Damian Priest Steps In as Fans Mob WWE Stars at WrestleMania Hotel
A video of CM Punk snatching a fan’s phone after WWE WrestleMania 42 circulated online, and PWInsider reports that incident was not isolated. Damian Priest reportedly intervened when fans swarmed a female WWE talent seeking autographs and photos, while another crowd nearly knocked over a referee. The hotel’s connection to the casino led to fans camping by elevators and in the lobby, with stars such as Randy Orton and Drew McIntyre repeatedly hounded amid what many described as minimal on-site security.
WWE performers have frequently addressed the risks of public encounters, with names like Rhea Ripley, Kevin Owens, The Undertaker and Chelsea Green warning fans to avoid confronting talent in unsecured locations. Stephanie Vaquer recently said a fan continued to follow her at an airport after she declined photo requests, leaving her feeling uneasy — underscoring ongoing concerns about talent safety during major events.
