Sean was super tonight, just not super enough to dethrone Drake. Will anyone ever bring down the Carolina Reaper?
Sol Ruca sulks backstage.
Ethan Page asks her if she needs a towel, an obvious jab at what happened last week. All Ego says the truth hurts right now, but he believes Sol would be Women’s North American Champion if she didn’t worry about her “friend,” Zaria. Sol says it’s complicated, but Ethan says no, it’s not. There’s nothing complicated about how Sol is legitimately a world-champion caliber talent. She should play second to no one, and yet here she is, all stressed, contemplating if she should even be ringside for Zaria’s match tonight. His advice: Don’t. Sol should focus on one person, and that’s Sol. But then Myles Borne steps in.
Myles hopes Sol isn’t buying what Ethan is selling. Ethan says this is typical Myles, sticking his nose in everyone else’s business. Yet, he has such big business. Myles says yeah, it’s the biggest match of his career. But he’s locked in. Oh, is he? Hmm. Ethan knows Trick very well, and that is a man who does things the right way, focused on one person, aka himself, and yet here Myles is, trying to help everyone else. That just means Ethan will never have to worry about Myles. Ethan leaves, but will Myles show everyone that he can go the distance with a former NXT Champion?
Vacant WWE Speed Women’s Championship: ZARIA w/ Sol Ruca VS Fallon Henley w/ The Fatal Influence!
The Agent of Change wants to win this one for Sol, but it’s hard to tell if Sol’s heart is in it anymore. Meanwhile, the Toxic Cowgirl is ready to wrangle another title for the team. Who makes their friends proud in five minutes or less?
NXT returns, Zaria makes her entrance, but it seems Sol took the first part of Ethan’s advice in not accompanying Zaria to the ring. The introductions are made, the belt is on display, and one way or another, we crown a new champion!
The bell rings and we’re on the clock! Zaria and Sol circle, tie up, and go around. Zaria powers Fallon back but Fallon turns things around. They’re on the ropes, Fallon arm-drags Zaria, and the two reset. The fans chant “You Screwed Sol!” as the two tie up. Fallon slips around to jump on for a SLEEPER! Zaria flails, RAMS Fallon into the corner, then she RAMS Fallon into the other corner! Zaria is free, runs up, but Fallon jumps up to sunset flip! TWO, and Fallon CHOPS! Zaria runs in and SPLASHES! The fans still tell Zaria she screwed Sol over, but Zaria snap suplexes! Cover, TWO! We’re at the three minute warning and Zaria grows frustrated. Zaria has the legs all tied up, then HAMMERS Fallon right in the face!
Zaria finishes the leglock, and she drags Fallon with a TEXAS CLOVERLEAF! Fallon endures, the fans rally up, and Zaria sits back! Fallon powers up, reaches out, CLAWS at Zaria’s leg, but she still fights her way to the ROPEBREAK! We hit the two minute orange phase as Zaria stomps away. Zaria and Fallon throw hands, then Zaria scoops! But Fallon slips free to shove Zaria to the corner! Zaria BOOTS Fallon away, then goes up the corner. Zaria reels Fallon in, for the HANGING SLEEPER! Fallon flails, the ref counts, and Zaria lets go at 4! Fallon flounders, Zaria FLYING LARIATS! But Fallon tumbles out!
Zaria is annoyed but she pursues. Fallon swings but Zaria counter punches! Zaria scoops, LAWN DART on the apron! We hit the one minute red phase! The fans are torn as Jacy & Lainey creep up on Zaria. Zaria SMACKS Lainey! Jacy runs away, Fallon YEEHAW TIGER FEINT KICKS! Then Fallon puts Zaria in the ring to go up, up, and CROSSBODY! Zaria rolls through at 30 seconds! Zaria powers up to hit the DELTA – DDT!! Fallon turns things around, covers, TWO!! There’s 15 seconds left!!
Fallon runs, but Zaria slips around! Fireman’s carry, but TIME IS UP!
Time Limit Draw
The fans boo and even Fallon and Zaria are confused! What does this mean for the title? Ava Raine hurries out here and says, “No, no no no, this is not how this is gonna end. We are in New York City, and there needs to be a new Women’s Speed Champion! However, since the title is vacant, this match now moves to sudden death! First pinfall, winner takes all. Referee, ring the bell.” The fans cheer and the ref does as told! We’re in OVERTIME here, but who hits the game winning shot?
Zaria and Fallon run up, Fallon fires shots, then she whips! Zaria reverses, and then fireman’s carries! Military press, but Fallon slips free! Fallon runs, but Zaria TOSSES her out! Zaria huffs ‘n’ puffs while Fallon throws a fit, but NXT goes to break.
NXT returns again and Zaria has Fallon in another HANGING SLEEPER! The ref counts, Fallon fights free, and Fallon YANKS Zaria down! Zaria hits buckles on the way and Jacy shouts, “I LOVE IT!” Fallon covers, TWO! Zaria survives and Fallon is frustrated. Fallon drags Zaria up to fire forearms, but Zaria SMACKS Fallon! Fallon CHOPS, ROCKS, but Zaria hits back! Fallon ROCKS Zaria again, then hurries to get the arms! RINGS OF SATURN! Zaria endures while the fans duel, and Fallon pulls on the hold! Zaria rolls to a cover, TWO! Fallon has the cradle, TWO! Zaria SMACKS Fallon again! Fallon throat chops!
Fallon whips Zaria to the corner, then goes up, only to get caught! Zaria ROCKET LAUNCHES Fallon! Zaria then LARIATS! And LARIATS! And BOOTS! Zaria then wrenches Fallon, HEADBUTTS, and NORTHERN LIGHTS! The fans are torn but Zaria roars! Zaria waistlocks, Fallon fights with elbows, and Fallon victory rolls it, TWO!!! Zaria escapes and SPEARS!! But Fallon tumbles out! Zaria hurries outside, but Lainey saves Fallon! Zaria runs into the steel steps!! Fallon gets Zaria in, YEEHAW WIZARD! Then a FAMOUSER!! Cover, Fallon wins!
Winner: Fallon Henley, by pinfall (NEW WWE Speed Women’s Champion)
It took Fatal Influence’s influence to do it, but Fallon is finally champion again! That’s two out of three, will Lainey complete the set? What is Zaria to do now that she’s failed her friend again?
Shiloh Hill speaks.
“Alright, Shiloh Hill here. And here’s the download. So a little bit about my past. I’ve pretty much been a wrestling fan my whole life. I remember when I was six years old, my dad would pretend to be The Undertaker, I would be Stone Cold Steve Austin. One time, I jumped off the couch to try and Lou Thesz Press him, and I punched him so hard in the face, I broke his nose. I think about that story all the time, because my dad actually passed away before my senior year at Stanford. And he had given me this WrestleMania shirt. And it was my favorite shirt, it reminded me of him, so I wore it to the stadium every game that year.
“And that was actually one of the things that got me noticed by WWE. I feel like my dad kinda lives on through me, because he taught me that it was okay to try new things. Because of him, I’ve worked every job from being a logger to doing construction to working in a slaughterhouse, that was fun. I worked in a hotel.” Shiloh takes out his false tooth Invisalign to smile and say, “Can I help you with your luggage, sir?” Shiloh says he’s been software developer, in government, and oh yeah, his false tooth! This tooth got knocked out in training right as he got started here, and he remembers medical staff panicking, asking if he was okay.
Shiloh said yeah, he just wanted to look in a mirror. And as soon as he did, he couldn’t stop smiling. This adds so much. His mom called him to get the tooth fixed, said he looked hideous, and he said, “Mom, do you see how tough I look right now?” It reminds him of his friends in the woods. Oh, he forgot his bolt cutters. He’s gotta go, see you soon. Well, eccentric as he is, will Shiloh bring that toughness right to the superstars of NXT?
John Cena speaks.
“As my in-ring career winds down, I remain steadfast in my goal to leave this business better than I found it. The future of WWE is what NXT is all about. That’s why I asked Ava, the NXT General Manager, for the privilege of selecting the participants of this year’s Iron Survivor Challenge. This unique match has the ability to launch superstars’ careers to the next level. And when you talk the future of this business, no two names come to mind faster than Je’Von Evans, and Leon Slater from TNA. A pair of 21-year-olds who are way ahead of their time. Fun to watch, and I look for big things on the road ahead.
“Next spot goes to the man who is the definition of self-made superstar.” Cena lets the clips say his name for him, it’s Joe Hendry! “Right on! He built his name from the ground up, and made himself impossible to ignore. I believe in Joe Hendry.” Cena even does the turn! Cena says the fourth selection is the college football captain from Oregon State University, who has now embraced his transition into the WWE. He became a dominant force with DarkState, and Dion Lennox has earned an opportunity to show what he’s got. Then the last spot will be given to the winner of tonight’s main event!
Trick Williams and Myles Borne are both deserving in their own right, so they will now battle it out to earn that incredible opportunity. Therefore, the main event is one you can’t miss! Cena’s time is up, their time is now, who makes the most of it?
Izzi Dame speaks.
“Oh, Tatum. Don’t act like you didn’t hear my warnings loud and clear. I told you not every voice in your head was worth listening to, and yet you still followed them. And ultimately, it led straight to your downfall. And I’m sure gonna sit there and cry about it like you always do. But don’t worry, I’ll explain everything next week. And remember, Tatum: It Iz What It Iz.” The dastardly Dame puts the blame on Tatum, but what will Tatum do in response?

TNA Chairman, Carlos Silva, is here in person to put the belt on Lee, and this title is officially coming home to Impact! Lee’s long journey finally reaches the mountaintop, but now how much harder will she fight to stay on top?
Fatal Influence regroups backstage.
Jacy Jayne is very happy to see her and Fallon both have belts. How does it feel to be champion once again? Fallon says pretty damn good. But they aren’t done, are they? Nope. Two down, one to go. Lainey, you’re up next, and this is the moment you’ve been waiting for. Go out there and take that Evolve Women’s Championship from Kendal Grey so that they can walk out of NYC all as champions! But then Ava Raine walks in, ruining Jacy’s good mood. Ava does congratulate Jacy and Fallon on their championship victories. But… Fatal Influence did interfere in both Jacy’s match last week and Fallon’s match like, 20 minutes ago, so…
If Lainey wants to be Evolve Women’s Champion, she has to figure it out on her own. Jacy & Fallon are now banned from ringside. What?! Ava walks out, Fatal Influence protests and complains, but it’s their own fault it’s come to this. Can the Southern Charm survive her first singles title match by herself? Or will she get lost in the Grey Area?
Sit-down interview with Ricky Saints.
Sarah Schreiber thanks The Absolute NXT Champion for taking this time. Now, Oba Femi shocked the NXT Universe with his recent return, so what does it mean to Ricky for them to have a rematch for the NXT Championship? Ricky says it means all eyes are on him. Every critic, every fan, every camera, every person out there who is doubting, “How long is Ricky Saints gonna be NXT Champion?” That is a lot of pressure that sits on his chest, much heavier than the title, no less. And that is what Ricky has to deal with. Last week, he was confident. This week, Ricky admits he is starting to question himself a little bit.
Sarah brings up that Ricky still beat Oba at No Mercy. What’s the difference here? Ricky says he replays that moment constantly, over and over, thinking, “Was that just a moment that just lined up perfectly for me?” Was it luck of the draw? And that is hard to deal with in itself. Ricky has a lot of people asking him how he’ll do it again, and he doesn’t know, it’s not like he has the answer in his back pocket. He really doesn’t know. And that is hard, as well, having to give an answer like that. Ricky also just asks himself if he’s just a “deviation” on Oba’s title reign. Will we just get back on that highway after this little detour?
Ricky says that is hard to deal with. When that little voice sits right on your shoulder and you hear it all the time. Ricky is doing his best to quiet that down. So then, what is he saying to himself, walking into Deadline, dealing with the doubt? Ricky says that he does wonder if all the work and the years he has grinded, this entire journey he’s been on, if he can’t beat Oba again, it’ll all be for naught. That is what plays in his head. But the other thing that pops up a lot, with an even bigger voice, is the pressure. “Pressure is my ally. You know what I do with pressure? I take it head on. Yes, it sucks for me, and yes, it doesn’t feel good.
“But it’s something that I’m able to use to my benefit if I really think about. If all of the criticism that I’m receiving, and all of the doubt and naysayers and everyone who starts to think, ‘Hey, Ricky just ain’t it.’ If I don’t beat Oba Femi, then who can? Right? But I can. Because I’m not going to let my journey just fall to the way side because of this one man that’s in my way. The impossible is possible when it comes to Absolute Ricky Saints, and I am going to prove that to each and every single voice out there. The ones that are in here, even the ones out there. Why? Because I am Ricky Saints, Sarah, THE NXT Champion.”
Sarah thanks Ricky again, and wishes him good luck at Deadline. Ricky thanks her back, but will that pressure on him break him? Or will it make him into a diamond?

It was chaotic at ringside, but Kendal kept her cool to keep the gold! Fatal Influence is NOT dripping with gold, how will they get over this embarrassment? And as for Kendal, she knows Chantel Monroe is waiting when Evolve returns to action next week, will the Grey Area even overshadow the Reflection of Perfection?
DarkState talks backstage.
The team is all pumped up after John Cena named Dion Lennox for the Men’s Iron Survivor. Cena said Dion’s the next big thing around here, and Cena’s right! As much as Dion loves being NXT Tag Team Champion, it is time to get that singles gold to DarkState. They’ll run everything around here! And hey, don’t worry. That title is still in the family, and Dion about to go crazy! No matter if it is all four, three, two, or one, because when DarkState strikes, ain’t nobody safe! Now, let’s go get eyes on Trick VS Myles. The four head out, will they take notes on who joins the field of five?
John Cena speaks, again.
“The NXT Women’s Division is overflowing with incredible talent, and these five superstars I’ve chosen to participate in this year’s Iron Survivor Challenge are a tremendous representation of that. Sol Ruca is the first name when it comes to athleticism and innovation. Very exciting to see what she can do. Someone who’s always believed in her ability, every time we’ve spoken personally, she has one question: ‘When can I get my shot?’ Lola Vice, your time has come. The next superstar calls herself a Standout. And now, Kelani Jordan has the opportunity to prove that.
“I admire strength, because it takes time, discipline, and the ability to overcome failure. Those are all necessary traits to succeed as a Superstar. All qualities Jordynne Grace has. The final selection is an amateur standout, who not only found her footing, but has all the tools to accomplish anything she puts her mind to in the WWE: The Evolve Women’s Champion, Kendal Grey. I am truly excited to see this match. Ladies, good luck.” A truly star-studded field, but who will be the one aimed right at Jacy Jayne and the NXT Women’s Championship?
Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge Qualifier: Trick Williams VS Myles Borne!
Just as John Cena said, the man who wins tonight’s main event will truly earn their spot at Deadline! Will Trick get back on track towards becoming THREE-TIME NXT Champion? Or will Myles prove he was born for this?
The bell rings and Trick runs up to LARIAT Myles right down! The fans are torn but Trick stomps Myles and talks trash. To be fair, Myles attacked Trick from behind with a chair, so Trick’s a bit pissed. Trick whips, but Myles sunset flips! TWO, and Myles headlocks. Trick powers up, powers out, but Myles whips him to then hurdle and DROPKICK! Cover, TWO! Myles storms up on Trick, whips him, but Trick THROWS Myles down! The fans rally for “Baby Orton!” but Trick drags Myles up. Trick ROCKS Myles, talks trash, “This is MY house!” Trick ROCKS Myles again and Myles goes to ropes. Trick storms up, and we see Je’Von, Leon, and Joe Hendry watching backstage.
Trick facelocks to grind Myles down, but Myles endures and powers up! The fans rally as Myles lifts, but Trick thrashes the hold! Trick CLUBS Myles, then suplexes, TWO! The fans rally as Myles survives, but Trick pie faces him! Trick says Myles doesn’t belong, but the fans chant, “Whoop Dat Trick!” Trick BACKHANDS Myles, then back suplexes, but Myles lands out! BORNE AGAIN!! Cover, TWO!! Trick survives and bails out! Myles is a bit stunned, but he does have the advantage now, and NXT goes to break.
NXT returns and Trick HAMMERS away on Myles! The fans are torn but Trick drags Myles up. Trick whips Myles to then FLAPJACK! Cover, TWO! Myles stays in this but Trick looms over him. The fans rally, Trick stands Myles up to whip him to the corner. Trick storms up on Myles, CHOPS him, and fans “WOO~!” Myles flounders along ropes, Trick stands him up, and he CHOPS again! Myles is stinging as he falls to the mat, and fans want that “One More Time!” Trick drags Myles up, whips him to the corner, then hushes everyone. But Myles avoids the chop to UPPERCUT again and again! But Trick throat chops!
The ref reprimands, but Trick scoops Myles to SLAM him! Trick looms over Myles as Myles writhes, and the fans rally up. Trick stands Myles up, reels him in, but Myles turns suplex into cradle, TWO! Trick runs up, Myles avoids the kick to roll up again, TWO! Myles slips around, but Trick fights off the crucifix! Trick powers up to have the fireman’s carry, ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENT?! Trick tells Myles to get up, and he takes aim from the corner. TRICK- SNAP POWERSLAM! Cover, TWO! Trick survives but the fans fire up for “BABY ORTON!” Myles and Trick stand, and Myles fires counter punches!
Myles ROCKS Trick again and again, then whips, to then LARIAT! And LARIAT! And then duck to DROPKICK! Myles has Trick again, BIG atomic drop, then a dragon sleeper, EYE OF THE HURRICANE! Cover, TWO! Trick survives and Myles grows frustrated, but the fans chant “R K O! R K O!” Myles drags Trick up, UPPERCUTS again, and again, and again! Myles hooks the arms but Trick stops the backslide. Trick flings Myles over, clinches, BOOKEND! The fans are torn but Trick stomps away on Myles. Trick then cartwheels to YANK Myles up, but Myles clinches! Trick fights the hold to arm-drag free! EDDY GORDO KICK!
Myles wobbles, but he ROLLING ELOBWS! Trick rebounds to BOOT Myles! Myles ducks the roundhouse, both men jump DOUBLE NECKBREAKERS!! They BOTH wanted the RKO and it ended up like this, but the fans are loving it! NYC cheers for “N X T! N X T!” Trick rises, Myles KNEES him, then runs, but into a POP-UP UPPERCUT! Trick fires up, Myles stands, but he ducks the leg lariat! GERMAN SUPLEX! Trick rises, Myles storms up, BORNE- NO, Trick holds ropes! No Zigzag here, and Trick DUMPS Myles out! Trick hurries and aims, CYCLONE KICK! Myles flounders, Trick aims again! Trick runs up, but only gets steel steps!
The fans fire up as Myles then hits BORNE AGAIN to the floor! Myles hurries to get Trick in the ring, aims again, BORNE AGAIN!! Cover, MYLES WINS!!
Winner: Myles Borne, by pinfall (advances to NXT Deadline)
The third time is the charm, and Myles hit the mark with that one! Now he is moving on to Deadline, will Myles go the distance in the most grueling match in NXT? Or will- WAIT! DarkState appears at ringside! They were watching, and now they know Myles is their target! The fans boo as Dion, Osiris, Cutler & Saquon rush the ring! But wait! Je’Von, Leon & Hendry back Myles up! These four stand their ground and DarkState stays back. Will DarkState find out it won’t be so easy to play the numbers game this time around? Or can they still tip the scales in Dion’s favor?
My Thoughts:
A very good second night for Gold Rush, but you could just feel how it was prerecorded. With that, I was already spoiled on the TNA Knockouts World Championship Triple Threat result, but it was still an awesome match, and that was a great moment for Lei Ying Lee, formerly Xia Li. She could’ve been great in NXT and WWE if given a chance, but becoming TNA Knockouts World Champion is great for her. Then, Jordynne Grace and Kelani Jordan each being choices for the Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge were obvious given the loss, but they’ll be great parts of that match, as are Sol and Lola. Kendal Grey is the real surprise choice there, they really like her, huh?
As such, I was right Kendal would retain her title against Lainey, but they did a great job with all the overbooking. Charlie making his return by saving Wren from her fall was fun, they’re definitely still playing up this coy romance between them. And Lainey was of course not winning, she isn’t going “down” to Evolve just to give Fatal Influence all gold. Great Speed match from Zaria VS Fallon and good stuff with how Sol’s bad mood played into it. Ethan Page getting in Sol’s head was an interesting detail to it, but it also made for a good interaction between Ethan and Myles to tease a possible North American Championship feud in the future.
Jackson Drake retaining his title was a little disappointing to me personally, but also a bit expected given the plans on Evolve are making it feel like Tate Wilder is gonna be a big name and will take that title at some point. Good promo from Izzi, I knew she’d blame Tatum and say “It Iz What It Iz,” it is inherent that Heels be hypocritical and see things only from their perspective, because uh duh, Izzi & The Culling are the ones who chose when and where Tatum would fail, Tatum had a chance against Jacy if they’d just let her keep going. I fully expect Tatum to just go wild on Izzi and that creates a title match for Deadline.
Trick VS Myles being main event was confusing until John Cena gave his Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge participants and put the last spot on the line. Really should’ve had Cena’s choices open the show, or at least be the first promo of them all so that it would make it all make sense. Great main event, and I’m actually rather surprised Myles won. DarkState of course went out after Myles given Dion was named to the Iron Survivor, though I honestly thought Cena could’ve named Saquon instead. And with the others rushing out there, you can bet the go home has DarkState VS Myles, Hendry, Leon & Je’Von in an 8 Man Tag.
My Score: 8.8/10

Coverage
Andrew’s TNA iMPACT! Results & Match Ratings: 12.4.2025
Final Resolution is tomorrow, there haven’t been a lot of episodes to establish things. But invasion warfare writes itself at least.
Well if you didn’t hear that TNA will be moving to AMC instead of AXS TV, they did a whole video package for the first 5 minutes of the show with a cover of Phil Collins’ In The Air Tonight. They’re making it feel like a big deal, which is honestly great and is truly pretty big. AMC is in twice as many homes as AXS TV, so this is their first upgrade since moving from Fox Sportsnet to Spike TV in 2005.
Let’s hope they use all of this downtime with a month off after Bound For Glory, Thanksgiving was a clip show and the Turkey Suit match, and they keep saying tomorrow’s Final Resolution is the end of their year, so they may just do their usual clip show end of year too. So TNA needs to come out swinging next year with three months of nothing and questionable Russo-esque decisions.
More Rascalz, that’s how we can start AMC off strong, Golden Treehouse, give them all the titles.

Ratings:
- Brooks Jensen vs Home Town Man: Jensen wins via Rolling Kick – ** 1/2
- Dani Luna vs Xia Brookside: Xia wins via Small Package – ** 3/4
- Robert Stone vs Mike Santana: Mike wins via Spin the Block – SQUASH
- Mustafa Ali vs Trey Miguel: Ali wins via Sharpshooter – ***
- Steve Maclin, Cedric Alexander, Hardy Boyz vs Tyrek, Tyson, Stacks & Lexis King: Lexis wins via Cradle – ***
Results:
Brooks Jensen vs Home Town Man
HTM is actually…out wresting Brooks early. Brooks tries to come out using his size and youth, but Cody-erhm-HTM has counters for everything culminating in a Crossbody for two. Hometown goes for the Sliced Bread but it’s too early and Lexis King on the outside causes enough issues to turn the tide. Brooks starts throwing HTM around, Uppercuts, Stomps, Knees to the back of the head…but Brooks misses a knee! Homie tries to fire and go for a slam but falls over because Brooks is too big. Brooks goes for the Bear Hug submission as Hometown tries to plead to the crowd. Homie claps bells, rope runs a few times into Brooks, Brooks stays up, so a little rope-a-dope into a Flying Lariat and then a Power Slam! Hometown Elbow, into Hometown Slice…but Lexis hits the apron and Homie hits the Dive on Pillman Jr. Lexis grabs Homie to slow the momentum, Homie gets caught with a really slow and ugly Capo Kick…but…effective. 1-2-3, NXT gets a win with cheating.
IInspiration comes out to remind people that the Knockouts Tags are still sadly a title and they’re the champions. Tessa and Victoria Crawford interrupt the goofy ahh promo, Tessa is fantastically snarky…their Mila newbie from Turning Point blind sides Cassie and Jessie, so it looks like Tessa may have the makings of a faction. But as they taunt, the IInspiration gets up since Victoria and Mila are kinda joke characters right now. So Tessa bails as Vix and Mila get rekt. Honestly, I’d like to see Vix and Tessa win the title. Tessa is too good to be without gold this long, she’s made her apologies, giving her the Tag belts is a good softball to see how crowds react. Plus Tessa looks like a million bucks, so you want her on AMC.
Dani Luna vs Xia Brookside
My heart is conflicted. I love Dani Dumptruck, but I have no desire to see her beat Lei Ying Lee for the title. The Xia mirror match at least has the fun story of teammates colliding, which doesn’t need a build and Brookside can lose with no real damage.
Dani just tosses Xia off a few times. The power advantage is all in favor of Dani Dumptruck. Xia does manage to use the ropes to help take down Dani with a Headlock, but Dani powers out eventually. This definitely builds like a World of Sport match, which yes, they’re both British, but this is slow, deliberate and Dani is just tearing apart Xia with Knee Bars, Arm Captures, Stomps and Power moves. Back from the commercial Dani is playing wall ball with Xia Brookside as the ball. Obviously we’re waiting for the underdog fire from Xia, but you just have to wonder if it’ll be enough to win, or just make it more competitive. She’s selling well with her body language and facials as she starts the comeback with Forearms, a stiff one and two funny Lariats into a Satellite Facebuster.
Charging Elbow into the corner, Broken Wings, and Xia hits the Crossbody for two and Xia is selling the injured limbs, but had a nice burst of throwing it all out there. Dani with a power out Snapmare, tries something but Xia locks in the Octopus Hold! Dani tosses her off but eats a Russian Leg Sweep and then Xia locks in an Armbar. Dani stands and turns it into a Buckle Bomb, rope assisted Blue Thunder Bomb…and only two. Dani starts hunting for chairs and chains, but Indi Hartwell comes down, doesn’t see Indi attack Dani, so Xia with the Small Package for the win.
While I’m glad we get the Xia mirror match, I don’t want to see Dani and Indi again unless they have Dani finally get over. No reason to try to set up Dani as this brute and have her lose every time it matters.
Robert Stone vs Mike Santana
Stone attacks Mike as he’s coming out of the crowd, and he takes the advantage until he telegraphs a Back Body Drop, eats a kick and then Spin the Block levels Robbie E in no time.

Mustafa Ali vs Trey Miguel
Trey was playing with Ali early, counters, ducking, playing around avoiding offense. But Ali finally clocks him, and the pace slows down but Trey snaps back with a Back Elbow, catches Ali in the Up and Over Crucifix Bomb. Two count, Mustafa powders, Trey tries to chase, but Mustafa catches him sliding through the post into a DDT on the floor. Ali lands a few shots, Trey tries something but Ali catches him into a Stalling Brainbuster…stalling for what feels like 30 seconds before dropping Trey down. Rolling Neckbreaker is countered by a Lionsault from Trey. Trey kicks off Ali with a lift and Tiger Wall Run, into a Dropkick. Ali tries to bounce with it and come back at him but a Frankensteiner from Trey keeps Ali on the back foot. Bunch of counter gymnastics next, Ali is on the outside, Trey wands the dive and does the Rey Mysterio Sliding DDT to the floor. Trey throws in Ali, Meteora, but only a two count. I forgot that wasn’t Trey’s finish anymore since he hasn’t had a solo match in a minute.
Some acrobatic assist crap into a Springboard Destroyer, Ali manages to Matrix out at two. Trey tries the Meteora again and misses, so Ali locks in the Sharpshooter and Trey taps. It was alright, but overly cooperative Wuxia wrestling is lame. I’ll play Where Winds Meet or watch a Jet Li movie if I want to watch cool spots for the sake of it.
Steve Maclin, Cedric Alexander, Hardy Boyz vs Tyrek, Tyson, Stacks & Lexis King
Maclin and Alexander blindside NXT while the Hardyz enter alone. So TNA with some payback on the sneak attack side, Maclin Kitchen Sink on Stacks, Maclin tosses Lexis to Cedric and Ced snaps off a German. TNA is in full control early on. Maclin tags out to Matt, Arm Wringers and then the Hardy combination after Matt tags in Jeff. Hardys hit Poetry…no Lexis gets in the way and breaks up the poetry, all 8 are in, 3 NXT members are thrown out, Stacks is left and he’s getting bounced around by all four TNA wrestlers until they just Double Hip Toss him into the pile of waiting imbeciles because of course we need that spot. Announce team does remind us that Stacks is Arianna’s fiance, so thus further leading to her being the mole in the company.
Back from the commercial, oh look NXT is winning. Commercial break 101 where the momentum is completely shifted and we don’t actually get to see it. Stacks is wearing out Cedric, but they start trading blows until an errant kick from Stacks forces him to eat a Dragon Screw. Simultaneous tag, Lexis and Maclin, Maclin rocks Lexis, Vader Hammer, Elbow to the back of the skill, Hip Attack, Caught in the Crosshairs, but Lexis sits up. Maclin wipes out all of the NXT guys who try to interfere, but Lexis with a Wrecking Ball Dropkick to take control. Now Maclin is in the NXT corner getting cut off and worked over.
Stacks and Lexis over extend. Missed Cannonball, Maclin chucks Lexis over the top, Double Lariat down spot. Another simultaneous tag Jeff and Lexis, classic Jeff offense with an addition of an Apron Splash on the entire NXT squad on the outside. Jeff looks for Swanton, but Stacks says no and Lexis crotches Jeff. Cedric gets involved and we reach the signature spam moment of this multiman imbecile matches.
Lexis Superkicks Matt, but the Hardys hit the Plot Twist on Lexis! Stacks breaks up the pin and we’re still going on. Stacks tags himself in and attacks Jeff but gets crotched. Matt and Jeff hit a Tree of Woetry in Motion. Maclin does a Jeff Hardy dance before Caught in the Crosshairs, Cedric dives on the mass of humanity outside…but Lexis hits Maclin with the cane in the chaos, and Maclin eats the pinfall.
Overall Score: 5/10
This was a very mediocre episode. I’ll say they got the outcome of Dani and Xia correct, but the way they got there is lame. Indi’s facial expressions are awful, so her trying to be angry looks more constipated. The crowd loves Indi and in shorter matches she was fine, but when expected to control or emote a story, she is completely worthless. Tessa with her little Disciplinary Committee is amusing since she’s the only legit one in the group. The swerve to the NXT angle is looking more and more like the obvious linchpin of Arianna turning heel.
All in all, the show was inoffensive, but with the inconsistent filming and what feels like throw together PLEs last few months, I can’t really care when you can tell there’s not much creative energy utilized. At least we didn’t have to sit through an awful “Mr. Elegance” segment. But yeah I’m not going to expect any real effort until the first AMC episode, because they’re just coasting on a bad schedule, missed episodes and no real main event scene.

Komander gets his mask back, puts up his dukes, but Bandido helps Komander to his feet. The fans cheer them both on, but then Don Callis is on the mic! “Senoras y senores! In the immortal words of Mil Mascaras, donde esta me pantalones blancooooooo?”
The fans boo Callis insulting a legend, but Callis continues to say, “From the great country of Mexico y La Familia de Don Callis, ariba la familia, ariba Hechiceroooooooooooooo~!” And as such, The Alchemist of Lucha ATTACKS FROM THE CROWD SIDE! SHOTGUN on Bandido, then LFI mugs Komander! Hechi bumps Bandido off buckles, Mortos SNATCHES Komander’s mask again, and Hechi hits Bandido with the SWINGING BACKBREAKER! But then Hechi snatches the title from Mortos! Hechi is not about to let Mortos claim he’ll win tomorrow night. They tug-o-war on the belt, Sammy joins in, and then Sammy holds up the belt! The fans boo, but even Mortos disagrees. Family and friendships aside, these three are going to fight over this belt! Sammy tells them both to just put the belt down and worry about this on Friday. The fans chant, “Sammy Sucks! Sammy Sucks!” but could Final Battle be the end of Bandido’s reign?
Six Man Tag: Dalton Castle & The Outrunners VS Jake Omen, Ashton Adonis & Josh Crane!
While The Peacock & The Youngest Men Alive want to be strong in the Trios Division, their run in with The Demand has given Castle a chance at the AEW National Championship! Will Truth Magnum & Turbo Floyd help Castle enter Final Battle with major momentum? Or will they regret overlooking Mr. International, Mr. Astonishing & The Luckiest Man In The Building?
The trios sort out and Truth starts against Omen. They tie up, Omen headlocks, but the fans rally as Truth powers up and out. Omen RUNS Truth over, then mocks the flex! Omen says shove it, then runs, but Truth drops down, hurdles over, and tells Omen to stop! And check out the gun show! The fans cheer Truth’s flexing, and he hits Omen with an atomic drop! And a DROPKICK! And then an arm-drag! Omen scrambles, tags Crane, but Truth arm-drags Crane down! Wrench and tag to Turbo, and the fans rally up! Turbo wrenches, tags Truth back in, whip and BODY BLOW to a KNEE LIFT, then a BIG back suplex!
Truth tags Castle, Castle SPLASHES DOWN! The fans cheer as Castle joins in with the flexing. Omen & Adonis run up, but The Outrunners HIP TOSS them away! Castle gut wrenches Crane and deadlifts him up! The fans fire up and Turbo tags in! Castle THROWS Crane, Turbo tags Truth, and the Outrunners handoff the wristlock. But Crane pulls hair, puts Truth in the corner, then CHOPS! Tag to Omen, he CHOPS! Tag to Adonis, he CHOPS! Tag back to Omen, he and Adonis double whip, but Turbo sneaks a tag! Truth dodges to CHOP and CHOP and CHOP! Crane runs up, but Turbo ROCKS him! The Outrunners pinball Crane, then scoop SLAM!
Crane flounders away, Truth points to their opponents in the corners. Truth & Turbo each run to SPLASH Omen & Adonis! Then they go corner to corner to SPLASH Adonis & Omen! Then they hit the BULLDOG LARIAT COMBO! The fans fire up wth Turbo but Omen manages to tag Crane! Crane SLAPS Turbo, but the fans tell Crane he messed up. Castle dodges, The Outrunners DUMP those two out! Then they get Crane up! Whip and scoop, Castle SLAMS Crane down! The Outrunners raise their hands, the fans fire up, and… “TURBO FLOYD! YOU SONOVAB*TCH!” Handshake and DOUBLE ELBOW DROP! The fans cheer as then Castle Alabama Lifts! They all spin for BANGARANG!! Cover, Castle & The Outrunners win!
Winners: Dalton Castle & The Outrunners, by pinfall
The Peacock says this is why he is fit to be a National Champion! Castle is running hot, but wait! The Demand is here! Ricochet swaggers on out, and the Gates of Agony attack from behind! It’s like a replay of the last time! The fans boo as Kaun whips Truth hard into railing, and then Liona whips Turbo hard into railing! Ricochet mockingly asks what happened, then he steps into the ring with Castle. Castle fights off the Gates, Ricochet backs off, and the 2v1 gets the better of Castle! Ricochet then BELT SHOTS Castle to top it off! Ricochet backs up to take aim, the Gates set Castle up, SPIRIT GUN!!
The fans boo even harder, but The Demand stands tall over Castle. Will The One & Only AEW National Champion stay the AEW National Champion? Or is he the one underestimating this former ROH World Champion?
Queen Aminata talks with Deonna Purrazzo backstage.
And it is clear by the neck brace what this is about. Aminata says she requested this time. After speaking with Tony Khan and the doctors… She didn’t want to end her tournament run this way, but unfortunately, she is not medically cleared to wrestle. They both wanted to wrestle each other, but Aminata’s neck is not something she can gamble with. That said, Aminata forfeits, and Tony Khan has granted Deonna a bye in the tournament. Aminata wishes Deonna luck, and Deonna thanks her. Deonna says this isn’t how she wanted to win like this, either. She has always prided herself on being a fighter, and she wanted to fight Aminata for that finals spot.
But it doesn’t matter if it is Billie or Yuka, Deonna will win and become the first-ever ROH Women’s Pure Champion, And when Aminata is cleared, while Deonna is champion, she’ll be waiting for her. Deonna then tells Billie and Yuka that it doesn’t matter who wins tonight, because tomorrow, ROH is about to become fluent in Purrazzo again. The Virtuosa sends her ultimatum, but will she still prove herself the best technical wrestler in the Women’s Division?
Mercedes Mone VS Lovely Miss Larkan!
The CEO did NOT take lightly to Red Velvet accusing her of ducking and dodging. #UltiMone is here to make a point, but will THE Undisputed ROH Women’s World TV Champion be spotless going into Final Battle? Or will her Money Train be derailed by The Trauma Train?
Larkan is way too excited for The Code of Honor, but Mone still shakes her hand. The bell rings, and Mone THROWS Larkan down by her hair! The ref reprimands and the fans are torn, but Mone does her CEO dance. Mone drags Larkan up, says this is HER show, but Larkan kicks low! And UP KICKS! Then then pumps up, only for Mone to block the kick! Mone KNEES Larkan down! Then brings her around, BACKSTABBER into STATEMENT MAKER!! Larkan TAPS, Mone wins!
Winner: Mercedes Mone, by submission
The champ doesn’t get paid by the hour, so she makes quick work of Larkan. She tells Red Velvet to keep crying, because Final Battle will be her last battle! Will Mone still hold onto the ROH Women’s World TV Championship? Or is #ThirteenBeltsMone about to have some bad luck?
ROH Women’s Pure Championship Semifinal: Billie Starkz VS Yuka Sakazaki!
With Queen Aminata’s withdrawal, everyone knows who the winner of this match will face at Final Battle. But will Minion 400,237 & 3/4ths look to enter her second-ever inaugural championship match? Or will the Wrestling Magical Girl put a spell on Billie and head for the gold?
The Code of Honor is upheld, the bell rings, and we are on the clock. The fans rally as the two circle, feel things out, and Billie calls for the Test of Strength. But then she teases Yuka with constantly switching the hands! The fans boo but Billie smirks while Yuka pouts. Billie also teases Yuka for her height and Yuka huffs ‘n’ puffs. They circle, tie up collar ‘n’ elbow, and they go around. Yuka powers Billie to the corner, Billie powers Yuka back, and Billie waistlocks. Yuka fights, they go to ropes, and the ref counts. Billie lets go, and that counts as Yuka’s first. But Yuka kicks Billie low! Yuka snapmares Billie, shifts around, body scissor and ROLLING CRADLE!
The fans fire up as they go around and around and around, then finally stop on the cover, TWO! The fans cheer while Yuka rises up. Yuka ducks ‘n’ dodges, then RANAS! Billie tumbles out of the ring and the fans fire up! Yuka watches Billie stumble around the outside, and she hits the low-slingshot, only for Billie to dodge the lariat! Billie ROCKS Yuka, goes for the post, but Yuka stops herself! Yuka ROCKS Billie, then POSTS her! The fans fire up with Yuka and she brings Billie up. Yuka puts Billie in the ring, then springboards, but Billie SUPERKICKS her first! Billie then has the SLEEPER on the ropes! The fans boo, the ref counts, Billie stops at 4.
The ref calls that a neutral break, and Billie drags Yuka in. Billie THROWS Yuka down by her hair, stomps away on her, then glares at the ref. Billie drags Yuka back up, ROCKS her with a forearm, then CHOPS! Billie whips Yuka corner to corner, then runs up to LARIAT! And DDT! Billie grins off that stiff impact and she covers, TWO! Yuka survives and Billie is frustrated already. Billie drags Yuka up, Yuka ROCKS Billie! And fires more shots! Yuka CLUBS Billie as we’re four minutes in, and Yuka suplexes. Billie blocks it, Yuka CLUBS Billie again, then puts her against ropes. The ref counts, Yuka stops, that is Billie’s first!
But then Billie ROCKS Yuka with a closed fist! The ref issues that first warning, but Billie fires forearm shots! Billie snapmares Yuka into a half nelson, but the fans rally behind Yuka. Billie traps an arm, and has a modified crossface. Yuka endures, fights up, and fires body shots. Yuka snapmares and rolls to BASEMENT KICK! Yuka runs, SLIDING FOREARM! Cover, TWO! Billie stays in this but Yuka stays on her. Yuka suplexes, but Billie blocks! Billie wrenches out, full nelsons, DRAGON SUPLEX! Bridging cover, TWO!! Yuka survives, but Billie is back to the half nelson! Yuka has the ROPEBREAK! Billie lets go, but that is Yuka’s second!
Billie says to figure this out faster, ref! She goes to suplex again, but Yuka blocks it! Yuka fires body shots and wrenches out, to ROCK Billie! And SUPERKICK! And then ROLLING ELBOW! Billie wobbles, Yuka brings her around, scoop and SNOWPLOW DRIVER! The fans fire up, Yuka covers, TWO!! Billie survives, but Yuka has a leg! ANKLE LOCK! Billie endures, reaches out, but Yuka steps over! Yuka puts a lot of pressure on the leg, but Billie shakes her head! Billie scratches and claws her way forward, reaches out, and has the ROPEBREAK! Yuka lets go, that is Billie’s second, and we’re past seven minutes in.
Yuka goes up the corner, but Billie hurries to ROCK her with a forearm! And ROCKET LAUNCHER! Billie goes up, up, and SWANTON- FLOP!! Yuka avoids disaster to go up top herself! DIVING BODY PRESS!! Cover, TWO?!? Billie survives and even shocks herself! Yuka hurries to the apron, goes up the ropes, but Billie trips her up! And she reels Yuka in for a suplex! Yuka fights it, but Billie goes again! GHOST BUSTER!! The fans fire up as Billie shrieks, and now she has the leg! Billie pulls on the leg, turns Yuka, but Yuka kicks and kicks and kicks! Billie falls, but she holds onto the foot! She makes it a HEEL HOOK!!
Yuka endures, grabs Billie’s leg, ANKLE LOCK!! The fans fire up while both women endure and put the pressure on the other! They both move around, trying to find a point of leverage! Then they start firing forearms! The fans rally, Billie goes back to the HEEL HOOK!! Yuka grabs the rope, but so does Billie?! That’s a DOUBLE ROPEBREAK, and now no one is safe! We’re at the ten minute mark, one of the longest Pure Rules matches in the Women’s Division to date! Yuka and Billie rise up, the fans rally and duel, and Yuka fires a forearm! Billie fires back! Yuka fires another forearm, but Billie fires back! The fans are getting louder as the shots keep going!
Yuka fire a flurry, but Billie KNEES low! Billie runs, but Yuka DROPKICKS the leg out! Yuka runs, but Billie dodges the lariat! Billie runs back up to BOOT! Yuka rebounds to ROLLING ELBOW! Billie rebounds to HEEL KICK! Yuka ROCKS Billie, ROCKS her again, and then runs up! Billie dodges, table tops Yuka, and high stack, WITH ROPES! BILLIE WINS!!
Winner: Billie Starkz, by pinfall (advances to the finals)
At 10 minutes and 43 seconds, Billie bends the Pure Rules to her advantage and seals the deal! Billie and Deonna will meet in the championship match, but will Billie make history again by becoming the inaugural ROH Women’s Pure Champion? Or will that honor belong to the Virtuosa?
My Thoughts:
A very good episode for ROH, especially as part two of the go-home. Mone of course won her match, but I will say Larkan is good at this goofy, over the top kind of character selling Mone’s offense. Mone could certainly win at Final Battle to keep the Women’s TV title, but it’d be a great start to the larger story of #UltiMone falling apart if Red Velvet took this title back and basically started where she left off before her injury. Mortos VS Komander was great stuff, but of course Sammy had a part to play. All that was a very good brawl to send us to Survival of the Fittest, but I feel like now this means Bandido finds a way to retain. Or Blake Christian wins because he wasn’t anywhere near this.
I figured Castle & The Outrunners, which Castle himself might be trying to name the (Pea)cockrunners, would win their match, but that whole segment was so The Demand could attack again. The go-home math would say Ricochet actually loses, but that can’t be, right? He just got the belt, this is the first defense, and it’s on an ROH PPV, not an AEW event. Though, how hilarious would it be if Ricochet’s arrogance cost him and he got embarrassed like that? Again, Castle is a legit wrestler and hit it big in ROH in the past, this would be a great way to elevate Castle again.
A shame about Aminata, but with her being out of Blood & Guts, it was also pretty clear she wasn’t going to be 100% by the time her tournament match came up. Not to harp on the horribly slow pacing of this tournament by TK, but if they’d gotten things going, maybe we would’ve gotten Aminata VS Deonna before the neck injury. Though, perhaps that injury was inevitable, so it might’ve been a wash. Billie VS Yuka was great stuff, pushing the time limit and the ropebreak limit much further than even some Men’s Pure Rules matches do these days. Great win for Billie with a similar loophole to what we’ve seen Lee Moriarty use, Deonna VS Billie will be great stuff.
My Score: 8.7/10
