Andrew’s TNA iMPACT! Results & Match Ratings: 10.2.2025

Well since we’ve got a lot of TNA stuff the next few weeks be it on NXT shows or Bound for Glory, this episode should be interesting to see where they go to fill time between both shows and the afterglow of Victory Road.

More moving pieces than expected, so hopefully things ramp up since Victory Road was pretty damn mid, I nearly fell asleep during the watch-a-long at least twice.

Oh but Mara Sade gets a video package…I’m awake.

Results:

We open with Kaz patting himself on the back and demanding accolades. And then it turns into an idiot parade of talking too damn much. Kaz calls down Kelani, then Trick interrupts to run down the company, Matt Hardy comes out to talk back, Charisma vacuum Leon Slater comes out to ramble like an imbecile. I guess we’re getting a 6 man later with Indi, Matt & Leon vs Kelani, Kaz and Trick. This is just ridiculous. No one needs 20 minutes of chittering garbage to set up a worthless 6 man when we have Showdown in like 5 days. So Santino comes out to make the obvious useless Trios match. Color by Numbers booking everyone, someone give the boy a kewpie doll. 

Trick Williams, Kaz & Kelani Jordan vs Matt Hardy, Leon Slater & Indi Hartwell

This is my feelings in a nutshell:

Indi and Kelani start as we come back from the commercial break from talking. It’s just locomotion Cradles, Back Slides and different near falls. Kaz tags in because the pace is going sooo well, Indi is about to tag out but Kaz shoves her into the buckles, so she fires up to tag in Matt for the Elbow into the hyperextended arm spot. Matt does the Delete Armbreakers, Matt tags in Leon and they do the Jeff and Matt first tandem spot. Then Leon goes for his awful 10 Count Bark Punches with a Monkey Flip and Kaz powders after Kelani gets a blind tag so Indi comes back in.

Indi starts building momentum but when she hits the ropes, Kaz grabs her foot as Trick distracts the ref. Kelani puts some offense together punctuating it with her Flying Crossbody into a near fall and then the Body Scissors, but Indi is rolling out of it. Simultaneous tags Trick and Leon. Leon tries the Leg Lariat and misses but Leon hits the Lethal Injection off the rebound and Trick is dizzy until he throats Leon into the bottom rope and Kaz hits the Guillotine Leg Drop for fun as Trick puts it together. Flapjack into the Full Nelson submission and another commercial break.

We come back from commercial in time to see Kaz accidentally hit Trick to save Leon so he tags out to Matt and Matt tees off on Trick with Delete Head Smashes into the buckles, Lariat, Side Effect for two. Matt wants the Twist, Kaz tries to break it up so Matt turns it into the Double DDT. Tries the Twist again but Trick shoves him off, Leg Lariat and tags in Kaz. Kaz wants the Chicken Wing, Matt says no, tags Leon but Kaz attacks Leon first and then Slingshots him into the Cutter, Indi attacks Kaz, Kelani Superkicks Indi. Matt pulls out Trick, Trick gets in Santana’s face. Then Trick gets kicked into Santana so that’s being “provoked” and it turns into bedlam. Moves happen, bodies everywhere, Corn Soup for everyone and then Leon hits the Swanton 450 on Kaz for the win. It was a mess, but at least the Trick and Santana interaction was amusing.

Now fatass Tommy Dreamer comes out to continue talking about Showdown. Jesus, we don’t need more talking, go home Tommy you’re drunk. We don’t need you to talk and the “family” line is cringe. TNA has like at least 60% roster turn over every year, I wish I could fire family members and get new ones with a better contract. Stupid words from someone who hasn’t cut a good promo since Bully Ray shit talked his mom. 

Angel Warriors vs Kat Von Heez & Ava Lawless

Let’s be clear, I love Lei, and Xia has grown on me the last few years…but this team name is awful and now they get an enhancement match.

Xia and Lei try to go the Rising Knee into Down Strikes in stereo, but the timing is bad and Xia looks cringe doing it. Lei also gets in the refs way as she’s trying to retreat to the apron. Kat von Heez moves like shit, her offense looks bad. Ava Lawless is mediocre at best…at least Lei got solid offense on the bigger opponent to get her strength over. Their tandem finish is Xia Brooksie Bombing Lei into the opponent and it’s called Heaven Sent? This was awful…someone help Lei Ying Lee from awful ideas. Also Xia using her finish on her partner onto a downed opponent…makes her finish look bad. How can we ever believe Xia’s Brooksie Bomb can take someone out when Lei looks fresh as a daisy making the pin.

I get this was supposed to showcase their tag team, but this was a failure. No chemistry, bad offense, it only proved Lei Ying should be singles and the Knockouts champion.

Nic w/Ryan Nemeth vs Home Town Man

Ryan tries to distract HTM in the beginning, Nic wants Danger Zone instantly, but HTM dodges and stomps a Mudhole into Nic, Hip Attack in the corner, into Airplane Spin TKO…only a two. Remember, Home Town Man is undefeated…just remember that. HTM tries the Shiranui, but Ryan grabs the foot, Splash from Nic into Rude Awakening but only a two. Lots of interference by Ryan, Nic tries to rip off the mask and then turns it into a Sleeper with the Body Scissors. Home Town Hulk Up, punches to get out, but Nic stops it and big brother’s Home Town. Nic tries to run the ropes, eats a Lariat and a comeback, Scoop Slam into the Home Town Elbow and Warrior Rope Shake. Shiranui…nope, HOME TOWN SLICE! 1-2-Ryan puts the foot on the ropes! HTM Dives onto Ryan and takes his old mask off of Ryan.

Home Town slides back in, eats the Super Kick and Danger Zone, Undefeated no longer! Nic steals back the mask for Ryan. Post match beat down and here comes Car Donuts. Kaiba Boys cut off Cardona and Nemeths stand tall.

Gia cuts a better promo than 75% of the roster, and now I want to call her Millie from Helluva Boss. 

Tasha Steelz w/Order 4 vs Alisha Edwards w/The System

This may be an awful match, but it might still be entertaining.

Tasha shoves Lish, so she double legs Tasha and they cat fight for the first minute or so before Tasha tries to retreat to the corner, Lish throws punches and over hand chips, Skyler trips up Lish as Tasha distracts the ref. So Tasha takes control, mostly basic control spots on Arm Wringers and corner strikes…Tasha hits a PK for a near fall, but really a deliberate pace. Lish finally fires out of a corner with a Lariat, seats Tasha in the corner, hits the Sliding Crossbody in the corner for two. Tasha hits the Falcon Arrow, but Lish kicks out.

This hasn’t been a very fluid match but at least it feels like they don’t like each other, the Superkick spot is the first one that looks telegraphed and amateur. Tasha signals Order 4 to cause chaos, Tasha grabs the Kendo, misses and drops Kendra, so Lish uses Kendra to crack Tasha and then hits a Pedigree for the win. Cat fight post match so both teams grab their girls and have a standoff.

TNA Knockouts Tag Team Titles: M & Heather by Elegance w/Concierge (c) vs The IInspiration

Maggie and Heather play rock, paper, scissors for who starts, what are they, Saiyans? Heather and Jessie start, quick tag to Cassie for the Dual Hip Toss and a quick near fall. Heather then tags out for M, tandem work from Elegance, but only a near fall. Lee on Lee violence, Shoulder Tackle drops the red head, Cassie tags in Jessie but M Sole But on Cassie, Rear View on Jessie, near fall, then a little back and forth, Heather get tagged in off the rebound and Jessie attacks Heather before she even gets in the ring. Jessie does her goofy extended stomp, then pulls M into the ring, IInspiration just takes out both Elegantos, IIconic pose as both Elegance girls are rocked.

M finally manages to grab Cassie, Heather blindsides, tags back in M and more Lee on Lee violence. M hits the Vertical Suplex with a big smile and…we go to the last commercial. We come back. Heather is in control of Jessie, but then Jessie starts fighting back, nearly makes the tag but M pulls off Cassie and it was well timed. Heather tags in M and Carbon Footprint from M for two. M with the Kneeling Bow and Arrow, but the crowd is behind Jessie, Jessie tries to fire but M keeps her down and drives her knee into Jessie’s spine and goes back to the Bow and Arrow. Jessie tries to tag, M grabs her, Jessie turns it into a Neckbreaker, simultaneous tag moment, Heather and Cassie are legal.

Cassie fights both M and Heather, Spinning Heel Kick knocks M to the outside, a few more strikes and a face smash for a near fall on Heather. Cassie wants a Suplex, but M makes the save, but accidentally distracts the ref so Cassie hits the Blue Thunder Bomb for two. Concierge starts bitching, Cassie is complaining to kick out concierge, a rake to the eyes, Heather feeds Cassie to M on the outside for a Cheap Chin Music, but Jessie makes the save. Concierge gives Heather the Champagne, it backfires and she hits M with the champagne, Idolizer, IInspiration wins!

Overall Score: 4/10

Gia’s great promo, Tessa’s cunty promo and the main event were what got the points tonight, the rest of the show is pretty useless. 20 minutes of talking into a lame boy trios match. Home Town Man losing to Nic was necessary, but I’m sadly liking the gimmick. Angel Warriors looked awful, and I like both women. But they don’t work well together, the tandem finish makes Xia’s singles finish look bad and Lei being number 1 in the gauntlet is hampered by this dumb tag team because if she does somehow win, she’ll prolly cash it in for a tag title shot instead of the Knockouts Title that she really should be wearing now.

So at least the good parts were good enough to drag this show out of the trash pile, but it still was useless. And keep Dreamer off television, this ain’t Olive Garden, get new material doofus.
