JD McDonagh Eyes Producer Role, Mentorship and an Irish Wrestling Academy After In-Ring Career
In a recent interview with German Suplex Talk, JD McDonagh said he can’t picture life away from wrestling and hopes to remain involved after he’s done competing, possibly as a producer helping younger talent or by opening a wrestling academy in Ireland. McDonagh emphasized he’s focused on the present but has long-term ambitions to mentor new stars and give back to the sport that has defined his life since age 12.
McDonagh was moved to Raw in the 2023 WWE Draft and briefly joined The Judgment Day at Finn Balor’s urging before their split led to a bitter feud; Balor picked up a singles win over McDonagh on Raw last week only to be ambushed by Dominik Mysterio afterward. McDonagh also competed in the six-man ladder match for the Intercontinental Title at WrestleMania 42 and continues to proclaim himself among the top talents while feeling underrated.
