Billy Gunn Has No Concrete Retirement Plans, Says He’ll Keep Wrestling “While I’m Having Fun”
At 62, Billy Gunn told Chris Van Vliet he has no set retirement timeline and will continue wrestling as long as he’s enjoying it. Gunn said he doesn’t actively plan to work until 70 but conceded it’s possible, adding he’s “slowing down a little” and joking that his wife hates watching his goofy, stress-free performances.
A veteran since 1989, Gunn has competed across WWE, TNA, NJPW, AEW and the independent scene; his most recent match was a trios bout in April 2026. He remains active in AEW and ROH while also holding a WWE legends contract, leaving his in-ring future open-ended.
