Brodido speaks.

It was last night after Dynamite that Brody King said, “Tonight, in the 2300 Arena, by no fault of our own, we lost our first match as the AEW Tag Team Champions. But we’re not gonna look to the past. Right now, we are going to look at the future. This Friday at Death Before Dishonor, Bandido Two Belts is going to remain. Tell ’em.” Bandido has Brody hold the tag titles while he tells Hechicero in Espanol and English that here in the 2300 Arena, in Philadelphia, nothing will take this title from him! But will the Most Wanted still be ROH World Champion after this weekend? Or is the Don Callis Family going to take over everything?

Athena speaks.

The Fallen Goddess & Billie Starkz surprised everyone at Rev-Pro’s Global Wars UK last Friday, and after she defeated The Cut Throat Collective’s Mercedes Blaze, she had this to say. “At Death Before Dishonor, I will be facing one… Maina Shirakawa, is that it? For my Forever ROH Championship.” The fans boo, Athena tells them to shut up while she’s talking. And “Maina,” Athena already broke your arm by accident. But what happens if she means to do it on purpose? If the fans don’t shut up, she will have security escort them out! But fans chant, “We Want Mina!” Athena says the things she can do to Mina will make Sandman S*IT himself!

And oh, Sabu, looking down from above, he’ll shed a tear of happiness as Athena kicks Mina’s ass all over Philadelphia! So give her some damn respect! The fans boo instead. Athena says she is the Minion Overlord, the American Joshi, the Fallen Goddess, THE longest reigning champion in ROH history! No man can touch her reign, and no woman can live up to her legacy, so give her some respect! She has done the Lord’s work in ROH! And y’know what, this is HER show, so time to make an example outta this b*tch! No one is getting the memo so she has to show them! Billie drags Blaze up, brings her around, and then scoops!

Athena says Mina claims she won’t be “Number 69.” As much as Athena hates sexual innuendo, this is the only 69 we get at Death Before Dishonor! Athena puts the belt under Blaze for Billie’s TOMBSTONE! The fans cheer, but Athena says they clearly have to do better because THAT ONE A-HOLE is still booing!! Athena storms out, grabs a chair, and says they have to set an even bigger example! Yeah? YEAH!? “WE NEED MORE VIOLENCE, LONDOOON~!” Time to break Blaze’s hand~! YAY~! The fans still want Mina, but Athena has Billie put Blaze’s arm in the chair! Athena goes up, up, but MINA IS HERE! The fans cheer as the Fighting Gravure Idol has a kendo stick!

Mina storms right into the ring, but Athena uses Billie as a shield! The fans rally for Mina, Billie runs up, but Mina SMACKS away on Billie! Mina uses the kendo stick to SPANK Billie out of the ring! Athena is at the ramp, Mina eggs her on, and the fans cheer Mina on. But while this was Friday, Mina also made sure Billie didn’t screw Toni out of the AEW Women’s World Championship. Will Athena get back at Mina for all of this? Or will the ROH Women’s World Champion belong to #MinaNow?

After Taya Valkyrie VS Allysin Kay…

Mrs. TV beat THE AK47 and is very excited about that. Mansoor then gets the mic to say, “MXM TV is going to need you disgusting, smelly mutants to get on your feet to give it up for your winner, Taya Valkyrie!” The fans are a bit torn, but Mansoor continues by telling the “troglodytes” that after Taya’s match, MXM TV was going to hold their Open Challenge, but Mansoor is pretty sure everyone else in the back is too ugly and too stupid to answer the challenge. So instead, MXM TV will give all the people what they need, and it ain’t wrestling! For the entirety of this event, you will see MXM TV… POSE~!

The fans are a bit torn as all four members of the fashionable four… POSE! But then, “Join the Dark Order!” The fans cheer as Evil Uno, Alex Reynolds & John Silver have answered the call! Will they humble MXM TV and begin their newest comeback?

Six Man Tag Open Challenge: MXM TV VS The Dark Order!

The trios talk trash while they sort out, and the fans rally behind, “EVIL UNO!” Uno steps up, and he starts against Mansoor. Mansoor doesn’t just reject the Code of Honor, he tells Uno to… suck his ass? The bell rings, Johnny repeats the taunt, “SUCK HIS ASS!” and Mansoor takes a swing! Uno dodges, then headlocks, but Mansoor powers up and out. Reynolds tags in, then he tags Silver! Silver & Reynolds double drop toehold Mansoor, Uno STOMPS Mansoor’s hands, then the Dark Order TRIPLE BASEMENT DROPKICKS Mansoor! The fans cheer, but Mason & Johnny run in and CLOBBER The Dark Order!

The fans boo as MXM TV CLUBS Silver & Reynolds out of the ring, then stomp away on Uno. Johnny & Mason help Mansoor stand up, and they… POSE! But Dark Order rushes in and they CLOBBER Mason and Johnny! Then they hook Mansoor up, Silver hops on, and the Dark Order all flexes! The fans cheer, then the Dark Order DOUBLE RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP! The fans cheer while Mansoor crawls away. Silver tags Reynolds back in, he brings Mansoor around, and he whips Mansoor to the corner. Uno runs in and UPPERCUTS! Silver runs in and ROCKS Mansoor with a forearm! Reynolds runs in and LARIATS!

The fans fire up as Reynolds reels Mansoor in, but Mason & Johnny trip Silver & Uno! They drag Silver & Uno out to THROW them into railing! Mansoor slips free of the suplex, pulls Reynolds’ hair, then sends him at Johnny, only for Reynolds to BLAST Johnny down first! The fans cheer, Mansoor runs up, but Reynolds TOSSES him out onto Johnny! The fans fire up and Reynolds builds speed, to DIVE, but into Mason’s hands! Mason holds Reynolds up for Mansoor to DRAPING SENTON! Then Mason stomps Reynolds! Johnny tags in, he and Mansoor stomp Reynolds, too. Then they whip Reynolds into the railing!

Mansoor leaves Reynolds behind to argue with the ref, but this lets Johnny pops Taya up and POWERBOMB him onto Reynolds! The fans boo but Mr. & Mrs. TV make out. “Get a room! Get a room!” Taya says they’re just jealous! Johnny puts Reynolds in, KICKS him down, then drags him around. Tag to Mason and they double wrench to then crisscross and HIGH LOW KICK COMBO! Cover, TWO! The fans rally for Reynolds, but Mason DRIBBLES him off the mat! Mason then hauls Reynolds up, and HEADBUTTS him down! Mason snarls, he fingertip tags Mansoor, and they set up the CATAPULT into the RUMP!

Johnny says, “TASTE THE RAINBOW!” then he kisses Taya again. Mansoor drags Reynolds up to CLUB him down! The fans rally for Reynolds and he ROCKS Mansoor! And he ROCKS Mason, swipes at Johnny, but Mansoor ROCKS Reynolds! Tag to Johnny and they stomp away on Reynolds. Johnny KICKS Reynolds in the side, covers, TWO! Johnny clamps onto Reynolds and grinds him down but the fans still rally. Reynolds rises, arm-drags free, and he leaps! Johnny catches Reynolds and brings him away! ROLLING ALABAMA, then a SHINING WIZARD! Cover, Silver breaks it! Silver HAMMERS away on Johnny and the fans fire up!

The ref backs Silver down, and Johnny sucker punches him! Johnny swipes at Uno, Uno avoids it, and Uno argues with Johnny. Reynolds rises and springboard LARIATS! Down goes Johnny and the fans fire up! MXM TV freaks out as Johnny and Reynolds crawl, hot tags to Mansoor and Uno! Mansoor freaks out again, Uno LARIATS him and BLASTS Mason! Then he dodges Johnny to SPLASH Mansoor in the corner! Uno runs to ELBOW Johnny in the other corner, then runs back to SPLASH Mansoor! ELBOW for Johnny, LARIAT for Mansoor, then ELBOW for Johnny! SPLASH for Mansoor, then he dodges Johnny, Johnny SPLASHES Mansoor!

Mason runs in, but Uno dodges him, too! Mason SPLASHES Johnny & Mansoor! Uno runs side to side to BOOT Mason! Then he dodges a double lariat to DOUBLE LARIAT! The fans fire up and Uno waits on Mansoor, BOOT and DDT! Cover, Johnny breaks it! Johnny CLUBS Uno, Reynolds attacks Johnny! They brawl, as do Mansoor and Uno. Mansoor & Johnny ROCK Uno & Reynolds, then run, but Uno & Reynolds shout, “STOP~!” Then they DECK Johnny & Reynolds! Mason runs in, but Silver tells him, “STOP~!” Mason doesn’t listen and choke grips Silver! Uno & Reynolds save Silver, and Dark Order TRIPLE FOREARM!

Mason ends up on the ropes with Mansoor & Johnny, Dark Order coordinates, TRIPLE BOOTS! Then Silver GERMAN SUPLEXES Mansoor! The fans fire up and the Dark Order regroups. Uno tags Silver and it’s time to go up! Reynolds & Uno hoist Mansoor up, Silver runs, but Mason trips him! The fans boo as Mason drags Silver out, and Johnny springboards to FLYING CHUCK Uno down! Reynolds fights off Mansoor, then POP-UP KICKS Johnny! But Mason LEG LARIATS Reynolds! Silver waistlocks, but Mason is too big to lift! Mason ELBOWS free, runs, but Silver trips him up! Silver runs to BOOT Mason!

Silver fires up and the fans are with him, GERMAN SUPLEX!! Silver fires up again, and the fans cheer “Johnny Hungy!” Torture rack, but Taya distracts! Mansoor LOW BLOWS Silver! Tag to Johnny, he and Mansoor hoist Silver up for Mason to join in, FULL GLOSS CENTERFOLD! Cover, MXM TV wins!

Winners: MXM TV, by pinfall

They put out the challenge and they won it! Will Johnny and the boys be primed to face whoever comes out of Death Before Dishonor as the ROH World Six Man Tag Team Champions?

QTV returns?!

“The views and opinions expressed in this program are those of the speakers and do not necessarily reflect the views or positions of any entities they represent.” QT Marshall says he knows, he hasn’t been here in two years, what’s happening? Aaron Solow says the star of the new Naked Gun film claims he’s “one of the boys.” Yuck. Solow reads Paul Walter-Hauser’s post, “”I trained, tried, failed, won, sweat, traveled, was stiffed money, and bled. And I did it while having a family and acting career.” Solow says BFD, PWH. And QT tells PWH he is not and never will be one of the boys. And if QT sees PWH’s bootleg Louis Vuitton lying around, he’ll just throw it into the street.

And as for PWH the actor, uh, who is QT? Solow says QT is the only man to star in the movie, Rampage, AND the TV show, Rampage! Damn right! Harley, what else have we got? Wait, Harley is here? And she says she isn’t sure she should still be doing this. But they never really broke up. Oh. So they’re just in a group… forever? Well, they need someone to say things like, “Roll the footage.” Harley says no, her new thing is “Feel the Wrath,” but… Aw screw it, for old times sake! “ROLL DA FOO’AGE, GOVNAH!” And yes, film rolls of QT beating up on PWH when PWH was here a few weeks ago. But uh, only QT’s parts.

QT says now that was good acting, because PWH almost looked like a wrestler. Let’s hope PWH bleeds like one, too. QT gives his cocky grin, but will PWH smack that smile right off QT’s face in their Fight Without Honor?

Okumura VS Stigma!

The Nurumayu Machine of NJPW, CMLL, and even MLW fame, has come back to ROH! Will the living legend continue to establish his legacy even now? Or will the CMLL World Lightweight Champion (of 1263 DAYS and counting) establish himself as a legend in the making?

The bell rings, the two circle, and the fans rally up. The two tie up, go around, and Okumura waistlocks. Stigma wrenches free to wristlock, but Okumura wrenches back to wristlock. Stigma uses the ropes to flip through and arm-drag Okumura! The fans cheer as the two reset. They tie up, Stigma waistlocks to trip Okumura, then handsprings over. Okumura trips Stigma but Stigma reaches up to RANA! Okumura sweeps to cover, ONE! Stigma sweeps to cover, ONE! The fans cheer and the two reset. They feel things out, Stigma kicks low, then headlocks. Okumura powers out and he RUNS Stigma over!

The fans are torn as Okumura fires up. Okumura brings Stigma up, but Stigma SOBATS! Okumura SOBATS back! Okumura runs, Stigma dodges and RANAS! Okumura bails out, Stigma builds speed, and Stigma DIVES! Direct hit and down goes Okumura! The fans fire up and Stigma rises. Stigma hears the chants of “LUCHA! LUCHA!” and he goes back into the ring. Stigma builds speed, but Okumura moves aside. Stigma goes to the apron and SEATED SENTONS! The fans cheer, Stigma rises, and the ring count begins. Stigma stomps Okumura, drags him up, and he puts Okumura in the ring.

The fans rally behind Stigma and he blocks Okumura’s punch to GAMANGIRI! Stigma goes up, second rope and DOUBLE STOMP! The fans fire up as Stigma hurries back up, and from the very top, he hits a DIVING BODY PRESS! Cover, TWO! Okumura survives and Stigma is surprised! The fans rally, Stigma rises again, and he shouts, “Lucha Libre!” The fans cheer and Stigma brings Okumura up. Stigma whips Okumura to a corner, runs in, but is put on the apron. Stigma blocks a shot to bump Okumura off buckles. Stigma goes up but Okumura ROCKS Stigma first! Then SUPERPLEX! Cover, TWO! The fans rally as Stigma survives!

Okumura clamps onto Stigma, scoops him, and MICHINOKU DRIVER! Cover, TWO! Stigma survives and Okumura is annoyed. Okumura drags Stigma up, but Stigma CHOPS! Okumura CHOPS! The fans “WOO~” and Stigma CHOPS again! Okumura fires up, the fans fire up, and Okumura CHOPS! Stigma SUPERKICKS! Okumura tumbles, goes to a corner, and Stigma runs in, but Okumura puts him up top! Okumura CHOPS, then TOWER OF LONDON! Cover, Okumura wins!

The Cosmopolitan of Wrestling has a victorious return to ROH! Will he look to bring his hybrid style to the top

BREAKING NEWS for Death Before Dishonor!

While we knew the ROH World Tag Team AND World Six Man titles would be on the line, Tony Khan has officially classified them as VACATED. The Sons of Texas, Sammy Guevara & The Von Erichs, can still reign if they win the belts again, but they’ll be facing Shane Taylor Promotions for the Six Man titles! Will this be the opportunity STP needs to take over ROH? As for the ROH World Tag titles, Sammy Guevara also has an opportunity to win those back, but he has to choose his partner! Will it be a Von Erich? Will it be someone completely new? And either way, will they be ready for the Outrunners, Turbo Floyd & Truth Magnum?

Six Man Tag: El Sky Team VS Adam Priest & The Workhorsemen!

Mistico, Mascara Dorada y Neon retained their CMLL World Trios Championships just last week, but are back again to test themselves against one of ROH’s rising teams. Will the fans get to sing Me Muero in celebration again tonight? Or will #AllGenresAdam, JD Drake & Anthony Henry put El Sky Team to work?

The trios sort out and Mistico starts against Henry. The fans cheer Mistico on, and Henry offers the handshake. Mistico is wary, but he steps forward, and the Code of Honor is upheld. But then Henry kicks low! Seems Mistico was right to be wary! The bell rings, Henry whips Mistico, but Mistico jumps over the dropdown, only for Drake to KNEE Mistico down! The ref reprimands, Drake steps in, he and Henry mug Mistico to double whip. Mistico ducks the double lariats to SHOVE Drake into Henry! The fans fire up, Mistico blocks a shot to CHOP and KICK Drake, then he goes up, and up, and FLYING ARM-DRAG RANA COMBOS!

Mistico tags to Dorada and he dodges Henry! Neon GAMANGIRIS Henry while Dorada handsprings past Drake. Dorada comes back, dodges a lariat, then tilt-o-whirl RANAS Drake! Neon runs in and RANAS Henry! Both Workhorsemen bail out so Adam rushes in, only for Mistico to knuckle lock and CHOP! Mistico goes up, up, and walks the rope for a FLIPPING FLYING ARM-DRAG! Adam tumbles out to regroup with the Workhorsemen! El Sky Team all run, but Adam & Workhorsemen slide back in and CLOBBER them! The fans boo but Adam kicks Mistico out. Dorada slumps out of the ring so Neon is now legal under these Lucha Rules.

Henry drags Neon up and over, bumps him off buckles, then CLUBS him down. Henry eggs Neon on, the fans boo, but Neon ROCKS Henry! And CLUBS Drake! And GAMANGIRIS Adam! Neon swings on Henry but he ducks under to shove Neon at the ropes! Adam holds the ropes down, Neon dangles, but Henry runs up to SHOVE Neon to the outside! Neon staggers up, Adam kicks low, and Adam sends Neon to Drake’s SHOULDER TACKLE! Henry brings Neon around, whips him, and Drake pops Neon up to the apron to DECK him! Henry puts Neon in for Adam to pin, TWO! Adam UPPERCUTS Neon down!

Tag to Henry, they stomp Neon, and Henry stands Neon up to scoop. BACKBREAKER! The fans rally, Henry grabs Neon’s legs and then the mask. The ref reprimands, Henry stops and puts Neon in the corner. Henry ROCKS Neon, tags Adam, and Adam snap suplexes Neon! Tag to Henry for the NECK TWIST! Drake slingshot SENTONS! The Workhorsemen soak up the heat while mocking the luchadores. Drake drags Neon up, ROCKS him, then puts him in the corner. Drake CHOPS Neon, then he tags Adam. Neon CHOPS, Drake DECKS him! Adam CHOPS, Neon CHOPS, then Neon fires shots! But Henry CLAWS the mask!

The ref reprimands but Adam DECKS Neon! Adam then wrenches Neon’s arm, tags Drake, and they mug Neon. Adam scoop SLAMS Neon, then Drake picks Adam up for an ASSISTED ATOMIC LEG! Drake KOKESHI HEADBUTTS! Cover, TWO! Drake keeps Neon away from El Sky Team and goes for a chicken wing. Neon fires body shots, then CHOP after CHOP! Drake CLAWS Neon’s face through the mask! Henry tags in, the ref reprimands, and Drake stops. Henry CHOPS Neon! Henry KNEES low, stomps Neon’s hand, then tags Adam. Adam drags Neon around to drop a leg! Cover, TWO! Adam keeps Neon down with a chinlock.

The fans rally as Neon endures and fights around. Neon rises, fires body shots, but Adam CLAWS Neon’s face! Tag to Henry, they mug Neon, and then Adam and Drake BLAST El Sky Team! Henry has Neon in the corner, and they all stomp away! The ref reprimands and Henry soaks up the heat from the fans. Drake DECKS Mistico, Henry stands Neon up, and Henry whips Neon. Neon handsprings and then dodges again! Neon runs up to SHOTGUN Henry, then he dodges Adam and Drake! Mistico and Dorada are both up top! DOUBLE FLYING ARM-DRAGS for Adam and Drake! They tumble out just as Henry does, and the fans fire up!

El Sky Team coordinates, they see the Workhorsemen regroup, and El Sky Team builds speed! TRIPLE TOPES!! The fans are thunderous and El Sky Team is fired up! Mistico KICKS Henry, ROCKS him, and Neon stomps Adam! The fans rally for “LUCHA LIBRE!” as Adam is sent into railing! Mistico has Henry in the ring, PENALTY KICK! Mistico whips, Henry reverses, and Henry LARIATS! Henry runs, Mistico runs to LARIAT!

Mistico keeps moving, and he catches Henry for a SNAP POWERSLAM! Cover, but Drake breaks it! Mistico SUPERKICKS Drake! Neon KICKS Drake, too! They double whip, but Drake breaks the lariats! SHOTGUN BOOT for Neon! Dorada runs up, but into a CHOP! Henry is there, scoop and DRIVER! SHINING WIZARD from Drake! DIVING BODY PRESS from Adam! Cover, but Mistico breaks it! The fans fire up as all six men are down! Mistico hauls Adam up, they go forearm for forearm, fast ‘n’ furious! Mistico ROCKS Adam, the teams regroup, and now it is a brawl of all six men! The fans fire up as this is fast and furious!

Adam TOSSES Dorada, Henry TOSSES Mistico, Drake CHOPS Neon down, but then Dorada drags Adam out. Drake whips Henry in and he ROCKS Neon! Feed to Drake but Neon slips through! Neon ELBOWS Henry, dodges Drake, and SUPERKICKS! El Sky Team regroups and the fans rally up! Mistico y Dorada DOUBLE SUPERKICK Drake! Neon runs up to DROPKICK Drake outta the ring! The fans rally as Neon builds speed, and he FLIES! Down goes Drake! Mistico is in but Adam kicks him from behind! Adam whips, Mistico goes up and up and CROSSBODIES! Then a SOBAT! Adam flounders, the fans rally, and Mistico whips him toa  corner

Dorada GAMANGIRIS Adam, Mistico SUPERKICKS him down! Dorada goes up, the fans fire up, SHOOTING STAR PRESS!! Cover, TWO!! Adam survives, Henry is back, but he gets caught in LA MYSTICA!! FUJIWARA! Henry taps, El Sky Team wins!

Winner: El Sky Team, by submission

And indeed, Me Muero plays again! The fans sing along in celebration, and perhaps… Could the CMLL World Trios Champions find their way to fighting for the ROH World Six Man titles? Just who will those champions be after Death Before Dishonor?

Oh, Mistico has a mic to say, “Yeah! MI GENTE!” The fans cheer, and Mistico- GETS ATTACKED!! Mistico got hit by a CMLL belt, and the man is wearing that stolen red, green and white mask, because this is M J F!! The fans boo as the CMLL World (Light Heavyweight) Champion tells Mistico that MJF warned him to NOT come into MJF’s country ever again! MJF owns the United States, and now he owns Mexico! He is YOUR world champion, and if Mistico wants a shot at this belt, he better be ready to put everything on the line, perro! The fans boo, but MJF has just reminded everyone that the CMLL 92nd Anniversary Show is coming!

Will MJF pay for insulting not just Mistico but an entire culture and an entire country? Or is the legacy of the greatest luchador going to end at the hands of Maxwell Jacob Friedman?

My Thoughts:

A really good ROH at an hour and 12 minutes, but it was definitely more about hyping Death Before Dishonor. Good opening promo from #Brodido, great stuff from seeing Athena, Billie and Mina at Global Wars UK, but I don’t think any of those really add to the math. Bandido VS Hechicero at this point is 50-50, with how the Don Callis Family is building up with belts while Bandido & Brody are now AEW World Tag Team Champions. As I said for Dynamite, I think Athena retains her title now since she didn’t win the AEW Women’s World Championship at Forbidden Door. Plus, Mina still has the ROH Women’s World TV Championship to fall back on, even if it is “interim.”

The Sons of Texas are in an interesting situation now. Vacating the titles is probably just for the historical records, so that we get new champions no matter what happens. But with Sammy Guevara having to pull double duty, I feel like he’ll abandon The Von Erichs and stick with his new partner to keep the ROH World Tag Team Championships. This would let STP become the new Six Man Tag Champions, something that faction desperately needs. There is even a built-in feud for the World Tag Team titles, where Sammy and new partner feud with Marshall & Ross Von Erich. Sammy and the new guy would certainly win that because the Von Erichs are not quite ready for THE tag titles.

For that matter, when in the world has that ROH Women’s Pure Championship disappeared to? Tony Khan has talked on reasons for delays, and Syuri unfortunately getting hurt right as she debuted for AEW is, well, unfortunate. But can’t he still find a way to do it with 8 (or 16 from what he was hoping for) that are active and healthy? Kris Statlander, Willow Nightingale, Marina Shafir, Leila Grey, Serena Deeb, Queen Aminata (can’t believe someone would steal a passport), Taya Valkyrie, Deonna Purrazzo, Billie Starkz, Thunder Rosa, Anna Jay, Tay Melo, all the Triangle of Madness, Allysin Kay, crossover names like Persephone, maybe some names we haven’t seen in awhile like Emi Sakura, Mei Saruga, and Hikaru Shida. LOOK! Well over 16 names, and it’d do away with the stigma that ROH is beneath AEW.

Speaking of stigma, really good match from Stigma the luchador and Okumura, and a great win for Okumura. Also that is wild that Stigma has had the CMLL Lightweight title for three-and-a-half years. Meanwhile, very good stuff with MXM TV VS Dark Order, and a little surprising that MXM TV won their own Open Challenge. What’s the point of Dark Order talking about a comeback when it isn’t being booked? And great Six Man Tag main event, great win for El Sky Team, but I forgot that this was the taping where MJF attacked Mistico. Helped for the impact of MJF attacking Mistico and setting up their match for CMLL’s next major event. Pretty sure Mistico takes that title off MJF, because he isn’t losing his mask while still in his prime.

My Score: 8.7/10

Winner: Callum Newman, by pinfall (still IWGP Heavyweight Champion)

Yota protests as Callum again dirties up how he wins! Ospreay is still conflicted, but Zane says a win is a win. The rest of the United Empire makes their way out here to stand with their Prince, who still sits upon the throne. Is this going to be the last time Takagi gets a shot at this title? Or is there still hope with the G1 Climax this Summer?

As for Callum, he is handed the title by the Chairman of NUTS, and holds it up for the photo op. Callum then wants to add insult to injury, but Yota stands in his way. The Empire joins Callum in the ring, and Ospreay is the one calling they all stand down. But then Callum LOW BLOWS Yota and BELT SHOTS him down! The fans boo but then Jake sets Takagi up! But then Ospreay steps in! Ospreay says they won, that’s enough! Callum says okay, okay, he won’t do it. But Ospreay should! Ospreay says yeah, right, he’s not doing this BS. Is he with them or not? Yeah, but not like that! Oh, really? C’mon, “Death Rider Billy!”

Ospreay snarls, and he HIDDEN BLADES Takagi down! There, happy? The Empire applauds their former leader, then Callum gets the mic. “Daijobu?” Callum mockingly asks if they’re alright, and the fans boo. Callum then says hey, whether you like it or not, United Empire are the top dogs in this company now! And seeing as Unbound Company wants to ruin his moment ever single time, how about uh… Ignition to Dominion? In just two days’ time, they can settle it! Callum & Jake VS Yota & Takagi. And if the Empire wins, Yota & Takagi can NEVER challenge Callum for the title again. But if either of them pins Callum, then Dominion main event it is. Now F off!

Unbound Company exits, and Callum says the Empire is the best unit in Japan, in the world, and you will all make way for The Prince and Kiss The Crown! Callum leaves it at that, and the streamers fly for his victory. Callum with the top title, Andrade with the Global title, and the trio of Henare, Khan and a now reluctant Ospreay holding the NEVER Six Man titles, will nothing stop the United Empire from conquering the world? Or will this Empire fall apart from within?

My Thoughts:

A great second night of Wrestling Dontaku, with some rather surprising outcomes here and there. Konosuke was of course beating Chase in their match, but the surprise might be that Konosuke has Hontai as his allies here. I wonder if that will add to the dysfunction in Don Callis Family when you consider Andrade is United Empire, but then so is Ospreay, but then as Callum references, Ospreay is hanging out with The Death Riders, who they literally fought a few weeks ago. Meanwhile, I had not predicted Despy & Mistico winning those junior tag titles, and I was iffy on the Empire winning the NEVER titles, but those were great matches and great surprise wins.

Callum winning over Takagi wasn’t quite surprising, though Takagi looked awesome in this match. The fans all wanted Takagi, and they even got “Mrs. Takagi,” Natsupoi, in on the act, all to great effect. But Callum cheating to win helped protect Takagi in the loss while it helped build the dysfunction. I feel like the NEVER Six Man reign will be short given Ospreay can’t keep going back and forth between Japan and the States, but they are certainly going to give us Callum VS Ospreay so that Callum can truly establish himself as not just the leader of the Empire but as the best British/European/gaijin wrestler NJPW has today. We might even see more Empire VS Death Riders, but with a rather unique double turn where Death Riders are Face alongside Ospreay against an all Heel Empire.

My Score: 9.1/10
