Cody Rhodes Praises Dominik Mysterio’s Charisma, Backs His ‘Training Backwards’ Path

On his What Do You Wanna Talk About podcast with Liv Morgan, Cody Rhodes praised Dominik Mysterio, saying he “oozes charisma” and commended Mysterio’s unconventional development — learning crowd work and psychology first, with in-ring fundamentals coming later. Rhodes compared that approach to his own early training and applauded Dominik’s ability to engage live audiences as his technical skills caught up.

Dominik debuted in WWE in 2020, initially teaming with his father Rey Mysterio before joining The Judgment Day and turning heel in 2022, a move that carved out his distinct identity. He faced Demon Finn Bálor in a Street Fight at WrestleMania, is a two-time Intercontinental Champion and currently holds the AAA Mega Championship.
