Izzi Dame w/ Shawn Spears VS Lola Vice!

The Culling treated Tatum Paxley so cruelly, and that doesn’t sit right with the Mayor of Vice City! Will Lola make sure Izzi has a less-than-merry Christmas? Or will even Lola have to accept It Iz What It Iz?

The bell rings and Izzi RAMS Lola into a corner! Izzi RAMS Lola again and again while the ref reprimands and the fans boo. Izzi lifts Lola, Lola sunset flips it, TWO! Lola fires hands and KNEES on Izzi to put her against the ropes! The fans fire up but the ref counts. Lola backs off, Izzi SHOVES her, but Lola dodges a boot! Izzi still LARIATS Lola on the return! The fans boo Izzi but she storms up on Lola. Izzi drags Lola around, but Lola drags Izzi down into a TRIANGLE HOLD! The fans fire up while Izzi flounders around! Izzi stacks Lola, TWO! Izzi is free, KNEES Lola low, then drags her up for a cording hold.

Lola fires body shots, uses the ropes to SLINGSHOT ARM-DRAG, then she HEEL KICKS Izzi outta the ring! The fans fire up and Lola goes to the apron. SEATED SENTON to the floor! Lola shakes it up, then says hush. Lola drags Izzi up while the fans cheer, and she puts Izzi back in the ring. Izzi runs up, but into a BODY SHOT! Lola whips Izzi, KICKS her, then shakes it up. Lola whips and KICKS Izzi again and the fans cheer. Lola whips again, but Izzi scoops to SLAM! Cover, TWO! Lola toughs it out but The Chair Man coaches Izzi up. Izzi CLUBS Lola, brings her around, and CHOPS! And UPPERCUTS!

Lola staggers, Izzi whips, but Lola mule kicks! The fans rally but Izzi bumps Lola off buckles. Izzi runs in, Lola dodges, and Lola sits Izzi down! Lola KICKS, and KICKS, and KICKS! Izzi sputters, but she ELBOWS Lola in return. Izzi mule kicks, then scoops again, but Lolz shifts around to a SLEEPER HOLD! The fans fire up as Lola is a backpack! Izzi endures, reaches out, but Lola is wrapped on tight! Izzi BACKPACK SENTONS! Lola is down and Izzi is free, but Spears continues to coach her up. Izzi rises while the fans rally, and Izzi ROCKS Lola! And shoves her over! “MMA my ass!” Lola kicks, Izzi blocks, and Izzi reels Lola in for a GERMAN SUPLEX!

Izzi huffs ‘n’ puffs and Spears mocks the hip swiveling while NXT goes to break.

NXT returns and Izzi has Lola in a LION TAMER! Lola endures, fights around, and reaches out, then rolls to send Izzi into buckles! The fans fire up, Lola rolls Izzi up, TWO! Izzi swings, misses, and Lola hits the crucifix takedown! TWO, but Lola SPIN KICKS! And SPIN KICKS! And SPIN KICKS! The fans fire up and Lola bobs ‘n’ weaves to fire LIGHTNING KICKS! Izzi sits down in the corner and the fans fire up for Lola! Izzi runs up first, Lola dodges to GERMAN SUPLEX! And then HIP ATTACK! Lola adds a little extra there, then drags Izzi up. Izzi fights the saido and CLUBS away on Lola’s neck!

Izzi scoops Lola, Lola slips free, and Lola ELBOWS Izzi! But then Spears trips Lola up! The fans boo, but Izzi BOOTS Lola down! Lola falls to the floor, the fans boo more, but what is that noise? TATUM PAXLEY CUTS THROUGH THE WALL WITH A CHAINSAW!! The fans go nuts for #TuesdayAddams as she scares Spears off! Izzi can’t even, but then Lola gets her with the BUENAS NOCHES URAKEN!! Cover, Lola wins!

Winner: Lola Vice, by pinfall

Lola wins as Tatum gives The Culling a nightmare before Christmas! Will nothing stop Tatum from having her revenge in the New Year? But then KELANI JORDAN CLOBBERS LOLA! The fans boo as the Standout is just a bully! She stomps Lola, THROWS her to a corner, then stomps away again! The ref tells Lani to knock it out, but Lani KICKS and KICKS and KICKS Lola! Lani is smug as she stands tall, but will nothing stop her from having her own happy New Year?

Thea Hail finds Jordynne Grace backstage.

The Juggernaut is reviewing the footage of last week’s shocker, and tells the Grown-Ass Woman that after watching it back about 100 times, from all angles possible, Grace stands by Thea. Thea won that match, the ref did his job, Thea is the rightful champ. Thea thanks Grace for that. Things were controversial, yes, but Thea will go address the fans as the NXT Women’s North American Champion! Wow, that doesn’t even sound real yet. But then Thea also thanks Grace for standing up for her against Blake Monroe last week. That means a lot to her. Grace says any time. Okay, time to go do it! Thea tells Grace, and herself, that she’s got this!

Thea hurries away, and Grace says time to watch what happens next. We’ll see what happens next along with her, after the break.

Ethan Page talks to Myles Borne backstage.

All Ego says he is aware that he is the last person Myles wants to see right now, but out of the goodness of Ethan’s heart, he gave Myles fantastic advice on how to put his career on the path to success. And then Myles chose not to listen! Instead, Myles would rather sit here and sulk while asking himself, “Why?” Well, do you know who’s happy Myles didn’t listen? Leon Slater. Because Leon has the match Myles wanted for New Year’s Evil! All Myles had to do was make a small change and it’d be him. Look at Trick Williams and Ricky Saints! One small change, and whoa, they’re better off for it!

“Myles, everyone loves to pretend that Raw and SmackDown is the shark tank; it’s not. NXT is the shark tank! Actually, better yet, this is an ocean! We’ve got Great Whites coming in from all over the world! From the wrestling world AND the athletic world. If you can survive here, Myles, Monday and Friday will be a cake walk. So… 2026, think about this: Either move up, or move out. And y’know what? This might help you. You haven’t taken my advice well before, so grab a pen, you might wanna write this down. Next week, you get to watch a real champion handle business and take care of TNA’s best.”

Ethan heads out, ready to face Moose. But will Myles follow in Ethan’s footsteps? Or will he continue to do things his own way?

Thea Hail heads to the ring!

The fans cheer as she gets the official introduction as the NEW NXT Women’s North American Champion, and Thea is fired up as ever. Thea grabs a mic while the fans chant for her, with a bit of “You Deserve It!” in the mix. Thea thanks them, and says last week was a little controversial. Some couldn’t believe she won, even SHE couldn’t believe she won, but she did it! She’s always heard people talk about what it’s like to be a champion. She’s seen the smiles, heard the words, seen the celebrations, but nothing prepares you for what it feels like to actually have a title on your shoulders! The fans cheer that!

Thea has been NXT Women’s North American Champion for just a week, and it’s the greatest thing of her life! The fans have watched her grow up, and life is so hard sometimes. The fans again chant, “You Deserve It!” Thea says she was a senior in high school, just an 18 year old girl, and has had so many opportunities that she never thought she’d get so young. And all of that led her to this moment! All the lessons from Mr. Chase, all the losses, all the championship matches where she came up short, and all the friendships she has had and lost, they all led her here! And SO many people doubted her! They said she couldn’t do this!

But Thea believed! She believed in the moment when it meant most, and when you believe hard enough, you can make history! You become the YOUNGEST NXT Women’s North American Champion in history!! The fans cheer, and Thea says growing up in front of the WWE Universe is hard. Finding your footing as a 22-year-old girl and finding yourself at the same time has been difficulty, it has been messy, but it has also been real! And with this title, she finally has the confidence she has been lacking! She FINALLY feels like a Grown-Ass Woman!! The fans fire up for that! Thea says she wants nothing more than to celebrate with-

WAIT! Blake Monroe makes her way out here! The Glamour is a bit disheveled, but she has a mic to say, “Make it end. Thea… That’s enough! That… That was a fluke! That was a mistake! An inconvenience that I now have to deal with!” The fans boo but Blake continues her way to the ring. “I never thought the number three would haunt me so much, but here we are.” Thea tells Blake, “Womp womp~!” But Blake says what matters now is that she wants her title back! Hand it over! Uh, sorry, but it is THEA’S title! Blake lost, ref counted, 1-2-3! The fans duel, Blake says they all know that ref had NO IDEA what he was doing!

Blake wants a rematch! This is BLASPHEMY! Thea tells Blake that she knows full well if the tables were turned, Blake would NOT give Thea a rematch. But because Thea faces things head on, Blake will get hers! New Year’s Evil! Oh, don’t you pity her! Then Blake fires hands! Thea and Blake scrap, refs rush out here, but fans want to “LET THEM FIGHT!” “NXT! NXT!” Blake shrieks as she is dragged away from Thea, and Thea holds up her belt! But will Thea make sure it is still HER belt? Or will the Woman From Hell stop at nothing to get back on top?

Backstage interview with #ZaRuca.

Sarah Schreiber is with Sol & Zaria, and brings up Sol’s roller coaster 2025. But how would it feel to wrap things up as the NEW Women’s US Champion? Sol says it’d feel incredible. If 2025 has taught her anything, it’s that you can’t control the waves, you can only learn how to ride them. And she knows that sounds cliche, but she went from a DOUBLE CHAMPION during WrestleMania weekend to watching both titles leaving her hands without ever really losing them herself. Sol says that’s no fault of anyone, though Zaria’s face seems to disagree…

Sol continues by saying that was just the low part of her year. She then went on to beat Bayley at Saturday Night’s Main Event, John Cena’s farewell show, in front of 19 THOUSAND, and then millions more online. Sol is lucky to have a best friend like Zaria. So when Sol beats Chelsea tonight, there will be no greater feeling than being champion again. Zaria says Sol deserves to be champion again, and Zaria will be there to make sure that happens. Zaria leads the way out, will The Agent of Change make sure “Slaygent Fyre” behaves herself during our main event?

WWE Men’s Speed Tournament Opening Round: Eli Knight VS Tavion Heights!

Jasper Troy won the WWE Speed Championship off of El Grande Americano, but he is more than ready to face someone else with the title on the line. The tournament begins as Evolve sends the newest WWE ID prospect to face NXT’s Olympian! Will Eli prove he is the Prodigy of Flight? Or will Tavion take this entire division to new heights?

The bell rings, we’re on the clock, and both men run up, only for Eli to DROPKICK Tavion down! Tavion bails out, Eli builds speed, and Eli WRECKS Tavion with another dropkick! Eli goes out, TOP ROPE ASAI MOONSAULT! The fans fire up and Eli hurries to put Tavion in. Eli goes up, DIVING BODY PRESS! Cover, TWO!! Tavion survives but Eli keeps going! Eli facelocks, Tavion powers out, and he sweeps the leg to then jackknife roll into the fireman’s carry! GUT- NO, Eli lands out, ducks ‘n’ hurdles and drops down to then CALF KICK! We hit the two minute orange phase while Tavion goes to a corner!

Eli runs up, spins and LARIATS! Eli clinches, scoop, and then SLAMS! Eli jumps to WALL KICK MOONSAULT! Cover, TWO!! Tavion escapes again and the fans rally up. Eli drags Tavion up, but Tavion ROCKS Eli! Back suplex, but Eli lands out to BOOT! Eli cravats for a ASAI DDT! Tavion is in the drop zone, Eli goes up top! MOONSULT FLOPS as Tavion moves! Tavion runs and clinches to BELLY2BELLY! Cover, Tavion wins!!

Winner: Tavion Heights, by pinfall (advances to the next round)

With one minute to spare, Tavion caps it off! He got through a Knight, but with another Speed match later tonight, will the Olympian be facing a teacher or a king?

Blake Monroe returns backstage.

The Glamour demands to know where to find the ref that ruined her reign, but Jackson Drake walks over. The Evolve Champion introduces himself, and says just follow him, she’ll love this. Around the corner, it’s Swipe Right! Brad Baylor & Ricky Smokes introduce themselves, and Ricky says she looks even more glamorous in person. Brad says hundos, her Instagram does not do her justice. Blake asks if she can help them. W-Well, they just wanted to give her some Christmas presents to make her feel better. As they see it, she should still be champion. Oh, really? Of course! That had to be the most blind referee in WWE history!

When Ricky watched that, he could see her arm fly up off the mat! So he wants her to know, he believes in her. Brad again says hundos, no idea what that ref was thinking. It was almost like an Orlando Screw Job! Drake says it’s okay, though, they know Blake is gonna win it back at New Year’s Evil. Ricky says she’s gotta! Could you imagine if she loses? Or if Thea holds the title until next Summer? Well, okay, that would cook, honestly, but- Blake asks if they think she’s gonna lose. No, they’re just- GET OUT OF HERE! Right, sorry! Vanity Project sulks away, but she tells them to leave the gifts. R-Right.

Ricky hands hands his over, and then asks the guys if they think Blake noticed his abs. Blake contains her emotions, but will she take it all out on Thea soon enough? And what did the guys even get her for Christmas?

Sit-down interview with Oba Femi and Leon Slater.

Kelly Kincaid welcomes both the NXT Champion and his challenger, the TNA X-Division Champion. She starts with The Ruler: What a dominant year! He started with New Year’s Evil 2025 by winning the title, which he held for over seven months, and he even main-evented Stand & Deliver. He defeated Ricky Saints to become a TWO-TIME NXT Champion, and even more recently than that, he went toe-to-toe with Cody Rhodes at Saturday Night’s Main Event. What has this year been like for Oba? Oba says 2025 has been a year of success. He erased the one blemish on a damn near perfect reign, and every single claim, he has backed up with complete excellence.

There is no doubt in anyone’s mind that for the past two years, Oba has been THE Ruler of NXT. But he wanted to make a point when he came back in November that he is not just The Ruler of NXT, but of WWE. And at SNME, there was a shift in the universe. Cody felt that shift, and more importantly, the fans could feel it. And in two weeks, this young, hungry lion will feel it at New Year’s Evil. Kelly says very strong words from Oba, but she does see Leon smiling. The Youngest In Charge says it’s cuz Oba believes every word he says. Leon does, too, so don’t get him wrong, he knows this is the biggest match of his life, and the most difficult one, too.

Then Leon, everyone knows who you are and has seen you fly around the ring. That Swanton 450 is truly a thing of beauty. But can he give us more insight into who Leon Slater is? Leon says wrestling found him at a young age, he won’t lie. He had a void that he needed filling, and he couldn’t be sure what that was until he found wrestling. He remembers when his cousin put him onto the video games, the action figures, and the DVDs. Leon became a sponge for it! He started training at just nine years old! And he knows it sounds crazy, but when it is all you think about, all you talk about, and it is all you wanna do, it doesn’t sound so mad.

Leon thinks for himself that it was not a normal upbringing for a kid, but as the only man of the house, just him, his mom, and his sister, being “The Youngest In Charge” isn’t just a moniker or nickname, it is what he had to become, and it served him pretty well so far. And he has no intention of slowing down. Leon is a record breaker, moment maker, and in two weeks, another one of those awaits him. Oba says Leon has a very inspiring story. But when you stand across the ring from Oba, the sob story has no happy ending. Well, okay, you don’t gotta give him all that. Leon’s not one for trash talk, he lets his ability speak for him.

And Oba’s ability speaks volumes, too. At New Year’s Evil, Leon and Oba will find out who speaks louder. Leon stands up and offers a handshake. Oba says we’ll see. He accepts the handshake, Kelly wishes the best of luck to them both, but will Oba still rule NXT in the New Year? Or will we see the Youngest DOUBLE CHAMPION In Charge with 2026?

Ava Raine is in the ring.

NXT returns with the General Manager, and quite a bit of security, already set. “Clearly things did not end last week. Instead, they just escalated. So now, I’m out here with security, and both of you asked for this time, so let’s try it again. First, Je’Von Evans.” The fans cheer as The Young OG makes his way out here, fresh off that win on Raw against Rayo Americano. Ava then calls for Ricky Saints, and the fans boo as The Absolute enters the room. Both men get a mic, and Je’Von asks they turn Ricky’s music off already. Je’Von isn’t even sure why they’re out here talking, they could’ve just been throwing hands outside.

Ricky says this right here is what he’s talking about! Je’Von does NOT have the emotional intelligence, he is too impulsive. And for all his shortcomings, he’s still the future of the WWE?! He can’t even rent a car, much less shoulder the weight of a brand. Whereas with Ricky, he is the model that Je’Von should be modeling himself after! Je’Von says he ain’t gonna lie, he’s about to rock Ricky! Ava stops Je’Von, but Je’Von says Ricky knows it didn’t have to be like this. Ricky could’ve let Je’Von handle Oba, but no, no, no! Ricky is just JEALOUS! Why is that? Oh, here’s why: Ricky is not the guy he thinks he is, if we’re real.

Ricky says he is every bit the man he says he is! He could go to Good Morning America, hop on a jet, go hand out awards, shake hands and kiss babies, while Je’Von can barely string two sentences together! Je’Von has marbles in his mouth! Ricky checks every box! Oh, every box? Ricky might be right, but Je’Von knows he checks off enough boxes for Nick Aldis and Adam Pearce to put him on Raw and SmackDown. Ricky hasn’t even been yet. Uh, Je’Von also knows he checks off enough boxes for John Cena to put him on that last SNME! Talking about Cena’s last show, Ricky wasn’t even mentioned! Ricky wasn’t even thought about!

Je’Von says to keep it real, Je’Von didn’t need to beg the crowd, the fans, the people, to choose Je’Von over Ricky. And now Je’Von is supposed to slow down cuz Ricky can’t keep up? The fans cheer that! Je’Von says to be real, Ricky is trippin’ out his damn mind! Ricky says he is in his right mind! Je’Von says if Ricky keeps talking to him like he’s a kid, Je’Von will whoop dat ass like a grown man! Ava says okay, okay, enough! These two can prove who is better next week, for the LAST TIME! Ricky VS Je’Von, 1v1, and this ENDS! Je’Von is more than ready, but will he humble Ricky? Or will next week be an absolute victory for The Revolution?

Kendal Grey & Wren Sinclair talk in the lounge.

But then in walks Fatal Influence. Fallon Henley mockingly says the Kendal Grey Train continues to roll right along. So sad it only has two more weeks of steam before it all comes to an end. Wren says the WrenQCC is all about results. And when Kendal wins at New Year’s Evil, she will be the NEW NXT Women’s Champion! Lainey Reid mocks Wren, and says Wren sure yaps a lot for someone who, well, hasn’t accomplished anything. Kendal says that’s cute coming from the new third wheel. Jacy Jayne says enough, they don’t have time for this. Jacy liked Wren a lot better when she was scared of her own shadow. But now she has Female Mighty Mouse and thinks she can talk a big game?

As for Kendal, at New Year’s Evil, you learn you are not on Jacy’s level. And as for Wren, maybe the champ could use a warm-up. Wren VS Jacy for next week, and then Wren can fill Kendal in on everything that’s in store for her. Wren says she’s on! Oh, perfect. The Fatal Influence laughs their way out, but will the Toxic Rockstar be the one in for an upset this time around? Or will she indeed make Wren an example to everyone else?

Christmas Chaos Mixed Tag: Shiloh Hill & Skylar Rae VS Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo & Arianna Grace!

The new kids from LFG were just excited seeing all the developments between NXT and TNA, and the “Power Couple” had to get all upset about it. But now the stakes have been raised for quite the Christmas gift to us all! Will “The Hellraiser” and “The Shining Star” make this anything but a silent night? Or can the NEW TNA International Champion and his Pageant Queen win their way to the nice list?

NXT returns as Stacks & Arianna make their entrance in their Grinch green attire. And surprise, Stacks brought mistletoe. They of course kiss, but then surprise~! Shiloh & Skylar sneak up on them. Stacks ducks so Arianna can SLAP Shiloh! But then Skylar spins Arianna around, only for her to duck, and Skylar SLAPS Stacks! The fans fire up as Skylar SMACKS Arianna off the apron, and Shiloh RAMS Stacks into the apron! Arianna hits back, gets into the ring, but Skylar pursues. The bell rings, Arianna kicks Skylar low, then bumps her off buckles. Stacks kicks Shiloh low, snatches Santa’s sack from him, and then CLUBS Shiloh down with it!

Skylar SMACKS Arianna off buckles, then headlocks. Arianna powers up and out, Stacks joins in, they drop down, hurdle over, and repeat, but Skylar atomic drops Arianna! Stacks reprimands, but Shiloh gives Stacks an atomic drop! Stacks staggers, wobbles, but Arianna gets away so Stacks just falls on the mat! Arianna is upset, but Skylar DROPKICKS her out! Shiloh reels Stacks into a waistlock, but Stacks fights free. Stacks runs, but Shiloh scoops to SLAM! The fans fire up with Shiloh, and he LARIATS Stacks up and out while Skylar SMASHES Arianna with a gift box! Skylar has Arianna trapped in the box, then she goes to Shiloh.

Skylar tells Shiloh to elevate her, and he fireman’s carries her to then military press! Shiloh THROWS Skylar onto Stacks & Arianna! The fans fire up and Skylar puts Arianna in the ring. She has the candy cane kendo stick! Arianna blocks the shot and sends Skylar into a corner! Shiloh opens up some presents, and surprise! It’s computer keyboards! Shiloh throws one to Skylar, then he SMASHES the other on Stacks’ back! Stacks writhes, probably hoping he could control-z undo that moment, but then Arianna SMACKS Shiloh with the kendo stick! Arianna aims at Skylar, takes a swing, but Skylar blocks the shot!

Skylar powers up and fights over the stick with Arianna! Then the gentlemen join in for Electric Chair Lifts! The fans fire up for the Chicken Fight! The fans cheer, Shiloh kicks Stacks and Stacks lets Arianna down! Arianna kicks Shiloh low and he lets Skylar down! And then she BOOTS Shiloh! And BODY SHOTS Skylar! Arianna coordinates with Stacks, then whips Skylar. Skylar reverses, Arianna stops from running into Stacks’ boot, but Shiloh LARIATS Stacks! Skylar shoves Arianna to a corner, then back body blocks! Shiloh puts Stacks in a Tree of Woe while Skylar lifts Arianna. Skylar puts Arianna in the Tree of Woe in the other corner!

Skylar and Shiloh have kendo sticks, and they SMACK away, “HO HO HO! HO HO HO!” The fans fire up as the two wind up, and they DOUBLE SMACK! Stacks and Arianna both fall out of the Trees while the fans cheer, and NXT goes to break.

NXT returns again and Stacks has Shiloh down in the corner now! Stacks mocks the “Ho Ho Ho!” while he holds up the kendo stick, and he SMACKS Shiloh! Arianna stomps Skylar down on the outside while Stacks SMACKS, SMACKS, SMACKS! Stacks throws the kendo stick away, and Arianna finds a particular present. Arianna brings it to Stacks, he unwraps his gift, and it’s a BOWLING BALL! Stacks jokingly says, “How did you know?” Stacks then lets Arianna wind up, but she hits STACKS in the balls! Oops! Then she drops the ball on his TOES! Arianna says someone help! The fans chant, “You Deserve It!”

Shiloh rises up, and he takes out his false tooth! The fans fire up as he makes Arianna hold it! She freaks out, Shiloh LARIATS Stacks again and again, and then TOSSES Stacks to the corner! Shiloh fires hands, then TOSSES Stacks! Arianna wipes her hands off on Stacks, but Skylar DOUBLE MISSILE DROPKICKS! Then Shiloh runs and CLOBBERS Stacks! The fans fire up for Shiloh as he sets up, IMPLODER SENTON! Cover, TWO! Stacks survives but the fans stay fired up behind Shiloh. Shiloh drags Stacks up, TOSSES him out, and Stacks hits the desk! Shiloh storms out after Stacks, puts the reef around him, but here comes Arianna!

Skylar TOSSES Arianna into the Christmas tree! Down goes Arianna and the fans fire up for Shiloh as he shouts out The Undertaker! LEG DROP GUILLOTINE ON THE APRON! Stacks sputters, and Skylar helps throw cookies to the fans! But then Arianna CLOBBERS her and Shiloh with the tree! And she SMACKS Skylar with the cookie sheet! And then she SMACKS away on Shiloh again and again! Then one more for Skylar! The fans boo but Stacks brings the table over. The fans cheer the table while Stacks comforts and kisses Arianna. But Skylar uses a candy cane to hook and YANK Arianna into the POST!

Shiloh BOOTS Stacks down! Skylar stomps Arianna into the cookies! Shiloh has a new sack from Santa, and he pours out PINECONES onto the table! Shiloh then reels Stacks in, lifts him up, and spins him around before the POWERBOMB onto the pinecones and table!! Skylar has Ariana int he ring, FROG SPLASH!! Cover, Shiloh & Skylar win!

Winners: Shiloh Hill & Skylar Rae, by pinfall

Stacks & Arianna might want to switch to celebrating Festivus to air out their grievances, because Shiloh & Skylar are the ones bringing the Christmas cheer to NXT! But will this win also lead to big things for the LFG Season 2 Champions in the New Year?

DarkState meets with Ava in her office.

They just want the NXT GM to understand, if it wasn’t for you know who, Dion Lennox would be #1 contender to take on Oba at New Year’s Evil. And what is she supposed to do about that? Give him Joe Hendry! “Say his name an he appears!” This time, from behind the bookshelf! Joe Hendry is indeed here, and Ava asks if he was there the whole time. Hendry asks the DarkState lads, “Why the long faces? ‘Tis the season to be merry.” Oh, right, sure, after Hendry costs Dion the title shot. Don’t nobody wanna talk Christmas right now! Well, if Christmas is not his thing, just think positively going into the New Year. After all, 2026 is right around the corner.

Dion says he’ll show Hendry something “positive.” Ava says not here. Dion has the DarkState boys head out, and Cutler James tells Hendry to keep his head on a swivel, they’ll be watching him. Ava thanks Hendry for not making things worse. No problem. In fact, Hendry got an idea. NXT has given him so much this year, he wants to give back. How about next week, a live Joe Hendry Concert! Ava likes that, and is sure everyone will love it, too. Hendry thanks Ava, but will Hendry get to ring in the New Year with cheer? Or will he learn that when DarkState’s around, #NoOneIsSafe?

Backstage interview with OTM.

Kelly Kincaid is with Lucien Price & Bronco Nima, and says last week did not go their way. But with 2025 coming to a close, what is ahead for them in 2026? Nima says they took one to the chin against Hank ‘n’ Tank, but they won’t make any excuses. They know how to spell “resilience,” and in 2026, Price says they gonna fold ’em. Hank ‘n’ Tank will see them again. But then Vanity Project walks in. They tell Kelly that technically, these gifts were for someone else, but tonight is her lucky night. Oh, uh, thanks? Yeah, green to match her outfit! But Kelly got the better end of the deal, Blake is hard to shop for, so they went a little crazy.

But don’t think of these as a regift, but more like an upgrade. Nima tells them all to shut up! Don’t they pay attention? OTM is having an interview. Matter of fact, who even are y’all? Uh, first, they don’t appreciate the tone. Second, they don’t know French! (That was Spanish). But they’re Vanity Project: Jackson Drake, the Evolve Champion; Ricky Smokes & Brad Baylor, aka Swipe Right. And in 2026, they’ll be bringing gifts to the NXT Tag Division, and it is called “Swipe Right.” Oh, is that so? With OTM in the game, you gon’ pay. Do they accept gifts? No, they’ll pay in pain! Think on that!

OTM storms off, Swipe Right give the gifts over to Kelly, then they hurry away. Merry Christmas! But seriously, what’d they get? And what will they get if they continue to push OTM’s buttons?

WWE Men’s Speed Tournament Opening Round: Andre Chase VS Lexis King!

We already know Tavion Heights awaits, so it is either Professor Chase or the Drama King joining him in the finals. Will this be a #TeachableMoment about time efficiency? Or will this be King’s crowning achievement?

The bell rings and the two run up! King kicks low, CHOPS and CHOPS and whips, but Chase dodges King to then run and CLOBBER him! And CLOBBER him again! Then wrench and NECKBREAKER! Cover, ONE!! King is still in this, but Chase storms up. King blocks a kick but not the ENZIGIRI! King tumbles out of the ring, Chase takes aim, and Chase PLANCHAS, but lands on the apron as King moves. Chase mule kicks King, then lines up a shot, to FLYING LARIAT! Down goes King and the fans fire up! Chase gets King in the ring, climbs up, and the fans cheer him on. But King runs up! Chase leaps over, rolls, but King SUPERKICKS Chase down! Cover, TWO!

We’re in the orange phase, but King rains down fists on the protective mask. Chase’s nose is still a concern after reconstructive surgery and King knows it! King kicks Chase around, put shim on the ropes, but Chase ROCKS King! And ROCKS him again! ENZI- NO, King ducks to then CROWN Chase with the blindside attack! Cover, TWO! Chase is tougher than that but King hurries to straitjacket and wrench! But Chase wrenches through, WRINGS the arm out, and then hits an ARM CODE BREAKER! King staggers up, Chase CHOPS him! Chase gets up, and he DECKS King! Chase hurries, but King UP KICKS the mask! Then the CORONATION!! Cover, King wins!

Winner: Lexis King, by pinfall (advances to the next round)

With just 15 seconds to spare, King trumps Chase and is headed for the finals! But will the drama continue through to the title match? Or will Tavion still reach those new heights?

Kelani Jordan rants backstage.

She tells the rest of the Women’s Division that she belongs in the locker room! If they have a problem with it, let her know, cuz they can get exactly what Lola got! Lani storms around, tells people to back off, they can get it, too! Tavion says, “Daaaayum~!” Myles says he liked Lani better before. Tavion says he now has Lexis in the finals, and Myles says that guy is a pain in the ass. Tavion says no, Lexis just IS an ass! And Tavion keeps running into the same roadblocks. Everyone wants to be at the top, and it isn’t as easy as they thought. Myles says maybe Ethan was right. Something’s gotta change. But what?

Hank ‘n’ Tank step in, and Tank says remember at the start of the year, they were fighting just to get to Stand & Deliver? Then setback after setback, even against Myles & Tavion, but what’d they do? They flipped the script and became THE NXT Tag Team Champions! The highs are high, the lows are low, but just keep going how you’re going and you’ll get to where you get to! Keep on chugging into 2026! Tavion daps it up with Tank and says yes, okay. But yeah, Myles, it’s just like they said. He and Myles dap it up, but whose advice will Myles commit to heart?

WWE Women’s United States Championship: Chelsea Green w/ Alba Fyre & Ethan Page VS Sol Ruca w/ Zaria!

The Hot Mess is a double champion alongside Ethan Page, and she has just as much ego has he does to boot. But that very ego is why she’s gotta work this close to Christmas! Will Chelsea survive fighting a former double champion? Or will Sol be dreaming of a gold Christmas?

The introductions are made, the US title is raised, and we see whose holiday is merry and bright!

The bell rings and Chelsea runs up, but into a drop toehold! Sol hooks up the legs, even as Chelsea resists. Sol reaches for Chelsea’s arms but Chelsea tries to swim away, so Sol STOMPS the legs! Chelsea hobbles, Sol facelocks and wrangles her, and the fans rally up. Chelsea wrenches, ELBOW BREAKER, and a YANK! Chelsea wrenches again, but Sol cartwheels through! The fans cheer, Chelsea is upset, but Sol dodges Chelsea to hit a SPIN-OUT SLAM! Then Sol hooks up the legs again, grabs the arms, and she pulls Chelsea into the ROMERO SPECIAL! The fans fire up as Chelsea is in the surfboard stretch, and Sol lets her down to thrash her around!

Chelsea endures, calls for help, but Sol BOOTS her down! Chelsea flounders to the ropes, KICKS Sol away, and she asks Alba & Ethan for help! They say they can’t do anything, the ref’s right there! Sol drags Chelsea back, Alba reaches out, and Ethan holds Alba’s ankles! The fans boo, the ref reprimands, but Zaria storms over to grab Ethan! Zaria YANKS Ethan and Alba outta the way! Sol then fireman’s carries Chelsea, but Chelsea fights free! Chelsea THRWOS Sol down, then runs the ropes, to slide, salute, and SLAP! Chelsea says pledge your allegiance to her! Then she ROCKS Sol! Chelsea runs, but Sol ROCKS Chelsea!

Sol runs, but Chelsea follows to ROCK Sol! Chelsea runs, but Sol follows to ROCK Chelsea again! And then Sol runs for Chelsea to follow and SMACK her! Chelsea shouts, the fans fire up, and Chelsea runs, but Sol LARAITS her up and out! The fans fire up, Alba & Ethan hurry to Chelsea’s side, but Sol goes up! ARI HARA MOONSAULT! Down goes the Canadian Connection! The fans fire up as Sol gets on the barriers, and we start a wave~! #ZaRuca and the fans are having a great time while NXT goes to break.

NXT returns and Chelsea has Sol in a LEG HOOK NELSON! The fans rally while Sol endures, and she pushes back to a stacked cover, TWO! Chelsea has the body scissors now, and she CLUBS away on Sol! Chelsea squeezes tight, but the fans rally for Sol as she pries at the hold. Sol fires elbows, Chelsea pulls hair, repeat! Sol turns around to rain down forearms on Chelsea! The fans fire up but Chelsea kicks Sol away. Sol kicks low in return, then CLUBS and CHPOS, CHOPS, CHOPS Chelsea! Sol whips, then she ELBOWS Chelsea down! And ELBOWS her down again! Sol whips, Chelsea reverses, and Sol ends up in the corner.

Chelsea runs in, jumps up, salutes, and MONKEY FLIPS, but Sol lands on her feet! Chelsea soaks up the cheers, but they’re not for her! Sol gets around Chelsea to GERMAN SUPLEX! The fans fire up, Sol goes up a corner, and Chelsea stands into the MISSILE DROPKICK! Sol kips up and the fans fire up! Sol runs in, SHINING WIZARD! Cover, TWO!! Chelsea survives but Alba & Ethan are frustrated and worried. Sol drags Chelsea around, goes to the apron, and she springboards, but has to roll through as Chelsea moves! Sol goes up, but Chelsea climbs up after her! SUPER GERMAN SUPLEX! Sol tumbles, Chelsea lines up a shot, and Chelsea goes up, up, but Sol avoids the Vader Bomb! Chelsea flounders from her belly flop, and Sol goes up now! TUBULAR DDT!! Cover, ETHAN GIVES CHELSEA THE ROPEBREAK!! The fans are torn but Zaria knows what Ethan just did! Zaria and Ethan argue, and then MOOSE is here! Moose fires hands with Ethan and the fans fire up!

Moose brawls with Ethan to the backstage, Zaria says that’s what he gets! The ref is still busy with Zaria, though, as Alba anchors Sol in the corner! Chelsea YANKS Sol down! Then UNPRETTY-HER!! Cover, CHELSEA WINS!

Winner: Chelsea Green, by pinfall (still WWE Women’s US Champion)

The Face of the Franchise aside, it was classic Green Administration antics that save The Hot Mess! But will Chelsea just have to worry about Giulia on SmackDown coming for her next? Will Moose make sure to take that NXT Men’s North American Championship to TNA with him? WAIT, Zaria DOUBLE SPEARS Chelsea & Alba! The fans cheer as Zaria gets payback on behalf of Sol! Sol says why not! DOUBLE SOUL SNATCHER for Alba & Chelsea! The fans cheer as the best buds still stand tall, will 2026 be the Year of ZaRuca?

My Thoughts:

A great NXT here ahead of the holidays, and I think we saw some hints towards Evolve stars being “called up” to NXT already. Eli Knight VS Tavion Heights was a great Speed match, and while Eli hasn’t done much on Evolve yet, quite a few of the WWE ID prospects already feel complete as characters and certainly have the in-ring talent. Eli could easily move right up to NXT in the New Year, and certainly be a regular in the Speed Division. Great win for Tavion, and then great stuff with Chase VS King. I figured King would win because Face VS Heel, but good promo from Tavion, Myles and Hank ‘n’ Tank after. I would think Tavion beats King to then face Jasper Troy as, well, the Face.

Hank ‘n’ Tank of course had positive energy, but Ethan Page brings the negativity, or at least the selfishness, and Myles is stuck in the middle. Fans really like Myles, not sure they’d turn him Heel like this, but he could at least be more intense and aggressive, like he was against Lexis King. Though, that’d just make him even more like “Baby Orton.” But yeah, something’s gotta give for Myles, and assuming Ethan retains the title against Moose, I bet Myles gets another shot at the North American Championship. And in an ironic way, Ethan could be proud of Myles for resorting to such things to win against him.

Very good promo from Thea and Jordynne, and then a great promo from Thea and Blake to help adjust from the “controversial” finish to the title match last week. Great little scrap, too, and can’t wait to see Blake VS Thea 2. I would like to think we still get Jordynne in the mix, but maybe she just waits to see who wins out. Lola VS Izzi was a very good opener, and I absolutely loved seeing Tatum bust in with a chainsaw! Tatum VS Izzi 2 will definitely have to be No Disqualifications now, and then Kelani of course went after Lola to spark a grudge match between them. Tatum surely wins against Izzi, but who knows with Lola VS Lani.

Speaking of Blake, good promo from her with Vanity Project, and it seems Vanity Project could be the other Evolve call-ups. They also had a good promo with OTM, and that’s an easy tag feud right there. Makes me wonder if the Evolve Tag Division is ever getting titles if Swipe Right is going to be called up already. Great Mixed Tag tonight, and I liked them upping things with the “Christmas Chaos” stipulation. Great win for Shiloh & Skylar, and with the AAA crossover, I wonder if NXT starts leading the charge on a Mixed Tag Division. Probably not, but I could see Shiloh & Skylar building up their own momentum towards a shot at Ethan & Chelsea.

And of course, a great main event from Chelsea VS Sol for the Women’s US title. That promo from ZaRuca made me think Zaria was going to finally turn on Sol, but she sticks by Sol instead. Moose going after Ethan is good to hype up their match, but I do feel like Ethan retains. I feel like there should be ZaRuca VS Chelsea & Alba, but probably not. Sol & Zaria might even move on to main roster with the New Year, but I guess we’ll wait and see.

My Score: 8.8/10

PLAY BY PLAY

Bagpipes play for Drew McIntyre!

A troupe of six play the music of the Scottish Terminator’s people before the NEW Undisputed WWE Champion officially makes his entrance. London cheers as Drew steps on stage, belt around his waist, and they sing for “OH~ Drew McIntyre~!” as he takes his time walking down the ramp. Drew gets his pyro, the fans cheer more, and Drew continues to the ring. Drew looks at the championship while he hears the fans cheering, and he goes up the corner to raise the belt up high! The fans cheer as Drew gets more pyro! And a lot of it! The fans cheer again, and Drew puts the belt on his shoulder, but then he goes back out to join the front row in cheering!

Drew goes back to the ring, grabs the mic, and the singing for “OH~ Drew McIntyre~!” continues. Drew says, “I prayed for this and it happened.” The fans cheer that, then chant, “You Deserve It!” Drew says, “I know it’s been a rough few years in the UK here, but if there’s somebody that can bring us together, it’s our Undisputed WWE Champion. It’s the first-and-only-ever BRITISH WWE Champion, Drew McIntyre!” The fans cheer that! Drew says the love he’s been shown the past week is incredible. Texts, social media posts, the cheers all across Europe, including tonight, “you bunch of mentalists.”

And Drew just wants to say to each and every one out there… “Screw you.” The fans laugh at that, but Drew says no, this isn’t even being a bad guy wrestler. Seriously, screw you! When he got FIRED from WWE, where were they? They wanna jump on the bandwagon now? 99% of them weren’t there for him! When he was being screwed over by Roman Reigns and the Bloodline, there was no uprising for him, huh? How’d they help him out? When CM Punk screwed Drew, the fans cheered Roman and Punk and doing the YEET with Jey Uso! The fans do chant those things now, and then Drew brings up Cody and the corrupt refs!

Was there a hashtag for Drew? NO! There is only one person Drew needs to thank, that ever believed in Drew, and that person… is Drew! So thank you, Drew! If you wanna chant, chant “Thank You, Drew!” The fans do chant, “Thank You, Drew!” Well, there’s one more person Drew must address: The former… Oh, that feels good to say. Drew knows Cody Rhodes is here, and it must cut like a knife to say FORMER WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes! The fans now sing for “Cody, Cody Rhodes~!” Yes, Drew knows Cody’s crack team is trying to figure out a title rematch. Drew admits to having Nick Aldis add a little extra clause.

Since 99% of Americans can’t read, Drew will tell us what it is: There is NO rematch clause! Cody must start at the bottom, work his way back up. The Vanilla QB1 Era is over! The Dangerous Drew Era begins tonight! The fans cheer that! But then here comes Randy Orton! The fans also cheer for The Viper, they sing along with Voices, and Orton goes right to the ring. Orton grabs himself a mic while the fans finish singing, and then the fans cheer as Orton and Drew are face to face. Drew says this must be Orton out here to congratulate him. The fans chant “R K O!” while Orton chuckles. Orton says Drew and the fans in London all know that they don’t like each other one bit.

So no, this is not Orton here to congratulate Drew. Orton is here to remind Drew that a few months ago, Drew had the chance to kick Orton through the table and declined. The fans again chant “R K O! R K O!” Orton says he wanted to tell Drew that when Orton has the opportunity to return the favor, he won’t hesitate. he beat Drew for that title before, he’ll do it again, and it’ll be courtesy of the three most dangerous letters in all of sports entertainment: R K O! The fans cheer that, but Drew smirks. Only for JACOB FATU to show up! The fans cheer the Samoan Werewolf as he storms his way down the ramp and to the ring.

Drew wants Fatu to hold on, but Orton steps aside so Fatu can DECK Drew! Fatu goes out after Drew, DRIBBLES him off the desk, then whips again! Drew reverses to POST Fatu, but Fatu isn’t even bothered! Drew hurries away, Fatu chases him into the crowd! Orton is more amused than anything, will Drew get out of London in one piece? But then The Miz slithers in! SKULL CRUSHING FINALE on Orton!! The Hollywood A-Lister strikes outta nowhere, but will he soon regret that? We find out, after the break!

WWE Championship #1 Contender’s Qualifier: Randy Orton VS The Miz!

SmackDown returns and the match is already going as Orton fires body shots and a HEADBUTT! But Miz kicks the leg out and BASEMENT DDTS! Cover, TWO! Orton survives then bails out, then throws his shirt off. The fans rally, but Miz pursues. Orton ROCKS Miz, then brings him up for the DESK BACK- NO, Miz lands out to then CLUB Orton! Miz hits the DESK BACK SUPLEX! The fans boo as Miz mocks Orton’s signature pose, then Miz puts Orton in the ring. Miz stomps Orton, but the fans taunt Miz with, “OH~ Miz is a Wanker~!” Miz throws hands, Orton fires back, and they go back and forth.

Orton fires off haymakers, whips Miz to a corner, but Miz reverses. Miz soaks up heat, runs in at Orton, but Orton LARIATS first! And LARIATS again! Then a dodge and SNAP POWERSLAM! The fans fire up for Orton while Miz scrambles to the apron. Orton goes after Miz, brings him through the ropes, but Miz fights free! Miz hurries away while the fans boo, but Orton pursues. Orton finds Miz at the desk! Kick and DESK BACK SUPLEX! Miz sputters and writhes while the fans fire up. They want that “One More Time!” Orton obliges, another DESK BACK SUPLEX for Miz! The fans rally, they still want that “One More Time!”

Orton gets Miz up again, a third DESK BACK SUPLEX! Orton refreshes the count while Miz slumps off the desk. The fans cheer Orton, he puts Miz in the ring, and he has Miz in the ropes! The fans fire up again and Orton smiles as he drags Miz in, DRAPING DDT! The fans cheer again, and Orton hears those voices! Miz slowly rises, R K- FINALE!?! Cover, TWO!! Orton survives and the fans cheer! Miz is beside himself as Orton survives his finisher again! The fans rally behind Orton but Miz storms up to full nelson again. But Orton arm-drags free, RK- NO, Miz rolls him up, TWO! Miz scrambles, RKO!! Cover, Orton wins!

Winner: Randy Orton, by pinfall (advances to Saturday Night’s Main Event)

The fans cheer as The Viper strikes, and now punches his ticket to Montreal! But will Orton truly be the Apex Predator when he battles three others for that #1 contender’s spot?

Drew returns backstage.

He grumbles about crazy Fatu, but Ilja Dragunov finds him. The Mad Russian is glad they are finally talking face to face. Obviously, Drew has some problems, so Ilja will get to the point: Tonight, Ilja will beat Sami Zayn and be one step closer to the championship. Ilja won a championship his first night back, simply because he doesn’t fight like a sane man! Drew says yeah, he doesn’t care, there’s a crazy person after him! Go ahead, win your match, win the Fatal 4 Way, and we’ll see him at the Royal Rumble. Drew swears he did NOT knock Fatu’s teeth out, but he sure will do that to Ilja! Drew runs off, but is that true? If Drew didn’t sideline Fatu, who did?

The Wyatts speak.

Bo Dallas says, “Solo… You think you stole our light. But you’ve just inherited the weight of what it really means. The lantern has never been a weapon. We carry it in the dark, so the dark doesn’t carry us. It does not belong int he hands of someone who believes taking it is more powerful than its true purpose. It will come back to us. Like a moth to a flame, we will not rest until it’s home.” The warning has been issued, will MFT heed it?

Charlotte Flair finds Alexa Bliss backstage.

The Queen hip bumps Lil’ Miss Bliss to cheer her up, but it doesn’t really work. Alexa says last week sucked: She lost to Giulia, Nia & Lash messed with her before the match and then beat her up after. It was a complete numbers game, Alexa was alone, so was Charlotte actually sick? Or was she just “cough cough” sick? No, it was not a “cough cough,” it was a “barf barf.” And Alexa’s the one that got a title opportunity without Charlotte, but Alexa has no idea how many title opportunities Charlotte turned down because she put the team first. Really? Yes, really. Name them. Not the point. Well, does Charlotte have Alexa’s back? Does Alexa have Charlotte’s back?

Bottomline is, Alexa is Charlotte’s person. Charlotte was sick. Heart hands, and Charlotte says she’ll finish warming up. But then Nia & Lash walk in saying that was so cute. Charlotte has no reason to trust Nia, but this is typical Alexa. She makes you feel guilty then plays victim. She’s really good at it. Yeah, Charlotte has no reason to trust Nia. And they won’t like her response. As for this charade, Charlotte gets why Alexa isn’t friends with Nia. And Lash has changed. Charlotte heads out, will #Charlexa be able to focus on the match before them? Or will the Irresistible Force & Bougie Bully make sure all eyes are on them again?

Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss VS Giulia & Kiana James!

SmackDown returns and the Beautiful Madness and Miss Management are already waiting in the ring. Charlotte makes her entrance, followed by Alexa. The teams sort out and Alexa starts with Kiana. The fans “WOO~” for Charlotte while Kiana talks some trash on Alexa. Kiana shoves Alexa, but Alexa SLAPS back! The fans cheer that! Alexa then ducks a shot to SLAP, ROCK, KNEE, and DROPKICK Kiana! Alexa runs, but Kiana gets up to KNEE low! Kiana brings Alexa around, suplexes, but Alexa tags out to Charlotte. The fans “WOO~” again and Kiana talks more trash. Charlotte slips around her, Kiana ELBOWS free, then whips, but Charlotte reverses!

Kiana hits buckles, but she ELBOWS back again! Kiana goes up and over Charlotte, then SUPERKICKS! Charlotte wobbles, Kiana runs, but into Charlotte’s BOOT! Tag to Alexa, and she gets a hand in the spin and DROPKICK! Giulia tags in, Alexa dodges but Giulia ROCKS Charlotte! Alexa ROCKS Giulia! Alexa ROCKS Kiana! But then Giulia SHOTGUNS Alexa! Giulia taunts Alexa, the ref keeps Charlotte back, and SmackDown goes picture in picture.

The ref reprimands but Kiana backs off. Giulia wrenches Alexa’s hair to THROW her to the corner. Giulia stomps away on Alexa in the corner, the ref counts, but Giulia stops at 4. Giulia tags Kiana, Kiana stomps Alexa, then Kiana CLUBS Alexa. Alexa goes to another corner, Kiana whips corner to corner, and Alexa hits buckles hard! Kiana grins as she storms back up, and she bumps Alexa off buckles. Tag to Giulia and Giulia brings Alexa onto the ropes. Giulia hooks Alexa up in the ropes, and fishhooks the face! The ref counts, Giulia stops and sucker punches Charlotte! The ref stops Charlotte, Giulia DROPKICKS Alexa and Kiana BOOTS Alexa down!

Giulia ELBOW DROPS Alexa, covers, TWO! Giulia is already annoyed with the count, but she stomps away on Alexa. Giulia CLUBS Alexa, HEADBUTTS her, and HEADBUTTS again! Giulia bumps Alexa off buckles, tags Kiana, and Kiana brings Alexa around to kick a leg. Kiana taunts Alexa, but she sucker punches Charlotte! The fans give thumbs down, but Kiana snap suplexes! Charlotte protests, that distracts the ref! The ref is late to the cover, TWO! Kiana fireman’s carries Alexa, but Alexa fights to a sunset flip! TWO! Kiana stops Alexa, but she still reaches out! Kiana RAMS Alexa into the corner! And RAMS her again and again!

Kiana handsprings, runs back in, and she RAMS Alexa again! The ref counts, Giulia tags in, and Kiana snapmares Alexa to BOOT her! Giulia is up top, she MISSILE DROPKICKS! Cover, TWO! Alexa survives, but Giulia HEADBUTTS her to the cover! Charlotte again distracts, another late count, TWO! Giulia is annoyed but she tags Kiana as SmackDown returns to single picture. Kiana sends Giulia in, but Alexa dodges! Giulia hits buckles, Alexa DUMPS Kiana out, and the fans fire up! Kiana hurries back in, she anchors Alexa’s foot, then she drags her back! Alexa ENZIGIRIS free, hot tag to Charlotte!

The fans fire up as The Queen RUNS Kiana over! And RUNS her over again! CHOP and CHOP for Kiana, CHOP and CHOP for Giulia! CHOP after CHOP, “WOO~” after “WOO~,” and then Charlotte CHOPS Giulia down! Charlotte runs up, Kiana dodges, but Charlotte keeps moving! WALK OVER LARIAT! The fans fire up again and Charlotte stalks Kiana to a corner. Charlotte whips, Kiana reverses, but Charlotte goes up and out. BOOT for Giulia, BOOT for Kiana, and then Charlotte goes up! CROSSBODY on Kiana! Cover, TWO! Kiana is tougher than that, but Charlotte stays focused. The fans rally up as Charlotte runs in, but into a BOOT!

Kiana runs up, but into a BOOT! Charlotte steps on Kiana to a corner, she and Giulia scrap, and Kiana YANKS her down! The fans boo but Charlotte still wrenches Kiana to a NECKBREAKER! Charlotte runs, but into a SIPNEBUSTER! Kiana shows her power, and she tags Giulia! Giulia KNEES Charlotte down! Cover, Alexa breaks it! The fans fire up but Giulia is furious! Kiana whips, Alexa reverses and TOSSES Kiana out! But Kiana trips Alexa! Giulia has Charlotte, Charlotte shoves free, but Giulia BOOTS her! And KICKS her! And KICKS her again! Charlotte snarls, she ducks the buzzsaw!

Charlotte shoves and ROCKS Giulia! Charlotte runs, but Giulia follows to HEADBUTT! Giulia runs, but into a BOOT! Charlotte has Giulia but Kiana tags in! Charlotte runs, Kiana KNEES her first! But Alexa tags in! Kiana runs, but into the clinch! TWISTED SISTER ABIGAIL!! Cover, Charlexa wins!

Winners: Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss, by pinfall

Bliss proved she does have Charlotte’s back! But then Nia & Lash attack after all! They BLAST Giulia, DECK Alexa, and HEADBUTT Charlotte! And HEADBUTT her again! Nia POSTS Charlotte while the fans boo! Nia & Lash soak up the heat, but Giulia is back up! Kiana says hold on, hold on, they’re good. Giuila says she is NOT good, she wants after Nia! Miss Management has her client back off, if just for now. Will the Beautiful Madness make sure no one disrespects her and gets away with it?

Solo Sikoa speaks.

“Bo. You’re absolutely right. This is just more than a lantern. I can see the millions of fireflies across the world. They are now in my possession. Your legacy is in my hands. And if you want this lantern back, I suggest you put those tag team titles on the line. But that’s just the beginning. You see, my family is going to take back all the gold. But until then… I’m going to take real, real good care of this. And he is going to be with me when I take out Damian Priest and bring back the WWE Undisputed title to the family.” Solo then blows out the lantern, but will it be lights out for the Archer of Infamy? Or will Priest be the one headed to Saturday Night’s Main Event?

Cody Rhodes is here!

London sings along with Kingdom as The American Nightmare makes his entrance. There’s a bit more smoke than usual, but we still get “WHOA~ OH~!” and the pyro! Cody takes a moment to take in the crowd before he goes down the ramp and to the ring. Cody then stands on the corner for the second “WHOA~ OH~!” and pyro, but even that seems different without the Undisputed Championship on his arm or around his waist. Cody grabs the mic, the fans cheer, and Cody takes a moment to hear them singing, “Cody, Cody Rhodes~!” Cody then says, “Well, that sounds a bit different. That’s okay. That’s okay.

“Because if anything, I guess it was becoming a bit… episodic. I would come out here, I would tap my fist three times, we’d all say ‘Whoa,’ I’d walk to the ring, and I’d ask you, ‘Whaddya wanna talk about?'” The fans are a bit torn there, and Cody takes a moment. The fans now sing for “OH~ Drew McIntyre~!” Cody says don’t worry, they will discuss the NEW WWE Champion, Drew McIntyre. Cody never broke down why the name of his podcast is Whaddya Wanna Talk About. It was quite simple: He wasn’t just the company’s champion, he was the people’s champion. The fans are again torn, but Cody says he didn’t want the fans to be spectators, he wanted them to be teammates.

But perhaps Cody got comfortable with the episodic, with the predictable. He didn’t see all the eventualities, all the ways in which he could lose. Or, is Drew just that good? The fans agree there! Cody says he could ask himself that, or he could ask what HBK, Hogan, and Stone Cold have in common with Cody. Simple: they’re the only ones to go back-to-back in Royal Rumble wins. And only one of those names won it three times, that’s how a near impossible feat that is. And they all know Cody loves a gamble, he loves a long shot. Here in WWE, where we have the best men’s and women’s divisions, sometimes the best power you can have is self-belief.

So here and now, in a city that means a great deal to Cody, a city he wrestled in every weekend for WhatCulture Pro-Wrestling to sharpen his skills and became the American Nightmare, a city that DOES deserve a WrestleMania (the fans erupt for that!), let Cody make it official! Drew says there’s no rematch clause, good! They’ll do this the old fashioned way! Cody is officially declaring for the 2026 Men’s Royal Rumble match!! The fans love that, too! “So, London, what DO you wanna talk about?! Let’s talk about Jacob Fatu!” The fans are torn on that name, and Cody says he met Fatu backstage at APW, you know he’s a thoroughbred!

Cody saw Fatu VS Solo Sikoa, and you could tell Fatu was on the come up. Fatu is a young veteran in their industry. But as such, Cody is aware and positive that Fatu knows what a receipt means! And Fatu has the largest receipt coming from Cody! Fatu is all gas, no brakes, come down here and collect. Or Cody can find Fatu first and beat the brakes off his ass! The fans are fired up with Cody, but is this gambler going to bust even before we reach the Royal Rumble? Or will a fight with Fatu be just the momentum Cody needs to have his threepeat?

Backstage interview with Matt Cardona.

Cathy Kelley is with The Complete, saying he is moments away from his match with Trick Williams to qualify for the #1 Contender’s Fatal 4 Way. What would it mean to not only come back to the WWE but to win that title? Cardona says the way Cody lost was a shame, and Cardona was really looking forward to facing his friend for that belt. But now that it’ll be Drew McIntyre. They go way back, too. Drew’s first WWE match was with Zack Ryder. And just like Cody and Drew, Cardona left WWE to find himself, and he’s back, But while Cody and Drew are each former world champions, Cardona is not. Yet.

Cardona isn’t back just to be back, he wants his time at the top. The journey, the ups and downs, the grind, it all led back here for Cardona to be Undisputed Champion! Cardona is #AlwayZReady, but will he be able to #WhoopDatTrick? Or will the former NXT & TNA World Champion soon be headed for another top title in his young career?

Sami Zayn heads for gorilla.

And on the way, he crosses paths with Drew McIntyre. Drew tells Sami that he heard what Sami said last week. Sami hoped that Drew would win, but thought Cody would? Well, lucky Sami isn’t a betting man, or he’d lose big, as usual. Sami says he meant what he said, a part of him did want Drew to win, and that part of him is happy Drew did win. Because now, Sami is going to go to war with Ilja Dragunov, and win. Then next week, in Sami’s hometown of Montreal, Sami will become #1 contender. And then at the Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia, they’ll see each other again.

Oh, really inspiring, Sami, but here’s the truth: Drew has beaten Sami ELEVEN times, Sami has beaten Drew ZERO times. And if Sami does happen to make it to the Rumble, absolutely nothing changes. Sami says, “We’ll see.” Sami continues on, will he be able to defeat the Mad Russian and head home to Montreal? Or will he fall short of his world championship dreams yet again?

My Thoughts:

A great episode for SmackDown, a lot of action that also helped in the various story builds. Drew McIntyre had a great opening promo, but they also segued really well into Orton VS Miz as the opener. We also got a very good promo from Cody, and of course he wants to threepeat at the Royal Rumble. It was wild for Kit Wilson to go after Matt Cardona to give Fatu an opening to attack and then call out Cody in return. Very good brawl from Fatu and Cody, and Cody VS Fatu for Saturday Night’s Main Event is going to be great. If Drew didn’t do the attack, will Cody win against Fatu and reveal it was him all along?

Good promo from Charlexa with Nia & Lash, and then a very good tag match. Good win for Charlexa, but at least Giulia and Kiana got a bit better of a showing. But of course Lash & Nia attacked after, and now all three teams have beef. With Liv Morgan & Roxanne Perez as contenders from Raw, we’ll definitely get separate contenders for SmackDown now to parallel. Then it’ll be about Rhea & Iyo trying to survive both challenges, perhaps to build up the go-home week to Royal Rumble. If Liv & Roxie actually win, then the SmackDown team stands no chance, no matter who it is, because Liv & Roxie wouldn’t be transitional champions.

Very good stuff from Grace, Chelsea, and Jade, and I wonder if they’d give us a Triple Threat of Jade VS Grace VS Chelsea. Chelsea would definitely be the one to take the loss to keep both Jade and Grace strong, regardless of who wins. But at the same time, we’d still need a proper 1v1 of Jade VS Grace for the title to settle the feud. Good promo with Fraxiom getting payback on Gargano and setting up Frazer VS Gargano and Axiom VS Gargano. Absolutely awesome US Championship from Melo VS Leon, I did not think they’d go that hard, but it was greatly appreciated. Melo selling bad leg is definitely foreshadowing how he eventually loses that title, though it might not be for some time.

And of course, great stuff in all four SNME qualifier matches, even with all the results being how I expected. As I said last week, a shame that Cardona had to lose here, but Trick is getting on a roll already. Orton VS Miz was a great opening, and Sami VS Ilja was an awesome main event. Trick going after Sami kinda foreshadows Sami winning out in the end, as Sami VS Drew is definitely a great choice for the Royal Rumble, too. It really is a story of “Something’s gotta give.” Drew pointed out the 11-0 record between him and Sami, but Drew has/wants to make it through his first title defense, it could come down to Drew using shenanigans like he did to dethrone Cody.

My Score: 8.9/10

Andrew’s TNA iMPACT! Results & Match Ratings: 1.15.26

TNA had some time to cook up their big debut. Did they burn it, or make a succulent feast?

Published

on

AMC era has begun! Granted it’s not without a big loss, being The Rascalz seem to be headed to AEW. Which honestly I’m conflicted. If it was their decision because the money was astronomical, then I can’t fault TNA for not being able to compete with the TK Bank Account. But if TNA didn’t even try and let them walk for money that could’ve been negotiated…then TNA fumbled harder than CJ Stroud. Jake Something is a non-factor, but The Rascalz could be a big mistake.

Ratings:

  • Elijah & The Hardyz vs Order 4: Jeff wins via Swanton Bomb – *
  • TNA Knockouts Tag Titles: The IInspiration (c) vs The Elegance Brand: Maggie wins via pinfall – (-) *** – TITLE CHANGE!!!
  • TNA World Championship: Frankie Kazarian (c) vs Mike Santana: Santana wins via Spin the Block – *** 3/4 – TITLE CHANGE!!!

Results:

AJ Styles comes out to kick off TNA episodes on a new network. He walks out to the WWE theme, makes a quick hype promo, doesn’t interact with anyone aside from the crowd. Definitely feels like more could’ve been done with AJ, but it was nice to see him.

Elijah & The Hardyz vs Order 4

The Hardyz come out with some guitar guy, Justin Lyonz or something…BDE and another streamer buddy? Definitely already feels overbooked just on the intro.

Order 4 tries to start fast but things back fire quickly and…this is starting off like an old episode of like WCW Thunder. Just messy overbooked intros, hot start into a commercial. 13 minutes in and it’s not a good start. Coming back from the commercial, Ali had the advantage but then Jeff Hardy is turning it around, all the apron dwellers are down. Ali tries the Rolling Neckbreaker, Jeff catches him with a Twist of Fate. Tasha tries to get in the way, Ali gets shoved into her, Matt hits the Twist of Tasha draped over Ali…shmoz spot. The Great Hands actually turn things around after the pinfall break, but Elijah stops them with some Mule Kick action, into a Twist from Matt and Swanton from Jeff. I think we saw maybe 3 minutes of this and it was all just cliche chaos crap.

Loser Agent Zero attacks after the fact…even though Elijah laid him out last week and the luster is off of Zero. He’s a joke. The Righteous come out to make a…Save? Dutch hits Death Walks on Matt and Vincent pulls out…a pad lock or something and then chains Jeff to the post via his eat gauge. This is…an embarrassing mess of crap just happening.  If this is anyone’s first episode, I apologize for the Crash TV whiplash effect of this so far.

20 minutes of worthless D List Star spotting that leads to a comedy spot with Ryan Nemeth (which is fine, I love Ryan) but then it goes into Santino finding a new General Manager type because he’s been compromised. And it’s…Sonya Deville with Daria Rae as her new gimmick name. She comes out as the heel “management” type who wants to get rid of Santino. And…she apparently signed Elayna Black. Yikes, back to back no one cares reveals. Sonya Deville and Cora Jade. Cora’s hot, but wrestling competence…ya that’s non-existent.

I can almost tolerate Sonya since she’s supposed to come out and be a heel immediately, so the lack of current love, buzz and pop, is fine. But bringing Cora Jade along like she’s anything more than eye candy is…pathetic. It has been 30 minutes since the last actual wrestling match happened.

WHY DO WE GO INTO ANOTHER GOOFBALL TALK SEGMENT?!?!? The Elegance Brand, with Perez Hilton…has he even been relevant since like 2008? What is this? I get that it’s a dumb shtick before the match but STOP TALKING. This…Mr Elegance thing is complete garbage.

TNA Knockouts Tag Titles: The IInspiration (c) vs The Elegance Brand

The IInspiration comes down to stop the awful segment and as soon as things start we cut to commercial again. WHY. M has control cause of course the heels are in control until Cassie gets the knees up and M crashes and burns on the Moonsault. Jessie hot tag, lays out both Elegance members. She dispatches of M, Armbar Suplex on Heather but the Concierge pulls out Jessie. Jessie blocks the numbers game but eats combination kicks from Heather. They go for their Bow and Arrow, Stomp combo but Cassie shoves off Heather, IInspiration double teams M, Mr Elegance hops on the apron and gets slapped.

This is a sloppy mess of over booked gimmicked garbage. Idolizer on Maggie but interference for days and Maggie gets the pin and the…I don’t care. Get rid of these titles. I love Maggie, but this is pathetic and the fact we need NXT tag teams to flesh out a contender bracket is sad. What the actual FUCK is this episode? This feels like a fever dream.

Jesus, okay the Visa issue is legit because I know there’s problems in e-sports and other professional mediums. But now Lei Ying Lee comes out because her title match becomes an Open Challenge because Dani can’t compete at Genesis. ZaRuca comes out, and I don’t care who challenge Lei, but I swear if TNA makes Lei drop the title to an NXT wrestler again. Sol actually says Zaria deserves the shot, which surprises Zaria…kind of a nice moment. But still…I swear, no more NXT wrestlers taking TNA gold.

Christ on a crutch, another talking segment. The System has to say stuff because Dango is retiring on Saturday, but come the hell on. So far there have been 2 matches, we saw 3 minutes of the first one, some people missed the entire second match because AMC ran back to back commercial breaks. But even seeing it, there’s was about 4 minutes of interference in that match. 90 minutes so far, and there’s been 7 minutes of visible wrestling. They’ve done garbage shows like this before, but I was hoping they would know better than to give us some gum flapping imbecile show. But NOOO.

TNA World Championship: Frankie Kazarian (c) vs Mike Santana

Collar and Elbow tie up, Kaz tries the early Chicken Wing, but Santana fights it off and tries to catch him with a Spin the Block, but easily dodged and we reset. Santana hits the Shoulder Tackle and the crowd pops probably because it’s actually wrestling for what feels like the first time all night. Frankensteiner sends Frankie to the floor, Escalera Plancha from Santana keeps Kaz on the receiving end. Santana launches off the steps but misses and Kaz connects with a Belly to Belly.

Back from yet another terribly timed commercial, we see Kaz get shoved off the ropes, Santana tries the Rolling Buck Fifty, but Kaz connects with a Backstabber. He then decides to talk smack to Santana and big brother him. Santana absorbs Kaz’s shots, fires and then throws his own haymakers. Santana going a little Sting with a big Woo, catches Kaz’s foot and then Gamengiri. Kaz cuts him off, Santana cuts off Kaz, Rolling Buck Fifty out of the up and over, but only a 2 count.

Kaz claws the eyes, shoves Santana away, but Santana climbs the buckles again, Spanish Fly, no sell, into a struggle for signature moves when Santana snaps off a Code Red for another near fall. Santana takes too long to go for the Cannonball, knees up, Kaz hits the Angel’s Wings for two. Chicken Wing attempt two, but Santana rolls over into the pinfall, Kaz kicks out. A little cat and mouse on the Guillotine, but Slingshot Cutter into the Springboard Guillotine Leg Drop for two again!

Frankie tries to bring in the belt, it gets taken away, finisher counters, Fighting Spirit, Spin the Block misses, Kaz goes for a Shotgun Kick but ref bump. Santana hits the Spin the Block but the ref is dead. Kaz looks for the discarded belt, clocks Santana with it while the referee is still dead. Kaz aims for Fade to Black on the apron and connects! Throws Santana back into the ring, cover, Santana kicks out at two and fires! Kaz with the Canadian Destroyer but Santana no sells, Spin the Block! 1-2-2.999. Kaz kicked out of it. Kaz dodges the next STB, tries one of his own, but then Santana connects with another!

Overall Score: 2.5/10

This was an awful trainwreck of a fever dream. The Main Event was the only thing worth watching, and if you’re not a TNA fan, I wouldn’t expect people to have stuck around that long. The Main Event is 2 of the 2.5 points, the only other slightly decent part was utilizing Sonya Deville’s relative lack of interest and expected lack of pop, to just make her a heel out of the gates.

Everything else about this show was complete unadulterated dogshit. Mr Elegance talks like young Chris Jericho, Ryan Nemeth and Peter Brady did a failed fusion dance. The concept was cringe the execution is worse. The constant commercials at the start of matches and coming back for 2-3 minutes of trash is a 90s formula that doesn’t work nowadays. 80% of this show was useless talking, highlight segments of the history of TNA and running around to fix Genesis matches because all the UK wrestlers can’t make the show.

This was pathetic. If this was people’s first time watching TNA, it probably will be their last. This show made WCW Thunder look competent. I yearn for the days of Disco Inferno vs Lodi. Van Hammer vs Mike Awesome during his fat chick thriller era, would be better writing and television than whatever this was.
