CMLL World Trios Championships: Mistico, Mascara Dorada & Neon w/ Alex Abrahantes VS Volador Jr, Rugido & Magnus!

The ROH-CMLL crossover continues, and tonight, rivals from CMLL look to settle the score! Will El Sky Team retain their titles? Or will Los Depredadores take the gold in Cincinnati?

The introductions are made, the belts are raised, and we see who shows strength in unity!

The Code of Honor is not upheld, so the trios sort out. Rugido starts off against Neon and the fans rally up. Neon shows off with a backflip, then he and Rugido tie up. Rugido waistlocks, Neon switches, but Rugido switches back to SLAM Neon down. Rugido flips Neon over but Neon kips up to arm-drag! Neon handsprings again, and the fans cheer the standoff. Neon and Rugido tie up, Rugido arm-drags, but Neon arm-drags! Rugido arm-drags, Neon arm-drags, then both men dropkick! Those dropkicks cancel out so both men roll to their feet. The fans cheer as the two get face to face, then Rugido pushes Neon.

Rugido tags Magnus, Neon tags Dorada and the fans rally up again. They tie up, Magnus waistlocks to SLAM Dorada, then Magnus flips Dorada over, but Dorada also kips up to arm-drag! Dorada runs up, Magnus trips him and wheelbarrows, but Dorada arm-drags free! Dorada kips up, Magnus trips him again, but then Dorada reaches up and swings around, around, around, around, and around! RANA! Magnus tumbles out but Dorada builds speed. Magnus ducks so Dorada handsprings and backflips! Magnus is upset, but he tags Volador while Dorada tags Mistico. The fans rally as the team captains now meet.

Mistico knows Volador offering the handshake now is a trick so he wags his finger. Magnus grabs at Mistico, Mistico shakes him off and the ref reprimands. The fans rally and the two circle. Mistico runs, Volador drops down, but Mistico hops over to handspring. Mistico BACK ELBOWS Volador down and the fans fire up! Volador goes to ropes, Mistico runs up, but Volador puts him on the apron. Mistico blocks a shot, GAMANGIRIS, then he springboards to CROSSBODY! Things keep moving and Mistico RANAS! Volador bails out, the fans rally up, and Mistico builds speed, only for Rugido y Magnus to trip him up!

The fans boo but then Volador YANKS El Sky Team off the apron! Los Depredadores mug El Sky Team, and Magnus sends Neon into steel steps! Rugido stomps away on Mistico, then brings him up to put in a corner. Los Depredadores whip Mistico corner to corner, then Rugido is sent in, LARIAT! Magnus runs in and LARIATS! Then they feed Mistico to the SUPERKICK! Rugido y Volador step out, Magnus is legal, and he TOSSES Mistico out. The fans rally as Magnus eggs Neon on, and Neon storms in. Neon clutches his elbow as he circles with Magnus. Neon kicks, Magnus blocks, and Los Depredadores attack!

The fans boo as the rudos mug Neon! They double whip Neon, but Neon ducks the lariats, only for them to double trophy lift and SLAM! Then a feed to Volador’s BOOT! Dorada runs in, but Magnus blocks a kick for Rugido to KICK the leg! The fans rally for El Sky Team but Rugido scoops and SLAMS Dorada! Magnus drops a leg splitting leg drop! Volador stands Dorada up, Depredadores double whip but Dorada handsprings up and over! Dorada avoids the double lariats, then comes back to handspring, but Magnus y Rugido deny him the double arm-drag. Volador waistlocks, Dorada ducks lariats again, and Neon FLYING RANAS Rugido!

Mistico follows and FLYING RANAS Magnus! Dorada runs and he tilt-o-whirl RANAS Volador! Los Depredadores regroup, El Sky Team coordinates, Neon builds speed, and Neon FLIES while Dorada and Mistico TORNILLO PLANCHA! The fans fire up as all six men are down on the outside! El Sky Team rises up, they high-five the front row, and Cincy fires up for “LUCHA! LUCHA!” Magnus returns to the ring, as does Mistico. Magnus CLOBBERS Mistico, then he HAMMERS away! Magnus lets off in frustration, he whips Mistico to ropes, but Mistico ducks ‘n’ dodges to SUPERKICK! The fans fire up for Mistico and he runs in, but Magnus pops him up!

Dorada is there to give Mistico an assist, back-to-back for a SILLY STRING RANA! Magnus tumbles, Mistico runs up but Rugido jumps in in. Mistico dodges, then uses Rugido to get up and RANA Magnus! Mistico dodges Rugido again, Dorada springboards to FLYING RANA! Volador runs in, Dorada sends him into Rugido! Dorada runs, Volador BACKDROPS him, but Dorada uses that to bounce off the ropes and arm-drag Rugido! The fans fire up, things keep moving, and Dorada handsprings! Volador dodges that, but Dorada dodges the lariat to tilt-o-whirl RANA! Volador tumbles again and the fans fire up!

Dorada hurries to whip Volador, Volador reverses, Neon helps Dorada go up and out. Neon is now legal and runs to handspring! Volador gets under, Neon comes back, and Neon dodges a lariat to DROPKICK! Magnus runs in but Neon arm-drags! Neon goes up, up, and DOUBLE JUMP FLYING RANAS! The fans fire up but Magnus hurries to CLOBBER Neon right back down! But then Mistico MISSILE DROPKICKS! Volador SUPERKICKS Mistico, Dorada SUPERKICKS Volador, but Rugido LARIATS Dorada! Neon SUPERKICKS Rugido, Magnus is in, and Neon dodges. But Magnus pops Neon up for a CUTTER!

The fans fire up as all six men are down again! Dorada rises and he rallies the fans. Dorada runs at Magnus, Magnus dodges, and Dorada hits buckles. Magnus runs in, Dorada puts him on the apron, but Magnus bumps him off buckles. Magnus goes up, Mistico GAMANGIRIS! Mistico goes up, and he has Magnus for the SUPER SPANISH FLY! But Volador runs up, DESTROYER! Neon PENALTY KICKS! Neon then rushes Rugido but Rudigo dodges, HIP TOSS DRIVER! Dorada runs up, CRUCIFIX DIRVER! Dorada keeps moving, he tilt-o-whirls Magnus for a DDT! And again, all six men are down!

The fans rally up as all the luchadores stir. Volador y Rugido go after Dorada y Neon, then headlock, but Neon y Dorada power out to send Volador y Rugido into each other! Los Depredadores fall, Neon y Dorada each grab legs, and it’s time to row the boat with the SPLADLE! Mistico jumps up, RANAS Magnus, cover, TWO!! The fans rally as all six luchadores get up. Neon puts Rugido on the apron and GAMANGIRIS! Neon goes up, and FLYING TORNILLO ARM-DRAGS! Mistico has Volador, feed to a GAMANGIRI from Dorada! SUPERKICK from Mistico, then Dorada goes up top! SHOOTING STAR PRESS!

Mistico dodges Magnus, tilt-o-whirl, LA MYSTICA!! FUJIWARA ARMBAR! Magnus taps, El Sky Team wins!

The Beast Mortos w/ La Faccion Ingobernable VS AR Fox!

While LFI failed to beat the AEW World Trios Champions, The Opps, that doesn’t mean they’re out of the title chase. Will the menacing minotaur bounce back and bring LFI towards a new opportunity? Or will ROH be the Whole Fox’n Show?

The Code of Honor is not upheld, Mortos is still salty over how #FoxRunners beat LFI, too. The bell rings, Dralistico gets on the apron to shout at Fox, and the ref reprimands Dralistico. Mortos runs up, Fox dodges, and then Fox goes Matrix to avoid a lariat. Fox kips up to PELE and the fans fire up. Fox whips, Mortos reverses, but Fox dodges, and Mortos’ knee hits buckles! Mortos tumbles up and out of the ring, then Fox builds speed! Fox FLIES but Dralistico takes the hit! Fox hurries back in, he FLIES again, and now he hits Mortos! The fans cheer and Rush has to back up. Fox brings Mortos up, but Mortos RAMS him into the apron!

Mortos drags Fox up to the apron, but Fox fights the suplex! Fox kicks low, but Mortos denies the cutter to HEADBUTT! Mortos fireman’s carries, and APRON DEATH VALLEY DRIVERS! Rush y Dralistico laugh at Fox while Mortos drags him in. Mortos SMACKS Fox and Fox goes to the corner. Mortos whips Fox to ropes, then he FLAPJACKS Fox! Fox staggers up, Mortos WHEEL KICKS him down! The fans cheer Mortos while Fox goes to the corner. Mortos runs up, UPPERCUTS, LARIATS, then GAMANGIRIS! Then Mortos reels Fox in for a POWERSLAM! Cover, TWO! Fox survives but the fans rally up.

Mortos drags Fox around, and he hits a NECK TWIST! Fox goes to the apron, Mortos storms out after him, and then he drags Fox up. The fans cheer as Mortos roars, and Mortos CHOPS Fox! Mortos fireman’s carries again, but Fox fights free! Mortos shoulders in but Fox KICKS him! Fox runs, and hits a DRAPING DDT! The fans fire up while Mortos sputters to the apron. Fox runs again, and BLACK HOLE STOMP! The fans cheer, LFI is frustrated, but Fox lets Mortos fall to the floor. Fox then goes up the corner, WALL WALK MOONSAULT! Direct hit on Mortos and the fans fire up again! Fox puts Mortos in, goes up the corner, SWANTON BOMB! Cover, TWO!

The fans rally as Mortos survives. Fox is a bit stunned, but he hurries after Mortos. Fox goes to fireman’s carry but Mortos is rather hefty. Mortos shoves Fox, POP-UP SAMOAN DROP! Cover, TWO! Fox survives and the fans fire up again. Mortos drags Fox up, Fox clamps onto a leg, but Mortos CLUBS Fox. Mortos stands Fox up to SMACK him, then he scoops for the back suplex! Fox lands out, and he shoves Mortos into the corner. Fox runs in, but into a BOOT! Mortos goes up but Fox GAMANGIRIS! Fox hurries, and he manages to fireman’s carry! ROLLING DEATH VALLEY! Dralistico gets on the apron, Fox BOOTS him down!

Fox hurries to bring Mortos up, but Mortos HEADBUTTS! And then the scoop for the BEAST DRIVER! Cover, Mortos wins!

But LFI isn’t done teaching Fox a lesson! Dralistico gets Rush his favorite green cord! Rush LASHES Fox! The fans boo but LFI mugs Fox! They CHOKE Fox with the cord, stomp him and go after the legs! Mortos scares the ref into running away, and LFI lifts their fists in defiance. Will nothing stop these ungovernable bulls until they’ve finally gotten gold?

Six Man Tag: Adam Priest & The Workhorsemen VS Marshall Von Erich, Ross Von Erich & ???

It was quite the debut for The Man from Battleground teaming alongside JD Drake & Anthony Henry. And with the future of the ROH World Six Man Championships in question, they want to prove they deserve the gold. JD Drake grabs a mic to say, “So, we were scheduled to have a trios match tonight. I don’t know how they do math in Texas, but there’s three of us and only two Von Erichs. They used to have a partner, but y’know, Dustin’s kind of… On the mend at the moment. So why don’t you boys do us a favor: Walk out here, go ahead and forfeit the match. That way, we don’t have to beat the hell outta you and put you on the shelf with Dustin, too.”

The Von Erichs make their entrance, they go to the ring, and Ross has the mic to say, “Yeah, I know it might look like we’re outnumbered, but we’re not alone. We’ve got a fellow Son of Texas right here ready to go right now. Dustin’s gone, he’ll be hurt for awhile, we all know that. But who wants to see… I think we all know who it is…” The fans chant his name, and yes, SAMMY GUEVARA is here! The Spanish God is wearing blue in honor of The Natural, will he and the Von Erichs win this one for Dustin?

The trios sort out, Sammy starts against Henry, and they keep the Code of Honor. But then Henry uses it to reel Sammy into a headlock! Sammy powers up and out, Henry swings and hits a headlock takeover. Sammy headscissors, Henry kips free, both men stand, and things speed up. Sammy hurdles, backflips, then DROPKICKS Henry down! The fans cheer as Sammy kips up so smooth. Sammy takes a bow but Henry takes Adam. Adam runs in but Sammy arm-drags him! Tag to Marshall and he wrenches Adam to a wristlock. Marshall kicks low, scoops and SLAMS, then he pushes Adam to a cover, ONE!!

Adam toughs it out, but Marshall tags Ross. The Von Erichs double whip Adam, DOUBLE ELBOW him down, then Ross covers. TWO, but Ross headlocks. Adam powers up but can’t power out. Adam wrenches free, headlocks, then he wrenches to whip. Henry gets a cheap shot in! The fans boo and the ref reprimands, but Ross DECKS Henry while Adam BLASTS Sammy & Marshall! Drake storms in, turns Ross around, but Ross dodges to DROPKICK JD out! The ref keeps Marshall from going after Adam, but Ross DECKS Adam for him! Ross KNEES Adam low, but JD goes after Marshall! Marshall is sent into barriers!

Ross meanwhile whips Adam into a corner, then runs corner to corner, only for Adam to BOOT him down! Adam drags Ross up, tags Henry, and they mug Ross. Henry scoops for a BACKBREAKER! Ross writhes but Henry drags him around to wrench and whip into the corner. Tag to JD, the Workhorsemen mug Ross and the fans boo. JD tells the Sons of Texas to eat this! CHOP! But Ross fires forearms in return! JD ROCKS Ross, tags Adam, and Adam drags Ross up. Adam wrenches Ross, whips him to a corner, but Ross reverses. Ross runs in and he BOOTS this time! Ross goes corner to corner again and HYDRAULIC DROPKICKS! Cover, TWO!

Henry storms in just to CLAW Ross’ eyes! And NECK TWIST! The ref has to keep Sammy back, but Adam tags Henry. They stomp Ross, then Henry taunts Sammy & Marshall. The fans rally as Henry whips Ross to the corner, forearm smash! Tag to JD, Henry feeds Ross to a HAYMAKER! JD reels Ross in, throws him to Henry, but Ross RANAS Henry into JD! The fans fire up while JD staggers back, and Adam tags in! Adam runs up and intercepts Ross. The fans rally, Ross powers up, and he BACKDROPS free! Hot tag to Sammy! Sammy goes up, CROSSBODY on the Workhorsemen! The fans fire up and Sammy TOSSES JD out!

Sammy dodges Henry, RAMS him and goes to the apron to ENZIGIRI! Henrys taggers around, JD grabs at Sammy, but Sammy kicks JD away! Sammy springboards to ASAI MOONSAULT JD! Adam runs up, Sammy GAMANGIRIS him away! Springboard for the FLYING CUTTER! Cover, TWO! Henry CLUBS Sammy for good measure! Henry whips Sammy, Sammy reverses, but Henry kicks back! And AX KICKS, KNEE LIFTS, FRONT KICKS, and SUPERKICKS! Sammy falls, Henry aims, and Henry runs up. Sammy dodges to SUPERKICK back! Sammy goes up, up, but Henry blocks the cutter, INVERTED SLAM!

JD SHINING WIZARDS Sammy, and Adam is up top, DIVING BODY PRESS! Cover, TWO!! Sammy survives, but Henry BOOTS Marshall down! The fans boo but then Adam BLASTS Marshall! The Workhorsemen puts Sammy on the ramp, then they mock the fans chanting for Sammy. Henry & JD drag Sammy up, they whip him to ropes, but Sammy KICKS back! SUPERKICK! DOUBLE CUTTER to the ramp! The fans fire up and Sammy storms in. Adam is on Sammy with a suplex, but Sammy lands out! Sammy waistlocks. Adam switches, but Sammy switches back! Adam ELBOWS free, he drags Sammy from the Von Erichs, but Sammy ENZIGIRIS!

Hot tag to Marshall! The fans fire up as Marshall BOOTS Adam! And ELBOWS him! Marshall whips Adam corner to corner, runs in, and LARIATS! The fans fire up and Marshall wrenches Adam to whip him again. Adam BOOTS from the corner! Adam goes up, CROSSBODY, but Marshall catches him! Marshall pops Adam around, HANGING IRON CLAW! Then the SWINGING CLAM SLAM!! CLAW COVER! Sons of Texas win!

It was a tough fight, but Sammy, Marshall & Ross make it work! Will this trio hold onto the ROH World Six Man titles in Dustin’s stead? And what of the ROH World Tag Team Championships? Will we have more answers after Death Before Dishonor?

The Sons of Texas regroup backstage.

Sammy & The Von Erichs are feeling good, and Marshall says, “Hell yeah, Sammy.” They thank him, he thanks them, that was a hell of a match. Marshall says they all know Dustin brought them together, but a brotherhood has been forged, and that is 100%. There is the PPV coming up, and they gotta fill a spot, so the Von Erichs were talking. No one else should take the third spot but Sammy. He thanks them for that. Sammy also has a spot to fill, but… That’s a difficult choice. Whoever he picks, the Von Erichs know it has been them VS the world, it doesn’t matter who Sammy chooses, whether it is Ross or Marshall, they’re both here for him.

Sammy says yeah, Sons of Texas forever. Let’s do it! Drinks on them, though. The Sons of Texas head out, but who will carry the banner for Dustin alongside Sammy?

Hechicero w/ Don Callis VS Jay Lethal!

In just 8 days, The Alchemist of Lucha is going to battle The Most Wanted for THE ROH World Championship in hopes of taking that title home to the Don Callis Family. However, The Franchise Player wants to prove only he is worthy of taking up that mantle. Will this be a very lethal main event? Or will The Wizard have just the right spell to cast on the longest-reigning ROH World Champion?

As Hechicero makes his entrance, Don Callis has a mic to tell Justin Roberts, “Callete! Ladies and gentlemen, hailing from the great country of Mexico… He is a charter member of the Don Callis Family. Es muy guapooooooooo~! Ladies and gentlemen, yo soy Hechiceroooooooooooo~!” Don still gets that “yo soy” stuff wrong… But his bad Spanish aside, will The Jackal’s minion be more than ready for Death Before Dishonor?

The Code of Honor is not upheld, so that’s three times tonight. The bell rings, Lethal and Hechi circle, and the fans rally for Lethal as the two feel things out. They tie up, Lethal wrenches an arm to a wristlock, but Hechi powers his way to a cording hold. Hechi sweeps a leg out and has Lethal in a top wristlock. Lethal endures, the fans rally, but Hechi puts on the pressure. Lethal fights up, wrenches, and he wrangles Hechi with an armlock. Hechi headscissors, Lethal pops free, and the fans applaud the standoff. The two circle again, feel out knuckle locks, then go shoulder to shoulder. Hechi kicks low, JABS, then whips.

Lethal reverses and HIP TOSSES, then handsprings to basement DROPKICK! Hechi bails out but Lethal DIVES! Down goes Hechi and the fans fire up! Lethal puts Hechi in, pushes him to a cover, ONE! Callis protests, tells fans to shut up, but Lethal stands Hechi up. Lethal wrenches Hechi, whips him to ropes, but Hechi reverses to wrench back. Hechi whips, Lethal reverses, but Hechi catches Lethal in the hurdle for a FLAPJACK! Then an ELBOW DROP! The fans tell Callis off while Hechi rains down fists on Lethal. Hechi then stands Lethal up, but Lethal shoves Hechi away. Lethal runs in but Hechi dodges, Lethal hits buckles!

Hechi runs back in and STEP-UP KNEES! Hechi stomps Lethal around, drags him up, and rains down more fists. The ref reprimands about closed fists but Hechi argues back. Callis coaches Hechi but Lethal fires body shots. Hechi KNEES low, then headlocks. Lethal endures, fires body shots, then he CHOPS! The fans “WOO~” and Lethal runs, then he dodges a lariat to roll Hechi up! TWO, and Lethal backslides! TWO, and Lethal drags Hechi up to step over, LA MAGISTROL! TWO, and Hechi dropkicks the legs out! Hechi then BASEMENT DDTS! Cover, TWO! Lethal is still in this but Hechi says it was that close.

Callis tells the ref to check Hechi, then he CHOKES Lethal! The ref sees that, the fans cheer the ref on, and so Aubrey Edwards EJECTS Callis! The fans cheer and Callis throws a fit! Callis goes to the back and fans sing, “Hey Hey Hey, Goodbye~!” Hechi whips but Lethal blocks by holding ropes. Hechi CHOPS Lethal, tries to whip again, but Lethal still holds the ropes. Hechi CHOPS again, whips, but Lethal reverses to JAB! Lethal then blocks a shot to JAB! And JAB! JAB, JAB, JAB! The fans fire up, Lethal winds it up, and “Ooh Yeah~!” Lethal runs to CLOBBER Hechi! Lethal fireman’s carries, but Hechi slips free.

Hechi waistlocks, Lethal switches, and then Lethal spins through Hechi’s switch to snap suplex! The fans cheer and Lethal powers up the elbow! Lethal goes to the corner, climbs up, Hail to the King! MACHO ELBOW, but he blocks Hechi’s boots! Lethal steps through, but Hechi drags Lethal to a cradle! TWO!! Hechi is frustrated, but he runs up, only for Lethal to catch him! LETHAL COMBINATION! Cover, TWO! Hechi survives the backbreaker and flatliner, and the fans rally up for Lethal. Lethal rises, calls his shot, but he SUPERKICKS first! Then Lethal handsprings, but Hechi waistlocks! Hechi CLUBS Lethal, runs, HEADSCISSOR LEG DROP!

The fans rally, Hechi runs, and Hechi sunset flips to then hook a leg! He turns Lethal over, traps the legs and has the arms! SURFBOARD STF!! Lethal verbally quits, Hechicero wins!

Winner: Hechicero, by submission

The Wizard indeed had what it would take to beat The Franchise Player! But he warns Bandido that next week, he is more than ready to take that title! Will the Alchemist of Lucha become the ROH World Champion? Or can the Most Wanted once again deny the Don Callis Family their prize?

My Thoughts:

A great ROH coming in at about 68 minutes, and acting in part as a go-home to Death Before Dishonor. Good promo from QT Marshall to call out Paul Walter-Hauser and establish their Fight Without Honor match. That is going to be great stuff, and I feel like PWH should win so that QT gets his comeuppance for all his arrogance. Great Six Man Tag for the CMLL Trios titles, but it still felt like the typical CMLL trios match they’ve had here in ROH: Rudos take advantage of lucha rules again and again, everyone does high-flying, and the Faces win. I will say, they did do even more high-flying and the string of knockdowns, but I still figured El Sky Team would win.

Though I did skip some things, good stuff in Blake VS Beef, and Beef had a strong showing. I still wish they’d gotten to do more with the “Beef is Anthony Henry’s Second-Cousin-in-Law.” Speaking of the Workhorsemen, they and Adam Priest had a good Six Man Tag with the Sons of Texas, though it was maybe a little clunky when Ross got in there. Naturally the Sons of Texas win, and this brings in the intrigue of how the titles work. Sammy stepping into the Six Man titles is fine, and I feel like Sammy being given the choice of who is his new tag partner opens the door to him bringing in someone completely new, completely confusing and upsetting The Von Erichs.

Very good match from Mortos VS Fox, good win for Mortos, and of course LFI beats Fox up after. A little surprised we didn’t get Outrunners making the save, but I suppose they can use that “Brother Nature” stuff as the reason why they weren’t here. And great main event from Hechicero VS Lethal. Hechi of course wins, he needs that momentum going into the ROH World Championship match. That said, I don’t see Hechi winning the title, unless Bandido wins the AEW World Tag Team Championships alongside Brody King. And even then, that might not be the case, I don’t see any other Faces built up to then challenge Hechi.
