New Jersey cheers as their platinum record rapper struts her stuff in a flowing black feather robe and corset. She goes to the ring, and is helped inside by some attendants. Cardi grabs the mic to ask, “What’s good, WWE Universe? We are coming to you live from the Tristate~! WOO~! And I gotta be real with y’all, I’m excited! Who’s ready for SummerSlam? We are making history tonight, because tonight is the first time, TWO-DAY SUMMERSLAM! YEAH! Do we have any Logan Paul fans?” Nope! “How about Drew? Randy Orton?” The fans cheer Orton, Cardi says she loves her some Orton. People will be talking about this forever! Welcome to SummerSlam!

The pyro goes off and the fans fire up! Will we all be as fired up as Cardi as things kick off? Because right now, Jey Uso is going through the concourse full of excited fans! Jey asks they please, please hit his music! Uh uh, YEET! The fans fire up as this is now YEET Life Stadium!

Roman Reigns & Jey Uso VS Bron Breakker & Bronson Reed w/ Paul Heyman!

Just when you thought the Bloodline Saga was over, Seth Rollins’ faction has forced The OTC and Main Event Jey Uso back together. They say there’s nothing stronger than family, but will that still be true against the Unpredictable Badass & Colossal Aussie? Or will Bron spear harder and Bronson splash bigger than anyone?

Jey waits in the ring, and the fans already chant for “O T C! O T C!” And indeed, The Original Tribal Chief, the Only Tribal Chief, THE Roman Reigns makes his entrance, ula fala around his neck. Roman gets his pyro, then he joins Jey in the ring. But then the barking begins as the sirens go off, and now Bron & Bronson make their way out. Bornson is still wearing the “shoe-la fala” that is Roman’s stolen sneakers while The Oracle still holds onto Seth Rollins’ Money in the Bank briefcase. The shoe-la fala is placed on Heyman while Bron & Bronson go into the ring. The teams stare down, the bell rings, and the hands fly!

The fans fire up as Roman brawls with Bronson, Jey brawls with Bron! Jey UPPERCUTS Bron outta the ring! Roman rains down fists on Bronson, and he goes to TEN! Jey RAMS Bron into a corner, Roman UPPERCUTS Bronson out of the ring. Bron & Bronson regroup, but Jey says hold on, let’s run it back. The fans cheer, Roman says sure, why not. We get the ENCORE YEET! But then Bron & Bronson drag Roman out to mug him! The fans boo, but Jey SUPER CROSSBODIES from the corner! The fans fire up as all four men are down! Jey manages to get up and bring Bron into the ring. But Bronson sends Roman into steel steps!

Bron swings, Jey counter punches! “YEET! YEET! YEET!” Jey pops ‘n’ locks and YEET! But Bron gets going, he builds up speed, and he CLOBBERS Jey! The fans bark and Bron snarls as he stalks Jey. Bron drags Jey up, RAMS him into the corner again and again, then tags Bronson. Bronson LARIATS in the corner, lets Jey flop to the mat, then he mocks the YEET. The fans boo but Bronson kneels on Jey. Bron runs to FLYING SHOULDER TACKLE Roman down! Roman still can’t make it back to his corner! The fans boo as Bronson raises his one. Bronson CLUBS Jey down, then SENTONS! Bronson dusts his hands off like this is too easy.

Bronson drags Jey over, tags Bron in, and they mug Jey. Bron paces around Jey, the fans chant “We Want Roman!” Jey ROCKS Bron! And ROCKS him again! “YEET!” Jey runs, but Bron catches him for a WORLD’S STRONGEST SLAM! Cover, TWO, but Bron does pushups just to show of. Bron flexes, Heyman smiles, but the fans boo. Bron throws hands down on Jey but the fans rally for Jey & Roman. Bron talks trash on Jey, saying he’s just a pile o’ crap! Bron taunts Roman, the ref keeps Roman back, and Bron goes back to Jey. Bron drags Jey up, puts him in the corner, and he tags Bronson. The mugging continues with the BODY BLOW!

Bronson grins at Roman, stands Jey up, and he whips Jey to ropes for a KNEE! Jey sputters as he drops to his knees, but Bronson drags Jey up. Bronson whips and KNEES Jey again! Bronson mocks the fans cheering for Roman, then holds Jey up to taunt Roman. But Jey fires haymakers! “YEET! YEET!” But Bronson won’t let Jey reach Roman! Bronson whips Jey hard into the corner! Tag to Bron and Heyman continues to enjoy this. Bron scoops Jey, RIB BREAKER! Then he hops onto Bronson’s back for the SUPER SIZED SPLASH! Bron mocks Jey’s pain, drags him around, and says they’re gonna sing a song!

Bron clamps on with a chinlock as he mocks the “Roman, Roman Reigns~!” The fans rally up for Roman, Jey fights up, and Jey fires body shots! Jey ROCKS Bron, “YEET!” But then Bron catches Jey’s leap! Bron fireman’s carries to then GUT BUSTER DROP! Cover, TWO! Heyman coaches Bron to stay focused, but the fans rally up again. Bron sees Jey go to the desk, he lines up a shot from the apron, and as Jey stands up, FLYING BULLDOG MISSES! Jey dodges and Bron crashes into the Spanish announce desk! Bron anchors Jey, Bronson YANKS Roman down! Bronson sends Roman into barriers! Bron drags Jey to the other corner! Bron stomps away on Jey while the fans boo. Tag to Bronson and Bronson looms over Jey. Bronson mocks the chants and says Bron & Bronson run this now! Bronson flexes, then he stands Jey up. Bronson grins as he fireman’s carries, but Jey fires elbows! The fans fire up as Jey fights free! Jey then dodges a lariat to float and DDT! Both men are down and the fans fire up again! Roman rises, he seethes, and Bron looks worried! Jey and Bronson crawl, hot tags to Bron and Roman!

The fans erupt as Roman rallies on Bron with LARIAT after LARIAT! Roman whips, Bron reverses, but Roman LEAPING LARIATS! The fans fire up again as Bron goes to a corner. Roman runs in, and he LARIATS! Roman fires LARIAT after LARIAT, and goes all the way to TEN! Roman runs, but Bron ELBOWS him! Bron runs, btu Roman catches him! Bron fights with elbows, but Roman LARIATS Bron up and out! The fans fire up as Roman sees Bron on the floor. Roman builds speed, and he FLIES! Down goes Bron & Bronson at the ramp! The fans are thunderously losing their minds as Roman could’ve easily taken out three or four men!

Roman has Bron in the ring, and he URENAGES! The fans fire up and Roman goes to a corner. Roman locks ‘n’ loads, but Bronson is up! SUPERMAN PUNCH for Bronson! Bron rolls Roman up, TWO! Bron JUMP KNEES Roman down! Bron huffs ‘n’ puffs and brings the straps down! The fans bark as Bron builds speed, and Bronson sneaks a tag. Roman SUPERMAN PUNCHES Bron! Bronson CLOBBERS Roman! Bronson mocks Roman again while the fans boo. Roman stands in a corner, Bronson runs in and SPLASHES! Bronson fireman’s carries but Jey makes the tag! Mule kick! UPPERCUT!

Bronson blocks a superkick but not the DRAGON WHIP! Back body block and PELE in the corner! Jey keeps moving, but Bronson CLBOBERS him! Bronson drags Jey up, fireman’s carries, DEATH VALLEY DRIVER! Bronson says do ’em just like Monday! Bron goes out and he sees Roman & Jey by the barriers. Bron runs in from around the way, but a SUPERMAN PUNCH hits first! The fans lose their minds, Bronson is also shocked, but then he goes after Jey! “This is Awesome!” as Bronson shoves Jey into the ring. Bronson says it is time! Bronson calls his shot, climbs up the corner, but SUPERMAN PUNCH!! Roman returns outta nowhere! Roman helps Jey to his feet, they call their shot, and they double whip Bronson for a ONE AND DONE!! Cover, BRON BREAKS IT! The fans fire up as this one continues! The fans sing for “Roman, Roman Reigns~!” but Bron is up first. Bron talks trash on the fans for cheering Roman but the fans boo. As Michael Cole himself asks on commentary, are either of these teams really friends? The Prodigy may or may not be trying to steal Dominik Mysterio from Liv Morgan, but she definitely stepped in to be a champion when Liv went down with injury. Meanwhile, The Queen had to be convinced that teaming with Lil’ Miss Bliss and becoming a champion is better than doing nothing. But the chemistry is slowly developing on both sides, who will have the bigger reaction with gold as the catalyst?

The introductions are made, the belts are raised, and we see which team holds together!

The teams sort out and Roxie starts against Lexi. Well, until Charltote insists she start. But that just lets Roxie & Raquel CLBOBER them! Everyone deals with temptation, even the best of us. But it seems the more the Underdog from the Underground resists, the more Mr. Doomsday believes there is a dark truth behind that kind smile and ginger smile. The gentlemen’s agreement has been made, the loser must admit they are wrong. But then, will it be Sami’s truth or Kross’ that prevails?

The bell rings and the two circle. The fans rally and the two tie up. Sami RAMS Kross into a corner, RAMS him again and again, but stops as the ref counts. The fans fire up again and Sami gets Kross up, BLUE- NO, Kross fights free, wrenches, DOOMSDAY SAIDO! Cover, TWO!!! Sami barely gets his arm up, and now Kross is mad. Kross looks to Scarlett, she fetches the steel pipe! The fans are torn as Scarlett sneaks that in the ring. Kross has it, Scarlett distracts the ref, but Sami dodges the pipe! BLUE THUNDER!! Cover, TWO!! Kross survives and Scarlett hurries to hide the evidence.

Sami storms up on Kross, and he rains down fists! Sami throws heat and perhaps this is the anger inside Kross can sense. Kross eggs Sami on, so Sami goes after him with stomps! The ref counts, has to back Sami off this time, but Sami wants more! Sami stomps away on Kross, the ref backs Sami off and warns Sami this time. Sami huffs ‘n’ puffs, and Scarlett puts the pipe at his feet?! Scarlett says do it! If Sami wants to get past Kross, he can do it! Sami looks at the pipe and the fans are torn. Will Sami give into the dark side? Sami looks at Kross, looks at the pipe, and he SLAMS the pipe down! But Kross rolls Sami up! TWO!!

Kross and Sami hurry to their feet, Sami clinches for a CORNER EXPLODER! Sami goes corner to corner, the fans fire up, HELLUVA KICK!! Kross falls, Sami covers, Sami wins!

The fans rally as Tiff survives Jade’s take on the Tower Hacker, and Jade is frustrated. Jade runs up on Tiff in the corner, and ELBOWS Tiff! Jade goes again but Tiff BOOTS her! Tiff avoids the boot, fireman’s carries, and she manages the ROLLING SENTON! Tiff goes up, up, but Jade SHOVES her down! The fans duel harder as Jade ROCKS Tiff! Jade brings Tiff up to suplex! Roll through and Jade drags Tiff back up! But Tiff suplexes, FALCON ARROW! Both women are down and the fans fire up! Jade and Tiff stir as the fans rally, and Tiff is up first. Tiff fires a forearm, Jade fires back! They go back and forth, the fans torn down the middle!

Tiff CHOPS, Jade clamps on with a choke grip! POP-UP- NO, Tiff RANAS Jade away! Tiff runs, handsprings, and BACK ELBOWS! Tiff keeps moving, cartwheel and Alabama Lift, for the ALABAMA SLAM! Tiff goes to the corner, PRETTIEST MOONSAULT EVER into BOOTS! The fans fire up as Jade hurries to chicken wing! JADED!! Cover, ROPEBREAK!! Jade miscalculated and cannot believe it! Jade argues the count but Tiff survives all the same. Jade drags Tiff up to try again, TIGER SUPLEX! Bridging cover, TWO! Jade grabs Tiff again to SLAM DUNK CHOKE SLAM! Tiff staggers around, Jade brings her to a corner.

Jade goes up, drags Tiff up to join her, and then chicken wings again!? The fans fire up already as they go up higher! SUPER- VICTORY ROLL!! Jade flounders, Tiff goes up, PRETTIEST MOONSAULT EVER!! Cover, TIFF WINS!

Randy Orton & Jelly Roll VS Drew McIntyre & Logan Paul!

The Viper was surprisingly showing his softer side by welcoming a fan of the WWE, someone who Orton himself is a fan of, to the WWE. But it was the Scottish Terminator & The Maverick who decided to bully Jelly Roll and act like he’s some kind of “outsider.” The hypocrisy from Logan is palpable except to his dense self, but will #RKRoll drive it home that there are no such things as outsiders? Or will #Mavericktyre be the strongest gatekeepers the world has ever seen?

As Jelly makes his entrance, he has the mic to ask New Jersey how’re they doing! The fans cheer, and Jelly says let’s pledge allegiance to The Viper, Randy Orton! Jelly leads the crowd in singing Voices, and then the music hits! #RKRoll heads to the ring together, and they even do the pose together! The teams sort out and Logan cheap shots Jelly! Randy runs up but Logan gets away! The fans boo but Logan taunts Randy. Randy checks on Jelly, Jelly says he’s good, but Randy still starts for his team. Logan starts, the bell rings, but then Jelly tags in! Jelly wants after Logan and the fans fire up! Randy understands, so he lets Jelly go for it.

The fans rally behind Jelly as he and Logan stare down. Logan still doesn’t take this seriously, but he and Jelly tie up. Logan kicks low, CLUBS Jelly down, then taunts him. Logan soaks up heat, stands Jelly up to talk trash, then Logan whips. Jelly blocks! The fans cheer on Jelly and he whips to ELBOW! And SHOUDLER TACKLE! The fans fire up but Logan kicks Jelly low. Logan goes to scoop, but it seems 299 pounds is his limit! Jelly smiles, scoops, and he SLAMS Logan! The fans fire up and Jelly struts his way into an ELBOW DROP! Cover, TWO! The fans fire up and Logan scrambles away in shock.

Logan looks to Drew, and Drew holds out his hand. Logan grins and he tags in Drew. Jelly sees the giant muscular Scotsman stepping in, the fans cheer him on, but Randy calls to him. Jelly points to Randy, the fans cheer, and Drew says go ahead, tag out. But then Drew SLAPS Jelly! Jelly’s mad again, and again Randy understands. Randy says get his ass! Jelly fires up, he steps to Drew, but then realizes Drew really is that tall. Drew grabs Jelly by his beard! Drew says this is the day the music dies! Jelly SLAPS Drew! The fans fire up, Drew swings, but Jelly dodges! Jelly JABS, JABS, and JABS! But the GLASGOW KISS takes him down!

Jelly sputters, Drew puts him on the ropes, and Drew CHOKES Jelly! The ref counts, Drew stops at 4, taunts Randy, and then Drew goes back to Jelly. Drew CHOPS Jelly, CHOPS again, then stands DECKS him! Jelly sputters, Drew clamps onto an arm and mockingly holds the arm out to Randy! Drew says he hears voices, and they all say Jelly’s screwed! Drew stomps Jelly, then points to Logan. Drew drags Jelly over, Logan tags in, and they DOUBLE SUPLEX! Jelly sputters again but Logan looms over him. Logan pushes Jelly down, then rains down fists! The fans boo and tell Logan off, but he just soaks it up.

Logan soaks up the heat while doing a Hogan pose. Logan runs for the LEG DROP! Cover, TWO! Logan grins as he paces around Jelly. Logan taunts Randy, then goes back to Jelly, and he RAMS Jelly into the corner. Logan pushes Jelly around, fires body shots, but the ref counts. Jelly tries to get away, but Logan keeps him cornered. Logan climbs up, grins, and he makes a rather indecent gesture before he hops down. Logan CHOPS Jelly, then tags Drew. Drew CHOPS Jelly, then brings Jelly around. Drew CLUBS away on Jelly, then taunts Randy. The fans rally for Randy but Drew SUCKER PUNCHES him!

The fans boo but Drew soaks up that heat, while also mocking Randy’s pose. Drew runs at Jelly, but Jelly TOSSES Drew out! Jelly is down but the fans fire up! Randy rises, Logan panics, and Jelly crawls for his corner! The fans rally and Jelly hot tags Randy! Randy LARIATS Drew, BLASTS Logan, then LARIATS Drew again! Randy dodges Drew to SNAP POWERSLAM! The fans fire up with Randy and he has Drew in the ropes! DRAPING DDT! The fans fire up again, and Randy indeed hears those Voices! Randy waits on Drew, but Logan drags Drew out to safety. The fans boo but Randy pursues! Randy kicks Logan and THROWS him into barriers!

Randy BODY BLOWS Drew and gives him a DESK BACK SUPLEX! Then Logan gets up, for a DESK BACK SUPLEX! CLAYMORE!! Drew takes Orton down outta nowhere! Jelly hurries over to help Randy, but Logan CLOBBERS Jelly from behind! The fans boo as Logan winds up that loaded right hand. ONE LUCKY RIGHT!! Jelly goes down in a heap and Logan taunts him by saying night-night. Logan then clears the English announce desk! Drew goes into the ring, and he says scouts honor as he goes back out. The ref reprimands but there’s nothing he can do as Drew drags Jelly up off the floor.

Drew puts Jelly on the desk, Logan climbs up, and he toasts himself with Prime! VLOG SPLASH!! Logan and Jelly destroy the table! The fans lose their minds, and even Drew is loving this one! Jelly Roll’s wife, Bunnie, is very concerned, and now refs and medical hurry out here. Logan sits up and is very pleased with himself. Meanwhile, Drew puts Orton in and has him in a corner. The fans are rowdy as they insult Logan, but Drew enjoys it all. Drew digs his boots into Randy at the corner but stops at the ref’s count. Logan is back and he tags in. Medical helps Jelly get to his feet while Logan & Drew stomp away on Randy.

The fans boo Logan but he keeps stomping Randy. Tag to Drew and Drew digs his boot in. Logan taunts Jelly as he’s helped around the way. Jelly looks to his wife, seeing the concern in her eyes. Drew sets Randy up for Logan to BLOCKBUSTER! Cover, TWO!! Randy survives, but Logan laughs at the pain on Jelly’s face. Logan tags Drew, Drew goes to a corner, and he goes up top?! But Randy fires hands on Drew! The fans rally as Randy climbs up! Randy brings Drew to the very top, SUPERPLEX! Both men are down but Logan taunts Randy with how he has no one! Wait, Jelly looks back to the ring! The fans cheer Jelly on, but can he do it?!

Jelly says he can! Jelly is going back to the corner! Jelly hobbles up the steel steps, and he is at the corner! Hot tags to Logan and Jelly!! Jelly LARIATS Logan! And LARIATS! And choke grips! Jelly’s passion is powering him up, for the CHOKE SLAM!!But Drew runs in! Jelly sidesteps and #BLACKROLL!! Jelly throws off his elbow pads and his hat! The fans fire up as The Son of a Sinner is aimed right at Logan! Jelly runs in, but Logan ELBOWS him! Logan leaps, but into a SNAP POWERSLAM?!? Cover, DREW BREAKS IT! CLAYMORE!! Drew roars, but Randy is back! RKO!! But then Logan POSTS Randy!

Logan hurries to a corner and climbs up! Jelly is still down, so Logan hits the #PaulFromGrace Frog Splash! Cover, Logan & Drew win!

Der Ring General kept this strictly professional by saying The Best in the World is NOT CM Punk! Gunther has been a champion for well over 80% of his time in the WWE! Punk’s counter is that it isn’t length of reign but depth of the talent you defeat, and Punk has sunk some battleships in his time. But then, is this the time CM Punk returns to prominence? Or will there be a NEW Best in the World when Gunther stays World Heavyweight Champion?

The bell rings and the fans fire up already as Punk and Gunther stare down. Punk and Gunther circle, feel things out, and the two tie up. They’re in a deadlock, but Gunther’s height gives him leverage. Gunther puts Punk in a corner, but Punk turns things around. The ref counts, the two hand-fight, and Punk backs off. Gunther fixes his hair before he and Punk reset. They tie up, Gunther wrenches an arm, then Gunther wristlocks. Punk goes to the ropes, the ref calls the break, but Gunther swings! Punk avoids the chop and wags his finger while the fans applaud. Punk and Gunther reset again as the fans rally up.

Punk and Gunther feel out another grapple, Gunther headlocks for a takeover. Punk headscissors, Gunther kips up, and Gunther goes for the arm. Punk wrenches to hammerlock, but Gunther reaches back to snapmare. Gunther has the chinlock but Punk slips right out to have an armlock. Gunther stands, Punk wrenches, and Punk wristlocks. Punk YANKS the arm, UPPERCUTS, then hammerlocks. Gunther reaches back again, they go to a corner, and the ref counts. Punk lets go, but he blocks the chop! The fans rally as Gunther backs away. Punk and Gunther reset, knuckle lock, and they go shoulder to shoulder.

The fans rally as Gunther has the edge in this Test of Strength. Punk fights up but Gunther pushes him. Punk bridges, Gunther jumps on, cover, ONE!! Gunther stomps Punk around, then he drags Punk up to UPPERCUT! Punk goes to a corner, Gunther UPPERCUTS, and UPPERCUTS again! Gunther whips corner to corner, runs in, but Punk BOOTS him! Punk wrenches the arm and has Gunther on his knees! Punk HIP DROPS the arm! Punk wrenches again, then KICKS! KICKS! And KICKS! Punk wrenches, mule kicks, then steps over to mule kick again! The fans applaud, but then Gunther CHOPS Punk down!

The fans fire up while Punk grits his teeth. Gunther stands Punk up but Punk wrenches the arm again. Punk KICKS, KICKS, and KICKS, then arm-drags Gunther down! Punk twists the wrist and bends the arm against his knee. Gunther fights up, the fans rally, but Punk snapmares again. Punk pushes Gunther down to stand on the arm! The fans cheer as Punk toys with Gunther, then drops KNEES on the arm! Gunther clutches his elbow, but Punk is after him again. Punk wrenches, Gunther tries for a sleeper! They go to the ropes, Gunther CLUBS Punk, CLUBS him again, then has him in the corner.

Gunther storms up but Punk blocks a chop! Punk CHOPS in return! And CHOPS again! And again! Punk whips, Gunther reverses, but Punk BOOTS him away! Punk goes up, up, but Gunther CHOPS the legs out! Then he CHOPS Punk on the back! Gunther puts Punk in the Tree of Woe, and he CHOPS away on Punk’s legs and chest! The fans rally as Punk tries to sit up. Gunther KICKS Punk, then pries Punk free of the Tree, just to stomp him down! The fans rally for Punk, but Gunther drags Punk back up. Gunther taunts Punk, then slaps him around. Gunther stands Punk up but Punk fires haymakers! Gunther CHOPS Punk off his feet! Gunther clamps onto Punk with an armlock and chinlock, but then shifts to focus on the chinlock. The fans rally as Punk fights up, but Gunther CLUBS him on the back. Punk staggers and Gunther CHOPS him off his feet! Gunther scoops and SLAMS Punk back down! The fans boo but Gunther just revels in it. Gunther goes back to Punk, looms over him, then KNEES Punk in the side! And KNEES him again! Gunther drags Punk up for a COBRA TWIST! Punk endures, even as Gunther CLUBS him in the side!

The fans rally as Gunther thrashes Punk in the hold! Punk claws at the grip, reaches for the ropes, but Gunther digs his knuckles into Punk’s ribs! The fans rally more and Punk slips around to put the Cobra Twist on Gunther! Gunther switches, they dosido, and Punk fireman’s carries! Gunther slips free, SLEEPER! Punk drops down, victory roll, TWO! Gunther BOOTS Punk down! The fans rally while Punk shakes out the stars. Gunther shakes out his arms and catches his breath before going back for Punk. Gunther soaks up more heat, then he kicks Punk! And kicks Punk! The fans boo more but Gunther CHOPS Punk!

Punk rises, but Gunther CHOPS him again! And again! Punk CHOPS, Gunther CHOPS, repeat! The fans fire up as Punk gets the edge! Punk whips, Gunther reverses, and Gunther hurdles to then BOOT Punk again! Punk staggers around, Gunther CHOPS him, and Punk falls through the ropes! Gunther keeps Punk from falling to the floor, just so he can CHOP Punk again! Gunther BOOTS Punk down and lets Punk fall to the apron. The fans boo but Gunther soaks up the heat again. Gunther looms over Punk and Punk reaches up at him. Gunther eggs Punk on, scuffs and pushes him, but the fans rally up again.

Gunther CHOPS Punk against the ropes, then CHOPS, then ROCKS him! Punk hobbles around the way but he comes back to SLAP! Gunther eggs Punk on, so Punk CHOPS! And KICKS! KICKS! KICKS! Punk whips, Gunther reverses, then Gunther CHOPS Punk down! That was high on the chest, almost into the neck, but Punk still needs to catch his breath either way. Gunther clamps onto Punk and asks, “Who’s the kid? Huh? Who’s the kid now?!” Gunther rains down ELBOWS, then dares Punk to call him a kid again. Gunther says Punk is never going to be Best in the World or World Heavyweight Champion!

The fans rally up as Punk endures. Punk fights up, and fireman’s carries! Gunther slips free, shoves Punk, and jumps but into a hard Atomic Drop! Punk has the legs, but Gunther BOOTS him away! Gunther CHOPS Punk to a corner! Gunther scoops to SLAM Punk! The fans boo but Gunther has Punk’s legs now. Gunther adds insult to injury as he puts Punk in the SHARPSHOOTER!! Punk endures the hold of the Hitman, his wrestling role model! The fans fire up as Punk powers up! Punk reaches out, but then he rolls! He turns things around, trips Gunther up, and now Punk has the SHARPSHOOTER for himself!!

Gunther endures, the fans fire up, and Punk sits deep! Gunther reaches out, ROPEBREAK! Punk lets go in frustration, and he clutches his own legs as he crawls away. Punk slaps his legs into working. The fans rally up as Punk and Gunther stand. Gunther runs up to GERMAN SUPLEX! Punk sputters and Gunther looms over him. Gunther mocks the fans, mocks Punk, then soaks up that heat. “This is the Best in the World, everybody! Best in the World.” The fans boo more but Gunther eggs them on. Gunther goes back to Punk as Punk slowly sits up. Gunther scuffs Punk, eggs Punk on, but Punk rises up.

Gunther pie faces Punk, then CHOPS him! Punk stands back up, but Gunther CHOPS him again! Punk fires a forearm, Gunther CHOPS, so Punk CHOPS! Gunther CHOPS, Punk HAYMAKERS, repeat! Punk CHOPS, runs, and LARIATS! Gunther wobbles but stays up, so Punk LARIATS again! Gunther staggers but stays up, so Punk runs again! Gunther CHOPS! Gunther runs, but Punk CALF KICKS! And the SWINGING NECKBREAKER! The fans fire up, Punk runs in at the corner, SHINING- NO, Gunther gets under Punk to POWERBOMB! Cover, TWO!! Punk survives and Gunther is beside himself!

The fans rally up, “This is Awesome!” Punk sputters but Gunther grabs the legs. Punk reaches up and he drags Gunther into a TRIANGLE HOLD! Gunther fights around to stack this but Punk rounds his shoulders! Punk claws into that arm, but Gunther powers his way through! Gunther has both legs, Punk fights the turnover, and Punk gets a leg free! Punk KICKS Gunther away, but Gunther returns to CHOP! And then a CHOP to the back! SLEEPER, but Punk slips out! RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP! Gunther goes to a corner, but Punk runs in and SHINING WIZARDS! BULLDOG! Cover, TWO!! Gunther is still in this, but Punk keeps his focus.

Punk goes to the ropes, then he goes to the corner. The fans rally as Punk drags himself up to the top! But Gunther CHOPS Punk first! Gunther fires a forearm, then he hoists Punk up! ROCKET LAUNCHER! Now Gunther climbs up the corner! GENERAL SPLASH!! Cover, TWO!! Punk survives and the fans fire up! Gunther is frustrated, but he goes back to Punk. Gunther taunts Punk and kicks him around. The fans rally for Punk while Gunther drags Punk up. Gunther winds up to LARIAT! Punk goes down in a heap! Gunther leans on the ropes while he taunts Punk more. Punk sits up, swings blindly, but Gunther grins as he has Punk where he wants him.

Gunther runs and LARIATS Punk back down! The fans boo but Gunther waits on Punk. Punk stands again, Gunther runs up, but into a fireman’s carry! GO TO- NO! Gunther blocks and gets Punk up! POWERBOMB!! Gunther eggs Punk on while he aims from the corner. Punk sputters and slowly rises while the fans cheer him on. Gunther runs in and SHOTGUNS Punk down! Then Gunther hauls Punk back up, POWERBOMB!! High stack, TWO!?! Punk survives and Gunther has no idea what to make of that! The fans rally for Punk as hard as they can but he’s still down as Gunther storms over to him again.

Gunther looms over Punk, eggs him on more, “I’m right here! C’mon!” Punk drags himself up, throws a body shot, but there wasn’t much to it. Gunther grins and CHOPS! And CHOPS! Punk goes to the ropes, but Gunther drags him up. Gunther puts Punk along the top rope to CHOP! Gunther stands n Punk and bends him! The ref counts, the fans boo, but Gunther steps off. Punk flops to the apron, Gunther kicks him to the floor, and then Gunther goes out to drag Punk up. Gunther lifts Punk to BACK SUPLEX into the post! Punk flops to the floor and Gunther refreshes the count. Gunther looks to the world title as it sits on the pedestal.

Gunther says this title belongs to the real Best in the World, Der Ring General, Gunther! The fans boo but Gunther stands on the desk to soak it all in. But Punk sweeps the leg! Gunther hits the desk then the floor! The fans rally up for Punk while he and Gunther are both down on the outside. The ring count returns, and Gunther rises up. Gunther is busted open! The fans are stunned seeing that! Gunther sputters his way into the ring and to a corner, but Punk is still down. Punk rolls into the ring, Gunther blinks the blood out of his eyes, and Gunther wants mercy! Punk says nope, and he fires off fats hands!

The fans fire up as Punk fires off in a corner! Gunther shoves Punk away, but Punk SHINING WIZARDS! Short arm LARIAT! Punk hurries up top, and MACHO ELBOW!! The fans fire up as Punk is feeling it now! Fireman’s carry and GO TO- SLEEPER!! Gunther still caught Punk!! Punk flails, reaches out, fights up, and he punches Gunther from below! Gunther and Punk stand, Punk manages to fireman’s carry! GO TO SLEEP!! Gunther staggers, out on his feet! Punk says fine, and fireman’s carries again! GO TO SLEEP!! Cover, PUNK WINS!!!

Winner: CM Punk, by pinfall (NEW WWE World Heavyweight Champion)

New Jersey erupts in celebration as CM Punk fights through the pain, defies expectations, and is once again a world champion in the WWE! It was a long journey these past ten years, but now it was all worth it because of this moment! Punk hugs the title while the fans cheer him on, and even then, it seems surreal. Punk stands, truly The Best in the World! He looks around at the crowd here in MetLife Stadium and nods. Punk holds up the belt, but SETH ROLLINS IS HERE?!? The fans are freaking out, because Mr. Money in the Bank is supposed to be hurt! Rollins uses crutches to hobble out here, Paul Heyman by his side, and MITB briefcase in hand.

Rollins tells Punk that one way or another, the title will still come home with him! Rollins then turns around to hobble away, but then he DROPS THE CRUTCHES! The damage to Rollins’ leg was greatly exaggerated, all so he could have this moment! Rollins throws off the brace, throws off the sequin jacket, and he runs down the ramp! He tells the ref to follow him, and then Rollins fires off on Punk! Punk fireman’s carries but Rollins just HAMMERS away! BRIEFCASE SHOT!! Punk staggers around, BREFICAES SHOT after BRIEFCASE SHOT! Rollins is gonna break that thing open on Punk’s body!!

Rollins gives the briefcase to the ref, and he says he is CASHING IN!!! New Jersey is going nuts, but the bell rings!!

Punk sputters, Rollins runs up, CURB STOMP!!! Cover, ROLLINS WINS!!!

The Best in the World was only world champion for mere minutes, and The Visionary made sure it was all because of him! Bron & Bronson are also here to celebrate with their mastermind of a leader, because they all love it when a plan comes together! They all raise their hands and the pyro goes off! Is this just the beginning of their world domination?

My Thoughts:

An awesome first night of this first-ever two-night SummerSlam, and it went faster than I had expected. The three hour countdown show was still more than was needed, given the main show itself only just managed to push past three hours. That aside, good move having the opener be Roman & Jey VS Bron & Bronson. For one, the entrance length of Jey and Roman total took some time, so it was good to get that out of the way at the start and adjust accordingly. Great win for Roman & Jey, but I was surprised we didn’t get the stereo spears like we did during the build. At the same time, great character stuff with Roman taking the spear from Bron so that Jey could finish things off. I wonder if that plays into the story’s next few weeks.

Especially considering that awesome ending. Punk VS Gunther was a great match, a real gritty display to show Punk can still tough it out with this generation. Great win for Punk, but then surprise! Rollins’ knee really wasn’t that bad, and they were waiting to spring the trap. As Maggle coined it, this was Rollins’ Ruse of the Century to go with the Heist of the Century, and Rollins is champion again. And maybe now there’s the “Can They Coexist?” Six Man Tag where Punk, Roman and Jey have to work together to go after Rollins, Bron & Bronson. It’ll mostly be Punk and Roman working out their differences with Jey as the peacemaker.

Great Women’s Tag Team Championship match, and how great that they tricked us with the miscommunication spot. Charlotte has been around long enough to understand that trope so she knew not to get mad at Alexa and focus on the opponents. I’d guessed Charlotte & Alexa would win and I was right, because now this helps both their story and the Judgment Day’s story move forward. Great Women’s Championship match from Tiff VS Jade, but it sure went quick. Was it meant to be that short? I can’t imagine them needing to cut for time. But they did a good job protecting Jade in the loss, at least.

Great match from Sami VS Kross, but I’m a little surprised they gave Sami both the moral victory and actual victory. It’s like John Cena VS Bray Wyatt that first time around where Cena did the exact same thing. I suppose this is so Sami can move up to a championship, maybe the world championship, but I’m very curious to what Kross does. The fans have put their support behind Kross, but is there a plan we’re just not seeing? And great stuff with #RKRoll VS Drew & Logan, this was on the level of when Bad Bunny had his time in WWE. Jelly Roll wasn’t in this to make a name for himself, he was in this for how he loves pro-wrestling like the rest of us.

Plus, you gotta applaud and respect everything Jelly was willing to do here. He took that table frog splash spot, he took the finishers and the pin, and as he said in his interviews with Jackie Redmond and with Stephanie McMahon, he is working on his physical health. He weighed over 300 pounds ever since middle school, but he finally worked it off to be 299 today, and he only plans to get healthier. Good on him, let’s all support him on that journey.
