Becky Lynch Reveals Contract Details Behind 10-Month WWE Hiatus
Becky Lynch told Chris Van Vliet on Insight that her May 2024–April 2025 absence from WWE was a planned break rather than an exit, explaining she was burnt out from a babyface run, life on the road with her daughter and writing a book. Lynch said Triple H pushed to extend her contract so she would continue getting paid — what she expected to be a three-month pause ultimately stretched to roughly ten months.
Lynch used the time off to spend more time at home and pursue acting, including a role on the Paramount Plus series Star Trek: Starfleet Academy, and is set to return at WrestleMania 42 night one to challenge AJ Lee for the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Title while her husband Seth Rollins is booked to face Gunther that same night.
