Carmella Teases In-Ring Return After AEW Star Uses Code Of Silence Variant

Former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Carmella reacted on social media after indie talent B3CCA appeared to use a variation of her Code of Silence submission on this week’s AEW Collision against Kris Statlander. Carmella wrote there’s “a difference between homage and theft,” adding “I didn’t retire, I had two babies… might have to come back and show these bitches how it’s really done,” teasing the possibility of an in-ring return.

Carmella hasn’t wrestled since March 2023, when she teamed with Damage CTRL and Piper Niven at a Road to WrestleMania house show at Madison Square Garden, and her WWE contract status remains unconfirmed despite still being listed on the roster. There’s no indication yet she’ll appear for AEW or return to WWE television, but her comments have ignited fan speculation.
