The TD Garden boos as the WWE United States Champion leads the way for JC Mateo, Tonga Loa & Talla Tonga as they all go to the ring. The fans boo more as Solo grabs the mic, and Solo tells “Boston…! The MFTs are in the building. And to remind everybody that we run SmackDown. And to anybody who doesn’t like it… Too bad!” The fans boo more, and even chant “SOLO SUCKS!” Solo says last week, Sami Zayn came out here, tried to show up on SmackDown, NUH-UH! MFT shows up on Raw and what happens? They stomped his ass out! So Sami Zayn… Stomped out! Jimmy Uso? Stomped out! And the Samoan Werewolf, Jacob Fatu? STOMPED OUT!

Solo says if there is anybody in the back who wants to come out here- Well, Sami Zayn comes on out! The fans cheer as Sami is back on SmackDown again, mic in hand, and he goes to the ring. The fans chant for Sami, and he says, “Take it down a notch, guys. I’m just here to talk, alright? Can we talk?” Solo says yeah, sure, come on in. The floor is all his. Sami says c’mon, do they wanna talk or not? Solo has MFT step out and Sami steps in. Sami says on Monday, we all heard Sami talk about it for weeks and months, that he wants to be world champion. If Sami had beaten Rusev, he could’ve been fighting for the World Heavyweight Championship at Clash In Paris.

But now, after what MFT did, who knows? When that all happened, Sami was furious. But then Sami felt something else, too. He felt… Liberated. Because Sami had been talking so much about becoming world champion, and it had to be now, now, now. Sami put so much pressure on himself, like it had to happen that it really stopped him from accomplishing anything else! He was spinning his wheels! But now that is away from him, Sami can do other things in the WWE. So Sami says this is him thanking Solo. The fans boo and Solo is a bit perplexed. Solo says you’re welcome, Sami!

Sami says yeah, that’s the thing! It made him realize there is so much more he hasn’t done! There are so many other things he wants to accomplish in his WWE career! Like, fun fact, outside of a world title, there is one other title Sami has not held in the WWE. The fans like where this is going. Sami says it is the United States Championship! Solo doesn’t like where this is going. He says Sami won’t hold it any time soon. So use those big ass eyes and look all you want! Sami doesn’t even go to SmackDown, he’s on Raw, he’ll never hold this title! So get the hell out of Solo’s ring, get off Solo’s show, Solo never wants to see Sami again, EVER!

The fans boo, but Solo taunts Sami more. Sami smirks and says that is what he also came out here to say. As of tonight, Sami is OFFICIALLY ON SMACKDOWN! The fans cheer that! Sami says that since Solo took something from him, Sami is gonna take something from Solo! Sami is coming for that US Championship, and for SOLO! Solo takes a swing, but Sami counter punches! MFT rushes back in, they beat Sami up, but the fans boo. Solo is mad, he throws hands down on Sami, and then the mugging continues! But Jimmy Uso is here! #BigJim ain’t so stomped out! And he slides in to fire hands on Loa & JC! The fans fire up but this is still 4v2 as Talla CLOBBERS Jimmy!

Solo taunts Jimmy, taunts Jimmy, but JACOB FATU is here! TD Garden is thunderous for the Samoan Werewolf! He runs up and he dodges Talla, to then TACKLE Solo! Jacob rains down fists on Solo! Talla drags Jacob off but Jimmy SUPERKICKS! Sami BOOTS! Then they DOUBLE SUPERKICK! Talla stays up so Sami and Jimmy look to each other. They both run, but Talla gets them both in choke grips! But Jacob SUPERKICKS! And then Jacob gives Sami & Jimmy a double whip to DOUBLE LARIAT Talla up and out! The fans fire up as MFT regroups and retreats, only for Nick Aldis to say this is no way to welcome the new member on the roster.

Aldis officially welcomes Sami, and says he will be in tonight’s main event! Six Man Tag, MFT VS Sami, Jimmy & Jacob! Boston fires up for that! Will the Honorary Uce, #BigJim and the Samoan Werewolf tear down Solo’s “family tree?” Or will Solo’s minions force everyone to acknowledge him?

Backstage interview with The Green Administration.

Byron Saxton is with Chelsea Green & the Secret Her-vice, and brings up that Piper Niven is taking on Alexa Bliss next. But in their own words, how did we get here? Chelsea scoffs at that question and says, “I think you know exactly how we got here, Byron. And you want me to say it, don’t you? You want me to say it out loud? You want me to spell it out for you, dummy? I bravely broke up a silly little birthday celebration, and then I bravely took a funfetti cake straight to the face! And I have been severely injured!” Piper adds that it was disgusting! No one, and Piper means no one, messes with “Our Canadian Hero” and gets away with it!

Alba Fyre says tonight, Piper takes out Alexa. Then the Secret Her-vice will “confiscate” the Women’s Tag Team Championships. And next time, bring proper credentials. They push Byron aside and head out, but will it be that easy to straighten out Twisted Bliss? Or will Alexa be able to trust her not-friend Charlotte to have her back again?

SmackDown returns as The Green Administration makes their entrance. The bell rings and Alexa holds up Lily. The fans cheer for Lily, and then Alexa sets Lily down. But Piper CLOBBERS Alexa! The fans boo but Piper stomps Alexa in the corner. Piper stands Alexa up but Alexa fires body shots and forearms! The fans rally but Piper throat chops! Alexa sputters, Piper says to check that doll. Chelsea walks over but Charlotte has her back off. Piper drags Alexa up, scoops her, but Alexa fights free. Alexa CLUBS Piper, fires forearms, but Piper shoves Alexa away. Alexa dodges, jumps on, and has a SLEEPER!

Piper endures and pries the hold open to THROW Alexa off! Piper frowns, storms up on Alexa, and SLAPS her! Piper pie faces Alexa to the ropes, then CHOKES her! Piper pulls on the pigtails, then brings Alexa around. Alexa fires hands, Piper whips, and Piper hits a BLACKHOLE SLAM! Piper salutes and soaks up heat while SmackDown goes picture in picture.

Piper tautns Charlotte, drags Alexa up, but CHarlotte leads the fans in cheering Alexa. Piper is annoyed, but Alexa fires body shtos! Alexa runs, but Piper scopos her! Piper pops Alexa around for the SHOULDER BUSTER! Cover, TWO! Alexa is still in this, but Piper kicks her around. Piper taunts Alexa, clamps on a neck wrench, and puts on the pressure. Alexa endures, fights up, and she fires haymakers! Piper wobbles, but she DECKS Alexa in return! Piper unbuttons the suit jacket, shimmies and shakes, and then Chelsea & Alba CHOKE Alexa at the ropes! Charlotte protests but this just keeps the ref from seeing what’s going on!

Piper throws the jacket down on Alexa, then drags Alexa to a corner. Piper smothers Alexa, and the ref is too busy with Charlotte to see it! Piper stops before she gets caught, then she whips Alexa into the corner. Piper runs in and SPLASHES! Alexa sputters, Piper smothers her more, but the ref sees that. Piper stops at 4, then struts around and dances just to taunt Alexa. Piper SLAPS Alexa down, then pushes her against the buckle. The ref counts, Piper stops, and Piper calls her shot. Piper pretends to be a bull as she runs up, but Alexa moves! The cannonball hits buckles and Piper writhes in pain! Chelsea fans off her #SlaygentP, and SmackDown returns to single picture.

Piper rises, runs up, but Alexa kicks a leg out! SLAP! FOREARM! KNEE! DROPKICK! Piper is down and Alexa runs, INSULT2INJURY! The fans fire up as Alexa somersault SENTONS again! And then BLOCKBUSTERS! Cover, TWO! Alexa is frustrated but the fans rally up again. Alexa brings Piper up but Piper wrenches and HEADBUTTTS! Alexa falls to a corner, Piper runs in, CANNONBALL! Direct hit this time! Piper steps on Alexa, goes up the corner, VADER BOMB FLOPS as Alexa dodges! DDT! Alexa hurries up the corner now and the fans fire up! Chelsea distracts, but Charlotte YANKS her down! The fans cheer, but Alba is up on the apron now!

Alexa hops down to SLAP Alba! Piper runs up, Alexa sends her into buckles! Roll up, ALEXA WINS!

But Alba SUPERKICKS her down! The fans boo but Charlotte storms in, shoes off! LARIAT for Alba! CHOP for Piper! And CHOP! And CHOP! But Chelsea runs up, so Charlotte CHOPS away on The Hot Mess! LARIAT! Charlotte turns around, Piper CLOBBERS her! And ELBOW DROPS! Charlotte sputters but Chelsea drags her out to POST her! Chelsea says that’s what Charlotte gets! Then she THROWS Charlotte into the timekeeper’s area! The Green Administration now focuses on Alexa! SPLASH from Piper, feed to Alba! GORY BOMB to VADER BOMB! Chelsea stands tall with the Secret Her-vice, will they actually accomplish the mission and take the titles?

Jade Cargill and Tiffany Stratton argue.

Aldis is right there as they go back and forth about how close Jade was to winning, or not winning. They wanna go again, but Aldis says alright, alright, calm down. Jade does want another shot, that’s understandable. And Tiffany wants to be a fighting champion, that’s also understandable. But there are a lot of official channels and other contenders, and- Nia Jax steps in. She mockingly asks if she’s interrupting something. But Nia doesn’t get why Jade is pleading for another title shot. Jade won Queen of the Ring, had her match, and failed. Unlike Nia. But Jade should fall back to let Nia handle “the fluke” of a reign Tiff is having.

Jade says she falls back for no one. Tiff says she’ll tell Nia the same thing she told Jade: The story may be different, but the outcome will always be the same. If Tiff has to prove it to them all, then just bring it! Tiff leaves, and Aldis has a lot to consider. Who gets their shot at the Wrestling Barbie?

Carmelo Hayes & The Miz VS Fraxiom!

#MeloDon’tMiz is back and looking to give it another go, but only because the Hollywood A-Lister pulled one over on H1M. But will tonight be AWES-HIM? Or will Nathan Frazer & Axiom ruin Melo’s homecoming?

SmackDown returns and Fraxiom makes their entrance. The teams sort out, Axiom and Melo start and the fans rally up. But then Miz tags himself in… They may have matching gear but it seems they aren’t on the same page. The fans rally for Melo, but then up in the crowd… Joe Gacy is there, wearing the Huskis the Pig Boy mask… Miz is a bit creeped out, given his run-in with the Wyatt Sicks almost a year ago. Miz still takes a swing on Axiom, but Axiom catches the arm and wrenches. Miz rolls, cartwheels and WRINGS the arm! Axiom rolls through and the two reset. But then Dexter Lumis is up in the stands, wearing his Mercy the Buzzard mask! Miz is extra creeped out now!

Miz calls for a Test of Strength, Axiom obliges and they knuckle lock. They go shoulder to shoulder, Miz bends Axiom back but Axiom powers back up! Axiom then jumps to MONKEY FLIP! Axiom rolls back, brings Miz up, but Miz MONKEY FLIPS! It is a double cover, TWO as they both bridge up! They stand, Miz kicks low, and Miz wrangles Axiom with a top wristlock. Axiom kips up, moves around, and headscissors! Miz kips free, Axiom dodges, then waistlocks. Frazer tags in before Miz bucks the O’Conner, and Axiom ROCKS Miz! Axiom wrenches, Frazer springboards to AX HANDLE!

Frazer headlocks, Miz powers up and out, but Frazer redirects! And redirects! And shoves! Miz grabs ropes, avoids the kick, and he tags out to Melo! The fans cheer and Melo says he’s got this. But Frazer arm-drags Melo around! Melo avoids the third arm-drag, but then not the fourth! Frazer has the armlock, Melo fights up, and Melo whips. Frazer goes up and over, handsprings away, but Melo blocks the kick! Melo spins Frazer but the DRAGON WHIP finds him! Tag to Axiom, they speed combo on Melo! DDT! Miz runs in, but he gets mule kick, front kick, and DROPKICK! Miz and Melo bail out, Axiom DIVES onto Miz! Frazer DIVES onto Melo!

Things keep going, Axiom DIVES onto Melo! Frazer DIVES onto Miz! The fans fire up and SmackDown goes to break.

SmackDown returns and Melo covers Axiom, TWO! Melo clamps onto Axiom with a chinlock and he grinds Axiom down. The fans rally, Axiom fights up, and Axiom fires body shots, Melo swings, Axiom dodges and waistlocks, but Melo bucks the O’Conner. Melo waits for Axiom to kip up before the SUPERKICK! Then Melo hits a TIGER- RANA! Axiom has the cover, TWO! Axiom crawls, Melo anchors a leg! Axiom fights up, but Melo ducks the enzigiri! TIGER DIRVER! Cover, TWO! Axiom survives, Melo is frustrated, and Melo swings on Frazer. Frazer dodges, Axiom ENZIGIRIS! Melo and Axiom are both down and teh fans rally up.

Melo and Axiom crawl, hot tag to Miz and Frazer! FLYING AX HANDLE from Frazer! Frazer CHOPS, whips, but Miz reverses. Frazer ducks ‘n’ dodges, even BLASTS Melo off the apron, then he CLOBBERS Miz! And SLINGBLADES! Frazer ROCKS Melo again then STANDING SHOOTING STAR on Miz! Cover, TWO! Miz survives but Frazer goes up top! PHOENIX- NO, Miz dodges, but Frazer comes back! Victory roll, TWO! Axiom climbs up to join them now, but Miz drags Axiom down! APRON DDT! Frazer is shocked, but he still has to focus on Melo! Melo and Frazer are way up top, Melo makes it a SUPER CUTTER!! The fans are thunderous and Melo aims from the corner again! Melo is up top, but Miz tags in!! SKULL CRUSHING FINALE! Cover, #MeloDon’tMiz wins!

Miss Management says that she noticed Jade and Nia trying to lock in another opportunity at Tiffany’s title. It won’t stop there. The longer Tiff is champion, the more her market value goes up, but.. So does the number of challengers. Kiana advises getting some backup. And there is no better security than Kiana and her client, Giulia. Then where is Gi- Oh, please! Giulia is way too big of a star to worry about dotting I’s and crossing T’s. Kiana offers protection, and upgrades. Picture this: Brand expansion! Tiffany Stratton with a custom pink belt around her waist. Titles should match the women holding them. Sound like a deal?

Kiana offers her card, Tiff says she’s kinda already the champ, so she doesn’t really need the backup. Thanks but no thanks. Kiana says that’s fine. Just know that if you’re not with them, then you’re against them. Kiana knows Tiff is undefeated, but that’s only because she’s never had to defeat someone like Giulia. And just because Giulia already has a title doesn’t mean she won’t take Tiff’s. Tiff brushes that off and leaves, but in steps Mia Yim. Michin thinks Kiana is getting ahead of herself. And if she’d actually answered any of Mia’s calls, Kiana would know Mia’s got next on Giulia. Yeah, well, that’s under advisement. Thanks.

Boston is a bit torn on seeing the Scottish Terminator after what he did to Cody Rhodes last week. Drew grabs the mic while the fans boo, and he says, “People have been asking me all week, ‘Why did you do what you did, Drew? Why did you Claymore Cody’s head right through that announce table?’ It was so violent, I think we need to see it again. Let’s see it again. Play the clip!” The fans boo again but the replay does indeed play, BOOM and Cody is through the front of the desk. The fans boo Drew more but Drew tells us to listen closely: Drew did NOT attack Cody Rhodes. What? We just saw the clip!

Drew says our eyes are lying to us, he will explain this to us. But then he asks Joe Tessitore what’s going on with Cody. It’s been a week, where is the medical update? There isn’t one? That’s so weird, because every other time, WWE always shares an update on someone. Is someone hiding it from us? Is it because Cody’s the golden boy? Or do they just not know how long he’s gonna be out for and it is all Drew’s fault? Drew says here’s the thing, people think Drew hates Cody but he doesn’t! Drew PITIES Cody! Cody cares about the fans cheering him so much, he needs that validation! Cody needs the pat on the back from the management.

The reason Drew knows all that was because Drew was that five years ago. Drew was in Cody’s position, and then Drew evolved. Drew realized that when a wrestler is gone, the fans move on and forget about them! Wrestlers have to get theirs while they can! And Drew wants that WWE Championship, the title he’s been screwed out of more times than he can count! Drew deserves it! Drew has EARNED it! The fans boo, but Drew says he wants it for him, for his family, and for the big paycheck. Cody NEEDS the WWE Championship. Who is Cody without his story? Who is Cody without that title? He’s nobody and he knows it, that is why Cody did what Cody did last week!

Time to bring it full circle, ladies and gentlemen! Drew did NOT attack Cody Rhodes. Cody attacked Drew! The fans boo but Drew says they must not remember. He will explain. The Attitude Adjustment happened right here, Cody broke up the pin, and he knocked Drew to the floor. Drew will go through the “crime scene” right now. Drew was right here on the floor when the disqualification happened. The match ended, Cody put Drew into the post, then Cody cleared the desk! Drew does it himself and mockingly asks Wade Barrett why Cody would do that. Did Cody wanna talk? Wanna offer him fine cuisine? NO, Cody was gonna put Drew through the table!

Drew paces and says he simply defended himself. Why would Cody wanna eliminate Drew? Maybe because Drew told Cody to defeat Cena so that Drew would be the one to take the title off Cody. Cody made the first move, but he is too good at pissing people off. And unfortunately for Cody, Drew is too good at taking people out! So Drew is NOT the bad guy here. But if you provoke him, he will do very, very bad things. If you provoke Drew, he will become the real nightmare! Drew mockingly wishes Cody, “Get well soon.” Drew then heads out, will there be nothing that stops him from terminating “Quarterback Cody?”

Byron Saxton is with Montez Ford, Angelo Dawkins & B-Fab to bring up the match with long-time rivals, DIY. If Profits win, do they feel that should place them in contention for another tag title match? Ford says yeah, but then MFT interrupts. Solo Sikoa mockingly says, “Championship match? Tag team titles? Why? For what? How many times are you gonna go after the tag team titles, man? Listen, I tell you what. After we get through with Jimmy, Sami and Jacob, if y’all want those tag team titles, y’all gonna have to run through us.” Ford chuckles and Dawkins says it doesn’t matter how much family Solo has, they still won’t stop the Profits from doing what they want.

Ford says, “Yeah, Solo Dolo. Talk about this DIY, MFT, NBC, EBT. It don’t matter what tag team it is, The Profits & B-Fab are STILL up, and we want…” Deep breath and… “The smoke.” Profits head out, Solo says don’t worry about that. Talla, you alright? Talla was looking at something in the back, but must’ve been his imagination. He says it’s fine, and MFT heads out. But then Erick Rowan in his Ramblin’ Rabbit mask steps out from behind a shelf! Are the Wyatts going to haunt ALL the tag teams on SmackDown?

#DIY w/ Candice LeRae VS The Street Profits w/ B-Fab!

SmackDown returns and DIY is already waiting in the ring while The Profits make their entrance. The teams sort out, Ford and Ciampa start. They tie up, Ford waistlocks, but Ciampa elbows free. Ciampa runs, Ford drops down then DROPKICKS! The fans cheer while Ciampa goes to the ropes. Ford storms up, whips Ciampa, but Ciampa reverses and BOOTS! Ciampa puts Ford in a corner, CHOPS him, then tags Gargano. Gargano sends Ciampa in for a forearm! Gargano DOUBLE KNEES! They sit Ford down for Ciampa to KNEE WASH! DIY thumbs up and then Gargano stomps a mudhole in! The ref counts, Gargano stops at 4, and Gargano soaks up heat.

Gargano drags Ford up, tags Ciampa, and Ciampa sends Gargano in only for Ford to dodge! Ford leaps over Ciampa, hot tag to Dawkins! Dawkins TOSSES Ciampa to a corner ot fire off fast hands! Dawkins ROCKS Ciampa, runs, then hurdles! UPPERCUT! Gargano runs up, but into a FLAPJACK! Dawkins runs to CYCLONE SPLASH! PELE! The fans fire up with Dawkins, “SI~!” Dawkins shouts out Rinaldo, then goes outside. Dawkins runs up, but Candice acts as a shield! Ciampa gets away, Dawkins pursues, but Ciampa KNEES him back down! Gargano tags in and he SUPERKICKS from the apron!

DIY have Candice join her as they all applaud and pat themselves on the backs! The fans boo but SmackDown goes picture in picture.

Gargano fetches Dawkins, puts him in the ring, and throws hands. Gargano stomps a mudhole, the ref counts, but Gargano digs his boots in. The ref reprimands, Gargano backs off, and then Gargano drags Dawkins up. Gargano fires hands, then tags Ciampa. DIY mugs Dawkins, Ciampa stomps a mudhole now, but again the ref counts. Ciampa digs his boots in, then stops to mock the Profits’ arm pumping. But Dawkins ROCKS Ciampa! And ROCKS him again! Ciampa KNEES low! Tag to Gargano and Ciampa bumps Dawkins off Gargano’s knees. Gargano soaks up heat, then taunts Dawkins. Dawkins rises but Gargano CLUBS him down.

Gargano mocks the arm pumping, then brings Dawkins around. Gargano RAMS Dawkins into the corner, DIY mugs him, but the ref reprimands. DIY stops, and Gargano puts Dawkins in a corner. Gargano CHOPS, and CHOPS, and CHOPS again! Gargano soaks up more heat, then runs corner to corner, only for Dawkins to put him on the apron! Gargano ROCKS Dawkins, ENZIGIRIS Ford, and mocks the arm pumping again. SmackDown returns to single picture, Gargano SLINGSHOTS into a SILENCER! Both men are down and the fans rally up! Both men crawl, hot tags to Ciampa and Ford! Ford GAMANGIRIS Ciampa!

Ford goes up and CROSSBODIES! Ford BLASTS Gargano, then he LARIATS Ciampa! Ford LARIATS again, then ducks ‘n’ dodges, runs and LARIATS again! Ford fires up, but Gargano rolls Ford up! Ford avoids the schoolboy kick to FAMOUSER! Then he dodges Ciampa, ZIGZAG! The fans fire up as Ford kips up, Ford does the arm pump himself, then STANDING MOONSAULTS! Cover, TWO! Ciampa is still in this but Ford drags him up. Ciampa grabs ropes, Ford CLUBS him, and Ford tags Dawkins. Ciampa back suplexes Ford, Ford lands out, but Ciampa ROCKS Dawkins! Ciampa ROCKS Ford! But POUNCE BACK SUPLEX COMBO! Cover, Gargano breaks it!

But since Aldis isn’t busy- Uh, sorry, Miz, but Aldis was busy. MCMG is right here. In fact, isn’t Miz busy manipulating Melo here? Is Melo H1M or H1S? Miz says Melo cannot manipulated with Miz watching his back. And wow, MCMG, Motor City Machine Guns? More like squirt guns! All noise, no impact.

Wow, nice use of “impact” there. But big words coming from two guys who wrestled like a team that just met in catering. MCMG has been doing this for two DECADES. They’re the kings of this. Miz & Melo ain’t anywhere close to their level. Miz points out he is a TEN-TIME Tag Team Champion! Aldis has everyone settle down. There is a simple solution. Miz agrees, tag title match for him and Melo. No, stop. It’s MCMG VS Melo Don’t Miz next week on SmackDown. Time to put your money where your mouth is. Miz says this is exactly what they wanted. What? No, it’s what Miz wanted! MCMG is fine with it either way.

But will MCMG get it through that Melo and Miz don’t mix? Or can Miz get Melo to come around and see things his way?

Backstage interview with R-Truth.

Byron Saxton is now with the reset Ron Killings, and Truth says, “What’s up, B-Sax?” Byron says we saw Truth’s reaction, but we gotta have a follow-up. How does Truth feel about John Cena’s recent and rather literal attitude adjustment? Truth says he feels good! But hey, we all got our childhood hero, John Cena back! But then in steps Aleister Black. And he says, “Imagine being this excited for your other friend, Damian Priest. I guess with friends like you, who needs enemies, huh, Truth?” Truth asks how Aleister gonna tell Truth who he is. Aleister says there he is! So, Mr. Killings, see you next week.

Aleister leaves, and Truth flips the hat around like a switch. Is Ron Killings going to be the one that shows the Dark Father the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth?

Sami Zayn, Jimmy Uso & Jacob Fatu regroup backstage.

Sami says this feels like old times. When was the last time he and Jimmy teamed up? Jimmy admits, it’s been a hot minute. Sami wants to let Jimmy know that this means a lot, and same goes for Jacob. Sami appreciates Jacob having his back out there. Jacob says he didn’t do that for Sami, that was for Jimmy. Jacob doesn’t know sami like that. Alright, fair, Sami doesn’t really know Jacob either. But Jimmy is Sami’s brother, too, so if Jacob’s cool with Jimmy then Sami’s cool with Jacob. So, are they cool? Jacob tells Jimmy to make sure Sami stays outta Jacob’s way. YADADA MEAN!?

Jacob heads out first, and Sami asks what that means. Jimmy says skip that for now. If Sami and Jimmy are fine, and if Jacob and Jimmy are cool, will this Six Man Tag still work out? Or will MFT prove they run things on Friday nights?

SmackDown returns and Sami makes his entrance first, followed by #BigJim, leaving the Samoan Werewolf for last. With Talla Tonga as the cornerman, the teams sort out. JC Mateo starts against Jimmy, and the two tie up. JC powers Jimmy to a corner, the ref counts, but JC BODY BLOWS! JC CLUBS Jimmy, then HEADBUTTS! JC whips Jimmy corner to corner, but Jimmy goes up and over. Jimmy mule kicks, UPPERCUTS, then kicks, but JC blocks! JC spins Jimmy but the DRAGON WHIP hits! The fans fire up and Jimmy wrenches JC to tag Sami. Sami goes up and he AX HANDLES! Sami wrenches, wrenches, but JC RAMS Sami into the corner!

Tag to Loa and MFT mugs Sami. Loa fires fast hands, the fans boo, and the ref backs Loa off. But that lets Solo CHOKE Sami! The fans boo, Jimmy protests, but Solo gets away with all that. Loa drags Sami up and he TOSSES Sami out. Loa argues with the ref, but that’s all so Talla can BOOT Sami down! The fans boo but Talla gets away with it, and SmackDown goes to break.

SmackDown returns again and Solo CLUBS Sami down. Solo drags Sami around, rains down fists, and talks trash on Sami being too stupid to stay on Raw. But Sami fires hands from below! The fans fire up but Solo HAMMERS and DRIBBLES Sami off the mat! Solo paces around, drags Sami up, and he tags JC in. DOUBLE HEADBUTTS! Sami goes to a corner, JC whips corner to corner, and JC runs in, but Sami dodges the elbow! Both men are down and crawl for the corners! Hot tag to Solo and he BLASTS Jimmy! Solo taunts Jacob, then drags Sami away. Solo puts Sami in a corner, CHOPS him, then brings Sami around.

Solo hoists Sami up, talks more trash, but the ref reprimands as Solo pulls on Sami’s beard. Sami fires hands! The fans fire up and Sami rains down fury! Then Sami TORNADO DDTS! Both men are down and the fans rally up again! Sami and Solo crawl, hot tags to Loa and Fatu! The fans fire up as the Werewolf rallies on the Silverback! LARIAT after LARIAT, then UPPERCUT and whip! Loa KICKS Fatu, Fatu just geeks up! Fatu LARIATS! And SENTONS! Fatu aims, runs corner to corner, SPLASH! Fatu then climbs up, and he rains down HEADBUTTS! The fans count, and Fatu goes to TEN! Fatu then runs corner to corner to HIP ATTACK!

The fans fire up with Fatu, he dodges JC and LARIATS JC up and out! Jimmy then builds speed, Fatu holds the ropes down, Jimmy FLIES! Big Jim takes down the Imperial Unit! Loa runs up on Fatu! Fatu dodges, then POP-UP SAMOAN DROPS! Cover, TWO! Loa survives, he isn’t a former IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Champion for nothing. But then Fatu goes to the corner and the fans cheer him on. Fatu is up top, but Solo grabs at him! Fatu kicks Solo away, then SWANTON BOMBS, but onto knees! Loa hurries and he hot tags Solo! Solo hurries to go up top now, and DIVING BODY PRESS! Cover, TWO!! Fatu survives and Solo is furious!

The fans rally but Solo hurries to get Fatu back up. Solo CLUBS Fatu, throws forearms, then clinches. Fatu breaks free to SUPERKICK! Solo SUPERKICKS back! Fatu rebounds, DOUBLE LARIATS collide! Both men are down and the fans fire up! Sami reaches out, Fatu crawls, but Fatu hesitates! Sami says just trust him! Fatu hot tags Sami! BLUE THUNDER for Solo! Cover, JC breaks it! JC HAMMERS away on Sami, the ref reprimands, but Jimmy is in! SUPERKICK! Loa CLOBBERS Jimmy! Fatu SUPERKICKS Loa! Fatu SUPERKICKS Talla off the apron! Then Fatu DIVES to send Talla over the desk! The fans go nuts, but Solo is back!

Solo spins Sami around, but Sami BOOTS the spike! Sami then clinches, CORNER EXPLODER! Sami is all fired up, as is Boston! HELLUVA KICK!! Cover, Team Sami wins!

Winner: Sami Zayn, Jimmy Uso & Jacob Fatu, by pinfall

Jimmy celebrates with Sami as Sami pins the United States Champion! Fatu steps back in, and he shows Sami respect with a handshake and even a hug! The fans cheer that, will Fatu & Jimmy have Sami’s back when it comes to taking that title off Solo?

My Thoughts:

A great SmackDown, and great stuff with Sami moving to SmackDown. Just as I said on Raw, if LA Knight was officially on Raw, there had to make a “trade,” so Sami was clearly the choice with this MFT story. Great promo to open, Jimmy and Jacob were of course going to back Sami up, and we got a great Six Man Tag main event. I was a little surprised Talla was the corner man, and then I surely thought Loa would take the loss. But great stuff with Sami getting the win off Solo to further set the title match up. Not sure Sami beats Solo for the title, but it would be great if Sami did. Because then, whenever Sami finally gets a world title, he could become a Grand Slam Champion.

Very good promo from Drew to put last week into his perspective, and it is an interesting story beat to not share Cody’s “medical update.” Granted, the word on the streets is Cody is doing Street Fighter filming, but this is probably to also skip Clash in Paris since we’re already getting the World Heavyweight Championship Fatal 4 Way AND the John Cena VS Logan Paul match, those would perhaps overshadow Drew VS Cody. Good little promo from Tiff, Jade and Nia, and a good promo from Tiff and Kiana, and with Mia jumping in. Sounds like they’re teasing something big for the WWE Women’s Championship, and I would think we get Giulia VS Mia before Giulia has any kind of match with Tiff.

Good promo from Chelsea & The Secret Her-vice, very good match of Alexa VS Piper, and they also did the right move balancing things out. Alexa wins but Green Administration beats Alexa and Charlotte down, thereby implying we get a title match because Alexa & Charlotte will want payback. Great stuff with the various tag teams of SmackDown. Miz sniping the win from Melo was fitting, and good promo with MCMG to set up another match. DIY VS Profits was a great match, and Profits winning out makes sense, too. The Wyatts watching Miz & Melo, then watching MFT, that teases some fresh tag title match-ups going into September.

And while R-Truth had a quick promo with Aleister Black, it feels like a surprisingly important promo. It showed that R-Truth isn’t outright ditching “Ron Killings” just because Cena stopped being Heel. I’m feeling, or perhaps hoping, that this will be a bit more like a the Faces of Foley or even a Bray Wyatt/Fiend thing. Truth will be funny when wants to, and he’ll be mean when he has to, and that makes for some great dynamics for feuds like with Aleister.
