Carmella Teases Return After AEW Star Uses Code Of Silence-Style Submission
Former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Carmella reacted on social media after independent star B3CCA appeared to use a version of her Code Of Silence submission on AEW Collision against Kris Statlander, writing there’s “a difference between homage and theft” and teasing that she “didn’t retire” and “might have to come back” to show current stars how it’s done. The post has sparked speculation about a possible in-ring return after more than two years away from TV.
Carmella hasn’t wrestled since a March 2023 Road to WrestleMania house show at Madison Square Garden where she teamed with Damage CTRL and Piper Niven; her contract status remains unconfirmed despite still being listed on WWE’s roster page. There’s no concrete indication she’ll sign with AEW or return to WWE yet, but her social reaction has fans wondering if a comeback could be on the horizon.
