The fans boo, but Zayda has the mic to say, “And STILL WWE Evolve Champion, Jackson Drake, baby~! Yeah!” Jackson flexes, and Zayda says last week, we all witnessed an example of addition by subtraction. VP is tighter, stronger, and sexier than ever! But wait, here comes Keanu Carver! And he is pushing his way through security, even with one good arm! Bigg Jah hurries out here to tell Keanu to chill!

Jah knows Keanu is pissed, but chill, homie. He’s got something brewing. Tonight will be full of surprises! Zayda interrupts by telling Bigg Jah that if he thinks he is gonna come out here and run Evolve, newsflash! That job is taken! Jah tells Zayda to chill and pump the brakes. Stevie Turner already granted Jah the power of GM for the week, and maybe more. Matter of fact, Jah’s got a surprise for them, too! Vanity Project, they got off on the wrong foot. They’re the “leaders” of Evolve, the main event, he gets that. They’ll be where they want to be later, aka the main event, against Keanu Carver!

But not only that, Jah has one more thing: Keanu will need some partners, and Jah knows at least two guys who are perfect for it. Hit their music! O T M!? Lucien Price & Bronco Nima dap it up with Bigg Jah, and they even shake hands with Keanu. Vanity Project is now up against three heavy, heavy hitters, and they are worried! But then OTM jump right into the ring, and they each get Swipe Right in guzels! STEREO CHOKE SLAMS!! Swipe Right bails out, Jackson wants OTM to chill. But Keanu is right there waiting for him! Heartbreak Drake says he’ll go this way, but OTM is still that way. And then Keanu gets int he ring!

Jackson scrambles away and says that close! Vanity Project regroups, will they survive tonight’s main event? Or will they fail to get out the mud?

Wendy Choo goes to therapy.

The Sleepy Psycho rests back as she is asked, “When you think about who you are, what words come to mind?” Confused, invisible, lonely. What does loneliness feel like to her? For so long, she just tried to stand out, wanting to be different. But along that way, she lost her identity. She feels disassociated all the time. Disconnected from everyone. Including herself. How has she been coping with those feelings? She stopped talking. She was hiding behind silence. She was hurt. All her frustrations, her disappointments, she can’t keep carrying all of it. It seems Wendy has a long road ahead of her in this journey of self-discovery, but where will it take her?

Backstage interview with Chantel Monroe.

Chuey Martinez is with The Showstopping Diva and asks her about Wendy Choo and therapy. Chantel says she is all for therapy and mental health, but there is no amount of head-meds on the planet that can help Wendy’s bargain basement brain. Sorry not sorry, she’s not buying the act. If Wendy gets in Chantel’s face, her mental health will be the least of her worries after Chantel slaps her silly and sends her packing back to Spirit Halloween. So Wendy, keep Chantel’s name out your mouth, or the next type of therapy you do will be physical therapy. Chuey thanks Chantel for her time and she heads out.

“Super Sean” may have fallen in the WWE Speed Tournament last night on NXT, but his focus is right back on Evolve and his grudge with the Epitome of Excellence. Edris has run his mouth before, but will he be humbled as part of Sean’s legacy? Or will he prove you can’t spell Evolve without E O E?

The bell rings and the fans fire up as the fists fly! Legacy puts Enofe in a corner, the ref counts, but the ref has to back him up at 4. Legacy apologizes, but then Enofe runs up! Legacy dodges Enofe to reel him in for a big atomic drop! Enofe sits down, Legacy KICKS him on the back, KICKS him in the front, and STANDING MOONSAULTS! Cover, TWO! The fans cheer while Enofe bails out. Legacy smiles, builds speed, but Enofe ROCKS him first! The fans boo but Enofe gets in and CLOBBERS Legacy! Enofe rains down fists, then drags Legacy up to run and LARIAT! Cover, ONE, but Enofe covers again! ONE, and Enofe runs to basement BOOT!

Legacy sputters, the fans boo, but Enofe drags Legacy up. Legacy fires body shots but Enofe ROCKS him! Enofe CHOKES Legacy on the ropes! The ref counts, Enofe stops at 4, and he stalks Legacy. Legacy learned from his shortcomings and he got that much better! Chuey is ringside to interview him, great win over a rival of his. They keep coming at him but he keeps stacking W’s. Legacy says Succession was the biggest show in Evolve’s history. He wasn’t part of it, he’s a bit irritated by that, but hey, with Edris in the rearview, Legacy will do everything it takes to be part of the next special. Even if that means going after the WWE Evolve Championship! The fans like the sound of that, and Chuey says he always has his eyes on the prize. Legacy says damn right! This is what the WWE ID Program is about!

But hey, hey, he isn’t gonna end this on him, though. He’ll bring up someone who has been missing from Evolve for a minute. And that someone is really hard to reach. Someone who still has a flip phone to this day. But that someone watches the show, and that someone is Timothy Thatcher. The fans cheer, and Legacy says he speaks on behalf of everyone here when he says, time to come back, Timothy! The fans cheer Legacy shouting out his number one coach. But will “Super Sean” soon be number one in the title chase? Or is his hero’s journey going to take a few more twists and turns?

Another LFG season has come and gone, and we will see the coaches of LFG help introduce some new faces! That’s right, Booker T, Bubba Ray, Michelle McCool and The Undertaker will be here! But will their LFG prospects be ready to Evolve?

Stevie Turner talks with Bigg Jah in the office.

The Prime Minister likes how the Special Guest GM handled Vanity Project, they are just so annoying. Jah says Evolve is crackin’ right now. And then in walk Masyn Holiday & Layla Diggs. They agree, Evolve is great. Also, while they didn’t get proper headshots done, Layla still has this picture for his consideration. Oh, is this a selfie? Close enough. Well, he isn’t being movie director Jah right now, he’s General Manager Jah. But hey, didn’t Stevie bring up the AAA guest for next week? Yes, Laredo Kid makes his Evolve debut! Oh, okay, let Jah cook for a second. AAA’s Laredo Kid VS WWE PC talent VS WWE ID talent in a Triple Threat!

The two agree, and Stevie says it should be Marcus Mathers for the ID. Jah agrees, and then make it Tate Wilder for the PC. Masyn & Layla return to cheer on Jah’s idea, and they say they’re also perfect for Jah’s ideas. Just check their social media and IMDB. Okay, but question: No color in the printer? Well, you have them in person, and also Instagram. Jah says that’s true. Will Layla & Masyn get their moment in the spotlight? Will Laredo Kid, Tate Wilder or Marcus Mathers prove they’re ready for their own spotlight in next week’s Triple Threat?

Jax Presley & Harley Riggins talk backstage.

Gnarly Harley is annoyed at Adrenaline Drip running their mouths around the Performance Center. But Space Cowboy Jax says that’s the thing nowadays: Most people are tough guys behind closed doors. But they did say one thing that’s right: they are 1-1! And the Blue Chippers won’t lie, Adrenaline Drip caught them off guard. But that was a trap game! Jax & Harley could beat those bums into oblivion nine times outta ten! They will learn from that. That was a wake-up call. You won’t catch them slipping. They’re locked in and ready to avenge the loss. So Cappuccino, Cartwheel, get your flips ‘n’ tricks in, because next time Jax & Harley get a hold of you, they’ll break you!

Zayda Steel w/ The Vanity Project VS ???

Part one of Bigg Jah’s big surprise is here as The Real Deal has no idea who she’ll face tonight. Will she still be ready for action? Or will she learn a thing or two about respect? Because SURPRISE, it’s THEA HAIL! The fans fire up for the Chase U Alumni, but will this Grown Ass Woman be ready to Evolve?

The bell rings and the two are arguing already. They shove each other, then Thea shoots around to snapmare Zayda and PENALTY KICK! Then STANDING MOONSAULT! Cover, TWO! Zayda flounders around to a corner, Thea mocks Zayda, then eggs her on. Zayda gets up, apologizes, and wants a handshake? Or a fist bump, at least. Thea mocks her with the V for Vanity instead! Zayda kicks, Thea blocks and spins her, but Zayda elbows free. Zayda THROWS Thea by her hair, then soaks up the heat. But then Thea THROWS Zayda by her hair! And DROPKICKS her! Zayda flounders to ropes, Thea struts to mock her more.

Thea grabs a leg, Zayda holds the ropes, and Swipe Right reaches out to help Zayda. Thea just YANKS Zayda from the ropes to drop her down! Thea tells the boys to back off, but that lets Zayda ROCK at the apron! And DRAPING CODE BREAKER! The fans rally for Thea but Zayda stomps a mudhole in! The ref counts, Zayda backs off at 4, and she drags Thea up. Zayda whips corner to corner, runs in, and SHINING WIZARD! Zayda soaks up heat while she pushes Thea down, then she drags Thea up. Zayda puts Thea on the ropes to CHOKE her! The ref counts, Zayda stops, and the fans boo. Zayda then stands on Thea for skateboard stomps!

Zayda kicks Thea away, mocks her by shaking the ropes, but Thea rolls her up! ONE, but Thea backslides! TWO and Zayda LARIATS! Zayda then KNEES Thea into the chinlock! Thea flails and fights up as the fans rally. Thea JAWBREAKERS free! Thea goes to a corner, Zayda runs up, but Thea BOOTS her down! Thea then kicks a leg out, and KNEES Zayda down! Thea runs to rally with AX HANDLE after AX HANDLE! Thea whips Zayda to a corner, LARIATS, then EXPLODERS! Vanity Project panics but Thea drags Zayda up for a scoop. WORLD’S SMALLEST SLAM, then SOMERSAULT SENTON!

Thea shakes the ropes and the fans fire up for the TRUST FALL SENTON! Thea shakes the ropes again, the fans fire up, but Smokes reaches in. Thea STOMPS Smokes’ hand! But Zayda rolls Thea up! TWO!! Zayda is up, but Thea HEADBUTTS her! KIMURA!! Zayda TAPS, Thea wins!!

And that is what Mr. Chase would call a #TeachableMoment! Numbers games only work when you know all the variables, and Thea is certainly a wild card! Zayda just got humbled, if only by a little, will the same thing happen to Jackson Drake & Swipe Right? We find out next in the main event!

It’s Gal speaks.

“When Baby Gal first saw The Prototype, he knew that the time is now to get a sick pump, 24/7/365! Final verdict, the Prototype gets a 9.5 on the Stud-o-meter. The Prototype inspired It’s Gal to achieve the never-seen seventeen reps at 315. And speaking of 315, up next we’ve got the Ringmaster, who was a master in that ring, but was a student when it came to having your tanning on point. Listen, you wanna be tanned, jacked, ready to attack like It’s Gal, you gotta work those guns in the sun. He might’ve been the Million Dollar Champ, but that weak tan keeps you out of the ten-outta-ten camp. Final verdict: The Ringmaster gets an 8.7 on the Stud-o-meter.

“It’s Gal 3:15 says I just scored your pale ass!” The Real-Life Action Figure sure thinks highly of himself and only so much about some iconic superstars’ humble beginnings. But will Mr. Mint Condition learn everyone has to Evolve at some point? Or will it then, now, and forever be It’s Gal?

Aaron Rourke speaks.

“My name is Aaron Rourke, and even though I hale from Sparkle City, I grew up in Long Island, New York. And growing up there was tough. Not gonna lie, it was tough. I was bullied relentlessly, and everyone’s go to is, ‘Just push through,’ or, ‘Toughen up.’ It just made it seem like, ‘You have to change.’  I mean, being a kid is already hard on it’s own, and then you make me feel wrong for being who I am? It hurts. Because I know who I am. And I couldn’t change that. That’s when wrestling became an escape for me. I just kept seeing all these larger than life characters, these superheroes, on my screen and I just knew I wanted to be that.

“I didn’t know how I was gonna get there, but I knew that one day, that’d be me.” The Dime Piece will continue this story of perfection next time.

Stevie Turner meets with Brooks Jensen.

Stevie thanks the Lost Cause for seeing her. She knows he has his eyes on the title, but Keanu Carver is still next in line. After all, Keanu won that #1 contender’s match against Jensen. Jensen says yes, congrats to Keanu. But are we going to ignore what happened after? Vanity Project sent the big guy after Keanu, and then the big guy decides that HE is no longer Vanity Project and he weasels his way into a title shot! Stevie & Jah have Jensen calm down, they get it. Vanity Project is the worst. But just like anyone else, Jensen has to earn his title shot. Now, if he’ll excuse her, Stevie has some WWE ID business to deal with.

Jensen leaves, Jah says there are a lot of moving parts at this job. Stevie says yeah, from dealing with a lot of big egos  to making exciting matches, to signing some new WWE ID contracts. Then what we got? Stevie shows these three to Jah, they’ll be here next week. Jah can’t wait to meet ’em. But just who is it that have been ID’d for Evolve?

Six Man Tag: Keanu Carver & OTM VS The Vanity Project!

Evolve returns to the ring as The Vanity Project is still hanging around. The One Man Demolition Crew from DC makes his entrance, followed by Prince & Nima. They had a great showing as a trio in that appetizer to start the show, but will they be satisfied with this main course main event?

The introductions are made for this big fight Six Man Tag, and we see who eats the competition alive!

The teams sort out and Drake starts against Nima. They tie up, Drake waistlocks, then Drake CLUBS Nima on the back. Nima is more annoyed than anything, and he blocks a kick. Drake dodges the haymaker, headlocks, but Nima powers up. Drake holds on tight, but Nima THROWS Drake away! The fans fire up, and Nima scoops for a torture rack and DROP! Drake writhes, Keanu tags in, and the fans fire up. Drake panics and scurries to tag Smokes! Smokes and Keanu circle. Smokes goes for a leg but Keanu gut wrenches Smokes! Smokes slips free, wrenches, and he tries ot take the cast off the bad arm, only for the good arm to LARIAT!

Keanu scoops and SLAMS Smokes, then TOSSES him to the corner. Tag to Price, Smokes dodges a boot, and he tags Brad Baylor. Brad runs up, but Price CLOBBERS him! Brad is worried now, but he CHOPS! Price doesn’t even flinch! Price TOSSES Brad to a corner, and CHOPS in return! The fans fire up with Price, and he hauls Brad up to back suplex. Brad lands out, fires forearms, but Price blocks the whip to reverse it! Scoop and SLAM! Price drags Brad over, tags Nima, and they double whip to DOUBLE ELBOW! FALLING AX HANDLE! Cover, ONE, but Nima runs to STOMP Brad down! Brad writhes, Nima runs, but Smokes gest a cheap shot in!

The fans boo, but Nima TOSSES Smokes! Smokes panics, shoves Keanu, but the ref keeps Keanu from getting in there. The distractions only let Drake CHOP BLOCK Nima! The fans boo but the Vanity Project then POSTS Nima! Zayda laughs at Nima and Vanity Project soaks up the heat while Evolve goes to break.

Evolve returns as Brad feeds Nima to Smokes’ BOOT! Smokes then smothers Nima on the ropes, digs his knee in, but stops as the ref counts. Smokes fires forearms, has Nima in the corner, and he stomps a mudhole in. The ref backs Smokes off, and he watches the others closely. Smokes brings Nima up, but Nima fights the suplex. Nima fires body shots, but then Smokes blocks the suplex. Smokes kicks the leg out, CLUBS Nima, then tags Brad. Smokes CHOKES Nima on the ropes, then Brad KNEE LIFTS Nima! Smokes ROCKS Nima, Brad steps in for the DDT! Cover, TWO! Brad is frustrated already but the fans rally up.

Brad CLUBS Nima, CLUBS him again, then stomps away. Tag to Smokes, Brad hits a NECK SNAPPER! Smokes adds the basement DROPKICK! Cover, TWO! Smokes taunts Keanu and Price, but Nima back elbows! Smokes kicks low, then he CLUBS Nima down! Smokes tags Brad, they mug Nima, and Brad ROCKS Nima! Nima wobbles, goes to ropes, and Brad pie faces him. Nima shoves Brad, ROCKS him, ROCKS him again, and again! The fans fir eup as Nima fires more shots, but Brad drop toeholds him onto ropes! Brad CHOKES Nima, the ref counts, and Brad backs off. Drake gets a cheap shot in!

The fans boo but Drake just swaggers. Brad tags Smokes, he stomps away on Nima, but Nima SHOVES Smokes, DECKS Drake, and swipes at Brad. But Smokes jumps on for a FACELOCK GUILLOTINE! Nima stays up, and the fans rally as he marches forward, step by step! Nima powers up but Smokes KNEES low! Smokes fires hands, Drake YANKS Keanu down to SUPERKICK him! But Nima BACKDROPS Smokes! Hot tags to Brad and Price! Price rallies on Swipe Right, URENAGE on Smokes! URENAGE for Brad onto Smokes! Then Price lifts Drake, to THROW him into Swipe Right! The fans fire up for Price while Vanity Project flounders!

Price LARIATS Smokes in a corner, then runs up on Brad. Brad dodges, comes back, SHOTGUN! Tag to Drake, Drake springboards to SWANTON! Cover, TWO! Drake is seething, but he coordinates with his guys. Tag to Brad, tag to Smokes, and Swipe Right says time to swipe- DOUBLE SUPLEX from Price!! The fans fire up as Price crawls, staggers, hot tags to Drake and Keanu! SAMOAN DROP for Drake! Smokes runs up but Keanu scoops him! FALL AWAY SLAM! Brad runs up, but into a FLAPJACK! VP flounders around, Drake returns, Keanu dodges to shove and POUNCE!! PERIOD! Then a scoop and-

NO, Brad saves Drake! Drake HOTSHOTS Keanu’s bad arm! The fans boo, but Nima BRONCO STOMPS Brad! But then Smokes FLIES onto Nima! The fands hate to admit that was good, but then Price runs up! He BREAKS the lariat, to APRON BACK SUPLEX Smokes! Drake WRECKS Price with a dropkick! Then he aims at Keanu! UNALIV- LARIAT!! Cover, Keanu & OTM win!

The Carolina Reaper tried to Unalive Keanu, but he got cracked with that cast wrapped arm! Is the entire Vanity Project in danger now that Keanu is getting his shot? Or can they find a way to survive without Bryce Donovan?

My Score:

A great Evolve, and I guess only specials like Succession get to be in the “NXT Arena” part of Performance Center. With the news of Stevie Turner being let go, I’m waiting for how they write her off when she’s the “Prime Minister,” not a wrestler. Jah is fun as guest GM, but I’m not sure what Masyn & Layla are expecting. Good promo from them, though, as well as Brooks Jensen to help frame the order of events. That is to say, Keanu will get his title shot, great Six Man Tag of Keanu & OTM winning over Vanity Project. Thea Hail having a surprise match was fun, too, and Vanity Project being at their wits end, I wonder if this is how they also write Zayda off since her WWE ID contract is up.

Jah and Stevie giving us Laredo Kid VS Tate Wilder VS Marcus Mathers is good stuff, that’ll be a wild Triple Threat. Legacy VS Enofe was shorter than I expected for a blowoff, but whatever, Legacy was bound to win anyway. Him wanting Thatcher to come back is a nice touch but I’m not sure what happens with that. Perhaps a Student VS Teacher concept where Legacy bests Thatcher before going for the title himself? It certainly feels like the plan is for Legacy to become a champion before the year’s out, though it’d be a shame if Keanu wasn’t a champion himself at some point.

Good promo from Rourke to help us understand his story, what he’s had to go through, but I’m curious about the timing. He and Mathers were being reintroduced as a team, but then that halts after a couple losses with no story behind it. It’s obviously just WWE pivoting to make them each singles stars, but I guess this can count as Evolve’s first dropped story. Very good promo from Jax & Harley, who Evolve is clearly putting more weight behind as a top team. Good promo from Gal, I guess his Stud-o-meter is the next best thing to a talk show gimmick. And very good promos from Wendy and Chantel to add to Wendy’s character change but also the feud between them, and maybe that feud helps build the winner as a contender to the women’s title.
