CM Punk Says He Has “So Much More” to Accomplish in WWE
Speaking on the All the Smoke podcast, 47-year-old CM Punk said he has no plans to retire soon but that his perspective on wrestling has shifted beyond just in-ring performance. Punk called wrestling a sport and said WWE needs smart coaches and brains behind the operation; he believes he’s one of the rare performers who can both excel in the ring and serve as a coach or mentor.
Punk emphasized giving back to younger talent and ending the old-school hazing culture, saying he wants to treat new wrestlers better than he was treated and help them succeed as teammates. The World Heavyweight Champion heads into WrestleMania 42 prepared to defend his title against Roman Reigns this Sunday night.
