John Cena Slams “No Reason” Appearances Ahead of WrestleMania 42
John Cena joined The Undertaker and Michelle McCool for a live episode of Six Feet Under at WWE World ahead of WrestleMania 42 and took aim at talent who “just show up without a reason,” saying, “I hate when people just show up without a why.” The 17-time World Champion’s comments were made while discussing the state of WWE appearances and were widely interpreted as a possible dig at Travis Scott’s unexpected involvement in last year’s WrestleMania main event.
Cena’s remark also comes with fresh context for his recent on-screen persona: his heel turn gained steam after Elimination Chamber but lost momentum at WrestleMania 41 when The Rock didn’t appear and Scott’s cameo had little impact. While Cena is confirmed to host WrestleMania 42, it remains unclear whether he’ll compete, and his recent retirement announcement in December makes any in-ring return notable.
