DOUKI Snatches Tiger Mask at NJPW Wrestling Redzone, Fuels Deathmatch Demand
At New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s Wrestling Redzone event on April 25, an undercard eight-man tag matched Tiger Mask IV, Togi Makabe, Oleg Boltin and Aaron Wolf against HOUSE OF TORTURE’s Ren Narita, Don Fale, DOUKI and Dick Togo. In the closing moments DOUKI ripped Tiger Mask’s mask off, a highly provocative act that immediately drew heat and intensified the rivalry.
The confrontation prompted Tiger Mask to push for a lumberjack deathmatch stipulation for his upcoming IWGP Junior Heavyweight title defense at Wrestling Hizen no Kuni, raising the stakes as the feud builds toward the regional show. The mask snatching has become the focal point of the feud heading into the championship bout.
