Roman Reigns is here!

Birmingham is all fired up and the ones are raised to the sky for The OTC as he steps out on stage. Roman raises his one, and the pyro goes off. The fans chant “O T C! O T C!” and sing “Roman! Roman Reeeigns~!” as Roman continues to the ring. Roman raises his one again, and the second round of pyro goes off. Roman then grabs a mic, and the fans continue to sing “ROMAN! ROMAN REEEIGNS~! ROMAN, ROMAN REEEIGNS~!” The fans cheer, and go back to chanting, “O T C! O T C!” Roman smiles as the chant is now, “If You Love Roman, Stand Up! If You Love Roman, Stand Up!” Roman lets the world hear it as he soaks it all in.

The fans just keep the energy going and Roman grins. Roman says, “Alright, I imagine we could do this all night, but let’s get to it. Birmingham… ACKNOWLEDGE ME!” The fans cheer! Roman continues by saying, “It feels like old times. You still sound the same, loud as hell. And I got big plans. I’ve got big plans for tonight, big plans for the rest of this year, big plans for next year.” The fans cheer that. Roman says if he’s being real, he has to be honest with himself. The fans acknowledge him, but there is something he must acknowledge in order to move forward. See, it feels like old times, sounds like old times, but…

It’s not old times anymore. He’s not the same guy he used to be. The fans chant, “Yes, You Are! Yes, You Are!” Roman takes a moment, and he says, “Maybe I can be. But Cody predicted it a year-and-a-half ago.” The fans boo that. “Interesting… And then Seth and the… What do we call them? What’s the name? The Vision?” The fans boo again. Roman gets that one. But those guys followed through on what Cody said, they took everything from him. The fans tell off Rollins and Roman lets the world hear that, too. Roman smirks and says, “That’s who I’ve felt for a long time. But like I was saying, I gotta acknowledge the fact that things aren’t the same.

“I don’t have the things that I used to have. I don’t have a Bloodline.” Fans “YEET! YEET!” Well, if they brought it up, he’ll talk about it. Roman’s extremely proud of Jey. And anyone questioning Jey being in the Fatal 4 Way for Clash in Paris is just wrong. Jey won his match, scored the pin, he has the rematch clause, he’s the one who should be fighting for the championship. Roman appreciates the fans, and his time will come. But like he said, they took The Bloodline, took the Wiseman, took the titles, and the disrespect has not stopped. They took everything, so they had to find something to take from him!

“Which brings me to Bronson Reed.” The fans boo, Roman agrees, but “Ladies and gentlemen…!” Paul Heyman and Bronson Reed walk out, and Heyman continues his introductions. The fans “start too soon,” so Heyman starts over. He is Paul Heyman, and he stands before you tonight with “the realest gangster to hit Birmingham since The Peaky Blinders, The Tribal Thief, the owner of the Shoe-la Fala, BIG Bronson Reed!” The fans chant, “Who Are Ya? Who Are Ya?” Heyman says they were sitting in the back and Mr. Reed pointed out that it was five YEARS ago this very week that Brock Lesnar’s Advocate became Roman Reigns’ Wiseman.

The fans tell Heyman to STFU and Roman chuckles. Heyman says five YERS, this duo created a Bloodline! Five YEARS, this duo owned everything there was to own in the WWE and changed this entire industry together! And now look at Roman. Standing all alone in the ring. The fans chant for “O T C! O T C!” Heyman says he misses his Tribal Chief. He loved Roman for five years, and he loves him now. But that’s why he came out here tonight to disrespect his Tribal Chief. The fans still sing for Roman, but Heyman shakes his head. Heyman makes it “Bronson, Bronson Reeeed~!” but the fans boo.

Heyman says this isn’t out of malice but out of love, as he was speaking on before being so rudely interrupted by the people who are neither tough enough to live in Manchester nor rich enough to live in London. The fans boo all that, but Heyman says what Roman needs is the tough love! The tough love that a Wiseman, an Oracle, can give to his Tribal Chief! That is what Roman needs! Now, don’t think that in Paris, Heyman is man enough to deliver it himself, he is not man enough to beat that into Roman. But Bronson Reed is. The fans call Heyman a wanker, but Roman says, “Hey, dumbass. On Sunday in Paris, you’re gonna kiss my ass cuz I’m gonna whoop his ass!”

The fans cheer, but Heyman lets Reed respond. “Roman Reigns… At Clash in Paris, it isn’t about receipts, it is about disrespect.” The fans still troll Bronson, and he says he’s the guy who will kick Roman’s ass, how ’bout that? Roman is an educated man, but it is time for a history lesson. Roman’s tribe from Samoa is civilized. Bronson’s isn’t! They were exiled to Australia! Roman’s tattoos are paid for! Bronson’s are earned! And Roman… Bronson is the Samoan that Roman’s dad and uncle warned you about! And at Clash in Paris, Roman finds out why! Roman says, “Hold up. This guy’s Samoan? Why didn’t anybody ever tell me? That means your ass belongs to me!

“So maybe we should start this thing over. How about I give you one more shot since we’re cut from the same fabric, huh? How ’bout you bring your big ol’ ass down here and, uh, return my shoes, apologize to my people for wasting our time, ACKNOWLEDGE ME, and don’t ever send disrespect my way, huh?” The fans chant, “Give his shoes back!” but Bronson leaves them with Heyman as he says Roman doesn’t want him to come down there. Because if he does, he will force Roman to ACKNOWLEDGE the Tribal Thief. Roman says Bronson is right about one thing, he won’t have to come to the ring, because Roman’s going down there!

The fans fire up as the two brawl at the ramp! Roman sends Bronson into the barriers! But Bronson POSTS Roman in return! And HEADBUTTS him! They go into the ring, they brawl more, and the fans fire up! Security rushes out here, the fans boo and want to “LET THEM FIGHT! LET THEM FIGHT!” Bronson CLOBBERS guard after guard, then SPLASHES the rest against Roman! The fans boo but Bronson drags Roman around. Bronson wants the shoes! Roman KICKS Bronson, Bronson SENTONS back! Bronson goes up the corner but more security, and even producers, are here! Bronson just pushes through to go up!

The fans boo but Adam Pearce is also warning Bronson! Roman gets up to SUPERMAN PUNCH Bronson down! The fans fire up as Bronson tumbles! Pearce wants Roman to calm down now, and there is a wall of people in Roman’s way. So Roman goes out around the side! Roman uses the steps to LEAP and CLOBBER Bronson! The brawl goes back up the ramp and the fans cheer! It is chaos already, but will these two even make it to Paris?

Judgment Day meets up backstage.

Finn Balor asks JD McDonagh if he’s seen Dom, and they both look over. Dom’s talking with El Grande Americano again! Finn asks what this is all about, and Dom says don’t trip, chocolate chip. This is all good. He’ll catch up with them later. Finn and Dom fist bump, then Finn and JD head out. Will Judgment Day hold together despite whatever Dirty Dom is up to? Or will this serve as a new distraction that preys on the dysfunction?

JD McDonagh w/ Finn Balor VS Dragon Lee!

The bell rings and the two circle. They tie up, JD puts Lee in a corner, the ref counts, but Lee avoids a chop. Lee CHOPS, JD CHOPS, repeat! Lee BOOTS JD, blocks a kick, then DRAGON SCREWS! JD hobbles, Lee runs in, JUMP KICK! LEG SWEEP! COMBINACION DRAGON! The fans cheer Lee while JD sputters. Lee goes corner to corner but JD dropkicks the legs out! Lee falls into the corner, JD has the ref checks him, and Finn creeps up. The ref spots Finn! The ref knows what’s going on here, so she EJECTS Finn! Finn is upset but it seems JD has to do this alone. And then Lee FLIES! Down goes JD and the fans fire up!

Lee puts JD in, goes up the corner, and CROSSBODIES into a DROPKICK! JD’s leg is clearly fine and both men are down while Raw goes to break.

Raw returns and both men are down again after a superplex! The fans rally as JD and Lee stir. They find each other and fire haymakers! They rise up, keep throwing shots, and Lee CHOPS! The fans cheer, but JD ROCKS Lee! Lee fires more shots, more CHOPS, but JD bobs ‘n’ weaves to fire fast hands! JD ROCKS Lee, runs up, but Lee dodges! SNAP GERMAN! SUPERKICK! POISON-RANA!! JD sputters, Lee runs, but into a SPANISH FLY! Cover, TWO!! Lee survives and JD is frustrated but the fans fire up! JD brings Lee up but Lee fires body shots. Lee kicks low, reels JD in, but JD slips through! JD swings but Lee slips through the lariat!

JD kicks low, reels Lee in, but Lee slips free! Lee lifts JD, LIGER BOMB!! Cover, TWO!! JD survives and the fans fire up again! Lee goes to a corner, climbs up, and the fans sing for him. But JD hits the ropes to trip Lee up! The fans boo but JD CHOPS Lee! “WOO~!” JD goes up the corner, he and Lee fight for control, and Lee ROCKS JD! JD falls back into a Tree of Woe, and Lee rises up! JD tries to sit up, but Lee leaps to WOE STOMP! Cover, ROPEBREAK!! JD survives by a literal foot and Lee can’t believe it! Lee sits JD up, JD SLAPS Lee! Lee KNEES JD! But then the fans freak out from seeing DOM sneak in! DOm TRIPS Lee, JD LARIATS!

But AJ STYLES is here! Styles goes after Dom, SMACKS him off the apron and even POSTS him! Styles TOSSES Dom over barriers! JD is distracted, Lee takes aim! Lee takes off his elbow pad, souvenir for the crowd, DRAGON BLADE! And then tilt-o-whirl, OPERACION DRAGON!! Cover, Lee wins!

Winner: Dragon Lee, by pinfall

Just as Dirty Dom tried to give his guy an assist, The Phenomenal One made sure Dom got what he deserved! A great win for Lee, is the Boy Wonder finally going to go for some gold?

Backstage interview with LA Knight.

Jackie Redmond is with The Mega Star, and brings up the huge match at Clash in Paris. Before that, Knight has a match with Bron Breakker. It seems Rollins has his eyes on Knight, but there was also last week and CM Punk somewhat accidentally putting Knight through a table. Knight has Jackie pause there. That is one hell of an assumption, let’s put that one to the side, and LEMME TALK TO YA. Because last week, Knight thinks about CM Punk, and was it an accident? Or was it on purpose? There was a chance Punk could’ve slowed down, didn’t have to put Knight through the table, maybe. Let’s give Punk the benefit of the doubt.

But what’d he do after? Punk shrugged and just went on his way. Punk didn’t go to help Knight. But Punk talks about working together to take out Seth. Knight agrees with that sentiment, but Punk’s made it where it can’t happen now. Knight understands why Punk would try to take everyone else out, why he would take everything into his orbit. Why? Because Punk is a hungry man! They are all hungry, but guess what? It is feast or famine this Sunday, rations are limited, and this man ain’t going to bed hungry. Why? Because you’re looking at your next World Heavyweight Champion.

But bah gawd, how convenient, because Seth Rollins, Paul Heyman, they see it fit that Knight’s the only one who should have a match tonight. Well, here’s what’s gonna happen to you, Bron Breakker. It’ll be you smacked back to factory settings as you learn whose game this is once and for all, with everybody saying, “L! A! KNIGHT! YEAH!” Woof woof, dummy! Knight heads out, but will he be able to survive that unpredictable badass?

Rusev speaks.

“Sheamus… I was brought into this world, trained, conditioned and programed to crush. A super athlete. But I am when perfection is sought, but malice is found, trained by monsters, and then let go. When I came back, I told myself I would no longer listen to people who tell me who to hurt. I will now hurt anyone that I wanted to! And there’s nothing more than I’d love to do than hurt you, Sheamus. Clash in Paris, the match of your choice, in an arena packed with people like you: Cowards! You’ve picked your own poison, my friend, so my conscience is clear on what I’m about to do. Because I have found it is impossible to be good when you are destined to be great!”

The Bulgarian Brute is ready to CRUSH his former friend, but will the Celtic Warrior have the edge in the Good Ol’ Fashioned Donnybrook? Or will The Fella fall at the feet of The Son of Thunder?

Judgment Day regroups in the clubhouse.

Roxanne Perez is preparing for her match with Rhea Ripley, but the boys come in arguing about what happened in JD’s match. Isn’t Dom supposed to have JD’s back, too? JD’s back? What about Dom? Finn got ejected! Raquel has them calm down, they can’t keep blaming each other. Liv wouldn’t want this. Dom says that’s true. Hey, Finn and Styles go way back, can’t Finn handle this tonight? Tonight? Yeah, if he’s the great Finn Balor. Well, okay, he’ll go handle it! He’ll talk with Adam Pearce. JD asks if he should come with, but Finn says no, he can handle this himself. Raquel says good, time for Roxie to lock in. Tonight is a big night!

So far, things are holding together. But are those same old cracks in Judgment Day’s foundations opening up again?

PENTA VS Kofi Kingston w/ Xavier Woods & Grayson Waller!

The Man with Zero Fear did NOT have to pay any bit of that $12,000 but also somehow $18,000 for the giant hat, but that doesn’t mean New Day still isn’t looking for receipts. Will Kofi be the one to get it done? Or will all New Day’s whining and complaining still not measure up to #CeroMiedo?

Raw returns as New Day makes their entrance, Woods now sporting a top hate, cane and neck brace, while #BigG Grayson Waller is trying to get people to sign a petition to BAN the Mexican Destroyer (or any Destroyer) from use in WWE. The bell rings, Kofi and Penta tie up, and Kofi powers Penta to a corner. The ref counts, Kofi swings, but Penta dodges to CHOP, CHOP, CHOP! The fans cheer, the ref counts, Penta whips corner to corner. Kofi reverses, Penta goes up and over, then ducks ‘n’ dodges to RANA! Kofi tumbles, the fans fire up, and Penta LARIATS! And LARIATS! Penta whips, Kofi reverses again, but Penta jumps the dropdown.

Penta avoids the dropkick and reels Kofi in, but Kofi slips free and bails out to the apron. Ebeneezer Woods tells Penta to back off, the ref has Penta hold on, and Kofi gets up. Penta runs up but Kofi fires hands! Kofi bumps Penta off buckles, then goes up over to SPLASH Penta down! Cover, TWO! Kofi rains down fists on Penta and the fans rally. The fans taunt New Day, Kofi stomps Penta and tells everyone to hush. Kofi runs to IMPLODER SPLASH but onto knees! Penta is up to LARIAT Kofi up and over! The fans cheer and Penta builds speed, but New Day runs for it! The fans boo as Penta is denied his flight, but Raw goes to break.

Raw returns and Kofi has Penta down with a chinlock. The fans rally for Penta, he fights up, but Kofi CLAWS at the mask! The ref reprimands, Woods laughs, and Penta fights up. Penta fires body shots but Kofi KNEES low! Kofi whips, Penta KICKS back, then Penta runs to dodge and mule kick! Penta runs to SLING-DOG! Kofi flounders, Penta keeps moving, and he GAMANGIRIS in the corner! The fans fire up as Penta sits Kofi down, then headstands! The fans fire up, and Penta DROPKICKS! Cover, TWO! The fans rally up for Penta and he pump handles. Kofi slips free and CLUBS Penta down! Then PENALTY KICKS!

The fans boo but Kofi runs, “NEW~ DAY~!” “SUCKS!” BOOM DROP! Kofi fires up but the fans boo. Kofi claps, the fans chant “NEW! DAY SUCKS!” Kofi runs, spins, but into a mule kick! Penta whips, Kofi reverses, but Penta goes up and over, BACKSTABBER! Cover, TWO! Penta fires up and the fans are with him! Kofi rises, Penta runs in, DEST- NO, Kofi BACKDROPS free! FAMOUSER! Cover, TWO! Penta survives and Woods says that was three! Kofi runs up, Penta puts him on the apron, and Penta CHOPS! Penta climbs, Kofi fires body shots, but Penta hops down! Penta CHOPS Kofi, then goes up, but Kofi slips free of the rana!

Penta drags Kofi back up, and he suplexes Kofi into the ring! Penta then half nelsons, pump handles, PENTA DRIVER!! Cover, TWO!! Kofi survives and the fans can’t believe it! The fans rally up even harder as Penta aims, PLANCHA, but he lands out as Waller moves Kofi out of the way. Penta SUPERKICKS Kofi and the petition papers go flying! Penta then FLIES and takes out New Day! The fans fire up and Penta drags Kofi back into the ring. Penta goes up a corner, takes aim, but Waller distracts! Kofi YANKS Penta down, TROUBLE IN PARADISE! Cover, KOFI WINS!

Winner: Kofi Kingston, by pinfall

The Grayson Waller Effect affected Penta and Kofi wins! But will New Day ever give up on this baffling “mourning period?”

Rhea Ripley prepares backstage.

Iyo Sky walks over to say thanks again for last week. Iyo respects Rhea, but Kairi & Asuka are like family. They are not happy about Rhea getting involved in their business. So… They need to keep their distance for awhile. But then Kairi & Asuka see this in the background. Rhea says if this is what Iyo has to do, then she gets it. It’s okay. She pats Iyo on the shoulder, and Iyo says thanks for understanding. They hug it out, but that upsets Asuka! Iyo wishes Rhea luck, and Kairi again isn’t sure what to do about this. Can’t the Kabuki Warriors just talk it out with the Genius of the Sky?

Stephanie Vaquer meets with Adam Pearce.

La Primera says she needs to talk to him, and the Raw General Manager says he was planning on talking with her, too. Before going any further, Vaquer IS #1 Contender to the Women’s World Championship. But with Naomi now on maternity leave and the title being vacant… Paris cannot happen. He knows she’s disappointed, so is he. But there is a plan in motion, he just needs another week to finalize it. Give him that, then she’ll know who she is facing and when. Deal? She wishes she could have been at Clash in Paris, but she understands. She’ll be ready. He knows she will. They shake hands, but who will be joining her in a new golden opportunity?

Becky Lynch is here!

The WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion was on SmackDown for an Irish homecoming, but she kinda gave an Irish goodbye during the main event to let Nia Jax lose their tag match. But she’s here now on Raw, the fans cheer as she holds up the belt, and she grabs the mic. Becky says, “Bit of a mixed response out there, but uh… Okay, you can boo me, but I just want you to know that this place was a big part of my journey. It was 13 years ago that I first had my WWE tryout here in Birmingham.” The fans cheer that. “And it was a dump then and it’s a dump now!” The fans boo but they should’ve known that was coming.

Becky continues by saying, “Speaking of dumps… Nikki Bella thinks she can call me out to my ring? Call me out and I’m just gonna come? I’m not some loser! I’m not Aston Villa or Birmingham City.” The fans boo again but Becky says she’s not some dog that responds to a whistle. Who does she think- Well, Nikki Bella shows up herself now! The fans cheer and Nikki says, “Uh, hey, Becky… If you’re not a dog, then why’re you acting like a little b*tch?” Becky laughs that off, then asks what Nikki just said. Nikki says if Becky ain’t one, then she should have no problem facing Nikki for that title. Becky laughs again but the fans cheer.

No, “Negative Nikki,” you don’t call the shots, Becky calls the shots! She doesn’t give out title matches all willy-nilly! Especially not with “Broke Neck Barbie.” Uh, this broken Barbie kicked your ass last week, if you don’t remember. And she paved the way for Becky, so because of Nikki, Becky has a page to write that history on. Becky says okay, yes, Nikki blazed a trail, her and her twin, the better Bella really. But they transcended the business, brought in a new audience, Becky knows all that, she just doesn’t care. She never wanted to respect Nikki, Becky wanted to replace Nikki, and she’s done a pretty good job.

Nikki says Becky wanted to “replace” Nikki cuz she’s too scared to face Nikki. And Nikki remembers, Becky used to be the scared girl in the corner as Charlotte Flair’s sidekick. The fans “WOO~” for that one. Becky says she is no one’s sidekick, no one’s shadow, it says so in her new theme song! Becky is the greatest women’s wrestler of all time, and she’s not the only one sayin git, Sports Illustrated said it! Well no one cares what Sports Illustrated has to say about it! Nikki cares about what the fans have to say! The same fans Becky craps on week after week! These fans made Becky relevant! And y’know what? Becky reeks so much of desperation!

Becky has become so desperate! And that’s not only Nikki who thinks it, everyone thinks it, the fans think it. Right, Birmingham? The fans cheer! “Becky’s Desperate! Becky’s Desperate!” Becky says don’t hijack this! Classic Brits, trying to take it over! 800 years of oppressing the Irish wasn’t good enough!? Nikki says that’s what she means! Is this what The Man has become? Has Becky lost her balls? Becky does have balls! Well, here’s what you don’t have: class. Becky cheats, she’s cheap, and she might be a champ but she’s also another C word: COWARD. Becky says that’s even worse than the one she thought Nikki would say!

Becky is NOT a coward! If Nikki wants her match, fine! BUT… in Paris at Clash. The fans boo but Becky says she is NOT wrestling in Birmingham! The only good thing to come outta here just died a month ago! But in fairness to Ozzy, he had the good sense to move to Los Angeles, a proper city. Cuz if Becky lived her, she’d die, too! Wow, unreal. Becky with the cheap tricks. Nikki knows why Becky is so mad: No matter how hard Becky tries, her name will never be as big as “Bella.” Nikki then snatches the belt and says Becky will hear “Bella” as the NEW Women’s Intercontinental Champion! The fans cheer that, but then Becky kicks!

Nikki blocks, and she DECKS Becks! Nikki grabs at legs, Becky kicks free, and then Becky clinches! Nikki pops free, fireman’s carries, but Becky slips free! Becky bails and Nikki grabs the belt! Nikki holds it up, then tosses it to Becky. Will Nikki have it for her own soon enough? Or is Nikki not quite ready for The Big Time?

Backstage interview with CM Punk.

Jackie is now with The Second City Saint and says after talking to Knight, Knight had a lot to say about last week and about Sunday. She knows Punk loves hearing people talk about him, so what is his response? Punk says yes, he heard that stuff, too. Punk isn’t trying to be a friend, he knows what is at stake. Obviously, every man for himself, but leading up to it, Punk wanted the others on the same page. Knight didn’t wanna play ball, Jey wanted it his way, and Rollins is the problem with the numbers. Punk just wanted everyone else to make it to Paris for that opportunity.

Knight thinks Punk maliciously put him through a table, but he’s wrong. Does Punk care that Knight’s just a clumsy idiot? Absolutely not. Knight says Punk is hungry? No, he is obsessed! He had the title in his hands, and it was ripped away but Rollins. Clash in Paris, every man for himself, the Best in the World does what he does best and that is win. So to Rollins, Jey, and Knight, if Punk has to cripple them all, he will do it. He will paint a masterpiece with their blood with everybody saying, “C! M! PUNK!” Punk storms off, but will he truly shine in the City of Lights?

Sheamus speaks.

“Rusev, me old buddy, welcome back to the WWE. Y’know, those are words I never thought I’d say. But when I heard you were coming back, I cringed. The big superstar return no one wanted, and no one asked for, especially me. Why? Because you lost your love for the game, you were passionless. And no one was buying you speaking from a darkened room, beating up smaller guys, stomping around and craving attention. Cringe. But over the last couple of weeks, something changed. Our trilogy of matches and brutal outta-the-ring exchanges has awoken the fighter I remember. Thanks to me, the world remembers who the real Rusev is.

“And now just days away from a potential show stealer at Clash in Paris with a Good Ol’ Fashioned Donnybrook match, the truth is, you won back my respect. But don’t forget, I was the one who had to drag it outta ya. So this Sunday, I want you to bring your A Game. I want you to bring your hate, I want you to bring your aggression, I want you to try and rip me bleeding head off, I want you to bring the old Rusev back, because don’t forget, I made you relevant again! From Bulgaria down to France, with banger after banger, after banger.” The Celtic Warrior is ready, but will he regret bringing all of that out of Rusev?

Rhea Ripley VS Roxanne Perez w/ Raquel Rodriguez!

Just when she thinks she’s out, they pull her back in. Judgment Day was picking on her friend so she ran out there to help, and now Rhea’s got a fight with Roxie on her hands. Will Mami still be on top in Birmingham? Or will the Prodigy be the one to finally remove this thorn from Judgment Day’s side?

Raw returns and Roxie has made her entrance, Raquel by her side. The bell rings and the fans rally up. They circle, approach, and Roxie dodges to SLAP Rhea! Rhea frowns, swings, but Roxie dodges to jump on! Rhea RAMS Roxie into buckles again and again! Then Rhea runs up, but Roxie ROCKS her! Rhea CLUBS Roxie, Roxie shoves back, then Roxie dropkicks legs out! Rhea hits buckles, Roxie fires haymakers, but Rhea shoves her! Then DROPKICKS her! Roxie flounders, Rhea roars, and the fans fire up! Rhea fires hands, HAMMERS away, but the ref backs her off. Rhea runs up again but Roxie bails out!

Rhea is annoyed but the fans rally behind her. Raquel coaches Roxie, but Rhea slides out and runs up on her! Roxie RAMS Rhea into the apron, SMACKS her off the apron, but Rhea BODY BLOWS! Then she SMACKS Roxie off the apron in return. Rhea puts Roxie in the ring, storms up, and she FLAPJACKS Roxie! The fans fire up, Rhea brings Roxie up, and pump handles! RIP- NO, Roxie flails and fights free! Roxie bails out, Raquel again coaches her, but Rhea watches closely. The fans rally, Rhea runs out, but Roxie slides in! Rhea is annoyed, but Roxie DIVES! Rhea catches Roxie! Rhea then pops Roxie up, but Roxie slips free!

Roxie hides behind Raquel, the fans boo, but then Roxie runs up! Rhea ROCKS Roxie first! Rhea puts Roxie in the ring, eggs Raquel on, but Roxie DIVES! Down goes Rhea and Raquel smiles. Roxie drags Rhea up and puts her on the apron to then spin around, and she SLAMS the leg off the edge! The fans sing, “She Ain’t Liv Morgan! She Ain’t Liv Morgan!” Roxie grabs Rhea’s leg to DDT the foot! Roxie soaks up the heat, then she goes out to drag Rhea over to the corner. But Rhea YANKS Roxie into the POST! Rhea then drags Roxie up to the apron, reels her in, but Roxie fights free! Roxie ROCKS Rhea! Rhea runs up, but Roxie dodges!

Rhea’s foot is stuck in the ropes, Roxie ROCKS her then drops KNEES on the leg! Rhea falls and writhes, but Roxie grins as she slips in. Roxie runs, UPPERCUT to the back! Rhea flounders, the fans sing for her, but Roxie goes up, up, and LIONSAULTS! Cover, TWO! Roxie is annoyed, she taunts Rhea, and Raw goes to break.

Raw returns and the fans rally up while both Rhea and Roxie are down. Roxie runs up, Rhea wrenches to short arm LARIAT! And short arm LARIAT! And ripcord to mule kick! Then a gut wrench for the- NO, Raquel saves Roxie! The fans boo but Rhea sees what happened. Rhea pulls Raquel’s hair! Roxie ROCKS Rhea, goes up, and SUPER STEINERS! The fans boo but Roxie runs, HANDSPRING KNEE DROP! Cover, TWO! Roxie is frustrated but Raquel coaches her to keep going. Roxie talks trash on Rhea, SLAPS her, but the fans sing, “Rhea, Rhea, Ripley!” to the tune of We Will Rock You. Rhea grabs Roxie by the neck!

Roxie SLAPS again, then fires off KICK after KICK! Roxie runs, into a HEADBUTT! Rhea reels Roxie in, gut wrench and RAZOR’S EDGE! Then ENZIGIRI! Cover, TWO! Roxie survives and Rhea is frustrated but the fans rally up. Rhea drags Roxie by her legs but Roxie BOOTS her away! Rhea runs up, Roxie dodges, but Rhea WRECKS Raquel! The fans fire up and Rhea returns to the ring, only for Roxie to DROPKICK the leg! Roxie hops on, Rhea pops free, but Roxie rolls Rhea up, with bridge! TWO! Roxie ducks ‘n’ dodges, tilt-o-whirls, but Rhea stops the Russian Leg Sweep! HEADBUTT! Pump handle! RIPTIDE!! Cover, Rhea wins!

Winner: Rhea Ripley, by pinfall

But Raquel CLOBBERS Rhea! The fans boo as Raquel HAMMERS Rhea, then checks Roxie. Rhea CAPOERIA KICKS! Then HEADBUTTS! Rhea pump handles Raquel, but Roxie anchors Rhea’s leg! Raquel breaks free and LARIATS Rhea down! The fans rally for “IYO! IYO!” and yes! The Genius of the Sky rushes out there to help her friend! Raquel swings, Iyo dodges, and SHOTEI! SHOTEI! SHOTEI! But then Roxie runs up! Iyo FLAPJACKS Roxie! Iyo BUZZSAWS Roxie, but Raquel KNEES Iyo!

Raquel TOSSES Iyo, but Rhea HEADBUTTS Raquel! Iyo MISSILE DROPKICKS Raquel! Iyo handsprings and the fans fire up! Rhea and Iyo tried to keep their distance but some friendships are just magnetic. Will these two have to stick together by default? What must Judgment Day do to get rid of Rhea?

The Vision regroups backstage.

Bronson Reed is still seething from the brawl with Roman Reigns earlier tonight, and Paul Heyman looks to Seth Rollins. Rollins grins and laughs. Heyman was right about this one. No, no, Rollins was right about this one. Heyman’s right! Rollins was right! Rollins knows what Bronson is capable of because he felt it first hand! Is Bronson mad? Yes. Pissed off? YES! Paris is Bronson’s time! Bronson is going to DESTROY Roman Reigns! And Rollins cannot wait to see it. And tonight, Bron Breakker, BARK BARK BARK, is gonna make sure that LA Knight YEAH~ doesn’t even make it to Paris! HAHAHAHA~!

Rollins says this IS The Vision, boys. It is everything that they have dreamed of, and they are on the verge of becoming so much more. Rollins smiles as he leads the way  out, but will the attack dog tear apart one of Rollins’ three challengers just days away from the Clash?

Rhea and Iyo regroup backstage.

Rhea’s knee is still sore, but she says, “So much for keeping your distance.” Iyo says she still owed her for last week. Rhea says she doesn’t owe her anything, but she does appreciate it. Rhea heads out, Asuka storms in, and Kairi holds Asuka back as Asuka yells at Iyo for going back on her word! Rhea is to stay out of their business, but it is Iyo going to Rhea! Is Rhea suddenly family? She’s NOT! So what is Iyo still doing? Kairi keeps the peace, but does ask whose side Iyo is on. Iyo tries to plead her case but Asuka won’t hear it. Iyo has to STOP talking to Rhea, or else! Iyo still wants Asuka to listen to her side, but Asuka storms off.

Iyo asks Kairi to please trust her, but Kairi says she is sorry as she goes off with Asuka. Will Iyo have to lose one friend in order to keep another?

Finn Balor VS AJ Styles!

Judgment Day fumbled and bungled things with Dragon Lee earlier tonight, in part because The Prince got caught, and in part because The Phenomenal One is the “Number One Dominik Mysterio Hater.” But will Finn be able to solve the Styles problem for Dirty Dom? Or is Styles going to fight his way back to being number one contender to Dominik Mysterio’s Intercontinental Championship?

Raw returns, Finn makes his entrance and is indeed on his own. The bell rings, the two circle, and they feel things out. Finn kicks low, then KICKS Styles to ropes! Finn then LARIATS Styles down before he TOSSES Styles out! The fans are torn as Finn storms around, but there are a lot more fans cheering on Styles. Styles gets up, gets on the apron, then steps in. He and Finn reset, Finn kicks, but Styles blocks! Styles fires off forearms and haymakers, then has Finn in the corner. The ref backs Styles off but Finn kicks low! Finn headlocks, Styles powers up and out, then he hurdles, drops down, and DROPKICKS!

The fans fire up as Styles TOSSES Finn! The ring count starts but Styles aims, PLANCHA! Down goes Finn and the fans fire up! Styles CHOPS Finn, then brings him around to put in the ring. The fans rally for Styles, but Finn puts Styles in the corner for CHOP after CHOP! Styles turns things around to CHOP Finn! Styles whips Finn corner to corner, Finn reverses, and Finn runs up. Styles BOOTS Finn, goes out to the apron, and he ROCKS Finn! Styles springboards but Finn trips him up! The ref wants Finn to back off, Finn says fine, but then he slips around and DROPKICKS Styles to the floor!

Finn throws up the Too Sweet and the fans are torn while Raw goes to break.

Raw returns, Finn CLOBBERS Styles, then he soaks up the heat. The fans rally as Styles stirs, and Finn mocks them. Finn brings Styles up, but Styles fires a Phenomenal Blitz! Finn ducks the lariat to CROSSBODY, but Styles catches him! SWINGING BACKBREAKER! Both men are down and the fans fire up! Finn and Styles go to corners and stand up. Finn runs in, but Styles dodges! Styles fireman’s carries, Finn slips free, and Finn dragon sleepers! But Styles pops free, dodges as haymaker, and PELES! The fans fire up as Styles runs, SLIDING FOREARM! Styles fires up, the fans are with him, and Styles runs in, LARIAT in the corner!

Styles fireman’s carries, USHIGOROSHI! Cover, TWO! Finn is still in this, but the fans rally up as Styles rises. Styles reels Finn in, calls his shot, but Finn DUMPS Styles to the apron! But Styles ROCKS Finn! Styles springboards, but Finn gets under! Finn runs up, SLINGBLADE! The fans are torn but Finn takes aim. Styles rises, staggers, and Finn SHOTGUNS him into the corner! Finn pushes Styles into the drop zone, climbs up the corner, COUP DE- NO! Styles dodges, then he snatches a leg! CALF- NO, Finn slips free to trip! Jackknife bridge, TWO, and Styles has the STYLES CLASH!! Cover, Styles wins!

Winner: AJ Styles, by pinfall

The Phenomenal One wins a phenomenal match with his old friend and rival, but will Styles now head for another match with Dom? Or will Dom go back to finding excuses?

Jey Uso speaks.

“My mind’s everywhere, Uce. Gotta keep my eye on The Vision every single week. Got CM Punk, LA Knight, beefing over on the side, don’t know who to trust. Got the 4 Way at Clash in Paris. I’m just trying to be World Heavyweight Champ again, Uce. You feel me?” He’s talking to Roman! Roman says yes, he feels that. The last thing you ever wanna do is trust CM Punk, though. And what’s going on? Why’s Jey so uptight? He’s acting like he hasn’t been doing this for 20 years now. Relax. Who cares about the help? Jey’s helped enough. Roman can say that the most. Jey helped Roman, helped the family, this locker room, this company. Go out there for yourself.

Jey can smash ’em all and take that title home. That’s all that matters. It ain’t about being one of the boys or making friends, but about capturing moments and locking in their legacy. That’s what Roman’s always been about. That’s just Roman’s perspective, though. Jey has to go and do Jey. They shake hands and YEET. Will Main Event Jey prove he is truly the main event this Sunday in Paris?

Bayley speaks.

She takes a deep breath to make sure that voice doesn’t come up. The Role Model doesn’t know what she needs, but then another voice appears! “You were a success because you always did the right thing!” Oh, so that Bayley is here, too? “You always had your head on your shoulders and you went for it! You always listened to your heart and that’s why we were a success!” Bayley can’t believe it, but this voice says it was how Bayley became NXT Women’s Champion for the first time, it was the best! She didn’t get to Mania this year, but she’s been there before. Walking in as champ, walking out as champ, does she not remember what that feels like?

Bayley is successful because Bayley has believed in herself! Bayley agrees with the positive voice, but then her negative side returns! “Blah blah blah, are you still here? Grow up! We’ve moved past you, nobody even talks about you anymore. This is how you think we’re gonna get to the top? Well ding dong, we were better off without you.” Bayley says it’s always like this. Hugger Bayley says they had a good time together, but Ding Dong Bayley says no, you’re an idiot, childish and insecure. That’s just mean… Aw, sorry. Sorry that you’re stupid! Ding Dong Bayley had a talk show! But Hugger Bayley was here first! Hugger Bayley was a champion first!

But Ding Dong Bayley was a DOUBLE CHAMP! So what? The real Bayley wants her thoughts to stop, but they keep arguing. STOP! STOP!! STOP!!! Is everything (not) alright with the Role Model?

Lyra Valkyria talks with Adam Pearce.

After seeing that video on top of the others, The Morrigan wasn’t sure who to talk to. This Bayley situation is genuinely concerning. Is there any kind of medical update on her? Pearce has called her, but nothing official has been said. As soon as he hears something, he’ll let everyone know. Lyra says okay, but they really do need to check on Bayley. Lyra heads out, and in steps Judgment Day. Pearce grumbles but Dom says they need to talk. Can they handle this Styles situation? He’s outta control! What? Styles and Finn just had a match. Yeah, but Dom wants more! This wasn’t enough.

Styles cost JD his match, he’s been stalking Dom, he cost Dom the AAA title, it has to end! Pearce can’t believe he’s saying this, but Dom is right. Dom knows that! Pearce will make it right: Next week, Raw in Paris, AJ Styles- Barred from the building? No, even better. Styles VS Dom! And for the Intercontinental Championship! Finn smirks behind Dom’s back as Pearce says it is official! Dom tells “Charles Xavier” that no, this is not good! But too late, Pearce walks off. Will Dirty Dom finally have to handle his own problems?

The Vision heads for gorilla.

And ROMAN CLOBBERS BRON! He might’ve been aiming for Bronson, but Bronson goes after Roman anyway! The brawl is on again and Roman sends Bronson into a PILLAR! Then a SUPERMAN PUNCH knocks Bronson down! Security and producers rush in, but Roman leaves it at this. Will Roman make sure the rest is taken care of on Sunday? Pearce storms in, he has security usher Bronson out of the building, too. He tells Bron to get to the ring, but LA KNIGHT attacks! Pearce is upset but he lets Knight do what he will. Knight tells Bron gorilla is this way. Knight SMACKS Bron off road case after road case, and then ROCKS him with a haymaker!

Knight brings Bron through the curtain and to the stage! The fans cheer as Knight ROCKS Bron some more! Bron kicks low, whips, but Knight reverses! Bron runs into the giant LED tron! Knight drags Bron along, CLUBS him, and they go to the back end of the crowd! Knight says no, let’s go this way. Knight SMACKS Bron off barriers, but Bron hits back! Bron is mad now but Knight kicks low! Knight fires hands, SMACKS him off barriers, then they go down the ramp. The fans cheer as Knight CLUBS Bron more, and Raw goes to break. Is Knight about to take one of Rollins’ pawns off the board?

LA Knight VS Bron Breakker w/ Paul Heyman!

Raw returns and Knight stomps a mudhole into Bron, “YEAH! YEAH! YEAH!” The ref reprimands, Knight says hold on, and he stomps Bron more! “YEAH! YEAH! YEAH!” Knight runs corner to corner and KNEES Bron down! Bron sputters and the fans rally up. Knight drags Bron up, the fans tell Heyman he messed up, but Bron reverses the whip. But Knight still hits a NECKBREAKER! Cover, ONE! Bron is still in this but Knight puts Bron on the ropes. Knight CHOKES Bron, the ref counts, and Knight stops to KNEE Bron down. Knight stalks Bron, bumps him off buckles, and he fires haymakers. But Bron turns things around to RAM into Knight again and again!

The fans either boo or bark but Bron rains down more fists. Bron headlocks, Knight powers up and out, but Bron ducks ‘n’ dodges! Bron CLOBBERS Knight! The fans bark again and Bron dares someone to use that stupid chant. It’s just one word, Knight’s got nothing else! Bron shoves Knight over, rains down fists, and the fans bark. The fans make it a song, but Bron CHOKES Knight on the ropes. The ref counts, Bron mocks the “YEAH! YEAH!” but he steps off at 4. Bron drags Knight up and BACKDROPS him! Knight writhes, Bron says, “Look! It’s one half of the 100!” Bron is again making fun of how old Knight and Punk are, but he’s still off by about 12 years.

Bron takes off his new “Fear the Spear” shirt, throws it at Knight, then he throws Knight with a GERMAN SUPLEX! Bron stands Knight up, winds up, but Knight dodges the haymaker! Knight JABS, JABS, JABS! “YEAH! YEAH! YEAH!” Bron wobbles, Knight spins, LARIAT! Then RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP! Knight runs and LARIATS Bron up and outta the ring! The fans fire up and Knight takes aim. Knight builds speed and WRECKS Bron with a dropkick! Bron is down, Knight paces, and he tells Heyman that on Sunday, Knight gets the title. Knight goes back to Bron, but Bron YANKS him into the desk! The fans want tables, but Bron RAMS Knight into the apron!

Bron RAMS Knight into the steel steps, and the fans boo while Raw goes to break.

Raw returns again and Bron wrangles Knight with a chinlock. The fans rally, Knight endures, and Knight fights up. Knight is up and he fires body shots. Bron dodges a haymaker, but Knight turns kitchen sink into roll-up! TWO, and Knight goes to a corner. Bron runs up, Knight dodges, but Bron denies the jumping neckbreaker! Bron says he’s too smart for that. Bron bumps Knight off buckles, then hoists him up top. Bron climbs, Knight fires body shots, but Bron hits back. They brawl, Knight SHOVES Bron, but Bron returns! Bron goes up right up, SUPER STEINER! Cover, TWO! Knight survives and Bron is frustrated.

The fans rally up but Heyman coaches Bron. Bron says he’s gonna break Knight and Heyman says go right ahead! Bron aims from a corner, runs in at Knight, but Knight KICKS Bron! Knight goes to ropes, runs up, but Bron catches him! Bron lifts Knight, but Knight counters with a DDT! Both men are down and Heyman freaks out while the fans rally up! “This is Awesome!” as Knight and Bron go to ropes. Heyman coaches Bron to get up and finish this off! Bron ROCKS Knight, Knight ROCKS Bron! They go back and forth, haymaker for haymaker! “RUFF! YEAH!” and repeat! Knight gets the edge, Bron shoves him, but Knight ducks ‘n’ dodges to LARIAT!

The fans fire up and Knight shoves Bron into a corner! JUMPING NECKBREAKER! The fans fire up again, Knight kicks and facelock, but Bron powers out to fireman’s carry! Knight almost goes flying just from that! Knight slips free to DDT again! The fans rally and Knight goes up the corner. Bron rises, Knight spells it out, “L! A! KNIGHT! YEAH!” BOX JUMP- NO, Bron dodges, but Knight hurries to kick! B F- NO, Bron powers out and LARIATS! The fans bark and boo but the straps come down! Bron vows to end this, and he builds speed to- BOOT from Knight! Cover, TWO! Bron is still in this and the fans rally up.

“This is Awesome!” as Knight fires off on Bron in the corner. Knight hoists Bron up top, ROCKS him, then climbs up. Bron fires body shots first! Bron SHOVES Knight, but Knight springs up top! SUPER DUPER PLEX!! Knight hurries back up, “L! A! KNIGHT! YEAH!” BOX JUMP ELBOW DROP! Knight says time to end this! Bron rises, but “BURN IT DOWN~!” Rollins storms out here! The fans sing, “WHOA~ OH~ OHH~!” but Knight chases Rollins! They go around the way, SPEAR outta nowhere!! The fans boo and bark but Bron drags Knight up. Bron puts Knight in the ring, fans chant for “C M PUNK! C M PUNK!”

Bron builds speed, and he SPEARS Knight again!! Cover, Bron wins!

Winner: Bron Breakker, by pinfall

The Visionary helped his henchman win, and now rains down fists on Knight! Bron and Rollins stomp Rollins, but JEY USO makes his way out! The fans bounce and sing along for Jey, and he gets in there to TOSS Bron! Jey fires haymakers on Rollins, “YEET! YEET! YEET!” Pop, lock ‘n’ HAYMAKER! Then SUPERKICK! Jey rips his shirt, takes aim, but Bron is up first! Jey dodges to fire haymakers! Rollins kicks Jey! Underhooks, PEDIGREE!! Rollins tells Bron to top this off, but the fans again chant for “C M PUNK! C M PUNK!” Rollins rains down fists on Knight, Bron rains down fists on Jey, then Bron CHOKES Jey!

Rollins tells Bron to set Jey up and Bron does as told. But CM PUNK makes his way out here! The fans fire up, sing Cult of Personality, and Punk brawls with Bron! Bron picks Punk up, but Punk slips free to POST Bron! Punk then locks eyes with Rollins! Rollins throws off his green jacket, Punk jumps in, and they brawl! Punk gets the edge with haymakers, then he kicks away on Rollins’ legs! Rollins goes to the apron, Bron drags Rollins to safety, and the fans boo. The Vision is in retreat, but Rollins says Punk will never get this title back! The fans taunt Rollins, Rollins says do not listen to them! Rollins is not a p*ssy, he’s a KING!

Punk helps Jey up, but Knight gets mad that Punk just ignored him! Knight and Punk start shoving, Jey steps in and says to leave it for Sunday. Knight shoves Jey! Rollins says look, Bron, these three will do the hard work for them. Knight and Punk start brawling! Punk stops the BFT but sends Knight into Jey! Punk fireman’s carries Knight, Knight slips free, but Punk dodges and Jey SUPERKICKS! The fans “YEET! YEET! YEET!” Rollins laughs, and then Jey SUPERKICKS Punk! Rollins loves it even more! But he says not even Jey stands a chance of taking this title back! Roman’s advice seems to have gotten through to Jey, will he smash ’em and stack ’em to become the champion?

My Thoughts:

A great Raw here as their go-home for Clash in Paris, with them finally locking in some things as well. Very good opening promo from Roman with Heyman and Bronson, and we officially have Roman VS Bronson for Paris. Great brawl, and I liked Roman getting involved with other parts of the show tonight. Good promos from all of Rollins’ opponents, as well as from Rollins himself with The Vision. Roman going after Bron & Bronson before the main event was an interesting move but it certainly limited who was out there to help Bron and by extension Rollins. Great main event match, but it made sense for Rollins to cost Knight.

Good brawl to close the show, but Jey standing tall over everyone else at the end makes me think Rollins is retaining. Fatal 4 Ways having No Disqualifications, Bron can easily help, and clearly Punk and Knight are in each other’s way. It feels like Rollins will hold onto the world title for quite some time, but it really depends on the long term plans of The Vision’s story. While fans love Roman, I feel like Bronson should win, he needs to keep pace with Bron so that they can start looking at the other titles on Raw.

With that, great stuff out of the Judgment Day tonight. JD VS Lee was really good, even with Finn, Dom and Styles getting involved out there. Great win for Lee, he also needs something to stay afloat. But we also got a really good match from Finn and Styles, and perhaps phase two of Finn’s plan to mess Dom up is in motion as now Dom VS Styles for the Intercontinental Championship happens next week. Perhaps Styles finally wins so that the story can pivot. Good stuff in Rhea VS Roxie and how it also ties into this growing story of Iyo, Asuka & Kairi. Commentary mentioned Asuka’s video on her YouTube, where she revisits her history with Iyo, and this whole story is working off that, so clearly, Triple Threat Tag of Rhea & Iyo VS Kabuki Warriors VS Roxie & Raquel has to be coming.

Fun stuff from Penta VS Kofi, but Kofi winning here makes sense. Waller needed to finally be of use, and it could compel Penta to finally bring in an ally or two. Maybe Fenix AND Andrade? I know they haven’t been on SmackDown since SummerSlam but I would think that duo is still sticking together. I’m a little disappointed we aren’t getting Vaquer VS literally anyone for Clash in Paris, but WWE is clearly determined to keep their other stories on track, no veering just for this. Maybe next week it is announced they do qualifiers that lead to a bigger match that then gives Vaquer her opponent, or even opponents. But very good promo from Becky and Nikki to give us a Women’s Intercontinental Championship match, that’ll be really good.

And very good promo from Bayley to not just make this about a new Heel turn, but more like a Three Faces of Foley situation. Hugger Bayley is the angel on her shoulder to counter Ding Dong Bayley being the devil, and Bayley could find herself going back and forth between those gimmicks and this more natural “Role Model” Bayley she’s become. Lyra continuing to be an element in that story is also good, Lyra could explore her own feelings and feel guilty for pushing Bayley away when Bayley just needed a friend. I still see Bayley leaning more towards a Heel for how the voices are arguing. Either way, this exploring of what it is for a pro-wrestler to have both these Heel and Face sides and how switching so drastically affects mental health, I really appreciate it.

My Score: 8.8/10

MJF arrives backstage.

Renee Paquette is there to bring up tonight’s main event is Darby Allin VS Konosuke Takeshita for the AEW World Championship. If Darby Allin wins, MJF will then have to sign a contract for Title VS Hair at Double or Nothing. Darby has made it clear that if MJF doesn’t sign said contract, Darby will never allow MJF to face him for the title again. We all know how important the title is for MJF, but is MJF willing to put his hair on the line for it? MJF just chuckles and moves on, but he notices the very bald Rick Knox, Bryce Remsburg, and the head of security, David Aponte. And then various bald members of the production staff…

And then even Christopher Daniels & Sonjay Dutt are there! Daniels and Sonjay chuckle before moving on, and then MJF sees John Silver flexing. Brandon Culter, some arena staff, and even Tommaso Ciampa, all bald. Then last but certainly not least, Ricochet! He tells MJF that don’t worry, he’ll look great. Just not as good as Ricochet. AHA~! MJF storms off, will he have no choice but to choose between gold belt and chrome dome?

10 Man Tag: Orange Cassidy, Adam Copeland, Christian Cage & The Young Bucks VS Tommaso Ciampa, David Finlay, Clark Connors & FTR w/ Stokely Hathaway!

While we know the AEW World Tag Team Championship match will be a conglomeration of I Quit Match and New York Street Fight, THE Conglomeration will be waiting on the other side for their own tag title match. And let’s not forget that Matt & Nick Jackson want their own shot at those titles again. With that, can Freshly Squeezed work together with C&C and The Bucks? Or will the Psycho Killer, the Dogs, and the Top Guys all stand tall on the road to Double or Nothing?

The teams sort out and the teams just brawl it out! The fans cheer as The Bucks have The Dogs, Cope is after Ciampa, Christian is after Cash, and Dax brawls with Cassidy! The Polar Express is getting going, and Finlay joins the ride! DOUBLE NORTHERN LIGHTS!

The fans are electric and it’s not just the volt green! Time for a SUPERKICK PARTAY~! Wait, Stokely grabs a foot each! The fans boo, the ref reprimands, but Stoke can’t even trip The Bucks up. The Bucks drag Stoke in! Stoke pleads for mercy, but FTR runs up! The Bucks dodge, mule kick, then SUPERKICK for Dax! SUPERKICK for Cash! DOUBLE SUPERKICKS on The Dogs! Then FTR is sent into The Dogs before DOUBLE SUPERKICKS! Ciampa runs up to waistlock but Nick switches. Ciampa BOOTS Matt away, ELBOWS Nick, but Matt dodges, PSYCHO KNEE into Cash! DOUBLE SUPERKICKS for Ciampa!

The fans fire up again, and The Bucks see C&C. They point to Christian, and the fans cheer! Christian steps in, the ref reprimands but Cope argues with the ref. This distraction lets Christian LOW BLOW Cash! DOUBLE SUPERKICKS for Cash! Christian covers, TWO! Cash survives, the fans boo, but Christian rains down fists while Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Christian puts Cash in the corner to CHPO, CHOP, and then rain down fists! Christian goes past TEN, maybe to fifteen, then stops. Cash sputters, Stoke talks trash, but Christian grabs Stoke! Cash CLUBS Christian, Ciampa HOTSHOTS the bad arm, and Ciampa hurries to tag in. Ciampa drags Christian around, SLAMS the bad arm off the mat, then SLAMS the arm again! Ciampa POSTS Christian, and Christian falls to the apron. The ref keeps his eyes on the rest of the team so they stay back. Ciampa goes out, and he SWINGS the bad arm into the post! Christian scrambles away, clutching the arm, but Ciampa taunts Cope with a wave.

Ciampa tags Connors, Connors tags Finlay, and The Dogs stomp away on Christian. Finlay clamps onto the bad hand, bends the fingers, then JAMS them into the mat! Winners: Orange Cassidy, Adam Copeland, Christian Cage & The Young Bucks, by pinfall

Another star-studded 10 Man Tag, and it was a huge win for all the hungry contenders. Christian doesn’t wanna celebrate, but he does signal that he and Cope will be champions. Will putting their tag team legacy on the line be enough to take the gold? Or will Double or Nothing be the last night that team reeks of awesomeness?

Will Ospreay continues to train with The Death Riders.

They’re outside this time, Claudio Castagnoli playing some wall ball with Marina Shafir and Pac. Daniel Garcia says, “Tonight is the night that we’ve all been waiting for: The Aerial Assassin, Will Ospreay, is cleared and back on Dynamite. And rumor has it, the kid’s been working real hard and he’s got some new tricks up his sleeves. So Young Boy Billy, tonight you gotta show me something, c’mon.” Garcia gets a quick turn in on wall ball while cameras move over. Ospreay is maintaining a neck bridge while Jon Moxley uses Wheeler Yuta as a living dummy to show just how to push and pull and bend and twist on the various chinlocks and headlocks.

Use the right arm to push against the head, then snake in the left arm for the sleeper. Pry and shoot. Moxley asks how Ospreay feels. Ospreay lets off the bridge and says honestly, the best he’s felt in forever. Moxley asks if Ospreay remembers the night he won the Best of the Super Juniors. Yeah, 2019. AKA a lifetime ago. Ospreay was carefree, flew like a bird, for no other reason than that’s just what birds do. So simple back then, chasing that feeling, like no other feeling in the world. Can’t really grab it in your hands for more than a few seconds. The joy of doing it. Then everybody comes in and tries to make it so overcomplicated.

Years pass, life happens, a family starts, responsibilities show up, bad things happen, bad choices catch up to you, and it’s all weight on your shoulders. You feel like you can’t fly. But Moxley will tell you something: Nothing is different. Nothing has changed. All those things are still gonna be there, but you can still fly. You’re just more dangerous now. You’re a bird of prey. So tonight, when you got out there, don’t go out there to protect anything. Not your neck, your image, your reputation, or what you’ve built in your career. Go out there to give something. Moxley checks on Yuta and says dammit, if you’re gonna snap a headlock, snap the headlock!

Moxley storms off to instruct his pupil, but will Ospreay use everything he has been taught to great effect? Or will he have to fold against Ace Austin?

Chris Jericho speaks.

“You wanna face Jericho in a match of my own design, Ricochet? A spectacle so innovative, so imaginative, it cannot be contained, it can only be witnessed. Well, be careful what you demand, because you’ve made a few enemies yourself, Ricochet. And now a match designed specifically to settle scores without any, and I mean AAANY~, limitations has gotten even bigger.” Chris Jericho & The Hurt Syndicate were just looking for two more, but “Jungle” Jack Perry said he can bring four: himself, The Young Bucks, and KENNY OMEGA! Jericho tells Ricochet that this is no longer what he designed, but it is a devil’s dance of destruction! Ricochet’s destruction!

Ricochet got what he wanted, now can he handle it? Bald. The first-ever SEVEN VS SEVEN Stadium Stampede, who will even survive?

Ricochet & The Demand respond.

They stand with Mark Davis of the Don Callis Family and Ricochet says we all know Jericho does a lot of talking out of his ass while The Demand gets things done. Just like Davis did when he defeated Jack for the AEW National Championship at Fairway to Hell. Hold it with pride, Davis, Ricochet knows you’ll do it well. Davis says he’s got this. Ricochet says Davis has joined the dream team, but he’s not the only one. Because compliments to Ricochet’s golfing buddy, Don Callis, look who else he’s sending: Andrade El Idolo! Gracias, amigo. But it doesn’t stop there, the train keeps rolling. Ricochet was just approached by two guys who have an ax to grind with the superkick sidekicks.

These two wanna fill out the last two spots, so who is Ricochet to say no to The Dogs? Finlay & Connors storm in, and Finlay says to put it simple, they will fight The Bucks in the streets, in the ring, but guess it’s fighting at Double or Nothing! If they want violence, if they want carnage, if they want chaos, who better than The Dogs?! The Dogs bark and Liona roars, but will these seven stand tall in the Big Apple?

“Speedball” Mike Bailey w/ Kevin Knight VS BK Westbrook!

JetSpeed has a lot of momentum on their side, and as stated last week at Fairway to Hell, they’re looking to grab up all the gold they can. Will Speedball keep on rolling towards his own golden opportunity? Or will #Supastud prove his own worth?

Kendal Grey talks with Wren Sinclair backstage.

The Ice Woman isn’t sure why Kelani Jordan went and hurt Wren so badly, but Kendal’s gonna get her back for Wren. Wren says this will also help Kendal get one step closer to THE NXT Women’s Champion. Kendal adds that Wren will be there by her side when she does. Wren thanks Kendal for that, but feels she shouldn’t be out there ringside. Why? Because she doesn’t want to end up a distraction, the #WrenQCC can’t end up like #ZaRuca. Kendal says they won’t, Wren isn’t a distraction. Wren’s why Kendal got here in the first place. Pinkie promise! Lola Vice steps in and says hola to WrenQCC. They say hola, Lola.

Lola heard what Kendal said last week, and thinking about a rematch of the two best crossover athletes in the Women’s Division today, that’s an idea she can get behind. Kendal agrees, and says she can finally show Lola that pure wrestling is better than MMA. After all, their finish at MSG was a bit… open ended. Lola reminds Kendal that she still tapped out. Yes, but Lola was pinned! Wren has them calm down, and wants Kendal to focus on Lani. Right, right. And after Kendal beats the woman who tapped Lola out, Kendal will be seeing Lola for that title. Then bring it, mama. Lola will be watching.

The WrenQCC heads out, but will the former Evolve Women’s Champion make herself the #1 contender? Or will the Standout stand tall in tonight’s main event?

Sean says DVD is a beast, he knows he’ll be back stronger than ever. DVD shakes Sean’s hand, and tells them to go kick Birthright’s asses. She’s had a great time on the show. But seeing someone start from the ground up, where they know nothing but then they grow, get reps, get confidence- Wait, Jaida Parker steps in and says they need to talk. Nattie says not while she’s in the middle of something. Miss Parker says she don’t care if it’s her damn birthday, they need to talk. Nattie is calling Jaida soft, right here in her home of NXT, but it is Jaida’s time.

Nattie says she’s trying to film something for a show about rookies. Maybe Jaida should go down to LFG to talk to her. The argument gets tense, security and production step in, and Jaida says that’s fine. She just wanted to talk. Nattie is saying someone is having a bad hair day. Nattie says let’s just start from scratch. Miss Parker don’t play, but will the Queen of Harts make her regret getting on her bad side?

The Cowboy got wild, but maybe too wild, as he could’ve given them a shot at finishing this off. But will this be a lesson learned for Tate before he thinks to get wilder?

Tatum and Lizzy regroup backstage.

Tatum says she had so much fun out there! Lizzy says she’s still buzzing! Tatum was thinking that she wants to get back to the kind of champion she was trying to be before the whole Culling thing. She wants to give opportunities to those who are deserving, so… Tatum wants to face the Maiden of Metal next week! Lizzy is so stunned, so honored, but then Shiloh Hill literally jumps in. He asks what’s going on, and says congrats on the tag win. And also, he was doing research on Tristan Angels. Lizzy says ugh, she cannot escape that guy! Oh, she knows him from back home, huh? Yeah, as much as she had to…

Then she must know that Tristan’s family owns more sheep per acre than any farm in the whole UK! C’mon, haven’t they ever heard of pigs? Tatum adds they could have chickens. Them, too! But surely, Lizzy also knows about Tristan’s male beauty pageant thing, right? Yes, it’s all he talks about! He’s Mr. England~! As if anyone would ever really call him that. Tatum wonders who would be Mr. NXT if they had one. Shiloh says it’d be… HIM! Hah! But then Tristan steps in and says, “Are you out of your mind? Mr. NXT? You are literally missing a tooth.” Shiloh says sure, but some say his smile lights up a room. Tatum agrees with that.

Tristan says perhaps Mommy Tatum says that, but to think you can outclass Tristan is utterly absurd. Back to reality, he makes his NXT in-ring debut, and he’ll show the entire WWE Universe, and especially Shiloh, that Tristan is in a class of his own. Tristan then says hey to Lizzy before moving on. Will Mr. England make himself “Mr. NXT” with a win? Or will he learn that #ToothlessAggression is more than just a pretty face?

The Culling meets.

Izzi Dame tells Niko Vance that their Mixed Tag win was everything they needed, and she wouldn’t have wanted anyone else in there but him. Niko says Izzi pinned the Women’s Champion, which sets her up pretty nicely for a title match. She says all in due time. Shawn Spears says Niko was an animal in the ring, and that is what he has been talking about: The Culling is stronger together. Niko says ever since Izzi joined, she gave them a clear and concise path. They eliminate the weak and promote the strong. While everyone else is figuring out their next move, Izzi always knew what steps to take. The scheming, the strategizing. No one has that attention to detail but her.

Izzi says nothing happens by chance. They’re always two steps ahead. Spears smiles and nods as he and Niko are about to head out, but Izzi has Niko hang back. Spears is curious but says he’ll leave them to it. Izzi says about tonight… If Lola is watching the main event, then Izzi is watching Lola. Niko nods, and it seems the queen of The Culling is already planning her next move. When and where will she strike? And will she put Lola Vice in checkmate?

Robert Stone is in the ring.

The NXT General Manager says the landscape of NXT has changed. but no matter how chaotic it gets here, he is proud to say that talent from all over the world still want to make NXT their home! The fans cheer that, and Stone says we’re gonna bring someone out to sign with NXT! Let’s make this official! Please welcome Mason Rook! The fans cheer as the big man from Progress and Pro-Wrestling Noah makes his entrance. There’s extra security, too, because of how Rook already made an impact by going after Tony D’Angelo. The fans sing, “He’s Big! He’s Bad! He’ll Body Slam Your Dad!” Rook takes the mic from Stone to ask, “Who is Mason Rook?”

Rook has traveled all over Europe, to Japan, and all around the world. And everywhere he goes, he turns heads. Even the greatest of all time, JOHN CENA, sees Rook! It’s pretty hard to not notice a flying human tank. And he knows what they’re thinking: “Mason, are you satisfied?” Is he satisfied with everyone back home talking about him int he pubs? Is he satisfied with going viral multiple times being the name in everyone’s mouth? Mason Rook in every sentence. Let him tell ya, no he’s not! He wants MORE! That’s why he’s arrived in NXT. Because he is not just the best superheavyweight, he is the best ANY weight!

And it doesn’t matter who steps in this ring, they’re gonna find out that if you try and stop a tank, you get crushed! But wait, here comes Tony D! Stone asks Tony slow his roll, but Tony says relax, he just wants to talk. Now, Mason, look, you wanted to get the attention of the WWE Universe, you wanted Tony’s attention… Well, you got it. And what better way than to start at the top? That’s a page right outta Tony’s book. Attacking once, that’s fine, that’s seizing the moment. Twice? Nah. And if Rook thinks he’s making a name for himself at Tony’s expense, he doesn’t care if you’re big and- KAM HENDRIX RUNS UP ON TONY!

Tony ROCKS Kam first, security hurries to stop the brawl, but then wait! Rook is up top!! SUPER HEAVYWEIGHT MOONSAULT!! The tank crushed everyone, just like he said! Rook then storms into the ring, takes the contract from Stone, and Stone says that’s not how they do things here! Rook doesn’t care, he signs on the dotted line, and he’s officially an NXT Superstar! He’s big, he’s bad, but will he body slam Tony and take the title back to his pad? Or can Tony find a way to survive?

Noam Dar warms up.

Romeo Moreno is there watching something. Noam asks what it is, and Romeo asks if Noam remembers. NXT Battleground 2023, Dar VS Dragon Lee. So damn smooth! Romeo loved watching Noam! Him and Tyler Bate, Nathan Frazer, A-Kid, all while becoming a FOUR-TIME NXT Heritage Cup Champion! Plus, he dated Alicia Foooox~! Noam has Romeo calm down, and says it has been a full YEAR since he’s been in the ring. Noam isn’t sure if he’s that guy anymore. He just wants to focus on finding out. Romeo says Noam’s got it! Vamos! Si se puedes! Noam nods and heads out. Can the Scottish Supernova still turn it up to 11?

Emily Agard is on the scene.

For her second assignment ever, she is with OTM, Bronco Nima & Lucien Price, as they have a poolside barbeque. The food is ready, grab ‘n’ go. She thanks them for this, and can’t wait to eat. She wants to know more about OTM, though. Well, hold on, there’s one more guest. Nima’s little brother, JJ. They shake hands, and Emily says the WWE Universe might know the origin story of OTM, growing up on the streets, playing football, but she wants to dive deeper. It’s not just a concept, Out The Mud is these two men. So Lucien, could you share something about Bronco Nima that might surprise people?

Price says well, his brother, he’s one of the toughest people he knows. Nima had to grow up and be a man at a young age, be a provider after he lost his mom, and he had to take care of JJ here. Not a lot of people make it through that. Nima used to keep that to himself, so thanks for the exposure. Their mom, she taught Bronco real early that manhood isn’t about age, but about responsibility. So when life got hard, he had no other option but to answer. His little brother, he ain’t never had to worry about anybody being by his side. That’s what Bronco had to deal with. That is where responsibility meets opportunity.

Emily says she had no idea, and thanks them for sharing that with her. She asks JJ what OTM means to him. JJ says OTM is the embodiment of overcoming adversity that builds your character. Emily says Bronco raised JJ well, and Bronco jokingly says he isn’t paying JJ to say that. So they spilled the tea on Bronco, time to spill some beans on Price. Bronco says this man right here, the first things you see: the size; the violence; the intensity. People choose not to see his mind. Price is quiet, studies everything, and the moment he opens his mouth, everybody listens. That’s what makes Price dangerous.

And something Price probably doesn’t want you to know is that he’s an artist. Don’t be mad, Price! He’s a good one, too! Price says yeah, okay. Emily says they balance each other out very well, and they both say, “Yeah, yeah!” They dap it up and Emily says clearly the goal is the NXT Tag Team Championships. Nima says hell yeah. And to make their loved ones proud. JJ says that’s right. And after they beat Vanity Project, Emily can come back around with some championship questions. Emily says she will. JJ says maybe bring snacks, too. She can do that. Now, let’s eat up! OTM is hungry for hot dogs and gold, will they soon be enjoying both poolside?

Noam Dar VS Jackson Drake w/ The Vanity Project!

The Scottish Supernova is finally back in action, but he hopes he’s still got the stuff that made him that four-time Heritage Cup Champion. Will Noam find it’s as easy as riding a bike? Or will the Carolina Reaper take advantage of all that ring rust?

The bell rings and the two circle. They feel things out, Dar blocks a kick to kick back! Then he blocks another kick to trip Drake, cover, ONE! Dar wrenches, Drake puts Dar on ropes, but the ref counts. Drake lets off, but Dar ducks a shot! Dar eggs Drake on, then dodge shim to wrench and headlock. Drake fires body shots, powers up and out, but Dar RUNS Darke over! Dar taunts Drake before he runs the ropes. Drake drops down, hurdles, but Dar turns it into a FLAPJACK! ANKLE LOCK! Drake flails, rolls, but Dar rolls through! Dar comes back, Drake slips around to waistlock, but Dar arm-drags free.

Drake runs up, ducks a kick, but not the BACKHAND nor the ELBOW! Cover, TWO! Drake sputters but Dar is right on him. Drake powers Dar to the ropes, backs off, but then sucker punches Dar! The fans boo as Drake HAMMERS away on Dar at the ropes! The ref backs Drake off, but then Dar DUMPS him out! Drake blocks a shot, Dar ducks one, and Dar sweeps the legs! Dar runs to BOOT Drake down! The fans fire up as Dar says pinkies up, and NXT goes to break.

NXT returns as Dar is up top, only for Drake to trip him up! The fans boo as Drake climbs up to SUPERPLEX! Vanity Project cheers as Drake crawls to the cover, TWO! The fans rally for Dar, but Drake handsprings, LETHAL IN-JACKSON! Cover, TWO!! Dar survives and shocks Drake! The fans rally for Dar but Vanity Project coaches Drake. Drake rains down fists but Dar pushes him away. Dar ROCKS Drake, Drake ROCKS Dar, but Dar shakes his head. Drake pie faces Dar, Dar pushes Drake, but Drake fires fast hands! Dar bobs ‘n’ waves, STEP PUNCH! Dar goes to ropes, Drake runs up, but Dar dodges to SNAP GERMAN!

The fans fire up with Dar as he rises again! Dar runs up on Drake to CLOBBER him! And CLOBBER him again! And ROUNDHOUSE! Dar fires up and GERMAN SUPLEXES again! Drake stumbles to a corner but Dar runs in, JUMP ELBOW! NORTHERN LIGHTS! The fans fire up again while Dar takes aim! Drake slowly rises up, Dar runs in, but Drake ducks the feint elbow! ENZIGIRI! Drake fireman’s carries Dar for a GUT BUSTER DROP! Cover, TWO! Dar survives and Drake argues with the ref! The ref defends the count and the fans rally up again. Drake snarls, but he drags Dar up. Dar pushes Drake away but Drake comes back.

Drake goes to gut wrench but Dar flips to victory roll! TWO, Drake has it now, TWO as Dar then steps into the EURO CLUTCH! TWO!!! Drake escapes by nanoseconds and both men hurry to their feet! Kick meets kick, both men hobble, but Dar KICKS again! And GERMAN DROP into the ARMBAR!! The fans fire up but Drake stacks Dar, TWO! Dar lets go, but Drake ROUNDHOUSES! Dar ROCKS Drake! Drake and Dar go forearm for forearm, then Dar gets the edge! Dar KICKS, KICKS, and- NO, Drake kicks the bad leg! Then SUPERKICKS! The fans boo as Drake handsprings, but Dar PENALTY KICKS him out of it!

The fans fire up again as Drake flops to the apron, then the floor. Dar goes out after Drake, “This is Awesome!” as Dar stalks #DrThirst. But then Mighty Myka Lockwood steps in the way! The fans boo but then here comes Swipe Right! Dar DECKS Brad, then swipes left on Smokes to send him into Drake! The fans cheer as Dar puts Drake in the ring. Drake distracts the ref so Myka can anchor Dar! Then UNALIVING KNEE in the ropes!! Drake puts Dar in a drop zone, goes up the corner, 450 SPLASH!! Cover, Drake wins!

Winner: Jackson Drake, by pinfall

The asterisk on this is the same as always for Jackson Drake: his wingmen and bae do the hard work for him! The entire Vanity Project gets a win over Dar, but will this lead the power couple of Drake & Myka to- WAIT! DARKSTATE IS HERE! And when DarkState strikes, ain’t NOBODY safe! NXT is going to break, will the Vanity Project still be standing when we come back?

Myles Borne talks with Tavion Heights.

Tavion finishes checking his phone while Myles apologizes for his meeting with Robert Stone going long. There’s something about a tag match against Kam Hendrix and Mason Rook. Tavion says aight! Now they can finish what Kam started and get payback on Mason! The dynamic duo’s back together! Tavion goes for the high-five, but Myles apologizes again, because it’s not Myles & Heights. What? He just said it was a tag match. Yes, for Myles… and Tony D. Oh, wow. Tony, huh? Is this for real? Myles says he tried to vouch for Tavion, and Tavion brings up that Tavion just took Tony to the limit last week. Now it doesn’t even matter?

Myles says it isn’t like that, Tavion. Tavion says no, this must be one of those champion things, right? It was cool when Myles tagged with Tavion because he had to, but now that he has gold, he thinks he’s better than Tavion. Myles asks why Tavion’s acting like Myles calls the shots. Tavion asks why Myles couldn’t have said something. Myles says he DID say, but Tavion continues to accuse Myles of abandoning his “day ones.” Tavion “wishes” Myles good luck, and “hopes” Tony is there for him like Tavion was. Tavion storms off, but does he just need to cool off? And as for the champions, Myles & Tony, will they be able to thwart off two hungry challengers in that tag match?

DarkState takes the ring.

Vanity Project has sheepishly retreated for now, and the fans cheer “DAAARK~ STAAATE~!” Dion Lennox has a mic to tell Brad & Ricky that they’re way too comfortable walking around with those titles like DarkState ain’t here. The title run is over, DarkState is here to collect, and they’re gonna show NXT who is in control! The fans cheer, and Shugars says he is with that! That’s the name of the game: control! But unfortunately for the “inbetweeners” over here, DarkState ain’t got no control over Big Cut and Osiris Griffin, bruh! Now, do you see what they did to Hank ‘n’ Tank? We about to see a crime on live television!

And if you think y’all ain’t gonna go the same way, then they’re trippin’ in big shoes, bruh. Brad mocks the “Bruh…! Bruh…!” Smokes pretends to be shocked as he asks, “W-W-W-What?! You goofballs think that beating the guys who call themselves ‘The Belly Boys’ warrants you for a tag title match? HUH!? Brad, talk to these guys, I can’t even look at ’em.” Brad tells Smokes, “Literally no shot, okay? Hey, I don’t know if you boys remember clearly or not, but uh, we’re the ones that took these NXT Tag titles right from you.” DarkState is annoyed as Brad says yeah, they’re also the reason why Saquon and Dion have been at each other’s throats the past few weeks!

Oh, oh, but DarkState is pressing Swipe Right? You ain’t got anything better to do? Maybe they don’t understand, but Vanity Project doesn’t give handouts. Cutler says they ain’t looking for one, but they never got their rematch for the titles. Now, they’re cashing in! The fans like the sound of that! And before Swipe Right goes crying to “Big Momma Lockwood,” just know that Mr. Stone already approved the match. Next week, DarkState brings those titles home! But it won’t be Cutler & Osiris. Oh? Because as Dion & Saquon both know, DarkState’s gotta get back on top. But this right here, this isn’t working. They gotta be united.

Last week, Cutler & Osiris handled Hank ‘n’ Tank. But Swipe Right is on them. They’ve got this. They can’t control this brand if they don’t stand united. When they’re all on the same page, ain’t nobody can touch them! Y’all know this! So Saquon & Dion need to figure out this thing, or… DarkState will have to change. The fans chant “Hug It Out!” but then Swipe Right rushes in! Dion & Saquon get Osiris & Cutler clear so they can throw hands first! The fans cheer as Dion TOSSES Smokes and Saquon DUMPS Brad! Drake runs up, Dion gets Saquon outta the way to DECK Drake first! Myka carries Drake away in her arms, but will DarkState leave with gold around their waists?

Robert Stone talks with Naraku backstage.

The GM congratulates the King of Darkness on his first win here, and just wants to say, when they have some time, they can talk about his future. Naraku shakes Stone’s hand rather menacingly as he says thank you. Naraku lets out quite an evil laugh, then he lets go of Stone. Stone is rather shaken up as he goes to his office, where Kam and Mason are already waiting. Kam asks what this is about the tag match, Tony & Myles VS Kam & Mason. They’re not a tag team. Stone says he’s not happy with how things went earlier, that’s not how they do business here. Kam says he can’t speak for both of them, and Mason says, “Then don’t.”

Mason says sometimes, you gotta make noise to stand out. Stone says they’ll be making plenty of noise, alright. Next week’s tag match is still happening. Kam and Rook still aren’t pleased, but could this be a golden opportunity for the both of them? Tate then steps in and asks to talk. Stone says okay, and Tate thanks Stone for the match tonight. What a rush! Tate feels great, even though he lost. But hey, live and learn. That said, he’s ready to go again! Next week, no rest, just action. He doesn’t wanna cool down? No! Keanu Carver steps in and complains about Stone making him talk to people. And then he asks what Tate is looking at.

Keanu says he’s done telling Stone that he’s not talking to people for interviews. Stone understands, but last week’s interview went really well. And y’know what? If Tate wants a match, then how about Tate VS Keanu? Tate is hesitant, but then convinces himself. He’s down for anything. See you next week, big man. Say less. But does Tate have a death wish? Stone thinks it’s possible. Will the Cowboy manage to wrangle that first W here on NXT? Or is Keanu just going to carve him up?

Backstage interview with Kali Armstrong.

Blake Howard is with the Pride of Inglewood, and congratulates her on the big win over Jaida Parker last week. He’s seen her dominance on Evolve firsthand, but is she willing to share her plans for NXT? Kali says she wants to keep the momentum going, but she’s also scoping the scene before he makes her next move. Tatum Paxley and Lola Vice both have chicks lining up to fight ’em, then there’s Kendal and Kelani about to go at it to get that much closer to the NXT Women’s Championship. And Lola ain’t the only one watching tonight. Yeah, Kali’s comin’ for it all! She’s about to run through this locker room, just like Evolve.

But then Kendal walks over with a bit of a sarcastic clap. She points out that Kali didn’t run over everyone… Kendal leaves, simply reminding Kali who took that Evolve title off her. But will NXT soon enter the Grey Area?

Kelani Jordan VS Kendal Grey w/ Wren Sinclair!

The former NXT Women’s North American Champion and the former WWE Evolve Women’s Champion both want to be the next NXT Women’s Champion, and this match could go a long way to naming one as a contender. Will the Standout stand tall at the gates of Vice City? Or will the Ice Woman remind us why she’s the Women’s Iron Survivor?

The bell rings, the two tie up, and they go around already. They end up on the ropes, the ref counts, and Lani lets off. Lani shoves, Kendal shoves back, then Kendal TACKLES Lani! Kendal headlocks, Lani fights around to a cover, ONE! Kendal holds on but Lani powers up, out, and pulls hair to reel Kendal in! Lani back suplexes, but Kendal lands out and pulls Lani’s hair! Kendal reels Lani in for a big mat return SLAM! The fans rally as Kendal moves, ARMBAR, but Lani has the ROPEBREAK! Kendal lets go, but stays close as Lani gets up. Lani goes for a leg but Kendal spins that around into a backslide! TWO, and Lani KNEES low!

Lani CLUBS Kendal, stomps her in a corner, then CHOPS! Kendal is stinging as she goes to another corner, but Lani storms up and CHOPS again! We get picture in picture of Lola indeed watching, and Kendal dodges a chop to CHOP back! Kendal CHOPS again, whips Lani to ropes but Lani reverses. Lani does the splits but Kendal leaps over. Things speed up again as Kendal sidesteps then blows past Lani. Kendal counters hip toss with hip toss, but Lani handsprings through to DROPKICK back! The fans fire up as Lani stomps away in the corner. Lani stands Kendal up just to stomp again, then she goes corner to corner, only for Kendal to ELBOW her away!

Kendal goes up, over, out, then under! Kendal runs and redirects Lani to then sweep the legs, only for Lani to handspring through! Lani wags her finger, but Kendal blocks the kick! Kendal THROWS Lani down, DROPKICKS, and kips up! The fans cheer as Kendal shows she can move. Lani goes to the apron, but she avoids the shoulder to BOOT Kendal! Lani reels Kendal in, but Kendal fights the lift! Kendal DUMPS Lani back into the ring, then DROPKICKS a leg! Kendal trips Lani up to then slingshot STOMP! Cover, TWO! Lani survives but Kendal waistlocks. Lani goes to ropes, Kendal O’Conner Rolls, TWO! Lani has the O’Conner, TWO!

Kendal has it again, TWO, but Kendal rebounds to rolling jackknife, and ANKLE LOCK! Lani rolls to fling Kendal out! The fans rally as Lani aims, ASAI MOONSAULT! Down goes Kendal, Lani shouts no one does it like her! Then she mocks Wren’s bad leg while she drags Kendal up. Lani puts Kendal in the ring, but Kendal tiger feint KICKS Lani down! The fans fire up as Kendal then goes up a corner! Lani stands up, into Kendal’s SUPER CROSSBODY! The fans fire up for Kendal again as she daps it up with Wren, and NXT goes picture in picture.

Kendal goes to Lani, drags her up, and puts her in the ring. Kendal hurries up to the apron, RAMS Lani, but then Lani SWEEPS the legs! Kendal falls to apron then floor, and Lani goes out to whip her hard into the apron! Lani RAMS Kendal, RAMS her again, then THROWS her into steel steps! Lani talks trash while Kendal writhes, then she talks trash on Wren, too. Lani drags Kendal up and into the ring, stalks her, then HIP DROPS her down. Lani soaks up heat, but Kendal fires body shots! Kendal rolls Lani up, TWO! Lani KNEES Kendal down! Then she KNEES Kendal in the side! Lani whips Kendal corner to corner, then scoops for a BACKBREAKER!

Kendal crawls to ropes but Lani stalks her. Lani CLUBS Kendal, CHOKES her on the ropes, but stops as the ref counts. Lani stalks Kendal to a corner and RAMS into her! And RAMS her again! And again! Lani stops as the ref counts again, and she stalks Kendal to another corner. Lani drags Kendal out too center for a suplex, but Kendal cradle counters! TWO, and Lani storms up, into a BODY SHOT! Kendal has Lani in a corner now for a stomp and a whip. Lani reverses and Kendal hits buckles hard! Lani hurries to cover, TWO! Lani snarls as she clamps onto Kendal with a chinlock, and she digs her knee into Kendal’s back.

Kendal endures the stretch, fights up to her feet, and JAWBREAKERS free! NXT returns to single picture as Lani stumbles. Lani returns, but Kendal ducks the roundhouse! Lani ducks the roundhouse in return, then they both ROCK each other with forearms! Then they both run up, DOUBLE FACEBUSTERS! The fans fire up again while Wren coaches Kendal. “This is Awesome!” as both women rise up. Lani runs up on Kendal but Kendal ELBOWS her away! Lani returns, but Kendal TOSSES her out! The fans are cheering for “Both These Women!” as Kendal eggs Lani on. Lani is back, Kendal ELBOWS her down! And ELBOWS her again!

Kendal dodges Lani this time, to OVERHEAD BELLY2BELLY! The fans fire up for Kendal, and the straps come down! Kendal roars, then she slips around to GERMAN SUPLEX Lani! And then another shoot in, EXPLODER! And another, EXPLODER! Kendal runs up and jumps up, but Lani catches her! Kendal fires fists and RANAS, then covers, TWO! Lani escapes in time but Wren coaches Kendal. Kendal drags Lani up, but Lani ELBOWS free of the German Suplex! Lani kicks low, CLUBS hard, then whips again. Kendal reverses, Lani goes up, around, and FLYING FOREARMS! Then Lani lifts Kendal, LIGER BOMB!! Cover, TWO!!

The fans fire up as Kendal survives, but Lani is beside herself! Lani hurries to drag Kendal to a drop zone, then she goes up the corner. ONE OF A KIND- NO, Kendal grabs a leg! ANKLE LOCK!! Lani clings to the ropes, does the splits even, and climbs up to SWING, but Kendal holds onto the ANKLE LOCK!! Lani hurries to reel Kendal in for a cradle, ONE, and ANKLE LOCK!! Kendal cranks the ankle, and she drags Lani to center! Lani flails, reaches out, claws at the mat, then rolls again! Kendal avoids hitting buckles, and Lani runs up. Kendal dodges, Lani hits buckle, ARMBAR TAKEDOWN!! Lani clasps hands and stacks Kendal, ONE!

Kendal holds on but Lani KNEES away on Kendal’s face! Kendal lets Lani go, Lani runs up, DOUBLE LARIATS collide! Both women rise as the fans fire up again. Lani KICKS, KICKS, and MULE KICKS! The fans cheer “Women’s Wrestling!” as Lani runs, but into a SNAP POWERSLAM! Cover, TWO!! Lani survives but Kendal stays focused. But then IZZI ATTACKS LOLA! Well, that should’ve been an obvious tactic, really, and now the brawl is on! Lola and Izzi fight around backstage while Kendal climbs a corner. Lani hurries up to GAMANGIRI! Then Lani climbs the corner. Kendal and Lani brawl, clinch, and SUPER SPANISH FLY!! Cover, TWO!!

Lani is stunned as Kendal survives again! Lani pushes past frustration to go up the corner, but Kendal CLUBS her! Lani falls onto the post, Kendal climbs up after her, but now Izzi and Lola are brawling onto the stage! Security and refs try to stop them, but the brawl BULLDOZES Wren!! Kendal THROWS Lani, but she spots the chaos happening just below her! And that lets Lani get up and KICK the legs out! Then ONE OF A KIND MOONSAULT!! Cover, LANI WINS!!

Winner: Kelani Jordan, by pinfall

Wren was right all along, she should’ve just stayed in the back. But now, the Standout and her bad attitude are free and clear to go after the gold! Speaking of, the champ comes back to check on poor Wren, and Kendal is upset with LOLA for bringing that brawl out here! Kendal shoves Lola, Lola gets heated, and IZZI BOOTS LOLA DOWN!! The It Girl takes advantage of opening after opening, but will that make her the next NXT Women’s Champion?

My Thoughts:

A great NXT as this newest chapter is coming into its own. Great opening tag match, and I could just tell Zaria was gonna do the tag ditch on Lyons. Good promo with Tatum, Lizzy, Shiloh and Tristan to have Lizzy help with establishing Tristan on NXT a bit before his match next week. There’s some irony to how Tristan’s gonna get to do more on NXT before he even gets going on Evolve, and that’s even with Tristan being in the #1 contender’s Fatal 4 Way on tomorrow’s episode. Tristan likely cheats to win against Shiloh, and they can make this a feud to go into the summer. I would think Tatum beats Lizzy in a strong, competitive match, and perhaps Zaria goes after Tatum afterwards.

Good promo from The Culling, though not entirely sure it was needed when duh, Izzi just cut to the chase and attacked Lola during the main event. Great main event match, and of course Lani takes advantage of distraction. While Lola VS Izzi is clearly happening first, Lani is certainly poised for her own title shot. Good interaction from Kendal and Kali, too, they might run it back from Evolve real quick while both women wait on their own opportunities. Very good bit with Natalya and Jaida to build their feud, and I wonder if they follow up with a kayfabe’d moment where Jaida does crash an LFG filming (I say that cuz I think most of the new season is taped already).

Very good debut match for Naraku going up against Lince, and I’m sure he’ll have a few more matches to build himself up while Mason Rook goes after Tony D and the title. I figured from the moment Myles was talking to Tavion that we were getting a champions VS (potential) challengers tag match. Tavion might snap and go Heel, costing Myles his part of the match. Mason Rook had a very good promo as he signed his NXT contract, and he’s gonna give Tony a great match, win, lose or draw.

Very good promo from Dar with Romeo, another guy who is already doing more on NXT than he has in Evolve. But I think that pep talk did kayfabe motivate Dar, he had a great match with Drake. Naturally, Vanity Project helped Drake win that, but you gotta appreciate Myka being positioned as the Chyna in this Gen Z version of Degeneration X or what have you. Great promo from DarkState to establish the tag title match, and I could also tell they were going to put Dion and Saquon forward. The dysfunction could be used to protect the team in the loss, or it could give DarkState a great “breakthrough” moment where they overcome that and win out.

Very good promo from the other Evolve graduates, great Six Man Tag, but I thought this was going to be a loss from Sean overstepping. He has been talking like he’s the veteran in NXT already, so I expected him to snipe a tag and take the win instead of letting Tate have his moment. Tate going all out and failing for it is a bit of a hard shift in his character given what we’ve seen on Evolve, but hey, Tate VS Keanu is going to be great stuff. Emily Agard continues to do great work already, this new on-location interview with OTM was great. The local fans already like OTM, but this could help OTM with the larger audience, and maybe they can finally get to the top of the tag division.

My Score: 8.8/10
