Carmelo Hayes: Shawn Michaels Set the Bar High in WWE NXT
Carmelo Hayes reflected on Shawn Michaels’ influence during his time in WWE NXT, saying the Hall of Famer set a demanding standard that pushed him to elevate both his in-ring work and character. Hayes credited Michaels’ example and occasional guidance with helping him grasp what it takes to stand out and perform consistently at a high level.
Hayes said learning from Michaels made him more disciplined and focused on delivering championship-caliber performances night after night, shaping his approach as he continues to climb the ranks. The experience, he noted, has fueled his drive to keep raising the bar throughout his career.
