. Trent shouts, “I QUIT! I QUIT!” Cope lets Trent go and the fans cheer. Cage says, “I will never say ‘I quit,’ you little b*tch.”
Cope & Christian have their payback on RPG Vice, but now it will be a matter of getting their revenge on FTR. Will Cash & Dax prove they’re truly the best tag team of all time? Or will they have to admit defeat in the worst way possible?

Renee Paquette is with Y2J and brings up that this is twice now that Ricochet has defeated him with the “Ricosault.” Does Jericho think there is any validity that this Ricosault is an improvement on the Lionsault? Jericho says what he does think is that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. But he’s not really flattered right now, he’s more pissed off. But here’s the thing, Ricochet has obviously been following Jericho’s career very closely. But not close enough because if he was- THE DEMAND ATTACKS! Ricochet, Kaun & Liona beat Jericho down 3v1, then get him up to his knees. Ricochet asks if this is what Jericho wanted. Is this what Jericho thought this would be in his big return to AEW?!
No more jokes, no more games, no more subliminal messages! Ricochet told Jericho to leave or get hurt! Look at him! What do you gotta say?! Is this what you wanted?! The fans are torn but Megan soaks it all up. Megan drags Shida up, back suplexes, but then counters Shida’s sunset flip into a FALL AWAY SLAM! Not the cleanest throw but an effective one. Megan POSTS herself instead of hitting Shida! Shida tags Kris, they have Megan in the ropes, and then Shida kicks Kris?! Oh, so she can snap suplex her into Megan! A unique attack, but Kris drags Megan up. Megan RAMS Kris into the Divine Dominion’s corner! Tag to Lena, they double whip Kris, but Kris ducks ‘n’ dodges to DOUBLE RAN- NO! The champs stop Kris to SLAM her down! Then they drag Kris up, bring her in, and DOUBLE SUPLEX! But Kris lands out!

Kris is stunned but Lena is dazed. Kris hauls Lena up, but Shida tags herself in! Kris is upset but she SLAMS Lena down for Shida to METEORA! Then the FALCON ARROW!! Cover, TWO?!? Because Darby is world champion, that’s how! How you know? Because Don told MJF that Andrade lost his contender’s match! How you know? Because MJF saw it later with his own two eyes! Andrade again asks, “How you know?” Andrade smiles, and MJF says (sarcastically) that Andrade’s real funny.
MJF then shoves Andrade! Callis steps in and has them stop. Andrade is Callis’ money man. MJF is THE money man! Business is business. MJF doesn’t have a belt, there’s no reason for Andrade to fight MJF. And MJF, you need to get that belt back! They’re all better off when MJF is on top! So let’s just focus on business, guys. Okay? Just this once? MJF storms off one way, Andrade the other, and Callis says, “Wild horses, they’re gonna run. What’re you gonna do?” Callis follows Andrade, but will The Real Latino Man accept this truce with The Scumbag?
Rush VS Steven Fuerte!
From wild horses to El Toro Blanco, Rush has certainly been on a stampede since returning from injury. However, he is only getting hungrier and hungrier for gold around his waist. Will that stampede finally lead him to opportunities at Double or Nothing? Or will he have to make due with an appetizer?
The bell rings and Fuerte offers a handshake. Rush DECKS Fuerte instead! Fuerte tumbles out of the ring, Rush goes out after him, and Rush THROWS Fuerte into barriers! The fans fire up as Rush then THROWS Fuerte back into barriers, then stomps away! The ref counts but Rush fires body shots! Rush SMACKS Fuerte off the barriers, then snarls as he drags Fuerte back up. Rush puts Fuerte in the ring, watches him flounder to the corner, and he CHOPS! Fuertes falls, Rush puts him in the corner, then rains down forearms! The ref counts, especially as Rush stomps away! The ref backs Rush down, and Rush just pumps it up!
The fans chant for “RUSH! RUSH! RUSH!” Rush goes corner to corner, “You mess with the bull…! You get the horns!!”” BULL’S HORNS! Cover, Rush wins!

Renee Paquette is now with Samoa Joe, Katsuyori Shibata, Hook, and newest member, Anthony Bowens. Renee says Joe is back, looked great back in action, but what is the game plan moving forward? Joe says, “Game plan… Maybe a declaration of intent. Well, it is simple. The Opps, we intend to reassert our dominance here in AEW. How do we plan to do that? I’ll tell you. We plan to do it with men like Katsuyori Shibata, fury made flesh, a man who is kind enough to put on a kick pad so he doesn’t cave in your head when he kicks your skull off.
“We’re gonna do that with men like Anthony Bowens, multiple time world tag team champion here in AEW. A man who has been undervalued, underappreciated, and most importantly, underestimated. And you will see the best version of him now in The Opps. Then we come to Hook, a man who intends to become the new King of Television when he captures the TNT Championship this weekend on Collision. But more importantly, our reign to the top, it includes strategic acquisition. And that brings me to you, Will Ospreay. Y’see, Will, I hope and I pray that you’re not suffering from Stockholm Syndrome.
“Because those boys in the Death Riders, they had you in the very same position that they saved you from not too long ago, and you know who came and took you out of that? We did, Will. Dynamite returns as #BigStoke informs us he just spoke with Tony Khan. Orange Cassidy, they have an “interesting proposition.” Next week, Dynamite Double Jeopardy! Cassidy goes 1v1 with Dax the Ax, and IF Cassidy wins, he and any member of The Conglomeration can challenge for the AEW World Tag Team Championships! But WHEN Dax wins, FTR gets the shot at the AEW World Trios Championships! And Stoke knows ol’ OC is begging for Stoke to get in the ring so they can be face to face, but guess what? That is not gonna happen. Stoke thinks they have a pretty good third partner, and it is the man who took Darby to his limit.
In steps Tommaso Ciampa! The Psycho Killer says last time he and FTR teamed up, if he remembers correctly, Ciampa shelfed Mark Briscoe indefinitely. This time, they take them trios titles. Ciampa picks the popcorn crumb from Stokely’s beard, and says, “Top Guys out.” Ciampa eats the crumb, then waves goodbye. Will these three truly be a dangerous combination? Or can Freshly Squeezed earn himself and… someone… another title opportunity?

On top of Hook challenging The Jet for the TNT Championship, we will see The Death Riders & The Dogs team up again, but against the combination of The Rascalz & Top Flight! Darby grab ropes, the ref counts, but then Brody SLAPS Darby’s hands down to GERMAN SUPLEX him away! Darby tumbles all the way to the corner, and Brody roars as he runs! CANNONBALL! Brody hauls Darby up, Canadian Racks, but Darby fights free! Darby goes to another corner, and he BOOTS Brody away!
Darby goes up but Brody CHOPS! Brody climbs, Darby CLUBS away, and Darby hops on for a SUPER CODE RED! Cover, TWO!! Brody survives and bails out while the fans fire up. Darby snarls, builds speed, and DIVES! But he just bounces off of Brody’s body?!? Even Darby has to smile about that, that was wild! Brody drags Darby up and CHOPS him! Darby staggers around the way but Brody follows. Brody brings Darby up, CHOPS him again, and he grabs a chair! The ref reprimands but Brody tells fans to move aside. Brody sits the chair up, makes Darby take a seat, and CHOPS him for good measure. Brody barks, fans join in, and Brody runs up!
But Darby trips Brody and Brody hits the chair! The fans rally as Darby hurries to take that chair for his own. Darby sets it up, brings Brody up, and Darby makes Brody take a seat. Darby fires forearms, CLAWS Brody’s back, then he climbs up the corner! The fans fire up because they know this means SUPER MISSILE DROPKICK! Direct hit on Brody but Darby also writhes from that landing! The fans are thunderous while Dynamite goes picture in picture.
The ref checks Darby but he insists he’s okay. Brody is okay to continue, as well, and both men slowly sit up. Darby hobbles and rolls into the ring, followed by Brody. They slowly stand, and Darby hobbles over to fire forearm after forearm! Brody DECKS Darby with just one! Brody leans on the ropes while he catches his breath, and Darby slowly sits back up. Brody brings Darby around to CHOP him back down! Darby sputters but Brody drags him back up. Brody ROCKS Darby, whips corner to corner hard, and Darby falls to the mat! Brody storms over to Darby, stands him up, and scoops for a SLAM! Cover, TWO!
Brody stays on Darby with another scoop and SLAM! Another cover, TWO! Darby toughs it out and Brody grows frustrated. Brody drags Darby up again, scoops and SLAMS again, then covers, TWO!! Darby continues to survive, and now Brody is oddly amused. Brody looms over Darby, but Darby fires shots at the legs. Brody CHOPS Darby down! Then SENTONS onto Darby! Darby sputters and clutches his leg, it was trapped under him when the senton hit! Brody shrugs, not his fault. Brody looms over Darby but Darby crawls away. Brody stalks Darby, brings him up, and Dynamite returns to single picture for the lift. Darby GUILLOTINE FACELOCKS to counter!
Brody puts Darby on the ropes, fires body shots, and then he CHOPS Darby down! Darby hits apron before he hits floor! The fans rally and bark while Brody argues with the ref. Brody goes out after Darby, drags him up, and CHOKE SLAMS him on the apron! Brody says this is what Darby wanted, so he clears the desk! The fans cheer, and Brody even puts the desk lid off to the side. Brody paces, and watching from the skybox, it’s Kevin Knight. The TNT Champion is facing one of these two next week, so naturally he wants to watch with his own eyes. But then Darby JUMPS on Brody’s back! Darby has a SLEEPER!
Darby squeezes tight, but Brody stays on his feet! Brody runs with Darby as a backpack, CANNOBNALL down through the desk hood!! Fairfax loses their minds as both men are down in the wreckage! We get a quick look backstage to see MJF is watching this, too. The ref checks and both men are able to continue. Brody is up first and he drags Darby around. Brody scoops but Darby fights free! Darby SHOVES Brody into the desk! That corner edge gets Brody right in the stomach! Darby hurries to finish clearing the desk, and he throws hands on Brody! And even SLAPS, SLAPS, SLAPS! Brody SLAPS back!
Darby sputters on the desk, and now Brody climbs up to join him! The fans go nuts as Brody reels Darby in. Darby fires body shots and shots on the legs, but Brody CHOPS Darby! SLEEPER!! Brody dangles Darby like he has before, but Darby CLAWS Brody’s eyes! Brody lets go, Darby hurries back up, CODE RED ON THE DESK! The desk does not break, but both men might be busted up from that landing! The fans lose their minds all the same while the ref checks both men. Darby is up and in the ring, sore as he is, but Brody rises. Darby shakes out the bad leg, builds speed, and he DIVES! Direct hit and they hit the desk again!
The fans fire up while both men are down! Darby sits up, then manages to hobble his way over. Brody follows, they roll into the ring, and Darby goes up the corner! But Brody trips Darby up, then CHOPS him into the Tree of Woe! Brody then sits Darby up, just so he can CHOP Darby again! Brody barks as he storms around, and then he runs up to CANNONBALL!! Darby sputters but Brody drags him up, just to short arm LARIAT him back down! Cover, TWO!! Darby survives and shocks Brody! Brody hauls Darby right up, runs, CLOTHESLINE FROM HELL!! Cover, TWO!!! Darby survives again and Brody is beside himself!
The fans are thunderous for Darby as he sits up in a daze. Brody shakes his head, unsure how Darby is still doing this. Brody YANKS Darby up, runs up, but Darby dodges the splash! Brody sputters from hitting buckles, and Darby CHOPS! And CHOPS! And CHOPS again! Darby HEADBUTTS Brody, but that just pisses Brody off! Brody THROWS Darby onto a cameraman!! The camera is fine but Darby writhes on the ground! Brody storms out after Darby, grabs him by the legs, but Darby claws at the floor mat! The mat is pulled up as Brody drags Darby along! The fans fire up as the camera seems to be along for the ride!
Darby kicks at Brody, kicks free, then hurries to his feet. Brody CHOPS Darby and Darby staggers away. The fans rally and bark, and Brody runs up for a CANNONBALL THROUGH RAILING!! But Darby narrowly avoids that human car wreck!! The fans go nuts as Darby hurries to finish pulling up floor mats! Darby has exposed a good portion of concrete, but he makes sure to roll into the ring to stop the count. Brody storms back up on Darby, but Darby BITES Brody’s hands! The ref reprimands but Brody ROCKS Darby! Brody reels Darby in, and he looks to the floor! The fans freak out but Darby fights the suplex!
Darby SLAPS Brody’s hands, then slides under! SUNSET BOMB on bare concrete!! The fans go nuts again, but Darby isn’t done! Darby climbs, aims, and SUPER COFFIN DROP!!! Direct hit, and a solid one at that! The ring count climbs again, and Darby rolls in at 4 of 10. Brody is down at 6, but he rises at 7! Brody stands at 9, and he lunges in at 9.9! Only for Darby to COFFIN DROP again!! Then COFFIN DROP again!! Cover, DARBY WINS!!
Winner: Darby Allin, by pinfall (still AEW World Championship)
This newest chapter might’ve been their greatest, if not CRAZIEST, one yet! And in the end, Darby’s relentless nature carries him through again! Knight nods, knowing exactly what to expect for next week. But will Knight make it through the Cold-Hearted Handsome Devil on Collision to then bring that TNT Championship to the dance? As for Brody, he and Darby shake hands as great rivals and friends. Darby makes sure to look at Knight up in the skybox, will Darby be able to survive his own reign going this hard week after week?
My Thoughts:
An awesome Dynamite that they really stacked with title matches. But at the same time, status quo kept and all in awesome ways. Honestly, part of me is surprised that Knight retained against MJF, because of the “Double or Nothing” idea of Darby VS MJF, title for title. But at the same time, maybe Darby is going to make MJF put up his ability to challenge for the world title, same as in MJF VS Hangman. Great win for Knight all the same, and he’ll have a very good match against Hook on Collision, and against Darby Allin next week. Darby VS Brody was an awesome main event, like PPV quality, holy crap, but great win for Darby.
MJF had a great promo with Callis & Andrade to further that feud and its slow burn. I would think that win, lose or draw with Darby, MJF will feud with Andrade for the summer. A great match for Ace Austin against Okada, but again, of course Okada won out so he and Takeshita will still have their title match. Great promo from Thekla & Skye to call out Brawling Birds, and Brawling Birds of course win their match tonight. I still wanna see that Triple Threat of Thekla VS Windsor VS Persephone with someone becoming a double champion, but it feels like it might be Thekla VS Windsor VS Hayter just so Thekla obviously gets away with a win.
Great women’s tag title match, #Shidalander getting their best showing yet, obviously. But given the story they’re building, of course Shidalander loses. Divine Dominion VS Brawling Birds definitely needs to happen for All In London, so all these other matches are just biding time on that. Rush continues to bide his time, but between the TNT Championship and the National Championship, Rush needs to get one of those to vindicate himself here in AEW. Great tag match from C&C VS RPG Vice, but also a great appearance by Conglomeration to go after FTR. They’re already building that story even before Double or Nothing, which is clunky, but I like the idea of the Double Jeopardy. Though, with that, FTR & Ciampa are definitely getting their match for the trios titles.
And great stuff in this story of Will Ospreay’s recovery. Great promo from Ospreay with the Death Riders, but then The Opps just jump in and want to recruit him now? That’s weird. I suppose there is still good continuity here, because Face Opps did fight against Heel Death Riders, and so the factions are double-turning and the feud is continuing. I am pretty sure Ospreay sticks to Death Riders in this, and there’s still so much missed opportunity not having Max Caster as part of Bowens’ story with The Opps. But hey, if it gives us Ospreay VS Shibata and Ospreay VS Joe through such a feud, who am I to question it?
