Cody Rhodes Names His Top Five WrestleMania Performers on ESPN First Take

Cody Rhodes continued his WrestleMania 42 media tour with an appearance on ESPN’s First Take, where he ranked his five greatest WrestleMania performers based solely on their in-ring work at the event: Hulk Hogan, Roman Reigns, Shawn Michaels, Randy Savage and Charlotte Flair. Rhodes acknowledged some tough omissions, saying he expects heat for leaving off Steve Austin and that excluding Austin was harder for him than leaving out The Undertaker.

Rhodes did not include himself but said he hopes his record will earn him a spot in future rankings, noting that headlining WrestleMania is the most difficult feat in WWE; he’s now heading into what he counts as his fifth main event (including both matches from WrestleMania 40), with Roman Reigns involved in three of those bouts. WrestleMania 42 main events are Rhodes vs. Randy Orton on Saturday and CM Punk vs. Reigns on Sunday, and First Take will broadcast live from Allegiant Stadium on Friday.
